Speaker 1 (00:00):
It seems like they've got a survey or a list
for almost anything. Now they've decided to vote the most
relaxed cities.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Yes, the most relaxed based on what cities based on
how affordable housing is, how long a workday lasts on average,
how high the rates of depression are, what the life
expectancy is, how easy it is to access mental health
care providers. So all of those things went into this list.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Is Malden on the list.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Malden is not on the list. I wouldn't expect now,
but I have to say six out of the ten
cities are all in California.
Speaker 4 (00:33):
Well that makes sense, sunny California, right, yeah, Well they're
very laid back.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Well obviously, so we'll start with number ten is San Mateo, California.
Number nine is Redwood City, California. Carmel, Indiana. Eight San Ramon,
California's number seven. Now this is where it gets interesting
because two on the list now are in Massachusetts. Number six,
drum roll, please, is your birthplace, Bill Costa, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
(01:01):
One of the most relaxed in the count in the
whole country.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
They're all hippies, right, yeah, a bunch of college kids
they're chilling. Yeah, I'm not worried about anything in Camberg,
you know.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
I mean anytime someone that complains or like you know,
gets bill and mad, he's like, there must be from
Cambridge's true.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
Yeah, it's an odd town.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
So then the next one is Naperville, Illinois. And then
we've got three in California Millippitis. I hope that's how
you say, Santa Clara.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Sunny the millipedes come from.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Yes. So number one on the list is in Massachusetts.
Can anyone guess what city in Massachusetts the most most
relaxed in the entire country?
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Lawrence, somewhere where they have a lot of weed.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
Where's all all the weed? Like north like Northampton or something?
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Newton?
Speaker 2 (01:56):
You got it?
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Newton.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
Everybody's like, where are from?
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Boston?
Speaker 4 (01:59):
Are you?
Speaker 5 (01:59):
And I'm like the.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Eat Newton, Newton, Massachusetts the number one most relaxed, number
one most relaxed city in the US.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
I like Newton. I think it's pretty. I think it's
obviously a little bit more of a higher end ZIP code,
so it's high end in a sense. But like, does
that mean you're relaxed? Aren't you stressed about bills and stuff?
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Well, aren't there like several talents and not so much
towns like within Newton, village, village.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
Yeah, you're if you're from Newton, let me know, are
you relaxed?
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Right?
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:30):
If there's anybody from Newton listening, and you know, if
you live, if you live there, leave it a talk.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
I would feel they would be so stressed out living
there seems so expensive.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
There's an employee here that works, I mean that lives
in Newton and I was asking him about asking them
about it one time and he said that that he goes,
oh yeah, I live in the poor section.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Oh well, yeah, I don't know what section that is.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
Technically like there's like because technically like BC is technically Newton,
right Hill, isn't Chestnut Hill technically new Yeah?
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Yeah, so I mean there's.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
Some college college life over there.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
But well, my question is what do you know you relaxed?
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Like?
Speaker 1 (03:10):
And if people don't know if they're relaxed, how did
the people doing the survey know who's the most relaxed.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Well, we need to talk to somebody who lives in
Newton and ask if they think they're relaxed or if
they think the people that live there are relaxed.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Well, Lisa, you're sitting there. Do you feel like you're
relaxed in Milton?
Speaker 2 (03:26):
God, No, I am a stress ball, but she's Newton.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
Oh we have people calling, all right, give me a second,
nip them on the line.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
But I don't know.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
I just I love. I think Newton's beautiful. Town's beautiful, and.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
It's and it's located. It's close to the city, but
you still have a lot of green space.
Speaker 4 (03:44):
And know I said, you're one twenty eighth right convenient.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
There is you know the MBTA goes right through Newton.
I don't.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
So there's how.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Relaxed on the MBTA to be stressed?
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Oh we have we have someone from Newton on the
phone line.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
One Mantha, Hello, are you from Newton?
Speaker 5 (04:03):
Yes? I am.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Do you feel relaxed, relaxed?
Speaker 5 (04:08):
I have very uptight neighbors that will moan and b
I t h about everything, everything.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
And when I think Newton, I think uptight, ning, I think,
and I think a lot of a mortgage.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
I feel like your mortgage must be very high.
Speaker 5 (04:22):
It's very high. The taxes are out of out of,
out of the roof.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
But the school system's good there.
Speaker 5 (04:28):
I've always heard yeah, it's it's been number one in
the past. God only knows, but yeah, it looks so
stressful there.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
So anything relaxing in for you? Is there anything else
do you like about Newton's screen space?
Speaker 5 (04:41):
I do think that, not that I would, but if
you left your car and locked, you're most likely not
going to get robbed. But now that I've put that
out there, probably you could have converged on Newton. But
it's trustworthy. I don't leave my car and locked, but
I've heard of people doing that and they never they
could leave their wallet on their dash.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
I love Samantha, So here we go. We have a
national survey that's naming her town, Newton, the most relaxed
in the entire country, and Samantha says she's never been
relaxed a moment in her life.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
There's a whole line and homes stress of people that
are not relaxed either. So, oh, God, taking you know what, Samantha,
Try to relax, Try to relax.
Speaker 5 (05:21):
That is massage will come you down.
