Speaker 1 (00:01):
All right, thank you Scott Shannon, and thank you for
being with us. Write down our toll free telephone number.
It's eight hundred and nine to four one Sean if
you want to be a part of the program. A
lot coming up on the show today. Also expect the
president might be taking questions. He did have a cabinet
meeting earlier today. I kind of like the fact. I mean,

(00:21):
we need to go and start researching the time that
the president has given to the press and compare it
to Joe Biden. I think I think after one hundred days,
he might have surpassed the entire forty years of the
time that Joe Biden gave the press because he opens
it up every day. I mean, it's kind of cool

(00:42):
to see a president with his cabinet in the Roosevelt
Room in a meeting with the press allowed and asking
questions as usual, and his availability in his time on
display so people can see what he's doing. But you know,
it is amazing to watch and to listen to the Democrats.

(01:05):
Let me play for you the Democrats melt down about
Donald Trump's first one hundred days. And just while you're
listening to this, just remember the party that they have
become Chuck Schumer is now polling at a wopping seventeen percent.
You're now probably seeing the last days of Chucky. If

(01:26):
AOC primaries him, she will win. Question is whether or
not she has her eyes on running for president over
being the senator from the horrific state of New York.
It's become horrific because it's run by Democrats for decades
and they've run it into the ground. And I don't
think Andrew Cuomo is going to change New York City.

(01:47):
I mean, there are parts of New York that are
still nice, but upstate New York never got the financial
boost that it was it's certainly capable of getting had
they opened up cracking. I mean, it's hilarious because you know,
just across the border in Pennsylvania, they're fracking away right
next to that border and probably taking most of New
York's gas with it. It's so stupid on their part,

(02:11):
and they just refuse to do the common sense things,
and they just if you go into New York City,
for example, you're paying a commuter tax. I think you'll
be paying like fifteen bucks each way just for the
right to go into the city. If you go in
certain areas in New York City. It's crazy. But just remember,
this is the party of petulant anger, sit ins, slogans, singings,

(02:38):
and you know, bingo paddles. And this is the party
now led by the squad AOC Jasmine Crockett, Grandpap Bernie.
This is the party that has lost its soul in
any decency and the only thing that they're left doing
is lashing out. It won't stand for moms that lost
their kids, for wives that lost their hero husband officers,

(03:02):
or even a twelve year old kid that be cancer.
Pretty unbelievable to me. And and and they're void of ideas.
I mean, watching this weekend, this stupid capital steps, you know,
Hakim Jeffreys and Corey Booker and the singer, I mean,
it's like, eugh, it's so cringe inducing. And they're melting down.

(03:26):
And Donald Trump is moving at the speed of light.
John Donald Trump made the country forget about Paul everything else.
This country is more safe and more secure today. He
stopped all these illegal immigrants. I'll give you the numbers
in a minute. And he's now in the process of
deporting them. And Democrats are in the process of trying

(03:46):
to prevent him from being able to deport illegal immigrants.
And add to that, he's he's opened up energy production
in this country and we're ready or beginning to produce
it as of yes yesterday. And give that a year
or two and let's see the impact it has on
the economy. And we'll talk about the economy a little

(04:07):
bit and look at what the president has done as
it relates to waste, fraud and abuse. But that's a
constitutional crisis in so many people's minds. I mean, if
you just if you're objective and you look at the
president and what he's doing with immigration and manufacturing. He's
bringing back to this country nearly ten trillion dollars in

(04:29):
committed moneys for manufacturing, including in the auto industry. He's
ending in doctrination in our schools, eliminating wokeness, ending waste fraud, abuse, corruption,
and he said yesterday it's common sense, which by the way,
is not so common. And he wants the next generation
of weaponry, including an iron dome that if that's accomplished,

(04:52):
that would go down probably is as greate as Legacy.
Wants lower taxes, He wants the tax cuts permanent, no
tax on tips, soecurity or over time, he's pushing hard
for low interest rates, a strong military, gas and energy.
What did the Democrats stand for today? Paddles, bingo paddles.

(05:15):
They stand for what the rights of illegal immigrants and
championing the rights of men to play women's sports, and
they think that is wrong and a crisis. If we
cut out waste for an abuse, it's insane. They've lost
their soul, they lost their way, they lost the President
said last night, they lost their confidence. I think they've

(05:36):
they are so far gone. I don't know how they recover.
I really don't, and I don't see anybody emerging. And
I think is outside of that box that the Democratic
Party now finds itself in, which is the radical box.
I think the most powerful thing the President said of

(05:56):
Michigan Land last night is, you know, we're standing up
for Mainstrea, set against fall Street. We're protecting the middle class,
not the political class. And over time we'll see that.
But this is how Democrats and the corrupt state run
media mob reacted. Let me tell you, we have a
thug and charge of the United States, and if we

(06:18):
don't wake up, we may not have a United States.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
I don't swear in public very well. But Trump trouble
Donald Trump, and and what Grant said is there are
but two parties in America right now, patriots and traders.
This isn't hyperbole to say that we are staring the

(06:43):
death of democracy in the eyes right now.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
I have nothing to do with you supportive of these onesies.
I'm supportive of vaccines? Are you supportive of these clothing?
Donald Trump and his co president Elon Musk, and they're
enablers in Congress and the coursing over time to strip
away our rights. When is it going to be enough?
My voice is inadequate. My efforts today are inadequate to

(07:08):
stop what they're trying to do.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
You get your luster of hands?

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Money? Is your lust of moon alone? I mean, well,
worry the patriots are traders. They consider themselves the patriots here.
Look this, this one hundred days of Trump have been
nothing short of historic. One of the things you've you've
got to understand and maybe appreciate throughout the next You know,

(07:37):
three and three quarter years that we have left with
Donald Trump here is you're not going to see any
or three and two thirds, whatever, whatever the number is,
years that we have left with him, assuming stays healthy,
assuming that that you know, there's not another would be
assassin out there, God forbid. And there's been so much

(07:58):
violent rhetoric it's it's absolutely chilling. But let me tell
you this is not a president you will see often
in the course of history. This is a president that
is as bold as anybody that I've ever seen, the

(08:19):
most influential, consequential. Even Atlantic Magazine had a pretty good
line about it, that we've seen in our lifetime. And
what you are witnessing are big items that he's taking
on and also trying to fulfill promises that he made
on the campaign trail. The most success we can measure

(08:40):
at this point is on the border. And you know,
we can list as accomplishments and we'll go through many
of them again today. But you know the problem is
is you have a state run, legacy medium mob that
is obsessed, addicted to and it's it is a result
in their demise in the end, hating this man. It's

(09:04):
twenty four to seven, NonStop hate rage, peddling conspiracy theories
and lies about him. And you know, the president slashed
a record number of regulations, He will make the tax
cuts for the middle class in this country permanent. He's
helping American working Americans out with no tax on tips

(09:25):
or overtime. That's what that makes a big deal in
people's lives. He's also declared a National Energy Emergency, which
has allowed the immediate production of more energy, including off
shore drilling in the Gulf of America that started yesterday.
They celebrated the first you know, production of this new venture.
It's just off the coast of Louisiana, Mississippi. He has

(09:48):
pulled the US from job the job killing Paris Accords,
you know, the Paris Accords that classify India and China
as developing nations, and we pay the the bulk of
the cost and they're by far the biggest polluters. The
President now, i think, is paved the way for America

(10:09):
to get rich with energy by ending Biden's liquefied natural
gas export ban. Now, the cost of energy is already
down all across the country, and I'm seeing places in
the country now that under two bucks a gallon. In
my free state of Florida, it's around two seventy a gallon,
which is a lot lower than it used to be.

(10:30):
And you know, those ha saved as of now one
hundred and sixty billion dollars and they're still counting, not
to mention twenty six hostages that have been brought home,
Not to mention that he is not going to sit
back and allow terrorists to control the you know, the

(10:51):
oceans of the world and disrupt trade in the world.
And that's why he's gone after the Houti rebels also
for what they've been doing with Israel. Iran is now
facing a moment of truth and he's giving them an out.
But that out is going to be firm, and that
probably will mean the dismantling of their nuclear capabilities and

(11:14):
also American inspectors anywhere any place anytime, or they probably
won't have nuclear facilities or refineries to make money, and
that's going to be on them. But the world can't
risk a nuclear armed Iran. Now, yes, the president, it's
a little painful to go through, you know, a disruption
or a change, but you know, the choice to me

(11:38):
is very clear. Either you allow what has existed for
the last fifty or sixty years, and that is countries
to rip us off and abuse us and put tariffs
on our products and hurt our manufacturing and hurt our
farmers and hurt our cattle people and ranchers, or you
just you stand up to these countries. They all appear

(12:00):
to be willing to make a deal. That's going to
take time. And the sooner these deals come through, I
think the better it's going to be for the global economy.
The President is holding China accountable. I mean the amount
of terrace they put on American products. It's hurting, it
hurts American businesses. And meanwhile their businesses are allowed to
flourish here in this country. And we can go on

(12:22):
and on and on. You know, then you talk about
the border, I mean border encounters it down by nearly
what ninety five percent, encounters with gotaways down ninety five percent,
Migrant crossings down nearly one hundred percent. We went from
one hundred and sixty thousand ice encounters a month under

(12:42):
Biden to around seven thousand under Trump. Almost zero released
into the country, and the deportation numbers are growing. Over
sixty five thousand illegal immigrants in Trump's first hundred days,
and they arrested another sixty six thousand, most of which
have criminal charges for convictions five hundred for murder, thirteen

(13:04):
hundred for sex offenses, twenty three hundred gang members, and
these are dangerous offenders, but they have champions, They have
the whole Democratic Party establishment. Although there is a report
out today that Hakeem Jeffries is telling them maybe we
want to stop standing up for OReGO whatever his name is, Garcia.

(13:27):
Maybe this Abrego Garcia is not our top priority. Is
a report in the New Republic that Jeffries was asked
about the trips to Al Salvador by Chris van Holland
in four House Democrats, and Jeffries avoided the questions, saying,
our reaction to the trips is that Donald Trump has
the lowest approval rating of any president modern American history. Well,

(13:48):
first of all, by any of these the mainstream media
polls that were off by ten points or seven more
eight points during this past election cycle, and those are
the polls they're sighting. They're not citing the polls that
were actually correct. Like McLaughlin and Rasmussen. I know that
Trafalgar an insider advantager in the field now, so we'll

(14:08):
get a good a good handle on that in the
days to come. And the Democrats have been polling consistently
in the twenties. Chuck Schumer's at seventeen percent. They're gonna
lecture anybody about polls. But you know, Jeffrey's disdain towards
Democratic trips to El Salvador cooperated by two sources, So

(14:29):
apparently they're realizing a breako Garcia maybe may not be
their best political strategy anyway, eight hundred ninety four one.
Shaw is on number. I don't know if I feel
sorry for Gretchen Whitmore or it's just he's just pathetic.
I mean, the thing about Whitmer is, you know, remember
when she showed up at the White House and didn't
want her photo taken and and put something over her face,

(14:54):
and you know, anyway, so the President goes to Michigan yesterday.
One of the main reasons he went there, and the
main reasons that Gretchen Whitmer went to see him, was
to keep open an air base there. And as a
matter of fact, the President unveiled new plans when he

(15:14):
stopped at Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Michigan and
announced plans to swap out the retiring A ten Warthog
aircraft for the brand new F fifteen ex Eagle to
fighter jets, which is a great announcement and a great

(15:35):
benefit for the state of Michigan. And then Gretchen Whitmer
got called up and now is risking being called out
by Democrats and ostracized by Democrats. Now what I don't
understand in all of this is there's something very bizarre
going on here, because if you really think about it,

(15:57):
all she did was advocate for her state. Michigan desperately needs.
Michigan more than any other state got hit when auto
manufacturing moved overseas. I mean, Detroit fully lost half their
population half of it. They were bulldozing entire neighborhoods after
they tried to sell them on eBay for a dollar

(16:18):
just to get the tax burden off their back. That
they had to consolidate services, buldozing entire neighborhoods because the
population loss was that severe. America's once great cities, it
was in significant decline. Now there's a chance that they
might be able to bring back a lot of this
manufacturing thanks to President Trump. You would think that Whitmer

(16:40):
would be happy. You would think that Whitmer wouldn't be
you know, pounded for this. And Okay, she's there because
she wanted this Airbase, save this Guard Bay saved and Democrats,
you know, refused to be in the same room with
Donald Trump and she's in the same room with Donald
Trump and then hides her face. And I think she

(17:01):
had an opportunity to kind of educate Democrats that you're
better off working with President Trump than fighting against them,
and he actually did the wrong thing. And that is
you know, there's a headline on AP news whitmer risks
the backlash from Democrats as she embraces Trump in Michigan.
What was she supposed to not not be there? It's

(17:23):
pretty unbelievable. Now if you listen to the media, they
have they have one narrative about what's going on in
one hundred days, and they don't want to And the
Democrats have their they have their their scorecard, and it
says it all when they keep showing up with the
twenty percent approval rating. The American people have had it.

(17:44):
And the President signed one hundred and forty two executive
orders in one hundred and forty two days, inflation at
a manageable two point four percent, and you know, at
its peak was nine point one percent under Biden. Illegal
border cross which in what December or a year and
a half ago, is what two hundred and forty nine

(18:06):
thousand now down to seven one hundred and eighty one.
In the first one hundred days border crossers allowed to
stay in the US, there were only nine, mostly for
medical reasons. On the tariff issue, it's too early to
tell for sure. And the President is moving at the

(18:28):
speed of light. On energy, he's made to say the
country more safe and secure. I mean it's it's really
on every single issue he's laid the foundation for great success.
The most the quickest and most obvious is illegal immigration.
He secured the border and now he's removing criminal illegal

(18:50):
immigrants in the country. On the economy, definitely, you know,
you get it incomplete. Nope, we're still living with the
Biden Harris economy. And I'm going to get into some
of these numbers here in a second. But you can't
blame him. I mean, the choice was either you go
along with the policies of being abused and taken advantage

(19:12):
of by friend and foe alike with tariffs, or you
challenge the system. He has chosen the road less traveled,
the harder route, and that is you know what, let's
fight for better trade deals with our friends and our allies.
And okay, so let's see what happens the President on

(19:33):
the economy. Great article by Steve Moore in the New
York Post today. He's slashed all these regulations. Biden's regulatory
assault it costs the economy an additional twenty thousand dollars
per family over four years. Trump's in one in for
ten out deregulation rule is already saving families two thousand

(19:54):
dollars and estimated savings of about one hundred and eighty
billion a year. He's replacing welfare with work, and as
Steve Moore pointed out, that's economics one on one. You
pay people not to work, and then taxing for working,
you reduced output and increase unemployment. And the labor force
participation rate for March was just sixty two point seven percent,

(20:17):
down from sixty six percent twenty years ago. Trump has
already started to create new rules requiring able bodied adults
to get jobs. He's deploying America's abundant resources, which, frankly,
you know, we've got hundreds and hundreds of year's worth
of natural gas, oil and coal available, which can make

(20:38):
us the richest country on Earth. Why do we talk
about oil rich countries all the time eliminating waste, fraud
and abuse. Well, Biden, he had six trillion dollars in
his spending spree push government outlays to forty percent of
our GDP. And meanwhile, Elon Musk has found already a
whopping one hundred and sixty billion in waste fraud and abuse,

(21:02):
three hundred and fifty billion in energy slush funds that
can be returned to the treasury. I mean, this is
real money that can be used to shore up social
Security and Medicare, et cetera, you know, all successful issues.
I mean, the president helped free these hostages in in
in Gaza. He helped free twenty six other Americans held

(21:25):
unfairly around the world in the time he's been president.
And you know, and he said that, as he said
last night, he's just getting started. Give the guy a
little bit of time. I mean, the walls of the
Events Center were packed, you know, and and the Big Eight,
the Big messages jobs in America, He's got what eight

(21:46):
ten trillion dollars committed to manufacturing in America and not
overseas as a result of his tariff threat. He never
gets any credit for that. I mean, it's it's pretty
amaze to watch this. But don't ever expect ever the
left is ever going to give him credit for anything,

(22:06):
because they're not. It's not in them to give him
credit for anything. Now, on the economy, we got a
lot of news in today and if you listen to
if you listen to the mainstream media, the doom and
gloom even they had predicted that the sky would be falling,
and the GDP report this morning showed very slight negative

(22:30):
economic growth three tenths of one percent in the first quarter,
which had the Democratic media pretending that the economy is collapsing. Well,
it's anything but especially when you look at the deeper
into the numbers. In fact, the Democrats and their experts
were actually predicting, frankly, hoping for a much bigger decline
based on the doom and gloom predictions from Jerome Powells

(22:52):
Federal Reserve. But just last week the Atlanta Fed was
even telling us that the first quarter GDP would go
off the cliff of the wopping two point seven percent
decline that would be a full nine times worse than
today's actual number. The GDP drop was actually supposed to
be much worse. In fact, many components of today's GDP

(23:13):
when you look deeper into the numbers, were unexpectedly strong.
Personal consumption came in at one point two to one percent.
That translate into an annualized personal consumption of one point
eight percent, which is much higher than what was expected.
Fixed investment jumped one point three four percent, up from
zero point negative zero point two percent, which is the

(23:37):
highest since the second quarter of twenty twenty three. Private
inventory surge the wopping two point twenty five percent. Government spending, however,
decline by a quarter of a percent, which is the
biggest drop since Joe Biden started boosting spending to push
GDP higher in twenty twenty two. And finally, most importantly,

(23:57):
net trade exports less imports delivered a wopping four point
eight three hit to the final GDP number. This was
entirely the result of soaring imports into the country. The
government's Bureau of Economic Analysis confirmed and said the decrease
in real GDP in the first quarter primarily reflected in

(24:18):
the increase in imports, which are a subtraction in the
calculation of GDP, and a decrease in government spending these
movements were partly offset by increases in investment, consumer spending,
and exports. You know, barons actually put out there that
the US economy, the underlying data shows trends under the

(24:39):
hood that should dampen any fear of a recession. One
of the key areas of optimism is the fact that
the consumer consumer spending is up, posting a gain of
one point eight percent of the first quarter. Despite you know,
these predictions of doom and gloom, it seems that there's
still a little correlation between how Americans feel and how

(24:59):
they sho up and spend. Additionally, real final sales to
private domestic purchasers, widely considered to be the engine of
the economy, posted a decent gain in three percent in
the first quarter, compared with an increase of two point
nine percent in the fourth quarter of last year. And meanwhile,
Wall Street Journal at a great piece chronicling the communist

(25:20):
Chinese in their economy at which has started to crack
under the pressure of Donald Trump's tariffs. Wall Street Journal
China's economy showed up showed its first big signs of
damage from the trade war, as steep US tariffs pummeled
export orders and production at the country's factories. A gauge
of new export orders fell in April to the lowest

(25:42):
reading since COVID nineteen, which ravaged the country in twenty
twenty two, while overall manufacturing activity in China was the
weakest in more than a year. According to surveys published
Wednesday by China's National Business Statistics Bureau of Statistics, are
pullback shows that Donald Trump's tariffs on Chinese imports are

(26:04):
starting to squeeze the engine room of China's economy, piling
pressure on Beijing to boost its stimulus efforts to shore
up growth. It adds to pressure on President Chi to
reach a deal with President Trump, though for now, a
clear message from Beijing is one of resolute defiance in
the teeth of what it is describing as US bullying.

(26:25):
The people that have been doing the bullying would be
the communist Chinese. They put tariffs on pretty much everything,
and that hurts our manufacturers, that hurts our farmers, that
hurts our ranchers in this country. And this is pretty
basic and pretty fundamental stuff here. By the way, Transportation
Secretary Sean Duffy is vowed to yang funding for highway

(26:46):
projects and states that give drivers' licenses to illegals. That
is the right play. CBS wants to make a settlement
offer to end Trump's twenty billion dollar deceptive editing lawsuit.
The media hasn't had much to say about that lawsuit.
That's the one with Kamala Harris to help her win
the election. But according to The New York Times, Trump's

(27:08):
case against CBS has gotten the network's parent company Paramount
so worried that they've now come with a settlement figure
that they hope will make the case go away. I
guess they'll settle. I mean, if you compare Biden and
Trump in their one hundred days, there is no comparison

(27:28):
at all. You know, look at just the time that
Donald Trump spends with the media, Look at the time
he spends with the American people. Look at the amount
of work that he produces on a daily basis, which
makes it in many ways. And this was in the
Washington Examiner today, quote President Trump at one hundred days,
the most consequential in American history. This is the biggest,

(27:49):
most disruptive shakeup to the swamp, the sewer, the institution
of government that has been so needed for such a
long period of time, and that is a return to
the simple principles of our framers and our founders, rounded
in limited government, greater freedom for you, the American people,

(28:12):
and one that would restore constitutional order. By the way,
the Wisconsin High Court has suspended the judge accused of
helping that man evade ice. Whoopsie daisy. Liberal justices control
the court four to three. They ordered that the Judge
Dugan is temporarily prohibited from exercising the powers of the

(28:34):
Circuit Court judge and the state of Wisconsin effective this date. Yeah,
judges have to obey laws too. I know that sounds strange.
