Speaker 1 (00:00):
Real fun with Mario Lopez. Who it's up all Mario
Lopez joining me on Zoom for the new movie Beautiful
Wedding actor Dylan Sprouse.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Welcome back, man, How you been?
Speaker 3 (00:10):
Hello? Hello, Always a pleasure to see a friendly face Maria.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Thank you, sir.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
Likewise, we had you back in May for Beautiful Disaster,
and this is a sequel.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
So where do we pick up with your character?
Speaker 3 (00:22):
We literally pick up right where we left off, an
extremely hungover day in Las Vegas, only for Abby and
Travis to find out that they are married. They got
married drunk in Vegas the night before, and they're currently
being pursued by Vegas gangsters, so they book a last
minute honeymoon to Mexico, where they go and spend their
(00:44):
week of getting to know each other even more than
they do now, and hilarity ensues.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Fun premise right there.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Do you film these all at once or how much
time you have between films?
Speaker 3 (00:54):
It certainly seems that way, right because it hasn't been
that long since I saw you last. No, we actually
we filmed was the first one in Bulgaria, and then
before the first one was even released, we ended up
filming this one and so so they do film pretty
close back to back. But that was the first time
I had done that in my career. I didn't I
did never see that happen.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Right, So keeps it fresh, that's for sure. I remember
the first film had an n MMA aspect to it.
Is there any more of that in the sequel.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
There is a large beach combat scene which was very
fun to shoot, where I have to fight like ten
dudes on a beach, which is is very fun. Those
are always my favorite scenes.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Nice, nice, all right.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Your co star Virginia Gardner, she's got some martial arts
skills as well, right, she does.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Apparently she's a black belt in taekwondo, But I have
never seen anything of that sort at any time. But
you know what I have. I wouldn't mess with her.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
So you're doing all the butt women on.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
This, I am no. Actually she does.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
She does a little uh, she does a little bit.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Okay, yeah, little woman herself, which was fun to watch.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Did any of this inspire you to want to continue
to pursue it off camera?
Speaker 3 (02:02):
I still continue to pursue it. I think last I
talked to you, we talked quite a bit about boxing.
I do have the bags set up in my house
now and I box about. You know, I try to
get at least twenty minutes.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
A day out a boy, Good for you, man, But.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
I've yet to have time to go to classes, which
is really the key.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Okay, yeah, hey, you're getting in there. That's good. Now
will there be a third film to finish the trilogy?
Speaker 3 (02:26):
That I cannot say. I'm not at liberty to say,
but there are plenty of books, let's put it that way.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
So okay, time that bodes well. I saw an ig
that you're growing your own mushrooms. Yeah, how'd you get
into that?
Speaker 2 (02:40):
What's up with that?
Speaker 3 (02:42):
Well? My wife and I have a little garden in
our backyard, and I do love mushrooms in cooking, even
though Barbara hates them. I love mushrooms. I go to farmers'
markets and oftentimes there's the mushroom guy, and he was
selling pink oyster mushrooms, which are delicied sane. So I'll
either do that or I'll throw them on the smoker
(03:04):
with the meats that I'm smoking. And now I'm growing them,
which is as about as druiddick as I'm gonna get
in my life. I think.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Yeah, ooh grown. I bet the homegrown ones are good.
I love nea mushroom.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Too, Dude. You should try, Honestly, it's the easiest thing
you grow. You just put them in the backyard, cover
them in like a kind of humidity tent, and you
don't even look at them until they're grown.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
Okay, all right, I think I may have gotten motivator
right there.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Hey.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Do you get invited to a lot of weddings?
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (03:33):
You know what I do? Get invited to a lot
of weddings. Do I have time to go to all
of the weddings of invititude? No, which is part partially
a good thing. I'm not crazy about going to weddings.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
La is home, right?
Speaker 3 (03:46):
La is home?
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Nice? Is that where you're from?
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Originally?
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Where you from?
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Again?
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Originally?
Speaker 3 (03:50):
I grew up over in Woodland Hills. Man?
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Oh, why so you're you're a Native Angelino?
Speaker 3 (03:54):
Man, I'm a valley boy.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Yeah. You don't see too many natives, right, everyone's a transplant.
So nice?
Speaker 3 (04:01):
No, I know. The way I like to describe it
is like California has always been a gold rush state,
in that people come to California looking to strike gold,
but the Native Angelinas are the ones selling them water.
That's how we've hunkered down and made that living. So
that's all I feel. And I love my home state,
(04:22):
I really do.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Yeah, no, I agree. I'm with you right there. Well,
congratulations on the latest installment.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Beautiful Wedding is in theaters now, be sure to check
it out, Dylan, Thanks for hanging out man.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Thanks Mario, I'll see you in a little bit.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
All right, Budy, I'll see it a little bit. Take
care
Speaker 1 (04:37):
