I'm doing well, brother. It's good to see you, and
congratulations you're back as host season twenty AGT that's going
down May twenty seventh. Have you seen any of the
talent for the new season already?
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Oh? Yeah, man, we did the auditions. It's incredible, brother.
Like I said, I always think I haven't seen it all,
and I'm like, oh, no, I ain't seen nothing, you know.
I'm like, man, for one, you say I heard that
song a million times, but you didn't hear it like that, right,
you know? Yeah I saw that dance, but you ain't
seen this ballet like this. Yeah. Yeah, it's incredible, man.
(00:47):
What can I say? It's twenty years brother, unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
It's awesome and it's a great family show.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Tea.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Go watch with the kids. And mel B is now
back as a judge after a little hiatus. Is this
the first time you work with it?
Speaker 2 (01:00):
No? I actually my first experience in the America's Got
Talent World. I hosted a spinoff called Champions and she
was on it. Okay, so and then I went to
the main flagship, you know, but I was og man,
think about it. You know when you look at melb
she's been in one of the most famous groups, like
the Beatles. You know, you're talking about someone who knows
(01:22):
talent inside and out. Yeah yeah, yeah, No, Mel's cool.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Hey, you're also and everybody still hates Chris your boys,
Chris Rock's dad, Julius. That's got to be fun, man,
that's the best kind of gig right show?
Speaker 2 (01:34):
How you want, man, Well, you know, to do the
live action and then to bring it back as an
animated show. You know years later. It's a it's a dream, brother,
keep the thing going. I know the character inside it out.
Me and Tashina Arnold, you know, we were sympatico.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
She actually taught me how to act back when I
was doing that show. And now to do it again animated.
We can go forever. That's the plan. Let's get some
of that family guy right kind of stuff. You know
what I mean? I want that like twenty year longevity
on this show. I know what you mean for sure, man.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
And what's up with the rumor that white Chicks Too
is actually happening.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
First of all, Marlon said it, and I'm with it.
As soon as they first that green light on that
whole thing. Man, I'm there, bro, I got the abs.
I'm keeping everything in shape. I'm ready to go. You
know what I mean. You always dialed there money. With
the technology they have, now you can actually do it
as if the movie takes place the next day. You
(02:36):
know what I mean. They age them, they can put
the stuff on them as crazy. You don't need to
go into twenty years. We can actually make it, so
you go the next day after the party.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
So it's funny that you said that a buddy of
mine was showing me today that he edited a little
short film on an app. But it's all he put
himself and other people that It's all AI in digital
and it looks real. It looks So I'm like, yo,
you can make a whole movie now on your phone
and people. You don't have to cast anybody. The thing
(03:06):
is wild. So we could keep working, but put us
on you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Oh, Man, opportunities abound, brother, Yeah, I want to take
advantage of all of them. I'm putting myself in the
computer and I.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Got no problem, I got I got you there and finally,
this is cool. You recently partnered with Starbucks to help
launch a new coffee blend called.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Sinsa Yes Blend.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
I had a Strawbug's just about every day I'm a
I'm a cold brew VENTI guy, splash of skim milk,
one splendor and uh and then I'm good to go.
But then my new habit is peeing after that, because yo,
you just got pea forever after you take that big
ass saying what's your go to drink?
Speaker 2 (03:44):
And well, tell me about the blend.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
I imagine this is the drink.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
I like it black, but I also like to make
it at home, and the Sonsarah blend is available in
all the grocery stores. Man, you can take it home.
I have a routine at my house. You know, I'm
intermittent baths. I'll eat till two, but between ten and
eleven thirty, I always make my own coffee, okay, And
it's part of my routine, and it's part of the
(04:07):
thing that really helps me listen. It got me through
so many things in that period. That hour period in
my day is when I write down all my goals,
I make my plans, I focus my life. And this
is the message I'm trying to send by partner and
with Starbucks on this, because it's really about these routines
that make you successful. You know what I mean, You're
(04:27):
exactly Listen. I go back to those lists that I
made when I was doing those coffee breaks, and I
hit every one of those goals. Brother, I'm trying to
tell you it's really magic.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
I'm all about lists and I'm gonna try this flavor.
But real quick question. You said you do the internet
in fast and you go from when to when?
Speaker 2 (04:45):
I go from two to ten pm? Two top eat
it too? And then I don't. I stopped eating by
ten pm? And when do you work out in the
morning early?
Speaker 1 (04:55):
How do you deal with the energy and stuff?
Speaker 2 (04:57):
It's crazy. My body is used to it, you know
what I'm saying?
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Like you have can you have coffee? Like before you
work out? Can you have that at least just.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
What I do? I usually have, like ef A drink bcas,
so you know, I put the bcas in my water
and that's it, you know what I mean. And I'm
drinking water all day.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
And your energy's okay for the workout and everything.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Crazy, you know, but my biggest meal is at night,
so you know what I mean, I'm basically working out
on that. You know what I mean. Have you hooked
up and not been hungry you know what all the time?
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Yeah, because I'd be crushing it and that's the way
I am. But I'd be eating all day. I got
everybody casting is so I've got so many people that
I know, and people in great shape like yourself do it,
and I'm just i gotta try it, just because I'm
not a little fat kid. Terry, I like to eat
all the time, but I'm always concerned, like in the morning,
like as far as my energy. But if you're telling
me your energy is fine, I guess. Yeah, you have
(05:49):
a big meal. You just kind of get up and
then we also, what time are you working out?
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Early? Early in the morning, like Terry, I'm early. I'm
like five in the morning. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Yeah, me too. I'm a little more like six thirty.
But still, yeah, I work.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Out on an empty stomach at five am?
Speaker 1 (06:01):
Yeah, no, I guess I yeah, but then I immediately
after because then I'm starting. You don't eat till two,
so you don't even go with protein shake.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
No, not at all, really no, I least the way
I do it. Man. And this is the thing because
but you feel okay, you feel okay, I feel great,
But I don't have to think about food. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
you know what I mean. You're thinking about your life,
you know what you think about all these other things
you gotta do, and then by the time it becomes
two pm, you're like, oh, yeah, I gotta eat it.
(06:30):
To me, it's always good to be a little bit hungry,
you know what, I know. It does it keeps you.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
So I'm sorry to ask any questions about this, but
so you eat at two pm, and then does that
mean you eat whenever you want up until ten or
do you have like a regiment like every three hours?
Speaker 2 (06:41):
Or I tried to do that and you find it's
too much, you know, because you know, when you haven't eaten,
your stomach is smaller. So I have a small meal
and then I'll have a protein shake and then I
have start eating like regularly. But by that time, you know,
the day is gone. You know, this is thin. It's
about passing for me, it's more so, it's more. It's
(07:03):
not about just the body. It's about the discipline, Yes, discipline.
Everything that is within your reach is not meant to
be in your hand. You know what I'm saying. Yes,
it's like telling your body. No, you're going to do
it when I tell you, you do it. And it's a
ripple effect that affects everything in your life. You learn
how to turn things down, you learn how to say
(07:24):
no to stuff. You know. You can't listen to your body, man,
It'll always tell me the wrong thing, you know what
I mean. You have to tell yourself what you want,
and especially when your goal, when you when you have
goals and the whole thing. Sometimes and man, the right
decision sometimes doesn't feel good.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
So one of my bodies, so one of my body says,
eat a third TwixT. I should be like, no, right,
but do but wait.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
I do have those special times when it's like, all right,
here we go. I'm in the movie theater at the
same time exactly, you know, you have those moments where
you enjoy it. To me, it's about being mindful, you
know what I mean, Just knowing when you're going off
and you say, okay, I have allowed this time to
do whatever. But what happens is if you don't know
(08:10):
you're going off and you're going off, You're going to
be off the road. You see what I'm saying, And
that's dangerous. So I'm always just it's the discipline is
more important than anything. I agree.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
I'm gonna try it. I'm gonna try, I'm gonna ty,
I'm gonna try it. I'm gonna report back.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
You know, every everybody has their own flow though.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
You know, I'm gonna try their own.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
I'm gonna try. Is gonna come in here day one.
I'm about to pass out.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
I'm about to pass out of all.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
I have that coffee, man. And again, you know that's
another thing with teaming with Starbucks and Sereblin on this thing.
It's just because you know, it's part of my routine,
you know what I mean, And it's part of the
system that I've created. But these these things create successes. Man.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Yeah, I reach that all the time.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
You're exactly right. I love it. I love it.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
