Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
All right back behind the mic and fired up to
be hanging out with you for the next few hours.
What a Mario Lopez. Here's so much fun stuff to
get into. We're gonna break down this insane one hundred
men versus one gorilla online debate that went viral this week,
plus another fake debate. Must see movies are common of
the week and just a few songs away from a
Roon five or turn into our Mario Music Minute. So

(00:24):
turn it up. You're on with Mario Lopez. You're a
Mario Lopez. More music on the way, as Frazer quickly
tells us about a few of the new things hitting
TV and streaming Netflix.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
As a series premiere of bad Boy, a comedian recounts
how his wit kept him alive inside a brutal juvenile
detention center in this raw coming of age drama inspired
by true events.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
It's kind of a cool premise. And one of my
favorite movies as a kid was called Bad.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Boys with Will Smith.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
No, with Sean Penn and east SiGe Morales.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
I don't even know that.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
No, it holds up and it's about these kids going
to juvie. Oh, juvenile which is juvenile detention and it's
pretty hardcore. Ali Sheety's in it, and it's it's a
hardcore film and to look that up, it holds up.
I saw it recently.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Disney Plus and Hulu begins streaming Genghis Khan The Secret
History of the Mongols. A fearless warrior and ruthless conqueror.
Genghis Khan's epic rise in the Mongolian Empire's incredible expansion
are brought to thrilling life in this six part.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Series Genghis Khan Great Name, Yes.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
And Max as the series premiere of Malditos facing expulsion
from their land, a matriarch and her son's fight to
save their clan while hiding a dark secret that could
destroy them.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Ooh, Maalito's great title. That's little bad ones. Okay, so
have you made your Mother's Day reservations yet?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
What?

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Almaro Lopez here. Mother's Day just over a week away,
and according to Open Table, thirty nine percent of moms
have had to book their own Mother's Day meal. That's
all right, that's that's come on, guys, step it up.
And of course that's not with the we're hoping for
A problem is when mom leaves it to someone else,
they usually end up panic booking a restaurant aday or

(02:05):
two before. But there's still time, so step up and
get those Mother's Day plans locked in. Come on, now, all,
let's get back to the music. Ah Mario Lopez Frasier
in studio with me. I'm sure you've seen this all
week already, but we got to get to it. A
question went viral this week on the Internet. It's so silly,
but it is fascinating, asking who would win if one

(02:28):
hundred men took on one silverback gorilla. Here's the deal.
I've seen a chimpanzee, which is much smaller than a gorilla. Yes,
literally tear limbs from trees, and apparently have taken limbs
from people and from other chimps and from other chimps,

(02:52):
and rip faces off of people. This is a chimpanzee,
they say. A silverback gorilla, which is significantly big, has
the strength of like fifty men, Okay, and when cornered
and felt threatened, the adrenaline strength goes up even more.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Yes, I saw a video on Instagram of this woman
was at a zoo and there were two silver back
guerrillas that got into a fight watching them beat on
each other.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Oh man, dude, it's insane.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
It's it's You couldn't even pile on this gorilla and
hold it down the whole.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
That I realized the numbers, the sheer number of people.
But the problem would be but.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
That's problematic too, because you can't all get to it
at once.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
You can't. The problem would be he'd tear the arms
off of the first four people and start beating the
next four or five people with it.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Or just grab the first person.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Yes, exactly, grab the first person and start ragged on
him and beating everything else. Who's willing to be infantry
with this gorilla here?

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Not me.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
No one's willing to be infantry. And I think people
would be shocked. You think people actually think they could
do it if we get a hundred of my home. Now,
there is zero chance you have. And not only that,
it being zero chance because the key here was no weapons, right,
no weapons. You cannot pierce. What are you gonna do?
You can't punch and kick this gorilla. You're not there's
solid muscle to you know, how they're thick, they're standing

(04:12):
exactly it. You're not gonna hurt them with one hundred people.
Even if you go, you're not gonna hurt them. He's
gonna explode with the weight of the people he's going
to They are gonna be humans flying demolish. Look everyone,
it's not even close. The people that they they could
do it are bizarre to be this gorilla. It would
be like a video game. It will feel never gonna happen,
never happened more. Mario Lopez on the way, keeping the

(04:33):
music and fun coming your way. You're on Mario Lopez
and nothing more fun than an obscure holiday. All right, Fraser,
what are we recognizing today?

Speaker 3 (04:40):
I'm gonna give you a choice because they sounded alike
World Tuna Day or International Tuba Day.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Well, I have a lot of tuna. I eat a
lot of fish, so I feel like I celebrate that.
Often don't get to recognize the tuba. The tuba underrated
instrument gives a nice little bait boo. Yeah, let's go tuba.
Happy International Tuba Day. You're a Mario Lopez keeping the

(05:07):

a dangerous mission that forces them to confront the darkest
corners of their past.

of the Marvel universe. I'm sure my boys will be
hitting me up.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
The Surfer with Nicholas Cage, a man revisits a childhood
beach to surf with the sun. Humiliated by locals, though
he becomes entangled in an escalating conflict that pushes him
to his limits. Didn't this have to you?

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (06:02):
Surfers are very territorial about their beach, which I was
not aware of, and I learned the hard way when
I ended up getting into a scuffle with a surfer who.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Knew they get on a beach.

Speaker 3 (06:16):

Speaker 2 (07:53):
But the et Icon commented on an IG post earlier
in the week. After thinking long time supporter, she addressed
how the online world has tried to make her a
human begnata over the years. Instead of calling our critics
of her Blue Origin space experience, she reflected on advice
her therapist gave her years ago that she continues to

(08:14):
rely on when facing judgment. No one can make you
believe something about yourself that you don't already believe about yourself. Okay, okay.
She revealed that she does her best to ignore the
haters and not let her negativity get to her because
so many people are hurting in so many ways, and
the Internet is very much so a dumping ground for
unhinged and unhealed. That's true, that I do agree, Yes,

(08:36):
that I do agree with. Unfortunately, there's many great things
about the Internet, but unfortunately it does become a platform
for a lot of negative people out there to spew
their hate, negativity, and yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
And they just try to tear down everyone for everything,
and you've got to just navigate through that.

Apparently Selena was so nervous about her first kiss with
Bennie that she ended up with a rash true story.
They sat down for an interview and opened up about
the beginning of the relationship, and Benny recalled their first
kiss as a spontaneous moment that left the come and
get it songstress extremely flustered. He says, we were just
sitting in the living room on the couch and we

(12:01):
were playing We're Not Really strangers, and there was a
thing where it said take a selfie with the person
next to you. She got right on my chest and
took a selfie. I kissed her ride away and her
heart started beating so quickly and she started getting a
rash on her face. She was so nervous. Okay. Gomez
also spoke about the kiss, confirming her nerves were so
intense because that was the first time she felt a

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Wow, mister Lopez, I apologize for my wife's timeline. I
