Speaker 1 (00:02):
Y'all know what time of y'all don't know. Y'all back
all suit looking back to back down, giving them more
like theming buck bus things in the Cubby good It.
Steve har listening to the movie Together for Studley, I

(00:38):
don't join join me, be doing me. Honey. You gotta

(00:59):
turn you gotta turn to turnow got the turnout? Then

(01:46):
turn the water the water go. Come come on your back.
Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening
to the voice, come on dig me now one it

(02:07):
only Steve Harvey man oh Man, got a radio show,
got going for you today? I got going for you today.
O kid, You're not because this is coming purely from
self experience, purely, and it just happened to me. It
just happened to me just yesterday. I lived this on yesterday.

(02:29):
You know, I was going through something that I've been
going through for a long long time and just weary
of it all. And I was I've been talking to
God about it, and I mean for years though, for years,
and I've been saying, Okay, enough is enough, you know God,
I'm really I'm really tired. And so what happened was

(02:51):
I had had to go through some more of it
yesterday again in a situation. But you but you know what,
after it was over, you know, I kind of laid
in it for a little while. You know how you've
been going through something for so long and then even
if it's over, appears to be over, you still kind

(03:13):
of lay in it a little bit, and you know
you have a while. Man, I can't believe I've been
dealing with this this long, even though even though it
was over, this is really good for me. I don't
know how you do it, but this was so good
for you for me. Have you ever counted, Steve Harvey,
how many times you made it? And so that's what

(03:34):
I started doing yesterday, and that's what I did this morning.
When I woke up, I was getting ready, I was
actually taking an inventory account of how many times I
made it. How many times, man, I didn't have a
rent and somehow I came up with it. How many
times I didn't have my house payment and somehow I

(03:58):
came up with it. How many times I was out
of money, did not have enough, didn't didn't see no way,
but somehow I came up with it. How many times
I got sick? Thought? Well, man, this one right here.
I don't know what I'm gonna do, but somehow I
got my health back. How many situations I have found

(04:23):
myself in? That was I thought at the time, detrimental
and diabolical and man so sinister at times. Somehow I
made it. I look at all the accidents I've been in,
but he kept me. I made it. I think about
even the simplest times of like stepping off a curve

(04:45):
and almost got hit, but I made it. I was
just tripping the other day. I was. I was thinking
about the times that I've been hit by a car
and it could have been worse, but it wasn't. And
I made it through that too. I was thinking about, Man,
when they count you out, do you know how many
times I've been counted out? He's done. He ain't gonna

(05:06):
be nothing, He ain't nobody. See what I told y'all,
look at over that they counsel this. He offered that
he out of here. He ain't gonna make it. He
didn't got fired. Man, You know how many times I've
been counted out? You know how many times they didn't
wrote me off? How many times have you been written off? Man?
But here you still stand Yo, you've a tripped on it.

(05:26):
Take an inventory, y'all of how many times? Count the
times you've made it? What about the times man, when
nobody was there to encourage you, but you still here
though you've tripped on that. Ain't nobody called you and
told you good day. No nobody called you and told
you recently thank you. No one's called you and told
you how much you meant to them, how much you've

(05:48):
done for them? A man, that you can make it?
Never give up, Keep your head up, man, keep grinding.
But you still here, even when nobody. Have you counted
the times man, that you made it in any way?
You count at the times that you felt like quitting.
How about that one you felt like giving up you
kept going? How about the time this is a good

(06:11):
one right here? How about the times man? When when
when when everybody's standing around saying, ain't no way, ain't
no way, Steve Man, I can't tell how many times
I've heard this ain't no way, And then somehow there
is a way. You know why, because he make a way.
You understand, you know how many? You know how many
times I've heard this one right here? Steve, Listen to me, man,

(06:34):
nobody ever before hasn't done that. You can't do that.
How many times you'd heard? No, you aren't? You know
anybody didn't done that? You can't do that. No one
has ever done that. I made it anyway. You know,
they don't normally or we don't normally allow this, but

(07:00):
in this case for you, we gonna make an exception.
How many times have you heard that, Oh, I think
I'm on to something? How many times have you heard
in your lifetime? We don't normally or they don't normally
allow this, but we gonna make this exception in your case.

(07:21):
How many times you'dn't heard that? Have you ever counted
the times that you made it? You know everybody out
accept me? Oh? How can that be? You know you're
the only one that got through this? Congratulations? Wow, man,

(07:45):
I don't I don't hardly see this too many times.
But do you realize that normally this is what happened
to people. But man, y'all don't know how your name
came up, but here you are. Wow, it never happens
like that. You've accounted those times. I was doing it yesterday,
I was doing it this morning. I was just taking
an inventory of everybody of how many times I've made it.

(08:08):
So what I learned yesterday was when God gets you
through something, when He pulled you out on the other side,
no matter how difficult or how long it took. When
He gets you out on the other side, why don't
you get up, dust yourself off, and start trotting what
you laying there for man, wallowing in it, going over it,

(08:32):
recycling it in your mind. So many people can't move
forward because we keep recycling stuff in our mind when
clearly it's time to move on. It's time to let go.
It's time to go and see what God has for you.

(08:53):
Stop looking at what you lost. What you lost was
probably not yours to have in the first in the
first place. Do you know the things I've lost? I'm
not talking about losing the love one, a mother or father,
nothing like that. I'm talking about innate objects or situation.

(09:18):
Do you know the things I've lost? Man, I look
back on it. I wasn't supposed to have him in
the first place, or they was doing me no good.
I've wasn't mine to lose, but I claimed I lost it.
Come on, man, taking inventory, everybody, Start looking at the
things man, that God has brought you through. Start looking
at how many times He allowed you to make it,
and get glad about waking up in the morning. Man,

(09:39):
get glad about your life. Start feeling something positive about
your situation. You cannot expect God to continue to bless
you if you're not grateful for the things that you have.
Why would God sitting down here looking at you upset, angry,
laying in walla of what you are not grateful for?

(10:04):
You just can't find the see, find no gratitude in
your heart about nothing, but you steady asking God for something.
So now you think God is crazy. You think he
gonna give you some most stuff to not be grateful for.
Are you kidding me? Why would he do that. He's
too full of too much mercy to send you through
that Over and over and over. The more I give
my child, the more ungrateful they are, the less gratitude

(10:28):
they show. But I'm gonna keep dumping it on them
so they can keep feeling ungrateful and show leck of gratitude.
God's not gonna do that to you. Come on, man,
have you ever counted how many times you made it?
I can't count how many times God didn't gotten me
through something. But when he gets you through it, we

(10:49):
can't get up and get on about your business. Don't
lay that in it. It's over, it's done, you made it,
you survived it. Let's go, Let's go. You're listening to show.
Ladies and gentlemen, man, have your attention please. Uh. It's
Monday morning, it's the beginning of a new week. But
it's the same damn thing up in here. We' fing

(11:10):
to turn up this volume, create this ignance and be
botty bout it. Dog going it, Shirley Strong. We let
Steve we let. Oh that's soun that ain't chew one.
We let Steve we Man. We didn't live that fun.

(11:37):
That was fun. It's young people listening to this show
going U we live, and they probably ain't even saying
that no more. They say still saying we live. I'm
scared to use modern day slang. I'm still going. I'm
still doing you know what's happening? Playoff? You know that way?

(12:01):
I know, I know it's out of style, and all
my talk is out of style. We let calla for real,
what's happening? We bought that life? What's going on? Junior?
You got one? I just gonna say, morning on my Tommy,
you got one lit light lit? I'm living my bathtlight man. Yeah,

(12:27):
now dude, this one still work turned up? Yeah, that
was still work. Come on, Steve, what it is? What
it is? Good? Good? Everybody? Cool? Man? My man? Slapping five?

(12:48):
You did that? Did that? You may as well throw
it right on in their stea. I still say right on.
I still say amen. When I talk to my older brother,
it's it's like talking to Marvin Gaby Sally. I'm talking
to them, Hey, what's uping? Bro's with you? Man? It's

(13:11):
something man, give me some of that skin, man, some skin,
don't that's five on the black hand? Keep it like that.
It's all right man, right on. What's been going on
with your playing? You still doing it? Ain't you? You
know people ain't easy, but somebody got to do it.
It might be men. What's up? What's up? Timmy? One

(13:34):
of my little girls, what are the friends of the house?
Said mister Timmy? You lit? I said, baby? I said, baby,
I don't, I don't. I don't smoke. We I don't
know what you're talking about? Said what? That couldn't be
a drop either way. I wasn't there. I don't know.
I don't know what lit meant. Yeah, especially in front

(13:55):
of your kids. Know what, you gotta stay fresh and hill, Timmy.
You we got younger kids too, you know. Hey, hey, hey,
let me tell you what I did one day in Atlanta.
I came out my office with my shirt open, and
my kids friends was in the house. When you say, Dad,
your shirt is open, I said, I live here. Tell

(14:16):
all your little flat stomach as from around here. But
it's so funny, Steve. You're right because we're at an
age now where everything we do embarrasses our kids. There's
nothing that we can do that where our kids think
we're cool. Nothing. All right, listen, coming up in thirty two,
after the hour, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey
Morning Show. We'll do a little weekend review when we

(14:37):
come back. Right after this. Wait, let we let turn up.
You're listening to Steven Show. Happy Monday, everybody, Okay? Uh,
big weekend, Saint Patty's Day weekend. Um didn't know this,
Steve that Saint Patrick's Day is the fourth most popular

(14:59):
drinking holiday, really fourth most popular after New Year's Eve,
Christmas and July fourth Christmas Christmas. Who knew the people
got real drinking old Christmas. Hey, it's number Jesus birthday.
What does y'all do celebrating that? Is So that's terrible,

(15:22):
But that explains mom Christmas moment. What's his name? Junior, Junior,
I just want to say, Man, I guess it is
a lot of drinking old Christmas. Yeah, damn, it was

(15:42):
a lot yesterday show. Appreciate your sock. I ain't no
black people celebrating. Yeah, I ain't know Black celebration mentioned
that to see. You know, it seems every year more
and more black people celebrate Saint Patrick's death because we
ain't got nothing. What do you mean, what do you
mean we have got? Yeah? Although Junior, last month when

(16:08):
you mourn. Yeah, if I see roots one more, damn,
I'm happy to day movie I've ever seen in my life.
But I mean it was good from the perspective of
the storytelling and well how I found out who he was.
That mean, it's cool. Yeah, I did a lot of

(16:30):
all every day on my show. I did a Black
history moment, a big Black history moment. I unfolded some
really cool stuff. Yeah you did. I saw some yors
you didn't. Yeah, Yeah, but you know, that's still it
ain't that ain't a drinking holiday for the whole month.
Nobody gets you drunk for the month ago? Hey, did

(16:51):
you find out what else we can't do? Steve Junior
was not He was not happy with this past. Like
his nobody everybody toasted, you know. Junior was disappointing that
we've had better. That was a man. When I first
moved to Texas years ago, that's when I found out
about June teenth. I never really knew about Junie and

(17:14):
they celebrated big and deal. Still I didn't know it either.
Growing up in Chicago, I didn't know about it. I
was dead said against it. What I found out what
it was fault? Yeah, two years later. Yeah, the slaves
found out that they had been free two years ago.
They saw some black people walking back the out of
the company. What y'all go, Yeah, we got good new
we've been back in a minute. Yeah, no, no, out

(17:38):
of whipped. Everybody came over the information two years later.
There would have been a civil war when y'all pants
back here two years ago, y'all NWD went home. How
the hell it took y'all two years to get over here? So, yeah,
holidays yeah, so Saint Patrick's Day. So I was I

(18:00):
didn't even know it was Saint Patty's Day until I
turn on the fight Earl Spencer against Garcia and the
commentator was the black dude I forgot his name. He
on a green suit, green hat, and he was little.

(18:21):
That's that's the move he tried to make. You know,
what's his name porter? He was okay, he's actually a
good commentator, but his outfit with green, with all the green,
and he was little. Bro. If that's what you was
going for, you did the damn thing. Well, you know, see,

(18:42):
if you don't wear green on Saint Patrick's Day, then
you get pinched. You get pinched. Who started that? I
must have been. I was around a lot of black
people over the weekend, so I had nobody pinched me. Yeah,
I didn't mean. I've never heard of that. Oh yeah, no,
I've never Yeah, yeah, I remember growing up in Chicago.

(19:03):
They return the Chicago River green. Yeah they still do that, shell.
I don't know if they did at this time of crazy,
but they did it while I was up there turning green. No, no,
I'm not a Saint Patty's Day guy. Yeah. Now, now,
Colin Farrell the actor. He was on I saw him
on something on the Gram. He was on Ellen or something.
He was saying, they don't do any of that in

(19:25):
Irelandland then they don't do a drink. But yeah, they
don't drink green beer, drink green milkshakes, turn the river green.
They don't do any of that, and they just they drink.
But that's about it. Yeah, we do that over here. Yeah,
my last in America. Oh yeah, Colin Farrell, Carla Farrell. Okay,
well are you That's what I'm saying? She said that

(19:52):
is true as Farrell as I not that blacksh don't
you tell them about your name? Yeah, don't tell stopped
saying that. I looked it up. I said, hey, did
you know Farrell was Irish? He rolled his asset. Yeah,

(20:12):
and I mentioned the actor Colin Farrell, yeah yeah, and
Will Farrell yeah yes. All right, Well you gotta take
a trip to Ireland then, Carlin. We're trying to get
right now. And Beyonce went. They said they loved it,
it was beautiful. Yeah. While if I go, I gotta
have a money. Okay, yeah, you will know it. Yes,

(20:44):
So the drink biggest drinking holidays again New Year's Eve,
that's the first. Christmas is number two. Yeah, July fourth
is number three. I didn't know that. I didn't know
that either. Yeah. And then Saint Patrick's Day is number four. Yeah,
so drink up, yeah right, drink my uncle, Uncle Junior,

(21:09):
Uncle Julie. He was drunk yesterday, said yesterday he already knew.
He already knew, Junior, he already knew. All right, guys,
coming up next, it is Monday, of course, so you
know what that means. Church complaints with Reverend Motown and

(21:30):
Deacon def jam coming up. What Tommy gotay? Right after this,
something else to everybody. Google your last name and find
out the meaning of your last name and we'll do
that this morning. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming
up at the top of the hour, guys in entertainment news.

(21:51):
Whoopie Goldberg is back. She made a surprise the parents.
We'll talk about that. Yeah, and Jesse Smallett pled not guilty.
But right now it is Monday. Reverend Motown, Yeah, dicking
death Jammer in the building with today's church complaints. Let's
go we we amen an we we I have some

(22:22):
things to talk about today. So the first complaint that
I don't like, will start my subject. My subject is
well glad it ain't us go ahead decon with your

(22:43):
complaints a past that we have an issue. The Gucci
ministry wants to know how much longer before they can
where they design to close again. It's been too much
and no word. The Louivi time ministry keeps floating it
in their face and they they tired of it. Path
the Gucci ministry is tied. We I don't understand that

(23:08):
I put on a pair of Gucci velvets or this moaning,
and as I was coming out the door, I forgot
the dawn was a boy caught, yes, for three months, right,
but my feet had already swollen. So I came on

(23:29):
end with them on. I can't take these off. But
one understand because once I take these off, can't none
of my other shoe fit. The Gucci loafers, with that,
with with with that, with that stair up on it. Yeah,
what do you want? I don't know what you're gonna tell.
I don't know. I don't owned boycott either. I don't
know what is boycotting four? It was three it was

(23:51):
for three months long pass and then remember the sweater
with the black face. I didn't see that as black faces.
When you put black on you for you can pull
it up around your mouth, that ain't really you just
want to wear your goots. Well I don't have that squatter.
What the hell I'm wearing your boy cot to sweater?
What we're born cotton the whole company for no born

(24:15):
cot to squatter? Ain't I ain't seen the squatter rap
is the leader where there was a little time ministry?
Is really they get flaunting any Floyd Maywell I saw
him the child ship. Don't nobody tell him and said,

(24:39):
a man with your gut you from here? He was
shut the store down. Well, remind me of our sermon today. Well,
I'm glad it ain't all right. After moving forward, one
of our members, who's any like the celebrity sister Gail King,

(25:03):
is asking that he can take a negro break. He staid,
see his tired of going back and forth with the people. Uh,
she's asking for a negro break. Past it, that's what
he's asked. I want to say, Oh, come in, sister
Gail for her wonderful display of journalistic interviewership. That girl

(25:29):
interviewed or Kelly didn't you. Yes, one of my favorite
lines in the whole interview Robert Robert, which in plain
black tournament, sit your ass down, don't start none, won't
be No, that's right, fast, go ahead, I passed. As

(25:52):
you know, most of our kids come here to church
out the school. After school program is doing bear well,
and our graduation rate is ninety five percent. Listen, young
Jacobe Miller is asking can we get him in the
USC without him having to take the sat He knows
some white people that can pour the strands or about

(26:15):
fifty thou Well, well, now we are here at today's sir,
look at that. Well glad it ain't us. We've been
dominating the news, or we've been all over Jesse smullet

(26:40):
a Kennedy, that's right. Michael Jackson huh no, none of
the top, at least two of them, right. Ain't nothing
you can say about Michael Michael gone, that's right. But
we nothing you can say about Jesse compared to this here. Oh,

(27:00):
Jesse did give to African twenty five hundred, but the
white folks twenty five million dollars. Ain't you glad? This
ain't us? Jesse got sixteen counts. Ain't all of them.

(27:21):
Some form of disorderly conduct. That's what you're gonna call
what do your white folks didn't done robbing and stilling
in the name trying to get these stupid ass kids
educated whatever. You get their dumb ass down there in
the school ain't smart enough to stay. Your little girl
proved it when she came over and said she ain't

(27:43):
here for no education. She's trying to polish games, and
it's just for games and party. You spend all that money,
got this health of down at this school trying to
learn nothing? Well, ain't you glad? It ain't us I
told you is coming today. I ain't psychic, I ain't

(28:04):
I ain't that lady of Cleo. Yeah, miss Cleo, I
ain't uh an astrology man. But I know this was
gonna come up. My sermon. I wrote it with anticipation
that you were gonna bring up these stealing ass folks.
All of them celebrities got money coming out there crocketay behind.

(28:27):
They sit up here and try to get the little
dumb ass kids in college. If your baby too stupid, depressed,
the A S A T hell, they're gonna stay in
c O L L E G E somebody's to me
because it's in college, that is in the SAT. You
can't pass the SAT. You ought to go somewhere. Set

(28:50):
your ass down, because that's all the SAT mean. Do
you set your ass down because you ain't small enough
to you you ain't smart enough to get into college.
I believe school sitting it being getting your kids these
soccer scholarship. They punk ass. Can't kick a ball in
the damn side of a house. You're sitting up in here,
got your baby with a lacross contract, Nordy getting there

(29:12):
wearing the boy then threw a stick in the bass.
Come on back, set me on the line. All your kids,
I'm all the rich had kids and whoop they ain't
whoop they asking what their parents ain't I ain't never
liked the boy from where far? No, damn where. I
don't even know what. Your wife was in full house.
Now she's gonna be in a full sound jail after this,

(29:37):
the church said, man from full house to the big hog,
whyn't you glad it ain't on? It ain't ain't it
ain't up? Black? Yeah, all right, coming up at the

(30:03):
top of the hour entertainment news right after this, you're
listening and entertainment news. Our girl Whoopie Goldberg is back,
well sort of, sort of, sort of, not one hundred percent.
She's been out for over a month. She's been suffering
from double pneumonia and sepsis, some kind of bacteria she had.

(30:26):
Yeah on Friday, Yeah, right on Friday, she said she
finally felt good enough to stop by the View and
surprise the ladies, and boy were they surprised. Whoopy said
that she plans to slowly ease back into her hosting
duties over the next week and a half. She dropped
by because she missed everyone, she really did, and she

(30:47):
want you know how people say she just wanted to
put their eyes on her. You know, she just wanted
to put their eyes, her eyes on them. She says.
This is my first four ray out. She explained that
I'm not there yet, but the only way it's going
to get her as if I begin. So this is
my beginning. Ye yeah, very happy that she was back. Yeah.

(31:10):
Oh yeah, really is er Yeah, she really is? Yep, yeah, yep.
All right. Another entertainment news, Steve Jesse Smallett strolled into
the Cook County, Illinois court room to enter a not
guilty plea, well, several I should say, at least to
sixteen felony counts of disorderly conduct for allegedly filing a

(31:31):
false police report. The judge told Jesse that he could
travel to New York and Los Angeles to meet with
his legal teams, as long as he notifies the court
forty eight hours in advance. Now, if Jesse is yeah,
if Jussie is convicted of all sixteen counts, he could
face up to forty eight years in sis. I don't think.

(31:54):
I don't think what he did deserves that. I think, yeah,
here's what I think. Just bub that she get at best,
if if at best, for probation, community service, right, and
a fine at best. He didn't hurt anybody. He didn't.
He didn't hit nobody. He didn't. He hurt himself. He

(32:17):
heard his career. Now, he had the police department doing
a lot of unnecessarily unnecessary work, seemingly so I'm look,
I don't know if he's guilty. Answer, he's plead innocent.
Maybe the kid got some information we don't know. And
I hope I hope that's true. A fact, I really
really hope that's true, man, because I like the kid,

(32:37):
I really really do. But if it looked like it's
gonna go sideways for your homie Jess, uncle Steve talking,
it's called a plea bark. Yeah, sometimes you got to
give him something, man, because if if they can get
you on anything, they will, and it's gonna take your
community service, get on probation at best. That's what should have.

(32:58):
He shouldn't do no time for this, Hope they don't
try to make example out of him and everything. Do
you know what the president is doing? Hell yeah, yeah,
well man, get out of here. Yeah. So again, if
Jesse is convicted of all sixteen counts, he could face
up to forty eight years in prison. Each count carries
a potential sentence of one to three years. And he's
he's due back in court on eight for seventeen and

(33:21):
it's it's I don't think it's worth that. No, that's
a lot. I don't see him. I don't see jail
time for this now. I did have us going for
a while though. Yeah. But if he's innocent, if he
can have the proof, like right now, it don't look good. No,
it doesn't. Just public opinion is wow, come on, bro,

(33:43):
But even that, even let's say public opinion is correct.
Let's just assume for a minute it don't deserve jail time. Yeah,
I don't because he lied. What he did was lie
lie if he did that, yeah, everybody, but every prone
there so five thousand, way more than that. Yeah, it

(34:06):
was almost ten thousand or over that now ye lie
yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah. Tende public yeah yeah,
teba and double down double That's why I can't go
in front of Mana for nobody, all right, can't. He
got live beauties, that's what he got, right, Steve. Let's
get to the news, ladies and gentlemen. Miss Anne trip,

(34:28):
thanks Steve, Live beauties. Okay, that's a new one on me.
This is a troop with the news. Everybody. Law enforced
officials in New Zealand say that they're attempting to bring
the situation in that city of christ Church back to
normal in the wake of Muslim worshippers and two mosques
are being mowed down before now. Police Commissioner Mike Bush
tells Residence that the word is vigilance. You will see
a highly visible police presence on the streets, around your businesses,

(34:54):
around your schools, and even in the air. Right across
the country, so you will feel syfe. The death toll
now stands at fifty, where there were still some twenty
people being treated for injuries in hospitals. Officials say that
the fiftieth deceased person's body was discovered during a search
through the rubble. Meanwhile, a long racist and anti immigrant

(35:14):
manifesto email to the Prime Minister of New Zealand and
others just minutes before the massacre. The alleged gunman uses
fond words to describe President Trump, praising Trump as a
symbol of quote renewed wide identity and common purpose unquote. However,
Acting White House Chief of Staff Nick wilvaniansists on Fox
News Sunday that his boss is not that kind of man.

(35:34):
The President is not a white supremacist. I'm not sure
how many times we have to say that, And to
simply ask the question every time something like this happens
overseas or even domestically, to say, oh, my goodness, it
must somehow be the president's fault speaks to a politicization
of everything that I think is undermining sort of the
institutions that we have in the country today. Trump has

(35:54):
frequently been criticized for remarks and behavior considered anti Muslim
or racist, especially after the Knots and white supremacist rally
in Charlesville, Virginia, where an anti racist demonstrated was run
over and killed, and they were white men marching around
with tiki torches, chanting the Jews, the Jews, the Jews
will not replace us. President Trump said that there were
good people on both sides of that right. Rescue efforts

(36:17):
are underway in southern Africa after devastating cycle left more
than one hundred people dead, sixty five Insimbabwe alone. Bridges
have been swept down, roads impassable. Listen to this. Six
young black men found dead in various rays in Ferguson, Missouri,
all prominently involved in protests over the police killing of
eighteen year old Michael Brown. Folks in the activist community
saying this is all too much of a coincidence, especially

(36:39):
since protest leaders in Ferguson continue receiving death threats. Four
and a half years after the college Brown Michael Brown
was shot dead and dead by a white now ex
police officer from Ferguson who got off No reign the
forecast for the Midwest. The Midwest rather this week with
a lot of flooding, and she did it again. That's
why Captain Mardele tops at the box office this weekend,

(36:59):
bringing in another sixty nine million dollars. And uh they
got actually, she made what two hundred and sixty six
million so far locally seven hundred and sixty worldwide. Now
back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to
show actress Rosario Dawson and Democratic presidential candidate Corey Booker.

(37:20):
M Uh, they seem to be an item, that's right. Uh, yeah,
they say they're they're they're dating. Rosario Dawson confirmed it actually,
and she used the L word l o v E.
You know, take a listen. I am just grateful to
be with someone that I respect and love and admire

(37:41):
so much. She is so brilliant and kind and caring
and loving. Cor book room, Yeah, Li's big book. Yes,
they're dating or they're a couple. Yeah. A lot of
people have been asking whether or not, you know, because
he's not married, was he dating anyone? What's going on
with him? So now she's confirmed that they are, uh,

(38:04):
in a loving relationship. She said it. He comes right
out and get girl. He come right out and get her. Well,
he's running for president. You get her? Well, yeah, that's
what's president platform, Junior. I don't care. I'm running. I
could do better than the one we got. Yeah. Yeah,

(38:27):
what he's gonna have to do now, they're gonna have
to be seen surface pictures of you gotta because people
just this is a different world we're in now. I'm sorry, man,
I'm not casting any doubt or anything. I believe it,
you know, but I do. But we got to Harry
help get some dinner pictures out. Some man's a hotel,

(38:50):
a great looking couple. Yeah, hotels. You gotta be somewhere.
You ain't in love with nobody. You ain't no way
in a bikini on a beach, and we gotta get
something dog all right listen. And other political news, Beto
O'Rourke finally has made it official. He is running for

(39:12):
president people, and he may pick a female for his VP.
I like that. I like that, Yeah, I do fairly
what that is brewing almost Also, Senator Elizabeth Warren is
hosting a CNN town hall meeting in Jackson, Mississippi, on

(39:35):
the campus of HBCU Jackson State University, two nights to night.
Yes and Jackson Jackson, Mississippi. Yeah, Jackson State. Yeah, yeah, really,
I ain't gonna come me. Congratulations to Jackson State. I
see y'all. Yeah, y'all better go down represive. Next to

(39:59):
thirty four. After the how the New Zealand, Oh this
was so sad the New Zealand mosque shootings, President Trump
downplays a white nationalist threats we'll get into it right
after this. You're listening to show, all right, So Steve,
what's going on in the world? I mean, really, there
is so much hate and violence going on. There are

(40:20):
now at least fifty people dead and many seriously injured
after the shooting massacre at two Moss in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Murder charges have already been filed against a twenty eight
year old Australian white nationalist. His name is Brenton Turrant.
Turrant said he considered President Trump a symbol of renewed

(40:41):
white identity and common purpose. Experts are concerned about the
growing threat of white supremacist groups in the US and
around the grobe the globe. The President, however, does not
seem to share those concerns. He was asked about the
growing threat of white nationalism over the weekend. Take a listen.
I don't really. I think it's a small group of

(41:02):
people that have very very serious problems. I guess if
you look at what happened in New Zealand, per half
sents a case, I don't know enough about it yet.
And yeah, look, there's nothing to know. You know what
white nationalist is, you know what it means. It's real simple,

(41:22):
you know. Look, Obama was never accused as being a
symbol of white nationalist pride or any other thing that
the shooter said. So look, man, it's it's real obvious,
whether you realize it or not. And I don't I
don't think that he doesn't really he doesn't care because
as long as you say his name in a positive way,

(41:45):
or you mentioned his name in a like he's my hero,
or he matters to me, that's all that counts with him.
He doesn't matter who the praise is coming from. He
just wants to praise. That's why he will not come
out against anybody who appears to be a fan of
his and come out against it. He's not gonna do it.

(42:06):
He's I don't know what the word is. A narcissist.
What is this person who man at any cost as
long as you like me or praise me, I'm just
gonna go ahead and just keep my mouth shut because
he needs every vote he can to get back in.

(42:26):
And I'm telling you, man, we've got to do something.
We've got to be careful, y'all. And the Democrats are
scaring me right now because we're doing the exact same
things that the Republicans did to Obama. They spent eight
years hating Obama and they ended up with no candidate.
We are spending all this time hating Trump and we're
not developing. We need somebody to be the front runner. Now.

(42:52):
We don't need to look at sixteen damn people, we don't.
It ain't sixteen interest and ask people that could It
ain't sixteen people that could be president. So far as
like twelve that didn't say they was running into it. Well, yeah,
it's more than that now because Beto o'rouric is in. Okay,
it's twil just half of them. Who do you think
has a chance? Just give me six names? Uh, Kamala?

(43:14):
Who else? Beto for sure? Bet h yeah, Bernie, Oh yeah, Bernie.
Bernie's front runner right now. But if Joe Biden jumps
in and it's out. Let's just go with the once
we've got we got three, Yeah, I need three more. Well,
Elizabeth Warren is running. Uh, Kristen Gillibrand, ok, Jilibrand is running.

(43:39):
That's not what I asked you should I asked you
who do you think could be president? Of six? I
just need six out of the twelve. Okay, Mike could
beat Trump. That could beat him. Uh, Bernie might have
a chance. Bernie and Kamala, Kamala and Beto Beto and Bernie.
You know, yeah, but he's sang Biden hasn't. Yeah. So

(44:05):
between those three Bernie, Kamala, Beto, Y and Corey Booker
is in there. Took Booker. Yeah, yeah, I mean it. Yeah, yeah,
I mean those are the three that I think that
have a chance against the current president. Yes, Steve, Okay,

(44:26):
so we don't need other name. That's what I'm saying.
You did say. That's all I want us to do.
Let's be honest. We get to the convention for we
start all this hatred because we split it up too much.
We're gonna do what we did to Bernie, said Bernie
Sanderus had a real idea about winning when Hilary Roun

(44:49):
Henry It disenfranchised a lot of Bernie supporters. Yeah, all right,
we're gonna do the same thing again. And this dude
gonna get to me the toll boats and in the
States and we're back in business. All right, we gotta
move on. Steve up next, it is a nephew with
the prank phone call for today's coming up right after this.
You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at

(45:09):

come to the church last couple of months, man, I've

(46:38):
been I've been coming like my my my, my regular

I got an old van that I've been about that. Yeah, yeah,
you know, I got an old van and I've been
using to get around in so na for the last
two months. I've been riding in it when I come
to the church. You know you and I find out
who you were, but you keep sending me to the

(47:00):

I noticed now na bro no on the rear so
you're sending me to the back, and I'm noticing when
I see cars as like two thousand and ten, two
thousand and fifteen, Carroll, We'll listen. We don't have new
uh set place where we put model car, you know.
I just I just direct the traffic. Brother. Okay, So

(47:20):
so you're trying to tell me for the last two
months you just direct traffic, but you got but you
directed me to the back every time. But a car
behind me or car in front of me, it'll be
going to the front. No where you getting this information
from me? I just I didn't seen you man or
send people to the front to park. I haven't seen
you do n No. I just I just put you know,

(47:43):
the bigger vehicles in the in the back and uh
certain you know it's really no scatter if if you
come in, I just I just direct you to the
right of the laft. It's really nothing to it. Really,
So you're not trying to say so so my my
band being raggedy ain't the reason why I'm being no

Just just calm down. It's it's not it's not that serious. No,
it is that serious, because see what's I know, I
got a ragged ass van. I know that. I know that,

to the back. And I know it because the car
I had been foul. Y'all were sending me up front.
So already. No, I'm just saying, I'm telling you right now, Brendan,

(48:46):

if I get sent to the back. Brother. You just
singled me out. And no, no, you know I didn't
single you out. You you are the person that has
been sending me to the back. I do no, No,
I haven't. Hey, man, why are you keep why why
are you sending why me? Why are you accusing me?

(49:07):
I ain't got because I hadn't seen it. No you are.
You're calling me. You're calling me out of the blue,
and you accuse me of something that I'm not doing. No, No,

sending me to the damn bad man as we passed.

(50:11):

(54:19):
it is the Strawberry Letters subject never trust your man's
female friends. We'll get into it right after this. You're
listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. It is time now
for today's Strawberry Letter and listen. If you need advice
on relationships, on dating, work, sex, parenting, and more. Please
submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve Harvey f M and

(54:41):
click submit Strawberry Letter. We could read your letter live
on the air, just like we're gonna read this one today,
and it's a good one. Who buggle up and hold
on tight. We got it for you here. It is
the Strawberry Letter, all right. Subject never trust your man's
female friends. Here Stephen Shirley. I'm a twenty seven year
old woman and I've had a few relationship issues because

(55:01):
I just can't seem to pick the right man. Maybe
it's because I am in love with my male best friend.
He is perfect for me, and I've known it since
we met six years ago. But there's one problem. He's
had a girlfriend for the last three years. His girlfriend
has no idea that she is in my way, and

(55:22):
she has tolerated our friendship to an extent. Sometimes she
will say little things to me to make him pull
away from me, but that does not last long. She
has every reason to fear me because I want more
than a friendship with her. Man. This man treats me
with a lot of respect, and we talk about any
and everything. We enjoy the same type of music, food,

(55:45):
and movies, and we are perfect dance partners. I've tried
to create doubt in his girlfriend's mind by calling and
texting him really late at night or early in the morning,
just to talk. I know it bothers her because she
has jokingly told me to call and text him at
a more decent hour. Yeah whatever, girl by And yes,

(56:09):
we had sex one time when we first met, but
he blames it on alcohol, and he promised me that
he would never violate our friendship in that way. Again.
I didn't feel violated at all, and I started falling
in love with him after that. I need him to
see that I'm better for him than his girlfriend is
before it's too late. I'm scared that if I wait

(56:31):
any longer, he might end up marrying the wrong woman.
Please hollow. Yeah. Yeah, First of all, I cannot understand
why his girlfriend of three years puts up with you,
and you need to stop. I mean, you really really
need to stop. Can you be any more disrespectful? I mean,

(56:52):
is there anything else you can do? To be any
more disrespectful. This man, your best friend, is in a relationship,
and I don't care. I mean, so what if you
guys have been friends for six years? That gives you
no right to completely completely disregard his girlfriend's feelings. I mean,
that's just wrong. There you are lurking in the background

(57:14):
like some sort of crazy stalker, saying she has every
reason to fear you. She's done nothing to you, and
probably that is the problem because she hasn't checked you.
I mean, they've been together for three years. That means
you've been waiting on him for that long. You've been
waiting on this man for three years. How much longer
are you gonna waste your life waiting on him to

(57:35):
leave her for you? He hasn't done it yet. Come on,
I mean, don't you know that what's for you is
for you? You don't have to try and take someone
else's man. You're better than that. Or don't you know
that about yourself yet? And you just wait till his
woman gets good and good and done with you. Steve
boy boy, boy, boy boy, These are the types of

(58:01):
letters that I wakes up for in the morning. Never
trust your man's female friends. How many times have I
said on this show, how many times have I told
y'all these friends y'all keep having in y'all, in these

(58:25):
committed relationships, they gone back far. Here we go straight
from the horse's mouth. Twenty seven year old woman handsome
relationships because she can't pick the right man. Why can't

(58:45):
she pick the right man? Because she in love with
her male best friends. Yes, she didn't went so far
to say he perfect for me. She didn't stop down.
She told her why I met him six years ago.
But he had had a girlfriend, Philip, his girlfriend ain't

(59:08):
got no idea. She in my way exactly. She didn't
tolerated our friendship. And sometimes she is say things that
make him put away from me, but that don't last long.
It's because he keeps sliding back over there, harm fit
to tell you what's really going on. She got every
reason to feel me because I want more than a

(59:29):
friendship with her. Man that Shirley is focused on the
fact that she could potentially be a stalker. We all
see clearly in this letter that this half for crazy. Yeah,
she got Glenn close wrote all over her. Yeah, this

(59:50):
a blonde haired white lady that's probably black. She didn't
put a rabbit in a part. You can believe that
all the fact she have bailed, rapping in the pot,
pulled acid on the car. Oh, that's why she can't

(01:00:10):
stay in no relationship. Then she said, here's why she
can't leave this man alone. He treats me with a
lot of respect. We talk about everything. We enjoy the
same type of music. We enjoy the same type of food,
We like to move it, the same damn movies. We

(01:00:33):
even perfect dance partners. Now, if that ain't a reason
to love somebody, you tell me who the hell can
you eat with, go to movies with, cry with? Then
go out there and can steal dance? Yes, yes, yes,

(01:00:58):
I've tried to create doubt in his girlfriend's mine by
calling and texting him really late at night or early
in the morning, just to talk. I know it bothered hell, yeah,
because it would bother you, She's jokingly told me. Called
at a decent hour. Yeah whatever, girl, by Helper. Here's

(01:01:21):
the problem in the whole letter that we're gonna deal
with when we come back. We had sex one time, baby,
This the damn slot machine, y'all. They didn't have had

(01:01:42):
sex one time. This the whole damn problem. I'm explained
it to you. When we come back, she say, he
say it was drunk. Here's another disrespect the finishing begin.
But I got new faith. Never tell you what happened
when we come back. Okay, all right, we're gonna hear
it so I could tell you. Okay, we're gonna have

(01:02:02):
part two of Steve's response coming up at twenty three
after the hour. Today's subject is never trust your man's
female friends, and his female friend wrote this letter. We'll
be back with Steve's response right after this. You're listening,
all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.

(01:02:23):
H Never trust your man's female friends is the subject.
Let's go Steve, you can have female friends. What's wrong
with you? You need to open up your mind. You're
so old fashioned. Okay, I do old fashion. And now

(01:02:44):
we've had a female best friend of writing, Yeah, you
in the way on me getting my man because he'd
been with you for three years. I'm throwing shade. We
perfect together, we danced together, We eat the yello be
like the same food, We like the same movies. Cal
I can't stand you. She been joy. I text early

(01:03:06):
in the morning. I text late at night the girl
come telling me jokingly, you need to text at a
move decent our girl back helper you in my way.
You know why because we're best friend. Then we found
out for the letter, closed out what we had six

(01:03:27):
one time. Now he says we had first for the
but he blames it on alcohol, and he promised me
that he would never violate our friendship in that way again. Girl,
I ain't feel violated. Matter of fact, I started falling

(01:03:53):
in love. Girl, I ain't feel violated at all. I
started falling in love with him after that. See, let
me tell you what the real problem is. They had
sex one time, just one, but he blamed it on
the alcohol. But let me tell you something about Homie though.
What when Homie was drunk, Lord, he would bring it.

(01:04:21):
Homie was up in now letting him have. This is
what you wanted to get to, girl, she's so damned
sprung caused big boy was in now in a drunken statement,
just bringing it. And every sister that date she been

(01:04:43):
trying to figure out if this is what he'd do
when he drunk, Lord, one of my store, Come on,
this is what he'd do? Why he he didn't fry
this breaking extra rispy girl. Now that's funny. See, I'm

(01:05:04):
still my tones is still ball. It happened three years
ago and he was drunk. What is this man gonna do? Wow?
When he ain't drunk. I got to get back over there.
I love him. Run in there, Jess rang in it

(01:05:30):
just in thew holly girl. He picked me up, carried
me over that against that wall, took me off the
wall while I had my legs wrapped roundie. He did
a back flip on turn the bed and was on
top of me. He was drunk up blip with hawk

(01:05:53):
legs roundie. He been on the wall. He backed up
with him, had in his arms, legs wrap rounded back.
Homeboy did a back flip and bram. She was on
her back and he was braining it. Damn right, I
get it now you can do that. Now what she
don't know? When you you can't do that. You can

(01:06:17):
only think of this stuff when you drunk. You ain't
you ain't that strong, And you and you and your
mind saying, hey man, I'm gonna mess around break your
neck when you drunk. We ain't got no neck. You're
a crazy Still Yeah, he pulled her over to the

(01:06:39):
dresser and opened to draw and just set her booty
in the draw to right clown because he was drunk.
She ain't had that six that's why she can't keep
a relationship, because she ain't had what drunk a home
it did and he was doing stuff to ha he

(01:07:02):
He took her in the bathroom, set her on the sink,
cut the hot water the left side on one half
of her ass, and had the cold water speaking on
the other hand. And she couldn't make up her mind.
What the hell was going on? You are crazy for

(01:07:23):
he was in the actual He took her out to
the steps, laid her head first down the steps, got
on her and Jeff went down the steps, getting every
lad one of them steps pop pop pop pop pop pop,
thirty one step. That's what gave one out of them

(01:07:50):
over there on the on the second floor. She ain't
no landing, ain't no landing. She hit her head thirty
one time when she got on the mother. She was
so damned dizzy. She was in love with this pool
done drunk. Heater told his kneecaps off with that because

(01:08:11):
he was drunk. Stood right up, I got this laying
her over to the kitchen, laying off the breakfast table. Oh,
I'm scared to lay her on the breakfast table. Open
a drawer, got a spoon. I ain't even gonna say

(01:08:31):
no more, thank you. I'm just gonna let your mind
go where scoop scoop it. But don't you understand she
ain't ever forgot this. Ask her what happened when they
went outside and got them bushes? Ask her the All right,
we gotta go listen, email us or instagram a blanket

(01:08:55):
on top of the hedge this boy. Hold on, see
if you want to talk about it when we can back.
If you won't, okay, all right, we'll take a break
right here. You can email us and instagram us your
thoughts on today's Strawberry Letters. Steve Harvey, F M and
I guess coming up in ten minutes, we're gonna get
into part three of today's Strawberry Letter. Never trust your

(01:09:17):
man's female friends. That's the subject. But draw booted. We'll
be back right you're listening to stew All right, Steve,
We've now come to part three of Today's Strawberry Letters.
Subject never trust your man's female friends. A twenty seven

(01:09:40):
year old woman wrote in uh. She's had a few
relationship issues in her time because she can't seem to
pick the right man. But now she thinks she has
the right man. He is her best friend of six
stay six one time, and the things he did to
her why he was ump started in the bedroom, had

(01:10:05):
up against the wall. She had her legs raped rounding.
He walked over to the bed and did a backflip
and was still on her. I don't see how that's
I know you can't because he was drunk. He don't
know that circumstyle. Then picked her up, took her right
over to the chest of drawer, opened up the dresser drawer,

(01:10:26):
just set her booty in the drawer, took cut in
the bathroom, got a hot foster and the cold foster
sat on top of the saint cut the hot fos
on one half of her butt and the cold face
on the other half. Her book. She don't know what
the hell would come on forking it though. Then laid

(01:10:50):
her on the steps, head first on her back, and
they slid down thirty one steps. He stayed connected the
entire time. She got her bott step. He took her
in the kitchen at the foot of doom steps put

(01:11:11):
her on the breakfast table. Okay, open the drawer, got
a spoon out, and I ain't got to tell you
no more. Then yes, got up from the table. She
didn't know it was no more. She thought they were
walking outside to get fresh out. Ye. Put her in

(01:11:32):
the car, okay, and what happened? Pulled off both hands
on the stairs wheel. He just shifting gears. She never
seen nothing like it, and we never heard anything like that.
He never took his hands off the wheel, was just
shifting the they rolled around the block. She can't believe it.

(01:11:55):
She kept saying, oh Lord. Then came home later on
the hot hoo to that car. Come on on the
hot hoo to that car. Hoo hot hood went to
work again because she was cold from the trip round
the block. Man, I can see all this. Man, I'm

(01:12:19):
trying to track. I was called he was drunk. He
was drunk, and he promised not to disrespect their friendship
after that. Well, did he remember any of the stuff
when he became so up? It don't matter if he did.

(01:12:39):
She did, that's why. But he was shamed though, That's
why he said, I'll never violate our friendship like that again.
I didn't mean to show you all the stuff I know.
But for three years all she'd been saying is but
he was drunk. What happened when he ain't drunk though,

(01:13:05):
And that's why she fell in love? Yeah, and that's
why this girl got a problem. Yes, So now she
ain't going Now she's not. She's not going away. I
just want you to know that. Well, girlfriend, better step up. Girlfriend, Girlfriend,

(01:13:25):
don't have this in her mass. He done. No, No,
he ain't done, because if he'd done this to the girlfriend,
the girlfriend would be killing the best room he've been
seventy two. Girl, If you don't get away from this,
I'm surprised she hasn't do it? A girl, and you ain't.
Did he take you out on the center line on

(01:13:47):
the two way highway? Have you been yellow line? Yes? Girl?
Where he could? He is trick can dangerous? Right, Steve Harvey,
your mind is so crazy? Now now now, now, what

(01:14:15):
didn't they dangerous? It wasn't one of their dates at
the amusement park. Didn't they go somewhere like no before
they went to let me ask you this, Has he
ever took you on the edge of the diving board?
And y'all never went in the water. What come on,

(01:14:36):
you got to get him back telling me what he
did to you. You don't know what he's doing to me.
Have they ever gone on like weekend trips? And hell? Yeah,
you ever been on the weekend trip with it and
went to the rest area, been on top of one
of them, cass and grill that you ain't ever been

(01:14:59):
grill girl, You don't know what he did when he'd
be drinking. You haven't been in the back of you haul.
You ever been in the back of a you haul?
Why hu back then? Getting hauled? You haul? Hell? We

(01:15:22):
haul you haul ass? I haul ass, that's all he
was saying. And yes, have you ever been to the
amusement park? Yeah? Well, I tell you what. It ain't
a small world after all. Hello, that I know because

(01:15:47):
we was on It's a small world after all. There
wasn't nothing small own it? Right? Well do they do
they do regular stuff like go to the grocery stores.
We ain't never been to the grocery store. Okay, we
tried one time. He did it. Took me on a
sale sign in the window, cabbage eighty nine cent a pound.

(01:16:08):
Everyone that damn cabbage signed down after window green. Hey,
listen again. If you want to comment on today's Strawberry letter,
please email us or to you, I go to Steve

(01:16:30):
Harvey FM. Okay, we'll have more of this ignorant show man.
You don't know what you want? Oh man, coming up
right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
so moving on, we're moving on, moving on for what well, strawberry, No,

(01:16:52):
I'm it's the strawberry letter. I wrote this letter. Oh
you're the twenty seven year old woman. I'm the twenty
seven year old and it's happened my friend. She had
sex with him one time and all this stuff she
did to him. She don't know what he's doing to me.
Oh you're the girlfriend. Girl? Bye, girl bye? What's what

(01:17:15):
he ain't done? It's the question just yesterday? Hello, that's
what happened? You ever? That's you? Ever been in bed
with a basketball team and all of them with lepracas? No,
I can't say now now, you ain't doing nothing. Time

(01:17:41):
he did a backflip with you. That ain't nothing You
get by green men running around him? Green men crazy?
You don't even know. Let me ask you this. You
ever been to basking robbers thirty one flavors? Who else?
Then he put your ass in the bucking and tell

(01:18:02):
you you flavor number thirty two. You better find something
else to do. Wow. Okay, well speak up. I was
wondering if the girlfriend was ever gonna speak up? Good.
You don't, don't write I'm speaking up? You should? Yeah, okay,
so yeah, yeah, he ever take you to loads, put

(01:18:26):
you on top of a washing machine. That's fun. You
so bad? You thought you was at home deep out?
The girl don't know what's he doing with his drunk?
His drunk as letting number half. That's one of my favorites.
Sometimes you're gonna take him from me because y'all had

(01:18:47):
sex one time. Ain't gonna name all the stuff he did. Wow,
I love it on the road. On the road, not
the rist to laugh one. I'm gonna tell you. Okay.
You know as March madness, don't you? Okay? Oh yeah?
Last year he did me for every team in the brackets.

(01:19:14):
A girl he was not girl? Best friend? Better sit down? Yeah,
Felicia by all right? Uh, I don't know how you
follow that, but that's serious. For a second. I'm so serious.

(01:19:39):
This is what I do script. Well, um, this was
talking about this racist tirade that happened um in East Haven,
East connect Connecticut. Okay, yeah, all right, a New Haven resident,
Steven Hampden Public Schools employee. Uh, she had to resign

(01:19:59):
at she used a bunch of racial epithets. I mean,
these were horrible things that she said. She got into
an encounter with two black people at a grocery store
and it went viral. Just just take a listen and
we'll talk about it. Will sit. Yeah, don't talk like that,

(01:20:26):
don't don't do it. Don't worry that this was crazy

(01:20:51):
right here? All right? This video, see, yes, it's a video.
It shows a white woman, uh using racial slurs. You
heard the racial slurs. Had to beat him, of course.
A statement from the school district said that she has
resigned from her position. That was good, Yeah, she was
still district. She has resigned from her position. According to

(01:21:13):
the district's website, she was a clerk, not a teacher.
She was a clerk in the central office. Um. She
yells uh the in word three times. She spits at
the people. It's a black man and a black woman.
It's unclear though. The thing about it is though Steve
no one knows how it's got started, you know, Yeah,
no one knows. Always see is this woman going just

(01:21:34):
ballistic and and you know, using all this these racial
slurs and everything. Yeah, and it's gone viral, It's all
over social media. So, uh, this is crazy. I mean,
is this what we've come to here? Though? Really? I mean,
so many of these incidents keep happening, you know, Yeah,
we're here. Yeah. Yeah, the tirade was caught on video

(01:21:55):
and she she had to resign because of it, and
rightfully so she I don't know what happened. I don't
know what could make you this mad. Yeah, it was horrible. Yeah,
it doesn't after be anything to make her that mad. Oh.
You know, a lot of stuff comes out when you're angry.

(01:22:18):
But the words she was using, she used him be fool. Yeah,
that wasn't her first time. She was real comfortable throwing
out the end word. She used it before. It just
messed her kids up. Oh, her little kids didn't understand it.
And her husband was sitting there going, what don't say that?
You go now you gotta work, Now you ain't gotta

(01:22:39):
put it she got she cost herself a job, Yeah
she did. Yeah, she did the school district said that
someone who will use that sort of language in any setting,
whether public or private, is not someone we want anywhere
near our children. It was shocking and disturbing, disgusting. Other
people said the video made me sick to my stomach.
As a community, us condemn these actions in the strongest

(01:23:02):
of terms, which is good. We will never tolerate hate speech.
Anyone who knows witnesses of this ugly incident should contact
east Haven Police immediately so at least they're going after it,
at least sort of action. Oh my god, yeah, go ahead.
I want to say thank you to the lady. Her

(01:23:22):
name is Corine Toron c A r I n c
O r i n n E. Let me do the spelling, please,
Corine Toron core r r O n E. Corine Toron,
thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
Do you think for removing yourself from the presence of

(01:23:43):
our children. Oh yeah, thank you for revealing who you
really are that way. We don't have to. We don't
have to pick it boycott you. We don't. We don't.
We don't need a videotape to see if the grand
jury will find you guilty. You've did it. Yourself. Thank
you so much. Please, well the rest of you, please

(01:24:04):
step forward so we can identify you too and save
us to pack, because this is all we've been saying.
Thank you so much. Karin touring from the school district
of New Haven, Hampton Public School, Hampden Public Schools. It's
out of East Haven, Connecticut. Thank you so much. Thank you.
All right, look, we gotta go. We'll have more of

(01:24:25):
the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up right after this.
You're listening to all right, guys, you've been chomping up
the bed. You want to talk some sports on what's
going on? It's a lot going on. Well, Steve ask
you guys a question off the air, true, what's going on? Well,
you know, if Steve asked us if we if we
could have anybody's game, it's in the NBA. Who's will Well,

(01:24:50):
you know who would you want to be? You know,
I'm I'm headed toward light Ski and I'm Curry. You know,
you head toward light You here, you there, you are.
If I if I could ball man like right now,
if I had a game, I think that's who I
am when I'm playing anyway, Dwayne Waite. Really, I've always

(01:25:11):
liked his game. His game is nice man Russell Westbrook,
he lightening speed, Oklahoma dog triple double. He involved in
the game. He's scoring, assisting, and he getting double rebounds,
forty of him in a season. He balling, He balling
in their aspect of the game. He trying to help

(01:25:31):
his team. I love and his motor man. Good lord,
how the boy's motor man? It's non stop forty eight minutes.
No one said Lebron. Oh, I mean, come on, great,
this basketball him the planet game. Okay, that's too obvious.
Just yeah, I mean he's too tall for me, that right.

(01:25:56):
Dare you say that? You got that right? I mean, yeah,
this sucks up by as knee one time you couldn't
got him being got him down time. They ain't pull
my size down the ladder. So okay, So who's going
to the playoffs? That's what we do? No, we like

(01:26:20):
I think we and uh, I hate to say I
told you so, but I said at the beginning before
Lebron ever went to LA I said, the worst place
he could possibly go is Los Angeles. Well Magic didn't
think so, our friend and family member Magic Johnson. But

(01:26:43):
it's not the best fault. I didn't. I didn't like
the move for Lebron in terms of his basketball legacy
because I didn't think he could finish it off the
right way. This guy has been in is it six
or eight of the last finals? Seven of the last
finals between six and he's been in the finals every year.

(01:27:07):
I knew he wasn't gonna get into the playoffs with
Los Angeles just what I thought now. I didn't know
he was gonna get hurt, and lord, I didn't wish
that on it, but I just didn't see it anyway
with the team. And I just think for business, probably
the great move, but for basketball, I just didn't like
it for him. Man, I would have loved to have

(01:27:30):
seen him go to Philly, and I think in Philly
mad and boys would be building something special. I just
did not see. Now. I knew he wasn't gonna go
to Milwaukee because I don't know if they got the
money up there, but that boy the freak. But right
after that, I said he should go to Houston. Well, Steve,

(01:27:52):
did you think the Lakers wouldn't make it to the
playoffs either? I thought the Actually I wasn't really seeing
that much. I never really if Lebron had a stayed
healthy probably so, probably so seventeen games without but then
they lost the rhythm they had built and they couldn't.
They never got it back. Good luck Lego fans, good luck,

(01:28:14):
good luck. Wow. All right, we'll be back with more
of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're
listening show and entertainment news. Our girl will Be Goldberg
is back, well sort of, sort of, sort of, not
one hundred percent. She's been out for over a month.

(01:28:34):
She's been suffering from double pneumonia and sepsis, some kind
of bacteria she had. Yeah, yeah, on Friday, Yeah, right
on Friday, she said she finally felt good enough to
stop by the View and surprise the ladies, and boy
were they surprised. Will Be said that she plans to
slowly ease back into her hosting duties over the next

(01:28:55):
week and a half. She dropped by because she missed everyone,
She really did, and she want you know how people
say she just wanted to put their eyes on her.
You know, she just wanted to put their eyes, her
eyes on them. She says, this is my first four
ray out. She explained that I'm not there yet, but
the only way it's going to get better is if
I begin So this is my beginning. Yeah, very happy

(01:29:20):
that she was back. Yeah, oh yeah, it really is. Yeah,
she really is. Yep, yep, all right. In other entertainment news,
Steve Jesse Smallette strolled into the Cook County, Illinois court
room to enter a not guilty plea well several, I
should say, at least to sixteen felony counts of disorderly

(01:29:42):
conduct for allegedly filing a false police report. The judge
told Jesse that he could travel to New York and
Los Angeles to meet with his legal teams, as long
as he notifies the court forty eight hours in advance. Now,
if Jesse is yeah, if Jussie is convicted of all
sixteen counts, he could face up to forty eight years

(01:30:04):
in I don't think. I don't think what he did
deserves that. I don't think that. I really don't. Ye,
Here's what I think this brother should get at best,
if if at best, probation, community service, right and a fine.
At best. He didn't hurt anybody. He didn't, he didn't

(01:30:26):
hit nobody, didn't he hurt himself. He heard his career.
Now he had the police department doing a lot of
unnecessarily unnecessary work, seemingly. So I'm look, I don't know
if he's guilty of answer, he's plead innocent. Maybe the
kid got some information we don't know, And I hope,
I hope that's true a lot of friends. I really

(01:30:47):
really hope that's true, man, because I like the kid,
I really really do. But if it looked like it's
gonna go sideway for your homie Jess uncle Steve talking,
it's called a plea barker. Yeah. Sometimes you got to
give him something, man, because if if they can get
you on anything, they will it's it's gonna take your

(01:31:07):
community service, get on probation at best. That's what should have.
He shouldn't do no time for this. Yeah, I hope
they don't try to make example out of him and everything.
Do you know what the president is doing? Yeah? Yeah,
oh man, get out of here. Yeah. So again, if
Jesse is convicted of all sixteen counts, he could face
up to forty eight years in prison. Each count carries
a potential sentence of one to three years. And he's

(01:31:30):
he's due back in court on April seventeenth, and it's
it's I don't think it's worth that. No, that's a lot.
I don't see him. I don't see jail time for
this now. I did have us going for a while though.
Well yeah, but if he's innocent, if he can have
the proof, like right now, it don't look good. No,

(01:31:51):
it doesn't. Just public opinion is wow. Come on, bro,
But even that, even let's say public opinion is correct,
let's just assume for a minute, it don't deserve jail. Yeah,
I don't because he lied. What he did was lie, lie,
if he did that. All right, we'll be back with

(01:32:11):
our last break of the day and Steve's closing remarks
right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve. Here we
are our last break of the day on this Monday.
We need you like never before. Please send this home. Hey,
you know what I want to do. Yes, I shared

(01:32:33):
this with you all. No, what I want to do
is I kind of shared this with you all, but
I think I should really share it with everybody. I
was reading something today. You know, I try to every day.
I don't make it every day, but I try to
have a morning meditation. I try to do morning meditation.

(01:32:53):
I really try to just become a better person, you know. Oh,
and it's in doing so, you know, you got to
really start really checking yourself and trying to find the
things that can move you into a better place. Tommy
sent me something on the phone after I share with

(01:33:15):
him what I'm about to share with you all, and
it's a plaque that says, I'm slowly becoming the person
that I should have been a long time ago. And
that's that's really what this is about. And I want
to talk to you about that, that I'm slowly becoming
the person that I should have been a long time ago.

(01:33:37):
The part of that statement, though, is for me to
be who I am now, I had to and we
all had to go through what we went through to
be who we are today. But man, don't you oftentimes
wish you had gotten it right sooner? I know you're
not supposed to live your life with regrets, man, But

(01:33:59):
as we all start becoming the person that you should
have been a long time ago, I'm gonna give you
some information that's gonna help you because it helped me.
During my morning meditation, I was reading something and I'm
not gonna read it to you exactly the way it
read to me, but I'm gonna share it with you.
I'm I'm gonna put it in my own words to

(01:34:19):
help you understand something. I was reading something about how
God feels about us when we are desire and seek
out things more than we do him. They call those
things idols. I guess you know you hear old people say,
you know, worship idols and stuff. It's not just talking
about a gold statue or something like that. It's talking

(01:34:43):
about anything that you place of more significance than your creator,
anything that you're after you seek and you put more
value on than your relationship with your career. That's just
an idol, whether it's money or whatever it is. You know,
it could be an another thing. But here's what really

(01:35:04):
messes up a lot of blessings. Man. And this was
so happening to me, and I read this this morning
and it sort of it just jacked me up all day,
but in a good way. And I'm gonna share with you.
I'm gonna just paraphrase it. And it was telling me
that when you are so determined to get your own weight,

(01:35:24):
and you all have been that, when you just want
your own way, you end up blocking God out of
your consciousness because See, when you seek your own way,
your own understanding, your own goals, your own mind set,
you're taking God out of the equation. So what he

(01:35:45):
wants us to do instead of going about your purpose
pursuing some single minded goal that you might have, he
really would refer, he really would prefer that you talk
to him about it. So before you go out set
full scale on these goals, dreams, aspirations that you might have,
he really wants you to talk to him about it.

(01:36:08):
Because what he wants you to do when you talk
to him is to allow his presence to shine in
your pursuit of it. But now here's the cold part
in allowing you. When you talk to him about it
and tell him what your goals and everything it is,
and you allow him to put his presence to shine

(01:36:28):
his light on your pursuit, He's shining the light on
it so you can see it from his perspective. See,
God wants you to see what his plan is because
if the goal that you're going for, if it fits
into God's plans for you, then God will help you
get there. But if it's not in God's plan for you,

(01:36:50):
if you're doing something that ain't in his will, for you.
This is the hard part if it's contrary to his
will for you. Do you know what he does? This
is how good God is man? Do you know that
he don't punish you for that? He don't get mad
at you about it. You know what I read? It

(01:37:14):
says that he gradually will change the desire of your heart.
Did you hear me? He don't get mad at you
when you decide to go your way in and pursue
his dream. What he does is he just gradually changes
your heart so you can see it his way, so

(01:37:35):
you can get the way he trying to get you too,
because his playing way better than the one you got.
But if you don't ever come to that understanding, man,
if you fight that like I've done so many times,
if you go against his will, you're fighting against the grain. Man.
Wouldn't it be so much slicker if you took all

(01:37:56):
your dreams and aspirations and goals to your creator totally
about it, and then listen to him and let him
help you in your pursuit of it. Because in your
pursuit of whatever it is you want, he'll put a
light on it, He'll put some grace on it. And
what that will do is it'll help you in your
pursuit of it. And if it's not the will that

(01:38:17):
he wanted you to be on in the first place,
he'll just gradually change your heart till you see it
his way. Man. Now that ain't some grace and some
mercy right there. I don't know what it is. Man.
I hope y'all understood what I just tried to say
to y'all. Really do get to him first and foremost,
talk to him about it before you strike out. Then

(01:38:38):
the rest of your life will fall into place, piece
by piece. And that's what's starting to happen to me.
Took me too long to get here. I'm slowly becoming
the person I should have been a long term ago.
