Speaker 1 (00:00):
On On with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Here we go Tuesday, Maria Courtney Lopez back behind the
mics and fired up to hang with you for the
next few hours. Got a helpful and slightly shady life
act to get to.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Plus random thought, Latest buzz, and all your favorite music.
So turn it up. You're on with Mario and Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
A Mario Courtney Lopez digging into the bus her Little
Grammys follow up On with Mario Hollywood Buzz. So the
sixty seventh Annual Grammy Awards went down on Sunday night.
We went over the winters yesterday all Right dot com
for a full list of winners. As we get a
little Awards follow.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Up, Chapel Roane unfazed by her wardrobe malfunction while accepting
her very first Grammy. She was dressed in a medieval
style mini dress with a tall pointed hat with a
train that she wore in the audience. I don't know
who saw anything that was sitting behind her, but as
she gave her speech, the hat slipped right off, with
Chapel laughing it off seemingly unbothered.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Yeah, that was an interesting choice, very eccentric.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Well, speaking of hats, Jaden Smith. Jaden Smith went viral
with his choice of headwear, a black castle to match
his black TuS. Fans online couldn't wait to roast him
for that.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
You know, when your parents tell you you're not leaving
the house. That's he took it literally, yeah, and put
his house on his head.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
It was very strange. But the hype over Jaden's castle
helmet didn't last too long because Yay and his wife
Bianca Sensory stole the show. When they walked in. Bianca
shed her black fur coat and exposed a completely see
through dress. All you hear is a photographer going let
me see your dress, let me see your dress under

(01:41):
your coat, and she takes off her coat in the
prisonal dress.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
You have to be incredibly confident and brave to rock that.
And every time she poses on a carpet with with Yay,
I feel like she's a hostage.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
And it does have that, it has that.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Vibe right yeah, but who knows. She never gave the
hand signal to say help, There is a signal?

Speaker 5 (02:07):
Okay, Mario Lopez coming up Almaro Courtney Lopez taking a
quick look at what's new on TV.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
And streaming a and he has a season seven premiere
of Neighborhood Wars, which takes viewers into the homes and
backyards of neighbors across the country, with some of the
most unexpected and emotionally charged events caught on camera.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Wow, you know you can't pick your family and you
can't pick your neighbors.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Very true.

Speaker 6 (02:34):
We've had some wars ourselves.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Our neighbor the other night was on her roof looking
at something in the neighbor's yard.

Speaker 6 (02:42):
What that's this?

Speaker 2 (02:43):
A neighbor with too much time on their ends. We're
lucky because our across the street neighbors are really cool.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Yeah. A. And he also has a new season of
Customer Wars, spotlighting the conflicts that arise when disgruntled and
irrational customers come face to face with the employees doing
their best to take care of their needs.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Ooh, another thing. You can't choose who your customers are.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
So and Hulu has the premiere of Wicked Game Devil
in the Desert, a new limited series hunting the mastermind
of a violent abduction. Authorities unravel a twisted tale of
obsession during their early days of legalized pots.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Oh that's probably good, Mario Courtney Lopez, there was some
big game buzz you were throwing a Super Bowl watch party.
Snacks are key, and word is that this year the
cost of Super Bowl treats will be about the same
as last year, with a few exceptions. Food for a
big game party at ten will run around one hundred
and thirty nine dollars, only about ten cents more than

(03:37):
last year.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Okay, well, I guess that's not so bad.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Yeah, well we're saving one hundred and thirty nine dollars
because we're not doing nada.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Well, we've got invited to a few, so maybe we go.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
We know, oh yeah, we'll take something.

Speaker 6 (03:48):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Yeah, all Mario Lopez, time for Courtney's Corner.

Speaker 6 (03:54):
What you got for us?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Well, this is kind of right up in my alley.
It's a shady hack, if you will, if you hate
being on the phone, here is a tip to be
able to get off of any phone at any time
whenever you're Whenever you answer your phone, immediately tell the
person you're almost out of battery and your phone might die.

Speaker 6 (04:13):
It's my move. I've been doing that for years.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
What do you think we got the hack?

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Then dip out whenever you want the excuse built in.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
I've been doing this for years and it works like
a charm and you say it right away, Hey, what's up?

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Man?

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Just so you know my phone's about to die, but
what's up? And then you continue.

Speaker 7 (04:28):
Mario's also got He's also got the just so you know,
I'm doing the radio show right now, so if I
have to dip, that's what I'm doing.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Like, He's got a few of those that work. That's
the truth.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Though usually when I'm doing the radio show, that's that thing.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
You know, you can't pull any of that. So he
lied to me last week and I've I don't even remember.
It was like some stupid whitey and I busted out laughing,
and I know it was something you wanted to be
on the right side.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
What something he wanted the right side?

Speaker 3 (04:59):
And I said, shut up, you just want to be
on the right side, and he busted out live.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
I was right, No, you're making stuff up.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Look, if you're gonna lie like that, you can't laugh
when they catch you in it.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
He knows he cannot lie.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
To me more Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Gotta go check out all the nominees for our twenty
twenty five iHeart Radio Music Awards, but more importantly, start

Show last night, Mario Courtney Lopez here, she's out promoting
her musical Redwood, which recently made it's Broadway debut.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
A few other artists making TV appearances as well. You
might want to set a reminder to check out Kimmel
tonight because Gavin Rosdale said to join him with Seth
Myers welcoming Nicole Scherzinger over on NBC.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Breathing Breathe Out, Breathing Breathe that's my Gavin Rosdale.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
I like that song. You like that It makes me
remember to breathe in and breathe out.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Helpful at all Mario Lopez on Instagram, at all, Mario
on Facebook and.

Speaker 6 (06:22):
X we love hearing from you.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Mario Courtney Lopez here all right, honey, would you find today?

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Well this is from Odd Sheep and they said, finally
said miho to a kid for the first time in
my life and a modellospond in my hand.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Ah odd cheap, very funny miho. Well, the exact translation
is sun in Spanish, but it's a term of endearment
like I'm Juan, and you'll say it to usually family
members and stuff or kids that you're trying to be
sweet to. But yes, the modello is a is a
Mexican thing is It's the Mexican beer and very popular
in our community.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
More Mario Lopez, coming up you all, Mario Courtney Lopez,
quick look at the bus because Justin Baldoni has amended
his lawsuit and dropped the whole website Hollywood Buzz.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
So this Justin Baldoni Blake Lively legal drama just seems
to get bigger and bigger. It's turned into a saga now.
Baldoni has now amended his defamation lawsuit against Blake Lively
and Ryan Reynolds to include The New York Times, because
metadata in the screen caps of the text messages they
published reportedly show the paper lied about the source of

(07:30):
those texts.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Ooh, I'm confused.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
He also dropped a new website one hundred and sixty
eight pages of texts with Lively and Ryan Reynolds. So basically,
Justin is making it rain with receipts. My guy has
got receipts longer than cvs. They really chose to mess
with the wrong guy, because.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
Bill definitely did.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
He is not exactly a saint either in some of
the texts that he's left, and we had an inside
conversation with the agency and the legal department confirm that
it was to terminate their relationship with him, So he's
not exactly completely out of the woods. However, it seems

(08:08):
like he's got a mountain of evidence against both Blake
Lively and Ryan Reynolds and the New York Times and
now the New York Times, and the public has really
turned on the Reynolds in a big way. I think
the way the public looks at it is like this
powerful Hollywood couple was trying to squash and end this

(08:28):
guy that nobody really knew, and he's like, oh, no,
hold on a second, I got my CDs receipts and
boom put it out there, and he did not go
quietly into the night.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
So I'm really gonna be interested to see how this
plays out. By the way, the trial is not un
till next year.

Speaker 5 (08:42):
Yeah, so this is in definitely the last we've heard
more Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 1 (08:47):

Speaker 7 (10:20):

Speaker 4 (10:26):
Oscar de la Hoya, Yeah, he is fifty two.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Looking great with all his recent laser treatments and.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
No sham, looking like Freddy Krueger in the last one.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Oh yeah, yeah, I need to do that, not him.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
Oscar is fifty fifty two, is correct? You both get it.
Oh you said fifty two.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
See I don't list you when you talk about Alice Cooper.
He's a tongue.

Speaker 7 (10:50):
Guy.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
No, No, that's Gene Simmons.

Speaker 7 (10:53):
Alice Cooper looks like a version of Gene Simmons that
was left in the rain.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
Got it? He is seventy five.

Speaker 7 (11:05):
Alice got to be eighty seventy seven and former Vice
President of the United States under George Bush Senior.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
Dan Quail Quail's got to be seventy.

Speaker 3 (11:18):

Speaker 2 (11:51):
All right, time to get weird, Mario Courtney Lopez here
putting a spotlight on my wife for a random thought.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
What you got, honey?

Speaker 3 (11:57):
It's always time to get weird. It not being a
baby must be hard. Imagine your ankle is itching and
your mom just puts a pacifier in your mouth.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Wow, that's a really good point right there.

Speaker 6 (12:11):
Yeah, what do you do? How do you how do
you call it?

Speaker 4 (12:14):
There's a baby? You can't say what it is?

Speaker 2 (12:16):
You have that brand new skin, though, I doubt you're itchy. Well,
I like in the buttocks area because.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Of because theirs new skin is reacting to all the
different things in the air, so you know they're safe
in the womb.

Speaker 6 (12:29):
That's tough. That's tough.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Shout out to the babies, Jeryl Maril, Courtney Lopez And
what were you just about?

Speaker 6 (12:36):
The ask Frasier.

Speaker 7 (12:37):
Have you watched any of the OJ stuff that popped
up the new Manhunt OJ doc on Netflix.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
I refuse to, And I was gonna tell you, honey
that we cannot get sucked in because come on, I
feel like it's a Ponzi scheme. At this point, we've
seen so many docks scripted shows, all this stuff about them.
What could we possibly learn? But then my buddy and
the pot cast, Steve cam and even Fraser said that
they saw the first episode and it's good, So dang it.

Speaker 6 (13:05):
I'm gonna get something.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
What are we man hunting?

Speaker 4 (13:07):
He's well, yeah, so here's the thing. They kind of
take you through all of it.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Again.

Speaker 7 (13:11):
A lot of it is from the perspective of the
law enforcement, the detectives.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
And the people who are really standpoint.

Speaker 7 (13:17):
And they present a lot of information and evidence that
was never brought to trial. There's there's some witnesses. I
was against this last week when we mentioned it in
the new on TV and streaming stuff.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
And then I got hooked into it and I couldn't
stop watching it. There's like four episodes. I'm halfway through it.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
It's on the nightstand.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
You're down, Really, I'm surprised.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
What should I watch it by myself? Give me the
go ahead on?

Speaker 4 (13:39):
Oh, give her the permission?

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Well, see how quickly I want to see it?

Speaker 4 (13:44):
Okay, fine, I'm asking you.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Well, we got to watch Scamanda first, and then I
wanted to see Chasing Lightning, about the UFC fighter that
pulled off the biggest bank robbery.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Right, why do you.

Speaker 7 (13:56):
Do this when you just watch just just watched the
first episode and then you don't have to finish it
if you don't.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Want to, Well, no, because then I'm going to be intrigued.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
I don't want to finish it.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Mario Lopez will be right.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Back a mariok Courtney Lopez got a bit of food
buzz for Oreo fans Subway taking things to the next
level introducing.

Speaker 6 (14:14):
The foot long Oreo Cookie.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Can you believe that after the success of their giant
chocolate chip cookie, they've doubled down with a warm, melti
Oreo packed masterpiece. We're talking chocolate chip cookie, dough, Oreo pieces,
vanilla cream, all baked together in a foot long treat,
but only for a limited time.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
It seems like too much baked.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Oreos are some of my favorite things in the world,
So I don't know.

Mark Roney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
New tradition for the Lopez is the annual Polar Plunge
that goes down to Manhattan Beach with the La Dodgers.
This is our second or third year.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
How many?

Speaker 6 (15:14):
How many times have we done this?

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Any polar plunge is the second year. The year before
the first year was the Top Golf.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
That's right, I see, I'm not crazy. We did do
another one.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
Okay, that's a very different event in than the polar correct.

Speaker 6 (15:26):
Correct, it is three years.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
One year we did Top Golf and then Chris Taylor
from the Dodgers decided to do a Polar plunge here
in Manhattan Beach. Yeah, I plunged in. You were with
our daughter in a cheerleading competition.

Speaker 6 (15:37):
Didn't join this year, and I.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Have joined if I was.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
That's right, that's right.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
What it cheered you on from the sad.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
You hosted with me right now, I would have cheered
you on from the sound exactly.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
It's fun.

Speaker 6 (15:48):
It's fun.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
You go in there, you feel and to see the
Dodger players all like giddy and just to kind of
get in there. The water, of course is cold. But
what was crazy is the waves were big this time.
So Mookie thought he wasn't gonna get taken in that
ended up getting up and all these people were sort
of wiping out. My buddy got soap trying to shoot
me on the phone. And it's all to raise money

(16:11):
for good cause. The money went to the La Fire
Department this year, which I awesome thing.

Speaker 5 (16:16):
You So it was really.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Nice, but it was a lot of fun. It was
a lot of fun. I look forward to doing it
again next year. But every year I always have to
hustle to go to our son, Nico's wrestling tournament.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Yeah more Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
Mark Courtney Lopez was some quick buzz Saturday Night Live

Speaker 6 (17:17):
You're on Mario Lopez. Time for one last thing.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
Busy weekend over at Costa Lopez down in Palm Springs,
our daughter Gio is competing in a huge cheerleading competition, which.

Speaker 4 (17:29):
I had never been to one before.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
I've seen her perform in different showcases, but man, these
things are next level. When people come from all over
the country, it is intense in its hyped for hours
on end, and it was very impressive. They're very athletic,
and I thought you had did a great job. But
that's a world I just was not aware of.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
It is a crazy world. I mean, people drive from
other states in RVs and post up around the convention
center or wherever the competition is being held, and they
just live in that RV for the few days that
they're there.

Speaker 7 (18:05):
Did you tell me that the awards were like at
eleven pm on Sunday?

Speaker 4 (18:08):
Oh my gosh, we.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
Were up at five thirty am to be at her
first call time and yesterday her finished time her awards
assembly was eleven PM.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
That's unbelievable. So they don't care.

Speaker 6 (18:22):
These kids got to go.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
To skid Sorry, you're going to school tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
Yeah, there were babies last night at eleven thirty, just
up running around. I left the boys at home because
I'm didn't want to deal with them.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
But well, one of them had a wrestling tournament.

Speaker 6 (18:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Yeah, those girls are really athletic. And yeah, dominic our
son made me really proud. He did really well at
his wrestling tournament. So yeah, it was very busy running around.
I went from Palm Springs to Manhattan Beach to West Covina.

Speaker 4 (18:49):
That I was at racked though some miles yesterday.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
That poor Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 6 (18:55):
All right, that's it, thanks for hanging out.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
More fun Tomorrow, David Schwimmer will be shwimming here to
