a lot of fun in store for you today. Our
guest is Jesse McCartney, whose new music is a bit
of a throwback to the seventies.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
Well also learn a new life hack in Courtney's corner
and share your comments too. But I'm next to your
first look at Oscars night on Dancing with the Stars,
You're on with Mario and Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
It's Oscar's not on Dancing with the Stars. Are with
Mario Courtney Lopez. We're gonna be hearing songs from Top Gun,
Dirty Dancing, The Godfather in More.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
We're also getting a double elimination. Eric Roberts and Reginald
vel Johnson are on the hot seat. They had the
lowest scores last week. The best scores went to Disney
star Chandler Kinney and basketball player Dwight Howard.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Dwight Howard, so when I saw him dance, I popped
up on the feed because my dude's seven feet tall.
He looks crazy. It looks wild, like a praying mantis
like kind of I mean, I was very impressed for
such a big guy to be able to. It just
looks it looks a little different. It looks so awkward.
It looks a little he looks extended everything. It looks
(01:08):
like plastic plastic man. It's like Gumby if Gumby were dancing.
But hey, apparently he's killing. It's a good love to
con artist. She wanted everywhere she is gone it. She
wanted to be referred to as ankle bracelet model.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
More Mario Lopez on the.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Way You're a Mario Courtney Lopez. Let's take a look
at what's on TV today.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
Netflix debuts Allen's a final stand up special for your approval.
I really think she doesn't care about their approval. But
that's a good, good title, that's.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
True, and we'll see if it really is the final one.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Fox premiere is a murder in a small town. A
big city detective moves to a small coastal town that
he discovers has its own share of secrets.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Yeah, we interviewed one of the actors and I believe
it's a very small town and there's a murder every week.
So that's a lot of action. What right?
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Amazon has Evolution of the Black Quarter. Michael Vick travels
across the country to explore the history of African American
quarterbacks in football.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Michael Vick one of my all time favorite athletes, not
just quarterbacks because he and I don't watch that much
college football, but he really like was special when he
was at Virginia Tech and he didn't play for my team.
But whenever there's another athlete doesn't play for your team
and you make an appointment to want to watch them,
then you know it's something special. Mario Courtney Lopez, here
(02:30):
was some quick buzz for you. Doja Cat wants to
clear something up from the iHeartRadio Music Festival. The ring
that she flashed was not an engagement ring. It's her
David Yurman, no rocks in the band.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Well, lots of fans thought. Joseph Quinn from Stranger Things
pop the question. You can see what happened, plus all
the highlights from the festival over at Almathmarrio dot com.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Jo Mario Courtney Lopez Time Learning Live ac What is
the topic today in Courtney's corner? Apple watches.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
So there's a unique way to use them when you're driving,
So take the watch and strap it to your steering wheel.
Now you can open your maps app and it's better
in your line of sight. Or you can control your
podcast or music player without taking your hands off the wheel.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Oh very clever, Okay, little mc guy reaction there. Speaking
of watches, our son Dominic recently wore a calculator watch,
remember those, the old school calculator and at one watch, Yes,
I didn't know that was a thing. Where it came
back and I posted a pick of us when we
were always weaken, and a bunch of people pointed out,
I like your sound rocking the old school calculator watch.
(03:37):
Who got him that?
Speaker 3 (03:38):
I don't even know, to be honest, and I know
everything comes from what the kids have, and I have
no idea where that came from.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yeah, he saw it. He's at it, you know, the
old school with just like the go what do you
doing with that? Calculators? So funny.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
More Mario Lopez coming.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Up, Mario Courtney Lopez. Here we found something to celebrate
every single day. What is today's holiday? Honey?
Speaker 4 (04:02):
Today is national or Chata day?
Speaker 2 (04:05):
A national or chat that day? I love me some
more chat on case you are not familiar with it,
it's a very popular Mexican drink that's essentially rice water,
which doesn't sound too appealing, but it's really really tasty.
Mario Lopez here, my wife Courtney Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. Celebrating three
(04:25):
weeks at the top of the box office. It added
another twenty six million dollars, bringing its total to two
hundred and twenty five million domestically and three hundred and
thirty million globally. Look at that.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Wow, Well, Transformers one may twenty five million, but it
cost seventy five million to make, so.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
That's a pretty good indication. Then assuming by the time
they get through digital and all that, so we'll see,
they're gonna have to sell off Optimus Prime for parts.
All right, let's get back to music, y'all. Mario Courtney Lopez,
time for your comments. Would you find today?
Speaker 5 (04:57):
Honey?
Speaker 3 (04:57):
This is from at Aaron Martin, California, and they said,
forty years ago, Kids Incorporated premiered Mickey Mouse Club had
nothing on this.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Wow, Aaron Martin, you're really taking it back, my man.
And that's right. Forty years ago Kids Incorporated premier it
and if you're not familiar with it, it was basically
like a Mickey Mouse Club. But before Mickey Mouse Clubs
were cooler.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
I think they were incorporated.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
Ay.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
We were like a band who had like a little
residency at this restaurant called Moosey's and we would play
the top songs that were on the charts. It was
basically Kids Bop before Kids Bob.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
Correct.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
How we got the licensing and all that, I'll never know,
but it was basically different. Yeah, I guess they were,
but it was basically Kids Bob before Kids Bop because
there were songs that were hits currently on the radio
while we were shooting the show, which I thought was
really cool. So kids really liked it. But Martika Stacy
Ferguson was Fergie, Jennifer Love, Hewett, Rossan Patterson, myself. I
(05:57):
played the drums. What was your character's name? I was
just a Mario Mario. You were Mario and a bunch
of yourself back again, but it was yeah, forty years ago.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Wow, Moore, Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
You're on Mario Courtney Lopez trying to blow out the
candles on today's celebrity birthday. We're gonna try to guess
the ages quickly.

Forces and probably the winner of every future reality show

Speaker 6 (06:45):
Yeah, she's sixty two, sixty she looks fantastic. And from
Hercules Xena Warrior Princess. Kevin Sorbo, Kevin.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Is Sorbo fifty eight.
Speaker 2 (06:59):

who wrote the mega hit Bleeding Love for Leona Lewis.
It's Jesse McCartney.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
He's back on the road for a new tour.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Plus he's got some new music that has a bit
of a seventies vibe and we'll find out all about
that after a few more songs.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
It's up you all. Mario Lopez joining on zoom actor
and singer Jesse McCartney. Welcome to show man. How are
you going on, Mario? How you feeling man, I'm feeling well.
Thanks for asking. You're about to return to the road
for your All as Well's tour. Were you happy with
the first leg? We were very happy.
Speaker 5 (08:26):
Yeah, All's Well Part two kicks off October, and I
think it's just a result of how well the first
leg went. We were very surprised with the turnout and yeah,
so we added more dates. We had another twenty two
more shows around the country.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Congratulations, good for you. And do you do you do
like a band or you're most solo? You keep it
kind of low key. What's it look like? Yeah, it's
a full band.
Speaker 5 (08:50):
It's I have the same guys I've been playing with
for I don't know, ten fifteen years, some of them nice.
My drummer for sure, has been playing with me since
I was a kid.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
And yeah, so.
Speaker 5 (09:00):
It's a just a full there's four pieces, four piece
band including myself. I play keys, and we have drums, bass,
guitar and uh yeah, it's just a really high, high energy,
about ninety minute, two hour show and we play all
the all the old hits, all the oldies, all the
new ones.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
It's it's a lot of fun. Well. You can find
tickets and dates to the All's Well Tour at onmar
dot com. We're gonna take a little breathing. We'd have
more with.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Jesse McCartney or Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Mario Lopez here hanging out was a singer and songwriter
Jesse McCartney, who's out on the road right now with
the All's Well Tour. So does the set include any covers?
I always like when artists do covers I did a.
Speaker 5 (09:38):
Cover last in the spring. Actually, I just kind of
threw in an old cover of a of an extreme song,
you know, more than words.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
Yeah, yes, like classic Ye's great song love song. Did
you keep it? Did you keep it chill? Or did
you pep it up? I kept the chill. We did
an acoustic version.
Speaker 5 (09:53):
But to be ho, to be honest with you, I
think it was even too. It was like a little
bit before my audience because that song came out I
think in eighties.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Or early nineties, like ninety. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (10:02):
Anyway, some of them just like, I don't know if
they totally got it.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
Still a pretty song, it's a great song. They might
have thought it was a new jam.
Speaker 5 (10:09):
Probably right, probably right, like what is this genius beautiful ballad?
Speaker 2 (10:14):
No, it wasn't wasn't mine. Yeah, no, it is a
good song. Though I know you do a lot of
meat and greats on tour. What do you get to
ask the most? It's a good question usually it's like.
Speaker 5 (10:27):
Usually it's just like what do you do before a show?
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Or what did you eat tonight?
Speaker 5 (10:30):
Very like simple questions like in the moment questions, right
are you?
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Usually?
Speaker 5 (10:37):
I mean, my fans are just really nice people to
be honest with you, like, how are you feeling?
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Are you feeling better?
Speaker 5 (10:41):
I was sick on the last tour, so they were
all like concerned about my well being, which is very kind.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
That's nice. That is very nice. We can go to
Allmari dot com for Jesse's tickets and tour dates. All right,
let's play some more music now, Mario Lopez here. My
guest today is Jesse mccartny, who's on tour as we speak.
And the newest ep is All's well. Bit of a
seventies vibe right there. What inspired that project?
Speaker 5 (11:03):
I'd been listening to a lot of Paul and Oates
and d Barge and a lot of old school good taste. Yeah,
a lot of old school, you know, blue eyed soul
and just soul music from the sixties and seventies. And
I just got this new vinyl player and I got
hooked on vinyl over the pandemic and yeah, and I
think it just kind of came out of me, you know,
(11:24):
grew up listening to a lot of that with my parents,
and I wanted to sort of tip my hat to
that time in music, which I think is some of
the best best pop music ever. Made it was that era,
and so I got in a studio I worked with
some incredible musicians producer who really knew how to crystallize
this idea and bring some great players together in the
studio to play live.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
And so we recorded it at.
Speaker 5 (11:47):
An incredible recording studio in West La Area.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
And yeah, and it really came to life.
Speaker 5 (11:55):
I did three or four songs, and I think after
this tour, I'm going to try to finish the project
and make it a full length album.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
So good for you. And I know you dropped an
unplugged version of the song silver Spoon. You went acoustic
for that one.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
Huh, Yeah, we went acoustic.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
We dropped an acoustic version of that.
Speaker 5 (12:08):
I think we're going to drop another acoustic version either
this week or next week of one of the other songs.
You know, just kind of keeping the content coming, satiating
the audience with acoustics and different versions.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
I like it. Well, you can listen to all as
well on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you like to listen.
Hold on, Jesse, you got to keep the music on.
Yo on Mario Lopez. We're having things up with today's
guest Jesse McCartney and you're coming up on your third
wedding anniversary. Congratulations. No kids, all right, no kids, not yet,
any plans for it, but we're working on it, for sure.
(12:43):
We've both been.
Speaker 5 (12:44):
I've been incredibly busy, just touring and traveling so much.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
So a lot of.
Speaker 5 (12:47):
Times, it's a lot of times she comes on the
road because she's like, I'm flying out this week because
we got some work to do. Yeah, yeah, on the
family planning, on the family planning. But yeah, we're working
on it, and we're hoping maybe by next year is
the plan.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
So we'll see.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Good for you, man, Well, good luck. Listen. Go to
almar dot com for tickets and tour dates to the
All's Well tour. Jess, thanks for hanging out.
Speaker 5 (13:11):
It's great to see you always. Mario, thank you so
much for having me.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
You too, man, good luck on the tour. Thanks brother,
appreciate you.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Man. You're the full interview now at on with Mario
dot Com. More Mario Lopez on the Way.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Here was a quick buzz for you.
A couple. Congratulations are in order. Olivia Mohn has welcomed
her second child with John Mulaney.
Speaker 7 (13:30):
Congratulations, Ah and it's a girl, May June Mulaney who
was born via a surrogate.
Speaker 3 (13:37):
Meanwhile, Carly Ray Jepson has gotten engaged to record producer
Cole mgn. The two have been dating since November of
twenty twenty two.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Wow, Olivia Mon went back to back, Hi because the
baby's still very much a baby and Carl Ray jebson
that makes me feel old. Congratulations Mario Courtney Lopez. Here,
we got your first look at the next Marvel move.
It's called Thunderbolts. Julia Louis Drivius puts together a team
of villains including Florence Hugh and David Harber.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Who It looks like it's heavy on laughs and action
and hits theaters in May. But you can see the
trailer now at on with Mario dot Com.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
Jomar Courtney Lopez and Kristen Bell and Dak Shepherd are
not helicopter parents.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
On with Mario Lopez Hollywood.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
But so just took my boys to Disneyland, so I
have some opinions on this. But Kristin Bell and Dak
Shepherd say when they take their daughters to theme parks,
they let them roam around on their own. Now their
daughters are eleven and nine. Kristin says it's not a
vacation for parents when you're running around after your kids
all day. Uh ooh, that's interesting because eleven and nine
(14:47):
still pretty young to kind of. I feel for me,
it's all to eat your own and it would never
tell anyone how to parent, but eleven nine feels a
little I think once you hit teens, i'd feel a
little more comfortable. But maybe she's got incredibly mature kids.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
Yeah, I mean, look to each his own.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
I still have a hard time letting Gia do things
on her own, and she's fourteen. But that's just and
I'm not a helicopter mom, but I do worry about things.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
Sonny, I let him roam free.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Yeah, he's put an air tag on him. He's a
five year old. But at thet parks, I think there's
a ton of people, there's a ton of cameras. As
far as large crowded areas, pretty safe.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
More Mario Lopez coming.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Up, Mario Courtney Lopez. Here I heard Radio Music Festival
was so amazing, as expected, of course, how about when
the New Kids brought out Flave of Flave to cover Queen.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
Mercury labor Flave is just everywhere now.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
I mean he just.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
Works for us. He really are for our company. Now
he's a super nice guy. Did not expect that at all,
but that's what happens at the festival. You can see
all the highlights from the weekend at Allwinmario dot com.
Mario Courtney Lopez here. It's taken more than twenty years
to get a sequel to Gladiator. Didn't know he necessarily
needed it, being that Gladiator is such a classic. Anyway,
(16:09):
Ridley Scott is already thinking about a part three. He
says he's already come up with a few ideas for
the next movie, even though Part two doesn't come out
until November.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
The movie has a three hundred million dollar budget, so
the bar is already set pretty high.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Wow, the bar is high, and the budget is high.
I better deliver jo Mario Courtney Lopez. Time now for
one last thing. Noah Kahn had a number one hit
this year with Stick Season, and now he's getting his
own ice cream flavor. Ben and Jerry's has come out
with Northern Latitude, inspired by one of his songs. It
features maple latte ice cream and Graham Cracker cookie dough
(16:46):
and Graham Cracker pieces. Who that sounds actually kind of good.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
Well, anything with cookie dough, I'm down.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
Proceeds will go to Noah's nonprofit, the Busy Head Project,
which provides mental health resources. The flavor is available now
for a limited time and select Ben and Jerry.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
Good for him. I have to start branching out more
with my flavors. We have a great authentic ice cream
shop by our house I and they always have new flavors,
constantly new flavors, and I always always end up choosing
the same two. Hold On, I gotta start branching out.
Hold on, that's.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Rag with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
What are your top three? Well, these are my particular
Like I just I'm saying they're the best is of
my three. You do a good job, Honey, of mixing
it up and trying different ones.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
Not too many, not too many, But I will.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
My top three in no particular order.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
Thank you for that compliment.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Mint and chip Okay, people think it tastes like toothpaste.
I like it. Mint and chip disgusting.
Speaker 7 (17:44):
You're crazy any mint and chocolate, also coffee ice cream
or coffee and chip.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
I will take anything with a chip okay, and then
old school rocky road. There you go. Those are my
three go to, But really I go between the coffee
and the mint and chip. You get crazy with some
like cookie dope crap doesn't even look like it's frozen
and it's it's I don't know about you.
Speaker 7 (18:07):
Why you judge other people down over there about cookie?
Speaker 1 (18:11):
Yes, well, Mario Lopez will be right back.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
All right, we're out here, but we're back tomorrow with
actress Kensington Tomman from Inside Out.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
To plus a new case in Courtney's court. Until then,
this is Mario and Courtney Lopez saying good night
Speaker 1 (18:26):
With Mario Lopez
