So we're waiting on Darryl from Run DMC. Daryl is
DMC and he's got this rock Bottom the musical happening.
Actually he's teamed up with Ernie Bark, our buddy Ernie Bark.
But this is a cool event and he's in town
talking about it. But justin it's also part of National
Recovery Month, right.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Yeah, DMC is in recovery like myself, so he's celebrating that.
Of course September is National Recovery Month. And yeah, this
this musical rock Bottom, it's a really cool thing. It's
you know, DMC, a bunch of rock legends, a lot
from Boston that putting this thing together. That's why he's
in town is to record this musical. Well, you know
it's funny.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Tommy Hamilton, who's the bass player in Aerosmith, is also
a part of the musical and Run DMC and Aerosmith collaborated.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
They bridged the gap literally between hip hop music. Let's
go it's amazing. Yeah, oh god, Run DMC so so
many hits, I mean they're pioneers of hip hop.

Speaker 10 (06:15):
Yeah to call me sire.

Speaker 11 (06:27):
Correct.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Yeah, it all kind of started with absolutely groundbreaking.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Yeah, and how about this. Yesterday d m C received
a proclamation from the City of Boston for his work
in the adduction addiction world. And he was the keynote
speaker on City Hall Plaza and you were last week.
I was too. I was out there with Power of Recovery.
Much smaller event, but doesn't matter.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
It's about recovery. It's the message.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
About addiction in that recovery as possible and that anybody
you know can get clean, clean up their lives and
live a better life. And that's what he's all about.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
And you know what else is cool about this music
is it's not only a Darryl and we said, Tommy
Hamilton from Aerosmith, but Simon Kirk from Bad Company and
Tony v one of our longtime friends, one of the
funniest guys on the planet, is a part of it.
And you know who else is in the lineup for
rock Bottom the musical. Josh Canter, the organist at Fenway

(07:27):
Park for your Boston Red Sox.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
I've seen videos of him and what he does. Oh yeah,
he's got quite the setup. I thought I had a
good setup. He's got quite the setup there. Wow, bad company.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Huh, bad company.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
I believe Simon is being inducted into the Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame in November.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Too, really a new inductee. Yeah, well, can we get
some bad company?

my buddy Jukie. But the Catalina I had costs headphones.
You're ready for this, justin Yeah, costs headphones in every
seat in the car. It's a giant car on Catalina.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
You're even in the back seat.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Oh yeah, you put the costs headphones on it. Blast
Pink Floyd or something.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
That's like so like.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
It took us back right there. You know Daryl would
appreciate it with the costs headphones.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Oh, he would know, you know, he would know what
I mean. Think about this guy's career. I mean, think
about it. The early eighties hip hop yillionaires, the arrow Smith,
Oh got legends.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
And I happen to know some behind the scenes.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
He's here, Hold on, hold on, he's walking in headphones
on Darryl, come on there.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Yeah, you can't be sir, you must rocket tell time.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
That is so cool, coolest cookies in a universe. Now,
is it a healthy cookie?

Speaker 10 (09:46):
I mean it's it's a regular cookie, but it's no preservatives.
Oh yeah, I'm not saying this because they might. They're
the best tasting cookies ever.

Speaker 1 (09:58):

Speaker 11 (11:59):
Yes, it was really cool for a really good reason.

Speaker 10 (12:03):
Working with Tony V Yeah from Boston, Woody G from
Boston and a good friend of mine, Simon Kirk from
Free and Bad Company. We're doing a musical about sobriety
and recovery an addiction.

Speaker 1 (12:23):

for a.

Speaker 10 (13:09):
Yeah, Tom Harrelsmith, my friend from Errol's really nice guy.
Oh we changed the world when Run DMC did Walk
This Way.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
We got it for you right here.

Speaker 10 (13:20):
Let me shut out the Tom the bomb Hambleton.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Yeah that's right.

Speaker 11 (13:26):
Yeah, those guys are so so cool.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
Man.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Take us back to that moment when that was all
put together between you and raw because it was groundbreaking.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (13:36):
Originally me and Running Shay was just gonna steal, I
mean sample, He's just gonna steal I mean sample their music.

Speaker 11 (13:44):
Yeah, and it was gonna be their music.

Speaker 10 (13:46):
You know, the drums and the guitar in a loop
and me and Ron was gonna be rhyming because it
was eighty We came out in eighty three, so it's
eighty six, now eighty four.

Speaker 11 (13:56):
We did rock Box. See Walk This Way wasn't the
first rock rap record. It's a tongue twister.

Speaker 10 (14:03):
The first rock rap record was rock Box, which was
the first rap video on MTV eighty four. Then in
eighty five we did an album called.

Speaker 11 (14:12):
The King of rock. We did a video for MTV
with Larry Budd Melman. Oh yeah, show at the front
door of a rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Speaker 10 (14:22):
Museum that didn't even exist yet because it didn't start
till eighty six. And remember Larry Budd was, you, guys
can't come in here.

Speaker 11 (14:30):
This is a rock and roll museum. And then we
went in and ruined Larry Mudd.

Speaker 10 (14:34):
Now yeah, So then we was gonna sample their music,
and I remember that it was gonna be there being
I would be like, I'm DMC in a place to
be been rming on a mic since eighty three. I'm
the best MC in history. There will never be an
MC better than me. And then Run was supposed to
going out DJ run here to get it done.

Speaker 11 (14:54):
Typical Run the MC stuff.

Speaker 10 (14:56):
We was working with a producer named Rick Rubin, Oh,
and Rick Coles.

Speaker 11 (15:01):
You know how Rick talks, Hey, guys, you should do
the record over.

Speaker 10 (15:06):
So Me and Run was thinking from a limited hip
hop perspective, we're gonna sample it, We're gonna rhyme on it,
but Rick said, no, do it over the way the
band originally did it. So at first Me and Run
was again said jam Master Jay rest in peace.

Speaker 11 (15:19):
He was like, yo, that's a great idea whatever whatever.

Speaker 10 (15:22):
So while me and Run was learning the song the
way Aerosmith easily did it, Rick did something phenomenal. He
called Boston when Aerosmith was here. You know, I take
compound working on that album with dude looks like a lady,
and they was already doing it, but there was no
way for them to come back. Like my joke is,

(15:44):
they could have made a record with God, Jesus and
Moses and.

Speaker 11 (15:47):
Nobody would have cared.

Speaker 10 (15:49):
So Rick caused them and says this, Hey, guys, my
name is Rick Rubin. I know you know who Run
DMC is. We want to do your record over do
you want to do it? So they was like, what
who's this? My name is Rick, when I know you
know who one DMC is, we want to do your
radio and Steve and Joe and the band was yo.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
So where did you and Arrowsmith perform it together live.

Speaker 11 (16:14):
The first time?

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Oh? Man, I don't even remember, yeah.

Speaker 11 (16:19):
But I remember his hip to add to that. So
they was with it. It was cool.

Speaker 10 (16:24):
But Rick did something else phenomenal. He put us in
the studio with him together now and the reason why
this is important is you know, hip hop didn't create anything,
It recreated everything. So the typical mode of operation was
to sample somebody's else's music in rome over. So Rick
said no due the record over the way they did it.

(16:46):
But it was brilliant that Rick put us with them
because put it like this, the version your heir would it,
just the version your hand now wouldn't have been that virgin.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
It would have just been me and Ryan doing it and.

Speaker 10 (17:00):
We would be sitting here and just going, oh, I
remember your sample aerospift. But the fact that we did
it with them. I've been around the world everywhere since
eighty six. I could go to somewhere I've never been tomorrow,
and people say this DMC. Don't you know when Steven
Tyler took that MC stand and knocked down that wall
that was separating d.

Speaker 11 (17:18):
In the video, It didn't just happen.

Speaker 10 (17:20):
In the video. It happened in the world. So by
us coming together to you know, you was channel surfing.
Are you just like, what the hell is Aerosmith doing
with Rundi MC and our fans who you know?

Speaker 11 (17:32):
We know rock.

Speaker 10 (17:33):
Beats from sampoos and all the music we stole when they.

Speaker 11 (17:36):
Got on MTV. They was like, what the hell is
run DMC doing with the Rolling Stone?

Speaker 1 (17:40):
There you go, and it was like, no, it's not
the Rolling.

Speaker 11 (17:42):
Stones, it's Aerosmith. And they got the song called Walk
This Way and Running DMC.

Speaker 10 (17:45):
Did it with Joe Berry and this and that and
it didn't just change music changed every should I gotta
make this announcement all right? January twentieth. New song is
called she Gets Me High.

Speaker 11 (17:58):
Dig this.

Speaker 10 (18:00):
I'm seeing Sebastian Bach on vocals, Travis Barker on trums,
Mick marsh for Motley Crung guitar, and Jeff mckagey from
Guns N' Roses on bass. January twenty If she Gets
Me High, Yes, music is about to get fun again.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
That's a jam right there. Darn nasht of luck to you.
They have a ball tonight with the rock bottom of
the musical. Great to see you, Thank you.

Speaker 4 (22:39):
And then who can forget Billy's favorite song of all
time one of them.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
Underwear And yeah, that's a jam.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
That's such a jam. You can't play that enough. Rihanna
and Asap, Rocky had the baby. It's a baby girl
named Iris. It's Irish, Irish. Didn't correct you, but okay,
we're coming for you.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
It's actually Rocky Irish. Yeah, there's three hours now. It's
it's our Riza Riot and Rocky.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
You know you could have corrected me the first time around,
and that would have prevented the talks aftergot It's actually
my fault. I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
I knew it too, but I want to say you
did too.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Yeah, all the Rihanna fans were all.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
I was like, Iris is cute too, Well, it should.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
Always be Irish to me. Okay, it's Irish.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Yeah, rocky Irish.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
Okay, it's fine Irish.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
Hey Billy, it's Rihanna. Why don't you go ahead and
put my record on? And it's not it's Rihanna, not Rihanna.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
I said Rihanna.

Speaker 11 (23:38):
No, I know.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
I'm just saying, oh yeah, I don't say Rihanna right,
which is another story. Okay, it was Rihanna for years,
It'sna and then all of a sudden, what are you
saying it's not Rihanna, it's Rihanna. Well, let me hear this.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Hold on, hey billy, it's Rihanna. Why don't you go ahead?
And it kind of sounds like she's saying it right,
she's saying Rihanna.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
It's well she said it wrong or whatever she said
it Rihanna for years. Just put our record on, dude, Yeah,
I'll play your record when I get around to it. Okay,
we're very busy here. We've got jingle ball tickets we've
got to throw out this morning. Okay, Rihanna. See now
you've got me going God, all three of you Cam

(24:16):
Kneel Irish, I know now, I know it's Irish. Iris
would have been much better. That's a Googoo doll song.
It is, yes, and then she would have had her
own song. Oh yeah, that's true. Cam Neely on ready,
hold on, let me do this real quick.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
Hey Billy, it's Rihanna.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
Why don't you go ahead and put my record off?

Speaker 4 (24:35):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (24:41):
From the Planet Fitness Kiss, one of eight studios. We're
back with Billy and Lisa.

Speaker 10 (24:46):
In the morning.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
So tomorrow morning at seven fifteen, we will announce jingle
Ball twenty twenty five at the TV Garden. It's likely
we'll sell out in about two minutes. But right now
we've got a pair of tickets for jingle Ball twenty
twenty five. Holler twenty five six seven nine eight. You'll
need a keyword, and the keyword is bad to the bone.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
Bad the bone.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
The oh yeah, and bad to the bone is the
keyword because we have Cam Neely from your Boston Bruins
on the phone.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
Cam you there, buddy, I am Billy. I see what
you did there, you know, and.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
That's smooth, buddy, Come on, I'm great. Cam. Now became
your theme song is it still your theme song.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
I don't have a theme song.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
You know, they should play that time ago as well. Okay,
but I'm just saying, when you walk into the luxury suite,
the Presidential Suite at the TD Garden before the game,
they should play Bad to the Bone and then you
wave to everybody.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
That's not a bad idea.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Here we go again, Buddy comics come home. How many
years is this?

Speaker 3 (26:01):
This is twenty nine. We lost a couple during the
COVID years, but this is twenty nine, which is kind
of crazy if you think about it.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
And it's really a beautiful story. I was there at
the beginning. It's a beautiful story how it was born.
We get new listeners to the show every day. Cam,
Can you briefly tell us the story how I was born?
The foundation.

Speaker 3 (26:26):
Yeah, So just before I got traded, my father was
having seizures. This is April of eighty six. He started
having cazars. I got traded in June and subsequently found
out he had a brain tumor. And then while my
dad was going through that, my mother wasn't well and
ended up having cancer of the secum, which is part

(26:47):
of the colon. So you know, as a professional athlete,
you get asked to do a lot of charitable things,
and I was like, Okay, if I'm going to give
my time, I want to make it more meaningful. So
I got involved with more cancer to charities and then
I said, well, as a family member of a cancer patient,
I kind of saw some things that were needed for today.

(27:08):
I'm a big believer in research obviously, but I noticed
that there was a gap to be able to help
pat patients and families today. So while playing in Vancouver,
the Canucks were heavily associated with the Ronald McDonald House,
and I really liked that concept. So I, long story short,
ended up connecting with Tufts Medical Center at the time

(27:31):
New England Medical Center and they said, well, we have
a vacant wing. If you want to renovate that, you're
welcome to do so. And that was the birth of
the Neely House and memory of my parents. That's really
to help cancer patients and families and we've had, you know,
since it's open, we've had over forty thousand families. It

(27:55):
really is. I mean, it just gives you an idea
of the need for a facility like head and you know,
we're very blessed with the support we've got. As I've
said many times, most everybody's been touched by a cancer
in one way, shape or form.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Well as it happens. Cam, I lost my dad to
a brain tumor. But it's amazing when you've seen the
Neely House and the foundation grow. I mean you really
see your money at work. And now we've got comics
come Home. It's happening again November eighth. And I know
Dennis Leary traditionally kicks off the show and it's one
of the highlights every single year. I always wanted to

(28:29):
ask you, Cam, when does he start rehearsing that?

Speaker 3 (28:34):
Oh, I mean he does our event in Michael J.
Fox's event, and you know he hosts both of them
and they're a week apart. What I do know is
that he starts, you know, not long after both events
are done. You know, he starts cultivating ideas and how
he's going to kick off each each event. But with
the comedy show, I know he works on it probably

(28:56):
eight months leading up to and then really fun. You know,
his schedule is crazy right now, he's he's in Ireland
shooting a series, so you know, I give him all
the credit in the world for not only not only
putting putting the show on and kicking it off, but
inviting all the comics that have come over all these years,

(29:19):
and gratefully they have donated their time, which also is
a huge benefit to the foundations.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
And let's not forget Dennis Leary is also an outstanding actor.
I mean everything he's in, he's really good. And you've
got an outstanding lineup. Sebastian Menacecalco is coming. Is this
his first time in comics come Home?

Speaker 3 (29:37):
Yes, it is, And we thought we might have had
him a couple of years ago, but his schedule didn't permit.
He said, believe me, it'll be back, and he was
true to his words. So anybody that knows his comedy,
it's it's gold. So we're very excited to have Sebastian
this year.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
And I can't remember if you've had Sarah Silverman before.
She's hilarious.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
Oh, she's all right. It came early on in uh
in our benefit. I don't know what year it was,
but it was early on and we're thrilled to have
her back. She is the right.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
Yeah, I got to tell you. The Morning Show, the
entire Morning Show goes every single year, and Lisa am
I lying. We just laugh one minute to the next.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
It's our favorite event of the whole year.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
Well, it's you know, the beauty of it is, you know,
everybody's going through something in life, right, and you know,
the last bunch of years has been very, very toxic.
If you if you will and to be able to
be able to you know, whether you're dealing with someone
that's not feeling well or ill or or whatever's going
on in your life, you can go to go to

(30:40):
this event and help raise money, but also laugh your
butt out for a couple of hours. It's not a
bad not a bad way to spend an evening.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
You know, You're right, Kim, if you're feeling down, something's
going on with the family, why not go to one
of the best comedy events of the entire year. And
it's always at the TD Garden. Although it didn't start
there or did it, Cam No.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
I mean, you know, initially I'd asked Dennis would you
do a benefit for the foundation. I thought it was
just going to be him doing an hour set and
you know, we'll raise some money. And he said, listen,
I'm going to invite Thomas Come Home was really about
a lot of local comedians, you know, got their start
here in Boston, whether they're from Boston or in Massachusetts.

(31:22):
But you know, there's as you know, Bill, there was
a lot of great comedy houses in Boston area. So
we started the orphiuan was twenty five hundred seats when
we sold out right away. We kept selling out. Then
people kept asking, you know, can you put me on
a waiting list? I want to go. Yeah. Then we
went to the Aganist Arena and I think it was
six or seven thousand feets and then Dennis, as we

(31:46):
were approaching our twenty at Dennis goes, do you think
we can get the garden? I said, well, I'm fairly
certain we can get the garden, But do you think
we can sell it out? He goes, I know we
can sell it out.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
Yeah, you've got some connections at that garden. Speaking of
the garden, cam my son, Chris's company I think is
right above your office in the garden for card vaults
by Tom Brady.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
Oh yeah, yeah, right the Verizon tower there.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
Yeah, you know, Cam, it wouldn't kill you to drop by,
knock on the door and say hi, Chris, because let's
not forget when my son Chris was born. You were
the first person to visit and I was so close
to naming him Cam And I'm not even making that.
How could he possibly.

Speaker 3 (32:28):
Remember that day like it was yesterday. It's crazy how
long ago that was, Billy.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
Well, Cam always a pleasure. We can't wait for comics
to come home. It's November eighth. Where do they go
for tickets?

Speaker 3 (32:38):
Cam?

Speaker 1 (32:38):
They're going to go fast?

Speaker 3 (32:40):
Yeah, ticketmaster dot com. I mean there's they have done fast.
So if you're interested in going and supporting a great
cause and having a great night of last go to
ticketmaster dot com.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
Ah I Cam loved Pauline and the kids.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
All right, sounds good, thanks Billy. See.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
Okay, let's go to Jackie. She's in walp paul Jackie,
you there, been here? All right? Jackie? You half the battle?
Your collar twenty five? What's the keyword?

Speaker 3 (33:07):
Bad to the bone?

Speaker 1 (33:08):
Bad to the bone. And now Jackie, we're going to
see you at jingle Ball.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
Oh my gosh, thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (33:16):

and keeping us informed.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
Of course, Wow, well thank you.

Speaker 4 (34:09):
That feels so good. Yeah, I mentioned that earlier. You know,
so many people move out of here, maybe they get
a job somewhere or just move away from Boston, but
they still want a piece of here. They still want
to know what's going on in news entertainment locally.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
You can always take us with us, no matter whether
you no matter where you're going.

Speaker 4 (34:26):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we love you guys. Well, there's one issue.
Lisa's now fighting with one of our listeners. Yeah, do
you hear about this one?

Speaker 6 (34:33):
Well, Lisa and I are fighting.

Speaker 9 (34:36):
I just moved to North Carolina and Lisa has the
audacity to have Patricia Cronwell as an author for her
book club. Way to go, good timing, Lisa, friendship over.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
Well, you know the good thing is is that you
can watch it on the Kissinawait facebook page to stream
at the Q and A with Patricia Cornwell October six.

Speaker 4 (34:59):
Yes, you could fly up. Yes, at least have just
had a book club in Tampa and people flew down there.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
Lynn back followay down to Tampa. Yeah, that was so cool.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
Yep, yep.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
If you missed the secret sound this morning, there's some drama.
Of course, there always is a lot of money up
for grabs. They keep guessing the same thing over and
over again, even after we say it over and over again.
To look at the incorrect guesses on Injury Money's Instagram
listen so you don't repeat the guesses and what do
you know, the paper shredder.

Speaker 6 (35:26):
At that moment that she said paper shredder. Did you
hear all of us people who are regular listeners that
know the secret sound, like drop their head in their
hands and just like cry a little bit, shed up Tearugh,
this is painful, truly.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (35:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (35:48):
The current jackpot sits at six thousand, five hundred and
twelve dollars. You can take your shot again at two
ten and four ten, and a reminder that McCabe will
play the sound for you to get ready for two

Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 4 (36:12):
All right, here we go. People are going nuts over
the secret sound. It just keeps rising. The jackpot goes
up one and eight dollars every time there's an incorrect guess.
The current guests right now for this sound that nobody
can figure out is six thousand, five hundred and twelve dollars.

Speaker 6 (36:28):
Guys, I have been listening to you my entire life,
calling in for every contest, doing every ticket tag, and
I have never.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
Ever gotten through.

Speaker 6 (36:39):
I even use two phones at the same time. Is
there any way, any tiss for getting through to kiss
one oweight?

Speaker 10 (36:49):
I know.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
The secret sound just weird. It sounded like she had
a secret sound in the background.

Speaker 4 (36:54):
Where was the ring? She's probably driving to work, Yeah,
her windshield wipers. Yeah, it's very hard to get through.
We have a few lines. How many listeners do We
have a lot, many, many, many many, So just keep trying.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
You never know.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
And that's why people get so aggravated that the same
guest is keep.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
Getting picked because frustrating.

Speaker 4 (37:11):
It's so hard to get through, you know, So six
and twelve dollars. McKay will play the sound again at
twelve ten so you hear it. Two ten, you can
play again, and if it's incorrect, it goes up one
and eight dollars.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
It just keeps growing.

Speaker 4 (37:25):
Crazy topic time this morning was for National one Hit
Wonder Day. Yeah, this was a really fun one. Make
sure you check it out. No oh yeah, okay, sorry
I had a little brain fart. There so many songs
we played on the air that were fun that we
you know, reminisced on Riley knows what.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
I'm talking about. It's behind the scenes.

Speaker 4 (37:46):
I was gonna take to listen to the podcast, but
we can't play music on the podcast.

Speaker 1 (37:49):
No, we can't. Yeah, I'll just say it.

Speaker 11 (37:50):
It sucks.

Speaker 4 (37:51):
And we had the question there about Daniel Bettingfield, whether
he was Natasha Bettingfield's sister the other I mean, yeah.

Speaker 15 (37:59):
Yeah, Daniel bedding Killed is Natasha's brother. He was actually
a singer before her. And cool fact he actually funded
his entire first album, which had that song in his
bedroom and recorded the whole thing in his bedroom himself.

Speaker 11 (38:15):
Look it up.

Speaker 15 (38:16):
I used to be obsessed with his music.

Speaker 4 (38:18):
Wow, how cool is that?

Speaker 2 (38:20):
Honey music?

Speaker 1 (38:20):
And I remember the name Daniel bending Field too. It
was nineties.

Speaker 4 (38:24):
He had a song called Gotta Get Through This. Of
course Natasha had unwritten. She did several of our shows
before my time, so I don't know if it was
kisconcert or jingle Ball both.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Yeah, I'm not sure.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
She's a big friend of the radio station, big friend.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (38:35):
Hey, this is Natasha Beddingfield and I'm hanging with the
incredibly sexy Billy Costa Take Me Away Billy Casson.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
Yes, there she goes, there she is.

Speaker 4 (38:45):
Def We had a legend in the studio today, Darryl
from run DMC d MC in here.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
He's in town.

Speaker 4 (38:52):
He got a proclamation from the City of Boston last
night for his work in addiction. He'll be doing a
cool musical event. That's why he's here with a bunch
of rock legends, one of which is Tom Hamilton from Arrowsmith.

Speaker 3 (39:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (39:04):
You might remember they had walked this Way, which was
like one of the first rock rap collaborations, and he
kind of broke that down, like getting Arrowsmith working with them, the.

Speaker 11 (39:13):
Fact that we did it with them.

Speaker 10 (39:15):
Yeah, I've been around the world everywhere since eighty six.
I could go to somewhere i've never been tomorrow, And
people say this, DMC, don't you know when Steven Tyler
took that might stand and knock down that wall.

Speaker 11 (39:26):
That was separating in the video. It didn't just happened
in the video. It happened in the world.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
Yeah, I have to tell you I still remember that
as a little girl, that video.

Speaker 4 (39:34):
Oh yeah, oh yeah I do too. It's iconic, Yeah, iconic.

Speaker 11 (39:38):
Oh.

Speaker 6 (39:38):
That DMC interview had made me so happy this morning.

Speaker 14 (39:42):
I cannot wait to try these cookies. Christmas and Hollis
is one of my favorite Christmas songs.

Speaker 6 (39:48):
I can't wait to hear the news song though that's gonna.

Speaker 4 (39:50):

can hear the sound at twelve ten. And again the
big change this morning.

Speaker 1 (40:18):
I was handed an envelope and after every wrong answer,
now instead of one hundred and eight dollars, it'll go
up one thousands and one hundred eight dollars. That's big news. Anyway,
we got to get out of the way because the
Mighty one, you know, he gets a little anxious. I mean,
he's really got nothing else to do.

Speaker 4 (40:33):
It's okay, well he's you know what, he's busy working
non stop for the shingle ball announcement. Oh yeah, like
like NonStop. I can't even get him on the phone
really yeah, because he's on the air at ten. But
he does a lot of stuff behind the scenes, so
God forbid he returns my text. Okay, anyway, tomorrow morning,
seven fifteen, the jingle ball.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
You know what the cave. Just hand us the sheet
will handle it in the morning.

Speaker 4 (40:58):
