digging into the bus because Lady Gaga breaking records and

(00:24):
avoiding disaster. Down to Brazil.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
On with Mario. Hollywood buzz So.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Lady Gaga's free concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this
past Saturday drew a record breaking crowd, but was also
targeted by an alleged bomb plot, which thankfully was thwarted
by Brazilian police. I can't believe this. With the concert
drew an estimated two and a half million people, making
it the highest attended concert by a female artist in history.

(00:52):
If you're saying, okay, well, who's the highest male artist.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
You'd never guess.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
You never guessed. This was surprising. We looked it up
and it's actually Rod Stewart back in nineteen ninety four
on the same beach.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Yes, somewhere between three point five and four million people.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Unbelievable on New Year's Eve. On New Year's Eve. I'm
sure that did help anyway. Back to gad Got, two
individuals were arrested in connection with an alleged plot to
detonate a bomb at the concert. Authority said that the
group sought to radicalize and recruit teenagers to carry out
the attacks with explosives and Molotov cocktails. While Gogun her
team learned about the bomb threat from media reports after

(01:27):
the concert, and despite the threat, concert went on as
planned and without incident. Thank goodness.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
More Mario Lopez coming up music rolls on.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Mario Lopez here with Fraser, Who's got a quick look
at some of the stuff hitting TV and streaming.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
A and he has the season eight premiere of Neighborhood War,
showcasing the kindness and conflict between real life neighbors throughout
the US.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Listen from someone who's been on this show. No, well
in a neighborhood war, an unintentional neighborhood war. When they
say you can't pick your relatives or your neighbors. My goodness,
that is so so true. So when you have a
good neighbor, be nice to them because they are priceless.
That is true.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
An He also has the series premiere of Parent Wars.
Parent Wars dives into the chaos, conflicts, and comedy of
modern parenting.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Listen, modern parenting, I think equals gentle parenting and therein
lies the issue.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Netflix has the season two premiere of The Devil's Plan.
In a game of wit, strategy, and wisdom, rival contestants
clash over six nights and seven days to see who
will be crowned the ultimate victor.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Ooh, The Devil's Plan is a great title.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
And Hulu has a limited series premiere of Murder has
two Faces, Chandra Levy and Joyce Chang, two young women
tied to DC power circles, vanish and are found murdered.
Robin Roberts investigates if there's a serial killer at work.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Wow, it almost sounded like the premise for a TV show.
But this is real life, so it's a docu series
that should be interesting. Amar Lopez, keep it the music
in fun come in your way, as Frasier quickly tells
us what secure holiday we get to celebrate today? National
Teacher Day. Shout out miss landerth miss Landerith Well, I
want to give a shout out to my boy and

(03:09):
his lovely wife, Wade and Hope King. They do these
awesome teacher conferences called get Your Teach On, and they've
gone global. My wife and I have participated in a
few of them. We're gonna do a big one coming
up in Dallas, Texas. But they basically celebrate and honor
all these teachers and they get thousands of people at

(03:31):
their shows. Not only do they honor them, they go
over sort of like cool curriculum and essentially the way
you should be teaching and to get fired up about teaching.
And all these teachers leave invigorated and happy. It's such
a positive, wonderful thing. And they get great performances too,
the Jonas Brothers, Gavin de Graus, you've seen me up there, Phraser,
these pictures with all these different people, and I just

(03:52):
kind of you don't speak from the heart and try
to give my two cents, but shout out to them.
They're great people doing great things. Lopez time for.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
That's rank with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
All right, Frasier, what am I ranking?

Speaker 3 (04:06):
Well, since we were just talking about it being a
National Teacher Day and all that stuff. I thought we
would have you rank your mount rushmore of teachers from Bayside.
So here's you may not remember all of your teachers.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
I don't even get name for night teachers, obviously, no one.
Can I say one off the top.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Well, he's the principal, No, not the principal, Okay, my guy,
mister Tuttle, Mister Tuttle, Tuttle, he is the George Washington.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
I love that dude, all right. And then number two, yeah, gosh,
he might be number one too. Mister Dewey, mister Dewey,
mister Tuttle, you.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Remember more than I thought.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
That's all I remember, all right.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
So there's uh, mister Tuttle and mister Dewe are actually
next to each other on this list.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
And mister Testa Verdi.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
We had a mister Testaverdi, like named after Vinnie the quarterback.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
He was the mustachioed teacher who moonlights is a plumber
in his spare time.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
I do not remember.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
I don't remember him, but you had him. Doctor Mertz
was a scientist who came in and taught you guys chemistry. Okay,
Rod Belding. Mister Belding's brother coached briefly.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
I don't remember that.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
There's coach Sonsky, who I think was your football wrestling coach.
Wow okay, and missus Simpson. You didn't have miss Bliss.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
I didn't have Miss Bliss. That was before you, right,
I wasn't too, Mister Dewey, Mister Tuttle.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
And Missus Culpepper. She was the eccentric, poor sighted art
teacher who was always bumping and banging into things or
cited God bless her.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
More.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
I hosted a spinoff called Champions and she was on it.

Speaker 5 (07:28):
Oh okay, so, and then I went to the main
flagship you know, got it, but I was og.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
Man, think about it.

Speaker 5 (07:35):
You know when you look at Melbe, she's been in
one of the most famous groups, like the Beatles. You
know you're talking about someone who knows talent inside and out.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Yeah yeah, yeah, No, Mel's cool. Terry Hayk tight quick
break and going to come back with some more Terry Crews.

Speaker 1 (07:49):

Speaker 2 (07:52):
All Mario Lopez got Terry Crews on Zoom with me.
New season of AGT coming up, and hey, you're also
and everybody still hates Chris your boys, Chris Rock's dad Julius.
That's got to be fun, man, that's the best kind
of gig, right show.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
I how you want, man, Well, you know, to do
the live action and then to bring it back as
an animated show. You know years later. It's a dream, brother,
keep the thing going. I know the character inside it out.
Me and Tashina Arnold, you know we were sympatico. Man,
she actually taught me how to act back when I

(08:27):
was doing that show.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
And now to do it again animated.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
We can go forever. That's the plan. Let's get some
of that family guy right kind of stuff.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
You know what I mean. I want that like twenty
year longevity on this show.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
I know what you mean for sure? Man, Will Terry
hang on a few more songs and want to come
right back? Catch it up with Terry Cruz is our
Mario Lopez here and Terry? What's up of the rumor
that White Chicks Too is actually happening?

Speaker 5 (08:52):
First of all, Marlon said it, and I'm with it.
As soon as they first that green light on that
whole thing. Man, I'm there, bro, I got the apps,
I'm keeping everything in shape.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
I'm ready to go. You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
You always dialed there money.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
With the technology they have, now you can actually do
it as if the movie takes place the next day.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
You know what I mean. They can age them, they
can put the stuff.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
On them as crazy.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
You don't need to go into twenty years.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
We actually make it, so you go the next day
after the party.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
So it's funny that you said that a buddy of
mine was showing me today that he edited a little
short film on an app. But it's all he put
himself and other people that it's all AI in digital
and it looks real. It looks so real. I'm like, Yo,
you can make a whole movie now on your phone
and people. You don't have to cast anybody. The thing

(09:43):
is wild. So we could keep working, but put us
on you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
Oh man, opportunities abound, brother, Yeah, I want to take
advantage of all of them.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
I'm putting myself in the computer and I got no problem.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
I got I got you there, all right, Terry ain't tight?
A little more music coming back with Terry Crews. You
get back to actor and host Terry Crews. Who's hanging
out on zoom? You're all Mario Lopez and this is cool.
You recently partnered with Starbucks to help launch a new
coffee blend called Sinsa.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
Yes, I'm Son Sarah Blend.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
I hit a Strawbugs just about every day. I'm a
cold brew VENTI guy, splash of skim milk, one splendor.
What's your go to drink? And well, tell me about
the blend. I imagine this.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Is a drunk.

Speaker 5 (10:24):
I like it black, but I also like to make
it at home. And the Son Sarah Blend is available
in all the grocery stores. Man, you can take it home.
I have a routine at my house. You know, I'm
intermittent fast. I'll eat till two, but between ten thirty
and eleven thirty, I always make my own coffee, Okay,
And it's part of my routine and it's part of

(10:44):
the thing that really helps me.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
Listen, it got me through so many things in that period.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
That hour period in my day is when I write
down all my goals, I make my plans, I focus
my life. And this is the message I'm trying to
send by partnering with Starbucks. This because it's really about
these routines that make you successful.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
You know what I mean exactly?

Speaker 5 (11:05):
All right, Listen, I go back to the lists that
I made when I was doing those coffee breaks and
I hit every one of those goals. Brother, I'm trying
to tell you it's really magic.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
I'm all about lists and I'm gonna try this slave
all right, Telly, hey ty, because I want to know
about the intermittent fasting. Man quick, great, We're gonna come
back and wrap it up.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
You're the full interview now at on with Mario Dunco.
More Mario Lopez on the.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Way wrapping up with Terry Cruz your own Mario Lopez
and Terry. I know you got to go man, Baral
quick question. You said you do the internet and fast
and you go from when to win.

Speaker 5 (11:37):
I go from two to ten pm two to eat
it too, and then I don't I stopped eating by
ten pm?

Speaker 4 (11:43):
And when do you work out in the morning early?

Speaker 2 (11:46):
How do you deal with the energy and stuff?

Speaker 4 (11:47):
Crazy? You know about?

Speaker 5 (11:49):
My biggest meal is a night so you know what
I mean, I'm basically working out on that.

Speaker 4 (11:55):
You know what I mean. Have you ever hooked up
and not been hungry? You know what I meant?

Speaker 1 (11:58):
The time?

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Yeah, because I'd be rushing and.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
That's the way I am.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
But I'm going I'd be eating all day. I got
everybody fasting is so I've got so many people that
I know, and people in great shape like yourself do it,
and I'm just I gotta try it, just because I'm
not a little fat kid, Terry. I like to eat
all the time. But I'm always concerned, like in the morning,
like as far as my energy. But if you're telling
me your energy is fine, I guess yeah, you have
a big meal. You just kind of get up and then.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
This is the thing is about passing For me, it's
more so, it's more. It's not about just the body.
It's about the discipline. Everything that is within your reach
is not meant to be in your hand.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
You know what I'm saying. Yes, it's like telling.

Speaker 5 (12:34):
Your body, no, you're going to do it when I
tell you, you do it. And it's a ripple effect that
affects everything in your life. You learn how to turn
things down, you learn how to say no to stuff.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
You know.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
You can't listen to your body, man, It'll always tell
me the wrong thing.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
And especially when your goal, when you have goals and
the whole thing.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
Sometimes, hey man, the right decision sometimes doesn't feel good.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
And so one of my body says eat a third TwixT.
I should be like, no, right, but wait, I do
have those special times when it's like, all right, here
we go.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
I'm in the movie theater.

Speaker 5 (13:11):
At the same time, exactly, you know when you have
those moments where you enjoy it.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
To me, it's about being mindful.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
I'm gonna try it. I'm gonna try. I'm gonna Try'm
gonna try it, I'm gonna report back.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
You know. Every everybody has their own poll though.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
You know I'm gonna try try their own.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
I'm gonna trys, gonna come in here day one.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
I'm about to pass out. I'm about to pass out
of them.

Speaker 4 (13:33):
I have that coffee man.

Speaker 5 (13:35):
And again, you know that's another thing with teaming with
Starbucks and Sereblin on this thing is just because it's
part of my routine, you know what I mean, And
it's part of the system that I created.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
But these these things create successes.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Man.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Yeah, I'm reach that all the time. You're exactly right.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
I love it. I love it. Well.

Speaker 2 (13:53):

page out of the Destroyed Jeans playbook? What up, Mario Lopez?
Here Nike's flipping the script with its latest Air Force Ones,
which come fresh out of the box looking told, trashed, scuffed, stained,
frayed in all for cool one hundred and thirty dollars. Nice.

(15:07):
But here's the interesting part. The more you wear them,
the cleaner they get, banks to a special scratch off texture.
You can get them starting tomorrow. Well, I've got some
I can sell right now for you. It's funny because coincidentally,
I was actually wearing Air Force ones yesterday. Straight out
of the box. They were like blinding. White people were
making comments. I'm like, well, I'm not gonna purposely scuff them,

(15:30):
but now I may have to.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Mario Lopez will be right back.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
What a Mario Lopez here about to drop today's lesson
and music history on you know? This one's taking us
back to the early seventies and the Elton John song
that was inspired by a Ray Bradbury story. I'm gonna
reveal it next. You're a Mario Lopez, It's time to
drop some music knowledge on you on this day in
history fifty three years ago. We're going back to nineteen

(15:54):
seventy two, Elton John dropped this number one hit.

Speaker 4 (15:58):
It's gonna be long the time touchdown.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
That song still gets a lot of play. Goes to
show art never goes out of style. The song was
actually inspired by a short story called The Rocket Man
by Ray Bradberry. There you go, a Mario Lopez. Courtney's
out today, so Fraser's filling in with a live fact.
What you got man?

Speaker 3 (16:38):
Well, Ozimpic has become such a weight loss craze that
other diet services are starting to struggle and now there's
a lot of copycats of ozimpic. This is a natural
one that's on TikTok. This concoction is called oat zimpic
oat zempic. Yes, now about it. Most TikTokers say it
just makes you feel full, which helps you kind of

(16:58):
lose weight because your belly is But that's about it.
It doesn't necessarily help, but it could be a good start.
It consists of oats, lime juice, water, and sometimes cinnamon.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Oh, I've been unintentionally taking oat zempic.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
This actually sounds like my breakfast mind of the lime juice.
But experts checked it out and they say that oat
zimpic is not likely to work on its own, but
it could be part of a healthy diet and exercise program.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
Absolutely, oatmeal is the way to go.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Nice more Mario Lopez Coming.

Speaker 2 (17:28):

Speaker 3 (18:20):
Fraser from at Esterman? Yo, when are we getting The
Dog that saves Sinco to Mayo? Seems like an obvious
installment of a fantastic franchise.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
Thank you so much, Esterman. It is a fantastic franchise,
and it has crossed my mind, the dog that saved
Sinco to Mayo, because so far I have saved Christmas,
Christmas vacation, I believe I saved Easter. We need to
start going. Did you save the fourth of July? I
think I say the fourth of July? I think you
may have said fourth of July. This is the dog. Yes,

(18:48):
not me personally, but yeah, this dog and like maybe
fall in love with the chihuahua during the Sinko to
Mayo adventures. We're gonna get on at Esterman.

Speaker 1 (18:57):

Our Country Festival was a huge success over the weekend.
If you messed any incredible performances, hitabalmart dot com Slash
Country Festival for all the big moments Brooks and Don
Rascal Flats, Sam Hunt and more. You're all Mario Lopez
almost time to pass a mic, but not before we
get to one last thing. Since we haven't done it yet,
We're gonna ask a random question. We're coming back with
that intent.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
Don't move.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
A mari Alopez. Time for one last thing, a random question.
Fraser's gonna ask what.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
Is it would you rather be able to teleport or
not ever need sleep again? Ooh, I'm hesitating because the
thing is I love sleep. Sleep is fun, and maybe
I love sleep because we need it so much? Yeah
that we long for it, right, but if we didn't.
But if you don't need sleep, don't you still need

(19:48):
to shut it down somehow?

Speaker 2 (19:50):
I don't know, and if you don't technically don't need it.
I mean, if you're like a robot, I'm gonna go
with teleport and I'll tell you why, because even though
we don't need sleep, if you're not sleeping, well, you're
gonna be hanging by yourself. Everybody else sleep. What are
you gonna be doing? You can only tidy up the
closet so much.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
Go to some factory where people work third shift and
hang out with them.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
I guess I'm teleporting all day in America. You don't
ever have to fly anywhere, Taylor instance, I will sleep
teleport more.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Mario Lopez coming up.

I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
