Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, guys, welcome back. Gonna be nice and warm today, Lisa.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Yeah, we can have the closest seventy degrees and the
sun is going to come out a little.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
Bit laterway opener.
Speaker 3 (00:07):
Yeah, oh socks, yeah, and it's a Friday.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
You know what we really haven't talked much about lately
is the fact that TikTok may go away as early
as tomorrow. Isn't tomorrow the new deadline.
Speaker 4 (00:20):
April fifth, That was the thirty ninety day stay from
January when I originally happened.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
But Trump could just extend it again. He has the
ability to do that. And I guess like Jeff Bezos
and Amazon put in a last minute bid this week.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
Yeah, so oh he could be the new owner.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
God, you would think, why not just extend it now?
Why wait until the last minute if you know what
you're going to extend.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Well, they're trying to do the deal, so the deal
has to be done with Amazon, so he'll just extend
it to get the deal done.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
You think Amazon will do the deal?
Speaker 4 (00:52):
The issue is an Amazon and it's the Chinese government
because the Chinese government owns the parent company. I think
it's called Bite Dance or something like that Yeah, it is.
Are not wanting to sell it, but maybe because they
could work at you with the tariffs being lowered, they
do sell it.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
It's a whole thing.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
I mean a lot of people make a whole living
off TikTok. So yeah, by panicking.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
I hope that this stays, and I hope that Trump
does what he did before and he just extends it
again until they can figure it out.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Well, I gotta tell you, I hope they do, because
Michelle and I have been making a small fortune on
her little.
Speaker 5 (01:21):
Dance moves in the Yeah, pumping the content out twice
a week.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Dancing in the kitchen is our new thing.
Speaker 5 (01:27):
The salsa dancer. It's like a throttle her salsa instructors. Yeah,
Okay really has a guy that comes over Michelle, I
should say, and teaches her to dance.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Actually, that would be cool and funny on TikTok. Right,
bring Travis in the kitchen. Yeah, we all salsa dance.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
Ever worry about Travis?
Speaker 2 (01:47):
You know?
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Nah?
Speaker 5 (01:48):
No, have you have you seen? Have you seen.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Okay to Africa with her?
Speaker 5 (01:52):
Yeah, Travis is a great guy.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Normally they went to Africa together. What do you what
do you suppose that's about.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
That's that's where I kind of like.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Oh, they were south dancing in Kenya.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
I think women can have healthy relationships with men and
it doesn't always have to go to that.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Like I think so too, right, Yeah, they go to
Africa together?
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Oh but they did?
Speaker 1 (02:16):
They certainly did.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
You You don't feel like you're okay with that?
Speaker 1 (02:20):
No, I'm kidding. Travis is fine. It's great.
Speaker 5 (02:23):
First.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
First of all, I could dance him under the table.
You see me do the cabbage patching?
Speaker 5 (02:30):
If only for your if only for your bat achilles, right, exactly?
That's all right? Yeah, So the deadline is when tomorrow,
April April fifth?
Speaker 6 (02:41):
Yeah, but did you know that April fifth is National
Deep Dish a.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Day and lots of it.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
It can't take TikTok away on Deep Dish.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
But I tell you, I get so much information from TikTok.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
I actually really it's actually a funny thing because you know,
when he is a producer on the show, we do
prep for the show. We all sent each other stuff,
and Winnie's entire prep is TikTok.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
Everything she says, she just does and thinks is TikTok.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
TikTok has it's good and bad parts, but I think
it has a lot of inform of information on there
that you can get, whether it's news, whether it's pop culture,
whether it's history. Like I have learned so many random
things that I never would have known before TikTok.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Oh.
Speaker 5 (03:22):
Yeah, I mean there's a there's a guy on my
TikTok this morning that drinks his own urine. Yeah, it's great.
You know, there's something for everybody.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Brilliant, But what kind of news are you getting this morning?
The story you brought to me kim Porter's grandmother died. No, no, no,
I didn't.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
I was shocked.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
I said, why do we care that kim Porter, who
is now no longer with us, rest in peace? Who
was Danny's baby mama, her grandmother died. Okay, Lyla may
rest in peace. You're one hundred and three.
Speaker 5 (03:54):
I don't really know what edation you ever have the
thought that when he ended up on the wrong radio station. Definitely,
every minute of every day, maybe she had Maybe she
had Braxton stories every day everywhere.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
You need to stop.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
I think I said, I like Tony Braxton one time
because she's a couple of good songs, and now all
of a sudden, I'm.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Oh, you're full of it. You watched the Braxton Family
Reunion or something like every night? I know, I don't.
Tony Braxton isn't even around anymore, and we haven't watched
their family.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
I love Tony Braxton, but the show was about her sisters.
She did nothing.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
I've never watched the show.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
You made this up?
Speaker 5 (04:32):
Yeah, Well, the point of the story is that TikTok.
A lot of people do make money on TikTok, so
hopefully they can figure it out and extended.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
I really think that they're going to.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
I think they will too. Yeah, and I'm surprised that
that Bezos didn't jump on this earlier.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
I know it took her late time to do it.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Price didn't invent it.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
The guy from Shark Tank, Kevin O'Leary, was interested in
buying it at one point.
Speaker 5 (04:54):
I'm telling you it'd be worth it. I think, yeah, yeah,
it would be. It's obviously profitable, right, very.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
Very profitable for everybody involved. What is so funny costs?
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Because I'm still thinking about your whole world is TikTok TikTok?
I love TikTok.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
I wonder how much time I spend a day on it.
I'm afraid to look.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
You know how your phone tells you how many hours
you are on one app?
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Should I expose myself right now?
Speaker 1 (05:16):
No? You shouldn't. We can.
Speaker 5 (05:18):
It's probably nine hours a day. It's probably what it is.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Yeah, I know I'm old school, but I'm into reels.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
Yeah. He Billy sends me about thirty reels and when
I don't respond.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
With me justin half of them are like AI fate.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
The real this is he is gonna get scammed one day,
leave and I wake him through every day when he
did you see that post about that thing? And we're like, really,
it's fate, that's not real, but it's it's on a meme.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
I'm like, right, it's edited.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
We should actually do a segment on the show every
day about all the fake news on a AI that
Billy believes a lot.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
Yeah, you believes exactly.
Speaker 5 (05:56):
Well, hopefully they can save TikTok tomorrow that.
Speaker 6 (06:00):
April fifth National Deep Dish Pizza Day, and I've got
lots of it.
Speaker 5 (06:06):
So, uh, you know, last week we got some baby chicks,
and this is the third day in a row with
a chicken story. Something's just right. Themselves.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Kids went to wait with Billy and Lisa's weird stories.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Okay, Lise, Okay.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
There is a mother from England that witnessed her toddler
running around the living room covered in ashes.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
It was not ashes from like the fireplace. It was
actually her grandfather's ashes. Oh, my own.
Speaker 7 (06:38):
When your son eat she died as is my son,
hussy and my dad's lush.
Speaker 8 (06:44):
Years which to some washing went down a few minutes
later and he had had it all over his mouth.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
I was in complete shock.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
This is horrifying.
Speaker 5 (06:56):
We hear these more often than not. Yeah, well the
ashes spelling.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
You know, I think I told you one of my
childhood friends, very young, I used to eat a cigarette
ashes all the time, Artie Thomas, on purpose. Yeah, you
like them?
Speaker 5 (07:11):
It was like, oh he liked the way they taste.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Don't eat your grandma the ashtray.
Speaker 5 (07:17):
Yeah. My grandmother just just passed and we had her
ashes put into my wife had necklaces made. So I
kind of have it hanging in my car, but not
in my house where they can be spilled or eaten.
God forbid.
Speaker 4 (07:29):
Do you think Artie would eat someone's ashes that you
had the opportunity.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
Why not. I mean, if you're eating cigarette ashes, why
not eat the real thing.
Speaker 5 (07:37):
I think he could taste the difference between the cigarette.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
I think so right, this was a long time, it's
already alive.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
I don't know, can we get it?
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Hold?
Speaker 1 (07:46):
What's his last name?
Speaker 3 (07:47):
That's like such a weird fetish.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
I think I dated his sister, Diane Thomas for short.
Speaker 5 (07:52):
You know that Tupac Shakur. When he died, he was
cremated and the members of the Outlaws, his group, smoked
his ashes ashes a blunt, rolled up a joint with
the ashes with weed, and they put to put two
pos ashes in and they smoked it in his memory.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
That's kind of ceremonial.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Sure that I understand.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
For some weird reason, I want an updated Artie Thomas. Someone,
if you know Artie Thomas from Cambridge, let.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Us know he lived in the Roosevelt Towers in the projects.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
Please, I'm gonna I'm gonna go out on a limb
here and say that Artie is likely not with us.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
You know, well, he he was younger than me.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
Okay, then he's probably still out there eating ashes somewhere.
Speaker 5 (08:30):
What's his name to.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
Thomas, I'll take a look ahead, Bill, Hey, I've got
a weird one. A guy in Washington arrested after he
stole his exes pet chicken. We were talking about revenge
on your exes. He stole her chicken. Show me your hands,
that's fine, Just hold your chicken. I'm gonna hurt your chicken.
(08:53):
Stand up, you know? Have you put the chicken in here? Peron? Wow,
you bring it up with me. I'm taking the chicken.
Speaker 5 (09:04):
All gotta say is my wife. But I'm not going
on my bad side. I snatch one of those chickens.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Oh my God's going to be asking us to store
the stolen chicken.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
He'll be driving them to my house.
Speaker 5 (09:14):
Yeah, but they're getting big now, it's only a week,
already doubled in size, and they're already starting to fly. Yeah,
we have to put we have we sweet. We got
nine baby chicks. So we have to put a screen
over them, over the bin because they're incubating, because they're
starting to fly.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
Any of them having sex, un.
Speaker 5 (09:31):
No, there's one that's bullying the other ones though, so
we keep them separated. Her grandmother lives downstairs. She is
the watcher. She's well. She had chickens in Italy, as
a child, she raised chickens. So she's retired. So she
sits there and watches her soap operas and she watches
the chicks.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
What's none you think of the chickens.
Speaker 5 (09:49):
I don't know. She's ripping butts in the back room.
You know, she does not gonna lie. We wanted to
keep the baby chicks in the smoke room. That would
make the most sense. She said, no, we don't want
to expose. In a seconds, she moved to go somewhere else.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
She's yeah, Hey, it's a new music Friday. Obviously, ed Shearon.
We're playing that all day today. In fact, we world
premiered it earlier. This morning. We'll play the song and
we'll talk about what else he's got planned, ed Sharon
in the news up next in the morning. Now we
(10:32):
are delivering on new music Friday this morning. That's new
Miley Cyrus. She's got an album. I think she's got
a movie on the way too. And Miley took off
for a while. She didn't do much, and now she's
back in a big way. Didn't she say she would
never tour again, And maybe this movie and this album
will get her back out on the road. But new
Music Friday and don't forget Ed Shearon is the artist
(10:55):
of the day. You're waiting to hear to Ed Shearon
songs back to back and when you do, you want
to be called twenty five And Lisa, this is a
huge prize you got.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
Yeah, you get a whole vacation for four people to
Universal Orlando Resort. It's five days, four nights. You get
park passes for three days. Again, four people. This is amazing.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Ed Sharon the artist of the day. Let's hit it
now the Entertainment Update with a Billy constat Yeah. His
song Azzi Zomb dropped last night at midnight. Yeah, let's
play a clip right.
Speaker 8 (11:25):
Here some time in this place, as they say, we
can do it away in the Chester game, come and play.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Such a jam.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
I can't get it out of my head me either.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
I gotta tell you justin it's okay with me. If
you decide to just make Auzie Zomb number one in
the Kiss Top thirty countdown this week, why waste any time?
We know it's going to number.
Speaker 5 (11:57):
One, it's got to do a week as an extra
and then I don't know, might go to one.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
And by the way, Ed Sheuran says his dream is
to release ten albums during his life.
Speaker 9 (12:05):
I was at eighteen, I had an idea for like
ten albums, and it was plus multiply, divide some tracks
equals and then play pause, rewind, fast forward, stop. So
I've always add I wanted to do ten. I'm kind
of a bit obsessed with Tarantino when I heard he
was doing ten films and he's got his like side
projects like grind House and yeah do that. So I'm like,
(12:28):
I want to do my ten and every now and
then do a side project here and then you.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
What do you think his next release will be? You
think it'll be all fun? The one he came to
town for for the music video.
Speaker 5 (12:37):
I mean he shot the video.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
Yeah makes sense.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Yeah, he's ready to go. H okay. So that's d Churan.
That's my Liitarius. Also this week, and I know when
he's gonna love this. A new Chris Brown bow Wow
song called use Me How Can I Get You Out
of Touch?
Speaker 8 (12:53):
The fit better win is Mum, it's the way you know.
Speaker 10 (13:01):
Ch use Me.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
That's their first song together in ten years. Do you
remember the first song was that they did together? They
did They've done songs before the ten years ago.
Speaker 5 (13:12):
Oh god, okay, thank you you nobody catch the sample down?
Speaker 1 (13:19):
No, what was it?
Speaker 3 (13:20):
I was aran?
Speaker 5 (13:22):
You want to play the play, I'll play it again.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
Okay, here comes How can I get you out of touch?
Speaker 8 (13:28):
The better is much slam?
Speaker 1 (13:32):
You know the much must you want to failure?
Speaker 10 (13:37):
Right?
Speaker 1 (13:38):
It does it?
Speaker 5 (13:39):
Samples two thousand and two jaw rule Ashanti down for you?
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Oh my god?
Speaker 3 (13:44):
Yeah, oh wow, that's exactly the.
Speaker 5 (13:47):
Scow pretty much the same.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
It's up jaw don't forget. Chris Brown comes to Fenway
Park August twenty fifth. So the White Lotus season finale
is Sunday Night, ninety minutes long and Lisa from Blackpink,
who was in the show as is the kid who
plays a guy talk with the boyfriend or the guy
(14:12):
who wants to be the boyfriend. Well apparently they got
together and did a cover of no Diggity and this
guy can sing.
Speaker 10 (14:19):
Shot he get down, good load baby got him up
and no load of out No streactly busy, don't play around,
cover much ground paid by the pound.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
I can't get it right in my mind.
Speaker 8 (14:32):
No, I think about the girl all the time.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Yeah, yeah, do you think he'll actually try to hit
it as a pop star with his fame from the
White Lotus.
Speaker 5 (14:42):
I thought I thought he was gonna say hit it.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
You know, there is definitely a double meaning there.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
Wow. Yeah, I think he's gonna hit that.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
No, I think he has more of a turn of
hitting that than hitting the music.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
Yeah, I think so many actors can sing.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
Yeah, right, yeah, he's probably done some stage workers.
Speaker 5 (15:06):
You know that he was an actual security guard. I
didn't know life. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
It seems a little small for be guarding anything.
Speaker 11 (15:14):
Okay, doesn't he Okay, Belle.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
I never was the security guard, nor what I don't
think anyone would have hired.
Speaker 4 (15:26):
Coming in at five nine.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
So next week, the Blue Origin Rocket is going to
blast off with its all female crew, Gail King, Katie Perry,
Laurence Sanchez all blasting off and apparently Olivia Munn the actress.
Wasn't she with Aaron Rodgers for a while.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
She was, But she's with the comedian John Mulaney now.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Oh boy, the unfunny John Mullaney. No, and she's blasting
the mission. Yeah, I don't.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
And I have a little bit of a issue. Is
a right word? You're just complexed?
Speaker 12 (16:01):
I just is like, what do you guys need to
and if you if you want to go to space,
why didn't need to tell us about it? Yeah, you know,
and it's it's like just go up there, have a
good time, come on Tome. Also, you know, I just
think about I know this is probably obnoxious, but like
like it's so much money to go to space, yeah,
you know, and there's a lot of people who can't.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
Even afford egg A LISTA. Didn't you say they were
getting hair extensions and eyelash?
Speaker 2 (16:28):
She went on, No, she was on the Today Show
yesterday with Jenna bush Hager when when Libya Munn said
all this, and then there's another clip where she says,
they're all getting like, you know, their last extensions and
their makeup done for this, like you know, eleven whatever
fourteen minute.
Speaker 3 (16:41):
Trip up there.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
But I have to say l magazine put them all
on the cover, the whole women's sort of group going up,
and Lauren Sanchez did say something really cool. She says,
in their house with Jeff Bezos, they live by this quote.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
Life takes off on the other side of fear.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Yeah, but didn't the cover of the magazine say something
like this is the greatest thing to ever happened for
woman kind, Yes it did. Okay, it's an amusement.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
It's a bunch of rich women going up on a rocket.
That's one of the rich women's rich boy really provided.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Yeah, Oliviamn for kind of like stepping out and saying something.
Speaker 11 (17:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Yeah, but you know what's weird is we'll all watch
it totally next week. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
I hate space travel. I would never want to do it.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
This is not exactly travel very good. But they're going
to come down.
Speaker 5 (17:32):
And they're riding the rocket. You can't what's wrong with that? Bill?
Speaker 1 (17:35):
Pay attention while you're riding that hot red rocket. Kesha
heading out on tour. She'll bring it to the Exfinity
Center July twenty fourth, Boy, we have a lot of
shows coming into this area this summer. July twenty fourth,
and she just did our jingle ball and she was fabulous.
(17:58):
The first teaser of the latest Naked Gun movie is out.
I don't know if we needed this, but there's time.
Liam Neeson is Lieutenant Frank Reben. What you want, little one?
You're who are you?
Speaker 5 (18:18):
Frankreben? Please squad.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
The new version. Yeah, Jessin and I were watching the
trailer this morning. It's the goofiest, weirdest thing I've ever seen.
But I think it's gonna be funny. Yeah, it will be,
I think so.
Speaker 5 (18:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
And I think they take a shot at Oja towards
the end of the movie or something.
Speaker 5 (18:36):
In the trailer. Yeah, they're all they're all kind of
paying their tributes to their fathers or whatever. And then
there's a picture of oj and it's a young black
police officer and he just looks at the camera. He's
like no.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
Ice cube. This week confirming he will write and star
in the New Friday movie. He's been in a lot
of movies though, right, Yeah. Yeah. Of course MTV's VMA's
for the first time, will air as well on CBS
in September. Isn't that weird. I thought it was a
little unusual, but will take it because Lisa and I
are on CBS Boston every morning just before seven o'clock.
(19:10):
Shameless part.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
I tore it, I know, but they have their own
TV network to do at all.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
I know, Well, little air simultaneously, I'm guessing Red Sox Baseball.
Here we go the Fenway opener today. Rather, it's gonna
be pretty good for a Fenway opener Socks and the
Cardinals first pitch of two ten pregame ceremonies start at
one thirty. Socks did beat the Orioles yesterday. That's two
wins in a row. Eight four of the final. Bregman
had his first home run as a member of the
(19:36):
Red sox Celts are gonna play the Suns and I
don't forget March Madness this weekend. The women's final four
is today. The men's final four is tomorrow. For the women,

Speaker 13 (20:34):
Hey, Justin, I just wanted to message and say that
I am living for this New Music Friday. Between the
Ed Sharon song and the Miley Cyrus song, it is
giving me life. I hope you guys all have a
great weekend and enjoy this beautiful Friday and keep up
the good work.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
Bye.
Speaker 5 (20:49):
Yeah, we'll have the Ed Sharon asi zam again just
after nine o'clock.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
It's in my head. I can't I can't get it
out of my head.
Speaker 5 (20:55):
Love it, Yeah, love it, and don't forget. Ourist of
the day is Ed Sharon. So if we played two
back to backs, you could be called her twenty five
and headed the Universal Orlando. So that's very cool. I
do have this. Uh. It was one of the weird
stories that you guys didn't get to. I want to
throw it in if I can.
Speaker 14 (21:11):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (21:12):
You know, Nicholas, we talked about the worst movies of
all time. This movie comes out next Friday, starring Nicholas Cage.
But everybody's talking about it. It's a Western. It's called
gun Slingers and his stars Heather Graham, Way, yeah, remember her, Yeah,
from she was in she was in Austin, Austin powers.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Was, No, she was in the Travolta Tarantino movie.
Speaker 5 (21:34):
That was of course it was. Yeah. Anyway, they're not
they're not buzzing about Heather Graham. They're buzzing about Nicholas
Cage's voice, the character's voice in the movie. This is
Nicholas Cage.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
The table boy said I should ask for Jericho.
Speaker 8 (21:52):
In this book.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
This is Bible.
Speaker 5 (22:00):
Looking for Thomas Kellers at theaters next week.
Speaker 3 (22:09):
So Heather Graham was in Hangover a hangover.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
Oh yeah, the wait a minute, is that his actual voice?
Speaker 15 (22:17):
Now?
Speaker 1 (22:17):
No, Laura Cassey doing.
Speaker 5 (22:19):
It for the character. Okay, it's a little wheezy, a
little wow eazy. Then so April eleven Gunslingers. There you go.
That's a weird story. What else do you want?
Speaker 3 (22:28):
All right, coming up, We've got another. I wouldn't call
it weird, it's interesting.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
From the Planet Fitness Kiss one Owait Studio. We're back
with Villy and Lisa in.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
The morning on Kiss.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Okay, before we say another word, the double play Flyaway
is still very much on edge. Sheering is the artist
of the day, and you're listening for two Ed Sheeran
songs in a row. And if you're college twenty five
off you go to Universal Florida five days, four nights
with four people. It's a massive prize. Okay, we have
to say into this segment, this is this is a
(23:02):
little different. So years ago, I used to be a
club DJ. That's how I started in the business. I
was in college and I started as a club DJ,
and I worked a bunch of clubs around Boston and
the North Shore. I was the Palace DJ for a
long time. And then Rain opened on Route ninety nine
in Malden, and we've got the original Rain owner Anthony
(23:26):
and studio. Good to see you, buddy. How are you good?
How are you guys? Thanks for having me? Just fine,
so big time club owner right and Rain. When I
look back at Rain, it was one of the best
clubs going that time. I mean there was a line
out the door every night. What was my night? Friday night,
Saturday night? I had Saturday nights and you had him
for a while. Yeah, I must have done six or
(23:47):
seven New Year's eves at Rain on Route ninety nine
and mald.
Speaker 15 (23:50):
You were the king of Root one there.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
I don't think it's something I'm proud.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
Of, but I'm it was a lot of fun.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
Yeah, it was a part of my life. So you
called me recently and we're talking about the major club
days back then. And you called me recently and said, hey,
we're thinking about doing a Rain reunion. What do you
think about that? And I'm like, okay, what does that mean?
So the Rain Reunion is a week from this Saturday.
Speaker 15 (24:18):
Yeah, week from this Saturday. We're going to bring it back.
We're going to bring it back, do what we used
to do old school. We have the couple of girls
coming in.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Sure, you do it.
Speaker 15 (24:28):
And you know, like when you were there, it was
such a family. Oh yeah, and not just a family
of the staff and you coming in, but the customers
because they always kind of felt like it was a
home for them.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 15 (24:39):
And again we went a lot of years and it
was a good little run. And bring it in some
great talent and now I'm working with kiss. It was
Stev's the greatest.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
King of freestyle. I'm trying to remember. And we were
discussing this. I remember the Stevie B music, I remember
the cover Girl music. What else was big then? Was
it Paula Abdul or Yeah.
Speaker 15 (25:00):
I mean we went on a run doing a lot
of the freestyle stuff, but then we got into you know,
some of the like the Brody Jenner is and we
did the Situation.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Right, I did an event, yes with the Situation the
Situation came in and co hosted with you. Yes, that's cool,
that's really cool. Yeah, this was a cool place back.
I mean it's we had some fun. We definitely had
some fun. What would be your highlights that stand out
for you?
Speaker 15 (25:28):
Well, I just think, you know, again trying to bring
in a lot of the good talent that we had,
and you know, we had Fergie come in. That was
one of the big ones. Danny Kane, Danity Kane, r
RBO day.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
That was a good one. I'm telling you what.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
I remember it so fondly. We had such Yeah. So
but again, like people can come to this, right, Yeah.
Speaker 15 (25:54):
We're hoping to again remake it and all the people
that haven't, you know, been able to go out and
come back, and you know, I see a lot of people.
One thing about rain they'll say I met my wife
at Yeah, yeah, I met my wife. Was she a
Rain dancer or she was a bartender?
Speaker 3 (26:14):
Yeah, I remember bartender.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
Yeah, well Leanne was a bartender Rain and she now
works in the sales department. Was wonderful. Yeah, Justin, Justin's
looking at us like, no.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
Way, Well, Justin's super excited to come to.
Speaker 5 (26:27):
Right, I'm coming with my wife. My wife's very excited. Yeah,
it's gonna be a good time on the dance floor. Justin,
give me some music.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Let's bring us there, Here we go, here, we got there.
Robin s.
Speaker 5 (26:40):
Robin Robin S was big then, right. Oh yeah, well no,
that's like nineties, but I'm sure you played.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
That's like early two thousand.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
Well, my nephew, DJ Costa Buddy was one of the DJs. Yeah,
launched the story.
Speaker 5 (26:53):
This song, Oh this one out baby, that was a
good one. And in Brody Jenner to.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Rody jennerous here about it and this is cool because
well Brody and I are buds and we can just
talk about anything.
Speaker 9 (27:06):
Right.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
He let me touch his hair, remember, Yeah, Well that's
how we became buds. We became buds at Rain. And
then he came in and he came to Kiscoons.
Speaker 15 (27:14):
He did, Yeah and Brody after Rain went into the
town line bowling.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Till like sevent eight o'clock in the morning, nine o'clock.
You you wouldn't leave. He loved it. Well, like I said,
those were the days.
Speaker 15 (27:26):
Those there's quite a few shots that night.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Is Brody coming for the reunion?
Speaker 15 (27:33):
I called him, we'll see. Yeah, it's gonna be a
game time decision.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
Oh, maybe I'll do some DJing justin you know, get
on the wheel for Monday. Dudes, Well, who will be Yeah?
Who is DJing?
Speaker 15 (27:45):
So we have two DJs from back to the School,
Rain Hospitalary and Chris Profena.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
Oh yeah, I remember the.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Stables and the rain Dancers are coming back to Yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
And the rain Dances are coming back.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
Yeah. And the cover girls here we go.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
Baby, this you have to picture it. When it to
have live acts, it was a very small stage. It
was small.
Speaker 5 (28:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
So they'd get up and there and by the way
on the stage was the DJ booth. So I'd be
in the DJ booth with DJ Costo or whoever was
the DJ that night, and I'd get up and I'd
introduce the act and the act would perform right in
front of us. Yeah, So, like you said earlier, it
was a very intimate feel to the club, very intimate.
Speaker 15 (28:25):
I think that was one of the things that I
think people really kind of related to the best, was saying, Hey,
we're going to go to a show. We're going to
be you know, at the most, you know, fifty sixty
feet apart, you know, away from it, and it's going
to be close. So that was what kind of thing
made the work and you know, made the success.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
I remember I used to get so many phone calls
because the deal was usually if you were going to
rain you would go out to dinner or something first,
like we'd go to Donatello on Route one and then
would all pour into Rain, right, And I would get
so many calls Billy, I'm waiting out here on Larne.
I mean, the line would go down Route ninety nine
to get into this crazy club. It was insane, and
that was a part of it. People really felt like
(29:05):
it was their club on that night. Yeah, like I said,
you've got club magic, right right. I remember you walking
in with Joe Panadosi.
Speaker 14 (29:11):
You guys would always come in, yeah, and then would
start guys would start yeah, yeah, Alan Gilbli right that
long ago, I was dressing in Ghibliy's fine mental, Yes
you were.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
This is hilarious. Okay, so what do we need to know?
The Rain Reunion is April twelve.
Speaker 15 (29:36):
April twelfth. You can get tickets on Mixed three sixty dot.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Com go two x's two xes.
Speaker 10 (29:43):
Yep.
Speaker 15 (29:43):

so we had some more tables that.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Can be purchased, mean tables. Well, we have some table seating.
People wanted to service. We can't have ball service if
they wanted it. Sure, Yeah, Billy getting the table. Uh
do I have a table? Well, Billy goes right.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
To the VIP Do you still have that little VIP
lounge next?
Speaker 1 (30:08):
Yeah, Billy would go in and get his cause.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
And we had our own bartender.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
Yeah yeah. Christina was in the bar. Oh yeah Christina.
Yeah wow. But you've got a lot else going on it, Mixed.
Don't you have regular Brazilian nights and you're always doing
something different? We do, We have quite a bit.
Speaker 15 (30:23):
We just had Nina Sky a couple of weeks ago. So,
like you know, part of the whole Rain Reunion is
at Mixed three sixty we've been doing a lot of
reunions from up and down. We used to work on
Route one, so we've done in. Coming up in May,
we do a Palace reunion. So it's the Palace Teacher Palace.
So the men in motion come for the Palace reunion.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
Yeah, a few of them, Yeah, a few of them.
Do you got to come to that? Absolutely? Why not?
Speaker 2 (30:51):
Oh?
Speaker 15 (30:51):
Yeah, we have midget wrestling now, Okay, we're just gonna go.
Speaker 16 (30:56):
Into all other set people. Yeah, little people, micro micro micro.
It's the greatest little show on.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
Wow.
Speaker 15 (31:12):
Okay, Saturday, we have a Taboo reunion, so we go
up and down it at one with these.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
Next Saturday night April seventh. Do people get tickets twelve
April twelve for other do people get tickets in advance
or how and they can get them at the door.
Speaker 15 (31:26):
We'll show up at the door, yes, but you know,
obviously get him in advance and make sure.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
Just got com and it's like two x's okay.
Speaker 1 (31:33):

We love it. And of course Ed Sharon is the
artist of the day. So if we played back to back,
you'd be call it twenty five. You head to Universal Orlando.
We got big stuff here on Kiss. We have midget
wrestling now no, no, no, no, we don't have one, but
we have Ed Sharon brand new new music for it's
called Azizum. I just want to wait.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
You got to pay attention to Kiss. One to wait.
We've got the double play fly Away going on to Edge.
Shearing is the artist of the day. And what do
you know, we just heard too Ed Sheeran songs in
a row and I've got Dana from Lynnfield on the phone.
Good morning, Dana.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
Oh yeah, that's for.
Speaker 7 (32:24):
I'm shaking right now.
Speaker 1 (32:26):

I guess he's always the afterthought, the husband. Well, Dana, congratulations,
this is a great trip. Boy Lynfield. I lived there
for more than twenty five years until I was throwing

Speaker 5 (33:55):
Guys, we give away a trip to Universal Orlando this morning,
five days, four nights from Kiss one O eight and
Dana was the lucky winner. She called was caller twenty
five whence you heard two back to back Ed Sharon
songs that Sharon, of course, is the artist of the day.
Speaker 7 (34:09):
I'm just sitting in my car at my house because
I know that I'm delayed on the tea on the computer,
so i cannot die. Oh my god, I can't whoop.
I'm shaking.

artist of the day and for a whole week. That's right.
Speaker 11 (34:39):
Oh, good morning everyone, Happy Opening Day.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
Billy.
Speaker 11 (34:43):
I know that you mentioned Ed Sharon's song should just
soar to the number one spot because it's so so good,
and I completely agree it is amazing. But when you
said this, it made me think, and I know I'm
speaking for others, not just myself, but all four of
you are in our number one spot every morning, and
(35:03):
you just give us this energy and motivation that we
need to get through the day.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
So thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
That's a nice message to go into the weekend.
Speaker 5 (35:12):
With that means a lot.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
Yeah, thank you so much for that.
Speaker 5 (35:15):
Can I share something? Will you indulge me really quickly,
because you know, people might say to us, you know,
we have the best jobs in the world, which we
do and we get to do a lot of cool stuff.
But to me, that's not the most important part of
our jobs. It's our connection with our listeners. We're one
big family. I want to share a DM that I
got yesterday which really touched my heart. It's one of
our listeners. She DM me and said that she has
(35:37):
struggled with her negative body image and weight gain for
most of her life since having three kids. It's been
twelve years of yo yo diets, negative mindset, lack of exercise,
falling off the wagon again and again. And she says,
I was discussing my own health and weight loss journey
on the show some months ago, and I said something
to the effect of if you don't stop, then you'll
(35:57):
never have to start again. And this struck a massive
chord with me. For whatever reason, this phrase has stuck
with me and become a mantra in my daily life.
I have lost thirty five pounds since January. With diet
and exercise alone, I have created healthy habits that I
have benefited my overall lifetile. I cannot thank you enough.
Keep sharing your story. It helps more than you know
(36:18):
what I mean. I don't want to give her name out, okay,
but congratulations. Keep going. That's where I told her, keep going.
You can do it. And again, it's a very simple mindset.
If you never stop going, stop exercising, you never have
to start again.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
It's true, well said, and that's with anything in life.
Speaker 5 (36:36):
Good point, Winnie, you can apply that everywhere. So and
coming up next weekend, next Saturday, they had the big
Rain Reunion, Oh, hosted by Billy. It's going to be
a great night. We had Anthony on the owner to
talk about it, hype it up.
Speaker 1 (36:49):
We're hoping to again remake it.
Speaker 15 (36:51):
And all the people that haven't you know, been able
to go out and I see a lot of people
out one thing about Rain.
Speaker 1 (36:56):
They'll say, I met my wife at h Yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
Yeah, yeah, I'm so happy that we're that you're doing
this and that we all get to go.
Speaker 1 (37:05):
Yeah. And if you're listening and you've listened to the
Billy and Lisa Morning Show, we're all going to be
there a week from Saturday, April twelfth, Rain right on
ninety nine and Maldon. You can go to Mix one
sixty two xes Mix One's.
Speaker 3 (37:18):
Mixed three sixty.
Speaker 1 (37:19):
I said, go to Mix. God, I'm such an idiot. Yeah,
I hope you're not getting paid.
Speaker 3 (37:24):
Yeah, you got because you want to get in you Yeah.
Speaker 1 (37:29):
I'm telling you. The history of Rain is that there
was always a line to get in, So get your
tickets in advance.
Speaker 5 (37:34):
And you're also, yeah, well go, my wife and I go,
and my wife jan she's super, super excited about it.
Maybe we'll get a room at the town Line like
the old days.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Oh yeah, with the makeover people.
Speaker 4 (37:43):
And if you're confused, Mixed three sixty was Rain. It's
the same place, yes, same exactly. Everyone knows it's the
same location. If you want to Rain, it's called me
Mixed three sixty now.
Speaker 1 (37:52):
But that's where it is. I'm telling you, this thing
has been My wife Michelle already has a guest list
of like thirty people. I mean, everybody's getting excited about this.
It's going to be a lot of fun.
Speaker 5 (38:00):
It's gonna be great.
