rather tap, virtual dogs to support real world rescue Animals,

(01:01):
super Sell, the company which owns Heyday. We'll make donations
to money Pause Rescue in New York. I know it's
so cute in New York to pay for food, vet
care and foster kits. Heyday also raised two hundred thousand
meals for families in need in November through a United
Nations fundraiser by challenging players to hunt virtual ghost during
their Heyday Harvest events.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Sixty she's fifty one, fifty one, Okay, you guys.

Speaker 5 (03:17):
She met in the middle of what you guys. I
know she was like I thought she was older. Well,
I thought that she.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Was in her eighties, and I thought she was like
thirty years younger. So I was doing math.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
Yeah, it was bad math because she's an eighty and
that's twenty not thirty. But okay. Bill Pullman from Independence
Day a Dancer, the best movie President ever. Bill Pullman
also was that another show he was in. It was
really good. He played a detective. He came in here

Wow.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (04:04):
Eugene Levy Levy Levy from Creek from Best in Show,
from all those amazing movies.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
I believe it is Levy. He's very funny. Hilarious along
with his son.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
He has a travel show on Apple TV too, which
is pretty funny.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
That about him hated he hates traveling, and he's traveling
the world in this show.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
That's funny, it's really interesting.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
I'm gonna say, Eugene is seventy four.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
He's not the Levy that broke Katrina, but he is
pre and he is seventy four.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
I just said seventy four.

Speaker 7 (04:41):
Oh, seventy three, he's seventy nine. I'm not even gonna
address any of the other stuff he said. And finally,
Ernie Hudson from Ghostbusters and Oz and so many amazing.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Things incredible shape. Yeah, he Hudson, and.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
That's why this age is even more incredible.

Speaker 4 (04:56):

Speaker 5 (04:58):
Eighty is correct.

Speaker 1 (05:00):

You're all Mario Courtney Lopez. A few more songs. I'm
going to serve up some fresh justice in Quartos Core.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Gonna dive into today's case shortly, but wanted to quickly
mention that if you find yourself in the middle of
a dispute word situation, or you just need some good advice,
slide into our DMS over on ig at On with
Mario Lopez and maybe Judge Quarto can help you out.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
All right, hang tight.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Back with Quartos court in tens. You're a Mario Courtney Lopez.
Time to serve up some fresh justice. All rise and
welcome to the honorableish judge Coordinate Cordo Lopez.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
It is time for Cordo's court.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
It's not honorable. I'm just honorable blellish.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
Sometimes you have some shady hacks and stuff, so yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Ish, all right, I'm the shady judge. I don't care.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
I'm gonna live the courtroom Fario's case comes from Kelly
in Massachusetts. I dread the holiday, she says nowadays because
my mom. I'm married, I have three kids on my own.
But now my mother tries to take.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
Over the holidays.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
She wants everyone to do what she wants to do
as far as holiday events, get togethers, in more. If
we don't, she causes drama and ruins the vibes for
the family. I love her, of course, but how do
you go about setting some boundaries.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
That's hard because it's your mama. And I know somebody
who has a mom like that, and I will never
be a mom like that. I'm gonna go with the
flow type of mom. You know, I got you gotta
put your foot down. You are married, now, you have
three kids. You want to start your own traditions. Maybe
you do one of the things she wants to make. Compromise,

(06:59):
a nice little compromise. But you don't have to do everything.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
You don't.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
But at the same time, she's your mom. If she
was anyone else'd be I think a little different. I
think you have a little conversation with her. You try
to compromise, but I'm not I'd roll with it. You're
only going to have your mom for you know, here
for so long, so you gotta appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
And there will be one day where she's gone that
you wish you could do some of those.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Wow, exactly, you all make me sound exactly.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
It's heartless, we said, honorable wish.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
The countdown at Christmas continues in moments This is On

Ariana gave some insight into the tour and hinted that
her future is going to look different once she wraps

Megan Trainer back to talk holiday plants, Christmas music and more.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
When Megan joins us next a Mario Lopez joining me
right now on Zoom. One of our favorites. My girl,
Megan Trainer, how are you? I'm so good.

Speaker 8 (09:59):
How are you?

Speaker 4 (10:00):
I'm doing great. I'm doing great.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
I mean, you really have this amazing body work when
it comes to Christmas songs. And last year you teamed
up with the iconic earth Wind and Fire on Holiday
and before that with Jimmy Fallon on Wrap Me Up.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
This year you're solo on Gifts for Me. Tell me
about that one.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
Gifts for Me?

Speaker 6 (10:16):
Yes, I seemed that I worked with Emily Bear, who
is an incredible musician, friend, songwriter, She's everything. Please go
look her up. If you don't know Emily Bear, look
of Emily Bear. She was like, basically, gosh, how do
I call this? Quincy Jones was her mentor, so she yeah,

(10:36):
she was on The Ellen Show when she was like six,
so she was a prodigy. She's crazy, she's brilliant, and
so she produced my entire Christmas album that will eventually
come out, we just don't know when. But for this
first single, Gifts for Me, I'm just so excited for
everyone to hear. We got like a hundred piece orchestra
playing everything that came out of her brain, so it is.

Speaker 8 (10:55):
All real players.

Speaker 6 (10:56):
The flute player played on Ron Burr's part on Anchorman
nice you know, iconic sceeness. So that was like the
highest coolest thing that's ever happened in my career. But me,
it was like a beautiful pop song. I wrote with
Emily and Cole our good friend, about how my truth
of like one year, my husband just like flopped like

(11:17):
he did not he did not get a good gift like.

Speaker 8 (11:20):
He always does. So I was like, what happened? It's
like I'm gonna have to buy myself a gift this year.

Speaker 6 (11:25):
But and now I just.

Speaker 8 (11:27):
Joke with him all the time, and now he feels
extra pressure.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
All right, Hay tight quick break. When to come back
with some warming and training.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Happy holadays to you and yours. This is on with
Mario Lopez.

Speaker 5 (11:36):
Won'll be right.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Back catching up with Megan Train or the salary on
Mario Lopez and we were just talking about some of
your Christmas collabs. You do have many great collabs. Is
there someone that you you'd really love.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
To collab with that you haven't had an opportunity too yet?

Speaker 6 (11:51):
Oh, so many people. I love collaborating with everyone. I'm
just the biggest fans of so many people. Miley Saarrus,
Miley Sarus, while you're watching this, consider me as a
friend and as a collaborator.

Speaker 8 (12:02):
I think we would be awesome on a song together.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
I like that I would. Yeah, I think that'd worked too.
All Right, Hank time, I'm going to play a little
more music. I'm going to talk more with mega.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Al Maria Lopez, catching up with Megan Trainer this hour
and getting back to collaborating. I know when you write,
you write songs for yourself and others as well, And
can you compare the process of writing for yourself versus
writing for other people, or sometimes you're just writing and
then you decide maybe later on whether it's for you
or someone else.

Speaker 6 (12:27):
Right, Yeah, sometimes it happens so randomly, but sometimes I
do go in the studio. I went in with Mimi
Web recently before we started writing for this for my
new pop album. But like with Mimi, I sat with
her and was like, what do you want to say?
Because usually you write pop songs and it gets cut
by other people and you never even meet them. So

(12:48):
this was like an amazing opportunity of rock out to
be like, what's going on in your life? What are
you feeling? And then I took that and we wrote
an awesome song together. But it's always different in mirandom,
and usually my mom is the reason why I get
a lot of my outside cuts or when old songs
have opportunities to live again. Like the song Criminals, it's
all because my mom was like, this TV show's coming out,

(13:10):
perfect couple, you have to have the theme song.

Speaker 8 (13:12):
It's about murder and criminals. It's gonna be awesome. And
I was like okay, and she manifested that made it
come true.

Speaker 4 (13:18):
That's awesome, right, hang tight more than Megan coming out
the first one. Getting back to Megan.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
Trainer who's hanging out on zoom with us A Sario
Mario Lopez. I know you did the Timeless tour last summer.
Is there is there another tour possibly coming zoon?

Speaker 8 (13:33):
Yeah, and I love to talk about it.

Speaker 4 (13:34):
Yes, yep.

Speaker 6 (13:35):
My four year old son Riley said his favorite part
of life is adventures and traveling and he really wants
to tour again. So for Riley and for the fans
who showed up for the last Timeless tour, we're doing
it again.

Speaker 8 (13:48):
We're going yeah, and it's going to get crazier and
bigger and better.

Speaker 6 (13:53):
And I'm more like I kind of got a handle
on it now a little bit that one the time
of tour, me not touring for eight years, coming in
feeling brand new again. Yeah yeah, now, okay, I know
how tour feels again.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
Let's do it now, you're in the groove.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
I like it all right, Megan, Hey, time one more
thing I want to ask and we're going to take
a quick break and come back and wrap it up.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
Well, you're the full interview now at on with Mario
dot Com. Happy holidays from the entire On with Mario,
fam or fest and fun coming up.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Wrapping up with Megan Trey and Earl're on with Mario
Lopez before you go, what about the holidays?

Speaker 4 (14:25):
What do you getting into over the holidays?

Speaker 6 (14:28):
All my Christmas decorations are already up immediately the day
after Halloween. Yes, Loz too, Christmas now, and it's my
favorite holiday because we have all the birthdays coming up
and then we have Christmas and then all the extra
birthdays in January two. So it's like a lot of
birthday parties, a lot of cake, a lot of parties.

Speaker 4 (14:47):
That's that sounds awesome, sounds perfect.

Speaker 6 (14:49):
Well.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
Love to see you as always, you look amazing. Merry
Christmas to you and your family.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
Well, I don't know if that's a compliment.

Speaker 5 (15:50):
Sorry sarcis you know I mean well, I mean you

Speaker 4 (15:54):
Well now, but I take it as a compliment. You takeing.
A lot of the people don't. They take it as offensive.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
But I think, you know what, get us sense of humor.

Speaker 5 (16:03):
Yeah, I think it's a compliment because sarcasm typically is funny.

nineteen nineties Yes. Website Scary Mommy says, here's how you
can bring some of the old school traditions back.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
I love this and I actually do this all the time.
Gea likes it too. We go to the mall even
if you don't go shopping, go nineties mom by popping
into Bathom Bodyworks to smell the Christmas candles, wandering into
Barnes and Noble of course, and checking out the mall Santa.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
It's a really good holiday move.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
Uh, don't just buy everything, create it yourself. Back in
the day, we made ornaments with the kids. We made
remember Halloween costumes. Just make homemade treats for your neighbors.
I like it, dy and get dressed up for Christmas
Eve or Christmas Day. Your holiday dinner will see more
festive if everyone isn't in sweatpants. Do you remember we

(17:33):
used to pick out our Christmas outfits? Now I just
pick out my Christmas sweats.
