Speaker 1 (00:00):
We are fun with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Back to work, No case of the Monday's here. You're
on with Mario and Courtney Lopez. We are kicking off
the last week at twenty twenty four right with actor
Liam Neeson.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
He's gonna zoom in later to talk naked gun, rebooting more,
plus a random question, your comments, questions, and all your
favorite music. So turn it up and let's get the
music started, joll.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Mario Lopez guys that I have some interesting choices when
it comes to hygiene. Zay Malik only uses water to
wash his face. He says, soap is horrible for your skin.
Note to self, don't kick it next to Zaye Malley, bro,
you got to stop with that. And fellows, let me
tell you something. Don't get all bohemian on us. If

(00:46):
you stink and you're ripe, no one's gonna want to
kick it with you. You're not doing anyone any favors.
You're just making it very difficult for people to want
to hang around you. And please do not get on
an airplane and travel with people if you're not using
water to watch your body. Travis Kelsey's brother Jason says
he goes months without washing his hair. What the heck?
Oh no, he says, it's completely unnecessary. And neither Travis

(01:10):
nor Jason washed their feet in the shower unless they're
covered with dirt. Bro, They're always covered in dirt. You're
you're going out with Taylor Swift? What is the matter
with you? You gotta you don't wash your feet?

Speaker 4 (01:21):
I heard she doesn't wash her legs in the shower.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Wait, what how is that? That's not that? That can't
be true.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
That Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Mario Lopez was some quick buzz for you. Comedy Central
can't get enough Beavis and butt Head. They've renewed the
cartoon for a third season after the first two seasons
air on Paramount Plus. Oh my gosh, we really are
going back to the nineties. All right, let's get back
to music. So what were the top songs and iHeart
Radio in twenty twenty four? What up You're on? Mario
Courtney Lopez? I Heeart Radio rewind has the results? Jen

(01:52):
X played the heck out of some Aerosmith and Phil Collins.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
I want to find out yours. Just tap your free
iHeartRadio app and find out who your most played artist was.
Top Songs and so much more, John.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Mario Lopez, and Adam Levine is returning to his chair on.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
With Mario Hollywood buzz.

Speaker 5 (02:11):
Well.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
It's been five years and ten seasons since Adam left
the Voice in twenty nineteen, but in twenty twenty five,
he's making a return. Adam's going to be coaching again
for season twenty seven, alongside John Legend, Michael Bubley, and
newcomer Kelsey Ballerini. Adam is the second longest Service coach
behind Blake Shelton. His singers have won the show three times.

(02:33):
The Voice, with all due respect, I still couldn't tell
you one winner. It's hard. It's really a showcase for
the judges. They get to display all their new music,
they get to talk about their tours and what have you.
So it's great for them. I mean, I guess it's
great for the contestants and their exposure. But we haven't
really had any guests too often from the Voice, have we? No?

Speaker 4 (02:54):
Yeah, lest they're a coach, Unless they're a coach.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
More Mario Lopez coming.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Up, Mario Bopez. Here, it looks like we got a
new message on our inbox courtesy of the talkback button.
On the iHeart Radio app. Let's hear it.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Hi, This is Jenny French from East Song Meadow. I
love Adam Levine and I love Maroon five. Can't wait
for to be back on the voice, and my favorite
song is Payphone.

Speaker 6 (03:17):
It's Happy ever After, dude, exist, I would still be
holding you like this. All those very tales are full
love song.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Oh be sick.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
You could have done the radio version.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Wow, Jenny. I like the commitment, appreciate the message and
love that that you committed that.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
That's great.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Listen, we love hearing from you, So just hit the
talkback button on the bottom of the iHeart Radio app.
Mario Cordy Lopez here if someone needs to give Daniel
Radcliffe their HBO password. My guy says he's never seen
any of the great TV dramas like The Sopranos, Breaking
Bad or The Wire What. He says he can't get
through any heavy, hour long shows. Instead, he watches cartoons

(04:07):
in reality TV. What are you nine years old?

Speaker 6 (04:09):
Wait?

Speaker 2 (04:10):
This is Harry Potter, right, Harry Potter.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Aren't those movies like ten hours long?

Speaker 2 (04:14):
That's the irony there, you know. Teach the road. All right,
let's play some more music. You're all Mario, Courtney Lopez
town to put on our thinking caps. Let's get to
Courtney's random question.

Speaker 6 (04:25):
What you got, honey?

Speaker 3 (04:27):
If Jurassic Park opened today, for reals, knowing all that
we know about it, would you visit?

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yes, because our son is really into dinosaurs right now.
They both were at one point, but Santino really really
into it. And listen Jurassic Park in the movie, if
you remember, in the original everything was fine until I
can't remember the character's name and from Seinfeld Newman, from Seinfeld.
That's right, he's Newman. Hello, Newman. He started. As long

(04:56):
as he doesn't wild out, it could be a nice
functional park.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
I really would love to go on a safari like
in Africa.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
That's on our list, is it? Yeah? Oh we're gonna do.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
I'm petrified, but I really want to do it.

Speaker 6 (05:10):
Yeah, Yeah, we're gonna do it.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
More. Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Mario Lopez here with my wife Courtney and Ben Affleck
is talking about all the memes that go viral online,
and he says he always looks miserable in photos because
he hates having his picture taken. Well, you can tell, so.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Whatever he sees someone in public with the camera. It
bums him out. He says, family members love to bus
his chops over the photos and are always sending him
the latest meme. He should like turn the tables and
be exactly overly excited, and yeah, start.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Clicking his heels, throw them for loop. Mario Courtney Lopez
with some quick buzz. It's taken thirty seven years, but
mel Brooks finally making a sequel to Spaceballs. Josh Dad
is going to start on this one. No word of
any of the original cast members are returning yet Bill
Pullman and Ricks with the leads in the original. It's,
of course a spoof on the Star Wars franchise. I'm

(06:07):
gonna like to watch that with decon. Yeah, Nicols watched
the original Spaceballs.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Got to watch We need to watch that and then
you can watch all.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Right, let's get back to the music. You're al Mario
Lopez and Maya Hawk embraces her inner Nepo baby.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
On Victorio Hollywood Bush.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
So Maya Hawk is pretty talented in her own right,
with roles in Stranger Things and Asteroid City, but she
admits that she's gotten some roles due to her famous parents,
Ethan Hawk and Uma Thurman. Well, one of those was
Once upon a Time in Hollywood, where she played one
of Charles Manson's followers. She says she's comfortable with being
called an nepo baby. She knows how lucky she is

(06:44):
and loves learning about the business from her father. Hey,
you know what, that's cool. She gets it and she's
she's good.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
I watched Stranger Things.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
She is good and listen, you wouldn't take advantage of
that opportunity, and if you didn't have the talent, it's
not going to sustain. Like Michael Douglas would be considered
an Epple baby right because his father was a big star,
Kirk Douglas. But Michael Douglas was an awesome actor, probably one
of the biggest actors, especially in the eighties. He was
one of the biggest bio stars. Romanton and Stone. Basic instinct,

(07:12):
it goes on and on, Yes, exactly. Speaking of Wall Street,
Charlie Sheen, Yes, his father Martin Sheen, big actor prior
to Charlie and Emilia. But Charlie Emilia are pretty good. Yeah,
so it's not too far fetched to think genetically they're
probably gonna inherit some of their.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
Talent talents a bit.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
Yeah, and if they have an interest and the opportunities
are there, like I said, who wouldn't.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Well, and then if they're not good, people will not respond.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
Yes more.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
Mario Lopez coming up, Mario.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Courtney Lopez with some quick buzz for you. Our buddy
Rob Lowe wants a biopick about himself. Okay, and he's
already picked who he wants to play him, Zach Front
All right.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Well, Rob said he just loved Zach and Iron Claw
and rob Son thinks the idea is hilarious. He thinks
a better movie would just be watching Rob pitching the
idea to Zach and his agent.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
That's hilarious. I like that. It's very bold. You know what,
we should do a movie about me that's so confident.
You know who looks like him? Actually?

Speaker 6 (08:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (08:15):
That who?

Speaker 4 (08:16):
Ian summer Holder.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Yes, that guy. We just need the whiskey thing.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
We said that to Rob years ago here in studio.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
We talked about it and he had kind of mentioned
Zach and then we said Ian would be and he
was like, oh, yeah, he looks just like him.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
Mario Lopez here in today's guest will be zooming in
any moment now it's Oscar winning actor Liam Nice and
his newest movie is called Absolution, maybe one of his
last action movies ever. We're going to find out all
about it after a few more songs, sobril Mario Lopez
running down on Zoom from the new movie Solution, Oscar
nominated actor Liam Niese and welcome back. How have you

(09:04):
been Liam?

Speaker 6 (09:04):
Good? Mario good? I yes, I've been busy, thankfully, yes,
and I haven't been found out yet apparently so well.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Good for you. Always appreciate you taking the time. Congratulations
on the new film. Tell me about Absolution. What's it about?

Speaker 6 (09:24):
What it's Absolution? Well, it's about a character who is
a thug and has been a professional thug for many years.
He's kind of stuck in the seventies, I think nineteen seventies.
He's done some nasty things in his life and he's
with his grandson. He's trying to make some kind of restitution.

(09:48):
I think for all the horror, he is commiss it
against humanity. Lovely, lovely script, terrific actors Yolanda Ross, Frankie Show,
very Big Wrong, Pearlman, have you know, wonderful cast. There
was a joy to be with these actors up in

(10:11):
Boston we shot which was four movies for.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Me, looking forward to checking it out. Absolution is out.
Now we're going to more. Liam Neeson coming up.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
More, Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Mario Lopez here a getting back Liam Neeson, who is
on zoom with us and Liam.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
A lot of your action movies have a theme about
protecting the family. Is that just coincidence? Are you drawn
to those types of works?

Speaker 6 (10:34):
I guess I'm drawn. I guess I am. You know,
I was brought up Irish Catholic, working class family. We
were you know, we were. We were a strong family
in it. I have to say we were especially growing up,
you know when it was known as the Troubles in
the North of Ireland from nineteen sixty nine up to

(10:58):
agreement being signed in nineteen ninety. So there was a
lot of violence in our six counties yea, on the
North barnl So we we kind of kept together. We
stuck together as a family, you know, all.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Right, Liam hey ty didn play a little music and
then more with Liam Neeson. Catch it up with Liam
Neese in this sari Al, Mario Lopez and one thing
we have in common. I like boxing, and I know
you used to box back in the day.

Speaker 6 (11:24):
Yeah, listen, you look after yourself. You're looking good.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Power appreciate I appreciate it. When was the last time
you threw the gloves on or you sparred or how
to fight?

Speaker 6 (11:36):
I had a little sparring sason with John Duddy, who's
an ex super medalweight champion from Ireland retired in the film.
We have a little sparring scene together. You know, it
was funny because we showed it in like day two
and I wish, I wish we could have shot it
later on, and they should. But with John sparring, I

(11:59):
had that headgear Onmond. We had the big sparring gloves stuff.
But John Kevin whispering to me, hit me, hitting me,
because it wasn't I was, you know, I was working,
you know what you do in movies. But John kept
on hit me, hit me.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
I love it all right, Gonna play a few songs.
We're gonna talk some.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
More with.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Amar Lopez, Lean Niesen hanging out with us. A new
movie is Absolution, but also in the works. You got
another movie called Cold Storage.

Speaker 6 (12:31):
What can you tease us about that? Yes, we shot
that last year. Oh my gosh. Well, it's about pathogen
that has been sent up into space by NASA as

(12:51):
an experiment, types of germs and stuff, but some of
it falls back to the desert of Australia. It has altered,
let's put it that way. Hopefully really really entertaining.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Ice Road too is in the rising. So you getting
back in the big rig for that.

Speaker 6 (13:13):
One I have done. Yeah, we showed out in Melbourne
earlier this year. It's supposed to be set in Nepal.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Oh wow.

Speaker 6 (13:23):
And indeed the second unit we went there for the
last week and a half the shoot, you know, amazing scenery,
amazing and it's a good sequel, totally unpredictable sequel to
the first Ice Round.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
Gotcha all right? Liam Hank tied for me. We're gonna
take quick break and then come back to wrap it
up with Liam Nees.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
More Mario Lopez coming.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Up rabbing it w Liam Nees and you're all Mario Lopez.
Last question, sir, have you started shooting Naked Gun yet?

Speaker 6 (13:56):
Yes. We wrapped out of it three months ago. Kiva
Schaeffer writer director x SML world terrific director, working with
a wonderful Pamela Anderson, Danni Houston, Old Walter Houser, who plays.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
My SIDEK great. I love it. Be somebody that's crazy.

Speaker 6 (14:19):
He's great. It's just great. So we had a few
giggles and hopefully the audience will too when the film
comes out next July August.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Oh, I can't wait to see that. That's gonna be great,
just visually. I'm just picturing you guys to get that was.

Speaker 6 (14:33):
Such a pad of the original.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
That is awesome. Congratulations on everything. And when you see it,
I'm gonna totally laud I'm gonna totally laugh. It'll be
belly ax from the last.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
I was gonna ask you if he could threaten you,
but I think you just did.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Meanwhile, prior to that, Absolution is in theaters right now,
so be sure to check that out. Liam, Thanks for
hanging out today.

Speaker 6 (14:55):
Thanks, I'll see you down the road. Okay, you got
to take care.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Courtney Lopez here, let's put a spotlight on my wife
and get to Courtney's random thought.

Speaker 6 (15:05):
What do you got, honey?

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Imagine getting roasted by Pinocchio, but with every diss his
nose hasn't moved an inch. What salty would you be?
Oh salty.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Don't ever disrespect me with a pinocchio diss and his
nose doesn't move an inch, that would be the worst.
Ah disrespect yo, Mario Lopez. Let's get to your comments.
What's in our mentions today?

Speaker 5 (15:30):
This is from Matt Been Shipwrecked? Is it okay for
celebrities to attend funerals?

Speaker 6 (15:35):
Like?

Speaker 5 (15:35):
Would my dead uncle appreciate everyone taking selfies with Mario
Lopez on his big day?

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Do you know this person's uncle on his big day?

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Been shipwrecked? Listen? If I happen to have known your
uncle and he was a friend, or we had worked together, whatever,
I would have paid my respects. And if other people
were there taking selfies, I don't want to be rude.
And what if it makes someone maybe I feel a
little better that day or something I would not Can
I try to.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
Turn it down.

Speaker 5 (16:01):
I think it's okay for celebrities to ten funerals. I
think it's inappropriate for everyone at the funeral to go
up and ask the celebrity for a selfie.

Speaker 4 (16:08):
Well, that's on the person.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
If the celebrity starts volunteering we wants a selfie, then
that's not a good look.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Or Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
It's Mario Courtney Lopez was some good and bad news
for Rihanna fans. The good news is she's not given
up on music. Fans were worried after she was spotted
wearing a T shirt that said, I'm retired. It has
been nine years since she's come out with music. However,
we're not getting any new music anytime since.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Well.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
In fact, Rihanna says she's starting over on her new album.
It's been eight years since her last release with Antai.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Yeah, I thought it was nine years, but yeah, I
guess it has been eight years. I mean, she did
a lot of music and she wasn't happy with it.
Now she's starting over.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
Oh and she had kids, so she's been a little preoccupied.
So it'll come when it comes. You've her time, people, Geez.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Mario Courtney Lopez was a quick buzz. Nicole Kidman and
Sandra Bullock are feeling witchy women again. They are teaming
up for a sequel to the nineteen ninety eight movie
Practical Magic Now. The original wasn't a huge box office
success at the time. It made seventy million dollars on
a sixty eight million dollar budget.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
So it's two million dollar profit.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
They made profit, they lose money.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
They didn't lose, but essentially broke even gain more fans
in recent years thanks to streaming. I gotta say, I
don't remember it, do you?

Speaker 3 (17:19):
I don't, I don't And I love witchy things because
I'm witch I'm witchy.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
Mess you up, Yamarow Courtney Lopez. Time Now for one
last thing. The website ranker asked people about the best
two thousand's comedy. So from this New Century we're in
one hundred and forty one thousand votes later. Here is
their top five.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
Yes, not from the nineteen hundred.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Not from the nineteen hundred smew.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
Number five is Sean of the Dead. I didn't see
that one.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
I've never seen that either.

Speaker 5 (17:49):
I saw that movie. Actually interviewed those guys. Simon peg
who played Scottie in the New Star Trek stuff he's
in that Is it funny? It actually is quite funny.
Ok It's British though, so put out titles.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
Number four Step Brothers funny, pretty funny. Number three Dodgeball, Okay,
number two.

Speaker 4 (18:09):
I have issues with that one. Dodgeball.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna give my I'm one of the
funniest stuff. I'm going to give you what I think
should be replacing when you're done with the list.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
Okay, number two is the Hangover.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
Okay, no problem with that.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
Number one drum Wall please, it was terrible. It is
super bad.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
I have no issue with that. I will take umbrage
with number three, Dodgeball and replace it with Bridesmaids. YESID
was really funny, the unrated version of that, which is
why streaming itself. That is a movie that if it's
on I will stop and watch over there every time.
If you watch it through the credits, I get a
shout out from Kristin we do yes, which is fun.

(18:48):
More Mario Lopez coming up, all right, that's gonna do
it for us quick. Thanks again to Liam Neeson for
zooming in on more dot com from my full chat
with him. More fun tomorrow as we honor the best
in world the radio show with their twenty twenty four
Lopez Awards.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
Trust me, you don't want to miss it until then.
This is Mario and Courtney Lopez saying good night and
happy holidays.
