Speaker 1 (00:00):
Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time of
y'all don't know. Y'all have a suit on the down,
giving them like the million bucks things in the stubbings
Star true good it listening together for STU. Please I

(00:38):
don't join join me. You gotta use that turning you're

(01:10):
going to do. You gotta turn to turn them out.

(01:42):
Turn you got to turn them out. Then turn the
water to the water. Go. Come come on your bad
I show will good morning everybody. You are listening to

(02:06):
the voice one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
Come on, y'all. I said that a little bit wrong
this morning, but I'm tired. I just came out the gym.
I'm a little out of sorts right now. But it's okay.
I'll pull it together. But let me tell you something, man,
I got a clear cut message for you today. I
really do you know. As I've gotten older, I've began

(02:32):
to take some supplements. And supplements are to help your
body in things that it doesn't produce as much as
it used to. Supplements are designed to help you replenish

(02:54):
what's been depleted in your body. As supplements now now
are people I can tell you can speak a lot
more aggressively and a lot more knowledgeable on this subject.
But just giving you a just a brief overview of
my understanding of now, if you've been living your life

(03:16):
for a while, supplements are necessary for most of us now. Also,
if you've been living your life for a while spiritually,
you may need some supplements because you've just been at

(03:40):
it for a while. You don't got woe down a
little bit. You're tied, some people around you, ain't changing.
Some people around you draining. It's just life just keeps
on coming. Life don't ever get no easier. It just
you become more knowledgeable about how to hand it does

(04:01):
not get any either easier. You continue to lose loved ones,
you continue to have to confront the challenges. It's just
that over course of time you become experienced and you
can handle them better. But life don't get no easier.
But spiritually you get a little bit worn down. Well,

(04:21):
you need some spiritual supplements too. And I'm just gonna
flat out tell you, the more God that you can
replenish yourself with, the higher the dosage of God that
you are willing to put into your spiritual self, the

(04:43):
possibilities then become limitless. You actually have the ability to
make a conscious decision to supplement your body, and you
have a conscious decision to supplement your spit. You can
do both. So what I did was, I could just

(05:06):
tell you what I did. I was taking all these supplements.
I started taking supplements where I was about forty five.
I think that's when I began. I was thinking about
it one day and I just went wild. Man. I
started talking to some knowledgeable people. I found out I
needed these things. But then spiritually, man, I started supplementing
myself too. I started praying some more. I started trying

(05:29):
to gain a little bit more knowledge and wisdom and
understanding from scriptures and just try to make sense of
all of it, you know, just just make a little
bit more sense out of my life, make sure that
I was on the right path. A matter of fact,
get on the right path, find out my real purpose
and my mission in life. And nobody can do that

(05:51):
for you. That's something that you have to want to do.
But I started supplementing my spiritual side of my life
and supplementing my body. Now I happen to be right
now about in the best shape I've ever been in. Technically,
I can assure you though I am in the best

(06:11):
shape spiritually I have ever been in. Now my body
has looked better, it really has. I mean, come on, now,
at who I am in life, at the stage with
the years I've been walking this earth. Man, I'm cool,
But spiritually I'm in the best shape I've ever been in.
And what it's done for me, y'all is it's gave

(06:34):
me a peace and a calmness. You know, it used
to be, man, I used to fight so hard against
people who attack. Now, man, it ain't. It ain't as
serious to me because now I have a full understanding
that if I come under attack, that God is with me,
because that's a promise he made. That's Isaiah fifty four seventeen.

(06:54):
That's that's that's. Any weapon formed against you, any weapon
formed against you shall not prosper. You can't. You can't
come and get me. I'm not here for you to
take down because you didn't put me here. So why
would I feel a person bringing me down when they're
not the reason that I'm here. So when you attack me,

(07:18):
you have to be careful because I ain't ever by myself,
I formed the relationship with the most high that I
can rely on for protection, for coverage, and for peace.
A lot of times when things used to stress me out,
how to run this, how to handle this, how to
deal with that? You know, famous rough Man. And then

(07:40):
you put that together with some business, and you put
that together with your family. You got a lot of
stuff you're trying to tend to. I have a peace
of mind about it now because I have someone who
provides me with a sense of understanding and calmness that
lets me know that this tool shall pass. That it
ain't just a saying that I heard old people say that.

(08:03):
It ain't just something my mama used to tell me.
It's something that can really happen. Once you get an understanding,
this tool shall pass. This is just another piece of
life that you are now better equipped to handle. I'm
telling you what it's done for me. A millions of
people out there hear me. Man has done the same
thing for them. I'm telling it new to some people,

(08:27):
but there's some people that show enough understand what I'm saying.
And then if you have known this but kind of
forgot it, it's time for some supplements. So when you
get like that, and now you find yourself in a
situation with a disease or something, you gotta do something. Nah,
you gotta start juicing all your greens. You gotta start

(08:49):
detoxing your body. You gotta start purifying the system. See,
the human body has always had a way to repair
itself if you just give it a chance. Your mind
has always had a chance to repair itself if you
give it a chance, and your spirit always has a
chance to repair itself, if you give it a chance.

(09:12):
It's the only way I can maintain at this level.
And it's the only way I have any chance of
going further. I have to increase my dosage of spiritual supplements.
I got to talk to God a little bit more.
I got to pray a little bit more. I got
to understand his word a little bit more. That's all

(09:35):
I'm telling you. Man, If you do that, if you
just pray more, if you just studied a little bit more, Man,
just try to get an understand it, ask him to
help you understand. It will open up the possibilities of
your life into a realm you never could have imagined.
I'm telling you that's real. Okay, you're listening to ladies

(10:02):
and gentlemen let me have it. It's your undivided attention
that I need today as a new day. It's a
brand new dawning. It's an opportunity, it's a chance, it's
a new beginning. It's an awakening. It is your gift
from God. Let us take advantage of this. Let us

(10:25):
be grateful in this day. Well, this day didn't have
to be. But he did. Ain't you glad? He did?
I am question remains he is you. I did that
to hurt your ship and my heart, to make to

(10:45):
make your ears leak time. He enjoyed it, Junior Jordan
Caller understood it. Shirley was offended. Yes, Lord Charley Starberry
calling for real, Junior, definite times of going on the
morning top top tip. We're glad. I'm just telling surely

(11:15):
it was it was bad that I noticed. It was
just just an observation. I had felt that I was
going too long on the serious side, you know, because
I've been over here, I'm working, I've been speaking, and
you know, I just I ain't want to and I

(11:36):
spoke at this organization. Uh last night, Oh man, it's
a beautiful black tie fair. I came straight from taping
family feud over here and went straight to the event.
Of course I didn't have no tucks, but I was
still fly, you know, so up and they had a

(12:00):
lady interviewed me. And it was supposed to be like
a short five minute thing for a friend of mine
over heels, doing a favor for him for this entrepreneur
entrepreneur young entrepreneurs group that he had ended up being
forty five minutes. But it was nice. But can't tell
you something that women in South Africa there are no

(12:23):
fake nothing over them, no big what do you mean
by that shot? And none of that Oh no, no, no, no, no, no,
no enhancement at all, authentic, all fantic, proud of it.
Have conversations about it, okay. I mean now with me personally,

(12:46):
I'm talking about just clarified, plain now, make it plain,
write the vision and make it plain. But you know,
just in conversation between shows and stuff like that, it's
about that conversation. But I made an amazing analogy and

(13:08):
I gave a lot of Africans a lot of credit.
When we have time, we'll talk about it. But I
can't do it at thirty seconds, so we'll talk about it,
you know, Okay, all right, later, well something and by
the way, welcome back, Tommy. I just want you know what,
you don't had to do that in time. Now, I
had a dental appointment and I told my uncle that

(13:30):
you ain't gonna nothing to do with this. Oh look
at the time coming up with thirty two minutes after
the hour. We gotta ask the CLO. It's that time,
Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building. Right after this,
you're listening to Steve Morning Show time. Nofer asked the
CLO Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building. This

(13:52):
one is from Michelle from the iHeart app Michelle says,
I'm thirty six years old and I'm data a guy
that's five years younger than me. He owns a mobile
detailing business, and we went We met when he came
to my home to wash my car. We had an
instant attraction, and by his third visit, we had sex.

(14:13):
He asked me to be a woman, and we're supposed
to be dating. But this man is handsome and fine,
so I can't help. But wonder if he's having sex
with other female customers, will I be able to tell
if he's cheating? You? Only you, Only you? On the
build your house, three times washing your car? Did he

(14:35):
end up washing you? So? Now where in now have
you learned anything about him? Except he showed care wash
and wax? Yeah, now you you got what do you
mean if he's cheating? He wants you to be a woman? Okay,

(14:56):
but what how do we know? We don't or anything
about You don't know the man really that well, you
should have took some time to get to know him.
But now that you just left with him, now you
got to work through that and go on and get
to know the man. That's what you want to do.
Followed the little detailed truck round town. That's one way,

(15:19):
you know, tad out of gas. But yeah, he can't
help you because we don't know anything. He may be
the perfect guy. Yeah, you never know. But you're having
second thoughts because you have a little insecurity problem because
you keep talking about how fine he is. How high
fine are you? Ok? Yeah, it's five years younger than her.

(15:39):
She is probably feeling a little insecurity. Yeah, get to
know him. The detailed jug that's what you got. You
got that detail? Yeah, you got that special? All right,
We're moving on. Kenny in South Carolina says I'm in

(15:59):
my mid forties and I have a special friend that
I've been seeing for four months. He was the perfect
gentleman until this weekend when we tried to have sex
for the first time. He was talking too nasty and
calling me dirty names, and he smacked me real hard
on my backside. I told him to stop and we
needed to try again another time. He said, he needs

(16:21):
me to be a freak in the sheets, but I
don't want kinky sex. Is this the wrong man for me? Obviously?
It is? Yeah, yeah, you know because this just the
beginning that hard slap slapping. Yeah, he won't. He won't
freak kinky. You've been to be doing something, yeah, and
she's not into that. So well, you're gonna be down

(16:45):
in the kitchen washing your tinsels, you know, bringing them
on stage, you know, like spatulus and bachelors, you know,
pizzas and there with that punch bowl with the big
lader on. You're gonna be in here to try to

(17:06):
figure out what is we got up in the where
all this here? You got that greater next about chopping
blocking there, Yeah, shouldn't have been here. Got that mixer on.
He had cut the mixer on walking the balls to bed.
What let this go? He got? He had about a
blender up there, he making his own ky jelly. What's that?

(17:33):
We're home? Really holistic, all natural, little avocati in it.
Little alaver he got real alavera lee just snapping him
down to the But but but a poppet shell peas
at you while he doing all that. L you gonna
be in something, and you ain't gonna believe it when

(17:54):
that monkey come out, a little monkey in that cage
and let him loose. All right, we're moving on, gonna
bring one of his friends over there. And here a
little person huh, really ain't gonna know where going on
in but he just a cameraman nobody needed from a

(18:17):
real low angle. That's why you all right. We're going
to Onyx now in Florida. I'm a twenty six year
old hairstylist, and I just found out that I had
sex with my customer's husband. We met at a club
and he said he was single. We went to his
house and all he had was a bed, but he
said he had just moved in a week later, I

(18:37):
got a call from a customer saying she had a
rental house that would be perfect for me. She gave
me the address and a phone number. I recognized the
name number and the address, and I realized that I
had had sex with her husband in her house. Should
I tell her? Wow, you like you're gonna lose the

(19:01):
potential apartment and a customer. Yeah, how about you just
tell him you found out and leave him alone. Yeah, yeah,
you gotta leave him alone and stop doing her hair
though this is a possible lass whipping, and stop leaving
with men you meet at the club and going to

(19:23):
their house. But she gotta stopped doing her hair too.
Now now I'm gonna do her hat. Come on now,
Oh it's funny with fire. Yeah, getting there and get
to talking. Yeah, well, how come you didn't want that apartment?

(19:46):
I showed you? Well, right, No, it just seems so
when I saw it, it just felt felt wrong, you know,
it just felt like something, you know, I just bad
vibes in there, bad vibes, all right. Moving on to
Danita and Kanyer's Georgia, she says, I'm a single mother

(20:08):
of a twenty two year old son that works full
time and pays a household utility bills. Because he pays
a few bills he thinks he's grown. He's messing with
a thirty year old woman. And I don't mind her age.
It's the fact that she's too comfortable in my house
and that bothers me. The other night, she bought groceries
and was in the kitchen trying to cook for my son.

(20:29):
I raised hell and told her it wasn't happening. My
son got mad and threatened to move in with her.
Do I ease up or tell him bye bye bye bye?
Twenty two? Yeah, move in with you? Got over to
shoot and bought a woman over your mama house cooking
amber one queen in a castle, right, baby, tell him

(20:51):
by all right? Thank you? CeeLo. Coming up next. The
nephew would run that prank back right after this. You're
listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the
top of the hour, Miss Anna standing by with today's
national news. President Biden will give his presidential address tonight

(21:11):
before the Joint Session of Congress. Plus and entertainment news,
we'll tell you why Steve Harvey was trending on the
Shade Room and Twitter yesterday. Yeah, we'll discuss it. At
the top of the hour. We'll discuss it. We'll get
into it. But right now the nephew is here. We'll
run that Frank back. What you got for us, nef
We headed to the trailer home community right now. Okay,

(21:36):
that's where we're headed to the trailer home communities. So
all trailer home communities turn your radios up. We got
love for you here it is. This is trailer number
number eighteen, number eighteen. That's right, that's right, it was er.
You ain't forgot, have you? Trailer number eighteen. Let's go
cat down. Hello, let me sorry, miss miss Linda. Yes,

(21:59):
uh huh, this is one my cousin Amy and over
number eighteen. Yes, okay, we're not gonna We're not gonna
be able to pay to pay the rent on Friday.
Well when will you be able to pay it? Um?
Is it? Is? It? Okay? If if maybe you let
us go for the rest of the year with no ring,
are you kidding? I mean, you know you gotta the

(22:22):
whole pandemic thing, you know, so that's not working. But
that's just it. That's the only sort of income that
I have. So if you're going don't pay rent, then
I have no fault from income. My water bill was
over two thousand dollars this month. How did you even
call me and ask me a question like that? If
the pandemic thing is going on, so a lot of

(22:42):
us not working here, tell me about it because that's
my faults of income for the rest of the newest
No way, no, no way. We gotta we gotta, we
gotta come we something so because we got a problem here.
I thought you would maybe more like a Christian, that

(23:04):
you you would understand. You know, I'm a Christian, but
you need to be a Christian too, and let me
and know that I can't move my move out of
my house and have no where to stay and no
food to eat. But every everybody is a lot of people.
It's a lot of people are not working right now.
A lot of people are not working. You need to
look at TV and try to seek some of the
help that they're given to sinners, because they had it

(23:24):
on TV just today that landlords are going and and
filing reports on tenneths not paying and that it's a
Tennis responsibility to try to get some assistance and some help.
But no, nobody, we don't know where, We don't know
where to go to get no assistance, like like we
know we cannot, we cannot afford a month left alone
a year. And you're talking about this is not even

(23:46):
half the year going, and you're asking me to give
you a year free rent. What do you think this is?
What do you think I'm gonna live on for right now?
We're not working. We're not working right now, or nobody's working. Well,
we're not working these because the park is our words,
that's my only source of income. I gave everybody a year,
they would shut my park down. There would be no life,

(24:08):
no water, no nothing over there. And I'm not asking
for everybody else, just your number eighteen, that's all no,
and not what everybody else could have the right to
ask if you ask it. And you're paying the least
amount of rent that you've just written a lot the
other people are paying triple with your paying. So no,
I cannot we get we I mean we were getting.

(24:29):
We're supposed to get this stimulus, this stimulus are the
the the the the the the stimulus check we're supposed
to get it. But you know we need to do
other things. You know, we gotta get some food and
and the TV is out too, and kind of sounds
like you also got to get someplace to say. It
kind of sounds like you not only have to get
that for JA to sign you someplace to stay. So

(24:49):
because no, I'm we're not gonna we're not gonna leave
and we gotta nowhere else to go. Okay, well you
have to leave in if you get evicted to buth,
we're not We're not. We're not, We're not. We're not
going to leave it. We gotta get it lawyer. Then
we get a lawyer. Well, get you a lawyer, help
yourself yourself, get you a lawyer. You can get whatever
you want. But that lets me note right now that
if you know to make a trip to the courts

(25:11):
and short night sought on the fiction, that's what that
lets me know. But the answer is no. So the
conversation is kind. But we're not we're not working. We're
not working right now. I'm not working either. Well theybe
even like they when they when they look at the TV.
The president even he even knows nobody's working right now.
I'm not telling about it. I'm not working either. My

(25:32):
husband's not working either. None of us are working. I'm
not working either, miss miss Michelinda. I don't if someone
if someone come here to eighteen and try to put
us out. Then we got to kick somebody's as you
got what we're going to kick somebody's somebody come and
try to put us out, and we got nowhere else
to go. Well, you'll be kicking the police, because that's

(25:53):
who gonna will be handling it. We don't do anything illegal.
We go through the court system and we don't put
We don't put anybody out the court do it? Do
you know? I'll let them know what you're saying. I'll
let them know. Where do you Where do you live?
Where do you live? What? What the difference does that
make to you? I think it better if I come in.
I thought that you face to face and maybe we

(26:15):
by defeat. No way, No, I don't need to talk
to anybody face to face. You your husband did and
then and then you're not even on the contrast to
staying there, you're telling me your cousin. I don't even
know where you come from. I don't even know who
you are. I have no clue who you even are.
You say what you gotta say? We got no success said,
we gotta be out of here. They're going to do
some type of vision. What I tell her we're not working.

(26:38):
We're not we're not working right now. When we get
back to working, we get either, sir, I am not
working either. Okay, this conversation is in that you have
a good day. Fine, we got hello, who the hell
you think you're hanging up on? Hello? Can I can
they speak back to a one more thing, sir? Okay,
just hello? Who the hell are you think you're hanging

(27:08):
up on? Lady? I told you bye, sir, No, you
did you hang up on me? And I mean a
minute of a conversation. This conversation it's ended and goodbye.
That's what I said. Now, whether you were talking and
didn't hear me, that's one thing. I don't hang up
in people's faith, because I don't want anybody hanging up
in mind. And I don't want to have to I say, sir,

(27:30):
we have nothing else to say to each other. This
conversation is ended, and I and I'm telling you, and
I'm telling you now, I don't want to have to
whoop anybody's ass. But if someone come here to eighteen,
that's what's gonna happen. I'll let the Lord know that. Okay,
So our conversation is over. Well, so now you now
you know, you know you gotta lear who nothing? And
I am saying goodbye? Okay, what can I Can I

(27:52):
say something else? I can't stop you from talking, but
I'm telling you goodbye. Can I tell you one more thing?
Yep yourself? This is Nephew time from the Steve Harvey
Morning Show. Your daughter Katrina got me to prank funk
calling you a cartail. Mama Lenda, how you doing? I'm doing.

(28:26):
I'm gonna beat Katrina up and listen to this stuff
all the time. You know what you gotta do for me,
Mama Lenda. It's twenty twenty. You gotta tell everybody let's listening.
What is the baddest and I mean the baddest radio
show in the land, The Steve Harvey Morning. Do you

(28:51):
know what next week I might do? Trailing number nineteen,
number twenty, ain't no tell I might just going on
down the street. Eighteen didn't go that well for you
at first? Do you remember which is a good side?
Let's see it. I'm done. I don't know what I'm
gonna do next. You're taking your victory lap. You're chilling

(29:12):
thinking of coming up. At the top of the hour.
We'll have some entertainment and national news for you. Right
after this, you're listening well and trending entertainment news. Yesterday, Steve,
you were trending on the Shade Room and on Twitter
after an old interview resurface of you saying that men

(29:36):
and women can't be friends or they can't even have
a platonic relationship. Okay, take a listen for my friends
and men. I don't have female friends. I don't. I'm
incapable of that. What do I mean, Well, because you know,
come on, cause you have a wife. Well, I have
a wife, and I don't. I don't really have female friends.
Because look, okay, let's get rid of this. Okay, I'm

(30:01):
gonna tell you that that's good. Rid of this right there,
that you're an attractive woman. There's some guys somewhere is saying, yeah,
I'm we're friends. No, that's not true. He's your friend
only because you have made it absolutely clear that nothing
else is happening except this friendship we have. We remain
your friends in hopes that one day there'll be a

(30:23):
crack in the door, a chink in the armor and
trust and belief that guy that you think is just
your buddy, he will slide in that crack the moment
he gets the opportunity. Because we're god, ninety nine point
nine percent of us think that way. Yeah, I'm perfectly

(30:43):
comfortable with that. I'm fine with I can trend, you
know the content, and we gotta I stand by that. Okay, cool.
So what I'm asking you, Steve, have times change? You
still feel that way? You said you're standing by it,
But have times changed now? Because a lot of debate
about yeah, okay, you know actually and when they're married

(31:04):
and everything. Okay, I don't see how that works. I
don't see how that works. I can't see how you're
married and a female can call your house and you're
sitting up that talking to on the phone, and you
got a wife. How does that work? People? I got
friends that are married, though, that are opposite sex. You

(31:26):
can't have that. What you mean? I mean I got
friends that are married that the opposite sex. I don't
have nothing to do with that. Women, What you mean
you got friends that's married the opposite I have some
female friends that that they're married, but there's no interest
that we're just friends. She finds not all of them,

(31:48):
but my mom, Well, Okay, okay, well maybe we're throwing
the word friendship around to Lucy. Some of them are
what you get all of your damn friends from? How
who got all the many? Damn it? But wait a minute, week,
why do you think I can't hear more than one friend?
You always say that time? You know, we don't never
see you with the same friend. So you got Okay, man,

(32:12):
how many friends you think you have? Just out for
a number? How many friends you think? Are you talking male?
A female? That's all I probably got, really really a
true good for four or five friends? That's and how
many of them is women? No? No, no, not true
like that? Okay, what is we talking about? Are you
making this cast that point? Right now? Let's ask Junior.

(32:37):
He's not married, But what do you think, Junior? No,
I really can't be your friend? And you fine, no,
because I'm not what I'll be thinking about, because what
that's not what I'm be thinking about. I'm not gonna
be thinking about being your friend, you know, I'm thinking
about being your lover. But even if she she put

(32:58):
you in the friend zone yourself, I don't say I'm
gonna wait as soon as there's a slip up I'm
gonna wait. I'm gonna listen to the whole story. What
he did? What to you? God, he don't even know
what you willed? I don't and I don't know many
men who can pull that off. Your friends, Timmy has
four friends. He just said, all of them live. Yeah,

(33:20):
all right, Steve, we gotta move on hot topic right there,
All right, time for today's headlines. Let's go, ladies and gentlemen.
Miss Anne Tripp, Okay, thank you very much, and good
morning everybody out there. This is a trip of the news.
The State Departments ordering some non essential personnel at the
Umbassy and Cobble to leave old concerns for their safety.

(33:41):
The State Department says the job now is to find
alternatives to the metavac capabilities and other security services that
the US military has been providing the staff up there
at the State Department. Washington's also, you know, preparing to
get the remaining US forces out of Afghanistan by September eleventh.
The Centers for Disease Controls relaxing its guidelines for wearing

(34:02):
masks outdoors. The head of the CDC, doctor Rochelle Wilinsky,
says the fact that so many people have received. The
anti COVID serum has changed things for better. If you
are fully vaccinated and want to attend a small outdoor
gathering with people who are vaccinated and unvaccinated, or dying
at an outdoor restaurant with friends from multiple households, the

(34:24):
science shows if you're vaccinated, you can do so safely.
Unmasks will. Nevertheless, health officials are still urging people to
remain vigilant, since we're still living with a pandemic, and
since more contagious forms of the virus are still spreading,
and since a lot of Americans have not gotten any
kind of vaccine and won't do it and won't wear masks.

(34:44):
In Elizabeth City, North Carolina, the family of the late
Andrew Brown calling his killing by police and execution after
reviewing the results of an independent autopsy, Brown, who was unarmed,
shot and killed it he tried to drive away from
cops who wanted to apprehend him on a drug related search.
In arrest warrant. Brown's son, Khalil care Ferraby, says his
father was shot five times, but with a kill shot

(35:06):
execution style to the back of the head, even though
he was being sought for a non violent crime. Those
three gunshots to the arm. That war enough, That war enough.
It's obviously was trying to get away. It's obvious. Meanwhile,
earlier that day, across the board in Virginia, another unarmed
black man was killed by white cops. He was on
the phone to the nine one one dispatcher. Isaiah Brown,

(35:28):
no relation to Andrew Brown, was shot ten times by
cops who thought his phone was a weapon. All seven
of them had been suspended at last report. Isaiah Brown's
fighting for his life. Policing practices across the nation coming
under scrutiny in the wake of George Floyd's and Brianna
Taylor's murders. Abergeiger, the former Texas cop who murdered a
black accountant named Botham Jean in October twenty nineteen. She

(35:50):
wants out of jail. She was sentenced to ten years
in prison. A panel of three judges heard her. Lloyd's
argument for appeal. Yesterday he had turned out scrabbles about
to clean up its act, no longer allowing racial, ethnic
slurs or curse words. Remember that's the way it's going
to be. Now back to the Steve Harby Morning Show.
You're listening. All right, So Steve, during our last segment,

(36:13):
we told you that you're really trending on Twitter in
the shade room because they found an old interview you
did saying that men and women can't be friends, and
you were saying, you stand by what you said. You
don't believe that men and women can't be friends if
they're in relationships with other people. Look are these kinds

(36:34):
of people and that are that kind of people. If
you want to take the position that you can be friends,
then go ahead, give it a try. But I am
saying if you are in a valid relationship, those friendships
are hard to maintain, and those friendships will interfere with

(36:57):
your committed relationship. They almost always do. They almost all.
How many strawberry letters do we get? How many times?
How many people do I know where? See because it
listened to me. In order to build and maintain a friendship,

(37:17):
it takes time. Any time that pulls away from your
committed relationship, it's gonna be considered by your partner time
that could be devoted to them or your kids. And
so if you are pulling time away from your partner
and your children to maintain this relationship, with this other person.

(37:40):
It can stop creat a problem. Now if you couples
and y'all got friendships among each other, okay, cool, but
it's very hard man, if you are in a relationship
to have a friendship and it's not a couple's thing,
it's just it's a great area. That's just me that

(38:03):
you have every right to feel like you can be
buddies to the to the moon. Come on, turn off, fine,
you know. See. See the thing about social media is
they do things to create the controversy. I didn't say
it to create controversy. I said it to give my opinion.

(38:25):
But you have every right. Yeah. But see, I don't
want to be trending to be everybody's damn whipping board
because you don't think like I think. Have your friends,
you get on your nerve, have your friends. Now when
something go wrong in your relationship because one of your friends.
Because I'm gonna say something about women. If your girl

(38:48):
knows you have a friendship with another woman, what woman
ain't gonna have a little curiosity about that friendship? Who that?
Why this woman that? Because I ain't met her yet,
she ain't on this show. Yeah, they got a female friend.
You can say that yeah, yeah with the couples. All right,

(39:12):
I hear what you say. Who you're talking You're talking
to your wife, your Frande. Great debate, So coming up
at thirty four minutes after the hour, right, and more
of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're
listening to show. Okay, So last segment. You know we've

(39:33):
been talking about this. We said it earlier, Steve, you
were trending yesterday on Shade Room and Twitter. Old interview
resurfaced about you talking about men and women camp as
they can't be in a platomic relationship. And you know
we were talking about an off air So this is
really the great debate. You know, we always talk about this.

(39:54):
Uh so you have more you want to say about this? Well, look,
I mean, like I always say, su people. First of all,
let's get this whole thing in context. If you are
in a relationship, having a friendship with a member of
the opposite sect, it's gonna be hard to maintain that
friendship because it will take away time from your committed

(40:17):
relationship and your family. That's number two. But let's just
say you're single and you have a female friend. Okay,
that's cool, But now that changes the moment you are
attracted to her, you're single, and you have a female friend. Okay, man,

(40:38):
let me tell you something. I don't care what these
men on Twitter talking about. I don't give a damn
what they say. You can get on here and try
to act all brand new like you Cosmo Pilot, than
then you Metro and all listen. Dog, at the end
of the day, you are mad, you're saying you know
good in hair well or what I'm saying to you

(40:58):
is real at some point if you're sitting up there
in that conversation started turning pardoning them and you see
an opening. How long you think y'all gonna be friends?
Y'all be friends with benefits. And it's not making women sexual.
It's just I want you to be aware of how
we are as men and how we think. And yeah,

(41:22):
and y'all can look man, you don't have to another. Yeah.
So here's what I say to everybody on Twitter and
everybody on the Shade room. You can disagree with Uncle Steve.
That's absolutely fine. You a perfect way. And you can
think I'm an old fashioned I probably am. But I

(41:44):
can't have female friends in my relationship. My wife can't
have male friends in our relationship. Now, if you think
you can run it another way, they didn't, go ahead
and run it. But when you get through, cut on
the housewive shows, cut on all these love and hip
hop Miami New Yak and just watch and see how

(42:04):
long it left. Go just tune into the reunions. You
ain't gonna watch your whole show. All what I'm saying
is on all these shows you can watch Ready for Love,
Ready to Love, You gonna get to what I'm telling
you now. If you want to disagree, that's perfectly fine.
But ladies, let let me let me just slide a

(42:25):
little something to you. I've been a man long as time.
All my friends are men, all of them I know.
And then the label of friendship. So if people are listening,
they can say, well, aren't you friends or Carlin Shirley,

(42:48):
aren't you friends with them? Yes we are, but we
are work friends and we have a work relationship and
we and we've become more than friends. We almost family family.
I can call Shirley because I'm gonna call her about work.
Call it calls us about work all the time. My
wife know that. Yep. Now some other girl that work

(43:14):
at our heart radio or something that ain't in this
When she called, if she called, what time? She's just
telling me how she enjoyed this show. What you're just
talking about the show? Why you gotta talk to her
about this show? Because your girl gonna get suspicious and

(43:37):
your guy gonna get suspicious. In relationships like that, you
don't leave room for error, you know, like you say,
once that door is open, you you leave an opportunity
or a chance that someone may walk in and you know,
get it cracking if that's you know, what's in their mind?
So who is this mbing in love? Count and you

(43:58):
from Chicago on WWJ? Who is the car be one
of three? Three? All right, well, Steve, you know I'm Africa?
What is I'm trending forward? Coming up next? The nephew

(44:20):
is here with the prank phone call. Right after this,
you're listening to morning show coming up at the top
of the hour. Right about four minutes after, it's my
Strawberry letter for today. The subject he tells his mama everything. Dang,
we'll get into that. We'll get into that a little later,

(44:40):
but right now, the nephew's here, Yeah, everything. Nephew is
here right now with today's prank phone call. What you
got for his nef? I left my ring. That's the
title right there. I left my ring. This is not
Lord of the Rings. This is not Ring around the

(45:01):
I loved my RINGO. Hello, I'm trying to reach a mister.
Mister missus please all right. My name is doctor. I'm
actually trying to reach your husband Clarence. Is he Is
he available? I have to check? Is that reason you? Colin? Well,

(45:23):
I'm actually the surgeon that actually did the procedure on
removing his gall stones wall. How's he doing as any
complications thus far? Well? More complication the doctor? Okay, well listen, uh,
there's a couple of little bit of things I want
to discuss with you guys and see if we can
maybe get them rectified. Is he around? H oh? He

(45:48):
actually miss Actually, when we actually did the procedure on
your on your husband and removing the gall stones wall,
I will say that there's a bit of a mistake
made and I'm hoping that he can come back in
so we can kind of get it rectified. You know,
it'll be actually thirty minutes and he'll be in and out.
But actually, when I removed the gall stones and I'm
very embarrassed to say this. I actually left my wedding

(46:10):
ring inside your hus and I understand, man, I say,
I actually left my wedding ring inside your husband when
I actually removed the gall stones. And I'm hoping that
he'll come back in so I can actually take it
out and he'll be on his way. He's my book,
Oh man, let me take it? What ye hello? Hello? Hello,

(46:47):
mister yeah, how you doing? This is doctor who I
actually did the surgery on you when you were came
in and got your gall stones removed. I will say this,
mister Clarence, I actually made a bit of a mistake
when you were here year and my apology. If I
can actually get you come back, hen man, I can
get you taken care of it, and then this is
just a big mistake on my part. But when you

(47:09):
guys came in and I remove your stones, I actually
left my wedding ring inside inside of me. Ye ye, yes, sir,
you're wedding ring. Sir. I know this is crazy, but yes,
I have truly made a mistake and want to see
if I can get this thing rectified and get this
thing taken out. And I tell you, man, I've been
without my ring, and my wife is raising holy hell

(47:30):
about it. Yeah, but you know something, doctor, we got
a problem with What do you mean? I mean, I'm
about to go back to work. I really can't be
going back into the operated room for somebody to take
a ring out of me that they left, that they left.
Bad mistake, you know what I'm saying. Okay, I mean,
you know, I realize your wife might be upstanding. You
need your ring, but at this point that ring's gonna

(47:53):
have to stay where it is for a while. So
I can't. I runnestly, can't allow with that ring to
stay there another two or three days. I don't think
you understanding what I'm going through. There's no way I
can allow that. Yeah, I got to go back to worry.
But you know something, I mean, you know, I mean,
you know we're talking about a bad, bad, serious problem.
You know we're talking about mal practice. I mean, you
know we're talking about me taking out more time and

(48:14):
work when I'm ready to go back. I mean, you know,
we're talking law suit, all kinds of stuff. Yeah, we
need to get together. Can you hear me that? No? Yeah? Yeah, okay,
my wife's upset too. I mean you know, I can't
get back on an operating tape. Sir. This won't take
for seconds. It's actually for me to snip that thing

(48:34):
and get that ring out of there. It won't take
but a minute. I mean, you still have the same
incisions there. I can go right back into what the
same scar was and take that out and keep it moving.
Go back into the same and you're gonna operate again.
If you're cutting me open, sir, I promise you you
won't even know I was there. I'll go in there
and take that ring out just that quick. Okay, But
but let me ask you this here. My wife. My

(48:54):
wife is about to go crazy. I'm I'm pretty I'm
a pretty good guy here. But I mean, you know
you gotta left for ringing, man. I mean, you know,
do you all have mal practice insurance? And we have
plenty of insurance. You know, it's really more about what
I'm going through at home. So I'm doing this for years. Yeah,
pretty much here at this point, I mean, no one
actually from the hospital actually knows that I'm actually calling you. Wow,

(49:16):
you know, I mean that's a big, big problem. You
said something about malpractice. No, I didn't say anything about
mail practice. You guys actually said that. I didn't say anything. Okay,
now let me oh, okay, hold on not daring hold on? Well, now,
let me ask you this here. Every time I've heard
of somebody leaving something inside of somebody, you know, it
usually end up being a situation where it sets up

(49:38):
infections and stuff. Well, that's that's an eighteen care goal.
That's not going to infect you at all. Yeah, I
understand what you're saying, but good grief. I mean, I
just I mean, I didn't even want to do the
first surgery, but I didn't have any choice. You know what,
I'll be honest with you. I tried to talk to
you and be patient with you. If I got to
come over and put some core form up against your

(49:58):
nose and knock you out, I wanted to perform this
procedure to get my ring, then damn it, that's what
I gotta do. Oh, hold on that that what I'm
supposed to be doing. Why are you doing that? You
hear that? And you what he said? Who? Come on?
You know I'm not gonna stand for these stretch now.
You know that's your problem with your ring. Now. You know,
up until now, everything was cool. Now you got a

(50:21):
big problem. I tell you it's here. I'm at home
right now. You're at home with my ring. You got
my ring? You come get it right now the way? No, okay, now,
I don't I don't have a problem coming right over
there to get my ring. But want I need my
ring back? Let's do it. Come on over. Why I
need Why don't we got something for you? Down? Hey, listen,

(50:42):
I don't care what the both of you are doing.
The bottom line is that you have my ring. I
got your ring. You just told me I had it,
and it's inside of it. Well, I's gonna stay, sir.
I'm not gonna continue to go back and forth with you.
You're not gonna continue to do anything because you come over.
I'm gonna kick you out. You already threatened to come
over here and put Plora from I'm gonna locking me
out to go in the side of my body to

(51:03):
come over here. Doctor, got problems. I'll tell you what.
I don't want any problems out of your wife or
heart of you. That's only gonna take thirty minutes and
everybody will be happy after that. You won't make it down.
I understand everything you say. I got one more thing
I need to say to the both of you all.
Are you listening to me? I'm listening. It's Dorus listening. No,
not really, tude you out. Well, where's the last thing

(51:25):
I need to say to you? This is Nephew Tommy
from the Steve Harbin Morning Show. Y'all just got pranked
by y'all, niece teaches whatever be there. Hell Nexhew Timment,
Nephew Thomas, that you mane nixt Thomment and yeah, I

(51:51):
still got your links and my whole man. You're messing
with my heart talking about going back inside of my body.
Let me let me let me speak to missus Dard.
What missus doge? Alright, hey, miss Dard, I got one
more thing. Now? What is the baddest radio show in

(54:07):
on tight. We got it for you here. It is
a straw. Every letter subject he tells his mama everything.
Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a twenty eight year old woman
that just eloped with the love of my life. We
dated for seven years and we did not want to
waste money on a big wedding, so we eloped and
had a nice ceremony. I also wanted to elope so

(54:28):
my husband's mom wouldn't be all in the mix trying
to tell us what to do. She's the reason that
I waited so long to get married. She's a meddler
and a gossiper, and it's not really her fault because
my husband tells her everything I do. It's been going
on since we started dating seven years ago, and we
fight about his mother all the time. Back when we

(54:49):
first had sex, he told his mother and she told
my mother. My mother was hurt. My husband and I
broke up twice before we got married because his mom
said I was too into sex after he told her
that my sex drive is very high. The second time
we broke up, he told his mother that I was
considering dying my hair blonde, and his mother called me

(55:10):
and said, that's not a classy color for a black girl.
I started making up stuff just to see how much
of a mama's boy he was being, and he fell
right into the trap. I told him I was behind
in my student loan payments, and he told his mama.
She called me and asked if I was having money

(55:31):
problems and suggested that I get a second job so
I could pay my bills. I'd had enough and I
decided to fight fire with fire. I told his mom
that he's experiencing ed so we have not had sex
in over three weeks. His mama called him and he
was fuming mad at me and said I shouldn't have
told his mama his business. Oh really, He has avoided

(55:55):
me the past few days. But we need to have
a discussion about his mama and her never ending mess.
How do I get him to stop telling his mama everything?
Please help? I think you asked a little late for
all of this. You're married now, His mama is his mama,
and she's been allowed to to be all up in

(56:15):
the mix for seven years. Okay, she's not going to
change that. This is a monster your mama's boy husband
created and there are no boundaries with him or her.
I mean, you saw that seven years ago. He tells
her everything, and then she goes and runs her mouth.
I mean, honestly, I'm really surprised that you married into this.

(56:35):
You said you waited to marry him for seven years
because of his mama and her mouth. But she's still
doing it. So what was the seven year wait for.
She has not changed. You could have married him seven
years ago and gotten the same thing, the same, very
same thing as you got now. The only time you
break up now, think about this. You said then a letter,

(56:56):
you broke up twice. The only time you broke up
was because of his mom get into his business. I'm
still trying to figure out why you thought it would
be different now because he put a ring on it. No,
this situation is stupid. He I just think he is
and always will be a mama's boy who hasn't learned
to put his wife first. And that's the problem. And

(57:21):
mom is just doing mom, She's just doing her. This
marriage is not gonna last unless you and your husband
presents some sort of united front to his mother so
she'll know that she needs to butt out of your marriage,
plain and simple, Steve, everything surely said is true. It's

(57:42):
not a lot I can add to this, but you
know I will. But you know I like, I like see,
I like little bitty stuff. The fact that you eloped
says it all right there. And the reason you elope
is because his mother's messy and you ain't want up

(58:03):
in your business. Now, you obviously love this dude because
y'all have been dating seven years. But you're Elope. You
had a nice little ceremony. Now she's a meddler gossiper.
But it's not her fault because my husband tells her everything. See,
this whole letter really has nothing to do with her.

(58:25):
This letter is about you, the writer and your husband
der mama's boy, because that's all he is. He's a
mama's boy. Now, at the end of your letter, you say,
how do I get him to stop telling his mama everything?

(58:46):
It's gonna be hard. It's really really going to be
hard because he's a mama's boy and he's been one
for at least you say you're twenty eight. Let's just
say y'all the same age. He's twenty eight and y'all
been together seven years. He's been a mama's boy for
about twenty eight damn years, the whole damn time. So

(59:14):
it's hard to disengage or get a person to resend
all these thoughts he's been having for twenty eight years.
He's a mama's boy. Let me just go through a
couple of things right here. Y'all fight about his mama
all the time because he defends her because he's a

(59:34):
mama's boy. So then he told you he told his
mother that when y'all finally had sex? Who do that?
Me and my mama have never buff discussed sex ever.
We didn't have the birds and the bees conversation. My

(59:56):
daddy came and gave that to me. It was short,
it was the point, and it was not clinical. I
would love to have heard that. I can't repeat nothing
he told me. I believe it. That was my sex
education talk with my daddy. Rule threw me into something.

(01:00:18):
How old were you about? Twelve thirteen? All right? You
know back then that was that was plenty of time. Yeah,
I hold that thought, Steve. We'll have part two of
your response coming up in twenty three minutes after the
hour today's Strawberry letter. He tells his mama everything. We'll
get back into it right after this. You're listening to show,

(01:00:41):
all right, Come on, Steve Lett's recap today's Strawberry Letter
subject he tells his mama everything. What's your problem? You
didn't married a mama's boy. Now you waited seven years
to man because his mama's always met, and so y'all
eloped so she wouldn't be up in your bus since
she had a nice little ceremony. But your husband tells

(01:01:02):
her stuff all the time, and all y'all do is
fight about hurt. Back when y'all first had sex, he
told his mother. His mama got on the phone, call
your mama. Your mother was hurt. Y'all broke up twice
before y'all got mad because his mama said I was
two into six after he told her my sex drive

(01:01:23):
is hot. What boy goes in there talking to his
mama about his girlfriend sex driving? Right? I don't know anyone,
So right there, lady, what are we talking about? The
second time we broke up, he told his mother that
I was considering dying my head blonde, and his mama

(01:01:46):
called me and said, that's not a classic color for
a black girl. I hadn't seen some flave chicks with
some black girls. Richard blonde boy. Carla has blind in
her hair, and it's always how it's always whipped. That's

(01:02:06):
one thing about the ladies on this show, Carling Shirley Monica.
They are gonna be right, yeah, always. But she didn't
want you to die your hair black. So then you
started making up stuff to see how much of a
mama's boy he fell into the trap. He'd have told

(01:02:27):
everything I was behind. That was my student lone payments,
he told his mama. She called me and as well,
I was having money problems and suggestion I get a
second job because the show can't count on my baby
because he my baby. Not gonna have this boy working

(01:02:47):
on two jobs and he'd be tied then. So then
you decided to fight fire with fire. You told his
mother that he's experiencing ED so we ain't had sex,
and over three weeks his mama called him and he
was fuming mad at me and said I shouldn't have
told his mama his business. Well, ain't that stupid? Yeah,

(01:03:09):
you tell all of hers a mom. He avoided me
the past few days. But we need to have a
discussion about his mama and this never ending mess. How
do I get him stop telling? You can't he's a
mama's boy, and he'd been there for twenty years. And
I want you to understand it's not her as him.
You're married to a mama's boy. Period. I don't know

(01:03:33):
how to stop these mama boys because I've seen some
bad cases of that. What's the worst, Well, I had
to due one time. He was real close to his mother.
You know, we understood that because his father had died.
You know, we grew up together. But he just everything
My mama said. I'm gonna tell my mama, hey, hey,

(01:03:56):
because you're on our street. The lady down the street
could give you whipping two oh yeah, yeah yeah, and
I village all savages. I'd have got beat by all
my friends. Mother. Yeah, but there's not about here. It's

(01:04:16):
just a real case. Shirley said it best. This is
a mama's boy. He's not going to check. I can't
help you. You married a mama's boy. All I can
help you with is relationship problems with me? What does
she wait for seven years to get the same thing? Though?

(01:04:36):
Why don't you do this, lady, because you may be
able to get out this marriage. Why don't you check
his driver's license and get a copy's birthtivity because you
might be you know, he might be fourteen. He's feel
a boy, he's feel you can get out your marriage.
Why would she got a high sex dride? Tell your

(01:05:01):
mama dad about you? What mama bringing it? Yeah? Ain't
you got to go to work? Why is she screwing
all evening? I'm gonna call huh listen, Lacresia, This is

(01:05:21):
Earls mama. How much time we got? We got time
for a reenactmentute a minute? Ten seconds? Shirley, huh oh, yes,
I'm gonna call you. I'm gonna call you. You the wife? Okay, hello, Shirley, Yes,

(01:05:41):
this is Earles mama. Win got a lot of time. Okay,
you an earl? Earl says you got a high sex drive?
He did? Don't act like he was talking about you. Well,
wait a minute now, missus Dorothy, that's our business. Why
did he tell you that? Did you ask it? What
it calls? Earl beat high and he got to go
to work? Well? Are you all in here all night

(01:06:04):
dancing on the edge of the bed and everything it
needs to get his rich erl? Kaye perform his job
and perform with you too. Well? He five hailves a week. Well,
miss Dorothy. I understand you told my mother. Now my
mother is upset. Missus Dorothy, I told your mamma because
we got to stop him. Am I doing that so well?

(01:06:27):
Miss Dorothy, that's just perfectly natural. I'm human? Who in
this boy? All these days of the week. He's a man,
Miss Dorothy. You keep saying he's a boy. He's gonna think,
here's my baby here? All right, listen, I think we

(01:06:47):
get it. Thank you, Steve post your comments Today's Strawberry Letter,
and Steve Harvey FM and Instagram and Facebook coming up
with forty six minutes after Junior in Sports talk right
after this you're listening show. All right, guys, get ready,
Junior is here with sports talk. When you got Junior, yeah, surely. Um.
Let me just say this NFL draft will be tomorrow night.

(01:07:10):
That's your sports talk. Let me just to just confess
something for a second about this whole thing we've been
talking about all morning, Carla, about about being friends and everything.
Men and women, Yeah, being men, men and women being friends.
Let me just confess this. First of all, I had
to grow into a friendship with Mississippi Monica because I
didn't see friend when I first saw her. When I
first started to work here, I didn't see friend. I

(01:07:30):
saw when I saw mud, I saw a relationship. I
had an instant family. It was I saw, yeah I
need like yeah, I mean, but that's the first thing
I thought. I didn't think about I'm gonna be her friend.
I didn't think that. I saw us on an island
somewhere with with some drinks and just talking no one another.

(01:07:51):
That's what I was thinking. Now I found out we
were friends through Monica. Oh, I could put you in
the friends round. That's how I found out, and most
men five out. That's how they friends, wouldn't they tell us? Right? Yeah? Yeah,
if you've remained friends, we are great friends and she's
been a great asset to my life. But that wasn't
the first thing I thought it. Okay, you've accepted. I

(01:08:15):
had to now because it can't go underwear. She won't
let it be getting different. So that's you know, that's
where I'm word. If she were to change her mind,
you're ready right there. Who wouldn't, Who wouldn't. That's good
to Yeah, that's the purpose of it. Yeah, I like it. Yeah, Yeah,
I'm like what I'm saying, Like I'm friends on the protest.

(01:08:37):
That's what I am. All right. That sports, Yeah, that's
all I had to I had to get that out
the way. The draft tomorrow, forget that. This is more important.
Monica's here to day, right, yes, sir, draft starts tomorrow.

(01:08:59):
None of that on you. Over here. They don't give
a damn about football or basketball, cricket. I don't actually
figured cricket out now. And rugby, oh yeah, rugby? Have
you have you gotten into it? Any of it? You
watch it? Yeah? A little bit. They got female rugby
rugby over here too. Oh wow, okay, it was one

(01:09:23):
of the contestants on the show. Cute little African girl.
This little girl I'm talking about fly rugby player. I
thought she was the ball you thought she was. She
was so damn little, like huh about eighty nine pounds.

(01:09:44):
I see it? So popular? Are you over there? Just
give us an idea. I can't go nowhere, I can't anywhere. No,
I can't go anywhere. And it's a different kind of
love over here too. Huh. It's sheer appreciation. Oh, I
disbelieve that is human. But they are so man all right,

(01:10:12):
coming up, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
Right after this. You're listening to the String Show. All right, guys,
listen to this crazy story. Please. Fully vaccinated people can
now unmask at small outdoor gatherings or when dining outside
with friends from multiple households. That's okay, the CDC is telling, Yeah, yeah,

(01:10:37):
that's that's fine. Just keep listening, keep listening. The CDC
is telling unvaccinated people that they still need to wear
a mask at such gatherings. Also, fully vaccinated people who
do choose to attend a crowded outdoor event such as
a live performance or sporting event, wearing a mask is recommended.

(01:10:58):
The CDC at eyes vaccinated people to still wear a
mask and indoor public spaces such as a mall, movie theater,
or museum. Okay, you got that right, right, all right?
So meanwhile, while the CDC, you know, put that announcement out,
here's Tucker Carlson from Fox News, the anchor over there,

(01:11:21):
suggesting that you ask people to take their masks off
if they are wearing them outside. Uh, you ask them,
You call the police, and you could even call Child
Protective Services if you see children wearing masks outside, you
want them all what's yeah, we're still in a pandemic.

(01:11:45):
Everybody hasn't had their shots, and what Tucker Carlson, Child
Protective Services. Yeah, the police say no. He's trying to say,
since the CDC is saying you don't have to wear
your mask out side if you've been vaccinated. If you
see people with their mask on outside, go up to him,

(01:12:06):
take their masks off. Call the police. So if you
see their children wearing masks on outside, call Child Protecting
Services on them. It's an idiot. He's an idiot. He's
a complete idiot. We're still in the pandemic here. We're
still we're still in the pandemic. Don't' don't let your
news anchor get you. I'd be trying to be stupid.

(01:12:30):
See he's not trying to be that's that's that's cool.
The CDC has given the guidelines. You don't come back
behind the CDC and issue your own stuff. Tucker Carlson,
stop it. You don't go up on people. Yeah, you
leave people alone. You don't call the police. Some people.
We've got enough problem with the police right now. They've

(01:12:52):
been jockey for a position over there. Every sist, oh
Trump boy got put off. They've been Hannity became they dude.
Now Tucker Carlson, he wants to bump Hannity, so he
coming with the more controversial stuff. True. Yea, lord, lord,

(01:13:16):
I mean that's just ridiculous. Yeah, I just think that's
irresponsible as a broadcaster to say that stuff, to even
suggest that to your viewers. Call the pol as much
trouble is I mean, as we've had, as we're having
with the police right now, get out here, call the
police on people with with masks. What'd you say, Tommy,

(01:13:41):
tuck your ass in your house and shut up, not
tuck it though crazy. You can't just go in there.
You gotta tuck it it. Get over here right now,
there are people wearing masks, Get out here, tell them
to take their masks. Is. If y'all tell me one

(01:14:06):
more thing about fun, I'm gonna stop you'all from watching Fox.
I mean, I'm gonna stop yall from watching because this
isn't guy's too stupid. It's just two weeks. Yeah, he's
telling he's actually telling people to go up and harass
other people who are wearing masks. That's not gonna be good. No,
that's from the president. He sent all the people down
there at the rage the capital. Yeah. Yeah, they just

(01:14:26):
send the people to do I'm so sick these people, man. Yeah,
it's a lot going on man in this country. Every
single day. It's something just like it's your freedom. Uh
you say you don't want to wear a mask, so
don't mess with people that want to wear that. Yeah,
everybody has can do what they want to do. We're
all free in this country. Stop that call the police.

(01:14:49):
What's wrong with you? Child Protective Services on Kids? All right.
We'll have more of today's trending stories on the Steve
Harvey Morning Show coming up at twenty minutes after. Right
after this, I've been making love with my mask on
you're listening to show? All right? Our friend and colleague,

It just really is. It's a fun show to watch.
It's grown people, it's about love and dating. And let
me vote. We want you to win. All right. We'll
have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
at thirty three minutes after. Right after this, you're listening
to all right, here we go again. What's going on?

(01:16:59):
We always have to asked this question because we told
you about this yesterday. It's been all over everything. An
autopsy done for the family of Andrew Brown Junior says
that Andrew Brown Junior was shot five times and shot
in the head. One of brown family's attorneys, Chantelle Cherry Lasseter,

(01:17:20):
said the family was only shown twenty seconds of the
body camera footage and it showed Brown in his vehicle
boxed in a driveway by law enforcement so he couldn't escape.
She said, he had his hands firmly on the steering wheel.
They ran up to his vehicle shooting. He still stayed

(01:17:41):
there in his vehicle with his hands on the steering
wheel while being shot at. The FBI has now opened
a civil rights investigation into the shooting of Andrew Brown Junior.
This just was Yeah, he really was the right word
when they said that you're at But what's the audio.

(01:18:02):
We heard the audio, Well, it was twenty second snippet
of the body cam footage from what happened. But the
family they deserve to see it all day. Because I've
been over here, I haven't seen this story. Yeah, he
was in his driveway with his hands on the steering

(01:18:24):
wheel and they ran up to him shooting. Yeah, and
we don't know he had warrants. Uh, they came to
serve a warrant, he had warrants. But is that a
reason to execute this man? No? Well, yeah, yeah, here

(01:18:44):
we go again. Here we go again. And the family
has been asking and asking and asking in that part
of North Carolina, North Carolina. There they don't have to
release the tape, and if they do, they have to
do it by core order. Steve, But what's the purpose
of recording If we can't see it, then what's the

(01:19:05):
purpose of the well, Elizabeth State, North Carolina. Well, I
think one reason is because they don't want to release it,
so it can kind of um kind of take the
jury for before they release all the information to the public.
But the family are not They're not gonna be on
the jury. They deserve to see what happened to their
loved one. Well, the other reason they're not showing it

(01:19:28):
is that it's just so they can get their story together.
That's the main reason, and that I think, just to
buy time to get your story right. Yeah. Some of
those officers have quit, I think one retired and then
about seven of them are so are un administrative leave.

(01:19:48):
Why are so many of them out there? Exactly so
there's so many questions in this particular story. It's just
sickening to me. This one really is, I mean, like
all the rest of them. But yeah, God, I've been
crumping Bacari sellers. They're on the case. All right, we'll
be back with our last break of the day and

(01:20:09):
for some closing remarks for the one and only from
the one and only Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes
after right after this, you're listening, all right, guys. Here
we are last break of the day and time for
Steve Harvey's closing remarks. Um, what's on your mind? Steve?

(01:20:30):
I don't know. You know, it's so much going on
back home. I can't keep up with it because I'm working.
The time frame says, not the same TV station. You
can get cn in sometimes a lot of times you can.
But you know what, I had a discussion aution for
YouTube when you finish, Yeah, I had. I had a

(01:20:51):
discussion on a commercial break with some young people from
South Africa and she was saying, how could we build
a bond, a better bond with American blacks and US
as Africans. And then she was talking about because America
is so much more advanced, and I had to stop

(01:21:14):
her for a second because I've spent a great deal
of time in both places. America has some advancements. But
I wanted to make her feel better about herself, and
I thought. I told her, I said, you know all
that we are in America, we got from you, our ancestors,

(01:21:36):
our African heritage. You know what's created as cool in
this country. And I'm not saying this to be racist.
I want everybody to hear and understand my heart with this.
This is a fact. Atmost, everything that is determined what
is cool in this country is determined by Black people.

(01:22:00):
Every new dance that comes out, it's determined by young
black people. The latest fashions for streetwear and all of that,
what we do out on the streets, that's determined by
black people. That's all the time. We are always in

(01:22:22):
the forefront. How we where our hair is determined by
black people. What is called swag is determined by young
black people. What is dripped is determined by young black people.
And I wanted this young girl in African to know,
and I asked her, where do you think we get

(01:22:43):
this from? We get this from y'all. The rhythm to beat.
The soul that we have, that's because of our African heritage.
The way we dress in reggae, and the and the
need to look fly in the way we are doing ourselves,
that's because we are Africans. We got our new hairstyles

(01:23:06):
over here. You know how jay Z got his hair. Now,
African's been doing that. You see people calling rolling and
all like that. African's been doing that. It's our culture.
The way we danced, Africans been doing that. You should
see some of these young dance troops over here. It

(01:23:27):
is amazing how they are. The athleticism that we have,
it's because we got it from our own people, from
the African culture. And so I wanted to make her
and she that audience gave me a standing ovation. Not
a lot of people here, that's twelve people, but they
still have been top clapping because they said, man, we

(01:23:48):
had never looked at it that way, but you have
to look at it that way. And this continent is rich, y'all.
It's rich with our culture, it's rich with resources. I
want every person to put it on their bucket list
to go to Africa. It's I'm telling you it just

(01:24:09):
be so well worth it. All of the myths you
have will be destroyed. This is a place, man, and
they welcome you with open arms over here. They love
the connection. They love it. When I say I'm home,
thank you for loving me and for allowing me to
come home. I'm just pushing it really tough, man. I thought,

(01:24:29):
I want everybody to come over here. Come to Botswana,
go to Ghana, go to the Congo, go to the Okravine,
good delta, you know, just go and see this continent
that we are from. And when you see these people,
you're gonna think they from Detroit. You're gonna think they're

(01:24:51):
from Atlanta. You're gonna thank you saw me in Charlotte somewhere.
You're gonna swabbing down you saw him in DC. Up
at wh you are you gonna swab up? Folk? Go
and you know, it's just like that. Man. It's so crazy. Man.
But I'm so proud to be African American. I'm so

(01:25:13):
proud and has been a great part of my life
right now in a great relief to connect with the
continent of Africa. It's been one of the most rewarding
things I've done. And I can't express upon you all
enough to get yourself over him, save your money and
come over here. Okay, you're making me want to go

(01:25:35):
for sure. Really where was your question, Carla? Well, that
was kind of it. I was saying that. Yeah, it
was kind of being that you're in Africa and everything.
What's been going on here, you know, to come back
home and police brutality, social injustice and and and don't

(01:25:58):
get me wrong, you know this this is our country.
This is home, right, But how are you feeling? You know,
you're we lift through you sometimes you know what you're doing.
And where the money? Shots? Where the money? Here's the
thing I was joking. We're saying to the audience the
other day. I said, we're still dealing with the way

(01:26:20):
the police treat us. We're still dealing with some systemic racism. Yeah,
I say, I'd rather the way I drive over here,
stop me, let me give you a couple hundred, let
me go. I would rather do that than stop and
get shot. Ye. Not stop when you get stopped by

(01:26:40):
the police over here, It ain't causing your color. We
are all the same color. It's because you violated the
traffic law. That's it. And you don't have to die
for it. Man. They ain't shooting no K only for it.
People like this, so you said, mixed, biged reviews. I'll

(01:27:03):
be headed home tomorrow, so I'll see y'all in a
couple of days. All right, y'all, be good talk from y'all.
