Hi, nice, Thank you for taking the time. Man, nice
to nice to see you again. Not Dwight, Were you
hesitant and all to join the show? Were there any reluctance?

No, I didn't wanted to be on this show for
three years in a row, right, and this year was
the year that I was finally able to get on
the show.

Danielle. What was your What was your first impression of Dwight?
I gotta imagine, man, that's gonna be a tough frame
to hold that high.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
I mean, I can't reach I couldn't reach his frame.
We had to create our own, inventing new things as
we go.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
So he's definitely the tallest person I think I've ever
stood next to.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
Yeah, thank goodness, he's athletic.

What's been the biggest challenge for you throughout this competition?
Speaker 1 (01:05):

Speaker 4 (01:07):
My hips, my hips, trying to do the salsa in
the Yeah, but everything has been fun, you know. I
take the challenge every week of learning the new dance,
trying to get into those positions, the frames.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
It's been crazy. It's been crazy, like things I.
Speaker 4 (01:28):
Haven't done as a basketball player, and like transfer your
weight to one foot, lunch on one foot. I'm used
to like being on ballots, being on two feet and
moving defensively and stuff like that. So it's like it's
a little different, but it's so much fun.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
It is a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
And just when you think you or you're starting to
get something, you switch to another dance and it's totally
something different.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
So it's like a whole new language.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Right.
Speaker 4 (01:54):
Yeah, it's crazy. Like last week we were a week
before last week did.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
The passa do blade.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
So I spent the whole week studying uh pasa do blade,
studying all the techniques, studying where it came from, you know, all.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Those little things so I could be into that character.
The bam.

The next week it's a whole new dance and I'm
doing salsa and I have to learn how to get
my hips the right way, and then I was tangoed.
So it's just so many different dances and so many
different styles. But Danieller is a great coach. She doesn't
amazing well partner, I said, a coach like she is
my coach. But she's my coach, my partner. She's all

to be above. But it's just great to have you
know her. The way she teaches, you know, it's just
crazy because she makes my heart rate jump up the spikes.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Well, you are not only his partner, you are his coach,
his counselor his you know what I'm say, many hats
that you wear, So props to you and all the
other pros right there.

Tonight is Disney night. Can you give us a little
teas about what song you're dancing to?

actually we have a great history. We had to fight
each other. Uh, he's had to catch me from two
hundred feet in the air doing the trust Fall. Yeah,

like we've had to do some crazy stuff together. So
like we're locked in. So me and were pretty close
and uh, you know, it's been great learning the other
something about the other people. Uh, Phaedra, you know she's
from Atlanta, but you know, I really didn't know she
was a mortician.

So it's just crazy.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Oh that's wild. I don't know she's a mortician.

Yeah, yeah, she she has her own funeral home. So
I'm like, damn.

I asked her, like, one day, can I come up
to the funeral home. I just want to, you know,
see the process. I'm kind of intrigued.

She said I could definitely come up there and uh

for the Lakers, and he's coaching Lebron.
