did bring people back to the theater, So okay.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Second is last year's Inside Out Too at six hundred
and fifty million.

Speaker 5 (00:58):
That's unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
Did not see that one come?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
That's followed by Jurassic World back in twenty fifteen, then
Barbie Incredibles too, and The Lion King they all did
over five hundred million, so I'm not too shabby.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
They don't call them UFOs anymore. Remember there was their UAPs.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Now UAPs Now that's unidentified are arial phenomenon? Yes, wow
uap so this is for the old school UFO brigade
and let's not forget the government basically said, we don't
know what they are.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
They're in our skies. Good luck, there we go.

Speaker 6 (02:13):
You're on Mario and Cordo Lopez. Every week we love.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
To honor someone with a good deed Lopezy for something
they'd done help out the community.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
And it's time to do it again. Who's getting the
honor this week?

Speaker 7 (02:21):
Honey?

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Not you for calling me that name.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
So what name is that? I'm not even saying?

Speaker 6 (02:27):
Coo Cordo, Cordo Cordo.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
The honor is going to Chris Salvatore of Los Angeles.
He became friends with his eighty nine year old neighbor,
Norma Cook, who was diagnosed with leukemia and didn't have
the money to afford her medical bills. Chris not only
created a go fund Me and raised fifty thousand dollars
to help her out, but during Norma's final weeks, he
moved her and her cat into his home and provided

(02:53):
her constant support and care. Before Norma passed away, she
called Chris the grandson she never had. By the way
Chris still cares for her cat to this day.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Well, that's the nicest story I've ever heard. Chris Salvatore
should get the Lopezi of the Year.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Or Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 6 (03:11):
Here's the rolls on Mario Courtney Lopez. Here a few
more songs than the o G Karate Kid himself.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Ralph Machio is gonna be zooming into Tak Karate Kid Legends,
Cobra Kai and more so hang tight.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
That's right, wax on, wax off. Ralph was joining us
just after the top of the hour. In the meantime,
you got a request, drop it into our mentions on
Facebook or ex add on with Mario.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
It's eupy Mario Lopez joining me right now on zoom
from the new movie Karate Kid Legends.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
My man, mister Ralph Machio, how are you, Ralph?

Speaker 7 (03:38):
Let's up. I'm great. I'm great. It's like, you know,
being in the family room when I get to talk
to you.

Speaker 5 (03:43):
I love it.

Speaker 7 (03:44):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
I gotta say you were so cool and generous with
your time when I took two of my kids, my
daughter Ga my son Dominic to the Cobra Kai season
premiere it made their year. And my son has seen
the series all the seasons three times, my daughter. I mean,

(04:04):
you got a lot of fans of Casta Lopez. So
thank you again, your cool class ag brother.

Speaker 7 (04:10):
That was great. We were very excited to see you there. Man.
That was the kind of the finale premiere of all
sixty five episodes of that show that kind of kept
us company through a pandemic and became everybody's comfort food. Right.
And so to see your your fan your kids so well,
be so well behaved, respectful, it's like, you know, when

(04:32):
I see that, it's you know, it reminds me of
my upbringing. So kudos to you guys, and I'm pretty
cool for us.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
I appreciate it was very nice. I got to meet
your daughter too, that was very nice too.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
She was there a whole crew.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
And coming off the heels of the massive success of
Cobra Cal you're now starring in the sixth Karate Kid movie,
Karate Kid Legends.

Speaker 6 (04:52):
Ralph Hay Tight Little Music.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Then I'm going to come back and get the scoop
on the new installment Rove watcha dead back to Ralph Macio,
who's hanging out on Zoom Mario Lopez here now starring
in the sixth Karate Kid movie, Karate Kid Legends, which
we're planning on checking out this weekend too, because I've
been traveling.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
I told him to wait for me. How was it,
first of all, man working with Jackie Chan.

Speaker 7 (05:15):
Yeah, it's it's pretty And Jackie Chan's the legend of
in the stunt world, in the movie world, and he's
he's like the he's seventy one and he's the youngest
kid on the set. He just loves being there, you know.
It's really I pride myself on that as well. But
to see him at his age be the first one

(05:37):
there and the last to leave and hang the lights
if you need him, and to help the dolly get
the dolly. Guys like grabbing moving the camera and he
hits a bump. Jackie Legends jumps and grabs the back
end of the dolly. You know, he's that kind of spirit.
And I was a little nervous because you know, here's
a guy who's can do anything. Yeah, and so on

(05:58):
day one when I saw him tweak you shoulder a
little bit, there was a little bit of a comfort like, oh,
he's like the rest of them. He's yeah, exactly, he's human.
But it's great and a great a great father's day.
You know, coming up is the perfect kind of movie.
You know, the themes of mentorship, father son, you know,
single parenting, all those all those themes are are woven

(06:20):
into the Karate Kid fabric and and are laced throughout
this film as well. And the kid is really wonderful too,
Ben woan really fantastic.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Well, can't wait to check it out, man hat Ty Ralph,
We're going to take a break and come back with
some more Ralph.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 6 (06:38):
Oh, Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
I've got Ralph Machio on zoom talking Karate Kid legends.
And does the film weave in storyline from Cobra Kai?
Are they connected at all? Or does it standalone?

Speaker 7 (06:48):
There? There, it's in the same universe. There will be
some surprises in Easter Eggs, which I know you will love. Okay,
but it's it's not a continuation of Cobra Kai. It's
its own. I described it as his own ecosystem in
the Grand Universe, and it does. It is in the
same universe. It's just about three years later after the

(07:09):
events from that, you know, season finale premiere you went to.
It's so LaRusso My character is kind of landed in
a place kind of where I believed he would land,
especially after working everything out with Johnny Lawrence and then
becoming besties even though they butt heads, right, and so

(07:29):
he's become more more of a season since a more
Miagi if you will, I love.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
It all right, paint tight.

Speaker 6 (07:35):
We're gonna have more with Ralph coming up first, more music.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Mario Lopez Eric catching up with Ralph Macio this hour
and Ralph we were just talking about Cobra Kai. So
are you pleased with the way the series ended and
do you feel there's still yet more stories to tell
for Daniel LaRusso in the universe.

Speaker 7 (07:53):
Yeah, it's you know, I'm absolutely thrilled with how the
finale of Cobra Kai. I really think they did a
beautiful job of it feeling like a karate kid movie
seen through the lens of the Cobra Kai tonal fabric.
You know, fabric's the wrong word, but that kind of

(08:13):
it's through the lens of Cobra Kai. But it felt
like a karate Kid movie. You know, you felt like
all those the best around came through and Montages and
me and Johnny Lawrence and you're driving down Ventura Boulevard
and the forty seven Ford Convertible. It had all that
fans service, but it it really landed in a good

(08:34):
way and also thematically, Mario, it end in a way
where you have these two guys. You look at the
Cobra Guys series that could not get along. They were
the worst of enemies and at the end of it
became the best versions of themselves for the next generation.
And I think in that is a kind of message
for the world, you know what I mean, if you're different,

(08:55):
you could have your differences, but do for the greater
good of the next generation. And the movie Legends does
that as well. You know, it's really about you know,
overcoming all those obstacles and somehow good over evil and
and and being the best version of yourself. I think

(09:16):
there is a shortage of those kind of films for
all agents. Right.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
I thought it was just so smart the way they
approached it, and incredibly clever and well written, and you
guys were great in the performances.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
I was very pleased as a fan.

Speaker 6 (09:30):
All Right, a little more music. We're gonna come back
with some more.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Ralph, Ralph Machio hanging out on Zoom, Mario Lopez here.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
And Ralph the other day.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Uh, it was the forty fifth anniversary of the release
of I believe it was your very first.

Speaker 5 (09:43):
Movie, up the Up the Academy.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Yeah, Academy crazy you play you played Chuca.

Speaker 6 (09:50):
That's a great name.

Speaker 7 (09:52):
Who I mean, he was the son of a mob guy.
It was great. And Robert Downey Sr. Erected that Wow,
And Downey Downey was junior, was you know, fourteen on set. Wow,
and it was So that's where it's just amazing to
have this kind of Yeah, listen, forty five years and

(10:15):
so half a century, you know, I mean that was
my first, my first, my first movie, and uh, it's
it's it's pretty incredible too. You know when I saw that,
I saw that post, I almost put it up and
I just got sidetracked. But you know it's, uh, you
got to put it up.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (10:33):
Yeah, it's a good one. It's a good one.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
All right.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Well, one more thing I want to ask. Got to
take a quick break, and we're going to come back
and wrap it up.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
You're the full interview now on with Mario dot Com
more Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Wrap it up with Ralph Macho, who's hanging out on
zoom with us your own Mario Lopez and Ralph Last
thing because I loved that. I saw you on social media.
Somebody asked you something to think about peschi. Your pesci
impressure is really good.

Speaker 7 (10:56):
Yeah. I did a thing called last Meals the great
job of this guy, Josh. It's a really yeah, but
I had I did my you know my Yeah. I
mean it's it's I go through all my Italian co
stars and fortunately, yeah, I wound I wound up going
from Peshi to de Niro and then it became Chris

(11:16):
Walkin even without mounting.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Because you worked at DeNiro on stage, riding Cuban.

Speaker 7 (11:21):
On the stage and Cubero study veryver. That was a
big deal. Yeah, yeah, and I and I saw him recently.
We were at Francis Ford Coppola's American Film Institute Lifetime
Achievement event that's gonna hit TNT on the June eighteenth. Uh,
so I saw all those. Uh it's it's nice to
be associated with the narrative of someone like Francis Coppola.

(11:43):
So it was was super cool. I love it, man,
I love it.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Hey, brother, you know I'm a huge fan and thank
you so much for taking the time and hopefully we'll

Speaker 7 (12:06):
Take care, brother, Thank you.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Mario Courtney Lopez more music on the way. Paul wanted
to quickly mention this. I've heard of a lot of fears,
but this one is pretty out there.

Speaker 6 (12:30):
More you sect use phobia.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
It's an intense fear of ketchup. Oh and it's no
joke for some people. Literally just the side of ketchup
and send them into full panic mode. One woman says
it's like being held at gunpoint.

Speaker 5 (12:44):
She needs to chill.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
And I think our buddy Blanket suffers from moret you
sect eusephobia because ketchup is way too spicy for him
and he's always like, get that away from me.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
I don't want it near my food.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
It's funny because I'm actually picking on something right now
with ketchup.

Speaker 6 (13:00):
I've never heard of this.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
And I just looked at it and didn't have a reaction.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
And I'm frozen in fear.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Yes at all, Mario and Facebook and acts at all.
Mario Lopez on IG Mario Courtney Lopez, her questions comments,
whatever you got love hearing from you?

Speaker 4 (13:14):
What'd you find for us today?

Speaker 6 (13:15):
Hanging well?

Speaker 3 (13:16):
This is from at Tombo number five. I think adults
need summer vacations just like kids in school. Let's close
down all of our jobs for three months and play outside.
Can we please just go outside and play?

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Please?

Speaker 5 (13:33):
The play part is funny.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
We definitely need to go outside, get a little sun, relax,
a little bit, step away from the computers and tablets.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
The playing part, though, that is subjective.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Mario Lopez will be right back.

Speaker 6 (13:46):
All Mario Lopez, King of the Hill Fans all fired up.

Speaker 2 (13:49):

by a listener in Quarto's Court, All rise for Judge Cordo.

Speaker 5 (14:42):
Today's case comes from Sarah.

Speaker 4 (14:43):
Sarah Ferguson Sarah and South Carolina.

Speaker 6 (14:46):
That's right, the Duchess of South Carolina.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Yes, my boyfriend and I have been dating for nearly
two years now and everything is going really great. Besides
one thing. He refuses to let me meet his parents.
They do live a few states away, but he visits
him several times a year and has always and always
has an excuse on why I can't go with him.
He met my parents a bunch of times. But I
think it's weird. You think he's hiding something.

Speaker 5 (15:06):
Ps.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
I loved your blessing a Simpson case in ruling. Thank you, Courtney.

Speaker 5 (15:10):
Oh bad news.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
They actually named that kid Blesca Simpson.

Speaker 5 (15:13):
Sarah from South Carolina.

Speaker 4 (15:14):
Sounds very sweet, Blessica Blims Blimson. Sorry fly back, not
Jessica Simpson.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Ooh, two years, Sarah Ferguson. That is that's a long
time to not meet the parents. Something is up And Okay,
so they live out of town. So you make it
look if he really wanted to settle down with you
and you were the one, he would want his parents.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
To meet you.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
So I just find it. I met Mario's mom on
like our first date, and it was I thought that
was weird.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
Like he maybe and I'm not trying to find excuses,
but he may I don't want to say embarrassed. Maybe
dad's a little awe or you know what I mean, moms,
you know, I mean he might be a little.

Speaker 4 (15:52):
Reluctant because they might be a little different and she,
I mean they are in a different part of the country.
So yeah, so maybe, yeah, don't.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
You fall in love with someone then you like, come
on you.

Speaker 5 (16:04):
I agreed.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 5 (16:08):
Mario Courtney Lopez was some quick food buzz.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Twenty twenty five apparently the year of sweet Heat. McCormick
just dropped its Flavor of the Year for twenty twenty five.
This year, it's all about Achi Amarillo a south or
it would be Amio because it's a South American chili
pepper that brings a fruity kick with a heat level
close to cayu. Yeah, we've been on that sweet heat.

Speaker 7 (16:29):
That's right, McCormick.

Speaker 5 (16:33):
Ah, Mario Cordo Lopez.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Perfect for Way Back Wednesday and really shows just how
far technologies progress so quickly. On this day, forty eight
years ago, in nineteen seventy seven, Apple released the Apple
Too computer. It's crazy to think computers were around even
back then.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
Huh, yeah, because I thought that.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
I just remember in the nineties having an IBM.

Speaker 6 (16:55):
Yeah, Apple was not too many.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
It was very very expensive, so not too many people
had the It's just like not too many people had
mobile phones.

Speaker 5 (17:02):
Those are around to you, but not too many.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
I remember babysitting a family and they had a car
phone and I was like, yeah, that was next one.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
My gosh Alamaro and Courtney Lopez and our daughter Jia
is in studio again. And I have a bone to
pick with you, Gia. We've had this conversation and I
don't ask for much.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
You've gotten to the age. We've gotten to the age where.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
That's his saying every day, I don't ask much.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
In my house, I take care of everything, and all
I asked for once, all I asked for once in
a while.

Speaker 5 (17:40):
Every single weekend you with me and Mom defeed me.
That's it. No, let me just say this.

Speaker 8 (17:47):
If you are saying I don't ask for much every day,
you might be asking for too much.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
No, no, no, because.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
You say you don't ask for much, But the thing
is you don't. Okay, you don't ask for multiple different things.
You just ask for the same thing every day. Okay,
what is this you're asking for right now?

Speaker 2 (18:00):
I'm asking to do these TikTok videos because she is
trying to get to the age where she's or she
is at the age where it's apparently too she's too
cool for school. But what I'm trying to get her
to understand is I'm not just doing these for fun
a lot.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
It's it's it's sort of business.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
It's a whole nother revenue stream, to be quite honest,
because we've got these these companies that sponsor and stuff.
They want to see the family together, and you know,
you're my only daughter. I need to have you in
these things sometimes, can you work with me?

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Well, this is your only wife. Why did you do
it with her?

Speaker 7 (18:33):
Well?

Speaker 4 (18:34):
No, she was asked as well.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
She's also throwing up almost guys, Like I said, freeloaders, freeloaders.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Mario Lopez coming up? What up?

Speaker 5 (18:43):

(19:26):
twelve windiest cities on planet Earth.

Speaker 5 (19:29):
Kordo is gonna break it down.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
You really want me to pronounce these?

Speaker 4 (19:33):
Come on, give it a shot.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
Baku as Abarahanian.

Speaker 5 (19:37):
Abrush on Baku.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
There's correcting me.

Speaker 8 (19:41):
Just just I say it is where it is, and
you want to call it. If you want to call
her Kordo, you have to accept her pronunciation of the Plaistan,
kirkik Stan, kurzik Stan. And where did that? A nice Kazakhstan?

Speaker 3 (19:53):
Yes, that's from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
Was just there and can vouch for this. They're all
on the brink of having a tornado. And if it's
not a tornado, it's crazy.

Speaker 4 (20:03):
Windy Grues in France.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
I want to go back to Oklahoma City for a second.
They call Chicago the windy city. It should be Oklahoma.
We're gonna see Chicago's on this list.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
Oh yeah, Copenhagen, Denmark, Okay, Punta Arena's Chile.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
Oh, we're going all over the world.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
Saint John's Newfoundland, all right, Aberdeen, Scotland.

Speaker 4 (20:25):
Okay, Okay, shout out to my ancestors.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
Dodge City, Kansas.
