Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's it been like like when you come home from
a national show, a really popular show like The Bachelor.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
What's it like when you get home to the neighborhood
and such.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Well, walking my dog has become different. You know, all
my neighbors see me and they'll come out and say, Hi,
just want to know all the tea, all of the
behind the scenes stuff. It's funny, we do too, Yeah,
but it's really like a whirlwind.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
You know.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
You take a couple of days to just decompress and
get back into, you know, your normal headspace, and you
try to just take it day by day honestly.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Now, do you have your own place here or are
you sleeping in your bedroom at your parents' house?

Speaker 5 (00:36):
I have my own apartment in Waltham with my roommate.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Yeah, don't give out the address, Gods do that.

Speaker 5 (00:42):
But it's been nice and I do. I go.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
It's really close to Newton, so I go to visit
my parents like every day.

Speaker 6 (00:47):
So when you are Grant are out together, do you
constantly get recognized? Now?

Speaker 5 (00:52):
Yes, for sure. He's hard to miss.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
So when we're together, it's like people are very excited
to see him, and then I'm kind of like there
with them.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
I'm like, hey, but do.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
You like getting recognized everywhere you go? I guess that's
part of the game, right.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
It's part of the game, for sure. It's taking It
has taken some getting used to. You know, I am
a bit of an awkward person, I think, just like
by nature, I'm kind of shy of it, so, you know,
but it's been really fun and it's really cool to
see the excitement of people and just kind of feel
like you're connected to them through this weird, strange event.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Now, what are I mean?

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Obviously we saw your family at the famous backyard party,
which everybody wanted to be there. It's just your family
seems like a very welcoming, very friendly, very cool family. Absolutely,
But what's the family conversation now that you're home? They
must have questions that they didn't want to ask when
they were on TV and such.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Yeah, you know, my family, I'm so blessed. My family
really cares about just me and you know, my headspace,
and so every day they're checking in, you know, how's
your head, how's your heart? Like those types of questions,
and you know, I think the priority for them is
that I'm happy and that I feel like good in
what's happening? So, you know, they wanted to know a

(02:13):
little bit more about Grant. They had a couple questions about,
you know, what he does for his day to day job,
like does he how close is he with his family,
like those types of things, and even my dad and
his dad talk a lot, and my mom and his
mom talk a lot.

Speaker 5 (02:30):
I talked to his sister Taylor quite a bit. So
it's it's nice, yeah, really good.

Speaker 6 (02:36):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I would ask I want to ask
a question. When you guys were done filming and you
knew that you guys were together.

Speaker 5 (02:43):
Yeah, where did you meet up?

Speaker 6 (02:44):
Like how did you keep it a secret?

Speaker 3 (02:47):
So they they will let us get together in LA
every couple of weeks, and you're really kind of just
in a house hanging out alone.

Speaker 5 (02:58):
You don't leave, you don't, you know, have any connection
to the outside world.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Again, so it's an unconventional way to I don't know,
stay connected because personally I prefer just facetiming him every day,
waiting till we can be in the public.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
But that's kind of how that goes.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
You meet up every like two or three weeks out
in LA and just spend like a weekend together, you
arrive separately.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Yes, Now, Juliana, if you look directly across from you
in the studio, you'll notice I'm sure you've been wondering,
why is there a young teenage boy sitting in the
studio at a microphone. I'm guessing you probably wondered, right, Yeah,
tell me about that. Riley Dunovan happened to be Lisa
Dunovan's son. Yeah, but here's the story. Since he was

(03:44):
nine years old, he has been a dedicated fan of
the show The Bachelor, so much so that once a week,
the morning after the episode, Riley comes on and breaks.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
It all down. That's correct, So awesome, Riley. Do you
have questions for Juliana?

Speaker 4 (03:58):
Yes, I have a lot.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
This is super Bowl, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
I mean Boston. This is crazy, Like this is this
is so surreal to have a winner from Boston.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
First of all.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
But first of all, I'd like to say, because I've
been thinking all season, I'm like, you know, from the
first episode, when you know girls start obviously kissing.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
Grant, It's like, yeah, what does his breath smell like?

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Was it good, like a wave of heat that like
just like moves over you, or is it just is
it good?

Speaker 5 (04:27):
It was very good.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
You know.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
I think that the team does a really good job
of also having like mints, and.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
So it was really good. He is good breath.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
Yeah, that's good.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
And let me just write that down. Grant has very
good breath.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
That's good.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
I can relax now.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
That's good.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
That was my That was my that was my hot question.
So as we went throughout the season, I noticed like
as we got through, like more of the women who
like just seemed like less like interest at the beginning
just sort of fell off and it's more of like
more interest as you get later in the season. So, like,

(05:08):
I know that a lot of the women were like, oh,
I absolutely love this guy after like three episodes in
which is like I'm assuming like three weeks or so.
It's like, what happens to those women? Are they like,
are they forced to like play along with the game
in reality when they're like, oh I can't. I just
couldn't see this working.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
Well, you know, I think that there's so many different
ways you could go about this process, right, you'd want
to be true to yourself, But I think ultimately, you
know you're on the Bachelor, you know there's other women involved,
it's kind of how fast do you want to let
your guard down to have that connection with him? Versus
what I kind of did was kind of just was like, yeah,

(05:47):
I like him, but like, you know, I'm not sure
I need to spend more time with him to really
get to know him. And I think some of the
girls did that as well, and then they were like,
the minimal amount of time that you really get to
spend with him in the beginning unless you get one
on ones, it's hard to really like find that true
connection of the possibility of being in love or engaged
at the end of it. So at some point, I

(06:09):
think some of the girls are like, eh, like this
is not for me. I'm not gonna get enough time.
I've got to go, and they're just like kind of
playing the game at that point. And then some girls
are like, oh no, I want to be here till
the end. I'm gonna let my guard down and let
him into every aspect of me and just keep my
fingers crossed.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Well, it is an unusual process, super unusual. So the
moment you felt you loved Grant, yeah, was it hard
to listen to the other remaining women talking about their
relationships with Grant.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
For some reason, it wasn't hard for me because I
think it took me a really long time to even
like acknowledge that within my own head and then verbalize
it to him. But at the same time, I just
always knew, like we are on the Bachelor, there are
other girls, like, I'm gonna protect myself, and I did
try and like get some information from girls, like where

(07:02):
are you at with him, you know, to help myself out.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
I was so impressed that you stayed out of the drama. Yeah,
was that hard to do?

Speaker 3 (07:11):
You know, there really wasn't too much drama. I really
had such a good experience with a lot of the girls.
Of course, there was the one situation where I did
my best to like have a non confrontational conversation, and
you know, however it turned and was portrayed like it's
not up to me.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
But it really wasn't that hard.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
I was kind of just really friendly with everybody and
they were really respectful.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
So now we heard Grant is moving here.

Speaker 5 (07:39):
Yes, it's that accurate, Yes it is.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Have you found a place yet together or are you looking?

Speaker 3 (07:45):
Or we actually have Mike Eve's fabulous wife, Kelsey.

Speaker 5 (07:49):
She's going to be helping us out. Yes, yeah, yes,
we've been. Yes, she is, and so we've just been
kind of chit chatting with her. Nothing.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
We don't have like a time frame nes necessarily for it,
because we have so much travel coming up in the
next couple of months that, you know, want we want
to make it make sense when we like, pick a
place and they're paying, you know.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Is there an area or town you've got your mind off.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
We're really open to anything.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
You know.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
I would love to be in the city, but I'm
also not opposed to being outside of the city because
that's where I am now and it's easy to go
in and.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
Out for work. So I'm really up for whatever makes
the most sense.
