So?

Speaker 2 (01:19):
I was listening to Sirius XM Octane and she was
doing an interview on Octane with this guy Jose and
he's like a metal head, right, and she was talking about,
you know, her love for rock and metal music, and
she brought up popa Oach and somebody had texted me
She's like, did you see this interview?

Speaker 1 (01:36):
And I was like, oh, snap, what's up. Carrie's a
fan that's dope.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
And so we had a show in Nashville and I
invited her and her husband out to the show.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
She came out to the show, loved the show. And
then the.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Wife and I were in Vegas and we checked out
one of her residencies and we rolled out to her
show and we just hit it off and became friends.
And then you know, one thing leads to another, and
then we had this song and we hit her up
We're like, hey, we got this song. We've always envisioned
it with a with a female vocal on it, a duet,
and she was all about it. And so it's just

(02:09):
such a cool way that it came together and organically,
you know what I'm saying. It wasn't set up by
the powers that be, you.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Know, right right? Yeah, you just fans of each other.
That's cool. That's the best way right there.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yeah man, And uh yeah, she's just such a great vocalist.
It was awesome.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
And there's a new version of the video as well.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Right are we going to see perhaps a live performance
at one point?

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Oh? Man, that would be a dream that was It
would be cool.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
We did h We actually sang the song together a
few times in the studio after she got done cutting
her vocal. We did like some tiktoks and stuff like that,
and she's like, so, what's up. We didn't sing this
thing together? And I'm like, right here we go, so
this rock dude, and yeah, you know, she's a super polished,
like amazing vocalist, and uh we started singing live in

(02:53):
the room together and it was a vibe. It was
It was cool, man. So I definitely loved to one stage.
Put the on stage for sure.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Yeah, that'd be great, man.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
I know you just appeared on Celebrity Family Feud and
I've done that show man. It's and it's funny because
it's one of those things you're watch it on TV
and you're like, she got the ends in. You're there,
You're like sometimes at least with me through a monkey wrench.
But you went up against a Daughtry.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Right, yeah, and his family. How did you feel about
the whole experience?

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (03:25):
I thought it was dope. Man, it was a good experience.
I've been I've been good friends with Daughtry for a
hot minute and uh, you know, just he's a good dude.
And their team hit us up. They're like, hey, want
to do Celebrity Family few And I'm like, oh my god,
we've made it. We finally made it the business comet
Family Feud, And like you said, it's like you gotta
go hit that button. You're like, oh gosh, like performance anxiety.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Yeah, all right, so you start overthinking because you start
overthinking everything.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Absolutely, and some of the answers some of us were
given were just totally We're looking at each other.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Like you do so it was a good time.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
We got to raise a bunch of money for the
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. That was the you know,
that was the main reason why we were going to
do this nice and so yeah, man, doing it for
a cause.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Good for you, man, good for you.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
And I can't believe this, but we're coming up on
twenty five years since your big hit, Last Resort. When
was the moment you think you realize like, oh damn,
this song's blowing up.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
I tell you.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
We were in our van on our way to start
up the Warp tour.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
And we heard our song and we were like, oh
my god, this is tripping.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
I can't believe it's on the radio where we started
doing the Warp tour, and they moved us from like
the third stage to the second stage to the main
stage within like a week of performing on this tour.
And so, you know, going from this garage band to
then sharing the stage next to Green Day and Weezer
and all these iconic punk rock bands, and you know,

(04:54):
then I found myself on TRL and it just it
just was. It was a wild rocket right to the top. Man,
it was a trip. It was a blur at times.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
I'm vet, I've man, time flies by. I can't believe
it's been that long, right.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
There, Yeah for real, man, it still comes on the
radio all the.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
Time Classic yeah, of course. And you got three boys,
right yeah?

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Man, I got a twenty two year old or sorry, no,
he's twenty three now too.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Dah oh you started.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Yeah, one year old as well, and then I got
a ten year old.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Okay, damn what two boys in college and then a
younger boy.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
What are they end?

Speaker 2 (05:30):

Speaker 1 (05:32):

Speaker 4 (05:35):

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Yeah, they played sports all the way through. They go
to a school called sant Ambrose University in Iowa, Okay.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
And yeah, man, my older son just finished up his
last year at college lacrosse last year and he ripped it. Man.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
He had a good season. He's got two conference champs
under his belt, you know. So, and I'm a super
fan and so I'm rolling to the game supporting and
stuff like that. And then the best Jagger, my second born,
he's he's a lacrosse player too. He's also a rapper,
you know. So it's like he's he plays drums as well.
And then my youngest Brixton he's all into music and
he's he's got a YouTube page, and he's super creative

(06:10):
