Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, we're back. Welcome back Billy and Lisa's show here
justin Lisa Winnie, mikey Vee sitting in for Billy Costa
who's in Africa. A reminder nine to ten. Billy's gonna
call all the way from Africa hopefully and give us
the update and how the Safari's going. Lisa. We did
talk to him this morning, bright and early. He sounded clear,
He sounded clear.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
He was just very curious about what we were talking about,
what he had missed over the weekend.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
We're gonna get to that. Well. I broke the new
He knows nothing. He doesn't know the Patriots one, he
knows nothing about the Taylor Swift stuff from this weekend.
And I did break it to him yesterday over text
about the song would from Taylor and what it's about,
like the hidden meaning. And he's stuck on that. So
we're gonna have to give him the heads up. I'll
have produce a rally to please keep it clean. He
gets a little wild, but that'll happen at nine ten.

(00:44):
But right now, I do have a pair up sold
out jingle Ball tickets presented by Capitol One and starring
ed Shearon that's coming up December fourteenth at the TD Garden.
I see the phones ringing. If you want to go
call us like you're doing right now, we'll take call
her twenty five six, one seven nine three one one
one eight. We'll need a keyword, and the keyword is reading.
Because Lisa has a book club tonight at the hotel.

(01:07):
We fully sold out. Is there any shot that some
people do?

Speaker 2 (01:10):
I just posted the link, so there are a few
seats available, like a few and again. Patricia Cornwell she
sold one hundred and twenty million books. She created the
character Ka Scarpetta and who is like a medical examiner,
and Nicole Kidman will be playing Scarpetta for Amazon Prime
in twenty twenty six a series.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
This is very cool. It's going to open up a
whole new audience for her.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
I can't wait to talk to her about that tonight
and what that means, because it's been she's written well
o her two dozen Scarpetta novels. So the fact that
this is finally happening is really cool.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
So when you're doing the prep for the book clubs,
you read the book, you take notes, yep, and then
do you have like an order of questions that you
want to go and do you always go by those
and you kind of like go off of what she.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Says to Yeah, I kind of have to.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
They're like a jumping off point, but then if the
conversation goes in one direction, then I just kind of
go there and then come back.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Yeah. Around now, Mikey, do you know the history of
the book club and why she started it? Well, the
several reasons I think I have her remind me of, at
least you about Riley.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
So Riley was Okay, so it's three years ago, so
he was like twelve years old and he just wasn't reading.
And I was like, you know, you really should be
reading more. And he looks at me, he goes.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Why should I start reading? You're not reading. I don't
see you reading. So I was like, yeah, you're right,
I wasn't really reading. So that's why I started it.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
And then I saw the Beacon Hill bookstore had just opened,
and I was standing there with a friend to go in,
and there was like a line around the block and
I was like talking to some of the.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Girls in line, I'm like, what's going on.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
She's like, we saw this on TikTok and we're all here,
and I was like, Okay, I think there's something to this.
So then I came in and I talked to Billy
about it, and we invited Ben Mezick to the first
book club event. And so I focus on New England
based authors for the most part.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
There are so many and they're so amazing. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
So and then I wanted an in person event to
get people to come together and you know, and meet
other people with a shared interest.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
So that's how it started.

Speaker 6 (03:12):
I mean, live in a world now where like everything's
on your phone and all that, so people are like
craving human interaction and having something to talk about and
having like a common conversation.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
That's pretty cool. Are you created?

Speaker 2 (03:22):
And they can meet the author, Yeah, their favorite author.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Yeah, it's really cool. So Lisa Donovan one oh eight
hit her up on Instagram if you want to go
to the Revere Hotel tonight. Have fun, Lise. And by
the way, if you can't go, like me, you can
watch the live feed on the Kiss Facebook page. That's
what I usually do.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
You can that's at seven o'clock.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Seven o'clock. Let's go to Andrea and Chumpsit online three.
Good morning, Andrea, welcome to the show.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
How are we I'm good, We're very good. We want
to make you very very good. Are you calling for
the sold out jingle Ball tickets?

Speaker 5 (03:58):
Yes, I am.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
She's ready, she's anxious. I just need a keyword.

Speaker 5 (04:04):
Oh it was read book.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
It was reading and I'll take read. That's just fine.
Congratulations Andrea. We will see you December fourteenth, TD Garden
for the sold out jingle Ball starring ed Sharon. Thank
you for listening, and we'll see you at the show.

Speaker 5 (04:21):
Okay, thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
You're welcome. Oh, she was excited. Yeah, that's really cool.

Speaker 6 (04:26):
As I said earlier, listen to kiss Away between now
and December fourteen.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
No, Mikey, we don't don't need you to say it.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
We got you.

Speaker 6 (04:32):
Keep kissing it lay down from now until the fourteenth
of December. It's a good chance you get tickets.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
And there you go, there you go. Your next shot,
according to Mikey, is twelve ten with the Mighty mccave.
So I thought a I was gonna take over my job.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Now justice has clips to me, so I go home.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Now that's what I do.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
But Billy Lisa every morning.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
All right, we have to discuss this. What the hell
was going on in Boston?

Speaker 5 (04:54):
All right?

Speaker 4 (04:54):
So I had it in the news.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
So south end corner of mass Ab and Troumont Street
early Sunday morning, about one hundred people started attacking a
police cruiser with fireworks and it ended up, you know,
basically catching on fire.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
Total loss, total loss.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Two Rhode Island teens were arrested. And then a similar
incident happened same timeframe in Randolph. One hundred people crazy
attacking police cruisers. They have not made any arrests in that,
in the Randolph one, right, but there the mass Ad
one they did. All of these people were wearing masks

(05:31):
and videotaping themselves.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Good. It's going to WBZ.

Speaker 7 (05:34):
Definitely unsettling to wake up the middle of the night
and see a cop car on fire outside your window.

Speaker 8 (05:39):
These BU students took the cell phone video. They live
in the apartment above mass Ave in Tremont Street.

Speaker 9 (05:44):
I just saw the cop car on fire and then
stuff was blowing up while they were putting it out.

Speaker 8 (05:49):
Police say shortly after two am, they responded to reports
of people gathered in cars to take part in the
illegal street racing and tricks.

Speaker 10 (05:56):
As officers approached the scene, they were met by a group,
a pretty large group, over one hundred people, and some
of the individuals in the group started to throw cones, holes,
and other objects at the officers in the vehicle.

Speaker 6 (06:09):
Oh that's good, that's wild. And my sister the police officer,
and so always my cousin. It's just like you can
be mad about what one officer might have done at
some point and whatever, but like these people dedicate their lives.
It's keeping our community safe and they have they have siblings,
they have husbands or wives or kids, and just like
crazy that people would just attack like that.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Well, it's one thing to do a meetup. They have
these meetups where they do like you know, street racing,
which is illegal, drag racing whatever, they do, show off
their cars and stuff. But as soon as police arrived,
they just started attacking. That's like, what are we doing?

Speaker 11 (06:41):
But Alisa's point seems very planned. It was at the
same time in both in both towns. In town, but
the one ran off. It's like two miles from my house.
It's a huge intersection. What they're talking about.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Where were you when all this time I was sleeping?

Speaker 11 (06:54):
I was a sleeper, but yeah, confirmed, Yes, I guess
my boyfriend really the witness. But there is a huge
intersection if you know, the areas like Sunnyside Cafe and
like Dairy Barn. And either way, if they were to disperse,
they had like five different main streets they could have
gone down. So they clearly wanted the confrontation because it

(07:15):
was easy to get away, Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 8 (07:17):
And they were looking for Winning and Randolph. A similar
incident took place early Sunday morning. Police say around one
thirty cars blocked off an intersection on North Main Street
and a crowd of out of control people jumped on
the hood of a cruiser and again throwing fireworks. Right now,
it's unclear if this is the same group of vandals.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Outside individuals who came into our city to cause disorder
and brought dangerous illegal behavior here will be prosecuted.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Yeah, as the marewell that's dangerous. Yeah, it's very dangerous.
I just love how Winnie's description of any place is
is dictated by restaurants.

Speaker 11 (07:53):
It's the easiest landmark if you have a landmarks to
use because a lot of people frequent them, so they
might not know the street name but they know where
that restaurant is.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Yeah, and that's a big charge you don't want for
those two people that were arrested. You know, destruction, not
just destruction of property. They completely destroyed this police cruise.

Speaker 11 (08:10):
And they're from Rhode Island, Like, go back to Rhode Island,
you know, even from Boston.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Yeah, I know, you know a book club member from
Rhode Island. Her name is Lynn. I'm looking at a
talk back from her right now, right when you said
Rhode Island. That's why it's kind of funny she can't
make the book club tonight. Leaving the top. Yeah, I
watched the videos on this of the destruction. It's just
really scary. But like Mikey said, you know what I mean,
it's like I don't know if they like out to

(08:37):
get police. But still like these people are just they
just showed up and they were getting shot at with fireworks.

Speaker 11 (08:42):
But doesn't seem like they're teenagers. Not that it's okay
if their teenagers, they.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
Arrested to they were young, so they were younger, Yeah,
but I.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Don't know, they could have went like like two miles
up the road and could have got's house forbid.

Speaker 7 (08:55):
When from the Planet Fitness Kiss one of eight studios.
We're back with Billy and Lisa.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
In the morning.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
Yeah, we're back. Good morning everybody. It is a Monday morning,
October sixth, The Billy and Lisa Show is on. The
weather is beautiful, beautiful weekend amazing. Yeah, we had a
very busy weekend all of us. A lot happened this weekend.
We're going to cover a lot of it in the
Entertainment Report in a couple of minutes.

Speaker 12 (09:17):
But I went to see Mariene Hancock last night at
Blue Ocean Music Hall in Salisbury and she was amazing.
Two things I didn't realize about her. She is really
funny and she has a tremendous potty mouth, so well
worth it. So if you have never seen her in
an actual show, I would highly recommend it.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Yeah, Mariene Hancock our favorite medium. Who by the way,
we've had on in October for Halloween the last couple
of years.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
Well we need to do that again, right yeah, right now.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Yeah, So, Mikey, if you're not familiar, Marine Hancock is
a medium and she does live readings on the air. Yeah,
it's crazy, like crazy, I've heard it before. When you
guys do it. I'm actually kind of I'm into the
media and things, especially my dad has passed, so yeah,
that's been a powerful thing. Yeah, I get chills every
time she's she's brought up. But in a couple of
minutes ago, we were talking about the drag racing arrests,

(10:10):
the arrest and burning the police cars in Boston. The
hell's going on there?

Speaker 13 (10:15):
Hi, it's the mayor of the South End. There's no
drag racing in the South End. The only drag racing
is at Club Cafe. So everybody'd be safe and leave
those cops alone.

Speaker 7 (10:27):
Now, the entertainment updates with the Billy codstuff, Yeah, you.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Got got it.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
He was trying.

Speaker 6 (10:34):
He was trying to get me to go Club Cafe
five and there was a little drag show there performing
a club Cafe. Afterwards, they were, oh, yeah he was down.
Now he's a VIP at Club Cafe.

Speaker 14 (10:45):
He is the.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Years at the Taylor Swift event the Liberty.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
Yeah, I know, and we still did not take a picture.
What the hell?

Speaker 14 (10:52):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
It's like he has a force field around him, and
I forgot I always take pictures. Yeah, yeah, that was right.
It is so weird. All right, Well, Taylor took the weekend.
That's what you need to know.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
So she her album came out on Friday, we played it.
She also topped the weekend box office with her sing
along of the Showgirl release thirty three million dollars number one.
Number two came in a distant second the Smashing Machine
at six million, and Justin actually went to see that.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
Yeah, it was a great performance from the rock I
just the story kind of fell flat for me. I'm
gonna say six out of ten. Okay, well the story.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Taylor's album was number one two most streamed album in
a single day. Twenty twenty five, she announced four new
versions of the album. There's one song on the album.
It's called Wood. It actually is my favorite song on
the album. But Swifties are like going crazy because they
think that Taylor is actually talking about Travis's manhood.

Speaker 11 (11:54):
Imagine being like Donna Kelce, like Travis's mom, and like
going it because I think she went to one of
the showings of the of the movie or thinking along
and like that song comes on. You know, at the
very least she's talking about your your son and.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
What's in that moment.

Speaker 11 (12:12):
I think it's just very odd as a mother to
learn the information about your child.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Sure she probably already knows.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
It's one thing that a mom would know.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Yeah, she was there, so there, you know how Like
the Swifties love the little Easter eggs, So one of
them is what is two minutes and thirty seconds long?
And that's two hundred and thirty millimires equals nine inches.
And then also it's song number nine on the album.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Wait, hold on what number? What? What?

Speaker 4 (12:39):
Track number nine?

Speaker 8 (12:41):
Was Kelsey track norumber nine with Wood I gotta tell you,
I'd be tracked twelve.

Speaker 14 (12:46):
I'm just saying, okay, okay, perspect A lot of other
stuff happened with this new album, The Life of a
show Girl.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Some people are saying that the title track with Sabrina
Carpenter is a Jonas Brothers song.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
Cool, it's so similar.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
It's what Taylor is known for giving credit where credits due.
She she has credited people. I'm not sure credited them.

Speaker 11 (13:11):
I'm gonna look, I don't think she did, because everyone's
asking online like, oh, did they get credit?

Speaker 15 (13:15):
I don't think they did.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
I have seen it.

Speaker 15 (13:17):
I haven't seen it.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
Well.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
One person that got some credit was fifty cent she
gave him a shout out in one of.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Hers He loves this.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
He was posting about it all weekend. All he was
posting about was Diddy and Taylor Swift.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
He had a big weekend for him, his marketing schemes.
Market they're all coming together.

Speaker 11 (13:38):
Think that you're like, you know, romantically kissing to a
fifty cent song. It's like in the club, I mean
candy chops.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
Or twenty one questions.

Speaker 11 (13:47):
Yeah, none of those are like romantic. I'm not looking
about making out to in the club.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
Right, I don't know that's really funny.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
Well, also this weekend, bad and He hosted SNL and
he had a pretty interesting monologue.

Speaker 16 (14:03):
But really, I'm very excited to be doing the super Bowl,
and I know that people all around the world who
love my music are also happy. Latino, la Latina and yaqui.
And if you didn't understand what I just said, I

(14:31):
think you have four months to learn.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
I'm excited translated that I don't know, we need to
ask like DJ.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Well, I cut it because it was actually much longer
for time sake, So if you speak Spanish, it probably
didn't make sense.

Speaker 6 (14:44):
Okaycause they said something about all latinas we've worked very
hard for this.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Yeah, I heard travel home. I know that's hard to work.

Speaker 15 (14:51):
Here, you two trying to translate it.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Keep going, let's get billy.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Oh well, if you missed it did He got four
years on Friday, And this is his lawyer talking about it.

Speaker 6 (15:06):
There is a human being now in custody for fifty
months based upon.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
Conduct.

Speaker 6 (15:15):
The jury heard, the jury resolved, and the jury rejected.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
It is really a sad day for everybody.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
So I had predicted time served or three to four years.
He ended up getting that. But when I was watching
or waiting for the verdict on Friday, I was kind
of following along. There's no cameras in federal court, so
you're kind of getting reports on what's happening. And I
still believe it was going to be time served. And
then the prosecution stood up with proof that he had
booked a speaking engagement in Miami next week, and I

(15:45):
thought to myself, he's going to do sometime. I don't
know if the judge changed his sentencing then, but what
an idiot?

Speaker 3 (15:51):
Ye can that backfar?

Speaker 9 (15:52):
That?

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Can Can they change a decision that quickly?

Speaker 1 (15:54):
I'm not sure. I mean, it's the judge, the judge
can make whatever decision he wants, so.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
He just looks like an idiot.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
It is.

Speaker 15 (16:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (16:01):
Also, one thing that I didn't fully realize that he
mentioned it earlier this morning is although he got four years,
he subtracted time that he's already been in jail.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Yeah, another two and a half years about that. Yeah,
he's been in fourteen months, so you can expect them.
But there's other ways he can get out quicker too,
the programs he can do, so we might actually see
Diddy a little bit sooner.

Speaker 15 (16:19):
Oh god, I can't. He has a career after this.
There's something wrong with America. Well there's many things wrong,
but anyway.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Yeah, there'll be people supporting him, Oh for sure.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
This is a really funny story. So Matt, you know,
Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel have this like funny rivalry,
like they rib each other. So Matt Damon surprised Jimmy
on his show on.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
FREEK been at this for a long time, I mean together,
I mean almost together for like twenty three years.

Speaker 4 (16:46):
I just want to say goodbye. Wait, this isn't my
last show ever.

Speaker 5 (16:53):
It isn't.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
No, we have a show Monday.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
This is but the President canceled you, which I was
a big fan of, by the way. I mean when
he said you had like zero ratings and no talent,
I was like, I've been saying that for years.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
We didn't get canceled.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
We were off the air for three nights. You serious?

Speaker 5 (17:15):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (17:17):
Is there like some kind of appeals.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
Process that sucks?

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Nice language in low life?

Speaker 3 (17:26):
You kiss your mother with that mouth?

Speaker 1 (17:28):
No, I kiss your mother.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
With your.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
I just love that Damon so much.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
He showed up in like this furry costume, and so
that's why Jimmy didn't know who it was at first.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
It was really funny.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
I just got worried that Matt Damon will be in
Boston today today doing what he's doing, an event with
Mingsai Boston Hotels to raise money for charity. It's not
open to the public. I don't believe our guy Ming
Ming Sai. This is like a billy. Oh my god,
I can't wait to tell him this Ming Si, Joanne Chang,
Okay Bill, A bunch of chefs there. Yeah, so they're

(18:02):
trying to raise money for cancer.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
Oh oh well, okay.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Sabrina Carpenter performed at the Austin City Limits festival and
she actually sang with Shania Twain.

Speaker 15 (18:18):
And I sounds good.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
She does.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
She looks good too.

Speaker 16 (18:21):
Well.

Speaker 15 (18:21):
Worried for a second when she went on tour like
last year.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
Yeah she was like a little loopy. Yeah, she wasn't
making any sense, all right.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Joe Keery from Stranger Things, who is from this area.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
He also joined Sabrina on stage.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
You know, Joe, it's it's actually cuffing season.

Speaker 15 (18:38):
I don't know if you know that. It's like we're getting.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
I was wondering if you you seem very He grew
absolutely because it is so rare. Okay, you're the one.

Speaker 15 (18:50):
We did it, Joe.

Speaker 5 (18:51):
Mm.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
Yeah, she put handcuffs on him.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
He had a couple of songs and we played for
a while too.

Speaker 17 (18:56):
Actually, and when beckon, yeah, it was like dojo right
or do yeah?

Speaker 1 (19:10):
They did it?

Speaker 5 (19:10):
We did it.

Speaker 15 (19:11):
We did it, Joe.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
And you know what else is really cool? I have
Patricia Cornwell at my book club tonight. She wrote Scarpetta,
that series that's been picked up by Amazon Prime. Nicole
Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis our executive producing the project,
and Nicole Kidman plays Scarpetta. So we will be talking
about that and so much more tonight at the Reviewer
Hotels starting at sex. If you want to go, there

(19:36):
are a few tickets left. Just go to my Instagram
Lisa donov In one O eight and click the link
and I'll see you tonight. And if not, you can
watch the stream at seven on kis Facebook page.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
That's what I usually do.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
Yeah, it's great, and I have to say like this,
the fact that Amazon is doing the series, it's two parts.

Hey, good morning, everybody. Welcome back Billy and Lisa Show.
Justin Lisa, Winnie, Mikey V and for Billy Costa. There's
a lot going on on this Monday. First of all,
the weather is beautiful, Lisa. Eighty degrees again today and tomorrow.
Oh my god, that's gonna cool down.

Speaker 5 (21:20):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
Yeah. The Patriots beat the Bills last night. They pretty
much won the Super Bowl. It felt like, if you
believe the Internet, the Pats are back. So that's cool.
And the jingle Ball sold out on Friday. No more
tickets left to buy. Only to win with us on Kiss.
Want to wait twelve ten is your next shot? But
right now let's head across the globe to Africa. Will

(21:43):
we find Uncle Bill Billy there?

Speaker 5 (21:47):
Yes, I swear there was much of been a problem
with the connection here in the bush. But did you
say the Patriots beat the Bills?

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Dude? They beat the Bills?

Speaker 5 (21:57):
Wow? Yeah, big story.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
I stayed up for the whole game. I'm so tired.
It was amazing.

Speaker 5 (22:03):
Wow. Did I hear Mikey Mikey V's voice in the background.

Speaker 6 (22:06):
I'm here and Billy, you being in Africa might be
good luck for the Patriots.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
You might have to stay now.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Oh, he is a bad luck turn.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
Out of the country.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
You hear that? So what's up, dude?

Speaker 5 (22:18):
So how you doing? Honey?

Speaker 4 (22:19):
We're good. I'm filling in. I'm trying my best.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
So doing great.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
You missed a big weekend with Taylor Swift and the
new album and the movie and the parties.

Speaker 5 (22:28):
Yeah. In fact, I know I'm here to talk about Africa,
and I will, But can we talk about what happened
with the Taylor thing over the weekend? How to go?

Speaker 6 (22:36):
The party was awesome? We were talking earlier. Curious if
you were here, would you have been at the party?

Speaker 5 (22:43):
Definitely? Are you kidding me? With you and lie, said Donovan,
and maybe we would have had a ball.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
You're the biggest liar, you lie.

Speaker 15 (22:52):
Stop lying.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
The mayor of the South End was there, Billy.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
Yeah, the Mayor of the South End showed up.

Speaker 7 (22:59):
No.

Speaker 5 (23:00):
I have to know. I heard a rumor that one
of the songs in the Taylor album talks about Travis's manhood.
Is that true?

Speaker 4 (23:10):
It does? It's my and you know, Billy, it's my
favorite song on the album.

Speaker 5 (23:14):
Of course it is.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
Yeah, It's called Wood and it definitely is.

Speaker 4 (23:18):
It's so like Dancy and Fine. I love it.

Speaker 5 (23:22):
So it's it's Travis now the new Bde.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Yeah, pretty much.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Yeah, Billy. His birthday was yesterday and his social media
was flooded with comments from women just gushing over the song.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
And there are so many memes about it over the weekend.

Speaker 5 (23:38):
Well that's why we call it Bde. Yeah. So I
need to tell you this journey is really remarkable. You
have to understand. We flew from Boston to London, and
then London to Johannesburg, and then from Johannesburg to Harare, which,
by the way, is not only the capital of Zimbabwe,
but it's all So do you remember several weeks ago

(23:59):
we talked about that horrific fire at an elephant sanctuary
in Africa. Yes, well we went to the actual place
and spent a lot of time there and uh, and
they were shouting out our listeners for their donations because
they told me our donations from our listeners really helped
to provide the food that will probably likely get them

(24:22):
through the drought in Africa.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
Yeah, yeah, we had her on Roxy right.

Speaker 5 (24:29):
Yeah, Rocky is such a special lady. What an incredible story.
But I have to tell you, so we were there
at the headquarters, so we're meeting all of these I
basically had a two night sleepover with elephants, up in
the morning with them. We had breakfast together, we had

(24:49):
lunch together, we put them to bed. Uh. It really
is an experience.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Now, Mikey, Mikey, this is this is Billy Costa we're
talking about. I know you grew up in Boston. Yeah,
listening to this radio station as this is Billy Costa talking.

Speaker 5 (25:06):
Yeah, you weren't expected of me, would you, helen Ya?
It is insane. Well, you know what, We've talked a
lot about the expedition we come here with, and that's
Danaw and Emma who have Apples Expedition. They're the reason
we're here. I've got Danew sitting next to me. So
then now the headquarters at aurare as well as the
one here in Victoria. Are we in Victoria Falls. We

(25:29):
are very close to Victoria Falls.

Speaker 18 (25:31):
We're in a place called Pandamasui Forest Reserve and this
is the release site for Zimbabwe Elephant or three wild
is Life. It is why they release the elephants part
of their rescue, rehabilitation and release program, getting these elephants
back into the wild where they belong.

Speaker 5 (25:46):
Yeah, and you guys, you really have to live it
and experience it to believe it. It's like you see
the baby elephants, some of whom were abandoned in a while,
not by their mom or whatever. Their mom may have
been taken or injured or approached, and they don't have
anywhere to go, and they haven't even learned yet how
to survive in the wild. So when you're here, you
actually see how they're being taught and in some cases

(26:09):
a lot of cases by humans by the team here
at the headquarters. And how to eat, how to forge
for food, how to find food, how to survive in
the wild so that they can then be released back
into the wild and join the hurd. So it's a
remarkable experience and an amazing thing to live down here
in Africa. So who's coming to Africa next?

Speaker 15 (26:29):
Are you putting a bill.

Speaker 18 (26:34):
Of right away?

Speaker 15 (26:35):
You go?

Speaker 1 (26:46):
Let me ask you this, right So, I think I
would guess that one of the most special moments of
being on this trip with Michelle, your wife, and this
was her dream to go to Africa, is not just
enjoying it for yourself, but also seeing her reaction and
what doing.

Speaker 5 (27:00):
For her right Oh, I mean, you can't even imagine
when you look into her face and she cries an
awful lot. She has emotions over workers down here. I
mean yesterday we were when we were in the Harari
and you have to understand, we're sitting on the back
porch of a home in the center of this facility,
and we're having cocktails and glasses of wine. In the backyard.

(27:24):
It's just filled with like giraffe and Debra and decock
and just wild animals just roaming around living their best
life because they've been rescued. And Michelle I got a
video I think I posted it of Michelle literally standing
with the several giraffe feeding them, and she could not

(27:45):
believe what she was doing. It was incredibly emotional.

Speaker 4 (27:49):
Wow, wow, that's amazing. So what time is it right
there right now?

Speaker 5 (27:54):
Well, we're six hours ahead or three twenty Okay, So
what's on the agenda for the rest of tonight. Uh,
we're going to head out back into the bush right
now and now tomorrow morning. We tomorrow morning we start
going deeper into the bush where we went last year.
It's called the hide in Zimbabwe, and we'll be we'll

(28:17):
be staying in the treehouse.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
I was going to ask that you have to send pictures.

Speaker 5 (28:22):
Remember I was almost killed by.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
A black Yeah, that's when you left your wife Michelle
behind and ran away for your own life.

Speaker 5 (28:30):
I actually hid behind the tree and she's like, where
did you go? I'm sorry, it just happened to be
my first reaction. Run. You know what they say, You
only have to outrun the person with you.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Wait, so when is the treehouse love fest?

Speaker 5 (28:46):
When?

Speaker 1 (28:46):
What night is that?

Speaker 5 (28:48):
I'm not sure which night we've got the treehouse, but
I guess it's a surprise. We do have the treehouse again,
and I'm telling you. I can't wait, and it's going
to be sensational. And I'll give you guys a call,
same time, same place tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
Okay, Well, thank you for checking in. What we're doing
just fine. We're holding down the ship without you. Nothing
too crazy.

Speaker 5 (29:09):
Yeah, all right, and Winny, I'll tell you what before
I say goodbye, if you really want to come to Africa,
if you promise you won't come back.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
Okay, Kiss, it's time for talkback.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
Leftovers, the ones that were left behind. Shout out to
everybody who joins our show. You can always check in.
Leave us a message that's called a talkback on the
iHeartRadio app, which is free to download. Free to leave
a talk back, just pull us up Kiss. When away,
tap the little microphone and check in from anywhere in
the world. How cool is that?

Speaker 4 (29:39):
Good morning crew, Just calling in from Belgium.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
Love listening to you no matter where I am.

Speaker 7 (29:47):
Have a great day.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
Thank you so much Belgium. Vio me this morning. Very cool.
Thank you.

Speaker 19 (29:52):
You know what I've been saying all weekend to the
middle aged man slash our boyfriends, others, uncles, talking about
Taylor Swift and this and that and how the album
is not great, just one sentence.

Speaker 15 (30:10):
Haters gonna hate, Yeah, not me.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
I was listening to the Taylor album and it's actually
a pretty good I do like the songs. They're they're catchy.
I know some people like don't like the album, but
I do. I was listening to it while doing cardio.
I was like boping my head. I'm like, well, this is
pretty good.

Speaker 19 (30:32):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (30:32):
I was listening to it all weekend.

Speaker 6 (30:33):
Yeah, and I brings it behind the curtain a little
bit on her like personal life that everybody's talking about anyways.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
He kind of can listen to the peak of her life.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
She's just a mastery at creating like a pop record,
all types of records, but this is a pop album
obviously produced by Max Martin, and I'm just listening to it.
It's just like perfectly crafted. You know, you can put
it on, you can send the songs you can dance to,
and some do cardio to.

Speaker 5 (30:53):
Like me.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
I'm just saying, Hey, Justin and Morning Crue. This is
Steve from Vermont. I have a question for Justin.

Speaker 5 (31:00):
I'm really interested in knowing, given your experience living on
the street, what would you tell a newly homeless person.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Like, what are the three most important mess.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
You've learned from being homeless?

Speaker 1 (31:12):
What would you tell them?

Speaker 5 (31:13):
I'm really interested in hearing more about your experience living
on the street.

Speaker 1 (31:17):
Thanks everybody, you're all great. Yeah, that's quite the question there, Steve.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
Were you actually homeless almost at one point?

Speaker 11 (31:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 15 (31:25):
Legit on like the park bench.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Yeah, I mean I had some low points in my life.
Obviously through addiction, I was able to get out of
that life. But yeah, the three most important lessons, I
guess the one lesson that I can share is that
I learned what not mistakes not to make again to
be homeless again, because every mistake that I made, you know,

(31:48):
led me to down that path to be in that position,
you know. And it's sad because you know, if you
drive down Mass and Casts or anywhere in Boston, we
all drive through them, and you see people that are
homeless and struggling. You know, they don't want to be homeless,
you know, they're just stuck in that position.

Speaker 6 (32:03):
And a question I've always had and I'll ask it
to you, but like I always feel so bad and
they be like how do.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
They get to this point? And all that, and they always.

Speaker 6 (32:09):
Are asking for money or a dollar change, do you
give money or is that kind of enabling?

Speaker 1 (32:16):
It's a great question. I do. I do give money.
I have been known to give out recovery pamphlets.

Speaker 6 (32:22):
It was food, I'd rather go buy them like a
sandwich or something like that.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
Yeah, when he knows the story, yeah, well.

Speaker 15 (32:28):
It happened to me too.

Speaker 11 (32:29):
But Justin will tell you that someone gave him try
to give him food and he was pissed. The same
thing happened. I was getting food out and they were like,
I don't want this when they asked me food.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
I was standing outside of a pizza place I won't
name it in Boston, asking for money for food, but
it was really for other things. And this guy came
and I asked him for money and he said no
when he walked him to the pizza place, and then
he walked back out with a small pizza box and
he goes, hey, man, I bought you this pizza. And
I looked at him and I go, I want that.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
Kids wun away into the morning. Wrap up on Billy
and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 1 (32:59):

Speaker 6 (33:49):

her crazy dms.

Speaker 4 (33:52):

pumpkin picking, all that good stuff, you know, the fair season.

Speaker 9 (34:11):
I went to top Field very yesterday Sunday. I think
it's open all this whole week till maybe Sunday, maybe Friday,
I don't know, but I went had a great time.
I had a chowder bread bowl there. It was delicious.
Oh my god, it was so good. I didn't want
to have that for a while. It was not such
a good idea to eat that yesterday and.

Speaker 5 (34:27):
Such a hot day.

Speaker 9 (34:28):
I also did burn my mouth, but.

Speaker 5 (34:30):
It was so good.

Speaker 9 (34:31):
They always have great food at the fair.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
Oh yeah, I'll be at Topsfield this weekend at the
WHOOPI Wagon.

Speaker 15 (34:36):
Do you want some recommendations?

Speaker 5 (34:38):
No?

Speaker 1 (34:38):
No, no, I'm well versed in the tops Field.

Speaker 3 (34:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
First off is always the Whoopy Wagon.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
Are you gonna your wife's stay at home now? And
you got the kids? I know.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
I did mention that she went to too. She'll want
to go to the top Field fairy, but I need
to do something nice for her. We talked about it
on the show. I sent her to two different fall
excursions and stayed at home. Yeah, she wasn't happy about that.
So Billy Costa checked in from af He's on a
safari with his wife, Michelle Off all week, can be
back next week. Mikey is filling in. That's why you
hear Mikey's voice. But imagine the time Bill's happened.

Speaker 5 (35:08):
I basically had a two night sweepover with elephants. We
had breakfast together, we had lunch together, we put them
to bed. It really is an experience.

Speaker 4 (35:20):
He's such a softy now. Yeah, he really is with
the elephants.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
So he'll be checking in every morning at nine to
ten as he goes through the excursion. So have fun, Bill.
And finally we talked all about these weird one hundred
people things going on in Boston. They're burning cop cars.
It happened on mass Ave, mass Ave and Tremont. Yeah,
and then it happened also in Randolph, where Winnie lives.

Speaker 4 (35:44):
Hey, Winnie, I was looking up.

Speaker 13 (35:46):
I saw it on TikTok The Easiest cities to get
a prostitute and Randall was number three.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
