Eight months ago, Olivia Rodrigo was only playing theaters. Well now,
she just wrapped up her Giant Guts Arena tour, which
made nearly one hundred and eighty five million dollars. One

her very first live performance when she performed at the
iHeartRadio Festival Village.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
That is correct, that Antime village.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
And I remember she was so nervous and her people
were saying she was so nervous, and then I slowly
saw her get comfortable a couple songs in and look
at her.

He's sort of He's playing this.

Speaker 6 (04:56):
Director who's tried to do an indie film to make
a big splash in town, and uh, he's kind of
Michael Scott meets David Brant, meets every directory you've ever worked.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
With who wanted to knock somebody over to get famous
that it's really funny. He's great.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
That's a funny log line right there. How is your
character mixed up in all this?

Speaker 5 (05:16):
I play his mother in law.

Speaker 6 (05:20):
Me and Matt McCoy plays in laws and we're not
happy with what's going on.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
It's kind of a bummer.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Did the field it is?

Speaker 5 (05:27):
Yeah? But I'll tell you there's so many great people
in this movie.

Speaker 6 (05:31):
Bobby Morning Hands in it, and actually Hal Lindon, who
was the original Barney Miller from.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
Like the seventies. Yeah, he's so old that he's so great.
He plays this guy's agent and he's brilliant.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
How was old and Barney Miller? How old is it?
What is.

super independent movie producer so did the film cause any
any flashbacks to any real productions that you may have
been a part of.

Speaker 5 (06:20):
Totally.

Speaker 6 (06:21):
My whole thing is if you if you do it
any film and you are not willing to take out
the trash, don't do it.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
Don't do it. You gotta be willing to do anything.

Speaker 6 (06:28):
So yeah, there's always like a little bit like a eh.
But you said, I only say yes because I know.

Speaker 5 (06:33):
That's the case.

Speaker 6 (06:34):
I don't have any false expectations because I'm old and
I've been in this business forever.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Mario, you know.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
It keeps you, it keeps you sharp, and it keeps
you humble. Well, the movie is micro budget. Hankti, Kate,
I gotta place more music, Mario Lopez. You're got Kate
Flannery on zoom with me from the new movie micro Budget,
and also in the works a comedy called Terms and Conditions. Well,
can you tease us about that?

Speaker 6 (06:57):
I have no recollection of doing this project. I have
to tell you this. I'm going to be really honest
with you.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Are you that busy? You don't even know?

Speaker 6 (07:09):
I'm being really honest and bolt for the blue Terms
of Conditions, it must have changed names, and I don't
I mean, I just shot something in albert I'm like,
I'm literally, no one's working for some reason. I'm working
right now. I don't and I don't even know what
I'm saying. Yes, Mario, please forgive me.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
No, that's what? What about Miss Valentine? Do you know?
Do you know about that one?

Speaker 5 (07:27):
But I'm not sure when that's coming out. I just
did some photoprop of that. It's so funny. I actually
in Winchester, Virginia.

Speaker 6 (07:35):
I went to school at Shenandoah University for two years
in Northern Virginia, and I'm a Philly girl. I was
totally culture shocked. I went for two years. I had
a great experience. I learned a lot, but I was like,
I gotta be in a city. So I actually transferred
out to university or to Philadelphia and graduating from there.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
But they had me back for this. They do this
big Apple.

Speaker 6 (07:55):
Blossom festival, and literally I had booked the movie separately
and they both things coincided at the same weekend.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
It was crazy.

Speaker 6 (08:04):
So me and Pete Gardner, who's to be on a
crazy ex girlfriend. He's a really funny guy. I've known
forever from Chicago days. He's hilarious. We play reporters in
Miss Valentine's Day. It's pretty fun.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
Oh, it's cool and I'm looking forward to seeing that. Well,
we got to get to the music. Kids, I ain't tight.
You're all Maria Lopez. My guest today is Kate Flannery
and Christmas, of course is around the corner. Are you
going to be performing with Jane Lynch again?

Speaker 6 (08:27):
I am Jane Linch and I are hitting the road
starting the day after Thanksgiving. We're doing like twenty five shows.
We start on the East Coast. We're in the middle.
We're doing like eight shows at Steppenwolf in Chicago. Yeah,
unless I misbehaved, and maybe it's only going to be
six shows, we'll see it might just be Jane by yourself.

Speaker 5 (08:48):
I'm just kidding. No, it's gonna be awesome. We have
a great band.

Speaker 6 (08:51):
And if you can't come see us live, you can
get our Christmas album.

Speaker 5 (08:55):

and Amazon.

and the music you'll hear us like what, it's crazy.

Speaker 5 (09:06):
It's a really fun album.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
That's fun. Well, I got one more thing I want
to ask, but we've got to take another break. I'm
gonna wrap it up with Kate Flannery in just a moment.

Speaker 1 (09:12):

dot Com. More Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Mario Lopez, you're rapping things up with Kate Flannery. And

Speaker 6 (09:23):
I was there for the first night. Yes, I'm rooting
for Daniella and Dwight Howard. There's a video online. You
have to find it. It's Daniella Kara. Go look at
Dwight Howard's page. She's literally dressed like a basketball. She's
just an orange and she's jumping up and down. You realize,
oh my god, she is the basketball. He's like, she's

(09:45):
a genius.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Well, he's twelve feet tall, so it makes a lot
of sense that she would be of aske on. That's
so funny. Meanwhile, we're going to be checking out micro budget.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
Doing something a little different when her memoir drops later
this month. For the audio book, she's teamed up with
the actress who played her on Broadway. Share is going
to set the scene with each chapter, and Stephanie Block
will act out the stories. Okay. She chose his approach
because she suffers from dyslexia and knew she couldn't read
a traditional audiobook. That you can look for Share the

Speaker 4 (10:57):
Is from att Eddie, texmex You can tell this Alita

the kitchen. Martha Stewart dresses like an office manager.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
Yeah, so I posted this headline. I saw that there's this,
this this sweet looking little old lady that lives in Mexico,
who evidently has millions of more views and subscribers to
her YouTube channel than even Martha Stewart. She's supposed to
be this incredible cook and just charming and sweet, and

(11:26):
she's like in her little Humble House and cooking these
amazing recipes, and she's like, this global sensation.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
You probably need to do a food review there.

review there. And I got to get some of those
recipes because I'm sure they're fire.

Speaker 3 (11:40):

the college admission scandal. She'll be playing a police lieutenant
in the new Dick Wolf series On Call.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
It is Wolf's first series for a streaming service. He
also created, of course, Law and Order Chicago and FBI franchises.
You can look for On Call in January on Amazon Prime.

Dick Wolf to welcome her back in such a big

Mario Lopez and Sidney Sweeney steps into the Hollywood Buzz.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
On with Mario Lopez Hollywood Buzz.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Sidney Sweeney's paychecks prove she is quickly moving into the
A list. I'd say she's pretty much there. Over the
past here her rates of skyrocketed. She went from earning
sixty five thousand for the biopic Reality in twenty twenty
three to making seven hundred and fifty thousand for the
superhero movie Madam Webb. Then came her rom com break
through Anyone but You, where she earned two million, and

(13:31):
now she's joining an Amanda Seifert thriller called The Housemaid
where she's gonna be making seven and a half million.
She's now behind Zendia as the highest paid actress of
her generation.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
That's like over ten million dollars.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Good for her. She paid her dues and she's really
good in all her stuff. Your Fouriel White Lotus. She's
playing a boxer. Oh coming up, okay, Christy Martin in
a biopic, so we're going to see her dress down.
Nice Sidney or Mariopez.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
Coming up, Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
And there's something to celebrate every single day. Today is
National Easy Bake Oven Day. You know, I remember who
was it. My sister had one of these.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
It had to be you.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
You really are cousin or somebody, and you can really
make muffins and they actually taste pretty good.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
Really, yeah, you really didn't know. You actually make edibles.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Real food and it tastes pretty I couldn't believe it.
I was surprised because there's.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
No excuse for the kids to make their own lunch.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Yes, Mario Lopez here with details of the next nineties reboot.
This time it's the Sylvester Stallone movie Cliffhanger. I love
this movie. This is an underrated Stallone movie. Ooh Slide
was actually supposed to be involved, but he's now out instead.
It's gonna start Lily James from Bridgerton and Pierce Brosnan.

(14:48):
The original came out back in ninety three. It was
written by Stallone. I didn't know he wrote it. Wow,
he's so talented. It's about a mount climber who gets
mixed up in a plane heist and had really cool
footage of him climbing, and obviously professional climbers and all that.
It was the seventh biggest movie at the box office
that year. You're a Mario Lopez Stop and after one

(15:10):
last thing, police are on the hunt for three hundred
and ninety thousand dollars worth of stolen cheese. Apparently a
guy in London posed as a legitimate cheese buyer in
a career that is a career. There's chea cheese gets
pricey like wine.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
Oh yeah, no, I know.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
And you made off with twenty two tons of cheddar
what it's enough to disrupt the cheese supply of twenty country.
I'm curious how he's gonna go forward with this. It's
going to go online.

Speaker 4 (15:42):
I think you gotta sell it on the black market.
Is there a black market for the blue market.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Here's the thing about cheese too. Also, like wine doesn't
really go bad, you can had cheese for a long time.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
Yeah, some cheese's age even, like for one hundred years,
and it's like the best thing ever.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Right, I want to see a documentary on this, or
Mario Lopez coming up all right, time for me to
pass the mic when the music continues all night. I
will be back tomorrow to learn a new life hacking
Courtney's corner. Until then, Mario Lopez saying good night.
