Speaker 2 (03:32):
Coming up music rolls on. Mario Courtney Lopez here with
a quick reminder that we're giving away trips to Vegas

Speaker 4 (03:43):
But you need the keyword.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
The next one comes tomorrow at nine am, so be
sure you're tuned in and hit up on with Mario
dot com to find out more.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Let's get back to music. Mario Courtney Lopez. Here was
some quick buzz for you. Multiple arrests have been made
in the death of Matthew Perry. Authorities have charged personal assistant, doctors,
and others with crimes, including conspiracy to distribute ketamine in
the death of the former Friends star Wow. I did
not see this coming. I just assumed if the individual
(04:14):
took the narcotic it was pretty much on them. But
then again, Michael Jackson's doctor also got charged in convicted.
Olinwire dot com to find out more. By the way,
Matthew Perry would have been fifty five olivarre Courtney Lopez
and wasted no time as we get to Courtney's random question,
all right, what you got on?
Speaker 5 (04:35):
All right?
Speaker 3 (04:35):
If you could be any dinosaur, what dinosaur would you
be and what would your name be? Fun fact, really quick,
they just discovered a brand new dinosaur.
Speaker 4 (04:44):
I saw it on the news.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Yeah, that happens every so often. They're discovering new dinosaurs. Yeah,
or so they say. They're always discovering creatures that come
from the ocean. Some one just breached when we had
the earthquake out here in La not too long ago
and someone broke free. Well, no, what happens was because
they're so deep. Yeah, some of these creatures reside in
the bottom of the ocean and with the earthquake there,
(05:06):
I don't know if it kills them or what happened.
So it went to the top of the surface, and
it looked like something prehistoric. There are some beach no
beach whale. It looked like it looked like a salamander,
but Jurassic Park style.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
So it is.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Well, so I still think there are dinosaurs out there.
To answer your question, you gotta go t Rex, even
though they have little arms. You gotta go t Rex.
And I'd be like t Homie.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
More Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
On the way Yo, al Mario Courtney Lopez got Kristen
Bell Zuman in next hour. So I think we're gonna
go ahead and squeeze in some of your questions and comments.
We love hearing from you at Ola, Mario on x
at Al, and Mario Lopez on ig. What'd you find
to day, honey?
Speaker 3 (05:42):
This is from at Suckscess and they said, the important
thing to remember is that you may have lost the
wig war to your son Dominic, but you get to
fight a whole new battle with lessons learned.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
When Santino gets a little older, good luck and good hair.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Yeah, sucks, sess. The thing is, Santino also has a
great wig. Both my boys are blessed with some really
good wigs that are going to be intact. I don't
see them going bald any time soon in the future.
Speaker 5 (06:13):
Have you already gone to battle with Sonny though over
his hair? Like, physically no, he's pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
But haircuts, well now he's better.
Speaker 5 (06:21):
He's gotten better.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Great with the haircuts. He just likes to comb his
hair when he gets out of the shower before he
goes to bed, which is weird. But during the day
he won't let me.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Do it for school. It's the weirdest thing. We're gonna
do it.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
We're going to do it for oh no, for real school.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
Yeah more.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Mario Lopez coming up, Mario Courtney Lopez here. Kristen Bell
and Christian Campbell are going to be zooming in after
the top of the hour, both starting in Reefer Madness
the Musical, which just got extended back to get the
scoop in ten. Hang tight, it's upro ab Mario Lopez
(07:02):
joining me now on zoom from ree for Madness the Musical.
Kristen Bell and Christian Campbell. Welcome to the show. Thank you, thanks, congratulations.
I was fortunate enough to be there. I believe it
was opening night here in La So much fun. I
love the show. You did a great job. Love the
(07:22):
goodie bags at the end. That was a lot of fun.
So congratulations, and it's been extended now due to popular demand.
Were you were you surprised that it connected with audiences?
What I did?
Speaker 6 (07:34):
I don't think so. I mean, I don't mean that
to sound arrogant. I had certainly hoped it would connect
with audiences. This show brought Christian and I together twenty
five years ago. And I don't want to speak for you, Christian,
but it certainly was the wildest, wackiest, funniest show. I've
ever been a part of. But it also kind of
had this very important messaging because the whole show is
(07:58):
a satirical play old government propaganda, right and misinformation. And
it's like when Christian came to me six months ago
or a year ago and said, like, I think we
should do Reefer Madness again. I feel like it's important.
I was like, yes, what if people want to see
this right now? And thankfully they do because we just
extended till September fifteenth.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
That's awesome, all right, guys, Well, hey ty quick break,
We're gonna come back with Kristen Bell and Christian Campbell
getting the scoop on Reefer Madness the musical from Kristen
Bell and Christian Campbell Mario Lopez here. And obviously attitudes
have changed a lot in the past twenty five years
when it first came out. Even prior to that, I
would say, does the revival put it in a different context?
(08:40):
Can you kind of look at it now and sort
of sort of laughing, like, oh my gosh, I can't
believe these thoughts were actually pretty validated back then.
Speaker 7 (08:48):
Well, I think that was actually what happened back even
in nineteen ninety nine, when it was done, and also
in two thousand and one when Kyble and I did
it in New York, people were already laughing at it
back then in that way, or at least the audience,
they understood what was going on. Legalization was starting to
happen with Washington State, California. People can see what was
going on. But the show really isn't about cannabis. Like
(09:12):
Kabel was saying, this is about propaganda. It's about misinformation.
It's about how usually there's a group of people who
will tell you that they're going to come and save
your children. The original read for Madness back in nineteen
thirty six, the original title was tell your children, And
that's an old trope that's been used by propagandas forever,
is that we're going we are the only people that
can save your children. Therefore, you must believe us when
(09:33):
we tell you what you need to do. And that's
what this show is really about, is beware of the
aware of that messaging. But of course in a funny way.
And so yeah, the show has become a lot more
sadly relevant these days. So I think we've given we're
providing a nice opportunity for people to laugh at our
(09:53):
current circumstances.
Speaker 6 (09:55):
But that's what's so cool about that, right, is that
you point out your blunder or the sort of mistakes
that the community might be making. It just it points
things out, and I think it's a really cool way
to show people, you know, those ideas through the weird musical. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Absolutely, that's what's art is supposed to do, or should
do as a matter of fact. All Right, Still lots
to get to with Kristen Bell and Christian Campbell. But first,
more music coming out.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
For Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
Mario Lopez here hanging out with Kristen Bell and Christian
Campbell talking ree for Madness the musical and what's the
future of the production. Could it have a run somewhere else?
Speaker 6 (10:35):
Yes, it depends on what the people want, Mario.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
I mean, we've been really.
Speaker 6 (10:40):
Happy with being here in Hollywood. I think one thing
Christian and I talked about when bringing this production here
was like, are like we were desperate to have theater
or art experiences in Hollywood, and for some reason, people
don't think they exist. You go to New York, you
always book shows to see, but you come to LA
and maybe you think it's just the beach, but there
(11:01):
are so many good theater experiences in Hollywood and we
wanted to be one of them that brought people in.
And in addition to that, the venue that we have
is like creating a community through art because there's a
restaurant open beforehand where you can have dinner with your friends.
It's like a one stop shop for a night out
(11:23):
in Hollywood, which, if you've ever had a night out
in Hollywood, is very difficult, particularly with parking. But you
can come and see a show. Our shows only an
hour and a half and then you can stay with
your friends and hang and have community because it actually
turns into like a speakeasy afterwards with live music, and
it's really quite lovely on this strip of Hollywood that
(11:46):
people just you know, don't necessarily know is there.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
You're absolutely right. I had such a great time and
for all those reasons too, And it was a cool venue.
It was a lot of fun. I ate I drank
well deal all right. Kristin Valley Christin Campbell are with
us on Zoom Little Music, and we're going to come
back and talk some more. Mario Lopez here with Kristen
Bell and Christian Campbell talking read for Madness the Musical,
and my buddy Spencer Lyft too, who I was very
(12:10):
proud of him, did a great job with choreography and
jo acting. And funny that you say that, Kristin about
theater in Hollywood, because I had seen another play that
he had directed, Dragged the Musical in another fun venue.
I don't know if you both got the opportunity to
see that, but that was a lot of fun and
really good too. So yes, I'm hoping being a former
musical theater kid myself, I'm hoping there's more of that.
Speaker 6 (12:32):
And Spencer did a wild job at this particular production
because he chose to make it kind of immersive, which
separates it from a lot of other types of theater,
certainly New York. You know, if New York is like
Upper east Side Theater, this is like Lower east Side
Theater and the very immersive it happens all around you,
(12:52):
which is very unique. But Spencer did such a great job.
We were certainly excited because the reviews have kind of
blown us all away. We knew the cast was great,
but between Spencer and the cast, the reviews that are
being written about the show are incredible. And saying that
it's like Broadway level performances right here in Hollywood. So
we're very very happy.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Yeah, No, he's very ton That's great, that's awesome. We're
I have more music than We're gonna come back with
Christen Bell and Christian Campbell. You're all Mario Lopez talking
Reefer Madness the Musical with Kristin Bell and Christian Campbell
this hour and really quick. Also in the works kristin
a Netflix show called Nobody Wants This? Is there anything
you can tell us about.
Speaker 6 (13:31):
Regarding that, I don't know what I can tip. Yeah,
I can tell you. It's me and the lovely Adam Brody.
So I'm really hoping that Veronicamar's OC fans will finally
be satisfied with this crossover, even though we are a
little bit older. Yeah, it's basically a rom com about
(13:54):
a sort of wild girl who falls in love with
a rabbi.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Oh funny, Okay, I'm already loving all right, Well, look
forward to checking that out. I got one more thing
I want to ask, but we've got to take a break.
We're gonna come back and wrap it up with Kristen
Bell and Christian Campbell.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
Next We're the full interview now and on with Mario
Dunc More Mario Lopez on the way.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
Mario Lopez here rapping things of with today's guest Kristen
Bell and Christian Campbell. And it's back to school time.
Are your daughters back in school yet or are they
coming up this next week?
Speaker 6 (14:26):
Not yet this week? This week, So lots lots of
nerves this week. And I know Christian's daughter just went
back as well, and she, from what he said, aced
it so thasal.
Speaker 7 (14:36):
I mean, it's la. We live in the East Coast,
and so she's now going to a California school. She
doesn't understand this concept of open air hallways and stuff
like that. It's all very weird to her.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
How old is your is your daughter? Christian?
Speaker 7 (14:47):
She's going she just went into kindergarten five years old?
Speaker 2 (14:49):

A Mario Courtney Lopez. Time for a new game that
we're calling Mono tune. All right, Fraser is gonna break
down how it works.
Speaker 5 (15:41):
All right, It's very simple. So you have your buzzers.
I will start to read lyrics from a song in
a very monotone way, and then you have to tell
me the name of the song. When you know it,
hit your buzzer.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
No artists, just the name.
Speaker 5 (15:52):
If you get the artist, you don't get a bonus
point or a prop or something on.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
A point two points.
Speaker 5 (15:56):
All right, here we go first one.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Okay, we always do that, We always do that.
Speaker 5 (16:02):

Correct, two to zeroorry. There's two more. There's two more.
Here we go, hands on buzzers. Don't get upset. Can
you see your buzzer with your glasses?
Speaker 4 (16:25):
Shut up?
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Rising up back on the street, Mario survivor. I the
tiger that is rising up back on the street.
Speaker 5 (16:37):
We come on, all right, one more and this one
will be worth two points for each thing, so you
could tie it up and then we'll finish. We'll do
a tiebreaker next week if you get it. Here we go,
hands on buzzers. Highway run. That was corny.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Hallway that.
Speaker 4 (16:55):
Halloway run.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
She doesn't know.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
Hallway around for no hiway run, not.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
How we run, Mario Journey faithfully correct. Oh I smoked you.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Here taking a quick look to see
what's trending over on the website.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
Well, you can watch a doubt to work on stage
amid a wardrobe malfunction in a torrential downpour while torking
in the rain.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
A lot going on there.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Okay, I love that find out why I sure canceled
the first night of his much anticipated tour, and comic
Rob Schneider reacts to his daughter el King's allegations that
he was toxic.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
It's unfortunate Amrio dot com for all that and more.
Mario Courtney Lopez here always finding a reason to celebrate.
What's the day's obscure holiday?
Speaker 4 (17:45):
Honey raw It is World Photo Day.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
With everyone having a camera on their phone. Now, there's
all kinds of great photos that people are capturing out there.
Coolest one I've seen in a while is that surfer
in the Olympics. It looked like he was flying in
the air. I was pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
Pick that that guy got very cool.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Gabriel Medina from here.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
What's up?
Speaker 7 (18:07):
You're on?
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Mario Lopez? And to for one last thing, I recently
posted something asking people you have to work forty hours
a week. What's a better work week schedule? A for
ten hour days or B five eight hour days? First
of all, who works just forty hours a week? I
wish I just worked forty hours a week, to which
(18:29):
I say, there should be c an option to work
three twelve hour days.
Speaker 5 (18:35):
Well, it's only thirty six hours.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
Though, that's only thirty six hours. You know what, maybe
you throw in an extra hour here, an extra hour there,
depending on how you feel on like Monday, or do
you come in for just four hours the next day
then it's kind of a half day, but you still
got to come in.
Speaker 5 (18:50):
What if you do one sixteen hour day and till
twelve hour day?
Speaker 2 (18:54):
That's rough, that's rough because but the sixteen hour day
would be after the four day weekend. Yeah, but I
don't know or is it better just the four ten
hour days? I think you're always fourteen hour days, then
you get three day weekend off.
Speaker 5 (19:06):
Four ten hour days seems like the perfect in my
head to me, that's the perfect scenario.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
Well, especially since three twelve hour days of the math
is working.
Speaker 5 (19:14):
It doesn't add up.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
Yes, tell Mario what do you think? On Twitter at
On with Mario More Mario Lopez on the way.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
All right, we're out here quick. Thanks again at Kristen
Bell Christian Campbell for zooming in all Mario dot com
to hear more of that chat.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
We're back tomorrow for more fun Yay. Until then, this
is Mario and Corney Lopez saying good night
Speaker 1 (19:33):
With Mario Lopez
