Speaker 3 (02:47):
What you got, honey, Well, this is a very helpful
way to keeping your gift giving organized. And I actually
have been doing this for years and never thought to
tell people about out it until now, but it really
helps and now I'm going to tell you this is
helpful if you have to give gifts out to a
lot of people, assign a unique wrapping paper to each
(03:11):
person or group. So what I do is for the kids,
the Santa gifts, have one wrapping paper our family that's
our gifts from to our family that stays in our home.
Have another your work gifts. I have another theme. Got it,
and it just is easier.
Speaker 5 (03:33):
That's a real smart one because I try and start
early and then you forget. Yes, you know, and even
though I write the names on it and stuff, it
could just be so I mean, I find that helpful,
you know, just simplifying the gift giving process for large
families by assignment and a distinct wrapping paper design. I'm
telling you it's a way to keep things fun and
not disorganized, but but a way to keep it fun
(03:57):
for yourself as well, so you're not going crazy.
Speaker 1 (04:00):

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Back Mario Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 6 (06:28):
Here.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Turkey Day just nine days away. I cannot wait. And
just in case you were wondering, this Thanksgiving is going
to cost the average American nearly one thousand dollars. New
survey finds people will spend two hundred and seventy five
dollars just on food and drinks on average, tack on
another eighty three dollars for holiday to court, two ninety
for miscellaneous things like fixing a broken appliants or buying
(06:50):
a new outfit to wear, plus nearly three hundred for
travel expenses, and the total for Turkey Day climbs to
an average of nine to fifty two.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
Wow. Well to keep costs down, some people say they're
just going to do smaller gatherings, So don't be offended
if you're not invited and ask us to bring some
side dishes instead of cooking everything themselves.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
That's a good move.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
That is a very good move. Well, the good thing
is I don't decorate for Thanksgiving. I have like a
couple of leaves. I'll just throw a board on the table,
you know, keep it simple. And why around the holidays
and appliance always breaks it's a washer or a dishwasher,
So that is very very true. Speaking of we need
(07:30):
a microwave, yeah, I just thought about it.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
All right, let's get back to the music. What tomorrow,
Courney Lopez here with some quick food buzz for you.
What do you think the healthiest vegetable in the world
might be spinach? Well, turns out it is watercress samit.
New research has watercress is packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants,
all while barely adding any calories. It's a total nutrient powerhouse,
(07:55):
a way out of spinach and kale. I'll toss it
in a salad or in a sand, maybe in a soup,
easy way to get a serious health boost without thinking twice.
Make sure you wash it weld because the experts warned
there could be tiny little insects.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
Whoa, we had to go there.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Well that's a way to discourage No, why would you
add that? Yes, speaking of vegetables, I have a major
fun fact I want to share with you guys about
one of the most prolific broadcasters in histories. All right,
but we'll talk about that, but right now, more music.
It's up your all. Mario Courtney Lopez and we were
just talking about the healthiest vegetable in the world, and
(08:33):
apparently it's.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
Watercress covered in insects, which might have insects.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
So you gotta watch with a British accent.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Yes, we needed to omit that information, but hey, we're
honest with you. Anyway. I came across this article yesterday.
I just thought it was fascinating. Al Michaels, who of
course calls Monday Night football and is just legendary broadcaster.
He recently mentioned in an interview. Mind you, he's eighty
one years old. He's never had a vegetable in his life.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Stop.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
Yes, not even accidentally.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
That's the weirdest thing to vocalize. He's never had a vegel.
How you go eighty one years without having a veggie?
By the way, he looks healthy. It's not like he's
an unhealthy looking guy.
Speaker 6 (09:13):
But I don't know if I buy this because you're
telling me this man's never eat a French fry because
that's a potato.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Well, okay, I'm sure he's had French fries. That does
not I think he means more.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
Like broccoli and yeah, like but to carry and.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
Why would he lie? He's eighty one years old, why
would he like?
Speaker 4 (09:26):
But he wants to be saying he's not a wild Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Actually, you figure there's celery and carrots and soup. At
some point you don't like carrots and soup, but I'm
sure you've eaten it.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
I love carrots, I just don't like cook carrots.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Carrots them and soup.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Yeah yeah, so but he said he's never had I
just thought that was so for a full row man
to vocalize. If I was a little kid hearing that,
I would have like, see how Michael's look, I don't
have to eat the mom Yeah, look at I.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
Can honestly say I've never had a oyster or.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
An you know, that's different. A lot of people haven't
had oysters. You know, it's a particular. But vegetables, vegetables
like that's a that's a mandate on your plate. I
just thought that was wild. So go ahead, Mount Michael's
you do you.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
Man, it's never eaten a salad.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Yeah, he's weird.
Speaker 1 (10:14):

How many times do you think you say thank you
in a day. I'm pretty polite, I say it pretty often.
Turns out the average American says thank you six times
on an average day, or around twenty two hundred times
a year, according to a new survey. For most of us,
the holidays make us feel more grateful than any other
time of the year, and we express our gratitude more
(18:40):
during the holiday season.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
That is very true, and some of the top ways
people show appreciation to those they're grateful for including giving
them a personally picked gift, having heartfelt conversations and cooking
for them. And the best news, most of us think
we have more to be thankful for this year than
last year.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
That is good news.
