You too, my man, you too. Big news this week,
you guys are going back on tour with Paul Abdul,
DJ Jazzy Jeff, the Magic Summer Tour. Yeah, sounds like
a lot of fun. What can fans expect this time around?
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Well, I mean, for starters, we kind of you know,
we've had so many memories over the years, but back
in the days, way back, we had our Magic Summer Tour.
It was a big stadium tour and kind of one
of those iconic moments for us and our fans, and
so we thought it'd be fun to kind of relive that,

but in a you know, very current way, and and
you know, to have Paul.

Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
I mean, it's an amazing lineup and it's and it's
in sheds, it's outside like that tour was.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
We're mixing it up a little bit, but we're excited
to get back out there.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
That's great to hear how many cities we talking about.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
I think about forty five or forty six.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Wow, that's ambitious. Good for you, and I hear there's
going to be some surprises, anything you can tease us
with at this point.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
I mean, you know what I love is that I
think there's still some blockheads out there that haven't seen
us since we came back, you know, years ago now,
So you know, in our audience is like they're like
the six new kid, you know what I mean. There's
a party going on in the audience, and you know,
(01:39):
we're always trying to keep it fresh. It's like a marriage,
you know. We're trying to surprise them and keep them happy.
And they're the best fans in the world. So I'm
sure there'd be some surprises, but there's enough hits you know,
from the eighties and nineties to make it worth the night.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Absolutely well. I'm sure they're going to be looking forward
to your re release of the comeback album from two
thousand and eighth, The Block. We're gonna get some unreleased
tracks on it as well, right.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Yes, yes, I mean that was such a huge, you
know record to come back and you know, super well received,
and we had so many great collaborators Neo and Lady
Gaga and New Edition and and so many more and
you know, to revisit it. I can't believe it's been
fifteen years since we came back. But but you know,
we uh, we've been lucky and we continue to make

new music and uh, we've been working on some new
music now too, So keeping it fresh man, just keeping
the keeping it exciting for us and the fans and
and that block altum. There's a lot of great you know, uh,
some some bonus cuts that people haven't heard, so I
think the fans will be happy.

You've also been doing some solo music this year, right,
tell me about uh Joey and the Brave Hearts.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, so I kind of gave my my
fans you know that nickname of the Brave Hearts.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
We're all Brave Hearts. But you know, I love you.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
Know, I'm lucky to be in a successful band, you know,
very successful band. But you know, doing my own thing
is important and it kind of balances it out. So
I just turned the big five, oh this year, so
you and I endeavored to do fifty solo dates. I
don't know if I'm going to get to fifty by
the end of the year. But it's been fun and

very very fulfilling. And again it it feeds both the
group and myself.

Man, like to I'd like to hear you staying busy
hitting that fifth level. Hey you Holidays around the corner.
Of course, I know new Kids that are Christmas album.
Back in the day, you guys thought about doing another one.

Well, you know, we've done sometimes on our tours lately.
We'll do like Christmas in July, you know, and break
out a few songs from that album, like you know,
in the middle of an arena tour in the summer,
you know, and.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
And it goes it goes over very well.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
Actually, we just did another one of our crazy cruises
and it was one of the themes I so it
was an album cover night. So we came in with
that all our outfits from that album from nineteen eighty nine,
which we despise back in the day you thought it
was the cheesiest thing ever. Now it's a classic. So
we had fun with it and there's some good you know,

you know, like our big hit from there was this
One's for the Children, and you know, it's funny how
songs kind of hit difference. Sometimes it's exactly what you
need to hear, you know what I mean, especially and
you know it's a big, beautiful world, but it gets
crazy sometimes. So there's some there's nothing almost spreading some love,
you know.
