think for me, it's to my love life on track.

There are a lot of portions of my life that
are pretty solid. I have a good family, great friends,
and the one thing I don't have is a romantic partner.

should be open to everything. That's a good attitude that there.

So I'm gonna try to keep that up as long

as I can. So congrats season three a shooter. I've
heard a lot of good things about the show. You've
got great people on the cast too, and great people
behind it. Where is everyone as we get back into it? Uh,
this season picks up. It's we pick right up from
the end of season two. So you know, the end
of season two, um Bobbly had just gotten kidnapped by
solids off and he's been shot at something like that.

So it picks right back up, got it? You know,
So we're just on on the mission and my character
last season he basically lost everything that he loved. So
this season he's just out for vengeance. And you also
got a new movie Traffic, A couple of girls I
really like Paula Patton and Rosalind Sanchez. And this is
this is more of a straight up thriller, right, yeah, yeah,

that was a straight up thriller that was kind of
based around true events and um I described it as
it's kind of like three movies in one. It starts
out as like this romance that turns into a intense
suspense thriller that then turns into a horror movie because
it's it's you know, the backdrop of the film is
human trafficking right which is a real deal. Happens right now. Well,

thank you brother. Um what inspired me was I had
a moment with my son a few years back that
caused me to reflect on my life and and I
saw it to question it had growing up fatherless somehow
crept into my fatherhood and so I just began this
exploration of self. Um that just came out in the
form of writing and and um, once I got like

towards the end, I realized, um man, this could possibly
be bigger than me. You know, this could possibly be
used as a tool for inspiration, uh, possibly even a
tool for guidance. So I'm really proud of it and
happy to get it out there to the people. Mar
Lo Pass chatting with Omar Apps about his new book,
From Fatherless to Fatherhood. So, how would you describe your

style of fatherhood? Oh? Man, my, you know, I think
of myself as a cool day like sometimes you know,
my kids are like that, and then other times they're
like dad, like yeah, you know, but we're pretty we
got a pretty creative household. But I will say this, like,
I'm very forthcoming with my kids, Like I'm not one
of those you know, I know it all and I

got it figured, you know, because I'll tell them all
the time. I'm like, hey, you know, even with the
age thing I just said, I'm like, look, I've never
been father of a nineteen year olds. I don't know.
I'm figuring this out just like you are. You know.

Actor Omar Epps, what's going on? Man? I was just
tripping out, how you look exactly the same since the
first time I've seen you, and I just keep all
his shape because it looks like Santa down here. Really,
are you having to paint a little little brush up here?
I'm not gonna lie. I'd be looking like Anderson Cooper seriously,
So I'm gonna try to keep that up as long

as I can. So congrats season three a shooter. I've
heard a lot of good things about the show. You've
got great people on the cast too, and great people
behind it. Where is everyone as we get back into it? Uh,
this season picks up. It's we pick right up from
the end of season two. So you know, the end
of season two, um Bobbly had just gotten kidnapped by
solids off and he's been shot at something like that.

So it picks right back up, got it? You know,
So we're just on on the mission and my character
last season he basically lost everything that he loved. So
this season he's just out for vengeance. And you also
got a new movie Traffic, A couple of girls I
really like Paula Patton and Rosalind Sanchez. And this is
this is more of a straight up thriller, right, yeah, yeah,

that was a straight up thriller that was kind of
based around true events and um I described it as
it's kind of like three movies in one. It starts
out as like this romance that turns into a intense
suspense thriller that then turns into a horror movie because
it's it's you know, the backdrop of the film is
human trafficking right which is a real deal. Happens right now. Well,

That's powerful title. What inspired you to write this? Yeah,

thank you brother. Um what inspired me was I had
a moment with my son a few years back that
caused me to reflect on my life and and I
saw it to question it had growing up fatherless somehow
crept into my fatherhood and so I just began this
exploration of self. Um that just came out in the
form of writing and and um, once I got like
(11:24):
towards the end, I realized, um man, this could possibly
be bigger than me. You know, this could possibly be
used as a tool for inspiration, uh, possibly even a
tool for guidance. So I'm really proud of it and
happy to get it out there to the people. Mar
Lo Pass chatting with Omar Apps about his new book,
From Fatherless to Fatherhood. So, how would you describe your
(11:45):
style of fatherhood? Oh? Man, my, you know, I think
of myself as a cool day like sometimes you know,
my kids are like that, and then other times they're
like dad, like yeah, you know, but we're pretty we
got a pretty creative household. But I will say this, like,
I'm very forthcoming with my kids, Like I'm not one
of those you know, I know it all and I
(12:08):
got it figured, you know, because I'll tell them all
the time. I'm like, hey, you know, even with the
age thing I just said, I'm like, look, I've never
been father of a nineteen year olds. I don't know.
I'm figuring this out just like you are. You know.
We worked through them together and Mary Lopez wrapping up
with Omar Epps and before I let you go, I'm

think my first celebrity crush was Her name was Tamara
Doobson and the the actress who played clear Patrick Jones. Yes, yeah,
I was obsessed with her. I just thought she was
so beautiful. I'm still a tribute on I need a Baker. Oh,
I need a Baker Houston like you know yeah, yeah,
time travel destination, Like you didn't go anywhere for like
a week. Wow, time travel. Yeah, let's let's maybe take

it back to like eighties six or something like that. Okay, oh,
you got a particular time. And the freshman year high
school just was a great time, just a great time
for me. And you're still in Brooklyn, still in Brooklyn,
freshman year high school, like going to high school performing
arts and I was just you know, yeah, like you know,
wept behind the ears and just like all in Yeah,
