Speaker 2 (00:27):
J' all Mario Courtney Lopez, keeping the music and fun
coming your way. After quick look at some of the
new things in TV and streaming.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
AMC Plus and Sundance have the premiere of Butcher's of La.
It's a true crime documentary series that explores the horrific
crimes of three serial killers dubbed the Freeway Killers, who
terrorized southern California in the nineteen seventies and eighties. When
I first started reading the title, I thought this was
going to be a cooking show.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Yeah, well it's a little It could be a cannibalistic one,
but that's not it.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
We'll be watching that. Peacock has a series premiere of
Nelly and Ashanti We Belong Together. They'll be on with
us later to break that down. That's cool, fun and
ABC has Highlights from CMA Fest. The three hour special
features highlights from the fifty second annual CMA Fest and Nashville,
including performances and collaborations from some of country's music's biggest stars.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Al Mario Courney Lopez the more music than we're going
to get a life pack from my wife, Courtney. Any
hint about what we're going to learn today.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
Honey, Well, the hint is it's a quick way to
cool yourself down as the temperatures rise.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
That's important. All right, a few more songs. We're gonna
come back with Cordo's Corner. All Mario Courtney Lopez making
a quick step into Cordo's Corner for today's live back,
which you got quarto.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
I guess I have no choice but to embrace.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
You had Cordo's Corner and you have Cordo's Court. The
both just the people want it. Why can't just be
Qurtz court courts court. That's true, that's true. But because
you committed to Quorto as you were.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
Okay, here I am. Well, here's a handy, handy dandy
trick that can help you quickly cool your body when
the heat gets to the best of you. I do
this when Mario walks near me because I just start
to get hot.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Well, because I'm like a I'm like a furnace literally
and figuratively.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
You'll hold down faster if you place something cold to
your pulse points. These pulse points are your body's cooling spots,
and they're a little like built in air conditioners, you know.
They include the major artery in your neck, which is
your juggler vein that's right behind your knee. Yes, call me,
doctor Cordo. And the side of your head above your
temples another one. And the thumb side of your wrist
(02:38):
is also a pressure point.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Yes, put some ice cubes and all those places. It'll
cool you down real quick.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
And look at this, We just birthed a new segment,
Doctor Cordo.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Doctor Cordo sounds like a spinoff.
Speaker 4 (02:51):

Mario Lopez joining me right now, Grammy Award winning artist
Nellie and a Shanty. What's up, guys, Good to see you, Hey,
you'd see you, Jim you been I've been good, man,
I've been good. I saw an interview recently, Nelly. It
was online or something, to talk about their era of
hip hop. How when you came out, how prominent and difficult.
(04:05):
It was with all the artists that were popping. I
was like, damn, he's right. That was wild back of
the day, because when everybody was popping it to get
a hit, it was even that much harder.
Speaker 5 (04:13):
Well, I didn't want people to some people took it
out of context, not saying that our hip hop was
the best. I was just saying at that time, you know,
it was at a time where hip hop was the
number one music on the planet.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Period.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
You were dealing with the jau rus and the DMX's
and the jay Z's and then the fifties and then
the Kanye's, and it was just it was brutal, man.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
It was man, nobody it was. It was the best.
It really was. That was like the golden are right there.
So no, I agree with you. That was my point.
All right, quick break, Then we're going to talk about
your new reality show, Hank tight More with Nelli and Ashanti.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
More Fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Getting back to Nelly and Shanti, who were on Zoom
with us this hour. Mario Lopez here, and I got
to say, it's nice to see all together right here.
It's funny because y'all had a bit of a wild ride,
a little bit as a couple. Right, you're dated back
in the day, got back together a couple years ago.
Now you're married, you had a baby. Congratulations. Sometimes sometimes
it takes the minute you gotta take a step back
to go forward. Huh, Absolutely all.
Speaker 5 (05:16):
The time, man, you know what I mean, there's nothing
wrong with that. A lot of times, you know, you
got to see what works for you. Like I like
to say, take the good with the bad. As long
as the good, our ways the bad, and for this situation,
it far as our ways the bad.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
Absolutely. Now cut to new reality show coming to Peacock
called Nelly and Aschante We Belong Together. I like the
title Winter fans gonna learn watching the series.
Speaker 6 (05:42):
I think fans are gonna just get a chance to
see us. Obviously, in a more personal note, just navigating
through life in real time. You know, I'm on tour,
he's on tour. We have the Big Kk's on tour,
you know, just juggling. We don't know where we're gonna
live yet. That's very real. So just making all these decisions,
you know, in real time, in real life and just
figuring it out like like regular.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
People love it Nellie is Shanty. We Belong Together streaming
out on Peacock. I'm more with them on the way
first one Music. Catching up with Nelly and Ashanti this hour.
You're on Mario Lopez the Reality Show over on Peacock,
and you were just mentioning that you don't know where
you're gonna live. I know, Nelly, you don't want to
live in New York right, not live. I have no
(06:24):
problem visiting. I love New York. Don't get that to it.
I'm with you, I love it, bro, I gotta go
a trying to live there either. I know, I know
exactly how you feel.
Speaker 6 (06:34):
I know what both of you guys are some paters.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Okay, where you where you're from?
Speaker 4 (06:39):
Originally?
Speaker 2 (06:40):
You know you're right where you're from originally Shanty, New York. No,
I know, Oh, from Strong Island. Okay, See, I like you.
I like that area. I guess if you're not from there, though,
you go there and it's like overwhelming, you know what
I mean. It's like a lie with everything, especially coming
to Saint Louis and all that. So did you haven't
pick a place in you haven't picked the location.
Speaker 5 (07:02):
I don't think it's ever going to be It probably
will never be one one like definite because I mean
we have obviously we have a home in Saint Louis.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
She's from here.
Speaker 5 (07:16):
I don't think she would ever uh totally.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Have something here in New York.
Speaker 5 (07:25):
I mean, you know, her family and a lot of
people that love her are here. But I think it's
you know, we spend so much time on the road, man,
and then you know, I'm always thinking about taxes.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
That's good, it's smart.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
All right.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
One more thing, I want to ask a few songs
when you come back and wrap it up. Rap it
up with Elli and Ashanti who were on Zoom Mario
Lopez here and no only you mentioned being on the
road and I know the where the potiad tours out
on the road all summer. You job rule Eve fabulous.
That's a fun show man. How they've been going so far,
It's been going great, man.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
We started out in Australia with a little bit of
a Saint Louis thing. We obviously went to Canada, went
to Europe and just starting here in the States and
in a couple of more weeks so it's been it's
been really really.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Dope, nice and in Chantanna you've been playing a bunch
of shows as well. How difficult is it right now
balancing I know you were talking to your baby right now,
you know, being a mom and playing the shows on
in the road. I'm assuming the baby comes along. Yeah,
he comes absolutely.
Speaker 6 (08:26):
I was just on tour in Europe myself and Sean Paul,
so bringing KK over there at first was a little scary,
you know, but we get it done.
Speaker 5 (08:35):
You know.
Speaker 6 (08:35):
There were a couple of nights that I had to
kind of pump the milk, give the milk to the driver,
send it back to the hotel with nanny.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Yeah, you know.
Speaker 6 (08:42):
So it's just about multitasking and getting it done.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
You gotta do what you gotta deal.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Well.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
I love seeing y' all together, and congratulations on the show.
Everyone listen, be sure to catch a reality show Nelly
and Ashanti We Belong Together, available right now on Peacock.

care of it, Okay, I'll see you're The full.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Interview now on with Mario dot Com. More Mario Lopez
on the way.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
What about Mario Courtney Lopez here? Keep the music going
as we also like to make it a little weird
with Cordo's random thotto, We're just add to everything what
you got, Quarto.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
So feeling a crunch and a non crunchy food is
one of the most terrifying experiences you can like have.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Okay, not only that. When I do feel it, I
immediately check my teeth because I think I've chipped a
tooth and that happened.
Speaker 4 (09:37):
I don't go there, No, I go the other route,
which is, what did I just bite in?
Speaker 2 (09:40):
What the heck is it?
Speaker 4 (09:41):
What is this that's not supposed to be here too.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
Late at that point. It's just because you know what
I mean, because I I eat and I probably swallowed it.
But I'm like, oh did I did I chip it?
Speaker 6 (09:49):
Two?
Speaker 4 (09:49):
No?
Speaker 2 (09:49):
You swallowed it?
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Oh yeah, I'm not gonna I don't know all that
immediately coming out.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
If I can stop it before I swallowed it, then yes,
But if not, I'm like, what the heck, I'll just
checked my teeth because I chipped my tooth.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Yeah, a few.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
Times on different things. A cherry pit, okay, a bone,
just random things. Bone, yeah, bone, the dog dog bone,
So no, no, I won't. But the cherry pit. One
would think that's kind of hard. To do right.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
I mean, I'm kind of shocked to you with your
chip your tooth on that, but totally.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
Chip my tooth. The best Dentnis met me in the
middle of the night to hook it up.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
That laid it out to her doctor sar mechanic to
get a kiss on the forehead in the middle of
the night.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
So if reports are true, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom
have called it quits after nine years together. They first
got together back in twenty sixteen, and then they got
engaged in twenty nineteen. They had reportedly been on the
Rocks for a while now, with sources citing Katie's world tour,
the mixed reception of her album Her Little Trip into
(11:37):
Space and Time is don't bring space into this space had.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
Nothing to that's not for space.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
They were on the Moon Rocks when this happened.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
No, that's seriously kNs. He was opposed to it, and
I think all these other factors just sort of well
factored in.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
I think she just said I needed space and he misunderstand.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Wow, And I like Katy Perry.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
I've got an Shema center.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
So she's the one who went yes, I love Katie Perry.
I've gotten to work with her and in uh interviewed
or a bunch of robot theyears. She's a sweetheart, very
very nice and rough year for all these things that
I just listed, the album, the controversy with her going
to space, and now this poor thing, and she also
has a baby, I'm going to say this isn't true. Really,
(12:18):
I'm going to say this isn't true.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
I really feel like this is just one of those
things that one person said something and a million people
ran with it.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
Well, well, I believe it. Let's hope that's the case,
and maybe they'll put out of statements.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Well, if they're at Basos and Sanchez wedding, that's it.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
Oh, that's a good point. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
More Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
Oh, Mario Portney Lopez quickly squeezing in today's led Birthdays
as always, Fraser's got the list and we're gonna try
to guess the agentes. What do we got?
Speaker 4 (12:46):
Arianna Grande who is Wicked or sorry, was in Wicked?
Speaker 2 (12:51):
Ariana is Grande now because she's hitting the thirty second level.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
Thirty two is correct. Oh, from Parks of Recreation Aubrey
Plaza thirty eight.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Forty one, forty one is correct.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
I am nailing it from Moonlight Kingdom, but more importantly
from Rushmore, which is one of the greatest movies. Jason
Schwartzman Jason Schwartzman, son of Talia Schier. That Adrian on
Rocky love this dude. He forty six, fifty forty five.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
I was at forty five two was forty by mad
because I would have been three in a row.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
He has the Midas touch. He's the lead singer of
One Republican. He told us once on this show that
Mario Lopez the Beach season of Saved by the Bell
is part of the reason he moved to La It
was his inspiration. Ryan Tedder all the.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Wonderful music you owe to me?
Speaker 3 (13:44):
Then Masie, Yeah, I'm seriously because he's incredible. Ryan is
crying because he's hitting to the forty fifth level.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
Forty eight, forty six.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
Ah ah, that was wrong.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
And finally he played Robin and Batman and Robin Crystal Donald.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Crystal Donald's got to be fifty four.
Speaker 4 (14:08):

Your Heart. Oh I Want to know who they're talking about. Okay,
and the latest son Katie Perry and Orlando Blooms reported
a legged split.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Here a few more songs, and we're
gonna ask a random question. So when don't we go
ahead and recognize today's obecure holiday? What do we sell it? Ready? Today?
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Quardo?
Speaker 3 (15:01):
It is a National handshake Day, so a lot of.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
People, unfortunately, don't want to shake hands any longer. Garms, COVID,
all that stuff. They do the depth, which I'm fine with,
but I just still feel I'm old school. I still
like to shake a good hand, and I always feel
that if I'm gonna catch anything, it's just it's just
you're gonna catch a case. It's just going to strengthen
my immune system. When I go do like these comic
(15:26):
cons and stuff, everybody does the fifth stab, I shake
everyone's hand.
Speaker 4 (15:29):
I'll touching the person right, I.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Shake their hands, and I think that goes a long way,
and I think they they mentioned, hey, you know what.
I appreciate that. So I'm going to continue with the handshakes. However,
Oh when I do, boy, am I disappointed when it's
a clammy hand. Oh, that's the.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
Worst, the worst, the worst, real quick though you can
it may not be the worst, worst, but you can
tell a lot by someone by their handshake.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Absolutely, clammy hands are the worst. But I'm gonna tell
you what's even more disgusting. I saw the dude's hand
too for a while. My guy had a scaly hand.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Oh, it was like feeling It's like a reptile.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
Kind of thing. It was like the skin was like
skinny and ambiasis.
Speaker 4 (16:09):
How far away did you see the hand coming?
Speaker 2 (16:12):
Because he kind of, you know, he won one of
these moves. He kind of raised the hand, oh, and
kind of went in like that's why you go in
for the dam. I was gonna go.
Speaker 4 (16:18):
For the dab, but I already he's already seen, and
he's already probably seen you shaking everyone's hand exactly exactly.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
But my plate yourself immediately gave me sanitizer right after.
But I just could not get it out of the ball.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
I could be thinking about that texture all day.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
Oh Omar Courtney Lopez put a spotlight on my wife
because it's time for Corney's random question. What you got?
Speaker 3 (16:40):
So let's take it back for a minute. You wake
up in ninety three, nineteen ninety three. No Internet, no
Wi Fi, no cell phones, just the simple things. What
is the first thing you do?
Speaker 2 (16:53):
I put on the chronic because that's when that dropped
in my Mustang five point zero, drop my top, bunk
the tunes, and go about my day.
Speaker 4 (17:03):
Oh God, Actually, yeah, I would be watching you and
saved by the bell, probably eating Count chocola Dang exactly more.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Mario Lopez on the way.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Oh Mario Courtney Lopez. Little heads up. If you plan
to travel over the Fourth of July holiday, A record
number of people are going to be hitting the road.
Triple A estimates over seventy two million Americans going to
be going out of town for the Fourth of July week.
With gas prices the lowest since twenty twenty one, nice
more are opting for road trips, making the two busiest
days on the road Wednesday, July second and Sunday July sixth.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
Here's the thing, every holiday that comes around again, that
is always the next record breaking travel.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
They always claims. Even if they just this is going
to be the way, even if they just add zero
point five percent, they always increase it.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Yeah, No matter what come Thanksgiving, it's always the busiest
day of the year before. What out Moro, Courtney Lopez
your quicker mind that if you never want to miss
any of our fun here on the radio show, you

Speaker 2 (18:23):
So byl Moro on Courtney Lopez. Time for one last thing,
Porto and I recently saw this documentary called train Wreck
astral World, and it was about Travis Scott's festival that
he does in his hometown of Houston, Texas. And oh
it was heartbreaking and so depressing and sad to see.
(18:43):
And we saw it right before we went to bed too.
But I'll tell you one thing, it just seems like
nothing but a nightmare on caise. You're not familiar with
this incident twenty twenty one, a year after COVID, everyone
was locked down. They wanted to be outside, they wanted
to party. All these kids down in Houston wanted to
go see Travis Scott and Live Nation ended up selling
fifty thousand tickets, but it was only really allotted for
(19:05):
about thirty and then a bunch of people just sort
of stormed. Yeah. People kind of broke in, right, kind
they totally broke in. Yeah, So we don't know how
many there was. I mean it was like Mayhem Mayhem
and it was just chaos, and there was footage and
they literally got trampled to death ten deaths, not to
mention multiple people in critical condition and just severely injured.
(19:26):
I was like, wow, and you can't put your finger
on one individual, and nobody was found guilty as far
as a solo individual, but so many other people took
claims and then they all settled out of court. But man,
it was a really scary thing.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
Is it just one episode.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
It's one episode is about an hour and a half,
and I think it's pretty alarming and parents may want
to check it out. Kids may want to check it
out too. We made our daughter watch it.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
I did because I think it's important for her to
see because now she's at the age where she wants
to go everywhere and she has no fear and I
am that mom who wants her to fear because she
needs to know what's out there.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
She needs to have awareness. So you have situations and
what could happen.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
Yeah, so it was. It's pretty It's worth the watch.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
We'll be right back with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
That's it for us. Thanks for hanging out with us
as always. Also big thanks to Nelly and Ashanti for
joining us almar dot com to relive my full chat
with them.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
We'll be back to do it again tomorrow. She like
will be here until then. Mario and Courtney Lopez saying
good night from Cordo.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
We're gonna do it Tomrio with Mario Lopez
