we all used to go. I say, we all my
cousins and I all used to go to my grandmother's
house on Christmas Eve and my mom's a lot brothers
and sisters, and we'd go to my dad's as well,
but my mom's was really festive. All the cousins got
together there, the parents would gamble and we'd have we'd

(00:54):
play music, we'd have card games like ac Doucy and stuff,
and there'd be a lot of food and it was
just fun with all the kids being I love those times. Yeah, yeah,
that that I look back on that fuly.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Let us know what you think on Twitter and on
with Mario Holdays from the entire On with Mario fam More,
fested fun coming up, count.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Down, Christmas rolls on and you're all Mario Courtney Lopez.
Just twenty three days until Sanna. I feel like the
time between Halloween and Christmas just evaporates, Like where does
it go?

Speaker 4 (01:28):
It never felt like this when we when I was younger.
I don't maybe because I'm a parent now, it's just
it's different.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
I'm glad you put the decorations up early.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Well, I have to because it takes me a couple
of weeks to finish everything, because I do like a
half an hour here, a half an hour there, enjoy it,
you know, and I want to enjoy it. I don't
want to just put it up and then the next
day I feel like I have to take it down
right exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Al Mari Lopez taking a quick digital pit stop over
at allmara dot com to see it's trending.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
What do we got?

Speaker 7 (02:01):
Taylor Lautner hilariously offers an alternate ending to the Twilight saga.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Oh he's got jokes, huh?

Speaker 7 (02:07):
I guess. Megan Fox shows off for baby bumping some
sheer Lingerie.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Mgk's baby second one.

Speaker 7 (02:13):
And Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's son Knox makes a
rare red carpet appearance alongside his mother.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Yeah, I saw that handsome kid, tall, good blend looks.

Speaker 7 (02:22):
I think he looks a lot like her.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Yeah he does, but you could. You can tell Brad too. Yeah,
you can go to almar dot com for all that
and more. As we get back to the music, you'll.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Mario and Courtney Lopez and I've got a friend of
mine where we pretty much see eyed eye on everything
in life.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
That's why we've been good friends for a long time.
I've known the guy since I was eighteen.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Anything from like even politics and religion will pretty much
see the eye.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
However, or you force him to agree with you.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
No, no, no, I do not force That's how we've
ever managed to be good friends. However, the only thing
we butt heads on, and it's an issue every time
he comes to stays with me is the food apartment.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Because he has the palette of a five year old.
Literally could eat me seventy five. He could literally eat
off the kid's menu. And be fine with it. I'm talking.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
My guy doesn't put ketchup on his burgers or fries
because it's too spicy. I'm like, wow, and me over here,
I've got to have my nose running and eyes watering
because I like everything so spicy all the time. So
we were with another group of friends. My one buddy
was just blown away because he hadn't sat down and
ate next to him. There were two different friend groups
and we were both putting a lot of holapennoes on

(03:32):
our food. Now, mind you, they're the little sliced holapenos,
not like a full.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
Holopeno pepper like on the side of a pizza.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Exactly the slice holopenos.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
He offered him, long story short, one hundred dollars for
every halapeno.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
He will eat. And there was a bowl there.

Speaker 7 (03:49):
I said, you got to get in there.

Speaker 8 (03:51):
Man.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
He's like, nope, can't do it.

Speaker 6 (03:53):
Won't do it. He could have.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I said, just shove five in your mouth.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
You could have five hundred dollars really quick, boom there,
hook up some Christmas presents for your boy.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
And he refused to do it. He texted me later
and he goes, gosh, I should have done it.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
I should have done it. I go off course. First
of all, it would open up your palate. You would
maybe get a little flavor in your life, and you'll
see it's not that bad. I'm not talking hobn arrow peppers.
I'm talking jalapeno peppers. It just have like a little
flavor to him.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
And he would not do it one hundred per little
slice slice.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
I would be like twenty easy, right, yeah, just get
in there. He did not. Now it's going to haunt him.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Let us know what you think. On Twitter and on
with Mario Holidays from the entire on with Mario fam
more fest and fun coming up?

Speaker 7 (04:39):
What up?

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Mario Courtney Lopez here with a quick reminder to tune
in this Wednesday as I helped light the Rockefeller Christmas
Tree over on NBC. I'm looking forward to see what
the weather is. That's always my biggest concern in southern California. Boy,
but it's a lot of fun. It's going down this
Wednesday on Mario dot com to find out more. Oh,
Mario Courtney Lope, a few more songs, hanging a fire

(05:02):
up the zoom and shout my buddy Julil White, you know,
and of course as Steve Arkle from Family Matters back
in the day and now he's got a book that
dives into that more.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Back with Jaliel and ten hangk tight.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Mario Lopez joining me right now on Zoom my old
friend Jalil White.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
What's going on?

Speaker 6 (05:19):
Man? What's going on? Mario?

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Always nice to see you, Juliel. We were just talking.

Speaker 6 (05:26):
Can we just clarify how long have we known each other?

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Well, since the nineties for sure.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
I don't know what year in the nineties, but definitely
so a few decades now, in a few decades now,
so you.

Speaker 6 (05:37):
Know, I mean it's been it definitely had. I remember
seeing you most at the Hollywood Christmas.

Speaker 7 (05:42):
Bread Really.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
That's funny.

Speaker 6 (05:45):
Hollywood, the Hollywood Christmas.

Speaker 8 (05:47):
Parade when that was the thing, it was like, I
look forward to seeing you every year there. And then
another time you helped me secure my prom date at
the at the NBA All Star Game in Minnesota.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Wait, how did I help that? With the assists right down?

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Talking about Wait, I got it here by the way,
So I was like Magic Johnson with the assist right there.

Speaker 8 (06:10):
So I have the funniest prom date story ever.

Speaker 6 (06:16):
My mom wanted me to go to prom.

Speaker 8 (06:17):
And I wasn't dating anybody else, too busy on the
show and I was kind of a geek off the
off screen anyway too, and so she was like, you're
going to Problem.

Speaker 6 (06:24):
I was like nah, and she was like, oh, I'm
getting my picture. You're going to prom.

Speaker 8 (06:28):
And she was like, who would you like to go
to Problem with? If you could go with anybody? So
I just said some crazy stuff. I said, yeah, you know,
it was this beautiful black girl I saw at the
NBA All Star Game in Utah last year.

Speaker 6 (06:37):
If you ever found her, I'd go with her.

Speaker 8 (06:39):
My mom called the NBA and found her in the
archives in photos that she had taken day. Yes, yes,
So they ranged for me to meet her in uh
in Minnesota at the Minnesota All Star Game that you know,
I used to play video games and stuff in the
hospitality room when I were there and you and I
were going add an NBA J and she walked in

(07:03):
and it was the first time I'd ever seen her
in person, and she was studying.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
I'm eighteen years old.

Speaker 8 (07:07):
She's the prettiest girl I've ever you know, talked to,
and I could tell like she was she was interested
in meeting me.

Speaker 6 (07:14):
Really, we were the only three people late at.

Speaker 8 (07:17):
Night playing les NBA jams and she was waiting for
me at the table, but I was really focused on
trying to kick your ass.

Speaker 6 (07:24):
In NBA jams. And you looked at me and you
were like, dude, is she waiting for you?

Speaker 8 (07:29):
And I'm like, yeah, you know they wanted to introduce
He was like, get off the games there.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
See, I've got up right.

Speaker 7 (07:37):
I love that story.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
All right, Julio, hang on for me, gonna take a
quick break, and we're gonna come back with Morjelil White.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Happy holidays to you and yours. This is on with
Mario Lopez.

Speaker 6 (07:47):
Won't be right back.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Mario Lopez getting back to Julia White, who's on Zoom
with us.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
New book is Growing Up Ercle.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
And before the break, you were telling us a basketball
related story, and speaking of basketball, I just want everybody
know I remember you had mad skills on the basketball court.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Brother.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
I don't know if you still keep it up, but
I remember you could really play. I was like, dang,
he could play.

Speaker 6 (08:07):
You know what.

Speaker 8 (08:08):
I'll always be able to shoot, but I'm not out
here trying to challenge these these youngsters these days filming everything,
and I can't even tell what's to travel these days.

Speaker 6 (08:17):
Right, you get three steps? If you get four steps, now,
I don't.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
Know what you get you in the NBA, you get
like four or five at least. So the story you
told me, that's a great one, and that's stuff like
that's what we'll read about it in the memoir Growing
Up Urkle.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Correct, Yes, yes, I do the audio version.

Speaker 6 (08:34):
So for all of you people who don't read, don't
even worry about it. Throw me owning your car. Read
it to you.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Growing Up r Cole is the name of the book.
We're gonna have more with Jalil White coming up.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Getting the scoop on Growing Up Urkle from Julia White
this hour, Mario Lopez here and speaking of her Cole.
I read that you wouldn't do a family matter's reboot,
Uh if if it was presented?

Speaker 3 (08:57):
Did I understand that?

Speaker 7 (08:58):
Correctly?

Speaker 1 (08:59):
No?

Speaker 8 (08:59):
I was never really offered one dog. You know, these
reboots are kind of low hanging fruit. Sometimes they don't
necessarily they're not packaged with all the good things that
people would want to see long term beyond just you know,
car wreck entertainment.

Speaker 6 (09:12):
Let's just see what they look like doing it for
one or two episodes. So I've never been officially offered
a reboot.

Speaker 8 (09:17):
I talk about it in the book when I think
people would like to see And that's what it's always
been about for me, Mario, like I care about the
audience experience. You know, I've people have been recognized my face,
my entire life. Man, I'm turning turning forty eight tomorrow
in two days.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
Good for you, Good for you.

Speaker 6 (09:36):
You know, I'm kind of over the fame thing.

Speaker 8 (09:38):
But the one thing I will never ever ever be
over is when an audience responds to something that we've
done at a high level and they want more of it.
They genuinely think it's dope what we've done. And that's
what I sign up to do tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Absolutely wise.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
I know you did an animated Ercle Christmas movie last year,
Kele Sanah, you didn't like that.

Speaker 6 (10:00):
It out fair enough?

Speaker 2 (10:03):
That's part Cole right there, Cole put some coal right there?
All right, Julia, hang tight, We're gonna have more with
Julian White. I have a little more music, all Mario Lopez,
your little White hanging out on Zoom.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
New book is growing up, Arkle and this is awesome.

Speaker 6 (10:17):
You're in the.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Disney Plus series Star Wars Skeleton Crew this December. You're
playing gun to my boys, big Star Wars fans. What's
the premise of this one.

Speaker 8 (10:26):
I'm excited, man, I'm you know, they kind of got
me on hand golden handcuffs over there.

Speaker 6 (10:31):
All I can say is that I really think that
it's going.

Speaker 8 (10:34):
To help restore a lot of the childlike magic that's
associated with the Star Wars universe. And it's not for children,
So that's the best part. You know, You've got young
people that are at the center of the story, but
it's not for children. Yeah, this is one of the
biggest budget projects I've ever been on. The John Watts
and the two Chris's that are our executive producers just

(10:56):
did a masterful job with this one. And I just
think even with your son, man, you're gonna enjoy watching
this bad boy around the holidays together.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
I love it. We watch all of them from Mandaloria
and Obi one.

Speaker 6 (11:08):
If you like Mandalorian and all those you like.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
They do such a great job. Congrats on that, man,
and hang on, one more thing. I want to ask,
we're going to come back and wrap it up with
Leah White.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Well you're the full interview now at On with Mario
dot Com. Pappy Holidays from the entire On with Mario
fam more festive fun coming.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Up, wrapping up with Julia White, who's on Zoom. Mario
Lopez here and congrats on the game show man, because
I follow you. I see you right there hosting flip
side over on GSN.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
How's the game work?

Speaker 6 (11:35):
Flip Side's great, man, It's such an easy game show.
At the end of the day.

Speaker 8 (11:38):
You can't have people did thinking outside the box too much.
It's uh, we ask one question on one group of people,
and then we ask the flip side of that same
question to the opposite group of people.

Speaker 6 (11:47):
So we'll ask, you.

Speaker 8 (11:48):
Know, we'll ask flight attendants a question about passengers, and
then we'll ask passengers a question about flight attendant. What's
the most annoying thing that a flight attendant can do
while you're sleeping up you with their car, you know.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
Wa wake you up and ask you if you want
something to eat while you're sleeping.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
I want something to eat.

Speaker 8 (12:07):
Exactly, and you have to pick the top response that
you think the nation picked in a pole. After that,
the second round is just this or that you are you?
Are you Chick fil A? Are you raising kings? And
you like you like the toilet paper under and over?
And that's a speed round.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (12:23):
That was my favorite round because you can.

Speaker 8 (12:25):
Be really losing at the game and but in this
round you can come all the way back. And in
the last round, the bonus round, we asked one question
with ten possible answers. You've got to guess the top
five answers and if you.

Speaker 6 (12:38):
Do, we get you ten thousand dollars.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
That's great, gig, fun manse gig. Good for you, brother, congrats.
I'm always I'm always happy to see friends, especially former
child actors do well.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
Right there.

Speaker 6 (12:49):
Thank you.
