Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're on with Mario a little bit. It's up you
all with Mario Lopez joining me now on zoom from
the show The Real Dirty Dancing and Bachelor Nation Tyler
Camera and welcome to the show man. How are you good,
Marri Thanks for having me on. How's everything going. It's
going well, it's going well. Uh. Happy belated birthday. I
appreciate it. I appreciate it was a good one. It's
been with families, so it was nice and easy. Twenty nine.

(00:23):
Oh wow, baby, your baby haven't even hit your stride.
Jet would you do to celebrate? Just hang out with
the fan? Yeah, I just have out a fami. My
brother barbecued and it was a good old time. There
you going. Well, let's let's talk real Dirty Dancing first. Um,
is it essentially Dancing with the Stars but moves from
the movie itself? Uh No, I'd say it's more like

(00:47):
I mean, of course, the competition side of it. You know,
people are gonna get eliminated. It's gonna be a winner
at the end of it. So like that part to it, Yes, not,
as we don't give as much time to get to
the stars like they get a week to prepare. We
get them. We get a day. Oh really, why so
we get a day to learn this and put it
all together and make it happen. So we're definitely like
under like a time crunch, but also like we get

(01:07):
to kind of relive the moments like Johnny and Baby
made icon of you know, the lake and all these things.
So it's it's like summer camp. It's way more fun
toting with the start like I imagined, because they grind,
they work, and other people have done it. We had
we had a ball. Oh good, Yeah that does sound
like a little more of fun. And then uh like
I twitches there too, right Rich and he's incredible. Oh man,

(01:28):
you know he won. He was funny, he had great jokes,
but also he was like a great person, who have
there to help us with dancing and learning and all
that because he's a legendary, well made you want to
do the show? I just thought it'd be fun. Um.
I love the dance. I basically almost funked out of
college and so my football culature was like you need
to dance to get your g p A up. So
through me and dancing classes and I loved it, and

(01:50):
I got my g P up and and all that,
so I stuck with it. Almost was a dance miner
and then uh yeah, so like when this opportunity camp,
was like, heck, yeah, I want to do it. I
love dancing. You know, the movie's iconic to be a
part of this, and the cast was incredible, so I
was like, hey, yeah, man, yeah, I'm sure you're gonna
surprise a lot of people. And other people in the
cast include Howie from the Backstreet Boys, Antonio Gates, Chargers Legend,

(02:14):
there Brie Bella of course, w w e um, who'd
you kick it with the most um? You know, Antonio
Gates were football guys, so we definitely hit it off
right away. But like there was so much time spent
with everyone. I only out a cord bint a ton.
We hit it off. Howie was so cool and so fun,
and all the ladies were incredible, you know Lonnie. Lonnie

(02:37):
was like, you know, my big sis. Right away, she
was my partner, so we got to dance connect roof around.
But also she was like to teach me about this industry,
in this whole world. I'm just a little guppy in
this world trying to figure it out. And so it
was cool to be at those bets who are like,
you know, we're there to talk me through a lot
of things. It sounds like you're you're doing all right though.
So far um a couple of months back and made

(02:57):
a cameo and SNL with with Kim Kari hash And
how did you get connected with that? Uh? Well, I
was at a wedding. You're supposed to go to my
buddy's wedding the next day, and I get a call
I'm in South Carolina, like, hey, they want you for
Saturday night love. Like this is a joke, right, let
me pass passed it to my manager like I was like,
I don't think this is real, but you can figure
it out. And they're like this is the real deal,

(03:18):
Like you need to go up like go up there
tomorrow morning. And so I called my friends like, man,
I gotta miss your wedding. I'm sorry. Were you the
best man? I hope you were at the best No,
I wasn't the best man. I wasn't even I was
eating part of like you know whatever the groom's man.
But so I saw he was like, man, go cross
it and go have fun. So I left, and uh
I went out there and did it and it was.

(03:38):
It was awesome, it was so cool. Nice. Hey, that's
a good friend. You understood like that. What about what
about your day in life? You're seeing anyone at the
moment or what's going on? Mario Man, nobody, absolutely nobody.
That's good. That's good. Just a great thing. It's a
great thing. You know. I went to relationship, you know,
last year, and right now I'm just like, I'm so
busy and so focused, and it'll come. It always, it'll come.

(04:01):
It comes when I was supposed to. That's exactly. I'm
not rushing it so but I just have so much
on my play. I'm just having fun with working and
grinding and getting going. That's it. Just focus on that
and the rest will pop up when you don't even
know it. Where's home now? Between New York and Jupiter, Florida? Jupiter, Florida,
where's uh, what's the nearest big city to Jupiter? Bobach bombs? Okay,

(04:22):
so South Florida? Still okay? Nice? Good for you, man, Well,
I look forward to checking out the show and seeing
you do your thing. The name of it, of course,
is a real dirty dancing that's Tuesdays on Fox. Tyler,
thanks for hanging out. Have a good one, all right,
you too, Bud. Take care of with Mario. A little
past
