Comedian and Emmy's host Nate Bergatzi. He hosted the Emmys

Boys and Girls Club. However, the catch was that he
would deduct or ad money depending on the winners going
over or under their allotted speech time of forty five seconds.
At the end of the show. He partnered up with
CBS and they actually just gave them three hundred and
(00:56):
fifty thousand dollars total, no matter how long people went
with speeches or short.

So awesome to hear it.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
By the way, at one point it got down to

Boys and Girls Clubs of America holds a special place
in my heart because I grew up going and I'm
still very much involved. Shout out to my guy Frank Sanchez, who.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Does an awesome job over there.

moving to Paris after the wedding is called off, and
receiving monthly letters from Conrad.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
I'm glad Belly finally got it together. Yeah, well we'll see.
Speaker 4 (02:08):

Speaker 2 (02:18):
We've had Eddie in here.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
As we have as they attempt to take their global
sports promotion company, Mattroom to the next level and basically
warts and all. You're going to see all the drama
and the succession story between father and son.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
And not only are they huge boxing promoters, they're also
huge dart promoters, which sounds.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Like it's a joke, but no darts in the UK. No,
it's a huge thing. It is a big deal and
the arenas get filled. Yeah it's nuts.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
And also snooker events, which is basically billiards over here.
But he's a very smart, charming guy, very tall guy.
Very funny too, Eddie Hearn, Yes, very funny, but I
like that Father and son very cool.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
I'm gonna check that out.
Speaker 3 (03:00):

You're all Mario Lopez taking a look at the buzz
Because Hollywood has.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Lost another legend.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
This has been a tough tough year as far as
losing some greats. Academy Award winning director and actor Robert
Redford passed away this week at his home in Utah
at the age of eighty nine years old. He was
born right here in Santa Monica, California, in nineteen thirty six.
He won an Oscar in nineteen eighty one for directing
the film Ordinary People.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Of course, his acting.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
Credits are a mile Long which casting in The Sundance Kid,
All His Loss, Unfinished Mile, The Sting, Spy Game, Aim,
All The President's Men, Quiz Show, The Natural, and I
gotta say my personal favorite Jeremiah Johnson Okay, which sparked
the meme of when he turns with the beard and
he's just kind of yeah, smiling. That is a great
(04:15):
movie and it's a true story. And I like a
lot of his movies, but that was that's so underrated,
I thought. And he's also part of his legacy, which
is incredibly as important as that he founded the Sundance
Institute named after The Sundance Kid, and which Cassady Sundance
Kid back in nineteen eighty one, which is now turned
(04:36):
into a huge, huge event for independent.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Literally the year that Courtney and I were born.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Look at that more Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Mario Lopez got Michael Chicklet zooming in the next hour.
So I think we're gonna go ahead and celebrate today's
obscure holiday. What do we celebrate in Frasier.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
National Monte Cristo day Ooh, not to be confused with
the Count of Monte.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Christo, the Count, the Fried Battered dip Ham cheese sandwich
Monti Christo, Yes, which is probably four hundred thousand calories.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
But it is so tasty. He do it once a
year once he does not bad.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
You're all Mario Lopez a little more music than gonna
fire up zoom so we can chat with actor Michael Chickliss.
New movie out this weekend called The Senior, fascinating story
based on a true story. We're gonna get the scoop
on that and more when Michael joins us next.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
It's up.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
You're with Mario Lopez, Jody right now, any winning actor,
my man, Michael Chickliss.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
How you doing, Michael, I'm great, Maria, are you man?
Speaker 3 (05:32):
I'm doing well some times to see you. Your new
movie looks fascinating. It's called The Senior. It's based on
the true story of a guy who went back to
college and played college football at the age of fifty
nine after being expelled when he was younger.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
I remember this story. I'm so glad it's finally being
a movie.
Speaker 6 (05:48):
It's such a great story.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Man.
Speaker 6 (05:50):
When I read this, I was like, could this really be?
I mean, did this actually happen?
Speaker 1 (05:53):
In?
Speaker 6 (05:54):
Sure enough it did? And I listen, man, I played.
I was the captain of my football team in high school,
and I still have aches and pains from that experience.
I like, how did this guy do this? And meeting Mike,
I'm like, Okay, yeah, he did this. He's kind of
a He's a beast.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
It's unbelievable being how physical it is.
Speaker 6 (06:13):
Now.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
The guy who the film was based on, Mike Flint,
was actually on the set too, right.
Speaker 6 (06:19):
Yeah, And that was daunting because you know, I've done
some bio pictures in the past, and you know, the
idea of having the guy there, I was like, is
he going to be here every day?
Speaker 2 (06:30):
All right? Exactly?
Speaker 6 (06:31):
So at first there was daunting, But once I got
to know the guy, he's just lovely. It ended up
being an incredible tool that he was there because I
could turn around and go to him and say, hey, Mike,
you know when this was going on, what were you
going through at the time. I ended up using him
as a resource, you know what I mean. It was fantastic.
It was actually beneficial for me. And Eileen was great
(06:52):
to his wife, and they weren't like they were completely unobtrusive.
They didn't stick their nose in it. They were fast
by the process. They had never seen a film being made,
and they were all stricken by the amount of work
we do. Like they were blown away by the work
ethic in twelve and fourteen hour days. They had no idea.
(07:15):
You know, I think a lot of people out there
think we just live a glamorous life and go to parties,
and you know, they don't realize that we work. Are
those our tails off? And you know it's.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Hard work now, Absolutely most people are blown away when
they finally get the opportunity to kind of pass it firsthand.
Michael Hank Typer, We're going to take quick break and
come back with some more more.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
Getting back to Michael Chicklis, who's on Zoom Mario Lopez
here in a movie is the Senior based on the
true story of this guy Mike Flint, who went back
to college and played football at the age of fifty nine,
which is fascinating by the way, when he did decide
to go back and play at fifty nine, could he
still play?
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (07:58):
I mean, you know, you couldn't make a college team,
especially in West Texas, unless you could run with it.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Wow.
Speaker 6 (08:05):
The thing is Mike happened to be a strength trainer
and a coach for some major universities. So he always
used to say, I'm thirty days away from being in
field shape.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (08:17):
He always kept himself. He'd always put himself through adversity physically,
always so that when he decided to do this, he
was able to get himself tuned up so that when
he went into two days, he was ready for it.
Two days Man and August in Texas at fifty nine.
(08:37):
It hurts thinking about it absolutely. When I was making
this movie, we were playing football for twelve hours a day.
My eyebrows hurt. Everything hurt me, and and you don't
have the same recovery.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
You're brittle. You know, I will believe me. I know.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
That's why I love this movie and everything about it
is so inspiring, and the fact that it's true is
obviously even even better. Again, The Senior is out this weekend,
and hang tight, We're gonna more with Michael Chicklist coming up.
Almar Lopez Michael Chickli is hanging on Zoom talking about.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
A Zoom movie The Senior, and I relate to this guy.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
Because I too still participate in violent activities like boxing
and jiu jitsu and.
Speaker 6 (09:13):
Yeah, man, you know I listened, and that thing is
i've I'm an actor, I've. I was just coming off
of playing red er Box, so I was heavy and
you know, you're playing the guy in his early seventies.
And I had six weeks and I had to just
work my ass off to get there. I'm sorry. I
(09:34):
had to work as hard as I could to get
to get rid of it. And you know, I mean,
you know, so up and down and up and down.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
You know.
Speaker 6 (09:43):
So, by the way, no more of that now. If
anyone wants me to get heavy to use AI, I'm
not doing it.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
It is.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
It's tough, it's tough, and it's hard.
Speaker 6 (09:52):
At my age, I won't do it anymore. Just for
my own health. I don't want to do it anymore. Yeah,
you know, I'm staying down. I'm staying fit. Baby.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
Good for you, man, you look great.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
You look great, all right, hank Ty more than Michael
Chicklus on the way, But first, more music, catch it
up with after Michael Chicklus this hour, what a Mario
Lopez and really quick, I know you got another film
on the way with Liam Neeson and Marissa Tomey.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
The mongoose. That sounds cool.
Speaker 6 (10:16):
It's a fun you know, it's a it's a fun
action flick and it's really smart. Actually when I read it,
I was like, wow, there's Shakespeare references in this piece,
you know. And Liam is awesome. And Marissa Tomay and
I went to college together at Boston University.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Oh wow, that's good.
Speaker 6 (10:33):
Ween had never gotten a chance to work together.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
That's a fun.
Speaker 6 (10:35):
I love Melbourne, Australia. I love Australia period. You know
what I love about Australia The Australians. And do you
know why if you ask an Australian what do you
guys say when something goes wrong? The first thing they
say is malis might She'll be right? They are the
most can do people. They didn't. They're unflappable, like things
(11:00):
could be on fire and they're like, no orist, sheould
be right? They don't. They just don't panic. I love
just no panic in them, and so I really enjoy
that about them as a group.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
That's a great learned. I learned that in Crocodile Dundee.
That's all right, that's right. You came out with that
you should be right.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Yeah, let me say all right, one more thing I
want to ask, so hey, tag quick break and we're
gonna come back and wrap it up.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
You're the full interview now on with Mario dot Com.
More Mario Lopez on the way.
Speaker 3 (11:29):

cover of Cigar and Spirits magazine.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
I happen to have grace that cover myself. You got
a favorite cigar, Yes.
Speaker 6 (11:41):
I do. I love the my father Beju. It's a torpedo.
It's not for the faint of heart. It's a strong cigar,
but it's that last thing of the day, you know,
when you're when everything's quiet. Yeah, and uh, you know,
I just once in a while I like to have
me a nice strong cigar and a little scotch and.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
There you go. Likewise with a man of taste. I
love it.
Speaker 6 (12:07):
After all the hard work.

Shane says, my wife and I recently divorced after fifteen
years of marriage.

Sorry to hear that, Shane.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
We have two younger kids that we have split custody of.
We also have an eight year old dog that I love,
but somehow she ended up with a dog and has
no legal reason to let me see the dog. I've
asked her if the dog can come with our kids
when it's my days with the kids, but she refuses
to allow it. Should I give up on I ever
seen my dog or do you have any ideas?
Speaker 5 (13:37):
Interesting, Shane, I'm so sorry to hear this. Most importantly,
I'm sorry that you can't see your dog. You know,
it's a hard situation. Is she just doing that just
to get back at you? But you were really involved
in the dog's life. That makes me feel If it
(14:01):
was like my husband and didn't know where the food was,
of course I wouldn't send the dog.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
I know where the food is. I showed them when
I was at your house.
Speaker 5 (14:08):
So I get that.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
But if you were really really involved.
Speaker 5 (14:12):
Then I think it's you know, she's just doing it
to try and hurt you, So I think you should
just steal the dog.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Yeah, wow, I agree.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

A Mario Lopez New Personality time, Just drop the outrovert
otrovert sounds Spanish actually don't see themselves as introverts or extroverts.

Ultravert psychiatrists say.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
They could be social and even popular, but inside they
often feel out of place. Unlike introverts, they don't retreat
into themselves. Unlike extroverts, they don't get energy from being
part of a group. Researchers note that outroverts are often
emotionally independent in excel at keeping a distance while staying connected.
Now we're just making up stuff.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
You can I ask a question like who in their
life has time to really think about this and what
they are like.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
I like what Killian Murphy said recently, Romo relief. I'm

Speaker 3 (17:14):
He's well, that's exactly what I was just going to say.
I asked him what he had on as far as
his cologne, and he said, oh, it's this, it's that,
and he combined like two or three oils.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
Oh. I was like, dang, So he's smell maxing for
a while. Yeah, he's like a chemist. I'll tell you
what it works because it smelled really good. Opponents of
