Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now best morning show in Boston.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Billy and Lisa in the morning. It's just a great
start to my day on Kiss Runaway.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
Well, good morning everybody, and welcome into the Billy and
Lisa Morning Show. Today is Tuesday, and it is August
twenty sixth, and more importantly, Lisa Dunnovan, today is National
Dog Day.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
It is. It is very exciting. We love our dogs.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Yep, not just that.
Speaker 4 (00:27):
Good morning, it's the Mayor of the South. Then this
message is for Lisa and Winnie. I want to wish
some happy National Women's Equality Day. Why is it today
because in nineteen twenty the Nineteenth Amendment was adopted giving
women the right to vote. And it's also National Dog Day.
(00:48):
So be kind to your dog and get to an
animal charity.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Well, fool, this is a big day.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Oh you fool. Yep, you get home. You gotta do
something special for Ruby.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
I will absolutely gotta be.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
Nice to Coda and for yourselves.
Speaker 5 (01:02):
Yeah, we're equal at least well.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Women, that's all started right there. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Oh god, Oh Man is a good boy.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
He's such a good boy.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
He sat on Billy's boat. He sat on my chest
for like an hour. No nipping.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
That's good.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
He was just he aod.
Speaker 6 (01:27):
We need to have Ruby and Titus meet anytime, and Coda,
let's have a dog.
Speaker 5 (01:33):
I'm sorry, I'm not pritting Coda anywhere near your dog.
I'm sorry, I'm not.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
Titus has calm way down, Okay, be nice.
Speaker 5 (01:39):
Saw he like knipped my face and you're, oh, it's
a love bite.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Well, you know what I always say about Titus. He
follows the test, right, Yeah, I'm full of it.
Speaker 5 (01:49):
And then we have video evidence of him in the
studio humping me for like two minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
That's so wrong. You know, if I would think back,
it was around that time you could use.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
A little she was in between, if you know what
I mean.
Speaker 6 (02:04):
Oh my god, this is great. So I'm gonna you know,
I'm gonna. I'm gonna go to Chewi dot com. I'm
going to order a special little tour there for this
special and you know what, I'm going to order one
for Coda, order one for Titus.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
I think everybody should go shopping at Chewi dot com
to come on, do something nice, get something big.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
You know what's crazy about Chewie. In my neighborhood, every
every day I feel like I drive down my street.
In every house has a Chewi box. Oh yeah, on.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
The poor multiple My building a multiple Chewie boxes because
for cats too. Yeah, well a lot.
Speaker 6 (02:36):
Of animal birds, rabbits, I mean they do horses.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
I think.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
I think my wife orders from Chewi for.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Actually a lot of animals.
Speaker 5 (02:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
There was a an incident with Titus the Wonder Dog
last night, and justin you can appreciate this because it
happened to you on the boat once. Remember when you
ran down the stairs and slammed face first into the
lighting glass doors. I remember Titus did last night. Oh yeah,
I got scared on the back. Yeah he was. Michelle
(03:09):
was coming home from dance at the Anchor and Charles
Sousa dancing, and so he gets all excited, so he
ran out, Oh Mama's coming home. He ran out to
greet Michelle at the back of the boat, and then
was so excited he came charging back in. But the
door was almost completely closed. When I tell you, he
hit that door like a stone. Yeah, okay, knocked him
(03:31):
right down. There's another thing that has to do with that, Lisa.
So when we talk about Bill being Bill weird, right,
we're not joking. Okay, So I'll give you one example.
We went to Peetown on the boat. It took about
two hours to get there, which is about two two
and a half hours normal. So we dock in Peetown,
I've never been. We dock, we get off. We said
(03:53):
hi to the marina people. I'm starving. Okay.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Now everyone's like, oh, we should get some lunch. Lunch
wasn't on Bill's schedule. The first thing he did upon docking, Lisa,
can you guess what it was?
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Washed the boat.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
He hose down the boatses hooking it up. I'm like
looking at him. Stop, my stomach is rumbling.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Yeah. I had to break out the hoses. I broke
out three different hods, and I said, okay, let's go.
Speaker 6 (04:20):
When you travel with Bill, you have to eat before
you go to meet him, and then you have to
pack snacks.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Yes, yeah, hose down the boat.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
So Titus, I kept waking him up in the night
for fear he might have a concussion. That's how hard
he hit that door. Yeah, it knocked him right down. Wow.
And he goes to that door all the time. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
But it was dark out yeah, so clean.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Yeah, by the way, I had just cleaned it an
hour earlier. By the way, if you're looking to clean
your windows, I've tried every product you got to get.
It's in a light blue and white can, a tall
can called spray Away. Way better than wind deck. I mean,
doesn't streak. Spray away a good paper towel like a bounty.
Speaker 6 (05:05):
Okay, okay, guys, I'm gonna rush out and get this.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
What you're worried about our topics? We had no music
all night long, and we're gonna worry about what we
talked about. We're starting over. We started the show without.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
I'm sleeping, could go there with that topic.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
Yeah, there was some glitches going on here, but all
these things happen. We're back on track now, we're doing
good and we're talking about cleaning windows.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
What else you want?
Speaker 7 (05:36):
The Candid Microphone, the program that brings you the honest
reactions of ordinary people, the secretly recorded no one ever
knows when he's talking into the Candid microphone.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Oh, window cleaning. We need a window cleaning, but they
have to get up to the sixth floor. Somebody plunged
his head first into the cement cleaning my windows. That's
a good story. Damn clean the wind. You lose somebody
in the process. That's life. You chose window cleaning. I
didn't notice what I'm doing. I'm standing at a microphone.
Couldn't be safe, but Ken did microphone. You're a monso
(06:13):
okay from.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
The Planet Fitness Kids One Away Studios. We're back with
Billy and Lisa in the morning on Hit.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Yeah, we're back. It's a Tuesday. It's National Dog Day.
We're feeling a little giddy today. And by the way,
it's also take Tuesday. This is a big deal. So
Tate mccray's got her two shows tonight and tomorrow night
in the TD Garden. She's here a lot.
Speaker 8 (06:35):
She is.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
She loves Boston.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Yeah, and we're enjoying it. You know why. We're giving
away tickets, last minute tickets all day today starting at
A ten and nine ten.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
And all you have to be is callar twenty five, right.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Billy, I think so right, Winnie, Yeah, okay on the
line and get confirmation. Very simple.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
Yeah, and we want you in the show. We want
you in the garden. Yeah, easy enough.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
If you're a tape fan, call her twenty five.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
So we're celebrating tape. She could be listening right now.
I mean, she did our jingle Ball this past December.
She loves kiss Anyway, her first song You Broke Me
first put her on the map, So during the pandemic,
she recorded it actually in her bedroom.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Yeah, I still remember when the song came out. They
were like, there's this new artist. She's a dancer. She
started making YouTube videos when she was like eight or
nine years old, and there's this song and then it's
just exploded.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
And then we did an event with her at the
Verb Hotel. Well there was Dad Barney, which was amazing,
and that.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
Was right on the heels we were literally coming out
of the pandemic. It was her first public appearance. Yeah,
it's a bull party that we hosted in Boston the
beautiful Verb Hotel, and she talked about blowing up from
her bedroom during the pandemic.
Speaker 9 (07:52):
It was really interesting because you know, I was being
told that my song was like being played on the radio,
and like, was you know, doing well? And I just
honestly had no idea because I was in my room
for like literally two years straight, like writing on my bed,
and I genuinely because I was in Canada and we
were in like full lockdown, like I wasn't even seeing
(08:13):
any of my friends, Like it was so so lonely.
But then you know, obviously, when I came to LA
and I was like able to perform for the first time,
it was like the biggest shock of my life when
people like knew my songs.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
It was really cool.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Yeah, if you thought you were feeling locked down in
Boston and here in Massachusetts, Canada was really locked down.
And she's got a couple of connections to the area.
Her brother went to school near Boston in Hanover.
Speaker 9 (08:37):
My brother goes to Dartmouth to school, and it's in
a place called Hanover near Boston, and this is weird.
There's literally two hotels there and I go. We were
like staying there with my family and it was like
New Year's with my mom and dad. And I literally
wake up in the middle of the night screaming because
I always wake up screaming like I'm like a I'm
like possessed in my and my dad was like, oh
(08:59):
my god, hey, like what's what's going on. He's I
just going to sleep, go to sleep, And I'm like, no, no,
he's right there.
Speaker 10 (09:03):
Boo.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
I love that her brother went to Dartmouth.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
My yead is that anywhere near where you guys live
in Salem, New Hampshire, You and Riley.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
I think it's like an hour. I think Riley said
it's an hour from us, so two hours.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Yeah, it's a beautiful town.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Yeah for you.
Speaker 5 (09:18):
Let her know there's hand over New Hampshire than Hammers Hampshire.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
And she mentions Boston in her song Revolving Door.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Nice good night out in Boston.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Yeah, a lot of connections here in the city, as
she headlined our jingle Ball this past December and actually
talked about coming back to Boston for these shows this
week here she.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Is Kitty Garden.
Speaker 9 (09:40):
I've been dreaming about my whole life just to play
a headline show there.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
So it's definitely a bucket list. I'm so excited.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
I gotta be honest with you. I've been out there
a couple of times. Into the crowd. Yeah, I don't
want to say it too loud. This is a tap
great crowd tonight, really, no, No, they are loving you
in this building tonight.
Speaker 7 (09:57):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
I love Boston.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
It's always the best.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Yeah. It's so cool seeing her from the beginning and
then watching her career just grow and grow and grow,
and then eventually Yeah, she headlined jingle Ball last year.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
And you watch the production levels of her concerts grow
and grow and grow. Have you been watching some of
the video? Oh insane?
Speaker 3 (10:15):
Oh yeah, there was one recently where she lost her
boot while dancing and she she's kicked off the other
boot and just danced barefoot.
Speaker 6 (10:22):
Yeah, she's a good dancer. I wish I could have
some of the Tate moves.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
She's got some moves. She's got some good dancers around
here too. Yeah. Her latest song, just keep Watching, is
from the F one movie. Well, welcome to town, Welcome
back to town, Tate mccrane again, eight ten and nine
ten this morning, we've got tickets, last minute tickets for
the show. And don't forget. She comes back to Boston
October seventeenth. She loves this city.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Huh oh yeah, well the city loves her.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
Yeah, it's Tate Tuesday.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
I mean, she sold out two shows at the Garden
and then added the third show. When do you ever
see that? They come back three months later? Yeah, a
couple months later, you know.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
By the way, Tate, if you're listening, feel free to
give us a call.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
She loves she loves one seven nine one one.
Speaker 9 (11:06):
Oh wait, yeah, hey, this is Tate McCrae and I'm
hanging with Billy Costa.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
From the Planet's fitness Kiss one Away Studios.
Speaker 6 (11:14):
We're back with Billy and Lisa in the morning on
Kiss one.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Wait hey, justin, let's squeeze in a talkback. You have time.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
Yeah, we're not always that big on the national days.
There's different ones every day, several every single day. But
today it's a big one National Dog Day, National Dog Day.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
I'm gonna walk with mine right now.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
Who's a good girl?
Speaker 8 (11:33):
You are?
Speaker 10 (11:35):
You walk now?
Speaker 2 (11:37):
The entertainment updates with a Billy Hotsta.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
And today is also Tate Tuesday. We've got last minute
tickets to her shows all day today starting at A
ten and nine ten. She's got shows tonight and tomorrow
night in the TD Garden. Lil naz X is out
of jail this morning. It was arrested early last Friday morning,
actually middle of the night, walking the streets of La naked,
(12:04):
wearing cowboy boots and assaulting police. He's facing four count them,
four felony charges right now. This was his dad yesterday
outside the gym.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
He's a good spirit, he's all right.
Speaker 11 (12:15):
He's very remorse with what happened, you know, but it
can happen any family. You know, He's going to get
the help that he needs, and just keep him in
your prayers.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
Yeah. By the way, the cowboy boots he was wearing
but took off at some point are now on sale
on eBay for ten grand. Some guy was smart enough
to run over and grab the cowboy boots.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
That's the Hustle's that guy a hustler certified?
Speaker 2 (12:43):
And where's the traffic like the cone you know?
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Oh right, yeah, that'll be on someone.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Gets his jaws too. Then he took off.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
All right, winn here you go. Justin anced. Bruno Mars
will be in Vegas for New Year's Eve. He'll do
two shows on the thirtieth and the thirty first at
the Park. MGM, I had.
Speaker 5 (13:01):
I've seen him there. Great, great, great venue to see
him out. He's amazing.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
All right. I would go to Vegas for Bruno Mars.
I would.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
I'm going to bucket list for me.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
I should.
Speaker 5 (13:13):
Yeah, I didn't know, and I hate Vegas, but I
went for him. But on New Year's Eve I went
in August.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
Yeah, it'll be fun.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
I'm thinking I'm going to consider this. Why not I
am going to consider it, honey, if you're listening, I'm
going to.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
Be sort of on the West coast, like Mexico in Vegas.
I'll be kind of nuts.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
Yeah, Cosmo and Bruno Mars uh So, Lisa, Benny Blanco
and Selena Gomez had their bachelor and bachelorette parties they did.
Speaker 6 (13:38):
She was in Cabo with her friends on the boat,
and then he was in Vegas. So yeah, they're often
ready to go to get married in September.
Speaker 5 (13:44):
I love how they're like so rich and famous and
they went to like the most you know, regular bachelorette
and bachelor of destinations.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Like Cabo's fine. Cabo's fine.
Speaker 5 (13:53):
Like, I'm just surprised they're not going to like Sandro
Pey or you know, or like some island.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
Well, Benny Blancos, that happens not so regular. He's being
called tone deaf and he's getting slayed on social media
for promoting two hundred dollars blueberries. Here he is, guys,
I can't tell if I'm too or These blueberries they
just sent me are the biggest things I've ever seen.
Speaker 5 (14:17):
In the world.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Okay, watch they come like individually packed.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
This is insane.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
Look at this blueberry. This this is a blueberry?
Speaker 9 (14:32):
What?
Speaker 3 (14:33):
Okay, I'm gonna.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
Taste its h I didn't the boxer or a two
hundred dollars?
Speaker 3 (14:41):
Yeah, you know what, Benny, you look like a blueberry.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
Yeah, here's the part I don't understand. Like he's goofing
around with some blueberries. How do you get angry enough
to take to social and attack them like it's a blueberry?
It's you know, it's you should see these things though.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
They come in a box there, individually packaged, and they're
the size of a walnut. They're giants.
Speaker 6 (15:04):
Again, you have to ask yourself, how did it get
to be that big?
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Okay it up with thanks for asking?
Speaker 1 (15:11):
I know.
Speaker 6 (15:13):
Right exactly, Like what are they doing to that blueberry?
Speaker 5 (15:16):
They call them like HMOs or GMO.
Speaker 8 (15:19):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (15:20):
That's like I'd rather have a small, wild grown garry
that you know, kind of came out of the place to.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Have a blueberry.
Speaker 7 (15:27):
Right.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
I have a lot of blueberries during the course of
a week. I love blue I like blueberries a lot too.
I think they're like two Rachel Platten is taking a
cue from Taylor Swift. She's releasing a new album all
her songs, like the one that we actually remember a
fight from the room.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
She came to one of our like pre kisconsa live.
Speaker 5 (15:49):
Show in like twenty eighteen or something like that.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
But the story actually says it's an album Rachel's versions
of all of her greatest hits. What she had one hit?
I thought, so it was a big hit. I mean
that song. Didn't she do it live on our show
one day?
Speaker 2 (16:08):
She did?
Speaker 5 (16:08):
Yeah, we wrote that Rachel Platinum, all yeah? With her,
she was the like every other week.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
So Rachel's version on the way, And I did mention
Taylor Swift. And you've got a story about Taylor's red lipstick.
Speaker 6 (16:20):
Lease all right, So Louis Vutana is coming out with
this outrageously expensive we were talking about ragiously expensive blueberries.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
One hundred and sixty dollars for a tube of lipstick.
That's a lot. Some people will pay it, I know
they will.
Speaker 6 (16:31):
But the backstory is that Pat McGrath is the creative
director who designed this whole beauty line, and her lipstick
was the one that Taylor wore on the aerostour that
number four read and it sold out for two years.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
You could not get that lipstick.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
So if you get the two hundred dollars blueberries and
one hundred and twenty dollars lipstick here, you're in sixty.
You're living it up.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
Yeah, I guess.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (16:53):
Honestly, the one sixty fil lop cost is a better investment,
will lasts you way long.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
Enough there and it's a it's a refillable too.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Oh, so you can just buy the stick exactly. You're
listening to today's deals on the Billy and you.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
Know what, I asking all the big questions to.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
Ask yourself, how did it get to be that big?
Speaker 5 (17:13):
I'll be hearing that in the end of the year
clips the.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
Deals of the day.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
So, Harry Styles has a new girlfriend, but she's everybody's girlfriend.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Well, no, she's been she's been out and about with
Austin Butler. She's in a new movie. Her name is
Zoe Kravitz.
Speaker 6 (17:27):
You might know because she's Lisa Bonett and uh, Lenny
Kravitz's daughter.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
She was in Big Little Lies. She's gorgeous. She was
just with Channing Tatum.
Speaker 6 (17:36):
They broke up and now she was walking arm in
arm in Rome with Harry Styles and Austin Butler.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
Channing Tatum Harry Styles. So yeah, okay, no, I think
you're you're mister presenting. She was with Channing for a
few years. I think they were even like low key engaged.
She's doing a movie with Austin and now she's dating Harry.
That's that's not well. She acts like she's just going
through she's not running around the movie.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
And you know they were doing Oppressed, but they were
seen canoodling. I love that word. Oh yeah, sort of kissing.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
And so it could be can noodling or it could be,
as my father would say, running amuck.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
She's playing the field.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Yeah, and you know what, she can.
Speaker 1 (18:16):
Some of the best looking guys I know.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
I like that juson Harry and.
Speaker 5 (18:19):
I'm Zoe Kravitz. I'm doing the same exact thing.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Why not, Lisa, Let's go book club. All kinds of news.
Lisa's book club.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
All right.
Speaker 6 (18:26):
So this Thursday, we've got Jodi Pico at Big Night
Live and Cordelia Fox is performing. She's a Berkeley College
student with her band. We just posted a link for
an event we're doing September eighth at Johnson, Maine, which
is one of our partners. We want to thank them.
It will be at the store with Chris Whitaker. He
wrote the book All the Colors of the Dark, and
(18:47):
he's it was like the book of the year was
the Jenna bush Hager book pick. I met him at
the Nashville Jenna bush Hager Book Festival and asked him
to come. He is coming all the way from London.
He's a really cool guy. And get in on this
because again it's at joson Maine. The link is live
at Kiss oneaway dot com. There and the Kiss Instagram
(19:07):
and on my Instagram Lisa Donovan one oh eight in
my story. Just click the link and register. This is
going to sell out literally in minutes. And he's calling
in today at nine oh five for.
Speaker 5 (19:16):
The Lomon the Accident alone. I would go to this
book club.
Speaker 4 (19:19):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
So Miley Cyrus did a song for her dad, Billy
Ray Cyrus, and it was for his birthday. Now if
you think it sounds a little Fleetwood Mackish, well it
is because the song features Lindsay bucking Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
I love that.
Speaker 5 (19:36):
Oh that's really cool.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
Yeah, that is really did she speak to her dad?
Speaker 5 (19:39):
They're like mending their relationship.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
He got really weird. Yeah, he's really weird.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
He did yeah coldplay Chris Martin helping a fan pop
the question during a show at Wembley, but he had
to make jokes about the big cheating scandal of Joe Brother.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
I was like, there's some very basic security checks.
Speaker 7 (19:58):
Okay, this cush, Yes, no one else's p okay, poke?
Are you his sibling?
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Is there anything weird? No? Okay? Are you AI or
made from? Are you really?
Speaker 3 (20:14):
Are you real people?
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Okay, and I think we can continue.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
I love Chris Mark and I think it's so cool
he mentioned AI. Did you see the story about Will Smith. Uh,
there's a music video for one of his new songs
and people are accusing him of inserting AI people into
the video because you know, he's out on tour promoting
the latest music and not many people are showing up,
so they're saying he's using AI to insert.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
People, Like, yeah, you can tell some of the hands
are deformed, are blurry?
Speaker 2 (20:48):
That's weird.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
He only sold like two thousand copies of his album Wow,
I feel bad. I love Will, I.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
Love all of his music.
Speaker 5 (20:56):
Yeah, this is a great time to try to book him. Guys,
this is a time of trying to book him.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
Justin reach out, I say, we.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
Got to go after Will Well, I can do that, Yeah,
I can. I know I know that he's been turned
away at some other radio stations, so he is looking
to do some press him, so I'll reach out.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
Well, he had we had such a good time with
him at his concert.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
Oh he's such a nice guy. I mean, you know,
he's had his moments. I give you that.
Speaker 5 (21:23):
But I think what I will say is in thirty
five years, he had one real moment, So I guess
that's pretty good odds, right, Like he was on the
street and now for like thirty four out of thirty
five years.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
All right, it's roster cut day today in the NFL.
The deadline four o'clock this afternoon. Some nervous players at
practice today. Drake May knows the feeling. Yeah, it's always
a tough day.
Speaker 3 (21:45):
You know, I really got to experience it, you know
one time last year with the guys around the locker room.
I'll so you hear about it. And so many guys
out here that worked their butts off that are kind
of he'll fight and crawling to make the team.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
There you go, their first game is get the Raiders
September seven, and Socks beat the Orioles in Baltimore yesterday.
Roman Anthony becomes the youngest player in Red Sox history
to have a lead off home run swings.
Speaker 12 (22:09):
He'll tag this one. There's a drive out to right.
It is deepbit it is gone end up Lincoln and I.
The Red Sox take a one to nothing lead is six.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
The Red Sox are so exciting to watch right now. Yeah,
Roman Anthony a Roman Empire. Yeah, so good, so young.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
I think it's gonna come down to pitching. They've got
the lineup to win.
Speaker 5 (22:30):
Yeah, guys, I just have to let you know. I
just went back and looked because you know it's cut.
You said it was cutting, you know the cup, Yeah,
Mac Jones, because I'm obsessed with where he ended up.
They actually kept him, and they cut two other quarterbacks.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Jacksonville forty nine ers.
Speaker 5 (22:43):
I didn't know he's for the San Francisco now Yeah,
and then but Bailly Zappy got cut by.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
The Chiefs right, still floating around.
Speaker 5 (22:51):
Yeah, I'm just the last two quarterbacks we've had. I
just really want to know where they've landed. Yeah, it
really didn't work out.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Yeah, they're still with the girls that we met.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
Yeah, right, Matt Jones.
Speaker 5 (23:01):
They're probably rying around with them every state they go to.
Speaker 3 (23:04):
Well, you know, he's still picking up the krumb He's.
Speaker 12 (23:07):
Picking up those chrumbs and eventually you have a whole
whole loaf of bread.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
So yeah, and now this. At a recent cecil Township
meeting in Pennsylvania, officials discussed whether to shut down Steel Town,
a local motocross track, after noise complaints led to a
cease and assist hearing, which is a schedule for August eighteenth.
I guess happened. But during the comments, one resident, frustrated
(23:34):
with all the interruptions, decided to turn himself into a
motocross park. Anything bad? So much time did he dedicate?
Speaker 3 (23:58):
You know what, I'm going to reach out to Wilson.
Thanks for this show them.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
Hey, we brought to you by the ninety nine restaurants.
Gotta love the new burgers that the Nines bigger boulder beef. Hear,
They're a half pound American angus beef, sure to please
everybody in the fam. Try the new Bourbon onion burger
and get more hang for the buck. Gotta love the
Nines in there.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
You go.
Speaker 6 (24:21):
You have to ask yourself how did it get to
be that big?
Speaker 3 (24:24):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (24:24):
I love Billy and Lisa kiss one a way.
Speaker 13 (24:27):
Hi, guys, I'm hoping you can help me with something.
I just started dating a guy about a month ago
and I really like him and it's going really well.
And he has a birthday coming up in just a
couple of these and I don't what to do.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
Should I get him something? Do I get a card?
Speaker 1 (24:44):
Please?
Speaker 9 (24:45):
Help?
Speaker 1 (24:46):
Thinks?
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Oh, I think she should get him a card.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
You gotta get him something, yeah, something.
Speaker 6 (24:51):
Little, just an acknowledgment. Yeah, yeah, it's pretty new. So
I don't think the expectation is there. I don't think
he has the expectation, probably and it would be all awkward.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Is there a danger to overdoing it?
Speaker 2 (25:02):
I think?
Speaker 6 (25:03):
I think yeah, I think again, I think the best
thing is just get a card, write something nice in it,
you know, but do you know acknowledge it? But again,
the expectations should not be like a big gift.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
But what if, like there's something that he likes and
you spend the money on that thing.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
Like what like a hobby if he has a hobby,
or yeah, or like Bill's boat.
Speaker 3 (25:22):
Billy loves his boat, right, So if it was Billy,
maybe something small for the boat, a picture or something
with a message.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
Yeah, it's something little, just an acknowledgement.
Speaker 5 (25:32):
I like, maybe if he likes coffee, like a Starbucks
gape card or a Doug gift card like twenty bucks
like some you know what I mean, something thoughtful but
that's not expensive, right, you know what I mean? Just
so you're thinking of them, because you guys do start
dating for the long run. I don't know when her.
Speaker 14 (25:46):
Birthday is, but you want to be like, hey, you know, yeah,
I'm hesitant to tell this story, but please do you know,
because it's all about honesty on this show. Yes, I
started dating dating a girl, you know, some time ago
before my wife, and uh, it was probably a month
or two months of dating. And it was her birthday
and I overcompensated and I spent a bunch of money
(26:09):
because I really liked her and tried to impress her.
And obviously it didn't work out. Soon after and I
asked for the stuff back.
Speaker 6 (26:17):
Okay, wait, I need to ask what what did you
give her?
Speaker 3 (26:22):
There was some jewelry.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
Oh you chook the jewelry.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
Take jewelry. She wouldn't give it back. She wouldn't give
it back.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
I don't blame.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
There was some jewelry gift cards. I wrote a card. Obviously,
I was just yes, were you? I was young and dumb.
Speaker 5 (26:37):
It's funny you say this. My boyfriend's birthdays tomorrow and
it's our first birthday together.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
Happy birthday close.
Speaker 5 (26:43):
So I'm like, I have to set the bar somewhat
because my birthday is in December, and I'm like, and we.
Speaker 3 (26:49):
Know you expect. I expect.
Speaker 5 (26:52):
Yeah, he knows like he is, you know, very generous,
so I know he'll take care of me for my birthday.
But I'm like, his birthday's first, so I'm like, I
feel like I need to like at least come through.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
You got to step it up.
Speaker 2 (27:03):
Plus you guys have.
Speaker 6 (27:04):
Been together for over six months, so yeah, I mean yeah, but.
Speaker 5 (27:08):
It's the first birthday where I'm like, all right, girl,
you got to set the bar because when December comes,
it's Christmas and my birthday in two weeks.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
So I'm thinking overnight's date, a nice hotel, win the Yeah,
that's always good.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
That sounds like you to go to dinner and use
a gift card. Probably, yeah, but That's the thing I
think is is you don't want to do it. You know,
learn from me. Don't overcompensate exactly, don't overspend. Try to
impress the person. Yeah, be modest. I like Lisa's idea,
(27:44):
write a card, write something.
Speaker 6 (27:45):
Hot, just you know, just start Yeah, just start there,
don't the expectation is.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
Not there yet. Car No, no, no, no, no, I
didn't say that.
Speaker 6 (27:54):
I said start there and maybe just a little something
like if you have a hobby or something like Justin said.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
But it doesn't have to be like a lot. She's
only been with them like a month.
Speaker 5 (28:03):
How do you sign the card? How do you sign
the card when you just start dating a heart? Do
you do a dash?
Speaker 3 (28:09):
Do you do like?
Speaker 5 (28:11):
Because you know, normally you'd say like love Lisa.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
I definitely would do love Lisa.
Speaker 5 (28:15):
You would someone you were only need for a month.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
No, I don't know, but I always signed love. I
don't know. I think I think that's funny.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
You said you put that in my card, right.
Speaker 6 (28:22):
But you love Yeah again, I'm not going to write sincerely,
that's weird.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
Right when you're dating someone.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
How do you sign a card when you just started dating?
Speaker 2 (28:32):
You could do a little heart. I guess it just
depends on the person.
Speaker 5 (28:35):
Imagine if you wrote out love and the person was like,
they freaked out because they thought you really meant like love.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
You know, it's really funny. I just thought of you know,
when I came out with a cookbook, the Billy and
Jenny Cookbook, and we were doing a book signing, and
you know, women were in mind for the book, and
I was innocently just you know, signing Bailey coss to XOX.
You can't do that. You can't say x X why not?
Yeah that's you?
Speaker 2 (29:01):
Yeah, yeah, which is okay?
Speaker 3 (29:03):
I do x X. I also draw a little heart
from my wife and all the cards and it never
looks right. I'm not a good artist.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
You need to work on the heart.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
Yeah, it doesn't look that good.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
You know again, Cash is king. What are you gonna
gi him? A little?
Speaker 3 (29:17):
Walking around?
Speaker 1 (29:18):
Walking around you. I don't care for a person is
if they're getting I don't care if you're dated for
a week. If you get cash, that's walking around and
nobody cares.
Speaker 7 (29:31):
Run.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
Now it's topic time with Billy and Lisa.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
In the morning, and a couple of minutes ago we
had a talkbacker asking for our help.
Speaker 8 (29:40):
II.
Speaker 13 (29:40):
Guys, I'm hoping you can help me with something. I
just started dating a guy about a month ago, and
I really like him and it's going really well, and
he has a birthday coming up in just all these
and I don't know to do.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
Should I get him something? Do I get a card?
Speaker 1 (29:57):
Please? Help?
Speaker 2 (29:58):
Thanks?
Speaker 1 (29:59):
So he's looking for ideas, Lisa, you said a nice card, right?
Speaker 6 (30:03):
Yeah, start there, I mean again, like it's only been
a month. But acknowledge it, right, don't go over more
like justin.
Speaker 1 (30:11):
Well, he got jewelry and then took it back.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
Can then ask for it back?
Speaker 1 (30:15):
Which is yeah, I was.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
I was angry and emotional hoping to do this to me.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
I think we all agree, like, acknowledge it.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
Yeah, when he had an interesting want a gift card,
especially like a coffee shop. Let's get some ideas. Let's
go to Caroline. She's on the phone calling in from Norton, Massachusetts. Caroline,
what do you think.
Speaker 8 (30:33):
Hey, good morning? Bring him on a surprise ride an adventure.
So I on a cart. You could sign your name
and say I'm bringing you on a surprise ride birthday
present and go to like f one Racing or AX
throwing or glass blowing at Federal Hill. Like, do an
adventure so you both can have fun and then it's
not too sentimental.
Speaker 5 (30:55):
Okay, make us experience like a fine Yeah, have a
lot of good ideas there at leasta.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
Just promise me you'll never ask me to go glass blowing.
Speaker 6 (31:04):
Yeah, it's not, ironically. I come from a long line
of glass.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
We know relatives. Yeah. The other thing, pottery making. It's
never a good idea.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
No, that's not for you.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (31:24):
I come from a long line of glass blowers in Poland.
Speaker 1 (31:28):
Like the roots in Poland or glass blowers.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
Yes, that's what they did their job.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
You can do something like, you know, a nice stroll
somewhere in Boston, you know, like outside.
Speaker 6 (31:39):
Absolutely good concert. Yeah, there's so many fun things to do.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
The concert's good.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
Well then you got to you know, you want to
spend a ton of money on something, but there's.
Speaker 6 (31:48):
A lot of nice things that you can do that
you know that don't cost a lot of money in
the city.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
You just have to do your research.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
Yeah, good solid porn movie.
Speaker 14 (31:56):
Oh my god, somebody at him please.
Speaker 15 (32:00):
It's always easy for a man in this situation because
they could just suit card and flowers. So what would
be the equivalent of flowers for a man that she
could give him as a birthday gift?
Speaker 12 (32:12):
Mmm?
Speaker 2 (32:14):
Good question.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
You know what I like? Succulents. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (32:18):
I don't think she met actual flowers, Billy, she met like,
what would a man want that's not flowers.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
I got the gift of succulents this week, and I'm
telling you it's a nice gift.
Speaker 5 (32:29):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
Even Lisa gave me the look. Okay, maybe you should
just shove up.
Speaker 3 (32:37):
Hey, guys.
Speaker 10 (32:38):
Kevin from mall than longtime listener, Hey, just a little advice.
Forty six years together with my wife thirty seven, married
two wonderful grown boys, one married, one not, and secret
to the whole thing is just be respectful, that's all.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
Okay, be respectful? Wise words from Kevin.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
From Kevin, I don't think that's going to be enough
for a Winny so Cloth if you're listening, well.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
When he just admitted on the air that she has
to kind of go all out for her boyfriend's birthday
so that her birthday and Christmas during the same month,
ye are going to be epic?
Speaker 5 (33:14):
Yes, so you're making his birthday about you. Well, I'm
just strategizing. Yeah, I'm just can I guys at the bar. Like,
he's very generous, so I know he'll take care of
me on my birthday and Christmas. But I'm like, you
know what, let me just make sure.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
Yeah, at least match him exactly what your birthday was.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
But this is a hard one because it's a new
dating thing.
Speaker 9 (33:35):
And the.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
Exactly yeah you don't wanted to go overboard.
Speaker 16 (33:40):
Okay, something that I did for a guy I was
kind of dating a couple of years ago.
Speaker 5 (33:44):
He really liked gummy bears.
Speaker 16 (33:46):
And as kind of like a joke thing, I got
kind of a big Mason jar, like an extra tall one,
and I just got a couple of gummy Bear packs
and I like filled it up with the gummy bears
and it was kind of like funny because it was
like nothing too serious and expensive, and he also like
really liked it.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
Yeah that's cute.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
It's actually a cute idea because there's a thought there
right right, you had to plant Yeah, it exuate it.
Speaker 7 (34:11):
Yeah. Sure.
Speaker 5 (34:11):
I feel like guys are pretty simple, Like if you
just see something thoughtful, like you know they like something,
they'll probably be happy.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
Yeah, it's the thought that counts. That's what they say. Yeah,
put some effort into it, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
It's always be a good listener.
Speaker 6 (34:24):
And like they say things in conversation and then if
you remember them, they're like, oh right, yeah, good advice.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
I know what at least it wants for her birthday.
It's those big big blueberries.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
Billy at Lisa every morning.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
Kiss one. I wait, good morning, everybody. It is Tuesday.
It is August twenty sixth, and more importantly, today is
National Dog Day.
Speaker 17 (34:47):

at Pentucket Bank and Happy National Dog there we're going
(35:38):

Speaker 11 (35:41):
Well.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
I was just telling Lisa and Winnie off the air.
Over the vacation. Michelle and I took Titus to Park
nine and Everett. It was amazing. If you want to
have a good outing with your dog, it's right in Everett.
It's an indoor dog park where they run around and
they have a ball and you can sit right there
as they run around you. There's a bar in that area.
(36:02):
You can get soft drinks or cocktails or beer. There's
an outdoor area and then you can bring them up
to a different area as long as they're on leash
and you can you can eat and sit.
Speaker 6 (36:11):
Yeah, we got to get the dogs together. Ruby's getting
having her hair, you know, her hair cut.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
Today. She's having a grooming day.
Speaker 6 (36:17):
She's getting buzz, he's getting she's having a spa day.
And then I'm going to go to Chewy dot com
and order her something really fun to play with.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
There, you go nice, I'll do a pop cup cooda.
Speaker 3 (36:27):
My dog loves ice cream.
Speaker 5 (36:28):
Yeah, just vanilla ice cream with a little bone on top.
There's plenty of ice cream places that do it, sure,
And I'm just or you can go get like you know,
with cream coffee shop and a cheap thing.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
But yeah, well you know what, he's.
Speaker 5 (36:39):
Not living Titus. Okay, No, he's definitely not He's definitely
not living that life. But he'll take his vanilla ice cream.
Speaker 1 (36:45):
He's a good boy.
Speaker 5 (36:46):
He's a good boy.
Speaker 1 (36:48):
We don't have a dog.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
We have a cat. But they have seven dogs next door,
the neighbor.
Speaker 7 (36:52):
I know they want.
Speaker 3 (36:54):
Yeah, they have four three or four Dalmatians. The rottwiler
are two pugs. I'm a cat.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
That's a lot.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
Yeah, what's going on over there? They're just dog people,
I guess. But they're all good.
Speaker 1 (37:05):
But foster or something or they just have their own pets.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
I'm not sure. I'm not sure. Good for them, they're fostering. Yeah,
I just walk by every day, and you know what
I mean.
