Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're on with Mario a little bit. It's up you
on Mario Lopez joining me all on zoom from the
Hills New Beginnings, Kristin Cavalery, how are you welcome back?
Thank you, it's going to see you. Nice to see you.
You look amazing as always, and we are speaking to
you from Nashville, Tennessee. Correct, Yes, that's right. How have
you liked that transition? Was it hard at first? You
(00:22):
love it? Now? I really love it. I mean it's
it's such a slower paced lifestyle. It's really calm, it's
really peaceful. I have three kids and so it's the
perfect place to raise them, and I honestly love it.
It's been such an easy transition. You know, pre pandemic,
my life was not not crazy, but I mean I
traveled quite a bit. I was in l A a
(00:43):
lot in New York, and then I always had this
this sanctuary to come home to, and then being here
the whole time during the pandemic. Now I'm like, I
don't want to leave at all. I really love it.
I love that. I love that. Well. You return to
the Hills New Beginnings for one episode. Was there, Clothe
Dre You needed did they just woo you with um
gifts and presence or what happened? But you know what
(01:07):
we did? Um. Heidi and Adrina actually came on Very
Cavalry for an episode, so we swapped episode for episode
and then they came on Very Cavalry. The pandemic happened,
so everything up put on hold. And then once they
started filming, they were like, knock, knock, knock, Hey, you
owe us an episode. I was like, oh yeah, so,
but you know what, I had so much fun. It
was a little mini reunion. I I went back and
(01:29):
forth on do I go in? Do I stir the pot?
And then I leave? But I just went in. I
was a sounding board for Adrina and Heidi. I didn't
drop any bombs. I guess I'm growing up a little bit.
But I just had so much fun and it was
so great to see everybody. Oh that's great. So what
was did drama? Eventually? Um on sue or it happened?
Because I remember, wasn't somebody was spreading rumors about you?
Wasn't that part of the storyline? Was it Spencer? Of course?
(01:53):
Was it just now that Brody and I kissed? Oh
that's right, I said, I said what it was. Wasn't
Spencer saying something or was it just kind of hype?
Is he like a hype guy? I can't believe I
know all this. You know, listen, I love Spencer, and
Spencer is very good at creating hype and drama. I
actually spoke to him yesterday and he says that he
never said that Brodye I kissed, even though it's quoted everywhere.
(02:16):
But I'll believe him. But um yeah, I just don't
want fans to tune in thinking they're gonna see Brody
and I rekindle some romance and that's not the case. No, no,
it's not true. How would you say the gang has
changed over the years or have they not? Or have
they stayed pretty much the same? Well, you know, yeah,
(02:37):
a little bit of both. I think everyone is the same,
but now everyone is a mom or dad might be
a little scary, and there's still partying at the same
level that everyone has up, funny responsible for other human
being were you definitely have evolved and grown up and
and and doing great. I know you've launched a new skin, Caroline,
(02:58):
congratulations on that. Uncommon and beauty is the name of it. Um,
so tell me about him. Yeah. So, you know, one
of the number one questions that I've always gotten has
been what is my skincare routine? And so about a
year ago, my team and I decided to just do
a deep dive into the products I was using At
the time. I thought I was using high end products
that were relatively clean, and come to find out, they
(03:20):
weren't clean at all. So I did a lot of
research into the clean beauty world, and what I found
is that you can essentially say you're a clean beauty line,
whether it's makeup or skincare or whatever, and in fact
you're really not, at least not according to my standards.
So I felt as though there was a need to
launch a line that was in fact clean yet still
really effective. So we're launching with our five core products.
(03:42):
These are the five products that I feel is that
everybody needs in their daily routine. They're very much a
part of my daily routine. Is it just for women
or could a man use them? You can absolutely use it, Mario,
I could use it. Like, what would you suggest for
someone who has like really oily skin? My skin is
like if you took a piece of fried chicken and
just started wiping it all over my face. But then again,
(04:03):
that's what people tell me keeps you looking young, so
you should be happy that face. I'll say good, I'll
take that. It all comes around, all right. I'm not
going to fight that. You know it would be good
for you. Tell me, you know what I'm gonna tell you,
it would be good for you. Probably a lot of things.
More on the oily side. We have I actually have
it right here. It's our daily foaming powder cleanser. So
(04:24):
this is a cleanser, but it's a powder, so you
can control a consistency of it. So it can either
be a really deep expoliator or a really gentle cleanser
like a pace for you you make it like a
pace then, right, is that what it is? Yet you
can make it into a page, yeah, or it all
SuDS up, and it can be just a really light
cleanser to depending on how much water you mix with it.
So it's a cool, cool product. Thanks for the tip there,
(04:45):
Thanks for the tip. And how are the kids? How
old are they now? Oh? My gosh, there eight? My
middle one just turned seven, and then my daughter is five.
My daughter is graduating pre school next week and she'll
be in kindergarten. So all of my babies are now
officially a big kid. It's crazy you started getting them
out of the house. It's fun. No, I have three?
Uh as well? You got um with two boys and
a girl. Yeah, and aren't yours close to mine? What
(05:08):
are your? Yeah? They're for ten seven and about to
be too. So yeah, I got a girl boy boy.
It's fun. Huh, you're done for the moment. Oh god,
I'm done. I'm done. I'm so done because my daughter
is five. The thought of going back to the baby phase,
I don't think I could do it. You know, everyone
(05:29):
is sleeping through the night. I can't go back to
all of that. I know at my one year old.
Believe me, he's just he's kicking my ass right now.
So speaking of sleeping through the number. Um, before I
let you go, I'm gonna put you on the spot, Christian,
quick questions, quick answers. All right, what are you watching
on TV or streaming right now? I just finished the
Undoing with Nicole Kidman, which I love. It's good. Right. Um,
(05:52):
when you're done with that, I'm into Mayor of Easttown,
which is kind of like the same thing. If you
like it. That's a good one. Kate Winslet. I okay,
good to know what song? Do you know all the
words to? What song? Do I know all the words
to every single Britney Spear song on the planet. Wow,
you're a big break. Okay, okay, you've probably know him
(06:14):
better than her at this point. Your number one your
number one deserted island skincare product. If you're stranded, what
are you taking with you? Our pineapple peptide nectar from
Uncommon Beauty. It's vitamin C and peptides and one. It's
anti aging, it's brightening, it's hydrating, It's everything you would
want in a product. I'm surprised you're taking that particular
(06:36):
product because you're gonna have an abundance of pineapples on
that strain on that island. But okay, I'm not peptides,
that's true. You won't have pep tides. Yeah, we're not
gonna have pep tides, all right. And last question, what's
the next reality to show you wish you could visit
for one episode? Oh god, that's a great question. I
would love to go on the Housewives for one episode,
(06:58):
and just which one? Tear it up? And then be
like this, I'd probably go Beverly Hills. Yeah, you'd be good.
I'm surprised they haven't approached you, or have they approached you?
They haven't, And I guess there's rumors right now that
they're going to do a Housewives of Nashville, and everyone's like,
they must have asked you. I'm like, no, nobody asked me.
But I wouldn't do it. So it's okay, you wouldn't
do it just because you know, I have three little kids.
(07:21):
I don't mean to be doing a show like that. Yeah, no,
I agreed. Irony is that a lot of them have
little kids and they just they give zeros and they
still go on with their drama, which is crazy. It
is different when I was, you know, twenty years old,
and I know to look out for but myself. But no,
I cannot cannot be doing all that. Well, that's the
crazy thing about like the Housewives. And I'm actually fascinated
(07:43):
by the success because these women, well they're older right there,
of a certain age, and they're kind of they're acting
like kids, and they're like, I want to say, late
forties a lot of them, and they're acting a fool
and I'm like, is that the appeal? I don't get it,
Like my wife's said him to I just really just like,
look like Cougar's like, gone wild, what's going on here?
Am I wrong? Think? Nowadays it's like you either have
(08:03):
to bring it or you're not going to be on
the show anymore. So everyone has that in the back
of their heads. So it's like you have to be
flipping tables and doing all these crazy things to get
talked about. And to me, that's so stressful. It's so
nice to hear that because like on The Hills, I
get it. You're in your twenties, you're young. Everybody's acting
crazy whatever. Now like in your late forties, Like, come on,
it's a bad look. I think, Oh my god, it
sounds so old. I'm the old guy right now. I
(08:25):
can't believe I said. Am I crazy? Anyway? Vented there
for a second. Sorry, Christian? Okay, good, Christen's on the
same page with me. Congratulations on everything. Um, hopefully we'll
get to see you in person soon and listen watch
The Hills New Beginnings Wednesdays on MTV. Christen, always good
talking to you. It's gonna see YouTube. Take care of
with moo a little bit
