Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, we're backs.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
Are just announced the top two shows on Netflix to
show You and Tina Fey's new show, the four Seasons.
We have the creator of You, Caroline Kepnis.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
That is an intro my goodness and well deserved.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
So You've got a big road trip with Lisa in
the book Club tonight, right, Lisa.
Speaker 4 (00:18):
Yeah, the girls are hitting the road.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
Yes, I am excited.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
Yeah, we all are.
Speaker 5 (00:23):
This is like our first Lisa's book Club outside of Massachusetts.
So we're heading down to Harford Kiss ninety five point
seven Courtney and Kiss in the Morning and yeah, we're
road tripping it because of the fifth and final season
of You on Netflix is.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Out a very special occasion.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
I gotta tell you, Caroline, I have been binge watching
the final season. I got to congratulate you. You are
one of the best writers I have ever experienced. As
I'm watching the show, every episode, I'm thinking, how did
she come up with this?
Speaker 1 (00:56):
You are amazing.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
The show are Yeah. They go to places that are
surprising and shocking me. So it's so exciting to see
it become this other universe.
Speaker 5 (01:07):
So can you take us back to how you created
the Joe Goldberg character. It's such a fascinating story for
people that may not have checked out the U series yet.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Yeah, I mean it's always like inspiration is always a
swirl of things of like, there was bad stuff going
on in my life in a big way, and there
were little things getting on my nerves. But I had
one of those moments in public where I felt like
a real complete hypocrite and I was living in my
head a lot. And I had also had emergency throat
surgery and had to live through a notepad, and you've
(01:39):
become really aware of your interior monologue. And Joe came
from me wanting to see if I could like make
a brain on the page and make you feel like
you were living in this crazy head and how someone's
thoughts can sort of affect the world.
Speaker 5 (01:53):
So Joe became He's a lovable serial killer. Did you
have a say in who was cast as show?
Speaker 3 (02:01):
When I got that video, they were like very hot
on pen and I got the video and I can
remember where I was in the chills of like, yes,
this is it. Yeah, And I think we all know
now years later, yeah, this was the right choice.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
And Penn is an executive producer right on the show
as well.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Yes, he is.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yes, I have to ask.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
You, Caroline, who's the actress that plays the twins in
the current season, the final season of you.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Oh Anna Camp.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Yes, she's fabulous.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Oh my god, she's got some crazy scenes.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
And that's one of those full circle things I love,
like with you, Like I'd watched Pitch Perfect, like after
I lost my father. That was the movie that like
kind of got me off the couch a little bit,
and I just loved it. And so I feel like
I've known her because of watching that movie so many times.
So I love when life works that way, especially in
like pop culture. Like there she is in season five
(02:52):
of You. I'm like, couldn't be better.
Speaker 5 (02:55):
Well, we were talking about all of the actors and
actresses that have been in all five seas, like John Stamos,
like Jenna or Taga.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Out of nowhere in this season, one of the ranch
hands from Yellowstone had a cameo and I'm like, hell.
Speaker 5 (03:11):
And then the girl who plays Bronte is in Handmaid's
tand yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Yeah, it's yeah. I mean it's casting over the years
has been amazing and to see people blow up like
miss Ortego, like, it's just been so much fun. Of
like part of the ride.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Yes, So a.
Speaker 5 (03:27):
Character like Joe must haunt you, right, So do you
have any news on on a Is there going to
be another?
Speaker 6 (03:33):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (03:34):
Is there going to be an extension of you?
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (03:38):
I have been squirreled away working on a sort of
trips back into young Joe that has been very exciting
because it is a hard character to let go of,
and I wanted to see him in a different time
of it in his life and and also go back
to like the early two thousands. So yes, there is
more you on the way.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
This is breaking news.
Speaker 7 (03:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
So I'm guessing he must have been working in the
bookstore at the time as a kid, because Sydney start there.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
And that's correct. Yes, it's sort of like going back
to his adolescence and when there's a little bit of
innocence still in there. And I don't like to talk
a lot about things before I'm like fully done with them.
But I love this book. I mean it's New York
two thousand and two, so it's just a very special time.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Well, this is a special night because this is the
first Lisa's book Club that takes us over the borders
to another state.
Speaker 5 (04:26):
Right, Yeah, exactly, and I want to thank ninety plus
sellers because they really, you know, got this ball rolling.
And then Caroline jumped on and she's like, yes, let's
do it, and I'm just I always love how easy
you are to work with and how you're so cool
about jumping in and doing new things. So I want
to thank you for taking this road trip with us
to Hartford. And I think it's going to be a
really special night.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
I'm so excited.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
I love to see a book club grow like this,
and it's always all do anything with you anytime, Lisa.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Yes, and look think about this way in the car
with Lisa, you could do some writing come up. So
did I see what I'm close to the end of
the season five?
Speaker 1 (05:08):
I think it is. Did I see one of the.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
Cast members from Saturday Night Live pop into the show?
Speaker 1 (05:14):
Ooh?
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Like possibly?
Speaker 2 (05:18):
I think she was a TV reporter or interviewer that
was interviewing Joe Goldberg, and I said.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Wait a minute, she's from Saturday Night Live. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
It's like you get sucked into something but you almost
want to pause and then go online, but you don't
want to pause because you want to keep going.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
Yeah, it's such a good show. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 5 (05:34):
Yeah, well this is amazing. So you fans out there,
there's going to be a prequel.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
That's big news. Big news. Is that breaking news?
Speaker 4 (05:42):
I think we just broke. I think we just broke
something pretty big here.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Wow. What else is going on at the event tonight least?
Speaker 4 (05:49):
So we have so Caroline knows this.
Speaker 5 (05:51):
We are teaming up with our sister station Kiss ninety
five seven Courtney in the Morning with Savannah, so it'll
be the four of us on stage sort of, you know,
asking you questions and talking about your writing process and
what's been going on. But it's so cool that you
are from Massachusetts, Like, that's amazing. At Leasta's Book Club,
(06:11):
we always focus on writers that have a New England
connection and may people maybe don't know that Caroline is
from here.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
Yeah, so it's really great.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
A lot of time on Nantucket, a lot of.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
Time on the cape, right, guys.
Speaker 8 (06:26):
A few years ago I was on Nantucket and I
met Caroline Kepnis at Cisco Brewery's and it was the
coolest thing ever. She was talking about how she was
there for either like a book signing or a trip
or I totally forget what, but She had hinted at
what kind of books she right, and I had just
finished the book You. So I look at her, I go, wait,
(06:46):
are you Caroline Kepness and she goes, oh my god.
I have never heard a random stranger just say my.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Name like that.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
That is so cool.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
So yeah, the best readers in the world. And I
love it because I will always think now when this happens,
that something's wrong, that I did something wrong that or
I have finish in my teeth. And when it turns
out they know that I write you, I'm like, Okay,
we're good.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Wow. So big night tonight. It's too late to get
in right. The list is closed.
Speaker 5 (07:15):
You can go on the On the Kiss ninety five
point seven website and you can register. We'll be at
the Farmington Gardens, that beautiful event facilities.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
So if you want to come, you can come.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Short trip to Hartford road trip Carolyn yep.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
Get the tunes on Billy and Lisa.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
It's my way.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
So the Billy and Lisa's show is all about passing
along information to our listeners.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
It's what we like to do. Okay.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
So I'm sitting here reading a list of best states
in America. These are the best states in America as
rated by US News and World Report.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
And what did they base it on?
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Well, everything from healthcare and education within a state, to
the economy, the infrastructure, public safety is always important, right, environment,
and and the kind of opportunity that is offered in
that respective state. And now let's go to the list.
In the top ten at number nine, is this state
(08:16):
of Massachusetts.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
Well, at least we're in the top ten, the top ten.
That's good.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Cracked the top ten nine, number nine in America. Okay, okay,
you might be wondering, boy, how did Florida? Dolord, Florida
came in sixth? Really just shy of the top five? Wow, yeah, Florida.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
What of weird stuff happens in Florida?
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (08:41):
Yeah, I think they'd be like the opposite.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Interestingly, Idaho made the top three. Okay, Now, I don't
give Idaho much thought. I know they're all about the potato,
right in Idaho. Potatoes top three at number three.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Wait, there's a lot of opportunity in Idaho. Apparently that
environment is wonderful. There's a lot of opportunity, great.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Healthcare, growing economy, opportunity.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Is big in Idaho. I'm guessing potatoes. Oh yeah, Idaho potato.
Speaker 9 (09:09):
Yeah, not all potatoes or Idaho potatoes. You have to
look for the grown in Idaho seal.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Yeah. Okay.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
The runner up in the top ten, the number two
state in the entire country is the state of New Hampshire.
Speaker 6 (09:28):
No way, New Hampshire.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
Oh yeah, here we go. Love New Hampshire.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
I like that beautiful New Hampshire as I like to
call it North Country.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
That's right. I mean I live right over the border,
but I'm happy.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Well you're in the beautiful Well you're like almost in
New Hampshire, but not fully committed.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
So what put it over the edge to make it
to number two.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Well, I'm guessing the environment. It's beautiful, a lot of trees, mountains.
You're familiar with the mountains and the floome rhdes and everyone.
By the way, you need to point this out New Hampshire.
Now this is what we call on the Billy and
List the Morning Show, and irony it really is. Okay,
this is a glaring irony right here. New Hampshire comes
(10:08):
in number one for crime and corrections, yep, number one.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
So the lack of yeah, no, yeah, yes.
Speaker 6 (10:18):
And our number one Felon Justin lives there.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
There we go, but reformed. There lies the irony. Yeah, reformed. Yeah,
I gotta say I feel pretty safe in New Hampshire.
Speaker 6 (10:30):
Would you leave your drawn locked?
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Uh?
Speaker 10 (10:32):
No?
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (10:33):
And again, what are the critical pieces the criteria used
for this list? Okay, is opportunity? Right, So New Hampshire
is considered a land of opportunity, but producer Riley came
to Massachusetts too, opportunity.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
We both live in New Hampshire and work in Massachusetts.
So what's number one?
Speaker 2 (10:54):
Okay, number one on the list? Top ten ten best
states in America.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
I'm gonna say, can I guess?
Speaker 11 (10:59):
Sure?
Speaker 1 (10:59):
New York at LISTA? Do you ever guess?
Speaker 4 (11:04):
I was going to say New York, I'll say California?
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Really? Oh thout? California was falling apart, but Winnie.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
I gave you the list, Okay, so yeah, see now
I would have expected you to cheat.
Speaker 6 (11:16):
No.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
Yeah, Number one in the country Utah.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
Yeah that's so strange.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Yeah, who goes to Utah unless you're skiing?
Speaker 1 (11:25):
Yeah? Snowboarding? Skiing? Utah is beautiful, by the way. Yeah,
so I hear.
Speaker 12 (11:30):
Well, the Mormons, like I think they don't have a
lot of drinking because like the sure lots of crime.
Speaker 6 (11:35):
Yeah, low crime.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
You know a few times in my life I've flown
over Utah and as I look down from thirty thousand feet,
it looks beautiful.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
The mountains are amazing.
Speaker 5 (11:45):
I have to point out that on this list of
the top ten, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts are all
on this list.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
Oh yeah, there's Vermont, three New England states.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
That's pretty good.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
That's great.
Speaker 6 (11:54):
I can't believe Florida's on that.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Yeah, this is a good that's a good list.
Speaker 4 (11:59):
Maybe Florida's turned the corner.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Maybe yeah, right, Yeah, that's what we've learned.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Florida has turned the corner. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
So the blonde was bragging that she knew all of
the state capitals.
Speaker 9 (12:12):
Okay, go ahead ask me.
Speaker 6 (12:14):
I know all of them.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
Okay, Wisconsin, Oh that is so easy.
Speaker 7 (12:19):
W Up is.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics.
Speaker 6 (12:22):
And we're back with Billy and Lisa in the morning
and kiss went away.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
Yo, Billy and Lisa when we ball them?
Speaker 2 (12:28):
You know what, Jaylin, I'm thinking between games two and
three would be balling.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
Okay, I'm just saying. Justin talked back quickly conclave day.
M yeah, new pope, it's gonna get picked. Could take hours,
could take days, could take years. How long was the
longest hair bill? Three years? Three years to find a
new pope? Wait? Really yeah? Yeah? Oh wow?
Speaker 4 (12:48):
Very political.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
Yes they have they've they have no phones, no internet,
no iPads. They swept the rooms for bugs. They're going
to be locked in to pick a new pope.
Speaker 13 (12:58):
I don't know if you guys have bird heaters that
your houses, but I've been noticing all and seeing the
past couple of weeks is female cardinals, and apparently I
looked it up. I guess it's because all the male
cardinals are in Rome taking a new vote.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Now the entertainment updates with the billy COTSA good get
it with?
Speaker 2 (13:17):
I got it?
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Okay, sucking always good to check.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Here we go south in the next game to tonight's
South down one game zip portsingis. By the way, tonight
is listed as possible. We're looking at a seven o'clock
tip off. And by the way, the Pacers and the
Warriors both won last night. Those pesky Pacers. I'm telling
you something. Pesky pacers. And if you were wondering if
(13:39):
Tom Brady had any regrets about that. Tom Brady Roach
recently apparently yes he did.
Speaker 14 (13:45):
I regret that my kids had to Like it was
tough on my kids for sure, because they don't think
they're at an age I kind of went in there, Look,
you don't know what to expect. And I love laughing
at myself. It felt like I was in the locker
room and the harder people go at me.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
I love it.
Speaker 14 (14:01):
If people make fun of you, then I know that
I'm good with them, you know. And like I said earlier,
I don't take myself too serious. So but I do understand,
like for my kids, that was really hard. We're not
perfect parents, like and you'll see as you grow up,
like there's no there's no perfect manual for it, and
like you got to value yourself as a parent too
all the time. So even though I really enjoyed the
show and the performances were incredible, and like when you
(14:24):
were in that moment in that theater that night at
the Forum, like it was electric, like it was crazy,
like we got done, we were everybody was on cloud nine.
And I think that moment I'll never forget, you know,
And then I'll never forget when I talked to my
kids the next day and I was like, I felt like,
you know, a steak through the heart.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
You want to take us back there? Justin Tom hates fat.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
I mean, do you guys know about his diet program.
Speaker 9 (14:52):
It is so strict, but if you follow it exactly
as he.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
Does, you two can lose your family. And curiously, did
you so much family?
Speaker 1 (15:02):
Tom also lost thirty million dollars in crypto?
Speaker 4 (15:04):
Tom, how did you fall for that?
Speaker 2 (15:06):
I mean even Gronk was like me, no, that not
real money. I think the morning after we all agreed
the family wasn't going to be happening.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
Oh no, you know, no, no, no, And I'm surprised
he's talking about it.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
Oh yeah, I'm.
Speaker 5 (15:20):
Seven rings well eight now that Giselle gave hers back, but.
Speaker 6 (15:26):
She was on fire.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (15:28):
Oh man, we saw her when she came to Boston
and she had the same rapid fire style.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Yeah, and she saved a lot of the jokes she
never used at the roast for the Boston show. That
was a great night here in Boston anyway.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
And Tom Brady, by the way, and my son Chris
getting ready to open another card vault by Tom Brady
it's going to happen Memorial Day weekend in the Hamptons.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
I know Billy.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
East Hampton, my fourth son right there.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
I know Bill.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Okay, well he didn't invite you personally, and did he
not invite me on his boat in Miami.
Speaker 6 (16:02):
Yeah, I'll have to be down there for social contents.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
Okay, We're all going to have to be there for something.
We'll all be going to at least this book club
going to Miami next dop in Miami. Imagine we're all
on the boat taking selfie's with Brady oh Man. So
Anne Wilson from Heart has a podcast, right Chapel Roon
(16:25):
went on the podcast as Wee Can praised the legendary
Heart song Barrakudah.
Speaker 9 (16:31):
Nothing has ever made me feel like as powerful as.
Speaker 7 (16:36):
When I like saying Arracudah on stage at all.
Speaker 13 (16:41):
I was like, actually, this is the coolest song ever,
and I feel like a real rock star.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
That's Heart.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
They were really cool.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
They were a couple of cool ladies.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Yeah not really, I.
Speaker 6 (16:53):
Feel of them.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
I'm just saying they were legends. I think there's still
not Well, she's got a broadcast. I'm still talking.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
So yesterday they announced the lineup for this year's Austin
City Limits and Chapel Roone just said it. She sang
Barracuda at Austin City Limits last year, So Sabrina Carpenter
going to be there. So's Heer, Doja Cat, Luke Combes
Dochi all going to be in the lineup. The festival
set for October third through the fifth. And by the way,
Doja Cat has a new album on the Way. She
(17:21):
was at the metcalum Monday night, says her outfit that night,
and her album on the Way is and will be
eighties inspired.
Speaker 5 (17:29):
Now her song the first hit she had it has
to say so kind of vibe to it. I like it, okay,
kind of sugary sweet, I like it And.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
The new album is on the way. Yesterday we talked
about the gate crasher, the guy who crashed through the
gates of Jennifer Aniston's house in Los Angeles. He was
in his seventies. We said that the police now are
tracking it as a possible stocking case. They've looked into
his social and apparently for a couple of years he's
been posting things about Jennifer Aniston.
Speaker 12 (17:58):
So he did do it on purpose, know Lisa and
I es are convinced it could have been an old
man driving a rack.
Speaker 6 (18:03):
Yeah, but he seems like it was targeted.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
Apparently.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
Yeah, he was stalking Jennifer Aniston for a couple of years.
That could have been worse. I mean, imagine if he
hit somebody on the property. She was there, she was
home at the time, and apparently she's got twenty four
to seven security. The security guards held the guy at
gunpoint and now he's in custody. And this is new
this morning. Legendary Motown singer Smokey Robinson is facing sexual
(18:28):
assault and rape accusations from three or four former housekeepers.
Apparently it's been going on or was going on for
a couple of years. This is their lawyer.
Speaker 15 (18:38):
They all feared missing a payday, in not being able
to pay their rent or buy food for their families.
And also Smokey's Robinson's celebrity status intimidated them and all
made them feel powerless.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
This is an incredible story. And he's heading out on
tour and we checked. There isn't a Boston date yet,
right lest.
Speaker 4 (18:59):
No, there isn't.
Speaker 10 (19:00):
Oh Man, Justin Hyatt Skippy not a talkback. But if
you look up the latest song from Smokey Robinson on
his new album. It's the song that's called Gasms, And
if you look up the lyrics you will not believe
what Smokey is singing.
Speaker 6 (19:17):
Did you do it?
Speaker 1 (19:19):
I did? You looked it up? I mean I pulled it.
It's my job, all right, do it? Do? We want
to listen to it?
Speaker 12 (19:26):
This man is a legend and he's singing about gasms
at eighty.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
Yeah, and now he's a potential skin dog, you know, horrible,
horrible raking, which is not No, it's not funny.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
And by the way, I saw another clip from that
lawyer who suggested his wife Smokey's wife was well aware
of it and was actually slightly abusive herself to these
women who were housekeepers. Wasn't he a part of American
idol in the early stages? Least Smokey Robinson like a
guest judge or something.
Speaker 12 (19:59):
Oh yeah, he he's always on the circuit, Like I mean,
he's eighty five and he's still working, so he's always
doing something.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
Lisa Big Book Club, we have to hit it again
this morning. It's tonight over the borders in Hartford, Connecticut.
Speaker 5 (20:12):
But I think you guys, we had breaking news on
this show from Caroline Kaepness because she has not talked
about this. She has a prequel coming out to the
U series, so she is not saying goodbye to Joe Goldberg.
And I knew she wouldn't because that kind of character
just stays with you, I think as a writer.
Speaker 4 (20:28):
Like she said, but yeah, a prequel.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
Yeah, yes, I have been squirreled away working on a
sort of trip back into young Joe that has been
very exciting because it is a hard character to let
go of and I wanted to see him in a
different time of his life and also go back to
like the early two thousands. So yes, there is more.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
You on the way and the show is still growing,
more than eleven million views in the last four days.
For you and your buddy buddy with the writer release.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
We're driving a Hartford together. It's a girl's road trip.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
You've got something going on tonight with the Red Jacket

Speaker 1 (21:03):
What's happening there.
Speaker 4 (21:04):
Red Jacket Resorts? Nicole Russo shout out to her.
Speaker 5 (21:07):

Red Jacket Resort and ninety plus sellers because they are
putting this on for us.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
My dining playbook show on Nesson, We're shooting at the

Speaker 1 (21:33):
What are the odds of that? Yeah? I love it.
My kids love Red Jacket.
Speaker 5 (21:36):
It's a great, love, great group of resorts down on
the Cape.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
All right, Hartford, Connecticut. Lisa's Book Club Tonight with Caroline Keptness.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
Hey, Tom, did you know Mother's Day? Is this Sunday?
Speaker 1 (22:14):

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Wilson Farm in Lexington is all about mom's You can

Oh, special desserts, unique gifts to pamper mom this weekend.
Just go to Wilson Farm or you could just go

from the Planet Fitness Kiss one o eight Studios, We're
back with Billy and Lisa in the morning. Hey guys,
welcome back. Quick shout out to Steve d.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Filipo and his staff at Davio's Restaurants. I was at
the fortieth anniversary bash last night at the Seaport Davio's.
What a credible party. Saw some cool people. Richie Bolsbaugh,
who invented GIS one o eight was there. I got
a chance to speak to him for a while. Josh Kraft,
who's running for mayor of Boston, was there. Said hello
to him. And you remember Ted Kats rubus producer here
(23:15):
on the morning.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
Show Kats Rubus Fruit.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
Yeah, Cats Rubus Fruit produces. Ted Katz Rubas says hello
to everybody here and Lisa, I guess gen zers have
another list of things. We can't say anymore.
Speaker 5 (23:27):
But it's interesting because it came out of a Coca
Cola marketing campaign. You have the Share a Coke campaign
that they used to have. Well, they're bringing it back.
So they did all of this research on what gen zers,
what they like, how they like to be, what they
like to be called. So because of this research, they
do not like the words chick, sugar, hun, muffin, those.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
Types of names.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
Babe.
Speaker 4 (23:50):
They don't want to be called babe.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
Okay, well, Billy's out the.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
Fat chicks that did Barracuda. I know we're not going there.
Although I'm going to say this, okay. I always get
a little weirded out when when a spouse refers to
his wife his baby.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
Hey, babe, you hate that old school? You know that's
old school? Is really old schools their wife muffin.
Speaker 4 (24:14):
I like sugar, though, I think sugar is sweet.
Speaker 5 (24:16):
Sugar is okay, I mean no put in time, but
I'm just saying like, I like that.
Speaker 4 (24:19):
I don't know, a little sugar on me is always
that's done. There's that too. Now do you want to
hear the names that they prefer.
Speaker 5 (24:27):
Yeah, here we go, okay, okay, friend by Queen, King Squad,
Shody ew sugar plum is okay, not not sugar sugar,
but sugar plum.
Speaker 4 (24:41):
And day one I don't.
Speaker 9 (24:42):
I don't know my day one. That means like from
the beginning, like.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
You're oh you're my day one?
Speaker 9 (24:47):
Yeah, okay, like like Lisa Bill is your day one?
Speaker 6 (24:50):
Did you've been here?
Speaker 15 (24:50):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (24:51):
Okay?
Speaker 7 (24:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (24:52):
Even locked in?
Speaker 1 (24:53):
Wait, okay, hold on day one? Hold on? So sugar
is not okay, but sugar plum is what sugar plum is?
What about sugar pie?
Speaker 4 (25:02):
I would be fine with that, Okay.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
Hey, sugar pie. That's so weird.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
It is so weird.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
Imagine if I yelled into the kitchen to my wife Michelle, Hey,
sugar pie.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
At me and my father called my mom growing up honeybee.
Oh honeybee, that was his nickname. Yeah, my wife and
I call each.
Speaker 9 (25:26):
Other Biff's so.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
But that's unique to us. That's not widely used. Michelle,
sweet cheets? Is that bad?
Speaker 2 (25:34):
No?
Speaker 4 (25:34):
I think it's great.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
Hey, sweet cheets? What does she say when you call
her that? I would never call her that? Are you kidding?
Speaker 2 (25:42):
Right?
Speaker 1 (25:42):
In the face. Wow. Okay, So Nohan Houn's out right,
sugar is out.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
Yeah, Muffin Muffin's out.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
Okay. What else is on the list?
Speaker 4 (25:52):
Bubba hon Bubba Babe?
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Wait, hold on, hold on, hold on, Bubba.
Speaker 4 (25:58):
Yep, Darling, sweetie. None of those. They don't want to Darling.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
Who says, oh, Darling, what time's dinner?
Speaker 2 (26:06):
Like?
Speaker 1 (26:07):
Darling? See, I'm holding on to it, Darling.
Speaker 5 (26:11):
Yeah. They prefer bro day one, bestie, clean, Bay, friend,
squad shoddy.
Speaker 9 (26:16):
If my boyfriend called me bro, I'm in the wrong relationship.
Speaker 6 (26:19):
Why are you calling you bro?
Speaker 1 (26:20):
I don't like that. That's what my wife does not like, Darling.
There was a thing I remember she told me that
that she's like when we got men call her darling?
What men are calling jen? Darling?
Speaker 4 (26:31):
Hey, Darling, Yeah, I see, I don't mind it.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Thank you, Darling.
Speaker 4 (26:34):
I think it's like I don't know about Hey. That's weird.
Speaker 6 (26:41):
This conversation.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
Well, we can't listen to Bill. How does that go down? Okay,
that's the last one of you listening to.
Speaker 12 (26:50):
I think Babe in moderation is cute, but like one
of my friends, her and her boyfriend, it's babe every
other word.
Speaker 6 (26:56):
I want to vomit.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
When I hear a guy call his significant another babe,
I instantly think he's running on her.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
I don't know why.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
I don't know how I make that connection. Right, It's okay,
he's up to something.
Speaker 6 (27:09):
Yeah, her name straight.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
Yeah, you don't want to confuse it, so just play
it safe.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
Yeah, that's kind of old school. I see that Angel
is on the list too. They don't like to be
called angel.
Speaker 6 (27:26):
These are weird names.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Muffin Yeah, I don't get the muffin thing.
Speaker 12 (27:31):
We're seeing on both sides, King and queen and like
bestie with your significant other, and then like muffin sugar plumb.
Speaker 5 (27:39):
I know there's one on the list, and I've never
heard of duck, Like, why would you call someone duck?
Speaker 2 (27:44):
I remember years ago women occasionally would call their husband ducky, Hey, ducky.
Speaker 6 (27:48):
Why?
Speaker 1 (27:49):
Yeah, I don't know, Lord knows, I haven't heard it
in forty years.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
You never heard it?
Speaker 2 (27:54):
Woah, by the way, mean Dickie, No, it says duck duck.
By the way, who says the gen z ors are
making the rules?
Speaker 5 (28:03):
Well, this is just for the Share a Coke campaign.
So Coke did like a big study on what people
would want, you know, names, you know, like as a
personalized keepsake thing.
Speaker 13 (28:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (28:13):
Yeah, so that's where it came.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
Okay, sugar by sugar. So justin, I think we broke
a record. We got like forty two thousand talkbacks this morning.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Well, we got our regular talkbacks about you know, anything
that we talk about, but topic time in particular, these
raal IDs. We got so many. We'll revisit all those
in the wrap up at nine forty, But for right now,

Speaker 4 (29:04):
That's so cool. I'm mixing it up.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
He never said where he's going. He did not no
leave us, not the one let us.
Speaker 13 (29:11):
Know, hey, from my first born eleven years old.

seen that.
Speaker 6 (29:56):

Speaker 4 (30:26):

Speaker 1 (30:32):
Right, you're talking about Karon Rechl Yeah, definitely. And just
a couple of minutes ago we had this list Lisa
found of the nicknames that gen Zers don't like to
call each other. There were so many, so like, apparently,
you know, they don't want to hear babe, but they
want to hear shorty. Kind of weird.
Speaker 9 (30:47):
How are you guys ignoring the one that's like crazy shoddy.
Speaker 7 (30:53):
I can't call you babe, hey babe, but I can
say hey, Shoty.
Speaker 6 (30:58):
You know.
Speaker 12 (31:01):
That's I think it's because Shoddy is an eeny me
I am a lover is justin Bieber from like, so,
if you're a gen Z, you grew up on that song.
Speaker 6 (31:09):

Speaker 1 (31:10):
Wait, it's Shorty's like shorty shoddy Shody?
Speaker 6 (31:14):
Is it shoty money?
Speaker 1 (31:16):
No, Shody is a girl like a short shorty Shoddy.
Speaker 6 (31:19):
I think that's why they like it, because it's like.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
Gho shut yeah thing. Yeah. I mean I didn't know that.
When I was growing up, we used to say shorty.
You say shorty, it's shoddy, but it's really shorty. But
it's listen list I'm wrong. You're not to be confused
with j shoddy shy.
Speaker 9 (31:38):
That's, by the way, what's coming.
Speaker 4 (31:42):

Speaker 1 (32:32):
It's dedication and Caroline Kepnist will be there. She is
the creator of the U series. And if you missed
it early, we played this couple of times. Some breaking
news that the U series we had around earlier and
eight ten is going to continue.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
Yes, I have been squirreled away working on a sort
of trips back into Young Joe that has been very
exciting because it is a hard character to let go of,
and I wanted to see him in a different time
of his life and also go back to like the
early twotho. So yes, there is more you on the way.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
Yeah we don't know what that was, but limage take
that with you next morning image. Yeah. Our topic time
this morning, which, by the way, we do it seven
forty every single day. We begin the conversation around seven fifteen,
seven to twenty and we give you a different topic
every day. Today was about the rail id Today's it
(33:48):
starts today, you know what I mean, And so people
wanted to talk about that.
Speaker 7 (33:52):
Good morning, beautiful morning people. This is Zena from Boston.
Just wanted to let you know that I saw a
picture of like one of the screens at the airport
a Logan Airport said that your TSA pre check privileges
might be denied or like you have to go through
extra security metric measures to be able to use TSA
(34:15):
pre check if you don't have real ID. So just
want to clarify that for everyone who might not have one.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
I would expect delays in some capacity.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
Yes, and confusion, yeah, a lot of confusion in and
around the airport.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Yeah. And listen, if you don't have a real ID,
you can go to the DMV or you can just
go to Triple A. We love Triple A, guys.
Speaker 16 (34:36):
I totally recommend if you do have Triple A to
go through Triple A.
Speaker 7 (34:40):
It's so much easier.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
You kind of get in and out.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
You do have to bring a lot of identification, but
it's so much easier and you don't have to wait
in those long lines.
Speaker 4 (34:51):
I make an appointment and all that.
Speaker 7 (34:53):
So, yeah, Triple A is the way to go, guys.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
All right, And I want to give a shout out
to Cindy Chesna, friend of the show. She sent me
a text during the conversation they were talking. There was
talk about social Security cards, whether you need it or not.
She brought a W two. That's all she needed, W
two because that has your social Security number on it. Okay, yeah,
but then everybody knows what you make.
Speaker 6 (35:18):
Okay, but you because you don't know what you may
what you know?
Speaker 9 (35:23):
I feel I don't care.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
You can no, don't tell her. And then for a
topic time we had Laurie. Laurie wanted to shame everybody
in and around Boston, New England. Everyone who listens to
kiss want to wait for not having a real ID
already seven years. Okay, thank your Laurie, thank you.
Speaker 12 (35:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
And Lauri needs a little bit of a hug.
Speaker 4 (35:43):
I think Mary needs a hug or a happy mel
calm down.
Speaker 15 (35:50):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
And finally we had a list earlier this hour about
the names gen Z. Gen zs don't like anymore. You know,
things like babe and han those are like, you know, outdated.
Speaker 4 (36:00):
Hello morning crew.
Speaker 11 (36:02):
I love your conversation about the gen Z names. I
think it's hilarious because I have three boys who are eight,
six and three and a half and I call them Darling,
Babe and Hun and Bubba. On a constant, especially Bubba.
Speaker 4 (36:20):
And they don't seem to mind it. I have a
great day.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
Yeah, you know.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
Growing up, my son Chris as to call Bubba.
Speaker 4 (36:27):
Well, you know what, if it's good for the kids,
why not.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Yeah, hey, Bubba, Hey Bubba.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
Why do we have to be dictated to every day
by someone?
Speaker 9 (36:37):
It was just Coke trying to get the right branding.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
Franch They were just staring a marketing study.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
Yeah, yeah, okay, Muffin and muff and also also you know,
it was on the list of names not to call
gen Zers. Angel.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
In the meantime, the Mighty One is coming through the doors.
Speaker 1 (36:50):
Let's let them in. Let's go
