Ed Kazukiwitz Zukowitz, Yes, Ed Kazukowitz. He is probably the
most experienced lifeguard in his New Jersey beach town. In fact,
he might be one of the most experienced lifeguards alive
today because he's been doing it since nineteen sixty one.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
He is eighty two years old.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
He says, the beach front's his office, and being a
lifeguard is about looking at the people in the water,
not the beach. And after sixty four years of guarding
and saving swimmers, he's not slowing down. He's still working
every song and in the fall, when lifeguarding is over,
he goes back to his other job, which is a
ski instructor.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
Kazuki Witz is my hero. I absolutely love this. By
the way, being me lifeguard is a tough job.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Yea.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
You've got to be in great shape, a lot of
skill involved. You got to have your cardio up. Good
for him.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
My guys hanging out of the beach all day then
in the slopes not bad at.
Speaker 2 (01:23):

The season premiere feature Zach Baggin's responding to an urgent
call in Las Vegas where a man believes his ex
wife is possessed by a demon and their daughter is
called in the crossfire.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
I've often thought that, I thought.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
There's probably a lot of husbands.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Maybe a lot of wives have thought that about their
husbands as well. I've had a lot of x's actually
possessed by demons. A good thing. I'm Catholic.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Rivers of Fate on Netflix. It's a limited series about
a teen who was kidnapped by a sex trafficking ring
in the Brazilian Amazon. A river pirate and a vengeful
mother each embark on separate quest to find her and
their past eventually cross and Hulu has the series premiere
of the Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, exploring the wrongful
conviction and subsequent legal battle of Amanda Knox for the
(02:44):
murder of a roommates Meredith Kircher in Italy.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
So there have been a few documentaries on this, but
this is a scripted version coming from Amanda herself. And
just for a weird twist, Monica Lewinsky is a producing partner.
Time to serve up some fresh justice, morri On Courtney Lopez,
You're all rise and welcome, Judge Courtney Cordo Lopez. It
(03:07):
is time for a Corto's port. Today's case comes from
that Tabitha Samthy. She says, I think my company's summer
intern hates me and is messing with me.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Every coffee order is correct, but mine.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Mine is always wrong, and she never makes any eye
contact and just stares at me. Want to ask her
a question? I mentioned it to my boss, who said,
stop acting like we're in high school. Now they're talking
about maybe hiring her part time in the fall.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
What do I do? Well, She's just Nabatha chill. What
do you need to do?
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Don't be threatened by an intern.
Speaker 6 (03:37):
She's an intern, so you gotta you know, reverse the
roles in or who is Bob? I'm showing fear? Yeah,
like just Tabitha. I'd be Tabitha.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Tabitha. You need Tabitha. We got to pick our battles, Sweeten.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Poor Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Music rolls on as I get ready to chat with
both Jessica Alba and Lizzie Mathis. Mario Lopez here just
kicked off a new season of their show, Honest Renovations,
and they joined us after the top of the hour
with the scoops. I don't move to borrow with Mario
Lopez joining me right now on Zoom.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
The stars of the show Honest Renovations actresses Jessica Alba
and Lizzie Mathis, How are you, ladies?
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Good? Great, Nice to see you. I saw y'all not
too long ago when you were when you were promoting
the show on on on my show Access. And I
love it that you all are friends.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
And the fact that you can do stuff together and
and and and also pursue a passion has got to
be like the coolest thing in the in the in
the world.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
This is season three.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
The name of the show, for those who may not
be familiar, is called Honest Reservations.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
It is out this week on the.
Speaker 7 (04:40):
Roku channel, Honest Renovation.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Did I say, did I say? Did I say? What
I say? Something reservations.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
He misspoke.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Yeah, did I say honest reservations? I was trying to
He's actually trying to lock down. He's reserving the time
to sit down and watch the show. Damn your kids.
All right, let me get this again. This is honest.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Renovations. Reservations were something going on in my mind. It's
on the Roku channel. How'd y'all get into the the
reno game here? Not the reservation game, the renovation game.
Speaker 8 (05:15):
I've always loved interior design, and since I was really young,
I was just always inspired by just making spaces beautiful.
And when during COVID, Lizzie and I we just renovated
and updated and made over many spaces from like we
sort of like created a content studio, so we had
(05:35):
to renovate that whole space, and then we did my parents' house,
two houses.
Speaker 7 (05:41):
For them, and we were, yeah, we were really.
Speaker 8 (05:44):
Inspired by just how dramatic a makeover or a renovation
can be, just with like paint and new furniture and
changing out the color palette and giving really functional organization,
organization and design. So we were like, gosh, this would
be cool to do a show where we could just
have fun hangout and like help people.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
And you're right, the examples you just gave don't really
cost a lot of money and they can make a
huge difference.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
And I'm sure.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
People are learning a lot, well a lot more to
talk about. So hang time, we're gonna have more with
Jessica and Lizzie coming up. Getting the scoop on the
new season of Honest Renovations from Jessica Album and Lizzie
mathis Mario Lopez here. So how do you find the
home projects for the series.
Speaker 9 (06:27):
Well, we cast the show, so we really like put
a lot of time into casting and making sure that
the families that we're choosing not only are really going
through transitions, but transitions that are relatable to a lot
of families. That's going to be a really big point
for us. And so once we lock that in, then
we're able to go and the first time we see
the house in live and in person is the same
(06:49):
of what you're seeing us see. So we're making decisions
and kind of like looking at it, you know, in real.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Time, real time on the show.
Speaker 8 (06:57):
So we make sure that we cast the families. I
mean that I would say that's probably the biggest part
and probably the biggest differentiator in our show as a
renovation show versus others is we really make it about
the families and you really feel connected to their stories
and so it's heartwarming, it's tender. But then you have
the comedy of just Lizzie and I. We crack on
(07:17):
each other, we're real friends, we have a good time,
we're silly, and so you get the mix of that.
Speaker 6 (07:24):
In the show.
Speaker 8 (07:25):
And then of course a really satisfying before and after.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
That's fun. What a fun show?
Speaker 4 (07:29):
And when do you make the reservations?
Speaker 2 (07:31):
That's later after we wrapped the show, have a couple
of margarita. Yes, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
All right, hey, ty, quick break and we're going to
come back with some more Jessica and Lizzie.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Oh, Mario Lopez.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
Catch up with Jessica album and Lizzie mathis from Roku's
Honest Renovations This Hour, new season now streaming.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
And when it comes to these projects, do you have.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
A favorite part of the house to u to renovate?
Speaker 2 (07:58):
Is it always the kitchen or I love kitchens for
me the kitchen too, because I'd just be kicking in
the kitchen all day.
Speaker 9 (08:06):
I know, the kitchen for me is always the heart
of the home, but it's also like where I find
my piece in my column. So I'm like, if I
can give that to somebody else, I'm all about renovating
that kitchen.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Yeah, I love the kids rooms.
Speaker 8 (08:17):
Those are my favorites, just because you know, like you're
really kind of bringing a fantasy to life. Yeah, and
it's really fun because we could dream a little bit more.
We can do take a little bit more risks with kids.
Speaker 9 (08:30):
We have a lot of fun with the kids.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Yeah, it's more whimsy. Yeah, imagine it too. Sure you
can personalize it and all that. Yeah, I know that
is fun.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
All right, hay tike a few more songs and we're
going to come back with Jessica and Lizzie. Getting back
to Jessica Alba and Lizzie Mathis Romroku's Honest Renovations.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
You're on with Mario Lopez and how'd y'all meet again?
Speaker 7 (08:48):
Originally our kids preschool school, Well, I don't think were sorry, wow,
our kids pre school, we were like mom friends, Wow
in the k your whole now.
Speaker 8 (09:01):
Thirteen thirteen and fourteen, Heaven's about to be fourteen.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Fourteen, but you're old. You have an older one right too. Seventeen, yeah, seventeen.
See my oldest about to turn fifteen. We're about to
have this big king signa and it's like, wow, this
last year, Oh my god, the Kings is going to
be next excited. I know. I'm making her do a
dance with me. She got like all these dances with
their friends, and it's like a recital.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
I'm like, yo, we got it at least like one
slow dance with your dad. And she says, all right,
if we're gonna do a slow dance, we're gonna do
half slow dance and then it's gonna transition to Chris Brown.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
We can do something fast. And I said, all right,
so she's got it.
Speaker 7 (09:36):
I've seen you on TikTok.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
You can't wait to dance? Well, I said, all right,
just come with the good COREO. What you mean I
can't wait to dance? Thanks?
Speaker 1 (09:47):
All right?
Speaker 2 (09:47):
More Jessica and Lizzie coming up first.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
More music.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Al Mario Lopez got Jessica album, Lizzie Mathis and Roku's
Honest Renovations on Zoom with Us, and Jessica you got
a new movie. On the way as well, called the
Azarati the brothers about I'm assuming the brothers that created
the car brand, right, Yeah.
Speaker 8 (10:05):
It's like the inspired by the original story and yeah
it's with Anthony Hawkins and and Cigarcia and al Pacino
and me. So we're the Americans that are in with
the like seven incredible up and coming Italian actors.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
Oh that's awesome, what a cast. I'm definitely gonna check
that out. And Lizzie, I saw on your ig you're
quite the chef. The recipes look pretty pretty amazing.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Next level there is that something you want to really
lean into. Could we see some sort of cooking show
maybe later?
Speaker 9 (10:35):
I think you're definitely.
Speaker 6 (10:36):
Gonna see more cooking in the future.
Speaker 9 (10:38):
All right, all right, I mean it's always been a
passion of mine to like get in the kitchen cook,
and so now it's kind of fun because I'm able
to all the recipes I was raised with. I'm able
to like now show them and obviously I do them
for my kids and tweak them and like freak them out.
So it's cool.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
I've been getting down in the kitchen lately too. I'm
very probably going to cut together there Mari down to cook.
We gotta make reservations, we got to renovation. I could
do all the above. All right, I got one more
thing I want to ask I tie quick break when
we come back and wrap it up.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
You're the full interview now on with Mario dug More,
Mario Lopez on.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
The way, wrapping up with Jessica Alba and Lizzie Mathis.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
You're on with Mario Lopez. Right, ladies, I have just
one last question. I wanted you to help me with
a bit of advice. Tell me if I'm wrong. My daughter,
who's just about to turn fifteen, speaking of Chris Brown,
wants to go to his concert. I love me some
Chris Brown, but it seems still a little too racy
for her. Do I let her go without me?
Speaker 7 (11:33):
No? No?
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Okay good, That's what I thought. Okay good, Because she's
like chat GPT all these speeches that she's giving me
why she could should go. I love that though. I
love the dedication to the debate.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
She is like the fairest bueler of that family.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
Yeah, she's really like next level? What'd you say? I'm sorry,
we can send a security guard with her.
Speaker 7 (11:52):
You're like great? Then, also, send a security guard with you.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
It's me, and they're more scared of the security guard.
Speaker 9 (11:57):
So you know, with your guns.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Mario trying to go, but she's not trying to hang
with dad, right, she wants to turn up.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
You know.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
I love you want to go though.
Speaker 4 (12:07):
Because Mario just wants to He just wants to go
to the show.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
All right.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
See, I can let her go to herself.
Speaker 8 (12:13):
It's not you doesn't want to go to like Olivia Rodrigo.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
That's funny because Olivia Rodrigo. I took her a few
years ago. That was actually her very first concert. I'm like, yo,
don't you want to see like the Descendants.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
I'll let you go, Dad, Chris bro Yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
No, no, no, no, no, Chris Bron Okay, good. I'm glad
you all agreed with me. Well, ladies, congratulations. I hope
to see you in person soon. And everyone, please be
sure to check out season three of Jessica and Lizzie's
home renovation show Honest Renovation, streaming right now on the
Roku channel.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
Thanks for checking in you, Mario Lopez. Here was some
quick food buzz.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
Great news. If you love all avocado's like me. A
recent study found that people who ate an avocado a day,
started sleeping better overtime. Turns out avocados are loaded with
tripp to fan flow, late and magnesium, all the good
stuff your body uses to make melowtonin and chill out
those muscles before bed.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
So maybe a little guawk before bed. I like that move.
All right, Let's get back to the music. Maybequak in bed? Yeah,
oh no, they can't beat messy Amar Courtney Lopo. Is
time for today celebrity birthdays. Fraser's got the list. We're
going to guess the ages. Who's up? Demi Levato?
Speaker 3 (13:34):
Demi Lavato is coming in at thirty one?
Speaker 6 (13:39):
Do they ever call Hervatovato?
Speaker 2 (13:42):
They call her Lovato?
Speaker 6 (13:46):
Demi is thirty three.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
She is thirty three. Wow.
Speaker 5 (13:50):
New face.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
Andrew Garfield from The Amazing Spider Man.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Fuck Wig fick Wig.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
He does Yeah.
Speaker 6 (13:58):
Andrew Garfield.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Is forty No, Andrew Garfield's coming in forty seven, forty two.
Speaker 4 (14:07):
Amy Adams from American Hustle.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Amy Adams is hitting the fifth level fifty forty nine
fifty one from Limp Biscuit, Nichol's favorite artist, Fred Durst.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Fred Durst's Boy, Limp Biscuit Fred is coming in at
sixty's hitting.
Speaker 6 (14:25):
The sixth level sixty, No, can't.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
Be fifty eight fifty four ooh.
Speaker 4 (14:30):
And finally from the Today Show, Al Roker Al Roker, America's.
Speaker 6 (14:36):
Weather man is seventy four.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
I'm gonna say Al's hitting the seventh level seven seventy
one four.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Do you get a haircut anxiety? What a Mario Lopez here?
Apparently one in five men do, at least according to
a new poll. Those who get haircut anxieties say they
feel nervous asking their stylist for barber for a new hairstyle.
I can't believe I'm even saying it's been afraid to
ask for specific haircuts.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
In the past, even when they really wanted it. Do
they think the barber's just gonna ah start laughing at.
Speaker 10 (15:08):
It's not the barber's choice, it's your hair so and
the barber wants to mix it up, Yeah, probably he'd
be happy. The study also found the average guy gets
their haircut ten times per year and had the same
hairstyle for seven years.
Speaker 7 (15:22):
Now.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
When I was younger, I used to mix it up
all the time. Now that I'm older, you know, you
get older, you a little more conservative. I keep it
pretty pretty consistent. When I was telling my height grows, yeah, subtly, subtly.
I've made little changes, maybe a little higher, sometimes it'll
get a little long in the back, but it's pretty consistently,
pretty consistent. So I was telling my son about his
alpaca do that he's got to mix up and come on,
(15:45):
it's time to let that go. He goes, Dad, you've
had the same hairstyle for thirty years? What do you
know about him? I'm like, whoa that hurt thirty? It
hasn't been thirty, has it?
Speaker 2 (15:53):
I don't think so? But wait, I go, I can't
be mixing it up in my age, Nico, Yeah, I
look ridiculous.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
In fifty two if you like suddenly show like when
we see those stories, just like check out George Clooney's
hair transformation.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
You're like a little sad bro. No, No, you got
at that point right, Yes, yes, you gotta say forty.
I'd say, you gotta say, I know that, Uh, you've
had the same hairstop for thirty years. What do you do?
Speaker 4 (16:14):
I know that Sonny doesn't get hair haircut anxiety, but
does he still get haircut anger.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
No, he loves it now, Okay. When I tell him
it's not for haircut, He's like, oh, good about.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
Time that Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
Oh, Mario Courtney Lopez and what is today's obscure holiday?
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Honey?
Speaker 5 (16:30):
It is something for all of us National Radio Day.
Speaker 6 (16:35):
Congratulations Lopez on the radio.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
Well you don't know that song on the radio? Yeah,
Donna summer, come on.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
Oh we should do a name that tune with like
uh songs radio that have radio in them. But who
knows when we'll do it, so you can't prepare.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
Not necessarily in the title, just it's mentioned. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
that's a good one. That's a good one.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
All right, a few more songs. I'm gonna dig into
our mentions.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
Mario Lopez here love hearing from your questions, comments, random.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
Thoughts, whatever you got.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
Hit us up at All with Mario on Facebook and
x at all with Mario Lopez on IG back to
see what's on your mind next, al Mari Lopez, time
to dig into our mentions to see what's on your mind?
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Would you find phrase?
Speaker 4 (17:16):
This is from alex Ables. Maybe I'm alone, but this
Levita is getting a little too Loca.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
If you ask me, you know.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
What, Alex ables this Levita this year has been getting
a little local for me as well.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
I feel you. It's we're only halfway through it. Yeah,
we're already halfway through.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
I'm just talking about stuff that I've had to deal
with that I've never had to deal with before.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
Personal stuff, not too crazy, but just more annoying. So
I feel you, Alex, I feel you. Hopefully you'll be
ables to get through it.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
More. Mario Lopez coming.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
Up this September. It's all going down in Vegas and
you could be there.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
What up?
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Mario Courtney Lopez here or iHeartRadio Music Festival presented by
Capitol One is back September nineteenth and twenty if at
the T Mobile Arena in Vegas, two nights, one stage
in an incredible lineup.
Speaker 5 (18:05):
Moon five, At Sheer and Brian Adams, Mariah Carey, so
many more. But the best part, while the world is
listening on iHeartRadio, you could be there seeing it all
live in person. iHeartRadio is giving you three chances every
weekday to win a trip for two plus one thousand
dollars spending money on with Mario dot Com slash festival
to find out more.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
You're all Mario Lopez music rolls on as Fraser tries
to make it weird with a random thought, what you got?
Speaker 4 (18:32):
You know, if you step on someone's foot, they'll typically
open their mouths, just like a trash can.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
I wouldn't try to drop anything in it though, No, no, no,
I wouldn't do that. That would be frowned upon. Unless it's
one of your kids. Then you can put candy and
what have you.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Toby al Mario Courtney Lopez. Time for one last thing.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
This past Friday night, we got to take part of
the twenty fifth annual Pump Foundation, which is a great
organization benefiting cancer victim. Their whole anthem is fighting cancer,
and boy did they have a lot of great stars
show up, especially in the athletic field.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
I was like a little kid hanging out with Barry.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Bonds and Ray Lewis and Sammy Sosa was there, Sugar
Ray Leonard, the Liscos on and on.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
Robin Thick performed did He Call You Rio?
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Rio?
Speaker 3 (19:22):
I didn't actually get to chat with him, but I
did with a lot of the other athletes. Wayne Gretzky
who was at our table, and these guys do some
great work and raise a lot of money, obviously for
a great cause.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
And it was quite the party, right, honey.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
It was just it was incredible because meeting Barry Bonds,
I remember him as a little girl being on the Pirates,
and you know, it's just those things that take you
back and you're like, wow, I'm actually hugging him now,
and then seeing you like a little kid in a
candy store, which.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
I do regret one thing.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
When I saw Johnny Gil, I should have hit him
