Speaker 4 (00:33):
Leslie Trundy. She is a main high school counselor, and
when students at her school were breaking roles they were
skipping class, talking back to teachers using their phones when
they weren't supposed to, they got detention, meaning they would
sit in a classroom for a few hours after school
staring at a wall.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
She had a better idea.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
She's also an avid hiker, so she was excited to
offer students who got detention an option to go hiking instead.
The idea is turned discipline into something positive, helping teens reflect,
build resilience, and connect with nature. Teachers say it's working too.
Students open up more, and some even start hiking on
their own.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
That is so cool, all.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
Right, Leslie Trundy over in Maine. Good for Trundy.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

society's judgments and her very powerful father in law.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
This one is from bridget in New Orleans. A bit
of a weird situation at work. A new girl started
in the department. Next to mine about six months ago.
Over time, I started to notice that she began to
wear the exact same outfits I was wearing. If I
wear something new, within two weeks she pops up wearing it.
The weirdest part is we've never even really talks, just
exchange pleasantries as we pass in the office.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
What do I do because I'm weird it out? Ah Bridget,
that's the ultimate compliment. You are influencing people. You're an
influencer literally and you don't even know her. That is
big time right there. You just keep doing you and
I would go out of my way to maybe just
say hi. You'd probably make her day. She obviously thinks
you're super cool, so I wouldn't take this any other
(03:27):
way then that it's flattering.
