Speaker 1 (00:01):
Mario a little bit. It's up Mario Lopez joining me
now on Zoom the co host of The Bachelorette and
season twenty nine Mirror Ball winner, Caitlin Bristol. Welcome to show, Kaylin.
Are you doing I'm so good? Thank you for having me,
and welcome to my hotel room. Hey, where are you
in l A at the moment you're traveling? I've in
l A right now. Yeah, just got in yesterday to
start rehearsing for dancing. And where is um? Where's home? Now?
(00:26):
Home is Nashville? Nice? Has that always been home? Is
Are we from? Well? No, I'm from Canada originally, and
then i moved to Nashville about six years ago and
I've been there ever since. Oh what part of Canada? Um? Well,
I grew up in a little town called Luduke, Alberta
that's probably known has heard of. But I moved to
Vancouver and lived there for about eleven years. Got it
(00:46):
beautiful there? Okay? You just go from nice town to
nice town. Well, we just saw fantasy suites on the bachelorrette.
We know why the guys like this night obviously, do
the Do you think the women approached with the same mindset. Um,
that's a good question. I have asked past bachelor's and
bachelorette's on my podcast, like what is your mindset going in?
(01:08):
And I think it just depends on the person, not
necessarily if it's a guy or girl, because everyone had
different answers. You know, you've got virgins that have gone
into the fantasy suite. You've got people that are very
sexually open going into the fantasy suite. You've got people
who are genuinely like wondering who you vote for and
what your money is like, Like, everybody goes into it
from a different angle. So it's it's interesting, that's for sure.
(01:30):
There needs to be a book written about it. I
like the way you phrase that sexually open a k
ale four. I'm gonna use that from now on. The
finale is an next. Do you think Michelle knows her
choice at this point or there are some things that
are still undecided? Um? Well, I was there like right
(01:51):
beside her during this, and I always thought, come on,
it's got to be clear at this point. I mean
maybe because it was for me during my time on
the show, but it really was not clear to her.
I think she's, uh, she really surrendered to letting herself
fall for more than one person, and those feelings don't
just stop, so she's gonna have to make a really
tough decision. Well, you would know for sure, and you
(02:14):
mentioned dancing. You're part of the Dancing with the Stars
Live to ur what's in store for fans who come
to these shows? Oh my gosh, I mean it's thirting
a whole new show. I know they do this almost
every year. Last year there wasn't a show because there
was a pandemic obviously, So um, I think they're really
going to go for it this this season. And I
(02:34):
was just there at the dance studio yesterday and watching
these pros. I was like, oh gosh, Like what turn
did I take in life to be able to dance
with these people? It's incredible. The talent is insane, the lighting,
the stage, the costumes, everything. There's so many host moments, um,
and the crowd is just gonna have so much fun.
I mean, you you see it on TV and it's
(02:54):
one of those shows. It's just a feel good show
and it's I think it's even better when you can
watch it in person. Oh, absolutely, family friendly. Everyone can
appreciate it. Um. We We recently had Hannah brown On
who also went up mirror Ball. The Bachelor refranchise has
been well represented. Um, and they try to get you
two together for like an Ultimate Dance Battle. If it
(03:17):
was up to me, I would love that. I always said,
if they had a what do they do like the
All Star season where they bring back all the winners
to battle? I think that'd be fun. It would be
Battle of the batchel threats for us. There you go. Um,
and you've got a wedding coming up? Congratulations? Uh, how
are we approaching? It is a big one, small one destination.
Every week it feels like we change our mind about something.
(03:41):
So I realized that wedding planning is not something I've
ever thought of, nor did I know how hard it was. Um,
we're still trying to lock in a wedding planner because
I'm like, once we have a wedding planner, like then
they can just go to town. But right now, I
think we're gonna do it in Nashville, and UM, go big,
there you go. Yeah, surrender to the wedding planner. That
way you can enjoy the process a little bit more.
(04:01):
What about a honeymoon? Do you know? What you want
for that or okay, honeymoon I am all about. I'm like,
I want to go to the Maldives. I want to
go to Italy. I am like, I need to go.
I want to cross off my bucket list. Stained in
one of those over the water bungalow huts. I've never
done it, and I really want to. Honeymoon seems like
the appropriate time. I'm surprised you didn't do that on
the Bachelorette. That's usually like a go to know that
(04:24):
jipped on that. I was like, I was on a
season where we went to Iowa, we went to South Dakota,
we went to New York, those places. But it's not Fiji.
When you're overlook, when I get to be with someone
you really like to do it so exactly that that's nice. Um,
what about the holidays? What what are you doing for Christmas?
And years? I think I'm dancing straight through. I mean,
(04:45):
I'm on a tight schedule, and you know, I think
I had a podcast I just came off of, so
I wasn't able to make earlier re whrestals. So um,
in order to practice as much as I need to,
I'm going right into up to I think Christmas Eve,
and then we're doing the Bachelorette at to the Final Rose,
which is live, and then I'm gonna probably go home
for a couple of days. I just had family in
(05:06):
from Canada in town, so we kind of had our
own Christmas, and then I'll go home to Jason's family
for a couple of days in Christmas, and then it's
on the road for the tour. Nice, nice, well, congratulations
on everything, really making the most of it. Also, um,
a great job. Real quick. I'm just curious because as
I'm looking at you, talking to you for a minute,
who do you get told you look like celebrity wet? Oh? Well,
(05:29):
I feel like so cocky if I say it, because
I'm like, no, there's no way it can be true.
People say Making Fox. I was just gonna say, yeah,
I was. I was gonna say because you're okay, That's
what it was. Exactly as as I asked you, I
was like, I get god, I'm like my Making Fox. Okay, No,
not cocky, very accurate and obviously quite the compliment. Uh
mine is crazy at looking boyfriend at the moment is
(05:50):
much more funny. You kind of look like my fiance,
So there you go. Hey, what a what a handsome man?
That kind of no, that's great. Hey, well again, congrats
on everything and watch The Bachelotte Tuesday on ABC. Caitlin,
thanks so much for hanging out. Thank you for having me.
You got it, Twitty, take care Okay, thanks so much,
(06:10):
Bye bye. Look On with Mario Lopez
