Speaker 1 (00:00):
Futi a little bit. It's up, yall, Mario Lopez joining
me right now, actor Brian Austin Green and Dancing with
the Stars pro dancer Sharna Burgess. How are you guys?
Really good, good man, how are you doing. I'm doing well, Pal,
I was doing real well until you called me old
off air a second ago. But I didn't call you.
He said you're a handsome Yeah, that's true. He prefaced it.

(00:24):
He prefaced it with as well, yeah as well. Thanks
a lot, uh today for uh my Throwback Thursday post.
I was doing. I graduated thirty years ago today from
high school. And as I'm as I'm typing out, I'm like, damn,
you know what I am. Old, that's a long time ago.
It's a full lifetime. Like Jimmy Hendrix, only James Choplin died.

(00:45):
They all died like seven. I had a whole life.
It's crazy. I haven't do the sign of the Cross
that should be sailed, you know what I mean. That's
ship ship has sailed. But you're about you. You're about
the same age, so I know that's about the same
year you did, right, You got it coming up right?
I I graduated in no I graduated in Yeah that's me. Yeah, Yeah,

(01:06):
that's me. We're the same thing, Okay, Samuel. Hell of
a year yeah uh Now the way I said that
was a hell of a year. Hell of a year.
A lot happened. Yeah. So it's great to see you guys.
You guys are you guys are dating? Now? How how
exactly did you all meet during the pandemic? Which I
think is very clever. You go ahead and tell the story.
She tells stories way better than I. Honestly, it was.

(01:30):
It was something you could never expect. It was a
mutual business manager that to both of us individually, was like,
you know what, there's someone that you guys really need
to meet. You need to meet each other. I get
the same vibe from you when I'm around you individually,
so you know, whatever it is, I just think you
should meet. And we had coffee on a Friday, which
I did turn up a whole day early for on

(01:51):
a Thursday. She text me Thursday morning and she was like, hey,
so I'm sitting in the back corner, you know, pink
in my hair, but and and I was looking, and
I was thinking, So I text her back and I
was like, wait, are we supposed to have coffee tomorrow morning,
and she's like, oh, yeah, that's right, it is tomorrow morn.
She just wants to go scope it out. Well, the
coffee is amazing. There you go. So I was early.

(02:14):
It was a whole twenty four hours early, which is
very rare for me because I'm not tourists, like five
minutes later everything. But we had coffee and it was amazing,
and we lost time for like four and a half hours,
and we just kept doing that for a little while
and got to know each other. But yeah, a mutual
business manager wild would have thought sometimes people who know
the same circle of friends or people like, hey, you

(02:35):
know you like that totally works. It makes a lot
of sense. And uh, I know you. You just had
a birthday recently, right, I did. I did have a back.
I can't believe it. It was awesome. Um, I had
an incredible time. Brian surprised me with a whole bunch
of my dancing with the star's family and friends coming
up to the house. I thought we were going to dinner,

(02:55):
and I was all dressed up to go to dinner.
Then the doebell rang and there was everyone with balloons
and saying Happy Beth Day, and it was it was
really really awesome that I did. We did like a
flash mob surprise party. So instead of us going somewhere
for a surprise, which she was expecting, um around the
time we were supposed to leave, they all came here.
So she had a whole outfit picked out, and she

(03:16):
had like spent like two hours, you know, getting herself
already for dinner. And then she immediately went and changed.
I get she pants and a regular shirt back on.
She was like, good, let me take this off. It
was actually perfect. It was it was everything I could
have wanted. I'm so grateful you brought the surprise to her.
Nice job. Nice job. Now this is cool. You guys
have partnered with search for smile and the search engine

(03:40):
trueheart dot com. What is this campaign all about? So
so we uh we we partnered, as you said, with
trueheart dot Com. I've I've done I've done a few
campaigns with him now and I think Shanna has as well. Um.
I did the Fight for the Amazon campaign with them.
Um uh a few years back. I I've done a

(04:01):
few others and so they reached out with this idea. Um,
they're they're they're working with this charity, this company called
Smile Train, and it helps kids and adults with cleft
palates and lips. And so they created this new search
engine that you can you can use as your main

(04:22):
search engine, and you you don't have to donate any
of your own money, which people right now are are struggling.
They don't have money to donate right now, but they
would love to. They would love to be a part
of of of something bigger than them. So if you
if you make um, if you make them your your
search engine and you search as you normally would, money

(04:43):
is donated to Smile Train and four other charities for
the first year, and then every year they pick five
new charities. So it's it's a great way of doing it,
and and it's really it's really advantageous. I think at
a time when people don't have the money, like I
said before, to to donate, but really want to help
as much as possible to just be able to live

(05:05):
their lives and do what they do and and donate anyway.
That's that's such a great cause. Good for you to
get behind that, that's that's awesome to hear. Man Um
And I also want to talk about this movie you
got coming out in the fall called Pacerville, which is
I guess inspired by the pandemic. Is that correct? Yeah? Yeah,
we uh we we shot it in in Sacramento. UM.

(05:29):
My character is a high school history teacher. It takes
place during the pandemic, so he is teaching on online
on zoom and uh. It is sort of it's the
story of what happens when somebody has left to their
own devices. And you know, some people handled the pandemic
and and and that really well. And then some people didn't. Uh.

(05:52):
Some people sort of when given their own space and time,
they took the wrong turn and they started following the
wrong things. And and that's sort of what he did.
He he was going through a tough time at home
and a divorce and um, and and just started drinking
and really going in the wrong direction. Um. I like

(06:15):
to think that he made all the choices that I
could have but didn't, like like extreme sense. Yeah, he
did the wrong road and then I tried not to. So, um,
it was a lot of fun. We shot in Sacramento.
We we shot in an abandoned high school or a
closed high school, so we had full access to it.

(06:38):
We shot all nights for like two weeks or two
and a half weeks, and then we shot days for
the rest of it. Um. But it was a lot
of fun. It was cool, and I got to grow, uh,
I got to grow a full beard, which you can
quarantine beard. Man. Everybody, everybody had one except for you, Mario,
because you were working the entire time. Well yeah, but

(06:59):
you have a you have a good beard where you
have no holes. It's a little patchy right here, so
you got I mean, if I had yours, I rock
it all the time. I got from my dad. My
dad used to grow a beard that went all the
way up to his eyes, so it had a beard
that went all the way down here, and then he
wore a little uh like coke bottle glasses. He really
couldn't see him a little round so you couldn't see

(07:21):
his face at all. He had a big afro, he
had a he had a he sounds awesome here, and
then the coke bottle glasses. So literally he was like
the dog faced boy class my dad. My dad coincidentally,
has had a beard my whole life. I've never seen
without facial hair. Shaned it because he was working at
Disneyland and he was a drummer, and so they made

(07:44):
him shave it all off and he had the clean
cut and uh. And I woke up in the morning.
I was in bed with my mom and my dad
was in the bed, and I didn't recognize who is
this guy? Who is that? That's funny, that's great. Probably
probably not the you know, not the not the best
thing for a child to do. I didn't recognize my

(08:04):
dad at all. I thought that maybe it was one
of my older brothers friends. That's fun which looking back
on it now, it's a little questionable. Yeah, it was
a bit weird. Yeah, I'm glad that cleared up right there. Yeah,
and uh, Sharona, Another season of Dancing is going to
premiering in the fall. Any rumors who may be joining
the cast or what are your thoughts on that You've

(08:25):
heard nothing. I know that we're doing another season. I
know that they're super excited about it, and as every
season comes around, they're trying to up it another time
and do even better. We had huge changes last season.
Who knows what they could do for this season, honestly,
but it is coming up really really quickly. I'm hopeful
that I'm going to be a part of it, but
none of us have heard if we're confirmed yet or not,

(08:47):
so keeping things from Yeah, I was, I know they
keep that to the last moment right there. And last question, Brian,
I remember a couple of mounts back you were you
were working on a vegetable garden. Yes, it's it's it's yeah,
it's almost done. I have I have a pet rabbit,
um as as parents do. And uh. And the pet

(09:08):
rabbit is now outside in the vegetable garden all the time.
And yeah, he's living. He's living his rabbit. The vegetable
garden is probably like twenty by ten feet. It's huge, significant,
it's completely safe for him. It's completely caged in, so
he's doing his thing. Man, you go out there and
visit him, and he hops up to you and he's

(09:30):
he's he's living his best legs. It doesn't he eat
all your produce? No, because I don't have any protos
growing up, just I just rabbit. So I have to
have to plant are off the ground like what two
and a half feet Yeah, nothing's growing in the ground,
so he won't be able to hopefully eat anything. I mean,

(09:51):
I know he's a rabbit and rabbits. They hop, but
I'm assuming that he can't quite hop as high as
they are going to be on it. And and last
thing I'm gonna say to you before I leave here.
If you don't rock that Cobra Kai outfit that you
stole from me this Halloween and say I stole this
from Mario Lopez, I'm gonna be very disappointed. You need
to attack me so post. I already sent you a photo.

(10:14):
I know, but you gotta rocket on Halloween. So well,
that's true, man, the magic of Hollywood works. That's true.
In the meanwhile, everyone remember if you use the search
engine true heart dot com, you can help search for
a smile, which is a great great charity. Brian Sharna,
thanks so much for checking in. Guys. Thank you YouTube.

(10:36):
I'll talk to you with Mario a little pett
