Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, Thank you Scott Channon, thanks to all of
you for being with us. Happy Friday. Right down on
toll free telephone number. If you want to be a
part of the program, it's eight hundred nine to four
one Seawan if you want to join us.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
I don't know. I mean, we're just sitting here.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
I am amazed at what's going on with Nutty Newsom,
Gavin Newsom. If you want to trigger Gavin Newsom, now
I know, not Gavin Newsom. Well, and when you meet
him in person, he's very personable. He really is. I
mean there was a time where we actually got along.
When I did the interview with him, I went out
to California. We said down, I challenged him on everything,
(00:39):
gave him time to speak. Then that led to the
debate with my now governor. I was not living in
California at the time, on Florida at the time, but
that led to the debate with Governorron DeSantis, which I
thought was great. And you know the problem, he's just
gone nutty and he's having this this identity crisis that's
(01:01):
going on, and he thinks it's funny, he thinks it's cute,
and he is sounding more radical and more extreme by
the day. For example, he's talking about punching lawmakers in
Texas in the face, punching them in the mouth. By
the way, for the record, as you listen to this,
(01:22):
I am volunteering to get in the way and rather
most politicians, let's be honest about it, they can't defend themselves.
I've been training fifteen years situational self defense. I'll let
him throw the first punch. Doesn't mean I can't block it.
I'll let him throw the first punch. And if he wants,
if he really has this desire to punch somebody in
(01:45):
the mouth, I'm willing to take the hit rather than
some you know, some defenseless politician. Not that I think
Gavin's this, you know, strong brutal fighter, but he sounds
like it's I'm almost embarrassed for him because he's changed
on a daily basis. It's embarrassing. It's like a clown show.
It's like, well, Gavin Newsan's gonna wake up. What Gavin
(02:07):
are we going to get today? The Gavin that wants
to interview Steve Bannon and Charlie Kirk and get caught
in a million lives in the Charlie Kirk interview about
LATINX and and gender affirming care and men playing women's sports,
or do you want to be mean Gavin, that's gonna
go to war with Donald Trump and he's gonna mock
Donald Trump, and he's gonna pretend to be Donald Trump,
(02:28):
and he's gonna interview Jasmine Crockett and he's gonna talk
about punching people in the face. It reminds me of
Joe Biden. Take him to the beck of the gym and
beat him. Meanwhile, the guy couldn't walk. But here's the
latest Gavin Newsome threat.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
The Republican parties. It doesn't even reflect itself. I mean,
look at look at these Republicans cowering to this guy.
Look at your Republican governor. He used to claim to
be a conservative. What a farce. Nothing conservative about this definition,
nothing conservative about that.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
This is radical rigging of a midterm election, radical rigging
of an election, destroying, vandalizing this democracy, the rule of law.
So I'm sorry. I know some people's sensibilities. I respect
and appreciate that, but right now, with all due respect,
we're walking down a damn different path. We're fighting fire
(03:24):
with fire, and we're gonna punch these sons in the mouth.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Fire with fire.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
We're gonna punch these sons of bitches in the mouth. Oh,
I'm really scared. The irony of all of this is
if there's any fighting fire with fire and in Texas,
they could jerry mander more. I mean, there could be
up to seven or eight seats that they would pick up.
(03:49):
Here's the irony of all of this. As he talks
about fighting fire with fire, he pretends is blatant jerry
mandering scheme, you know, as a battle for democracy, vandalizing democracies,
trying to take you know, the democracy argument. It didn't
work work well for Democrats in twenty twenty four. But
let's let's double down on dumb and stupid all of
(04:13):
this talk. Forget about the base of the Democratic Party,
which is now becoming marginalized. Look at the New York
Times analysis of voter registration across the country. You know,
there's a net gain of Republicans of five percent. That
is dramatic in a four year period of time. You know,
I'm sure moderates and I'm sure independents are listening to
(04:34):
you know, Nutty newsom here and they're thinking, oh, they're
inspired by a guy he's going to punch him in
the mouth. I don't think so. And he has something
called a record that he has to run on, and
you know, thirty years in the public eye and a
lot of videotape of Gavin Newsom, which is one thing
when when he debated Ron DeSantis, and I've got the
text to prove it. Oh, his team was adamant. I
(04:57):
not run any tape of Gavin saying anything. But that's
not going to be the case if he does decide
to eventually run for president.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Mark calpernill join us later.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
He actually thinks that he is by far the leading
candidate to win the nomination. He's not saying he'd win
the general election, but to win the nomination. The irony
of this is, you know, Gavin Newsom now is doing
the very thing that he says is vandalizing democracy by
getting state lawmakers. Now, you've got to understand it's a
(05:27):
battle in California to boost the bit of Democrats and
their twenty twenty eight nominee, but also for the twenty
six midterm elections. But you know, we had state lawmakers
out in California that all said they'd be against Gavin
Newsom's plan now giving in and they're trying to jerry
(05:47):
manner another five seats out of California. Now, the problem
number one that they have is with two thousand and
eight in twenty ten, they have a proposition or referendum
process in California ballot, an initiative where voters wrote state
law to cut politicians out of redistricting in California, putting
it in the hands of a citizen led independent commission.
(06:11):
So Gavin is vandalizing democracy, to use his words. Democrats
want a new ballot proposal to rewrite the law through
twenty thirty four voters to okay in a November fourth
special election. The problem number two they have is all
new bills are supposed to face this thirty day cooling
off period for review before lawmakers broke. But you know,
(06:33):
nutty Newsom is just obsessed and he wants to fight
fire with fire and punch people on the mount. But
Democrats are trying to rush through all of this, which
they've done. And if the states, you know, Democrats go
ahead with the plan, voters will reject the idea, and
the odds are very high that the courts will reject it.
Polling early this month, by the way, showed that the
(06:56):
voters at California now his approval rating is in the
low thirties the last that I saw, and they wanted
to stick with the independent Commission by a margin to
two to one. So I don't think he's gonna win
if if, in fact, the voters have a say on this,
and anyway, NonStop TV ads to sell voters, you know,
on this ridiculous of vindictive power grab of his I
(07:19):
don't think it's gonna work. But that's not Gavin's real
problem here. Gavin has is having some type of midlife
identity crisis, and Gavin is angry. I actually enjoyed the
fact that after I fact checked Gavin the other night
on TV, that he put out it. You know, he's
now trying to think that he's funny and sending out
(07:41):
Trump like tweets and going on podcasts, and there's a
problem he has. And this is a very very big problem.
You know, after years of one party rule, of which
he's been a big part of, the state of California
is in a status shambles. It leads the nation. And
(08:02):
by the way, just for the record, I lived in California.
Five years I lived in Santa Barbara. It is a
beautiful state. You know, if you drive the Pacific Coast
Highway from northern California to southern California, one of the
most picturesque, beautiful site you'll ever see as you drive
along the you know, Pacific Ocean. It's stunning. It's beautiful,
(08:23):
and you know it used to be. Go west, young man,
go to the Golden State. Go to California. You know
where your dreams will come true. Not anymore, it's where
your nightmares begin. They have stunning natural resources. They do
have a very good weather, like my free state of Florida,
beautiful geography, and it's become so unlivable. But it's the
(08:44):
number one state that people are fleeing. You have the
largest mass migration out of a state in the state
of California. And you can blame only one thing for this,
This radical democratic agenda now led by Governor Gavin Newsom.
He's been let's see, mayor of San Francisco, leading into
(09:06):
Luke Tenant governor now governor. He's wrapping up his second
term and he wants to run for president. He wants
to promote wants a promotion. And if he thinks that,
you know, you know, trying out all these different personalities,
it's like he's schizophrenic. One day he wants let's have
conversations with the other side. Let's bring in Steve Benn
(09:26):
and let's bring in Charlie Kirk. That didn't work out
too well. Now he's decided, Okay, we're gonna we're gonna
go We're gonna we're gonna mock Donald Trump, and we're
gonna go on next and we're gonna post things that
then in all caps, and we're gonna try and act
like Donald Trump, and we're gonna go after Fox News hosts.
And Okay, that's not the guy I knew. It's actually
(09:48):
it's nutty, it's weird. It's actually I'm embarrassed for him.
But I don't want him to stop because the material
is too good. I mean, he went before he made
those comments about punching these people in the mouth. He
was in viewing Jasmin Crockett, maybe one of his chief
competitors for the twenty twenty eight presidential election campaign.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
On the jerry mandering issue, he's all over the place.
He's not being honest. He's intellectually lazy. But there is
something about Gavin Newsom. Having gotten to know him a
little bit, when you meet him, you'd like him. He's personable,
he's definitely slick. He's smooth talking. But he has a
track record and that's his biggest problem. If you want
(10:29):
to get under Gavin Newsom's skin, you know, me calling
him nutty Newsom is not going to really bother him.
I don't think Nuskemb does bother the hell out of him.
It really does. I know for a fact that it does.
I won't tell you how I know, but I know
if you call him Gavin nuskemb oh Man, he did
not like it.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
Anyway.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Oh, by the way, a reporter just asked if President
Trump's going to take part in the FAIFA events, and
what is the answer?
Speaker 2 (10:57):
He said, I may play. No, it's pretty funny.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Even wear shorts when he plays golf. I'm not really
sure what he's talking about.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
Uh, I mean, I see the money that the soccer
fl we call it soccer, but I see the money.
Let's move on. I want to focus on this anyway.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
If you want to get himTo a Gavenusssem's skin, call
him Gavin Newsom, that bothers him. You want to get
under Gaven Ussum's skin, Nutty Newsom, talk about what he
how he failed the people in the Pacific Palisades. You know,
we have firefighters showing up, willing to put their lives
at risk and put out the fires, only to discover
(11:43):
that there's no water. The state's water supply have been
totally mismanaged, a reservoir empty, critical fire hydrants not operational.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Now.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
His answer was, I'm on the phone with the president
right now, meaning at the time Joe Biden, he was not,
You're gonna have to ask local elected authorities. Boy, I
guess the buck doesn't stop with him. Neighborhoods burned to
the ground. According to the La Times, thirteen thousand households
were displaced. A friend of mine said, you know, as
(12:13):
of now, only one hundred and forty five of those
thirteen thousand lost households, only one hundred and forty five
successfully got a permit to rebuild more than seven months later.
You know, welcome to the bureaucracy that is in California.
One developer, you know, said this is impossible. You have
to deal with more than a half a dozen government agencies.
(12:34):
So so much for expediting that. But even before that,
housing costs out of control. You know, California has out
of the ten least affordable housing markets in the world,
four of them are in California. It's no surprise that
the state has the largest homeless population in the United
(12:54):
States States in terms of sheer numbers and per capita.
You know, if you know, look at for example, during
his debate with Florida Governor Ron de Santis, remember the
poop map. Look at the quality of life in San Francisco.
People shooting up in the middle of the street and
defecating all over the Ronda Santa showed a poop map
(13:17):
of San Francisco. Is embarrassing. That is a massive failure.
Income tax rates in California are the highest in the
entire country. Sales rate in California the highest rate in
the entire country. Gas taxes the highest in the entire country,
and it just went up again in twenty twenty five.
(13:38):
Corporate tax rate the sixth highest in the country. People
are leaving violent crime way above the national average. Education
they rank next to last in spite of taxing people
more than almost every other then more than every other state,
and they're near the bottom. Florida lowest taxes, number one
(13:59):
in schools for many years in a row, number one
or number two newsom sanctuary city state policies. You know,
that has resulted in disaster. We saw this unfold last night.
California accepted in the sanctuary state, this driver that killed
three people in my state of Florida. They gave him
a commercials driver's license. We're spending California spending billions of
(14:24):
dollars every year to pay for health care for illegals.
It's impacting their criminal justice system, it's impacting their educational system.
It's a disaster. And you know, if you're in California,
the highest tax state in the country, now you're also
facing a twenty billion dollar budget deficit. How can you
fail on that spectacular level? You know, the Democratic Party
(14:49):
is bleeding voters. There's a five million, nearly five million
registration shift in favor of Republicans. Gavin going keep doing
your podcast with Jasmine, you know, keep going out there
threatening to punch people in the mouth, you know, keep
talking about fighting fire with fighter fire. He keep appealing
(15:12):
to a dwindling radical leftist base, and I'm sure that
might get you the nomination. Good luck in a general
You know what the problem is with this, and this
is where it's getting. It's getting almost like uncomfortable. If
you see somebody that's like becoming a train wreck, if
you see somebody that doesn't really have their own their
(15:34):
own moral center or compass, when you see somebody that
is always trying to be somebody else. And you see
now the almost daily new manifestation of Gavin Newsom, you know,
it's embarrassing to watch it. It's kind of ugh, it's
so cringe inducing. Now, I'm sure that he thinks it's funny,
(15:57):
and I have no doubt, you know him now abandoning
interviewing or having conversations with conservatives and bringing on the
likes of Jasmine crocket And we'll play part of that
interview later in the program today. I'm sure in his
mind he's thinking, oh, this is great. I'm gonna I'm
gonna interview Jasmine Crockett and she's gonna call Republicans racist
and Marxist and fascist and talk about the Republicans and
(16:21):
democracies in peril and on and on and on. That
didn't work, and then he's got to defend his policies.
This is the problem he has. Douglas Murray captured this
really well in a New York Post column, and is
that you know, if you are failing at your day
job the way Gavin Newsom is failing in his day job,
(16:45):
then you become a podcaster. If you're failing at your
day job, then rather than help the thirteen thousand people
that deserved water when the Pacific Palisades fires happened, and
the water and the fire hydrants were empty and the
(17:06):
reservoirs were empty, and here we are seven eight months later,
whatever it is, and there's only one hundred of some
odd permits that have been approved, and you have to
go through six different government agencies. And then talk about
the government, you know, buying up large portions of land
for affordable housing, which is not exactly what the people
(17:29):
that own those homes and the Pacific Palisades want, and
promising people that you're going to expedite the process. To
me expediting the processes, you present plans and it's going
to be approved within like three days. You know, when
I when I had to do work on my place
in Florida, it took like no time at all. You
(17:50):
present plans, bring it to the board the next meeting, boom,
start building. And that's and and that's for everybody in
the Free State of Florida. But if you are failing
and your taxes are through the roof and you have
the highest you know, I go through this list, and
Gavin doesn't like his own list. Gavin really can't run
(18:11):
on his record. Gavin's not paying attention to the fact
that between twenty twenty and twenty twenty four, there's a
net gain of nearly five million registered Republicans over Democrats.
Democrats are losing millions of registered voters. Republicans are gaining
millions of registered voters. And if you look at your
state and you have the largest migration out of your
(18:33):
state in spite of the most beautiful terrain and coastline
in the entire country with the exception of Florida, and
you're losing people because you have the highest income tax
in the country, the highest sales tax in the country,
the highest gas taxes in the country, some of the
(18:54):
highest corporate tax rates in the country, the sixth highest
tax rate in the country. You know, if you have
this illegal immigrant problem, and it is costing your state
and your taxpayers billions and billions of dollars in medical
when you look at your violent crime rate well above
(19:14):
the national average, when you look at your quality of life.
Havevin newsom I have a tape of them back in twenty,
you know, over ten, twelve, fourteen years ago, his plan
to stop homelessness, it only got worse. The only thing
left for this guy to do, I guess, rather than
show up at work and solved problems, is to go
(19:36):
on X and you know, try to be Donald Trump.
I guess that's the only option if you fail at
your day job. You know, let's get angry that Donald
Trump is stepping up and sending in you know, law
enforcement and a defund dismantled, no bail law state that
(19:57):
is packed with the illegal immigrants along with the illeg
immigrants that came in unvetted, including known terrorists, rapist murderers,
other violent criminals, cartel members, and gang members. Let's get
angry at Donald Trump for that.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
You know.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
Let's be the state that during COVID that shuts down
the most. Let's be the state that doesn't let kids
have in person learning unless, of course, you're Gavin's kids,
and you go to a private school they had in
person learning, and let's close down restaurants. People put their blood,
their their toil, their hard work, their life's dream on
(20:31):
the line. You can't afford to be closed, and they're
going after, you know, stores that dared to open. Meanwhile,
Gavin has showing up with the French laundry, you know,
having dinner with his rich elitist friends in the middle
of COVID. So the rules didn't apply to anybody in
his life, you know, all the sycophants in his party.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
He's definitely getting the intention. I find it.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
I think I'm embarrassed for the guys. Somebody that you know,
has gotten to know him a little bit, He can
be personable. This is embarrassing. The record of his state
is embarrassing. He has failed spectacularly. He thinks that this
will get him the attention.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
Now.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
I don't disagree with my friend Mark Cupert will be
on later in the program today, who's basically saying that
Gavin Newsom is probably but they have such a weak
slate of candidates that he probably is the front runner
in terms of getting the nomination for twenty twenty eight.
(21:37):
But you know who's he going to be up against,
Josh Shapiro, Who's he going to be up against? Gasmin Crockett,
who was on his podcast yesterday. Is all this time
on his hands, And yet the homelessness crisis is out
of control. They have a massive budget deficit, they have
crime out of control, they have you know, defund dismantled
(21:59):
NOBILEL law. Is there a sanctuary state that won't comply
with the federal government. You want to talk about taking
a sledgehammer to democracy, Maybe he should learn what the
supremacy call clause means, and that would give jurisdiction on
the issue of illegal immigration. That would give it to
the federal government that is not the state government of California.
(22:20):
And I'm only pointing this out because between Mamdanni and
Jasmine and AOC and the Squad, and Gavin and Pocahontas
and Grandpa Bernie Nuddy Newsom, all of them combined, they're
all losing their minds. But the problem is is that
the base that is radicalized is already there. They're not
(22:44):
bringing anybody new to the table. Do you think anybody
is watching Gavin Newsom's antics? Any moderate or any independent
and saying, oh, yeah, we really want these policies nationwide.
Wait till Zoron Mamdani wins a New York And it
looks like he's going to win. The polls showed that
he's going to win. And I don't think, you know,
(23:07):
I don't know. I don't know what's going to happen
in New York City. I think there's going to be
a mass exodus. His latest proposal he's doubled down on,
and that is decriminalizing sex work and meaning prostitution. That's
not going to go over particularly well on my view.
But if you know, if this is what California wants
(23:28):
to do, you know, there's a bill in California right now.
This will be a big deal if Nutty Newsom actually
runs for office in the State Senate that could take
away parental rights. This is how The New York Post
wrote it up. He said that the California State Senate
is going to take one more step toward effectively ending
parental rights in the Golden State if the body's Appropriations
(23:51):
Committee they right approves the Assembly Bill four ninety five,
the Family Preparedness Plan Act of twenty twenty five they
write it sets up a floor vote on a law
that will allow nothing short of legal kidnapping and put
gender confused kids in unimaginable danger. Just stay with me
(24:13):
on this. As de transitioners, this is who's writing the
article here. It's written by a person named Chloe Cole
and Luke Heally. We know firsthand how parents' rights can
shield children from medical from a medical industry seeking to
(24:33):
drug and butcher them. When Luke was a teenager seeking
out cross sex hormones and permanently disfiguring surgeries to pursue
a false transition, as mother was the one who told
him no. As a nurse and a parent who refused
to consent to so called gender affirming care, Luke's mother
(24:56):
saved him from a lifetime of regret. California's AB four
ninety five, had it been in effect, Michelle's right to
make that decision on her son's behalf would have meant nothing.
Listen to this bill. Hear me out here if you
think that tampon Tim was bad. He wanted to put
feminine hygiene products in women and boys' bathrooms in grade school.
(25:20):
And of course he you know, his running mate wanted
gender affirming care for inmates and for illegal immigrants, that
you should pay for taxpayer fund that he wanted to
fund college tuition for illegal immigrants. But anyway, this California
bill as described by the New York Post, and these
people that are writing in this article, you know, Clo
(25:42):
Coal and Luke Kealley are de transition advocates and leading
subjects of the documentary series Identity Crisis. I don't know them,
but I read their article and I found it very interesting.
They claim this bill would permit any adult to claim
a mentoring relationship over any child and to live with
(26:07):
that adult, and allow the adult to quote mentor to
claim inability to contact the child's actual parents. It goes on,
it gets worse. A mentor can then become a child's
guardian simply by signing a one page affid. David those
(26:29):
behind AB four ninety five, has sold it as a
way for detained and deported illegal immigrant children to create
caregiving arrangements for their children. But the measure's scope is
broad enough to put every child in California in massive danger.
Now we're going to invite Gavin Newsom on the program.
We've reached out to his office. Many times for comments,
(26:50):
and see if he supports this, and see if he
agrees with this interpretation, give him equal time. Gender confused
children who often seek psychological affirmation and medical intervention against
their parents' wishes, are particularly at risk. If any adult
can claim authority over a child and give consent for
that child's medical and psychological decisions, parents can be rendered irrelevant.
(27:16):
Now there's been this pursuit, remember that, California, Minnesota. We've
talked about this before, Minnesota in particular. You know, you know,
tampon tim gender affirming care without parental consent. We're not
potted plants, you know. In my free state of Florida.
Last night, when we came on the air nine Eastern,
(27:36):
you know what do we show you? We showed you
the guy that entered from Mexico into the sanctuary state
of California, that got a legal commercials driver's license in California.
It turns out he didn't know how to read English,
barely understood English, and couldn't even read road signs. And
(27:58):
he has and he's a he's out there. It's like
giving him a you know, a bazooka, you know, because
he's driving an eighteen wheeler, but he can't read road signs,
so he tries to make an illegal U turn. As
a result, three people in Florida are dead. And they
transported this guy, The Lieutenant governor of Florida transported this
(28:20):
guy from California back to Florida. And hopefully this guy
spends the rest of his life behind bars or I
don't know. I'm a believer in the death penalty. But
when they tested this guy's out, he didn't understand English
and he didn't know how to read road signs. Why
would California ever give a commercial driver's license to that individual?
(28:43):
Why are Californians paying for the medical care for the
tens of millions of Biden Harris Mayorcis and Gavin Newsom
nutting Newsom's illegal immigrants that they don't vet. Why are
schools packed to the brim with the legal immigrant children, and,
as is often the case, they don't speak English, and
(29:07):
then all of the resources that would go to California
kids then have to go and be spent on English
as a second language classes. Don't wonder why California has
some of the worst public schools in the entire nation.
But Gavan's too busy with his team coming up with
clever ideas to pretend to be Donald Trump on X.
(29:28):
You know Donald Trump, and it's embarrassing. You know, maybe
you should go back to podcasting with conservatives, maybe knock
some sense into I don't know, we'll lotle more on
this coming up later in the program. If you look,
he is doing better than Kamala Harris in terms of
leading Kamala Harris among California Democratic voters and who should
(29:51):
run for president. But yet most Californians don't even want him,
and they don't even want Kamala Harris as the next governor.
