hours ahead of us going to go head to head
in our weekly Fake Debate, honor our comment of the week.

Mario Courtney Lopez. AM Mario Lopez, keeping the music and
fun coming your ways. We fire up zoom so we
can chat with actress, singer and podcaster Janet Kramer. Busier

(00:28):
than ever, a new Lifetime movie premiere in this weekend,
still doing her wind Down podcast and a mom of three,
so lots of talk about when Jana joins us after
the top of the hour, so Beryl Mario Lopez joining
me right now. Actress and country singer, My girl, Jana Kramer.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
What's going on, Jennau.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Nice to see you. You look great as always. I
was just talking about your cute little boy. Well, all
your kids are cute, but the little guy is just
the I love little chunky babies.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
How old is he now?

Speaker 3 (00:56):
What's he coming in at?

Speaker 4 (00:57):
So he is eighteen months old. Yeah, he's going to
be two in November. And it's just it's going by.
I know they always say like it goes by so fast,
but I mean this is like flying by. And he
is he is so much just boy energy, climbing on everything.
I mean, he's he's our little menace.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
I got a menace myself. That's awesome. All right, Jana
hank tight gonna play a few more songs and we
have more, but Jackuick al Maria Lopez got Jane Kramer
on Zoom with us, and let's talk about your new
movie on Lifetime. Kidnapped by a Killer, the Heather Robinson's story.
It looks it looks intense, obviously and based on true events.
When did it take place?

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Oh, my goodness, back in like the eighties. Okay, yeah,
so a long time ago. I mean not too long ago,
but yeah, so a while back. But it was it
was crazy. It was one of those where I was
reading the scripts and I'm like, this cannot be real,
Like there's no way this this is this is a
true story. And I had no Lifetime loves to do
the rip from the headline stories.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
But I mean stolen close note version.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Cloth note version is he Steve Guttenberg's character is just
a complete con man and murder and he murders a
woman and that baby he gives to his brother says
he's got this like adoption agency gives and gives a
baby to the brother like I found this baby. I
work in this adoption agency And yeah, isn't that. And

(02:25):
so then this girl grows up being like who is
you know it, kind of starts piecing things together and
finds out that her uncle is actually the one who
killed her mom.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Wow, that's wild.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
Yeah, And then to this day they still don't know
like where her remains are and stuff, which is just
so it's like so sad and her story is I mean,
it's crazy, but I'm you know, obviously for her to
for Heath Robinson to tell her story and be so
brave and it's you know that that piece is the
part that I love, like for women to like take
power back in it.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Fun on the way on with Mario.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Lopez, getting back to Janet Kramer, who was hanging out
on Zoom with us. This hour You're on with Mario
Lopez new Lifetime movie is kidnapped by a killer, and
you play one of the detectives, right.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
The detective who just has that gut feeling that like
she knows something is off with this man. And she,
this detective you know, through the years, is just like, no,
he will do this again, Like you have to keep
him in prison, and like he's gonna and of course
that he gets out and he kills somebody else again.
And so she's just like fights her entire career to
keep this man out of you know, to keep him

(03:32):
in prison because he's gonna get but like he just
trying to catch him was was a mouse game.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
I love those kind of stories. We'll congrats on that.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Hang tight.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
We're gonna have more with Jana Kramer on the way
first and more music catch know with Jana Kramer this hour.
Mario Lopez here, and can you tell me about this.
I saw on your ig that you're teasing a new
project with Haley Duff.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
Is uh, oh my goodness. We just I mean filmed
the most beautiful and she her brain is I mean,
she's so talented actress and I've never worked with her
on the directing side, but her brain is so just
like she's like, I want the shot and she's like
and she gets it, like she's just like she's great
and we had so much fun. It's almost like the

(04:14):
Notebook Meets Meets like a Horse, you know. It's like
it's like it's a horse movie, but it's a lot
of like notebook threads and.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Yeah, yeah, does it have a title?

Speaker 4 (04:28):
It is it's a working title at the moment.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Okay, yeah, okay, Well, congrats on that, all right. Jana
Hague tight a few more songs. Want to come back
and talk a little podcasting with Janet Cramer al Mario
Lopez actress and singer Janet Kramer on Zoom Busier than Ever,
a new Lifetime movie. And you also have a weekly
podcast wind Down with Janet Kramer And in the latest episode,
revealed you got an offer for a movie role with

(04:52):
some Academy Award nominees. Right, did you end up taking
it or what was it? Can you discuss it?

Speaker 4 (04:56):
I didn't take it and no, and I can't I
can't say who I don't because I kind of it's
not that I would never talk well, you know, but
it wasn't like a finished script. It was kind of chaotic.
But I'm doing another movie. I just got an offer for.
It's a beautiful film that we're filming in Nashville, which
is going to be great. So it's just I kind
of had to look at all the pieces and go,

(05:17):
you know, as a parent of three, I need things
a little bit more. I need more than like three
days notice, Yeah, for an unfinished And having said that,
this movie I found out I landed in the Bahamas
with my husband. We were on a little getaway. I landed,
I got the offer for this movie, and then the next
day we flew out of the Bahamas to go film
the movie. But it was a finished script. So that's

(05:38):
like a little different, you know, wasn't.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Finished fun stuff.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
All right, One more thing I want to ask, so
Hank tight back to wrap it up with Jen after quick.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
Break when you're the full interview now at on with
Mario dot Com more Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
We're wrapping up with Jenna Kramer. You're on Mario Lopez
and Jenny Earlier, you mentioned your husband and I know
you live in Nashville. Is he in this line of
work or.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
Know he is a professional soccer coach. He's played for
years in Scotland. He's Scottish and uh, he's he's wonderful,
but he's a he's a coach and uh he said
he always kind of wanted to dabble in acting. He
took like one Ivana Chubbick thing when he was out playing.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I haven't heard that even a long time.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
That's cool.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
Yeah, so maybe one day, you know, well he'll if
there's a role for a Scotsman because his American accent
is as bad as my Scottish accent.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
So Scottish accent is a cool one.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
What about what about music?

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Is that still a focus here?

Speaker 4 (06:33):
So me and Jesse Decker may have just teased something.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
I saw you guys in your Daisy Dukes out there.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
Yeah, so maybe something's coming.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
So okay, all right, good for you, Good for you.

Speaker 4 (06:45):
Nice, just just doing doing the thing, Jann, thanks for
checking in. Thanks friend, Always good seeing you.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Mario Courtney Lopez, there was some quick buzz for you.
The Netflix show Beef is coming back for season two. Yay,
we love the first season. They've got a whole new
cast is timeo. It's going to star oscar Isaac and
Carrie mull again. I like both of them. That's cool.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
I do like both of them, but we really like
the first cast too. But we also love White Lotus
and that's a different cast every year. Apparently the setting
will be an elite country club where a boss gets
into an alarming fight with his wife.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Ali Wong is.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
Staying on as executive producer. The first season one to
eight Emmys, including Outstanding Limited Series. I think Ali Wong
should just do.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
Like a cameo or something.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
She was great in that.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
Oh, I like that.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
This is going to be a White Lotus type show
with a similar premise but with different casts. Oh that's Oh,
that's going to be good. Yeah. On Mario Courtney Lopez
and I was talking about NEPO babies earlier in the week,
and it got me thinking about some of the most
talented people who are technically NEPO babies but break the mold.
For example, Michael Douglas, son of Kirk Douglas. His dad

(08:08):
at his time was one of the biggest movie stars
ever was Swartacus and then when he came on the
scene the Apes, Yeah, Planet of the Apes. But when
Michael came on the scene in the seventies with a
TV show first Streets of San Francisco, and then he
became like the biggest star in the eighties with Wall Street,
Fatal Attraction, Basic Instinct, Romancing the Stone, Romance the Stone.

(08:28):
But I love that, But that's an example, like he
was great. He just happens to have a dad that
was a very talented You gotta imagine that a lot
of the talent's going to trickle down sometimes.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
No, absolutely, and I have a hard time thinking of
Kirk Douglas because that was before we were even born.
So I feel like the generation like our parents though
kind of forget.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Well.

Speaker 6 (08:47):
It's also weird because like Michael Douglas now looks like
Kirk Douglas, right, because he's gotten so much older. So
it's like it gets confusing.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
Gwyneth Paltrow is daughter of actress Blythe Tanner and director
Bruce Paltrow. She of course went on Oscar in a
Golden Globe and an Emmy. A lot of people forget
just like you said, they have famous parents there.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
Absolutely Jake and Maggie Jillenhall, their parents were both directors.
Each were nominated for an Oscar. Two kids nominated for
an Oscar.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Again, both parents were in the line of work, so
a lot of genetics working there.

Speaker 5 (09:18):
Tracy Ellis Ross, daughter of Diana Ross. Five Emmy nominations.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
Yes, in the sitcom category. Angelina Joe Lee probably one
of the more notable ones of this generation, daughter of
course of John Voight, who was an Oscar winner himself
and his daughter, Yea, is an Oscar winner, So that's
another one. Like you forget, like she's obviously very talented
and pretty too, so you can't really point and say, oh,

(09:43):
she did it because she was a Nepple kid.

Speaker 5 (09:45):
It's my point, you know, there's really no difference. Like
my uncle owned an autobody shop and my cousin took over,
and now.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Are example, you follow the footsteps exactly.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
If it's a family business. It's just an entertainment. You're
well known, so it's just looked at differently. But there's
no difference on taking over. I know people that have
taken over their dad's chiropractic businesses.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Same thing.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
Four.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Mario Lopez coming up Alo Mario Courtney Lopez got some
Fourth of July birthday shoutouts to squeeze and look at
that who's born in our country's holiday. Frazer gonna list,
hm off, I'm gonna try.

Speaker 6 (10:18):
To guess the United States of America two hundred and
fifty years old?

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Incorrect? Come on saying the.

Speaker 5 (10:24):
Age, Yes, two hundred and.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
But no I know it.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Hold on two hundred and fifty five, two hundred.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
And forty nine, I said, hold on, I was gonna
say forty nine. I knew what because there's no points
or anything.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Post that's crazy when you think about it, it's naughty.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
We're a baby. I was at a.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
Church in Mexico that was six hundred years old.

Speaker 6 (10:44):
Yeah, that is one of my friends, one of my
friends in England. The house he grew up in is
four hundred years old.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Look at that over twice the eight.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Yeah, it's nuts, isn't that crazy? Post Malone hard to
tell with the tattoos and stuff. But I think he's
only like thirty eight.

Speaker 5 (10:59):
Yeah he's he's younger than what he posts to be.
He's thirty six.

Speaker 6 (11:08):
He's thirty. Yeah post malhone is thirty years old.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Well he's always tired. Yeah that's true, That's what it
is true.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
Just look at his But yeah, damn.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
John Wait, big hit, missing You, great song, Lely.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
John Wait's got to be sixty one.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
No no, no, no, wait, he's sixty.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Three, seventy two. And Haroldo Rivera. Horolda looks good. I
think Coroaldo's like seventy eight eighty eighty two.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
Wow, that's amazing.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
He looks great.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Laura Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Yamaro Courtney Lopez. Then he of course is the fourth
of July. But that's not all.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
What else do we get to celebrate today?

Speaker 5 (11:51):
It is National Barbecue Day.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
It seems to go hand in handle Fourth of July
doesn't even need to be mentioned. I like when people
ask how they like their barbecue. Is it's going to
get cooked the same way for everyone anyway, Big barbecue
found huge in the home stretch, final hour for us.
But still lots to get to Mario Lopez. Here are
common of the week coming up in about thirty five
minutes or so. Also about to get into a fake

(12:15):
debate with Courtney and a lot of music. So if
you got a song you want to hear, drop it
in my mentions on Facebook or x AD on Mariley.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Not before the July You're on Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
Not for a weekly fake debate where the topics are
made up on the spot, but the passion's real. All right, Fraser,
who's going to be pro is going to be cut?

Speaker 6 (12:31):
You will be conn. Courtney will be pro. You have
fifteen seconds make your case, sin second, Robotto afterwards. Your
topic today is turning two hundred and forty nine years old.

Speaker 5 (12:40):
Who ever thought that we would turn two hundred and
forty nine years old. We are old, but we are
the youngest out of all the other countries that surround us,
and we will forever be the baby. And that's what
Cordo says.

Speaker 6 (12:58):
Ms.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Roll Apez.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
It's embarrass saying that we're only two hundred and fifty
years old. We have no culture, we have no history.
I've been to churches and houses that are older than
two hundred and fifty years old, and that's why there's
no respect. Americans wild out when they go to the
countries because they have Miss Lopez, I don't understand.

Speaker 5 (13:17):
All you guys want to do is go for younger women,
and now that the US is younger, you're putting us down.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
What two hundred and fifty years We've come a long way,
but we still got a long way to go.

Speaker 2 (13:33):

far twenty twenty five feels like being awake during surgery.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
Kind enough what script?

Speaker 5 (14:41):
And I can tell you from experience, because three times
I've been awake during surgery. CE sections are surgery, Yes
they are, and you're awake and there's nothing worse than
smelling burnt flesh and knowing what they're doing and you're.

Speaker 4 (14:56):
Just fully awake.
