Speaker 3 (02:51):
If you can give me.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
The keyword big box is the keywords, and now you're

the prize. What you qualified?
Speaker 5 (03:01):

All right, Thank you?
Speaker 9 (03:20):
Thank you, thank you.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Thank you, and hello Gloucester. Yeah. Oh, I got to
put together a list of what we're going to challenge
this kid to do. All right, So we have espresso
with Lisa. Yeah, we have Charlie Pooth's drop it like
It's hot soop. Don't forget. Charlie did Mariah's Christmas song.
It's a perfect time. I don't know if that's no,
I don't know if that's that's high level. Oh, I
don't know. This kid. We put him to the tek dude, Charlie. Okay,
(03:44):
Charlie also does Halseys without me. Maybe had that one too,
all right, I'm right in the list. We got Philsy,
the world renowned eleven year old beat Bucks sensation.
Speaker 10 (03:58):
Next in by well Billy and Lisa Kiss one way.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
I am so psyched about this segment right here, Lisa,
and I know you are too, because you are in
the world of beatboxing. H But we've got young alex Elia.
Did I say that right, Alex Yeah?
Speaker 10 (04:14):
I mean yeah, alex Ilier.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
Oh it's all one.
Speaker 10 (04:19):
I mean not all one, but first name and last
name Alexnelier.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Okay, all right, okay, and you've got your mom Jill
good to see you here.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
Jill too.
Speaker 6 (04:27):
Things for having us.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
You guys are living in Winthrop.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
So, Alex, you've got millions of followers because you beat
box and you're only eleven years old. But you started
what at eight years old?
Speaker 11 (04:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (04:40):
I started at eight years old.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
How did you get more than ten billion followers?
Speaker 10 (04:48):
Well? Mostly like viewers, But I think it's because beat
boxing is a thing for older people. But most people
see a kid doing and we're like, I never knew
that a kid would like want to do something.
Speaker 6 (05:04):
Okay, yeah, that makes perfect sense.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Now, Alex, I want to give our listeners a sample.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Okay, Justin and I met you in the hallway a
couple of minutes ago, and you did something beatbox related
that just flipped me out, and it's something that even
the best beat boxers in the world can't even do.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Can you do some of that right now for our listeners? Yeah?
Speaker 10 (05:24):
Go ahead, Yah, it's like a starter.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
God. Now, is that something you're already using in a song?
Speaker 10 (05:38):
I mean for my own things that I do for competitions. Yeah,
I use that a lot.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
It's fascinating to me what you just did. Does it hurt?
Speaker 6 (05:48):
It's such a creative sound.
Speaker 10 (05:50):
Yeah, does your.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
Mouth get dry when you're doing it?
Speaker 10 (05:54):
I mean lots of the times. Yeah, so I got
to have like a drink nearby if I do it
for a lot.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Yeah, that's Justin.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
By the way, he asked you the question because you
were just looking around like some spirit was just talking
to you studio. Yeah, oh my god. So who's your
beatboxing idol?
Speaker 10 (06:12):
Yeah? Well, I think it's Napalm, one of my teachers
that I had for a little bit.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
And Napalm competes in World Beatbox champions would.
Speaker 10 (06:24):
Be Box Championships. He won it once.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Is there money in it?
Speaker 10 (06:29):
Yeah, and there's like you.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Get well, there's mom Jill shaking very.
Speaker 10 (06:33):
Small Okay, I mean it's a thousand dollars I think.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Yeahs old.
Speaker 10 (06:39):
So you also win like a seven hundred dollars DJ
station or something.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
There you go, there you go, And you've got a
big competition coming up in New York City.
Speaker 10 (06:48):
Right, yeah, December twelfth.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Okay, uh, Justin. We had a beat boxing boxing experience
with Charlie Booth in the studio which blew our minds.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
Right, do we have some of that? Watch this these guys,
just everyone listening right now? You can't see. But these
guys just high five each.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Other to Mariah Carrey, give me your best, Sure she'll
love it.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
It's not as good as you. Okay, here we go.
Really's going all in on this one, Alex, can you
match that?
Speaker 10 (07:27):
I haven't done that cover yet?
Speaker 5 (07:29):
Okay, Okay, that was.
Speaker 10 (07:41):
I appreciate it, but not the best.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
Well, he's got to work on it. It's the first
time we put on like we did to Charlie.
Speaker 6 (07:48):
That was incredible, but it was better than Charlie's.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Yeah, what's your in your opinion? In your opinion, right, Philsey?
What's your best beatbox?
Speaker 10 (07:57):
I think it's My best beat box is the one
with the most like special noises like the starter that
I did. That's a special noise to me since not
a lot of people can do it right. And my
best beat box comes from the routines that I do
for the competitions, because they're very structured.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
What's your best routine and give us a bit of
it right now.
Speaker 10 (08:23):
I think it's the one that I'm doing for the
upcoming one, the.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
New York City competition. We get a taste of what
you're going to do in New York City.
Speaker 10 (08:32):
Oh good, good good, all right, So the first drop is.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
That's just the layer, the first layer right now?
Speaker 3 (08:47):
How does he do that? Yeah? I don't know. His
lips were doing something really weird.
Speaker 10 (08:53):
It looks it looks very very weird.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
Can you ever hurt something? I'm illa ask cut Joe.
Do you worry at all about Alex in his throat
or no?
Speaker 6 (09:03):
He doesn't ask for water a lot of times?
Speaker 3 (09:06):
Yeah, yeah next to him.
Speaker 6 (09:07):
How much do you practice during the day?
Speaker 10 (09:10):
Maybe like two hours a day, but it yeah, by myself. Yeah,
I'll just practice on my routine by myself with like
a timer. But if I'm doing a lesson, it might
be three hours since my lessons are one hour.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
So wow.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
So how often do you do lessons with napalm? Try
the ways an awesome name?
Speaker 10 (09:32):
Oh yeah, I'll do it for an hour, but on
very like special occasions it would be thirty minutes since
the clock is very different in Japan. The time there
are you?
Speaker 3 (09:45):
Are you working on a current pop song.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
That you can give us a sample of? You know,
you know we're kiss one away. That's the morning show.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
We play pop music for the most part.
Speaker 12 (09:54):
Yeah, I mean, you gotta have something in the you
guys play the Gorillas?
Speaker 6 (09:59):
Know his favorite group is the Gorilla feel Good.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
I love that song, the song feel good? All right?
Speaker 5 (10:06):
Yeah, I can't let's hear it.
Speaker 10 (10:07):
Can put it on this bar right now?
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Is this the Gorillas or is it Gorilla?
Speaker 3 (10:15):
All right?
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Gorillas here they come?
Speaker 10 (10:17):
All right? I can do feel Good?
Speaker 3 (10:19):
Wait, shuld I play the song first the.
Speaker 10 (10:25):
Okay, not partciularly that bar, but I can do the
intro very well.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Okay, here's Philsey doing the intro.
Speaker 5 (10:33):
Feel good.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Do you have a collection like that, You've recorded, like,
you know, like a collection of Philsy.
Speaker 10 (10:55):
I don't know if I have a collection, but.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
My mind is filled with videos and types of beatboxing. Yeah.
I do have a clip of his hair here napalm.
You want to hear him? Oh yeah, it sounds like
the guy he's learning from. Okay, can you give that
(11:18):
a shot.
Speaker 10 (11:20):
I'm barely is your guy?
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Is your teacher?
Speaker 10 (11:23):
Barely get it doing them?
Speaker 6 (11:28):
It's not he doesn't get a liberal, yeah, but.
Speaker 10 (11:31):
He's just I can't do it like fast. I can
do it like a little fast, but not clean at all.
You just hear, you know, but as you can hear,
you can hear like everyone of his liberals very fast.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Well, in the world of music, right now, there's talking
about collaborations, right, they're collaborating on stage at concerts, they're
collaborating on record. And do you ever think of doing
a collaboration with another beatboxer? Maybe Napalm you feature.
Speaker 10 (12:02):
I mean that would be very hard because there's usually
sometimes it can be on social media, but there's tag
teams during beatbox competitions where there's two people doing like
a routine.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
Water are you getting a little dry mob there?
Speaker 10 (12:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (12:19):
He has he's duncan there.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
He did?
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Okay, do you have the Snoop Dogg justin Yes?
Speaker 3 (12:27):
Okay, so this is Charlie Pooth doing drop It Like
It's Hot, which really like he did this live in studio. Yeah, your.
Speaker 6 (12:48):
You're so good.
Speaker 10 (12:52):
I'd like to think that all the time.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
But okay, now we have the ultimate show.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Okay, looking at lista Donevan right, it is the Billy
of the Morning Show. I didn't know this until five
minutes ago, but for producer Riley and me a couple
of minutes ago, she showed us her beat box of
was it Espresso?
Speaker 6 (13:11):
Espresso? Do you know that Sabrina Carpenter song? Espresso. Yeah, oh,
can you do? Can you do?
Speaker 13 (13:16):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (13:16):
He's drinking the Sabrina drink from Duncan.
Speaker 5 (13:18):
Oh this is perfect?
Speaker 6 (13:21):
Wow? All right, so you're a fan.
Speaker 10 (13:23):
That will make me better. So you're a fan of
the drink?
Speaker 14 (13:26):
Really?
Speaker 3 (13:27):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (13:27):
First, you want to play the clip justin you can see?
Speaker 6 (13:34):
Sorry, can you show me how to do it? Yeah?
Speaker 10 (13:38):
Well I need to get the base. But then there
was some hyats there, weren't there?
Speaker 6 (13:47):
I think?
Speaker 3 (13:47):
So do you want to hear just the instrumental with
that help?
Speaker 10 (13:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 15 (13:50):
Okay, yeah, okay, thank you.
Speaker 6 (14:08):
Hear this Sabrina?
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Great?
Speaker 3 (14:14):
Try at least you can take some lessons with Philsey.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
You had a little roll in there.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
You know.
Speaker 6 (14:26):
Wow, you've inspired me.
Speaker 10 (14:29):
Maybe you could take lessons from me, but I don't
know much problem.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
That would be great, zero dollars.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
That would be so cool.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
If you became a competitive beat boxer. Wow, we beat
box at the book Club, Alex. Great to see you
and I want to see good luck New York City
December twelfth. You're heading to the Big Apple Baby. Some
tough competition down there, the US beat Boxing Boxing Championship.
Speaker 5 (14:59):
You are so cool.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
Yeah, what's your Instagram Alex, Josie, beat Box, Phisybeatbox Fi,
l z Y.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Lisa Now the entertainment update with a Billy constap on
Kiss and.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
Earlier this morning we talked about this.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
Just announced to iHeart and j c Penny are teaming
up on a holiday collection and it involves jingle Ball, right.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
It is the official jingle Ball Collection collab. You know
how much we love collabs around here. Yeah, available at jcpenny.
They have the cutest sparkly shorts, sparkly pants, sparkly dresses,
jean jackets, plaid skirts out the skater skirt. So go
to jcpenny dot com and you can order it online
(15:51):
and we have some local jcpenny stores PVD Marlborough, Attenborough, Salem,
New Hampshire and Nashville, New Hampshire. But grab it and
you can wear it to jingle Ball or just wear
it all holiday season.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
That, by the way, would be the sold out jingle
Ball of December fourteenth. The TD Garden, which Ed Shearon
is headlining, and John Bodjovi recently haveked Ed Sharon to
be on his new album.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
Ed Shearon said.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
No, I can't, most likely because he's too busy with
jingle ball I'm dead.
Speaker 11 (16:18):
And I discussed it immediately, and he had said, I've
done too many things. I need to put my record
out before I can do anything else. I made a
promise to and I said, all right, you little brat.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Fine, he's kind of a little brat, but we love it.
Speaker 3 (16:35):
We talked about this earlier.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
Actually, it was a big topic for us this morning,
justin Bieber creating some heat on social sharing his faith
based views on a live stream.
Speaker 14 (16:45):
You could do everything right and then on your life
is full of resentment then because you just you're like, well,
you're gonna go bad at one point. Well, Jesus also
one upset by saying, like, if you even think of
a woman with leuss, it's the same thing as actually
doing it.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
It's committing an adults or whatever. Like it's the same thing.
Speaker 14 (17:10):
So it's like it's like if it even just crosses
your mind for one second, if you if you treat
him in with anger or something, it's the same as
killing a man. Scripture, I killed like ten people this week.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
God, I must kill Bill like ten times a week,
just like Bieber.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
It gets your thinking, though, yeah, thinking about in a
lustful way.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
Somebody else is that cheating. Honestly, I think we're all guilty.
That's my opinion. Everybody is still Yeah, yeah, well.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
I think that there are different levels of lust maybe
and maybe this is a window into what happened between
Justin and Haley.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
Remember there were there there was some trouble in Paradise there.
Speaker 6 (17:52):
Maybe this is a window into what was going on there.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
Yeah. He also was high as a kite in that
most of the time. He's prettymuch high all day, which
is funny. Smokes a lot of weed. I mean, that's fine, but.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
And thinking, I guess is one thing. Acting on it
is probably going to create.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Problems for everybody usually does.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
Yeah, yesterday we talked about Kim Kardashian announcing she has
an aneurysm on the season seven premiere of The Kardashians,
and she actually gave us an update on GMA yesterday.
Speaker 12 (18:21):
You'll see in the next episode. I did go and
get a pernuvo scan, and I had to end up
going and getting tons of other brain scans at Cedars
with all the team and so just tune in next week.
Speaker 6 (18:34):
But everything works out.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
Yeah, tune in.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
So millions of people have aneurysm, some walk around not
even knowing they have aneurysms. But what they don't have
is a reality show.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
Yeah, this ruffled some feathers. The Brain Aneurism Foundation reached
out to me this morning. Really yeah, yeah, because we
did this story.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
There listening to the Billy and Lisa morning show. She
was and shout out to her. Her name is Chris,
But she wasn't really angry. She just you know, she
works with the foundation and wants to, you know, kind
of get the word out right about how important it
is symptom signs right, and that it's not just caused
by stress either.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
Your that was what was confusing to me when Kim
was talking about it. So I'm glad that she's trying
to like educate people about the whole thing, the whole condition.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
Yeah, but just make sure that you use it to
promote your TV show, you know that, because the part
that tune in next week. Yeah, that's a little troubling.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
Yeah, and keep in mind, and I'm sure that caller
or talk abacker justin would tell you this that a
lot of people walk around with aneurisms.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
They never even know one in the thirty people actually yeah,
she said, Wow, it's very serious.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
Mariah Carey says, by the way, no, it's not time
yet for the annual Christmas launch.
Speaker 6 (19:55):
Not yet.
Speaker 11 (19:56):
Not I said not yet, not yet, It's not time yet.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
When is it time? On Saturday, November first. Ah, I
feel like I can hear my wife say those words
all the time too. That's another thing altogether. At least
she's not saying get off me.
Speaker 3 (20:21):
That's true. Are you done yet? Or are you no?
Just dropped the whole thing.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
Chapel Rone is going to winduct Cindy Lapper into the
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She had a video
message for Cindy.
Speaker 6 (20:36):
Hello, I'm Chapel Rone.
Speaker 16 (20:37):
I'm so excited to be inducting Cindy Laupper into the
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on November eighth. She
has inspired me with her fashion, her hair, of course,
her makeup, person music. I actually auditioned with True Colors
for America's Got Talent when I was thirteen. I didn't
make it, but the song is I'm so excited to
(21:02):
thank you for having.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
Me say this is one of my favorite stories of
the morning. People now are learning Spanish from language apps
out there so they can fully understand what Bunny is
talking about during the super Bowl halftime show.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
Hi, I just want to say that as a native
Spanish speaker, we don't even understand what Bad Bunny.
Speaker 5 (21:24):
But I'm still excited about the super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
Yeah, they're saying the language APPS speak is dealing with
a huge spike since it was announced that Bad Bunny
would be the halftime show. And again, I think he
is going to absolutely crush it. And Chris Evans Lisa
had a baby he.
Speaker 6 (21:42):
Did with his wife.
Speaker 2 (21:43):
He's from I think Sudbury, Massachusetts. I remember his mom,
Lisa used to listen to the show, So congratulations.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
His wife's name is Alba Baptista. She's Portuguese.
Speaker 6 (21:53):
Yes, beautiful.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
And the baby was born here in Massachusetts, rightfully, so
he's a local guy.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
Does he still have a house here? I wonder if
he still lives here or not. We'll have to find out.
Speaker 6 (22:06):
I'm sure a lot of his relatives still do well.
Speaker 3 (22:08):
The name the kid, Bill carly De la Cruz Hernendez. Okay,
his bill preparing for the super Bowl halftime show.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
Hey, World Series is all tied up at two games apiece. Yeah,
Blue Jays came back last night. Shoey Otani was the
starter for the Dodgers. I guess he pitched six innings
but was taken out after that.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
And so this is what you want right in the
World series. Do you know he sleeps twelve hours a night?
Speaker 16 (22:35):
What?
Speaker 3 (22:36):
And he travels with his own bed and is a
portable bed that looks like a suitcase. It is. It's
especially tailored to his body. It's this real expensive, fancy bed.
It's the exact bed that his body needs. Yeah, this guy,
when did that start? You can have a bed, yeah,
you can have all these tests done to find out
(22:57):
the perfect mattress slash bed for his body. And he
has one at home, and he has a travel one
that he always travels with.
Speaker 6 (23:03):
It makes sense because we travel so much.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
You see him rolling it around. It's a big box
that's actually his bed. Wow, he sleeps twelve hours a night.
Speaker 6 (23:10):
Tiger Woods used to do that too.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
He used to bring his own bed into the places
he would rent during tournaments.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
You would think shohey would have a guy that rolls
the bed, But I think he was arrested, wasn't. Oh
yeah he's in jail. Oh yeah, a little bit of
a gambling itch.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Yeah, as the bedroller.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
He saw the betting scandal happen last week and he
was like, that's old news for me. It brought to
you by the ninety nine Restaurants.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
If you're looking for a spoo sectacular deal this Halloween,
go to the ninety nine restaurant. Do it this Friday
for kids eat free or feed the family at home
with the delicious Family Meal deal to go. You gotta
love the Nines and there you go.
Speaker 8 (23:50):
I got you go.
Speaker 12 (23:52):
From the Planet Fitness, Kiss one Await Studios.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
We're back with Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
All right, so welcome back. So this is kind of
a buzz story this morning. It starts today. Write this
new wage transparency law today right.
Speaker 6 (24:07):
Today in Massachusetts.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
So it's employers with twenty five or more employees must
include a wage or salary range in all of the
job postings moving forward.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
So before you go on the job interview, you should
know what the job pays.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
Is that what is exactly? It needs to be completely transparent.
You know what you're walking into a range?
Speaker 3 (24:27):
A range, right, So if the job pays around sixty
thousand dollars, right, the the employer can't write, well, it
pays from a dollar to two hundred thousand. It would
have to be something like between fifty and seventy thousand, right,
has to be reasonable.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Last I checked, this company had a lot more than
twenty five employees.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
Yes, we definitely apply. Yeah, we definitely apply. So not
only will you get wage transparency, meaning if you're applying
for a job, you're going to know the range of
what you could make. You are already an employee at
one of these companies, you can ask what's the going
rate for what you do?
Speaker 1 (25:02):
So is the problem? A lot of people are showing
up for a job interview not knowing what the pay
range is at all.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
That's one of the problems, right, And then it's a
complete waste of your time when you finally ask, well,
what's the pay and they say it's this, and you're like,
oh my god, I wish I would have known this
before I even made the trip in.
Speaker 17 (25:20):
Right.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
There's also issues with you know, the race and gender
and people being underpaid and not knowing that they're underpaid.
Speaker 6 (25:27):
Right.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
One of the objectives with this law then is to
improve that situation.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
Corros is the gap? Correct? Yeah, So yeah, we definitely apply,
and this is good for anyone out there on the
job market looking for a job. Oh, you have no idea.
I remember looking for jobs. I had no idea what
the job pays? Really, yeah, I had no idea.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
I don't know if I would go on a job
interview if I didn't know at least what it started.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
As roughly, Yeah, but sometimes if they don't list it,
then how do you know? Right?
Speaker 2 (25:53):
So it would come up in conversation during the interview generally,
But now you.
Speaker 6 (25:58):
Don't have to do that. So it's posted ahead of time.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
Right, And if you ask, they have to respond or
they get in trouble, they get fined. Oh really, think
they get a warning the first time, and then they
pay some money. So it's going to make a big
difference for a lot of people. And it starts today.
They got to help people, you.
Speaker 6 (26:15):
Know, So more information is always a good thing.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
Well, I should ask the boss what's the going rate
for what I do? Why don't you go in for
a fresh, a new interview today?
Speaker 3 (26:26):
Right?
Speaker 2 (26:27):
And it's also you're not you're not penalized for asking
that question too, you're and if.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
You are penalized, they'll be in trouble.
Speaker 6 (26:35):
Right, you're protected.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
Wow, maybe I'll do a little interview today. I'm just saying,
you know what's to pay? Now, what's the range? Where
does it stop, where does it end? I think it's
a good things.
Speaker 3 (26:49):
Go to Marine Online one, definitely a good thing.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
Hey Mareene, what do you think about this new law,
the wage transparency law.
Speaker 18 (26:57):
I think it's excellent because a lot of the time,
what happens when you go on an interview, they'll ask
you what what type of salary are you looking for?
And you sit there thinking, I don't know what are
you offering and they don't have that information for you,
and it puts you in a really bad spot. It
(27:18):
just like Lisa said, you get here and then you
find out what the actual range is and you just waste.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
It all that time.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
And you also don't want to undercut yourself. If they're
asking what are you thinking you should get paid for
this job and they say, oh, this is a deal.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
You're hired, Yeah exactly, Yeah, When in fact the range
was hired, then you know, okay, I'll take it. You're hired.
So yeah, it's going to help people looking for jobs
that are in the job market, and also people that
are already working that are maybe underpaid. Should be paid more,
you know. Okay, talk about this, so I'll be haitting
the boss up.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
That'd be funny if we all lined up in his office.
I think he comes in a tent right after the show, right,
it comes in like a couple of minutes before ten.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
Yeah, I think we should be waiting outside his door. Yeah,
we'll be like, all right, so one of the time.
So what does this job pay everywhere else? And how
much more can you pay us? Yes? Right, what's in
it for me? Right? Yeah, I can see that's going
to go.
Speaker 19 (28:15):
Well, we can't actually find a record of him being
a current employee here.
Speaker 20 (28:19):
I looked into it more deeply and I found that
apparently what happened is that he was laid off five
years ago and no one ever told him about it.
But through some kind of glitch in the payroll department,
he still gets a paycheck.
Speaker 19 (28:31):
So we just went ahead and fixed the glitch so
he won't be receiving a paycheck anymore. So it'll just
work itself out naturally. We always like to avoid confrontation
whenever possible.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
Oh yeah, no one wants confrontation. Roses and Chelsea.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
Good morning, Rose, Hey Rose, what do you think wage transparency.
Speaker 7 (28:50):
I think that it's great, more so because I used
to work for a company and I had been there
for over five years, and I did a great job.
I would train new hires and stay hired. This gentleman
that came in, I was assuming his training. They didn't
realize I had access to his like profile of you know,
(29:11):
his application, and I realized for the same job I
was doing, he was getting paid a significantly higher amount.
So it's a I think it's great because it's not
fair when you're doing the same job and not being
paid the same.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
Wow, you were training him and then you found out
he's getting more than you.
Speaker 7 (29:31):
Yes, I was doing his training. He was going to
work in the same store as I. But I had
been doing it for probably over five years, and he
was getting paid probably about like fifteen thousand more than
I was.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
Oh boy, how did end What was the outcome?
Speaker 7 (29:48):
It wasn't a good outcome. They ended up transferring his
location just so that there was it wasn't awkward between
the two of us, but I they reevaluated me. I
was brought up, but I still wasn't brought up to
what he had, So it really wasn't it wasn't fair.
I'm no longer with that company, but yeah, yeah, the
hell with that company. So I think it's good.
Speaker 3 (30:13):
Yeah, thank you Rose. Let's go to Rajiev line too.
Hey Rajieve, heyway up, guys.
Speaker 17 (30:19):
I think that's fantastic because I remember, you know, it's
basically always simply to benefit the employer, because it's like
they want to try to pay you as little as
they possibly can. So if you have no clue or
they don't post it, you have no idea what you're
supposed to get, right. So I remember years ago, like
at the hospital at mass in a hospital where I
was working, it's like they used to have like a
bulky board up there, right, and it would show sort
(30:40):
of like okay, like this is great, so and so
this is the salary range. So at least you had
an idea. But these days a lot of places don't.
So I love that's one of the things I think,
like with a lot of the younger generation, right, like
they have like the tiktoks and stuff right where you're like,
well how much do you make? And people are more
open about it. So unless you know, that's the only
way to sort of let make sure that you're sort
of getting properly valued as opposed to the companies simply
trying to undertutch you. So I think that's fantastic. The
(31:01):
best has passed that.
Speaker 3 (31:02):
Well, well, thank you, Rachie. This is this is good
news for a lot of people. It sounds like it. Yeah,
Julie thinks she's online. Three. Good morning, Julie.
Speaker 15 (31:10):
Hi.
Speaker 8 (31:11):
How are you?
Speaker 3 (31:12):
Go ahead?
Speaker 8 (31:13):
Julie, Hi, how are you guys?
Speaker 3 (31:16):
We're great? Go ahead, Julie. What have you got?
Speaker 17 (31:18):
Oh?
Speaker 9 (31:19):
Yeah, So I was just wondering what about those companies
that have like a national footprint, so like they're headquartered
and say like New York, but they have jobs in
like Massachusetts and other states. Is it only Massachusetts that's
going to show up like on the you know, job
postings or do you think that eventually it will come
(31:39):
down to other states because someone in New York might
be like, oh, what is this person in Massachusetts make?
Speaker 1 (31:45):
Or you know, well that's interesting because you're describing our company. Yeah,
we have offices all over the country.
Speaker 11 (31:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (31:52):
I believe it to say if you did work, if
you work in Massachusetts or work out of state, it
still applies. Are located somewhere else it is still applies.
Speaker 8 (32:00):
Oh it still applies.
Speaker 5 (32:02):
Oh that's great.
Speaker 9 (32:02):
Yeah, because you're thinking, like the same job in one
state versus another, you'd probably want to know.
Speaker 8 (32:08):
So that's interesting. And I have a second second point
is what about schools. You know how they always say
like refer to the I don't know addendum or whatever
it is, like, are the schools going to be more?
You know, this counts for them too, right where they
have to post it, like at the on the job description.
Speaker 1 (32:29):
Well, they've got more than twenty five employees. They're in Massachusetts.
I'm guessing it does apply.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
That's any employee over twenty five employees.
Speaker 9 (32:36):
Interesting, it's going to be interesting to see how many
people end up going on.
Speaker 8 (32:40):
Job interviews or not. You know, it's interesting.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
Well you know what Julie asked, An answered, As always
on the Billion Lisa Morning Show.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Julie very engaged in the conversation. Yes, morning, we like that.
Oh the boss got back to me already for my email?
No way? Yeah, well I asked him like can I
get a raise?
Speaker 5 (32:56):
Like?
Speaker 3 (32:56):
Can I get more money? And see what he wrote there?
Let me open it up here? Okay, all right, here
we go justin. Yes, zero point zero. Thanks.
Speaker 5 (33:07):
Billy and Lisa.
Speaker 3 (33:10):
Talkback leftover, So let's go get him justin. How many
more episodes of this Golden Bachelor are there, Lisa?
Speaker 2 (33:15):
So women tell all is tomorrow night and then one
more episode after that.
Speaker 3 (33:21):
Okay, so Riley will be on Thursday, Thursday six forty Yeah, okay.
Speaker 5 (33:25):
Good morning morning crew.
Speaker 21 (33:28):
So I was getting caught up on The Golden Bachelor
and I couldn't stop thinking, Gosh, Mel reminds me of somebody,
And then I realized he looks exactly like Frankenstein. I
don't know if it's square space or how thin his
lips are, but he totally looks like Frankenstein.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
They have bolts in the side of his space.
Speaker 6 (33:50):
It's Halloween, so's perfect.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
Yeah, that's Fretty actually does kind of look like him. Hey, Mel,
you got to be Frankenstein for Halloween. Yeah, he's a
dud Halloween.
Speaker 18 (34:00):
Listening to show from earlier this week, too funny you
guys talk about Halloween stuff, but every time.
Speaker 7 (34:08):
You play boo oh, it cracked me up too funny boo.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
God. We've been playing that for how many years? I
wait for it every year? Yeah? Okay, you.
Speaker 13 (34:23):
Good morning, guys, have just dropped my dogs off of
the dog citer. I'm head to the airport now for
a little vacation in Mexico, and I'll be listening to
you guys in between shots of tequila every day.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
M Yeah, baby, Well, I got a news story earlier
this morning, but it's just Mexican airlines that might be
delaying or canceling some flights with a shutdown right now.
It's gonna be temporary. But oh, I'm sure he's flying.
He's flying out of Boston. He'll be on a major airline.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
I think he's think he's gonna be okay. Yeah, there's
been some some disruptions. Might get worse with the air
traffic controllers to shut down.
Speaker 6 (34:56):
But ironically, my dad flew in no problem. No, he
went through DC. His flights were on time, and he
was here.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
It's so random traveling by air Yeah, you know the
days they tell you it's going to be crazy. Oh,
eighty nine million people are going to be traveling this weekend.
You go to the airport, there's no one there. Yeah,
it's random. When you least expect it, there's a crowd.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
Yeah, I mean, look at shutdown or not that can
be delays in issues. Yeah, we used to do a
segment called Airline News because every day there was an
airline story in the news that we would cover, you know. Yeah,
but anyway, have fun in Mexico, Bud.
Speaker 6 (35:31):
My parents have a house in Mexico.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
So you guys just need to be quiet because I
know everything about Mexico. We need we need to delete that.
Speaker 3 (35:41):
Let's see if we can do a mash up already boom.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
My parents are in Mexico. You guys just need to
be quiet because I know everything about Mexican.
Speaker 6 (35:49):
This is a night ware Hey, yeah, someone was pushing
my buttons.
Speaker 5 (35:54):
Yes, kids, one away. It's the morning wrap up on
Billy and Lee in the morning.
Speaker 3 (36:01):
Let's wrap this morning show up. It's been a busy morning.
Always is gray outside. How much look forward to outside?
Speaker 2 (36:08):
This is a tough day. It's a great Yeah, this
is a tough one.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
Yeah. I think the next few days are going to
be kind of wishy washy.
Speaker 6 (36:14):
Well, tomorrow is going to be really bad.
Speaker 3 (36:17):
Jason Michael w Bzy. Should we get one final check
with him tomorrow? Maybe on Halloween or absolutely? Yeah. The
trick or has changed some from earlier. This week. Yeah, yeah,
he did text me and ask me, so we'll walk
him in for tomorrow. This morning, though, would you miss well,
you missed an eleven year old beatboxing sensation. His name
is Alex. He's from Winthrop. He goes by Philsey Beatbox.
(36:38):
We found him on Instagram, brought him in and dude,
we put him right on the spot and he kind
of nailed it. I mean he did espresso Sabrina Carpenter
there it is. Yeah, this kid has a real talent.
I remember he's only eleven years old. He's been doing
(36:58):
it for a couple of years and he's being trained
by beatbox professionals like world champions. Yeah, definitely, And he
can make these sounds with his mouth. I mean we
were like, what is he doing?
Speaker 6 (37:10):
Like that's it sounds like a computer that's.
Speaker 3 (37:12):
His mouth and making them and then he layers other
sounds on top of it. It's really incredible. The breath
control is incredible as well.
Speaker 1 (37:19):
Yeah, the thing he did in the hallway for us,
I couldn't believe it.
Speaker 3 (37:22):
It's really cool. So we'll have some video up on
the Kiss Instagram today look out for that. But yeah,
it's been a fun show as always.
Speaker 5 (37:28):
Good morning everybody.
Speaker 1 (37:29):
It's Lucy.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
I am on my way to a little day surgery
and I could really use.
Speaker 8 (37:34):
A little CARDI b left this morning to pick me
up justin I hope you didn't make me smile.
Speaker 6 (37:39):
Have a great day.
Speaker 5 (37:40):
Good luck, Lucy.
Speaker 3 (37:45):
And you know, God forbid, God forbid anything bad worth
to happen. God forbid. We'll try not to laugh, but
you'll be just fine. You'll be just fine.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
But we gotta go, We gotta make room. But we
will see you tomorrow morning. First thing, wake up with us.
We'll see you by
