wine named after you.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
You just rock.
Speaker 6 (01:01):
Wow, well thanks.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Yeah, the book club. The book club is really just
an amazing thing. I mean because we've been there since
the beginning, you know, started and then growing to this
like humongous.
Speaker 7 (01:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:12):
We had like sixty people the first time three years ago,
and now we have like fifteen hundred people and we're
doing them in other cities.
Speaker 9 (01:19):
Going to say, it's becoming like a tour. I was
actually making a coffee earlier and our amazing web guy
was like, yeah, I got a lot going on there.
This's book Club's going everywhere.
Speaker 10 (01:27):
I know.
Speaker 8 (01:27):
Oh really, We're going to be in Boca Raton, Florida
November twentieth.
Speaker 6 (01:33):
How you going back to Florida going to Boca?
Speaker 9 (01:36):
That's want to be a Lisa Donavan Like Rody the
follow Around microphones had a couple of wires.
Speaker 8 (01:41):
It's fun though, because we hook up with other iHeart
radio stations and their morning shows and then we do
a book club with their listeners and we raise money
for a charity in their area.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Okay, wait, they're not piggybacking off of your success.
Speaker 8 (01:56):
Now I'm bringing it to Boca. So it's Lisa's book
Club Heart Radio. Yeah, Okay, it's awesome.
Speaker 7 (02:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Yeah, And you know, obviously the book club is like
we talk a lot abou the book club because not
only is it amazing the reading, you know and even
getting people to read, but it's the community too totally.
You know, you go to one of these events if
you've never been, you have to go. Like it's amazing,
Like you know, people gather together and have drinks and read.
Speaker 8 (02:18):
It has honestly given me so much joy to hear
the stories of women who come with their friends, they
come with their daughters, they come with like their moms,
and it's just like a meetup and they look forward
to it every single time.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Yeah, it's so cool. It's so cool.
Speaker 8 (02:34):
So the next one is okay, So we have Ellen
Hildebrand coming up October twenty first at Joson Maine. So
that sold out in like a hot minute yesterday. That's
for her book, The Academy. And I'll be in Hartford
with Jeff Benedict who wrote The Dynasty October twenty third
with our radio station.
Speaker 6 (02:51):
There in West Hartford.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
He's coming back, he's coming back. Yeah, he's great. Oh
my god, I love that out.
Speaker 6 (02:56):
Yeah he's yeah, he's so good.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Really good. All right, Well, congrats. Lisa's good a tie
online five. Tie is in Brighton and is caller twenty five.
I believe. Good morning, Tie, good morning.
Speaker 7 (03:07):
How are you?
Speaker 1 (03:07):
We are wonderful. How are you?
Speaker 11 (03:10):
I'm doing pretty well?
Speaker 7 (03:12):
Ty?
Speaker 1 (03:12):
If you want to go to our sold out jingle
Ball you want to see Ed Sharon, I just need
a keyword and you're in.
Speaker 7 (03:18):
Uh that would be holiday.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
That's right, that's right. Thank you so much, Ty for listening.
We appreciate it. I have a great day and we'll
see you December fourteenth.
Speaker 5 (03:25):
All right, awesome, thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
You are very welcome. Well, I'm more sold out jingle
Ball tickets at twelve ten with McCabe and then three
ten with mikey V and Gianna. Mike's doing mornings and afternoons,
tired on an animal, Billy and Lisa. So, Lisa, are
you doing trick or treating this year?
Speaker 6 (03:44):
All right?
Speaker 8 (03:45):
So Riley's fifteen, so he might head out with his friends,
but I'm not going to be going out like as
an adult, Okay, walking around with him?
Speaker 9 (03:53):
Probably not, mikey V. I'm assuming no, I'm I might
hand out candy at my house. I'm not going to
your now. Okay, kids, I'm not going to walk around
my cats.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Well I have good news for you both right here.
How about this Airheads? You know, Airheads of candy. They're
giving people a chance to win a creepy decoy boy.
This is a legitimate thing, and they're telling people the
fake kid. The fake decoy boy is a way for
adults to go trigger treating and not get hounded for
being too old. So you can go around people's houses
(04:23):
and get candy with this fake child. It's like a
babe that goes like a carrot. It has a wagon.
It's a little boy in a wagon. Looks like Frankenstein.
Speaker 6 (04:31):
It's so creepy.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
It's so creepy, but it works.
Speaker 12 (04:34):
For too long, getting older has been giving up the
joy of trick or treating. Luckily, Airheads has a solution,
the decoy Boy.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Treat Airheads please. Oh I'm sorry, Is this your child?
Speaker 12 (04:48):
Yeah? The decoy boy is a humanoid robot with innovative
candy extracting technology that makes it socially acceptable for you
to go trick or treating.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Please place Airheads into my human hand. Could I have
one more? Please?
Speaker 10 (05:03):
Please?
Speaker 4 (05:04):
Please?
Speaker 12 (05:06):
And in case of emergency, there's always tantrum mode.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Oh yay, it is. Somebody needs to give that marketing
guy a race. Yeah, I was just gonna say, great marketing. Yeah,
so obviously it sounds like it's fake. It's actually a
real thing. You can go to the Airhead's website and
enter to win this decoy boy thing.
Speaker 8 (05:27):
I have to tell you go to their instagram and
check it out because it looks so creepy, but it
does look real.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Yeah. Yeah. And by the way, like you know, we
do trick or treating every year. We spend some of
the time at the house, and there's always older people
that come in candy by themselves. Yeah, like they're dressed up,
but they're clearly like nineteen or twenty.
Speaker 6 (05:46):
Yeah, the older kids.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
What is the year that he stopped trick or treating?
Speaker 6 (05:49):
Okay, so that depends on the kid.
Speaker 8 (05:51):
But it's usually eighth grade, you know, like fourteen thirteen, fourteen,
age out of it.
Speaker 9 (05:58):
Yeah, I think I remember, Yeah, probably that around that
time or like freshman year in high school of framing him.
But like you started doing it for like fun, because
you and your friends, like she's get out of the
house and walk around the house and I mean walk
around the neighborhood with all your friends exactly.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Yeah, yeah, I can't remember. Well, there was an incident
when I was younger with trick or treating. I had
an older cousin that was like probably four or five
years older, and you know, he was into some trouble.
I wasn't there yet, and I had Adjason Friday the
thirteenth mask my mom bought me and with fake blood,
and she asked me to go upstairs because my cousin
lived upstairs, and have him put the blood on. So
(06:34):
I went upstairs and he did, and then I went
out trick or treating. And so I was probably about
like nine or ten years old, and I remember all
night I was going up the doors and they were
looking at me weird, the people, but I didn't know why.
And so I get home and I walk in the house.
My mom looks at my mask and she's like, what
is on there? Now? I can't say on the radio
what he drew on the forehead of the mask, but
(06:56):
just the most defensive thing in the entire world. And
there I plus trick or treating, like, yeah, it was
traumatized me. So I never dressed up again after that.
Why do I see justin me the one that like
steals all the kids candy back in the day. Uh no,
you know I did the whole like toilet paper thing. Yeah,
you know, you toilet paper, like the tree in front
of people's houses. I did that stuff.
Speaker 9 (07:17):
Is it weird that when I see that now, if
I do see it, I'm like, oh, I'm happy that
kids are still.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Doing something like that. I mean, it's better than being
in their house on their phones. Fashion. Yeah, I'm just
saying so, Yeah, it's on a Friday this year, Halloween.
Speaker 6 (07:30):
Yeah, that's good. This is this is going to be
a really good weekend.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Which is really good for the kids. Now, list, I
know you live kind of on the main street, do
you we never.
Speaker 6 (07:37):
Get trigger treaters?
Speaker 8 (07:39):
Like our first year when we moved in, I had
all this candy and yeah, our driveways a long, and
we're on the other side of the street, so the
sidewalk is on the other is on the opposite side.
Speaker 6 (07:48):
So yeah, so we like never get anyone.
Speaker 9 (07:50):
I actually am the perfect spot off a dead end
called the sac but we also don't. And I was
actually thinking about this the other day. Is it simply
because families aren't having as many kids.
Speaker 8 (08:00):
I think it's I think they go to neighborhoods now
where they can get the most bang for their buck.
Speaker 6 (08:05):
It's just that's what you do.
Speaker 8 (08:06):
So we like always go to like this other neighborhood
and it's like super easy to walk around.
Speaker 6 (08:11):
They can hit like two hundred houses.
Speaker 9 (08:13):
And what you're saying is you don't think that they
think that I'm going to give away the good candy.
Speaker 13 (08:16):
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (08:17):
I meanside bars like upgrade, you should be given out
full candy.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
Yeah, upgrade, you've made it to a point exactly. That's
another argument. Another debate too, is dropping the kids off
at different neighborhoods. Yeah, better neighborhood. They do it in
my neighborhood in Sad New Hampshire they drop the kids off,
which I'm fine with. Your neighborhood is a winning neighbor's
a winning neighborhood for sure. But I see people I've
never seen in my life.
Speaker 8 (08:40):
Well, we usually go to a neighborhood where we have friends,
so it's not like it's like the neighborhood we've never
been to.
Speaker 6 (08:45):
But yeah, yeah it happens.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Well, I'm looking forward to Halloween. Howd you go in
to Mikey's house for Halloween trick or treating? Like, what's
going on in that house? Come on? Come on, hey,
I got a hot tub. Oh, don't make you have
a hot time too.
Speaker 6 (09:01):
So I need to come.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
To all of our hats anyway, Coming up next, Lisa
has the Entertainment Report, and Taylor again in the news.
Speaker 8 (09:10):
Liase, Yeah, I love that she's defending her album and
we'll tell you why.
Speaker 6 (09:14):
Billy and Lisa.
Speaker 8 (09:15):
Now the Entertainment Update with a Billy Costa.
Speaker 6 (09:19):
On Kiss One Away.
Speaker 8 (09:21):
Okay, so Billy's not here. He's in Africa, so you
haven't heard his voice today, but I'm going to fill
in for him and do the best I can. We've
got a lot of really amazing entertainment news. Ed Sharon,
who is headlining our sold out jingle Ball in December fourteenth,
announced a new Netflix project with the Adolescence director from Netflix.
It's called One Shot with Ed Sharon. So the thing
(09:44):
is is that it's captured in one continuous take.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Just like Adolescents was right, that's crazy.
Speaker 8 (09:51):
Yeah, So it follows Ed on a journey through the
streets of New York City. He gives impromptu performances on
sidewalks in subways, So that's pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Yeah, I think it's easy for Ed. He does it
all the time. I don't think he's worried about it.
The adolescent show is a little bit different because you
have a bunch of different actors acting. If they mess up,
they have to stock the scene all over again, the
whole episode all over again. Yeah. Ed's so talented.
Speaker 9 (10:14):
I still remember when eighteen before eighteen came out, like
years and years and years ago. We had an aval
with him at a ra station I was working at
and he came. Nothing was working, not one speaker, not
one microphone. He said, don't worry, everybody's sitting in the circle.
He played, just him and his guitar. And remember, like,
this guy is talented. To have anyone do a one shot,
it's Ed chair.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Yeah. And by the way, one time he came into
this radio station and it was like all these emails
about you know, don't look them in the eye. It's
a big star. They snuck him in and meanwhile he
comes in. I'm standing there, I say hi to him.
I dropped my phone and I was probably nervous, and
he jumped down and picked up my phone for me.
Goes here you go, mate, the nicest guy over, nicest guy.
Speaker 6 (10:51):
Yeah, he's so down to earth, all right.
Speaker 8 (10:53):
So he was in New York City yesterday because you
know how he loves to pop up on like street corners.
He did two performances, won by himself and then one
with Megan mulroney.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Camera caption tonight performance. I watched the video on this.
It's literally the smallest room. He's sitting on a coach
strumming the guitar so much.
Speaker 6 (11:22):
He's so talented.
Speaker 8 (11:22):
One of his best friends is Taylor Swift, and she
responded to fans who are saying that they don't like
the new album The Life of a Showgirl.
Speaker 14 (11:32):
The rule of show business is if it's the first
week of my album release and you are saying either
my name or my album title, you're helping. I have
a lot of respect for people's subjective opinions on art.
I'm not the art, please. It's like everybody is allowed
to feel exactly how they want, and what our goal
(11:52):
is as entertainers is to be a mirror.
Speaker 6 (11:55):
And I think people just need to calm down a
little bit, right, Joy, This is Taylor loving life.
Speaker 8 (12:03):
She's in love right now, and I have to say.
She also mentioned in this interview that for people that
didn't like the Reputation album, now like years later, they're
older and they've had more life experience, and now they're
reconnecting to some of these songs that they said they
didn't like, you know, on that album.
Speaker 6 (12:19):
So I just love that she's like clapping back.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Listen. I like the album. I think it's full of bangers.
That's I don't know.
Speaker 8 (12:30):
Me too, but it is divided like you either really
like it or you really don't.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Some people don't like the lyrics. They're a little bit
too raunchy.
Speaker 6 (12:37):
See, that's where they have to calm down.
Speaker 8 (12:39):
Like that song would I think it's so cute and
so funny, creative, so creative. Yeah, and anyway, So she
also when she was unfalloned, he asked her, like what
she's been listening to, and she's like, I'm listening to
the new Tate McCrae song.
Speaker 14 (12:55):
Oh, Tate McCrae has a great new song called for Tad.
You got to listen to it. It's good and my
full volume over and over again on repeat.
Speaker 7 (13:05):
All Right.
Speaker 8 (13:05):
I love that so good and we love Tate, and
Tate was like overwhelmed yesterday when she found out that
like Taylor has her song like as her number one,
and she was like, oh my god.
Speaker 6 (13:16):
What she was posting on Instagram?
Speaker 1 (13:18):
Dude, that clip one online, right and it aired the
other night, and the kid LaRoy wherever he was, was like, no.
Speaker 9 (13:25):
Yeah, song's all about him. Yeah, to pull the current back.
So kid Larroy put out a song I think it's
called coldplay. I think it's called Coldplay, and it's basically
saying he couldn't fix Tate McCrae and all this, and
in the song, this is Tate mcray's a clapback song.
And she was like, first off, fix yourself and I'll
beat you to anything. Let's go song for song. I
had more hits.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
I was like, whoa, she laid the hammer down there
and now she got the Taylor bump. But I will
say I'm a big Kiddler fan. I like it right, Yeah, No,
I I like them both.
Speaker 8 (13:53):
Yeah, he's so talented, all right. Speaking of Fallin, Jayla
was on Fallon last night. He said, quite the week
of guests. She's providing her new film, Kiss of the
Spider Woman that she did with Ben Affleck and she
then talked about Bad Bunny and the super Bowl.
Speaker 13 (14:06):
Him and Jay Balvin did the super Bowl with us
that year. So he has a bo He actually has
a leg up because if he knows it a little
bit so terrifying if you've never done it, it really is.
It's the biggest stage in the world. You know, people
really who don't know you get to know you, and
you have to show everybody who you are in like
fifteen minutes, yeah or less, like me and Shigear split it,
(14:27):
so it was like seven and a half minutes.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
Eas most of they're setting up the stage, and so
he has.
Speaker 13 (14:31):
That time and they're setting up the stage and it's
nerve wrecked.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
It's crazy.
Speaker 6 (14:36):
He's done it.
Speaker 13 (14:36):
He's been there, he's been in the room, he's felt it.
Speaker 6 (14:39):
So I think he's going to crush I agree, he's
going to crush it.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
I think so. Yeah. I think it's gonna be a
good performance. I think it's made a great performance. I mean,
I don't speak Spanish, I won't be understanding what he's saying.
But I don't think it really matters even if you
don't speak Spanish. I remember going to a show.
Speaker 9 (14:55):
I felt my park, but like it's just a fun vibe. Yeah,
Like it's always a good energy.
Speaker 6 (14:58):
It's very dancy.
Speaker 8 (15:00):
Everyone's on their feet, so and I like that Jayla
Jayleen makes like such a good point, Like he's lived
it already, so he knows what to expect.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Yeah, he got a taste. Yeah, But isn't it funny
we were just talking about Taylor and everyone up in arms.
This is another story that everyone's up in arms about
the super Bowl with bad money. People just want to complain.
Speaker 9 (15:17):
Just when did the world get to this place where
it's like you're quicker to complain than you are to
be happy.
Speaker 6 (15:21):
Man, Kay, I know what's so angry?
Speaker 1 (15:23):
Just enjoy it.
Speaker 9 (15:23):
Just enjoy life, enjoy the album, enjoy the performance, enjoy everything.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
It's all about perspective.
Speaker 8 (15:28):
Well, you know who has always had a great perspective
and has always enjoyed life is Dolly Parton. I think
we can all agree to that, right, Like, she's always
had such a great message.
Speaker 6 (15:38):
So she's not doing well.
Speaker 8 (15:39):
She's very sick, and her sister actually put out a
note on Instagram saying that if we could all please
pray for her. She believes in the power of prayer
as like a group and is healing. And I guess
Dolly's really sick. And she postponed her shows in Vegas
because of it last week. So I'm hoping that this
is not something more serious.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
We don't know anything about it, really. I love Dolly Parton.
Speaker 8 (16:03):
I know she's an icon and everyone loves her, and
she does have that goodness about her.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Yeah, we looked it up to she's seventy eight years
old now too.
Speaker 6 (16:11):
Yeah, she's getting up there.
Speaker 8 (16:13):
Miley Cyrus, who is Dolly's goddaughter by the way, says
that she's the first celebrity to be canceled. So when
she went from Disney Star to releasing her Banger's album,
it was a problem.
Speaker 10 (16:23):
I was the first person to maybe ever be canceled.
Speaker 6 (16:25):
I guess, how would you describe that time in your life?
Speaker 10 (16:28):
Well, you know, I didn't know until I was older
actually how brutal it really was, because it was very
I guess, you know, challenging for other people, but for me,
it was a good time.
Speaker 9 (16:42):
Yeah, she was living life that during that era of Miley,
she was definitely uh, living her best life and doing
whatever heck. She wants you Proba didn't even know that,
but it was mad at her or feel a certain
way about her.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
Yeah, she came away though pretty much on top. Still.
You know, people love her.
Speaker 9 (16:58):
And he said this earlier too, but at that but
here is that I was like twenty thirty thirteen, social
media wasn't at the point it is now. Yeah, so
now that everybody has a goes crazy saying all this
wild things.
Speaker 8 (17:10):
But I felt bad for her because she took it.
And then Robin Thick kind of skated.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Yeah, well, how's he doing now?
Speaker 6 (17:17):
I know exactly.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Yeah, where's Robin Thick? Doesn't he host? I think he
hosted some kind of show.
Speaker 6 (17:21):
He does, but he Yeah, did he have a.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Little controversy He did a little bit too. Yeah, yeah
he did. He did, and with a female.
Speaker 8 (17:28):
You know who is on fire as well as jelly roll.
He has a new single out it's called Heart of Stone.
And he's always had number one hits anytime he's come
out with a song on the country charts.
Speaker 6 (17:39):
Eight of them, they've all hit number one.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Does not hold the record, though Luke Holmes does with
fourteen Oh wow, yeah, but again, enjoy it.
Speaker 9 (17:46):
I mean, I mean He's was originally a hip hop
artist and then he became a country Artist's pretty wild,
a big transformation from jelly Roll. And he has a
good song with that's your local Guy joining Lucas.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
He's out of oster. Listen framing him now. Yeah, jelly
Roll is such a great dude. He's a great art
but he's also big on helping younger artists, other artists,
you know, mentoring people. He's got a great story, and
he's down two hundred pounds. Let's not forget about that.
Speaker 6 (18:08):
That's the other struggle too. Wright is right.
Speaker 7 (18:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (18:11):
I love his wife too. I follow her on Instagram.
Speaker 8 (18:13):
Oh Bunny, Yeah, yeah, you talk about like goodness again,
like good positive energy.
Speaker 9 (18:17):
Yeah, and Justin he's known for going to jails and
actually helping out people are in jail.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Yeah he missed. I forget which award show it was.
He won an award an award show. Yeah, you had
to go to this juvenile facility to speak to them,
which that's a special place in my heart. So shout
out to him.
Speaker 9 (18:31):
And a good thing we talked about earlier today is
like if you're going through something or your life's not great,
he didn't get out of jail. I don't think until
thirty seven years old didn't start making country.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
He's until forty years old. And look at him, right,
It's never more late. It's never too late, never too late.
Speaker 8 (18:46):
It might be too late for my next story. I
just love this story. I don't know why, all right.
So we've been talking about Bill Belichick at UNC. He
had supposedly he was going to have this documentary about
his first year at UNC with Hard Knocks, and then
that fell through because his girlfriend Jordan was you know,
trying to get too much, you know, credit, and wanted
(19:08):
to be too involved in the project. So they moved along.
So Hulu came up and said, hey, you know what
we're going to do one Well, supposedly this docu series
has also been asked by Hulu.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
You think it's because of her one hundred percent.
Speaker 8 (19:20):
I I personally think he's not doing that great this
season and maybe.
Speaker 6 (19:25):
He doesn't want this to be you know, filmed.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
Yeah, the season's not going well for Bill.
Speaker 11 (19:30):
That's what I get for putting Jordan in charge of
recruiting christ I knew she didn't put together the Seven
Patriots or anything, but I didn't realize how bad she me,
Oh god.
Speaker 6 (19:41):
They're two and three.
Speaker 9 (19:43):
Yeah, he's been not a huge UNC fan. How are
they years prior? Well, I have to look it up.
They did have Drake May, that's true.
Speaker 8 (19:53):
Right, And then the story is is that Bill Belichick
refused to post anything on social about Drake game last
week against the Bills, which is so wild.
Speaker 9 (20:02):
Think about probably las quarterback to ever come from there
had a huge game and you can't post.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
About it that.
Speaker 6 (20:07):
It's very petty, so patty.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
And he also banned Patriot scouts from UNC, which hurts
the players because that's a pro team that they could
potentially go to.
Speaker 6 (20:16):
Yeah, this is a weird one. This is a weird one. Yeah, definitely,
all right.
Speaker 8 (20:20):
And then another weird story is that Lebron came out
yesterday saying he had the decision of all decisions and
he was posting and then it was just an ad
basically for Hennessy.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
Yeah. I feel like this, I really do. Sorry, producer,
I hate this. This is like, why would you do
you need the money? Do you need the endorsement that much?
You know? Like everyone tuned in. I was excited. I
wanted to see what the announcement was. He's going to retire.
It's a big deal.
Speaker 9 (20:44):
It also deflates when he does retire, and that big
speech today does give at some point the boy who
cried Wolf.
Speaker 12 (20:50):
Right, I feel like he's going to give me the
best opportunity to win more at hosting.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
Not only that, win a signature cocktails, when I have
a good time, when had a pressing guests. We didn't
making memory, We adn't making it look easy. Shut up.
We at leaving people wanting more. It's like my son, right,
he's eight years old, and like you know, he's very active.
So like when he's in school, he's not going on
the move, right, he sees kids walk by the class,
(21:14):
he wants to go see them, wants to like go
chat it up. So he has to go to the
bathroom a lot, you know. And so it's gone to
the point where like he actually has to go to
the bathroom and they're like no, He's like no, but
I really really have to and they're like no, you've
asked ten times already.
Speaker 15 (21:26):
You know.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
It's the boy cried Wolf.
Speaker 6 (21:28):
So yeah, Lebron, what are you doing right? Bross?
Speaker 8 (21:31):
All right, well, this hour's Entertainment Report is brought to
you by Wilson a Farm, pumpkins, moms, and hot cider donuts.
Speaker 1 (21:38):

Speaker 8 (21:39):

Speaker 1 (21:55):
Tomorrow is Thursday.
Speaker 6 (21:58):
Okay, tomorrow is Thursday.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
That's the way you got to look at it.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
From the Planet Fitness Kids run Away Studios, We're back
with Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 1 (22:09):
Hey, good morning everybody. Welcome back. A rainy day today
on this Wednesday morning, all day, right, Lisa, Oh.
Speaker 8 (22:15):
Yeah, it's gonna and attempt's going to drop from like
the seventies to like the low sixties by this afternoon.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
Yeah, it's a seventy degrees right now, but it's going
to get colder and then the rest of the week
cold as.
Speaker 6 (22:25):
Well, very cold frost on Friday.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
Yeah, we should check out the weather around the world though,
maybe like in Africa, because our home, Billy cost It
is live in Africa on Safari. Dude, what up?
Speaker 7 (22:39):
Well, first, of all, thank you for that weather update.
And I have this question for you now. Am I
hearing about a nor' easter coming in as we're flying home?
Speaker 8 (22:48):
Oh, we don't want to start with the bad news,
but here, yeah, so supposedly. I mean they're watching it. Bill,
it might not happen, but they're saying, like, Sunday into.
Speaker 7 (22:56):
Monday Sunday in what do you know? We're flying Sunday
into Monday only perfect timing.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
And it's not just that too. The government shutdown is
affecting air traffic controllers and they're not showing up to
work because they're not getting paid.
Speaker 6 (23:11):
So it's causing major delays.
Speaker 7 (23:15):
So at least to what exactly is that going to
mean at the airports? I guess I'll be fine to London.
Speaker 8 (23:21):
Yeah, but I'm telling you you could have delays coming
back because of this.
Speaker 7 (23:27):
Boy, maybe we'll make it home for next year's go
on today, they don't have.
Speaker 6 (23:33):
Some airline news exactly.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Bill's gonna personally pay somebody show.
Speaker 7 (23:37):
I'll come home with airline news, which we love on
the Billion and Lisa morning shows. So I just want
to tell you, I don't know if you're getting a
clear picture but where we are now, at the high
which is our happy place, there's a watering hole, night
watering hole right behind us, like feet away from past
feet away. There starkills at night and dinner at night.
(23:58):
And it's not I just want to least that we're
sitting having cocktails.
Speaker 15 (24:02):
It was a beautiful night, a beautiful moon, and within
feet of us, a giant hippopotamus came out of the
watering hole, walking toward us as though he wanted a cocktail.
Speaker 8 (24:16):
Do you understand I actually fear them more than lions
in the wild?
Speaker 7 (24:21):
Right, they're pretty large. Well, let me ask, now, are
they mammals? Donal?
Speaker 5 (24:27):
They are mammals. And this one, this is a tanker.
His name is.
Speaker 7 (24:32):
And you say he's a tanker? Is he a friendly
tanker or a kind of CRANKI banker?
Speaker 5 (24:38):
Luckily he only but he does have a little bit
of a temper sometimes wow.
Speaker 7 (24:43):
And when get in the course of the day, all
types of animals fly to take.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Connection. Can you move over a little bit and move around?
Your connection is bad?
Speaker 7 (24:55):
Oh my connecting BELLI Now let's walk over in this direction.
Usually it's a little bit cool.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
We're taking people right to Africa. Right now.
Speaker 7 (25:05):
Thank you for saying that, justin because there's something else
I wanted to make today. We were out on the
afternoon so far, and when I tend to it, we
were ending five feet off.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
This isn't good, Bill, You're you're completely breaking up.
Speaker 7 (25:23):
At least on.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Hold for a minute.
Speaker 6 (25:28):
Yeah, all right, connections bad.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Do we think Tanker is going to do anything crazy
to Bill?
Speaker 8 (25:32):
I'm telling you because they're fast on land, but they're
even quicker in the water. That's the thing with with hippos. Yeah,
and rhinos, like they're just insanely fast and like all muscle.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
And Billy and his wife Michelle are right up close
and personal with these animals. If you get Billy's Instagram
at the Billy Costa, his wife Michelle is putting together
these great reels of showing just how close they are
to these animals. You just posted one two minutes ago too.
Oh he did, yeah, right before he called us. I
got a watched that yesterday. He was with the school children,
which I really liked. You know, Bill loves the kids.
But yeah, this is his dream. Man is to not
(26:06):
her dream. I should say that he's going along.
Speaker 6 (26:08):
With He's a good husband.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
He has started to enjoy it. I think halfway through
the last trip he started like that's Billy Billy.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
You know.
Speaker 8 (26:14):
He will go kicking and screaming into anything, and then
he'll be like, oh my god, this is the best
thing ever.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Oh, it happens all the time. You know where that
happened recently with him. So there's this new restaurant in
the South End that he shot at, right, his hot
new restaurant, And he was like, oh, you know, it's
a hot new restaurant. I'm sure it's great, but everyone's
going crazy about how it's this hot spot in Boston.
Oh god, okay, fine, I'll go shoot there next day.
He comes in, right, Mikey, Yeah, dude, you got to
go to the spot in the South.
Speaker 6 (26:39):
End all he talked about it.
Speaker 8 (26:41):
I actually went that weekend because he was like, you
at least you would love it.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
Yeah, it's Capri Capri.
Speaker 6 (26:47):
It's amazing.
Speaker 9 (26:48):
Oh yeah, I mean he's like the most talked about
restaurant in Boston and it's beautiful.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
Yeah. All right, we got Bill back on. Let's see
if he has a better connection. Dude. All right, there you.
Speaker 7 (27:00):
Go, Okay, before we disconnect again, I know, I get
tons of DM and when I get home, people are
going to be bombarding me about Safari and how we
get here and how it happens Dan. Now, how can
people plan a trip out here?
Speaker 5 (27:14):
Yeah? So people want to join us? Similar trip to
the one that Billy and Michelle. Right now, you can
go to Atlas the number one expeditions dot com and
set up for our newsletter for information about future tips.
Speaker 7 (27:25):
And before we have to say goodbye from Zimbabwe. One
more thing. Did I hear that Bellachick's docu series has
already been camping?
Speaker 8 (27:35):
That's supposedly Lisa did cover that story. It was the
number one story. I couldn't wait to get to it.
Speaker 7 (27:43):
Oh, I couldn't wait to get to what I got
in Africa. Woman is the biggest month.
Speaker 6 (27:52):
CDIL.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
Everything's good.
Speaker 7 (27:54):
She's gonna ruin him? What is going on with her?
Speaker 6 (27:58):
Yeah, it's pretty bad.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
I don't know if you got the update. They lost
again right this past weekend they got smoked UNC and
the story is that Drake May beat the bills right
and they he he banned all social media posts from
the UNC account about Drake May because Drake May went
to U n Z. Yeah. How petty. Is that.
Speaker 7 (28:18):
Because so he's shot that as she is.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
Yeah, that's what it seems unless she's controlling everything.
Speaker 7 (28:26):
Wow, it's fascinating to me that this is all I
can talk about from Africa.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
You know. It's like you take Billy out of him.
We're taking the entertainment out of him. You know, it's crazy,
Mike ev more thing.
Speaker 7 (28:39):
Okay, did we get stranded because of the uh the
air down? Not so much? Back to Tsa. Can you
sell one of your wealthy friends and have him up
and one.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
Yeah, one second, I'm gonna call it you. Yeah, you're
the guy Bill wealthy from.
Speaker 6 (28:58):
Billy at least that own money goun away Easie.
Speaker 12 (29:02):
I just wanted to say that it's pretty funny though.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
Your wife happened to stop by my house in Duxbury
and she was wondering if we were.
Speaker 6 (29:13):
Selling it for a client.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
So I thought that was kind of funny because she
gave us her card and I didn't realize who she was.
Speaker 5 (29:21):
Until I looked her up.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
So I thought that was just a funny thing to
let you know.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
Wow, she's hustling the streets. I love that, I'm telling Yeah, yeah,
your wife Kelsey does real estate.
Speaker 9 (29:32):
Yeah, full time in real estate, and that's one of
the hardest part is, you know, trying to find somebody
who wants to sell a house or wants to, you know,
make a transaction and you go door knock and you
gotta work the roads, the hustling.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
Yeah, oh that's really cool. Wow, they call it driving
for dollars? Is that real? That's car Yeah, driving for dollars.
How often does it work?
Speaker 7 (29:50):
Uh?
Speaker 9 (29:51):
Well, I think it's one of those things where you
have to do it a thousand times to get two wins.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
Yeah, that's tough. That is tough. You have Halloween costumes,
yet we do not be talked about it.
Speaker 9 (30:00):
Yesterday, I remember we were saying that I could we
could be Bella checking his girl fingers.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
Kelsey cheered for the.
Speaker 6 (30:04):
Kelse you think of it?
Speaker 1 (30:05):
She was like, Nope, no, what about Travis and Taylor possibility?
But I feel like that one's overdone.
Speaker 6 (30:13):
What about the Cold Play couple?
Speaker 1 (30:14):
That one? I like that one too. That one's good too.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
Hey morning, crew, I know you were talking about Halloween
costumes yesterday. Just had an idea for Mikey and the wife.
I don't know if she's read the a Gatar series,
but they could totally pull off and Parah.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
Have a great Day Greece and and Pharah Avatar. You
gotta look them up. They have a resemblance to you
and Kelsey. Really they think they do. Yeah, I have
it to our hole, I okay? Or like she can
do what she does every day. You get a briefcase
and you could be like a door to door salesman.
(30:51):
There I come. Some things just makes sense, you know
what I mean? Kids?
Speaker 2 (31:00):
One to wait, it's the morning wrap up on Billy
and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
All right, let's wrap things up here on this Wednesday morning.
Thank you to everybody who listens to the show and
joined us today for the fun that we had. Let's
start with this. The col Loun is downsizing. They're gonna
be tearing down the iconic landmark on Root one. They're
gonna have apartments in a smaller, scaled down version of Kyllloon.
And we mentioned the Coloun because it's a legend. It's legendary.
(31:25):
I mean, we love the colun Morning guys.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
I had a chime in. I went to Kowloon after
my junior prom. We sat in the giant pirate ship
thing and then last summer my nephews were here visiting
from Ohio. They're twelve and eight, and we brought them
to Kowloun and we sat in that giant pirate ship
and they had.
Speaker 6 (31:46):
A bull ab.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
Yeah. So it's just gonna be a much smaller spot.
Speaker 9 (31:49):
So many memories there and one thing justin. I don't
know if you know this, but my brother Frankie, who
does the afternoon show with me and Gianna, he dated
the owner's stepdaughter for years growing up.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
Always there. Yeah, I wonder which one I can tell
you if Nicholls her name, Bobby stepdaughter, Oh, Bobby one.
I don't know if it's a Stanley and Bobby.
Speaker 6 (32:08):
Bobby comes in all the time on this show.
Speaker 1 (32:10):
We love Bobby. They're also great. Yeah, they're amazing. Shout
out to the Colune. Also, this morning we had our
topic time and it started with mikey V in a
conversation we had off the air about random jobs that
he had. So he was a gymnastics teacher, mikey V
who's sitting in for Billy, which is a little weird,
but even more weird a child gymnastics teacher.
Speaker 9 (32:29):
Also, as we said that one of my friends text
and said, my daughter goes there, teacher.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
Is Mikey just flipping the little guys. But yeah, that
was that topic time. A lot of people joining in
on this, which we love.
Speaker 4 (32:43):
One of my favorite jobs and to this day when
I tell people, they think it's crazy.
Speaker 6 (32:48):
I was a motivational dancer.
Speaker 14 (32:51):
For if you remember Romeo, he had.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
A DJ company and we would basically entertain the children
at miss.
Speaker 6 (33:03):
Oh my god. She was one of the Mitzvah dancers.
Speaker 9 (33:05):
Yes, Romeo who used to work for years on Kiss.
He had Paris productions. I didd a million bar mitsas.
Even at one point I had my wife would come
as as like a motivational dancer because you hire like
two girls that are bar Mitzvah.
Speaker 7 (33:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
Yeah, I actually worked for Romeo. That's right. I got
my DJ stuck. He's the one that kind of helped
and train me and I used to go to those events.
I wonder if I know.
Speaker 6 (33:24):
Her, I might And now he's a Jet Blue pilot.
Speaker 9 (33:28):
Now he's a Jet Blue pilot. I still hope that
still good friends at Romeo. He's awesome. But that I
get in a Jet Blue flight and it's like, hey,
this is your pilot, so and sound, I'm like, is
that really him?
Speaker 8 (33:39):
It's actually ran into him at Logan recently with his daughter.
He was going on a flight. He wasn't flying the plane.
Speaker 9 (33:45):
For years, me and him because he would like four
seater planes and we would take them together every weekend,
like Nantucket.
Speaker 1 (33:50):
Or on those planes. Oh I always did. We had
so much fun every weekend. By the way, shout out
to Romeo. Like when I started working for him in DJing,
you know, I knew he was a good dj obviously,
he worked on Kiss for years. So he was up
there DJing at this event and then the people weren't dancing,
they weren't getting up, and he got down on the
dance floor and started dancing. Oh wow, he's a good
(34:11):
dancer too, So shout out to him. I did not
know that. Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 4 (34:14):
Weird job story. So back in the day, I worked
for a movie store and we did a to the
Rock and Shot convention in Wister, and we we had
different guests and different people that were in our booth
and whatever, and there was this guy that was walking
around that somebody told me to make sure you help
him out with like whatever he wants. I was helping
him out. Sweetest Little Guy, British accent, suspenders, super sweet,
(34:40):
find out he's a human centipede? Good?
Speaker 1 (34:43):
Oh, the human centipede. That's that crazy movie. Has anybody
seen it? It's a vicious, vicious horror movie. Yeah, it's
pretty rough. Wow, that's crazy. I used to love movie
stores when I was younger. Yeah, oh yeah, like Blockbuster.
Speaker 6 (34:57):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 9 (34:57):
It was always fun when you were a kid and
mom and dad like, hey, we're gonna go to whatever
Blockbuster movie Loft or whatever it was, and you would
go pick out a movie and do.
Speaker 8 (35:04):
You remember they would have a wall of new releases
and every box would be empty because everyone got there
before you.
Speaker 1 (35:10):
Especially on a Friday, or and dog used to go
home and stream it.
Speaker 8 (35:14):
You didn't get it yet, get it, You're like when
did it come back in?
Speaker 1 (35:18):
Like, oh, they're gonna return on Monday. Yeah, oh yeah.
And then some of them Blockbuster No, but there were
other ones where they had the sectioned off, the section
you could know right in the back room for the
adults only. I was always wondering what's going on there
in the background. Yeah, it wasn't allowed back then. Wow. Memories.
Mikey v. Thank you once again for sitting in for Billy.
We appreciated doing double duty. You can hear Mikey V
(35:40):
this afternoon with Gianna and his brother Frankie on Kiss
When Away. But coming up next we have McKay. We
love them
