Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the best a billion Lisa.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
In the Morning. It's pretty surprisy. This is the best
of Billy and Lisa in the Morning.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
We are coming up on the holidays, you guys, and
one of the topic times that we had this week
was is it okay to give it cash for Christmas?

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Or is that kind of like a cop out gift?

Speaker 4 (00:19):
The holidays are here. We had our jingle ball last night,
so we were up late and up early, and we
start talking about the holidays and the stress that goes
along with the holidays and who to get what.

Speaker 5 (00:32):
Well, it's lunchtime, right, Yeah. One week, a little over
a week.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
I haven't done any holiday shopping at all.

Speaker 5 (00:38):
Nothing. Nothing, that's not like you.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
I've had a lot going on. No, no, I'm starting.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
And that's why I firmly believe cash is king it
comes to the holidays.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Well, there three and five people agree with you, Billy,
that they want cold, hard cash so much so that
gen z and millennials want you just to send them
cash through zell or Venmo. They don't even want.

Speaker 5 (01:04):
To like the car, they don't even want a car
now to touch the money.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
I don't agree with that.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
I know that's very in perfect Veno cards.

Speaker 5 (01:12):
Can I can Venmo produce a ridley?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
I think she'd be totally proud of it.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
By the way, feel free to call us or send
us a talk back. You can call it six one
seven nine eight. When I give cash, typically I will
also give a card with a note or something. But
with me the cash thing, it's like it's a win
win for both sides. It's a win for the person
receiving the gift because now you're not getting a gift
that you're going to throw in a drawer or in

(01:38):
a closet somewhere, right.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
It gives you the freedom to buy what you want.
But the other side of the coin is that a
lot of people don't want to give cash because they
do want to spend some time thinking about the person
and getting them something that they think they would like.
But the problem is is that when that happens, sometimes
you know, it's like a really it's not a good gift.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
See, there's a reason returns are such a big saying.
The day after Christmas, everybody's in line at customer service
returning the thing they got.

Speaker 6 (02:08):
Well, that's why you give a gift for seat, so
they can return it. Yeah, mall's a pack the day
after Christmas. Yeah, yeah, I mean cash is crash is great.
I love it, but I also do see you know,
getting something something practical for someone that they're going to
use or that means something to that person.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
Okay, So do you want me to get your socks
and underwear and.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
I'll take cash? Okay, thank you for that.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
See what I mean? Cash is king.

Speaker 5 (02:32):
But what am I gonna get my wife cash?

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Well, his wife cash wife cat. He stacks him right
next to the bedside table.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Yeah well no, I no, I get her a handful
of gifts. But then one of them is walking around money.
That's my trademark. Give your wife walking around Okay, yeah,
but she appreciates it, right Yeah, Like, for instance, for
her birthday early next year. You know, we're going on
a trip, so one of the will be like an
envelope with some walking around money on the trip.

Speaker 6 (03:03):
You really are like robertson Arrow good Fellas.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
She takes it with a smile.

Speaker 6 (03:11):
We talk a lot about your wife and that we
love her, but she can be a little frugal.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
So does she ever complain, like, no, this is too much?

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Don't interesting you say that? Because She is very careful
and very frugal. But she never complains about the money. No, never,
never says, oh this is too much, you know you
know what?

Speaker 5 (03:30):
Wow, in one year, don't give her the envelope and
see if she says it.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
You do that. Where's my walking around money? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (03:37):
Put it to the test.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Question this morning? Is cash king for the holidays again?
You can send justin to Chalkbaco. You can give us
a call six one, seven, nine, three eight Is cash
king justin? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (03:50):
I don't know, but Producer Riley, can I just vendo
you your kiss kim Z Soure, You'll take it.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
All right, Let's get right into the number four moment.
It's producer Riley.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
I'm kind of down the best of Billy and Lisa
from this week, the top five moments of the week.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
So we are coming up on.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
The holidays, and we were discussing is it okay to
give cash for Christmas? Or is that like a cop
out gift? I know most people are okay with getting cash.
They can spend it however they like. I know that's
how I feel. But we wanted to know what you
guys think.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
So let's go right to the phones.

Speaker 7 (04:22):
Good morning, guys, Happy holidays.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
Happy Holidays.

Speaker 7 (04:26):
I think I'm I am one of the ones that's
on the other side of the spectrum. I personally think
a gift around the Christmas it's a time to show
to people you love that you're putting thought behind it,
that you're going out and taking an extra mile to
get them something super thoughtful or a gift of an
experience or something to build those memories. So for me,

(04:47):
I'm like, listen, go that extra mile and get.

Speaker 8 (04:50):
Them a gift.

Speaker 7 (04:50):
Even if they return it. I think it's just the
thought that goes behind it. And I'm super old school
like that. And for me, I'm like, I work, I
get my own things that I need, but when someone
else gets it for me and I get to look
at that gift that they get, I always remember, Oh
they got me, Its got me this gift, this gift
at this time, and it's super special. So for me,

(05:11):
I think the old school traditional getting a gift is
the way to go.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
Yeah, but Rick, cal let's face it, you're getting them
the gift you think they want and most of the
time not so much.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
But I think a good gift giver is someone over
the course of the year. Will you know, write down
something if someone says something in a conversation, Oh I
wish I had that, or that's where the thought comes in,
and that's where it becomes like a nice thing, like, oh,
they were actually listening to me.

Speaker 9 (05:38):
Well.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
The downside of cash, okay, is that if everybody's giving cash,
you're just exchanging cash with everybody. Sure, here's your gift. Oh,
here's your Oh wait a minute, I gave you more
than you gave me.

Speaker 6 (05:51):
So I started doing that taking notes. This is the
first year I've taken multiple notes for people. I did
take a note on Billy, but I don't remember what
this was. I did get you this, Billy, but at
least maybe you remember it was sometime during the show
this year.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
I have it written down. Body deodorant for Billy.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
What.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
Yeah, we talked about it.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Are you suggesting I smell?

Speaker 5 (06:12):
No, I have a vague memory.

Speaker 6 (06:13):
We talked about some kind of deodorant, not just for
your armpits, maybe for your entire body.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
Oh that's right. It was in the news one morning
where there's a deodorant for your privates.

Speaker 5 (06:23):
Yes, and you wanted it, so I have it on
my list.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Maybe I will that's like a quirky gift.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
Well you want it to be a happy post in there,
that's a quirky What.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
Else do you get there?

Speaker 2 (06:31):
I know you know.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
Pens because it uses a different pens.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
That's what I mean. I've got enough pens. Yeah, I
still you got me a box like three hundred tens.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
This is an empty pen thing in my stee just came.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
In my office. They're overflowing and by the way, open
the cabinet and two boxes that you got me. So
it's two straight years now, I've got about one hundred and.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
Fifty pence right at least I got to return these pens.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
I love walking around money. My fiance we're getting married
in June, also calls it walking around money, and sometimes
she gives me that as a gift and I.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Have no problem with it. I expect it for Christmas
and I love.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
It because I spend it on things that I have
a hard time buying for myself, you know, like if
I want to get my nails done or buy myself
a new outfit.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Sure, I think it's great.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
Now you get exactly what you want. Another downside of cash,
But I'm still a fan of cash. Cash is king
is like you forget what you gave someone for cash
the previous year, So if you mistakenly give them less
the following year, they're thinking, what, I'm not as important
in your life anymore.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
Did that to me last year?

Speaker 4 (07:40):
It's fine?

Speaker 10 (07:41):
What now?

Speaker 5 (07:41):
It's fine.

Speaker 6 (07:42):
I don't I don't care. I didn't give me less
than the previous year. No way, I don't blame you
for that. You'll probably don't remember. And I'm grateful for
anything you give me.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
It could be even less this year.

Speaker 5 (07:50):
I know I expected a hard time. You know, it's
a tough economy, and.

Speaker 11 (07:55):
This economy, you're lucky to get anything.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
So any present, cash or otherwise is amazing. Just be
thankful and grateful for that. Mary Christmas Thanks, She's right
about that. Just be thankful and grateful that you have
people in your life that give you gifts.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Correct.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
Yeah, I'm grateful for your friendship, Bill.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
Stop Bill, But you're not really Yes, I see what
I mean. This is what happens at the holidays. You're
not grateful. You just want what you want.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
No, no, no grateful?

Speaker 4 (08:23):
Am I being grinchy?

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Remember I got you like monogram stationary one year and
I still have monogram towels.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
Now, what does that mean that I still have three years?

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Not because well, you don't write personal notes that much,
but when you.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
Do, you have it. I actually used your stationary like
two days ago, so yeah, I do use it appreciate
every time I see it. So, by the way, that's
a good gift idea monogram, the stationary. Let's go to Kristin,
who's in the Easton. Hey Kristin, Hey, good morning, Hey Kristin.
Let me ask you something about Easton. I always feel like,
once you get off the highway, Easton doesn't exist, like

(08:58):
is it all highway?

Speaker 2 (09:01):
No?

Speaker 8 (09:02):
No, So if you get off twenty four year like
you know in brock Day, if you get f one
ninety five year, annoy in and then you get to
you know, just come over to Easton. But no, we're
we're in our cute little bubble and most people prefers
to keep it out.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
Do you actually have neighborhoods?

Speaker 8 (09:17):
Yes, yes, Actually we don't know if it's true or not,
but supposedly a very high profile singer songwriter is moving
to my neighborhood and she's dating a member of the Patriots.
So we can all.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Whoa hold on.

Speaker 9 (09:39):
Supposedly, that's the rumor.

Speaker 8 (09:41):
There's been a lot of digging on this to see
if it's true or not.

Speaker 4 (09:44):
Okay, hold on all of a sudden, I don't even
care about cash. She's kidding. You're giving us an exclusive story.

Speaker 5 (09:51):
Cardi B.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Is thinking of moving to Easton, Massachusetts.

Speaker 8 (09:55):
Yes, and in my neighborhood, which is even crazier because
when we bought it a few years ago, we bought
it because it was a very quiet family neighborhood, not
for long.

Speaker 12 (10:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (10:04):
Now I'm like, come see, don't although the house is beautiful,
so I can completely understand if this is true, why
she would buy.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
So, Kristin, here's the deal. You're our person to Cardi B. Okay,
here's the deal. She's moving into the neighborhood. You have
to make a pie and bring it to it. Welcome Yeah,
and welcome her to the neighborhood.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Well, I heard it.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
I will.

Speaker 8 (10:24):
I will go over with a basket and at like,
you know, one of those cameras that just hide in
the basket.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
Yeah, Kristin, I'm not even kidding. You got to bring
the pie and then call in and tell us how
it went.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
I will do that.

Speaker 5 (10:37):
In the house or what.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
The house is beautiful.

Speaker 8 (10:41):
The house is beautiful. It remodeled it.

Speaker 5 (10:45):
Wow, I can't believe this. This is this is breaking news.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
Oh yeah, at LISTA, don't you have a real estate story?

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Well, I can't mention the other Patriots person who might
be moving up the street from me.

Speaker 5 (10:57):
Oh you have on this?

Speaker 4 (10:59):
Yes, five houses your way?

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Okay, oh yeah, somebody very famous.

Speaker 5 (11:04):
All right, well, Kristin keep us updated on this please, yeah,
I will.

Speaker 12 (11:09):
I mean again, it's all Rumorab'll see what happens. But
with how this house is on lockdown and yeah whatever
you could, you could totally see it and she'd get
some pride, they'd get some privacy or whatever.

Speaker 8 (11:19):
But we do have we have neighborhoods. We do have
beautiful neighborhoods here in town, and it's a great community,
and our school systems are good and we have one
of the best music programs in the state. I'm just
going to get a plug through Eastern Music right here.

Speaker 5 (11:32):
There you go.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
You know they're going to fill up the neighborhood. Stephan's
got about thirty seven children.

Speaker 5 (11:36):
Oh yeah, and Cardi B has many children as well.

Speaker 9 (11:40):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
Christian.

Speaker 5 (11:41):
Look you love this. Bill started this conversation with kind
of poking fun at Easton. Now we're all in on it.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
Oh yeah, I want to move to Eastern y.

Speaker 8 (11:48):
You know what, don't knock to play chat at friends.

Speaker 5 (11:51):
It's a great, good job, Chris, Thank you, Kristiny Bye.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
It's pretty so Riley and I'm tuning down the top
five moments of the week with you from Billy and
Lisa in the More.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
Let's get right into number three.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
At the end of every year, we always give away
awards on the Billy and Lisa Show, stuff like the
Best Mess Up Award, the Dirtiest Award, the wt F Award,
and this year did not disappoint.

Speaker 13 (12:13):
Let's get right into it, to the Billy and Lisa
Awards no worse Sorry Bill, Lisa in the Morning featuring
Billy Costa, Lisa Donahood your host, justin.

Speaker 4 (12:34):

Speaker 5 (12:34):
We wait all year for this. I love that. Okay.
Every year at the end of the year, awards happen.

Speaker 6 (12:41):
These are are categories, various categories that people are nominated in.
Usually it's only one person and we'll run through them
right now. There's also a new award this year. There's
a new award, but starting off for the award of
Best mess Ups of twenty twenty five. For the second

(13:03):
year in a row, the award goes to It's not you, Lisa,
It's not you, It's Uncle Bill.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
What do I care? He's gone? Okay, how about that?
Have a nice shrimp out of town? Okay, Charon So,
Jessica Simpson is now drinking sperm. Hey, hey, don't forget
Lady Gargar is the artist of the day. That honor
went to Josh Allen of The Bull Serena Williams was
part of that halftime show doing the creek walk. Somebody

(13:33):
else has to this morning. Just one of the what
the fuck.

Speaker 5 (13:45):
You got a speech?

Speaker 4 (13:46):
There? Bill Well?

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Was that?

Speaker 4 (13:48):
Yeah? All I can say is we move at a
very fast pace here on the Billy and Lisa Morning Show.
I do want to welcome our live studio audience this
morning for these awards, and I do wholeheartedly accept my
award for what category?

Speaker 6 (14:04):
Is it?

Speaker 5 (14:04):
Gestion the best mess Ups?

Speaker 4 (14:05):
All right, I am the mess up king you are.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
Up?

Speaker 4 (14:12):
Thank you? Job? No one got her?

Speaker 6 (14:13):
Yeah, no one better. The next award end of year
twenty twenty five. This award is the Best Singing Award,
but this one's a little bit different though. It's gonna
go to Lisa, Okay, and this actually happened recently. It
was a really cool moment. Obviously, she did the Boston
Pops a couple of days ago, but before that we
had Keith Lockhart in the studio and she did a

(14:34):
reading of Twice the night before Christmas. And so Lisa,
I'm giving you the Best Singing Award, even though it's
not really singing.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
It was the night before Christmas. Went all through the house.
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The
stockings were hung by the chimney with care in hopes
that Saint Nicholas soon would be there.

Speaker 5 (14:53):
Yeah, we had no doubt that you were going to
kill it with the.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Boston I have to say, with Keith Lockhart sitting here,
there's a lot of pressure.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
I think all families should play that clip around the
tree this holiday.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Is very heartwarming. So thank you for that. Since I
wasn't really singing.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
No, but I'll take it.

Speaker 6 (15:09):
But yeah, it was a moment, Okay, we wanted to
throw in there all right. Next up for the biggest
WTF moments for the third year in a row, the
award goes to Billy Costa.

Speaker 4 (15:26):
I don't want to sound weird, but I think I
could look at Brad Pitt forever. You're actually having vagina pain.
She's what she calls herself, a crumbling guzzler. Michelle and
I have a giant tree in our front yard. We
named them Charles, and we hug them every day. Are
you my friend? You know I was once told I
had Olympic sperm by a doctor. You won't for me

(15:48):
relaxing and just troking up and down. Oh and by
the way, go to your mother crazy, literally you might
side And I got there on this one.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
Quite the year for you.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
Yeah, really has been, you know, some magical moments. And
thank you so much for listening every day and bearing
with us every day. And I promise to continue to
do my absolute best. Congratulations Bill, thank you. Congratulations.

Speaker 6 (16:23):
Here for the next award, the end of year Billion
Lisa Show Awards for the Dirtiest award for the seventh
year in a row.

Speaker 5 (16:33):
Okay, there has not been another win.

Speaker 4 (16:35):
It's a dynasty.

Speaker 5 (16:37):
I'd say no more.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
It goes to our own Lisa Donovan.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
That's been premises.

Speaker 5 (16:43):
You never knew existent.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
I'm stuffing every time it right into your face, gonna
be blowing, like twenty five to thirty you mean.

Speaker 10 (16:54):
Dick, get it on with a horse, dry dry, drive
hop on any time. My family's so proud.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
Yeah, just beautifully done. There was like you know, in
a symphony of words.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
I did own the category.

Speaker 5 (17:11):
You really do. Thank you, even though it's taking out
of context.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
It always is. If you're a new listener.

Speaker 6 (17:17):
Yes, and like every single year, we have a message
for you from your dad, Lisa, this is your dad.

Speaker 4 (17:22):
Please keep it clean, all right?

Speaker 6 (17:29):
Two more categories. Yes, best candid microphone for the seventh
year in a row.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
Another dynasty. This is your third award. Bill, you're cleaning
up this.

Speaker 5 (17:42):
You've been a busy bullet on a hardware.

Speaker 6 (17:44):
Best Candid Microphones goes to Bill Costa. Of course, has
a compilation Enjoy.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
The candied Microphone. No one ever knows when he's talking
into the canon. If I had my way with you,
I'd have you buried in sand up to your chin,
and then I'd sprinkle food on your head so animals
would just show your face off. Do you really want
me to go there? Wow, I'm ahead of the director

(18:15):
of the Red Sox Foundation. I'm way ahead of the
globe about I'm way ahead of Amazon robotics. I step
on your face on my way up. Nobody cares about
what restaurants you're going to. We are having dinner every
way you travel. Oh, if you've been to this restaurant,
shut up up. I'm on vacation. I'm not going to
any restaurants. Okay, I'm going to get a slice of

(18:36):
pizza down at the marina. Wow, Like, what do the
the wards really show about Bill unhinged?

Speaker 5 (18:48):
Very unhinged a little bit.

Speaker 4 (18:51):
I would like to say I sit here proudly, and
I certainly would love to say that my family is
very proud of my candid microphone moments. But I guess
what just kind of pushed them aside, forget they ever happened. Okay, okay,
And they're all doctored, by the way, by they are
not doctored.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
I do not I do not do that.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
No, No, that's the spoken word of you.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
Seven years the Spoken Word Award. All right.

Speaker 6 (19:18):
The next award actually goes to one of our listeners.
This is a first for this year in the category
of best call. Would be when listener Holly called in
to win jingle Ball tickets while getting pulled over.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
Remember this, We've got called twenty five in the phone. Now, Molly,
never hit your breaks. You went through it, Holly. Hi,
everybody getting pulled over, getting pulled over right now by
a police officer because I'm so excited to be on
this is awesomebody.

Speaker 6 (19:51):
I went through a yellow light.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
I was just so excited.

Speaker 2 (19:54):
Okay, all right, I have to tell you I've met
Holly at jingle Ball.

Speaker 12 (19:57):
You did.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
She came up to me. Wow, she her husband, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
And they were walking around the concourse and she's like,
I'm Holly, I'm Hollie. I'm the one that got pulled over. Yeah,
I can't believe that.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
Yeah, she was trying to win.

Speaker 6 (20:09):
She wanted to go to jingle Ball and she got
pulled over and literally you can hear the cop in
the background. Yeah, and she got a warning which was cool,
which got to go to jingle Ball right now. If
you listen, if you heard that call. We eventually tried
to get the cop on the phone with us, yes,
but he wasn't try to do that.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
But at the endi did so say something like I
hope you won something big yeah, well, yeah, yeah, yeah,
nice guy.

Speaker 6 (20:29):
All right, final final award here, And this is the
first This is a first for this one in the
category of grossest.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
Five for the first time in the history of this show.
I have to take the cake.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
I agree when I made this.

Speaker 6 (20:49):
Shocking confession during a confessional segment topic time that we did.

Speaker 4 (20:55):
Since I was little, and where is this going?

Speaker 2 (20:57):
What's going on here?

Speaker 6 (21:00):
I'll take a shower, I'll get out, and you know,
once a week, once every couple of weeks, I will
clip my toenails when I'm clean, obviously, and since I
was little, clip my toenails into a little.

Speaker 5 (21:13):
Pile, you know, so I don't leave them all over
the area.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
And sometimes I'll chew on them.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Oh you eat them? Oh God, that's so gross.

Speaker 4 (21:24):
Now I think you win this one hands down.

Speaker 6 (21:27):
I gotta say, Okay, very embarrassed but making that confession.
But also I feel like it was a cleansing of
my soul because nobody, not even my wife, my family
ever knew this. And now I put it out there
and I'm free of it.

Speaker 4 (21:43):
You know what else is cool? There wasn't even a
second place.

Speaker 5 (21:47):
There wasn't it was it?

Speaker 2 (21:48):
Can I ask them follow up question, Okay, are you
still doing it?

Speaker 4 (21:54):
Oh my god, you are good for you. Do you
do it in front of your family? Now?

Speaker 5 (22:01):
I still hide it.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
I'm very embarrassed really after the big review. Yeah, you
should do it out in the open. No, no, no,
I want my wife to sleep with me. And you know,
so it's a bunch of them at a time. No,
it's just one.

Speaker 6 (22:14):
I bite my fingernails, so you know, it's kind of
the same in my mind. I know it's a gross thing.
And if you're listening to this, I know you don't
have to tell me, go message me and tell me.

Speaker 4 (22:24):
Do you think there's a chance someone may have heard
it and started doing it on their own.

Speaker 6 (22:28):
Maybe it's it's very relaxing, inspiring. I could be inspiring people.

Speaker 4 (22:33):
Yeah, so there we go. Okay, well, congratulations, thank you
very much.

Speaker 5 (22:37):
I feel I'm actually tearing up. Tearing up. Yeah, it
just feels so good to let something go. The sneaking,
the peaking, the you know, hing. It it's out there total.
Everybody knows.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
Okay, take it or leave it, like it or don't
like it. I'm doing it. Spent a great year. Yeah,
this one belong solely to you. I don't think there's
another person on earth doing it.

Speaker 5 (23:03):
Thank you very much.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
So there you go. Okay, all right.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
Jingle Ball was on Sunday and we are still reliving
the moments.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
This one was out of this world. It's producer Riley.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
This is the best of Billy and Lisa in the
morning and our number two moment goes to a jingle
Ball behind the scenes.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
Guys, how did we feel about this year's jingle Ball?
Oh God, every act was more amazing than the next one.
My favorite. I got to actually see Olivia Dean. I
was standing in the crowd.

Speaker 4 (23:30):
Oh man, she had a cool band too. She had
a brass section. I knew she would she did.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
I saw them walking down the hall like this is.

Speaker 5 (23:37):
So poor guy.

Speaker 6 (23:38):
Saw a little bit from side stage, but she was
super nice. We met her backstage, just very sweet. How
you would imagine?

Speaker 2 (23:45):
Can I say that the puppies backstage.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
Were Chewy Clause big hits. The artists loved the puppies.
Every one of them just grabbed the puppy and held
on to it. And I think Olivia Dean went in
and sat in the corral with all of the puppies
at one point last night she did it.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
It was Chewy dot com sash Chewy clause and you
can make a wish for your pet, right Yeah.

Speaker 6 (24:05):
Yeah, you can see all the videos on the kiss
social every artist. At the end of the interview with Billy,
they would bring the puppies in and they just lost
their minds.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
If I'm not mistaken, she may have taken one.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
That was a moment.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
Yeah, she fell in love. I think the dog's name
was Eggnog. They named all the pups after something Christmas
like Tinsel and Holy and joy. But yeah, just to
explain the backstage situation, We're all hanging out there, me
and Lisa and justin producer Riley, and they just come

(24:39):
in like every minute, it seems there's another artist coming
in and you're doing another interview. And we started off
with Miles Smith because he was the first performer to
actually come backstage and he was working it in the afternoon.
Yesterday he did a pop up at the Dubliner in
Boston at three o'clock in the after noon and he

(25:01):
talked to us about it.

Speaker 14 (25:02):
It was incredible, what a time man, and just being
able to take in the city, meet the people and
just be part of it. Before tonight we planned it.
I was I knew I was coming over, and I
knew it was going to be going to a few
states and puts him being one of my favorites.

Speaker 4 (25:14):
It was just like, let's just go out and do something.
Christmas is around the corner. Let's have some fun. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
And then Sharon had done the dubliner.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
And that's where he got the idea because he and
Ed Sheeran here bodies. In fact, he'll talk about that
coming up later this morning in the Entertainment Report. Right
after seven o'clock.

Speaker 6 (25:29):
Rumor has it Ed was supposed to be there. There
was a little bit of a scheduling issue. Maybe I
didn't get here in time. Oh, but that was the
rumor that Ed was going to join him.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
Oh yeah, Ed Sharon was hanging out with everybody backstage.
We'll talk about this. Yeah, yeah, it was you know,
it was pure Ed Sharon Like he walked in. He's
standing side stage, Zarah Larson's going on stage, and he
ran up the stairs and on stage.

Speaker 6 (25:54):
No, he he ran by us. Yeah, this coach still on.
He had just gotten to the venue, ran on stage
just to talk to Zarah. Then he came off and
watched her performance with Miles Smith. Her entire performance, they're
laughing it up. And they did the same with Sean Paul.
Sean Paul came off and there was Ed and Sean.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
Yeah, what a what a nice guy. And Olivia Dean
was just awesome on stage and backstage, and I asked
her about her experience. Don't forget. Just recently she did
Saturday Night Live and that was the episode where Glenn
Powell was the guest host and Olivia Dean the musical guest.

Speaker 15 (26:29):
It's very surreal, I think, especially being from London SNL
and just the TV over here feels like kind of
the dream thing.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
You'd always want to do.

Speaker 15 (26:37):
So I was just sort of looking around the whole time,
being like, this is crazy that I'm actually es now.
Glenn is fantastic, and the whole crew and the team
and the way it kind of runs like an actual,
you know, live kind of show. It was just it
was a bit overwhelming. I was just happy to be
a part of it, and yeah, I was, I'm happy
with it.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
When how cool was Olivia Dean by the way, so elegant,
It's just so beautiful.

Speaker 5 (27:02):
Yeah, and she's a tiny little thing.

Speaker 4 (27:03):
Yeah yeah, sure, yeah yeah, and sweet Zarah Lawson crushed
it on stage last night. You have to understand most
of these artists are on the so called jingle Ball
or iHeart Tour, and I know that Zara Larson did
our New York show. I think it was Friday night,
but she had the thrill of a lifetime when she
was in New York because she had an experience on

(27:26):
top of the Empire State Building and she talked about it.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
I was on top of the Empire State Building.

Speaker 9 (27:31):
I got to switch to lights, so I got to
pick up what lights I wanted it to be, and
I picked yellow and pink because I feel like that
represents my album Midnight Sun.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
Sure.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
So the whole top of this iconic building lit up
in the colors.

Speaker 9 (27:46):
That I picked, and I got to go up, like up, up, up, up,
up where they don't have any sort of safety, like
like nothing, you know, it's just like view. Luckily, I'm
not scared of heights. So the only thing was that
it was very windy up there. Oh god, I can
see this beautiful pink light and just a view of

(28:07):
the city and it was really amazing and it was
thanks too to iHeart.

Speaker 4 (28:11):
Yeah, Justin and I were watching the video of her
experience on top of the Empire State Building early this morning.
Boy she can dance. Yeah, boy, this girl can dance.
And a special moment backstage Sam Whedonhoffer, Now he's the
kindness influencer and he made a young girl's wish come
true backstage with Zara Larson.

Speaker 16 (28:31):
Tonight, we made another dream come try as well. Zara
Larson for go called Mimi. She's been battling Kansas. She's
about to ring the bell in a couple of weeks,
and her literal ultimate like dream in life was to
meet Zara Larson. And she had no idea till about
four hours ago tonight.

Speaker 4 (28:48):
So it's already happened here at jingle Ball.

Speaker 16 (28:51):
Then then yeah, we're gonna go have fun tonight. And yes,
Alan to Zara Larson and every other artist at jingle.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
Wow, it should be a good night. See. That's the
thing we tried to explain to everybody the magic that
is jingle Ball. Even the artists love doing it because
they get to hang out with each other casually. Backstage.
They go from dressing room to dressing room and you know,
collaborations are born sometime at jingle Yeah, but Sam like
he's doing the Lord's work, kidding.

Speaker 6 (29:19):
You can go find his videos on TikTok and Instagram.
I mean, he's got millions of views and he's just
helping people. He's the guy that raised a million and
a half dollars for that veteran eighty eight year old
guy that was working in a grocery store that we livable.

Speaker 4 (29:33):
That was an amazing video to watch, by the way. Yeah,
so good for Sam. We'll hear more from him coming
up later this morning. Meantime, Sean Paul came back to
jingle Ball. He was at our jingle Ball three years ago.
He just loves Boston.

Speaker 16 (29:45):
It's always good to find out pope here and get
that nice guineas you know, or just like.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
Visit friends.

Speaker 9 (29:52):
You know.

Speaker 4 (29:52):
I have a couple of friends that live here. I
have actually a couple of nieces that are in school here.

Speaker 11 (29:57):
Now.

Speaker 4 (29:57):
Oh yeah, they've come to the shoulder outside so excited
to see what they think of it.

Speaker 16 (30:03):
But Yeaston has always been a great time to come
to for people, for vibes, for food for me.

Speaker 6 (30:11):
Yeah, we had a run on stage, so McCabe had
to do the interview with Sean Paul.

Speaker 4 (30:15):
Yeah, that's a duo. That's how crazy. Cave was wearing
the shiniest shoes. I think I've ever seen you as
even know how you get a shine?

Speaker 5 (30:27):
He asked about twenty times if I liked them like that?
They looked great.

Speaker 4 (30:30):
But was he in the Marines or something? Usually you
have to be in the Marines to get a shine
like that. But we, the three of us, had a
really cool moment because at the end of the night,
we got to introduce ed Sharon on stage, and then
the three of us stood there and watched Ed Sheeran
perform his magic. It was almost like the beginning of
his one Shot special that he did recently, where he

(30:53):
just starts building the song from the bottom up and
people just get on their feet and they go crazy.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
I think that was a moment for us, is watching
the crowd go crazy and the just like enjoying every
single second of Ed. That was a moment, all right,
the moment you guys have been waiting for.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
It's the number one moment, and it is of course
going to the highly anticipated Talkbacker of the Year winner.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
We had three people vying for that top slot, but
only one could take.

Speaker 5 (31:22):
It home, coming in at number three.

Speaker 6 (31:24):
Our third best talkbacker of the year, it goes to
Sarah from Maine.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
All right, Sarah, Sarah.

Speaker 6 (31:32):
She's joined our show for several years now, but this
year she took it to a new level. There was
a beauty pageant in Portland, Maine, where she lives. She
listens on the iHeart app and she went under cover
to cover the pageant. She got pictures video and gave
us a full recap.

Speaker 17 (31:46):
When Jordan went up to do her interview, they were like, oh,
how are you doing. She was like, oh hah, well,
you know, I hope that anyone out there can push
through whatever struggles are going through and embody that he
never wins. Girl, you brought it upon yourself when you're
trying to be your old boyfriend's pr person.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
But anyway, delusion also never wins.

Speaker 6 (32:12):
Congratulations Sarah Famine, thank you for joining our show.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
You are number three, right, Sarah, thank you.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
We've met. Sarah's just come to a book club. She's awesome.

Speaker 6 (32:23):
She joined our show today, very talented. She's on vacation
at home with her dog, so shout out to her.
And number two almost got the number one spot, but
they came at number two, and that would be Billy's boyfriend.

Speaker 4 (32:40):
Oh, he's only the runner up. He's the runner up
this year. Good morning, guys, especially Billy.

Speaker 18 (32:46):
I don't know what to deal with the mayor of
the South End having his panties and a bunch hit
it all weird about me.

Speaker 4 (32:51):
You better be careful though.

Speaker 18 (32:52):
If he keeps talking, I'm going to get Top Dog
to sick him.

Speaker 4 (32:55):
So un reliable.

Speaker 18 (32:56):
Oh, you guys are looking for show recommendations today, I
got one for you. It's called land Man. It's with
my other Billy crush, Billy Bob Fordon. He goes there
on the oil fields like a big boss, big hunk,
just showing everybody what to do and gets in fights,
no nonsense. Check it out, hey, guys.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
My biggest beav at the gym is.

Speaker 18 (33:15):
Those gorillas who just scream like women's tennis players every
time they pick up a weight. I'm way more into
the splendor guys like Billy.

Speaker 6 (33:24):
Hey, Oh, sorry, so he came about earlier this year.

Speaker 5 (33:31):
I believe out of nowhere. He joins every single day.

Speaker 6 (33:33):
He's a hardcore listener of the show and he has
a crush on Billy cost I mean, who doesn't.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
Is there a.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
Backstory with him that nobody knows, or I just feel
like there's something else going on.

Speaker 6 (33:45):
I don't know if I can necessarily say though, Okay,
he has some connection to someone in my life, but
it's kind of an unspoken thing.

Speaker 4 (33:53):
Oh okay, okay, But.

Speaker 6 (33:55):
You know I did send him though a autographed signed
book of your cookbook, Billy Oh, a Taste of Bosh.

Speaker 5 (34:02):
Yeah, I had.

Speaker 6 (34:02):
I had Billy sign it, and that's being shipped out
as a gift to him. Sarah for Man, I should
have mentioned this. We give a jingle ball tickets.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
You know I made it to Lisa's book club with
my cookbook. Yes you did.

Speaker 5 (34:14):
It's one of them.

Speaker 4 (34:15):
Anything to plug bas moments in my life. Yeah, you know,
it was a big year.

Speaker 9 (34:19):
It was.

Speaker 4 (34:20):
It was a big year.

Speaker 5 (34:21):
And now.

Speaker 6 (34:24):
I can't wait our Talkbacker of the Year for twenty
twenty five, who, by the way, is sitting in the studio,
Yes right now.

Speaker 5 (34:34):
Do not speak Talkbacker of the Year. It's no surprise.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
It's Kim Hey.

Speaker 11 (34:39):
If you can't find a marching band room, has it?
Billy's great at play in the skim flute and give
me practices every day for baby.

Speaker 5 (34:48):
Good morning.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
Yeah, Kim, it could have.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
Been that one over the top graduations.

Speaker 11 (34:54):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (34:54):
Yeah, great job around them approach from our live studio audience.
Yeah wow, how does it feel.

Speaker 11 (35:02):
I'm nervous and actually all my life have been told
to shut up. So this is greating we having an
award for.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Talking Yeah, this is a tremendous accomplishment. First of all,
thank you. You're a big part of the show and
winning Talkbacker of the Year. It's such an accomplishment and
a compliment to us. We really appreciate everything you've done
for the show and the fact that you're out there listening.
Why am I giving the acceptance speech.

Speaker 6 (35:26):
I don't know, you know, talking into your phone into
the iHeart app it's much different than talking into a
live microphone.

Speaker 5 (35:32):
Yeah, but you're doing great, Kim.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
Can I ask you the backstory of the talkback? Do
you write down your material and then record it?

Speaker 10 (35:41):
Now?

Speaker 11 (35:41):
I wake up six point fifteen, I start listening. I
listen to what you guys say. I go in the show,
don't picture that anybody, and I think of things that
just and as soon as I come out, I do
my recordings.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
I have to do it before work.

Speaker 11 (35:54):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, right out of the show, right out
of the show.

Speaker 6 (35:57):
Now, I do believe that the first or one of
the first times we heard Kim was when she started
talking about her feet.

Speaker 5 (36:04):
That's her feet.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
Looked like, oh, you have toes that's what you said.

Speaker 11 (36:08):
It was because Billy says he hates ugly feet and
he used to hurt my feelings all the time.

Speaker 4 (36:13):
And I said, well, I'm I'm.

Speaker 11 (36:14):
Going to call in. This is not right now.

Speaker 4 (36:16):
I have I'm not bad feet.

Speaker 11 (36:18):
Every time Billy talks about feet, I always feel badly.
I die a little bit inside. I remember years and
years ago, Billy was single. I was single at that time,
and I was like, Wow, wouldn't I love to try
to go after Billy Costa. I was great from head
to almost toe. Feet like gollum. My feet is still
like all the despite pedicuras.

Speaker 4 (36:36):
And that ended that dream. Yeah, And I want to
clear something up. I don't hate ugly feet. I fear them.
You should feel these they're bad.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
Oh really, I think it's because your mom had bad feet.

Speaker 4 (36:47):
Yeah she really did. But the jagged tone a long one.
The cuts you mentioned Bob and he's in the studio.
He's your significant other. And this was so Kim off
the air justin. I said, oh, Bob, you guys are together.
She said, well, we're not shacking up yet but living apart,
but together all the time.

Speaker 6 (37:07):
But there's a cool story there, right. You guys knew
each other in high school, reconnected.

Speaker 11 (37:11):
We reconnected on match about five years ago. I saw
his picture and I said, hey, I know that guy. Yes,
so forty four years later, here we go.

Speaker 6 (37:20):
Yeah, Kim, I'm surprised you didn't bring all of your
immediate family and extended family. Yeah, had leave talkbacks to
nominate you into the studio.

Speaker 11 (37:27):
Well, I have to thank those. My two of my
daughters called in the Christmas partty baby did not. I
don't know why. And I have to thank my coworker
is my friends for calling in.

Speaker 4 (37:37):
It was great.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
Wait, so one of your kids did not join.

Speaker 4 (37:40):
No, they won't, probably for Christmas.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
And she said, she's got to kill me.

Speaker 4 (37:44):
Yes, yeah, you want to name that one. No, I
can't do it.

Speaker 6 (37:48):
I do have a little compilation some of the Oh's
work of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 11 (37:52):
Happy third anniversary, Morning crew. I just wanted to say
I'm a lifetime listener of the morning show, and to
look back, it was like, Wow, trapped in in a negative,
controlling relationship, and I finally got out three years ago,
and your show is refreshing, it's fun, it's light. It
makes me happy. I'm not afraid to call in and

(38:13):
get annihilated. It's like being a shelter dog finally going
home to their forever home. I want to start off
by saying I hate water. You know, my doctor drink
more water, drink more water.

Speaker 2 (38:23):
I just hate it.

Speaker 11 (38:25):
My boss here drink subougius waters i've ever seen. She
spends all our money on these giant blue bottles, all
these crazy waters, their water. We have a dispenser here
that's allegedly filtered. Well, guess what I think. The pipe
leads right to the bathroom. No thanks, you know what
I say, Have a nice col glass a diet coke.

(38:45):
I went to call a patient and I opened up
the door. He was the most handsome patient we've ever had. God,
I still remember him.

Speaker 4 (38:51):
And I looked and as I was about to call
his name.

Speaker 11 (38:55):
I sneezed and simultaneously did the loudest, the sharpest fart
you've ever heard. Well, waiting and just looked at me.
I turned around, closed the door, and someone else had
to call him in.

Speaker 4 (39:09):
Wait a minute. Upon meeting Bob, you farted no, oh, okay,
off the area. Told me that you and I met
years ago at teas. Did I hit on you or
something or no?

Speaker 11 (39:21):
But you were there for a kiss event and see
it with my three girls. They was small, maybe like ten,
eight and six. And I said, you wouldn't recognize me
today because back then I had one chin and I
could tuck my shirt into my pants without looking like
I was in my third trimester.

Speaker 4 (39:34):
That is so, Kim, isn't it great? You look fabulous? Right?

Speaker 6 (39:38):
You look greatly, Kim. We do have a gift for
you which I will bring into you for you being
the top backer of the year. The gift is in
a an exclusive Lisa's Book Club bag. Lisa, this is
very special. Inside, Kim, you will find a cause sign
copy of Billy's cookbook.

Speaker 5 (39:59):
Yes, you will.

Speaker 6 (40:00):
Find some jingle ball merch nice and you will also
find a couple of restaurant gift cards. And most importantly
you look into the little side pocket from Billy Costa
walking around money.

Speaker 4 (40:13):
Yeah, Merry Christmas. More than a little walking around money.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
And it's all for you.

Speaker 11 (40:19):
My god, that's wonderful.

Speaker 4 (40:20):
Thank you so much. And you get Lisa Dunnovan.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
That's the last one.

Speaker 4 (40:26):
The tote bag.

Speaker 11 (40:26):
You had a co worker say to me, they call
these bags my grazing bigs. I know they are dead
to me raising bags.

Speaker 4 (40:34):
What is that insinuation? Lots of food. Kim is still
leaving talk backs right now.

Speaker 5 (40:41):
Kim, thank you so much.

Speaker 4 (40:42):
Thank you guys so much.

Speaker 16 (40:43):
I love you all.

Speaker 3 (40:45):
