back from a vacation. Speaking of back, it's back to

(00:33):
school week. I think it's Wooster starts today public schools. Yeah,
so here we go back to school season. Lisa's son
Max is going to be moving off to college this week.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
And the big drop off.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Oh boy, A lot going on. And first and foremost, yes,
we all have vacation stories to tell and we will
share at six forty this morning. Market down, folks, if
you're listening, we have vacation stories, tales from the vacations.

Speaker 5 (01:06):
Well, there are some questions regarding our vacations that we
have to answer for our audience.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Yes, yep, yes, a lot of people's curiosity was sparked
somehow over the vacations. But Lisa was everywhere. Justin and
I were down in Peton and when he was out
at Jonas Conn. So we all have stories to tell
and we'll do that at six forty and how big
is this? This morning on the Billy and Lisa Morning Show,
precisely at a ten Karen Reid's the lawyer David Ynetti

(01:34):
is going to be joining us live in studio. You
talked to him yesterday, Lisa.

Speaker 6 (01:39):
I did, and I had when I got on the
phone with him, I said, you don't understand.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
You're like a rock start of it.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
He's so great.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Yeah, he's been up. I've been texting with him this morning.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Yeah. I did some reading up on him over the
weekend too. I found out something that shocked me. I
had no idea through two years of the trials, I
didn't know that. A two o'clock in the morning the
night of the incident, Karen Reid herself called David Ynetti. Yes, oh,
well the night of the incident. I was blown away

(02:11):
the whole story. Oh yeah, he.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
Knew something was fishy right from the beginning.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
He did.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
Wow. And so much going on in the city while
we were away, Well, the best week ever. We gave
that away as a grand prize, right. Morgan Wallen was
in town this past weekend. The Jonas Brothers had their
sould Out show out at Chillette stadium. Jonas Kahn. I
saw some of the videos and I know you were
there whenning and you can break it down for us later.

(02:36):
But Jonas Kahn was packed.

Speaker 6 (02:39):
It was packed, it was huge. I had so much
like Foma. I was like, oh my god, I want
to be there. It looks so amazing.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Yeah, so we're going to break down the Morgan Wallin show.
We're going to break down the Jonas Brothers coming up
in the entertainment at seven ten this morning. And don't
forget Chris Brown is out at Fenway Park tonight, Tate
mccraid tomorrow night and the following night the Tea sold
out shows. I need to get this in tomorrow. Tuesday
is Tate Tuesday, and all day tomorrow we're giving away

(03:08):
last minute tickets for Tate McCrae and the TV Garden
and we'll start right at a ten tomorrow morning on
the Billion Lease some morning show.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
And that's all day too.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
So if you've missed out on the Tate tickets sold out,
they sold out very quickly. Yeah, we'll have them for
you tomorrow. Can I add one thing in I just
want to open up to our audience, people that are
listening to the show. If you want to leave talkbacks
with any questions you have for David Yanetti regarding the
cut Karen Reid trial, send them in. We might play
them for.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Him live on the air. How about that. You can,
like you'll be interviewing David Yannette, you can ask your
own questions of them. Okay, we're going to have them
in so you can start sending the talkbacks now.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Yeah, take the pressure off, Bill.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Yeah, you know what, you know, Lisa and I will
just sit here let them ask all the questions. Yeah,
but I know Lisa's got a ton of questions. I
have a ton of questions, and everybody listening have a
ton of questions.

Speaker 6 (04:01):
Can I just tell you a little story about how
this actually happened the interview? My son Max is very
one of his best friends is Asa who we've had
on the show.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
Is that the one you hit his call?

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (04:13):
Okay, So two years ago when the first trial happened,
He's sitting in our kitchen and we're having a discussion
and he goes, you know what, missus Donovan, you know
that guy David Yanetti, the lawyer for Karen Reid.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
I'm related to him. And I said, why kidding me?

Speaker 6 (04:30):
So finally now after the trials, you know, his mother,
you know, kind of hooked us up. And I want
to thank Emily and ASA for making this happen.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Emily and we love it. He's a funny kid, funny
a funny ki.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
Well you know what that means. Davey and Edti now
our friend Dave.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Is my friend.

Speaker 7 (04:51):
From the planet Fitness. Kiss one O eight Studios. We're
back with a Villy and Lisa in the Morning.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Kiss.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
Hey guys, so welcome back. You have Billy and Lisa
Morning Show is back live on this Monday morning. We're
back from vacation and we all kind of went in
different directions. Lisa, you were kind of hopping all around
over the vacation.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
It was a weird week for me.

Speaker 6 (05:14):
I was down in South Carolina and then I came
back here because Max is getting dropped off at college
for the first time on Wednesday, so that all that
kind of stuff we have to get organized, all this
stuff for his room. And then I went up to
visit my uncle Mark, who we've had on the show,
who owns Rix down in Key West. He says hi
to everybody, and he's got a place up in Maine,

(05:35):
so we went up there for a couple of days
and my parents flew up to celebrate everybody's birthdays.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Well, I know Uncle Mark is in Middleford Pool. I
actually looked it up over the weekend. I said, oh,
I got to look into this Middleford Pool. It's what
a beautiful area.

Speaker 6 (05:49):
Oh my god, gorgeous. And again he says hi to everybody.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Hey Mark, did he break some sort of a record
at a loftter shanty or something up there?

Speaker 6 (05:59):
We went to noon his lobster had up there, which
is like world famous, down and dirty amazing.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
He ordered a three pound lobster.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
Oh yeah, Uncle Mark and I would get along.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Just nicely, just devoured it.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
Can I come up there next time?

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (06:14):
He wants everyone to come coming.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
We do with the billion at least the morning show
and Uncle Mark's po'd be really fun. Oh that'd be cool.

Speaker 5 (06:21):
Now.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Did he have like a bib on for the whole Yeah?

Speaker 6 (06:24):
Yeah, we all had bibs on you Okay, occasionally I.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
Bring in a bib, but uh so you sound get
a fun vacation?

Speaker 3 (06:37):
It was.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
It was fun, honestly, like the max thing is this
is big. I actually had a moment in Target where
I burst into tears.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Oh yeah, bet, good morning everybody.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Welcome back, missed you guys. One week feels like a month,
really does?

Speaker 8 (06:53):
Max?

Speaker 9 (06:54):
Going off to college means I'm one hundred? So yeah,
that's I cannot believe that I'm ancient.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
It's it's yeah, you never forget drop off day.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Yeah, no, I'm still there.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
Is he nervous?

Speaker 4 (07:09):
He is.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Yeah, he said that to me last night.

Speaker 5 (07:12):
Yeah, he'll do just fine.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
But he likes his roommate, his roommates from California. They've
talked on the phone. So yeah, so it's good.

Speaker 5 (07:20):
Yeah, Okay, will there be keg pond as?

Speaker 2 (07:22):
You think there's going to be a lot of let's
not ask his mother. I think it's like a normal.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
You know, it was big when I was in a dorm.
Is they used to you used to pile up the
empty beer cans and turn it into a pyramides in
the dorm room. Does that still happen?

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Well, they drink high noons. Now it could be just
a little bit of a different You can't experience their fruity.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
Yeah. When Max comes to the boat, he always has
four or five of them. So Justin and I had
an unusual trip. Now, I want to start by saying,
uh Town is one of my favorite places on the planet.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
It's it's a happy place. I can see why.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
And to everything, you know, the galleries, the restaurants, and
the people. Everybody is happy there. Nobody's whining and complaining
about anything but Justin and his wife Jen and Mike
and Trish. Rocket took the cruise from Charlestown over to
Petown and it spent a couple of days down there
with us, and Justin and I found ourselves in a

(08:29):
couple of extremely gay scenarios and we were okay with it. Now. Yeah, yes, Justin,
you were parading around Petown wearing these tiny gold Lemmee shorts.
I was the tiniest, tightest shorts I've ever seen.

Speaker 5 (08:48):
Listen, I was embracing at all. It was the gayest
place I've ever been. Yeah, the happiest and most fun place. Yeah,
No one has more fun than the gays, let me
just tell you. And yeah, we're walking down now what's
that street in the center or Billy, what's the name
of that street?

Speaker 3 (09:01):
Commercial street?

Speaker 5 (09:04):
Yeah, and they have all these sex shops or kind
of drags costumes, and we walked by and they said,
you know, look at those gold shorts, Justin. You won't
put those on?

Speaker 10 (09:14):
Ye?

Speaker 5 (09:14):
And you know I always like to win the U
won't game. Yeah, so I put them on, sure, and
I was loving life. I didn't walk around in them,
just took some pictures. There were people men looking at Okay.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
But your outfit for the night that night included hot pink.

Speaker 5 (09:30):
T bike shorts. I did put on the pink shorts. Yeah,
Like I said, I was gonna an weren't you wearing.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
A gold boy toy hat at one point?

Speaker 5 (09:39):
That was in the sex shop.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (09:40):
We were doing a little photo out my wife and
I the gold trophy. It was a trophy boy.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Yeah, the trophy.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
And I took them right off and then you know,
we got back to the hotel, I put them back on.
But yeah, that's another story for wow.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
Yeah, so Justin and Jen and Mike and Trish were
staying in a boutique hotel about a mile up the road.
So they had to take a petticab. You know they
have guys like shirtless guys and tiny shorts.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
It's called boy toy petticabs.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
Yes, and so they had this one guy that was
regular for them. You would pick them up at the
boutiqu hotel and bring them into town. And Mike, we
all know Mike Rockett. I guess Mike at one point
gave this guy an enormous tip.

Speaker 5 (10:23):
Well, his wife Trisha explained to us that he's vacation dad.
The kids call him on vacation. He says yes to everything.
You're very generous.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Yeah, yeah, So he gave the what was the petticab
driver's name, It was Martin Martin, So he gave them
very huge tip for this. This is amazing Tim. The
next morning, Justin and Mike ran into Martin because they
needed the petticab and Martin's standing there with his other
petticab friend, and they both were wearing those meta glasses

(10:58):
that do everything. They take pictures, videos, you can talk
on the phone through the glasses. They took the tip
and they bought meda glass.

Speaker 5 (11:06):
They were so proud of it. They I didn't notice them.
They pointed them out to us.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
You like my glasses, ye.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Be great for their work environment.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
Yeah, they were like, we got a picture. Just touched
the glasses and it takes a picture.

Speaker 8 (11:21):
And get content if they want to make content out
of the cab stuff.

Speaker 5 (11:24):
It's amazing. It's been really amazing.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
And Martin and his buddy are talking to each other
while they're driving the Petticats investment. I want a pair
like it's it's they seem so cool.

Speaker 5 (11:35):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think we have some pairs on
the way maybe.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
But there's some question. Can I use them if I
don't have a you can?

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Yeah, it's meta. It's not like iPhone art.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Is this an Elon Musk products or Mark zucker Mark Soccer?

Speaker 5 (11:53):
Yeah, but all in all, listen, all in all, p town,
fantastic god, and thank you for the trip. Thank you
for your Billy's boat. Beautif. We always give him crap
about not taking it out. We took it out.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
Hard to experience.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
He's he's the captain.

Speaker 5 (12:07):
He is, he was the captain captain on Boy. Yeah,
a little, a little slow on the trip, but you
know you like to be careful.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
Okay, what do you mean a little slow?

Speaker 5 (12:15):
A little slow?

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Are you going to open it up?

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Okay? Trying to be politically correct to some degree. I
don't want to be a guzzler, so why go twenty
four knots when it's just as nice going fifteen you
use less fuel. Trying to say we were going to
whale country. We were going on. I took you out
to stow wagon.

Speaker 5 (12:33):
See the way, I'm not complaining.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
We did see it way that sounds like a complaint.
It was, yeah, I'm not complaining. Thank you for taking
me on.

Speaker 5 (12:41):
When the whale watch boats and every other boat is
flying past you, I'm like, but we were cit.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Oh my god, are you make your lemma shorts are
too tight? Right now?

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Never invite him out again?

Speaker 3 (12:51):
Oh my god, is that your way of saying, invite me?

Speaker 1 (12:55):
No, I don't need to go. I just don't think
I don't think he's rateful.

Speaker 8 (12:57):
And Winnie was that Jonas Khan break that down, Durney.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
It looked amazing, and the live broadcast.

Speaker 8 (13:06):
It was amazing. We I mean we we did such
a great job. Mikey had the tunes, Gian and I hosted.
It was there's so much I will break down during entertainment, Okay,
but for my vacation, I actually wanted to tell you guys.
I Binge watched the show on Netflix that I think
Billy would love, called Sullivan's Crossing it's so bad.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
It's good.

Speaker 8 (13:25):
Oh, I keep seeing them when I tell you it's
it's horrible. But I watched twenty five episodes in two
days and I have like four left. Like it's one
of those it's like a mindless show. It's from Canada,
so and chat. Mchalamurray stars in it. So it's beautiful.

(13:48):
They're in Nova Scotia, so yeah, it's beautiful.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
It's so, it's so seeing the promo and I'm always tempted.
I did start a new show called Hostage that everybody's
raving about it. I think it's been coming to the
number one show on Netflix. Anyway, we may do what
are you watching on the show, We're back from vacation.
But yeah, we're gonna take you to the Jonas Brothers
by way of winning, and we'll also talk about the
Morgan Wallan show and who he brought out on stage

(14:12):
with him. A lot going on this past weekend and
this past weekend. We'll take you there next.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
Oh, look who it is.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
Hey, what's up?

Speaker 5 (14:18):
It's Max Donovan.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
You're listening to Billy and Lisa in the morning on
Kiss onea wait my mom.

Speaker 7 (14:23):
From the Planet Fitness Kiss one Away Studios. But we're
back with A Villy and Lisa in the morning on
Kiss Now.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
The Entertainment Updates with A Billy Consta.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
Oh, we've talked about it since we got in there
this morning. We're all back from vacation, but so much
going on with music and with concerts. I mean, Morgan
wallin two sold out shows out at Gillette Stadium. I
guess the first show he walked out with Mike Rabel,
the Patach coach, and then Gronk the second show walked
out with him, and I guess Gronk did that spike

(14:55):
thing where somebody handed him a Patriots to get to
and he spiked the guitar on stage.

Speaker 5 (15:02):
Well, he came out playing kind of playing air guitaring,
and then he threw it to Morgan Walling, and Morgan
threw it back and then he spiked it.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
Of course, I think it's kind of time to walk
away from you know what I mean, It's.

Speaker 5 (15:13):
Time, But you know what happened when we're on vacation,
Gronk's playground open.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Yeah, Yeah, that's exciting.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Anyway, that was big. The Morgan wall And shows sold
out in massive, massive, and then the Jonas Brothers sold
out out of Chillette Stadium and the actor Glenn Powell, Oh,
the ladies are just raven about actually narrated the opening
look around. We come from different places, different streets, different stories,

(15:42):
different sides of the map, but a family always.

Speaker 7 (15:48):
Find his way back.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (15:51):
I'm just blown over that they got him to introduce them.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Now, what has he been in that I was?

Speaker 6 (15:56):
He was in Maverick, he was in the Okay Talking
that he was.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
He was in Twister.

Speaker 6 (16:02):
He was in the movie with Sydney Sweeney that you saw.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
Oh oh yeah, that was Thebody Wants to.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
He's in town.

Speaker 6 (16:10):
The reason why he's here is because he's shooting at
JJ abrams movie in Providence wraps up today.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
They were here for a week.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
Now, call me crazy, but JJ Abrams is Gracie abrams.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Father exactly, yes.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
And so he's shooting a movie with JJ Abrams.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Right.

Speaker 6 (16:28):
They're wrapping up supposedly today because I was bump because
I'm going to be in Providence on Wednesday dropping Max
off at Brown Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Oh but no, and Whinny, you muscled your way into
a picture. Why I want to.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
Picture a Gwen Powell. He is very cute.

Speaker 8 (16:42):
I remember been like a Glenn Powell girl, but like
in person, he is very, very handsome. So what happened
was he came down after he narrated, but he didn't
come down till maybe like with six or seven songs left,
and there was four seats in front of me that
there was a Fenway like security person that was arding
it with her life because fun in fact, Ashley and

(17:03):
not and Gattie and naughty, I'm saying it wrong. She's
in the Bachelor. She married Jared from Providence. They were
both in the Bachelor Bachelor in Paradise. She tried to
take those seats and they were like, get out, And
then within a minute Glenn comes down with I think
his mom and dad and his manager.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
He was really nice.

Speaker 8 (17:20):
He stayed for about three or four songs, and I
noticed the manager say to the security, we're going to
leave after burning up.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
So I had my.

Speaker 8 (17:26):
Phone ready because he was directly in front of me.
When he walked past me, I said, hey, can I
grab a picture? And he was like yeah, sure of course.
Love that grabbed the picture and that was it.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
Now what's his connection to the Jonas brothers?

Speaker 1 (17:36):
They're friendly?

Speaker 5 (17:37):
You know, it's probably because he was in town filming.
It made sense. But when he did, did he look
better or worse than me? And the gold shorts and better?

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Very stunning man in person.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
And the Jonas brothers during their shows brought out a
lot of people. They brought Jesse McCartney out Dashboard Confessional,
yet where did they find them? And they brought out
our pal Jojo who's from Foxborough and they did her
song get Out say.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
She sounded great and she looks great.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Yeah, and what is she doing now?

Speaker 1 (18:10):
She's doings.

Speaker 6 (18:12):
She wrote a book about a year or we were
trying to get her for the book.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Yeah, yeah, but she just said roadrunner in March.

Speaker 8 (18:20):
Yea.

Speaker 5 (18:21):
We reached out to her to come on and yeah,
I haven't been able to busy get her.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
Yeah, I swear and I love this part of the
whole thing. Kevin Jonas must be a regular listener to
the Billy and Lisa Morning Show because he not only
had his guitar plugged in the other night, he did
a solo song.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
It's called changing, so he's changing into an actual guitar player.
It's such a fitting song.

Speaker 5 (18:51):
That you know people are always listening to our show.
He must have been why did they choose Boston right
or to.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Launch his solo project guitar.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
And all he was listening.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
Yeah, he sounded very good. He really did.

Speaker 8 (19:04):
I mean when he came out, like they announced that
he was singing his own song. He came up, he goes, guys,
I'm so nervous, so please bear with me. It was
the sweet, sweetest thing, and he sounded really good. He
was playing the guitar. And it was such a moment
because if you've followed in the last twenty years, like
he's always been just the big brother in the background,
and now he had like his moment and he met

(19:24):
the moment like he was really really good. I'm not
just saying that because I'm a big fan, Like he
sounded great.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
I got a lot of dms from people that say,
Billy Kevin's playing the guitar.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
FA.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Yeah, I'm the first person I thought of.

Speaker 5 (19:37):
Fly Jonas brother show is Jim.

Speaker 4 (19:39):
Pack morning, I am.

Speaker 10 (19:41):
I'm my way to work post Jonas concert.

Speaker 6 (19:45):
Obviously, that was Saturday, and I still can't believe everything happened.

Speaker 10 (19:50):
I barely have a voice still.

Speaker 11 (19:53):
It was so good.

Speaker 6 (19:54):
Winny, mikey Bee and Gianna jesseear Artney and Jojo.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
It was just oh and Glenn Powell, which was Rydom.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
Okay, yeah, we had a live broadcast set up and
when you were down there, Mikey and and Gianna and
it was Jonas Cohn. What is that?

Speaker 8 (20:12):
Jonah so Jones can remember we talked about in March
they did a big one at the Mall of America,
so this is a smaller version of it. They're only
doing it at ten stops during this concert. So so
what happens is you come in before the show. It's
inside the venue that you're at, And where we and
Gianna and Mikey were set up was on Jersey Street,
so we had their old tour van that they drove

(20:32):
around and you could sign that. They also had a
meet and greet tent. So they had their little brother, Frankie,
who opened for them. He was there, big rob if
you're a big fan of the Jonah's brothers, he was
their bodyguard.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
How is Frankie?

Speaker 1 (20:44):
He's good. He's like a folky singer. He has like
a he has like a he had a cover of
yellow like Cold Play, Like that's more of his vibe.

Speaker 8 (20:51):
He's not like really poppy, so he came out and
he came on stage with Gianna and I surprised us
and saying for the crowd.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
And now the bodyguard is a celebrity at Jonas if.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
You are a Jonas Brothers og fan.

Speaker 8 (21:03):
When they were at the hired their career at Disney Channel,
they had Big Rob who was their security guard.

Speaker 5 (21:08):
So you know it's like, you know, Kevin and Nick
and Joe, They're like, send Frankie out there. Yeah, I
don't want to rob out that. We're not going frank.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Go on if you're a big these were big moments.

Speaker 6 (21:21):
You guys.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
Are you guys?

Speaker 5 (21:23):
It looked it looked like fun though.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
I really looked awesome on social media. I gotta tell you,
guys did a great job.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
It was amazing.

Speaker 8 (21:30):
And when you went inside, they had a memorabilia tent
of like all their stuff from like Teen Choice Awards
to like outfits. It was literally the coolest thing unreleased demos.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
Yeah, by the.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
Way, Joe Jonas looked really good.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
They're really cool dressers, great on stage. I got to
mention Chris Brown is out at Fenway tonight, Tate McCrae
tomorrow and Wednesday night, the TD Garden Tate Tuesday tomorrow.
Last minute tickets for Tate sold out show starting at
eight ten tomorrow morning on The Billy and Lisa Show.
And by the way, Tate don't forget covered a Drakes
during her sound check the last week.

Speaker 5 (22:02):
Yeah, she does the sound check. It's kind of an
extra thing that you pay for it shows. The Boston
one is sold out unfortunately, but yeah, you never know,
she's always surprising people. Maybe maybe Kevin Jonas. She might
do a Kevin Jonas car. Oh never know, that would
be cool.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
Little nas X is waking up in jail in Los
Angeles again this morning. He's been in jail since last
Thursday for roaming the streets of Los Angeles naked, wearing
cowboy boots, and assaulting police.

Speaker 6 (22:29):
He also picked up one of those orange traffic cones
and was wearing it on his head.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
Here he was, Hey, what'll be.

Speaker 5 (22:36):
Late to the party tonight?

Speaker 3 (22:37):
We're at you know where it's at.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
Go ahead, babe, No no, no, no, no no, no,
go ahead, babe, no no, no, no no.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
And it took a bad turn, so he took Old
Town Road to prison.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
Can I just say I know he's looking for Old
Town Road.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
The old Town Road, will take it right to jail.

Speaker 6 (23:02):
Do he have facial paralysis in April Membory, yes, something, Yes,
there's something going.

Speaker 5 (23:08):
On with him.

Speaker 8 (23:08):
I know it's not funny, but he looked really good
in his speedo, like.

Speaker 5 (23:15):
Nighttown, you know what, send him to Pete Town.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
They would celebrate him walking like that.

Speaker 5 (23:20):
And yeah, no, I watched the video and I'm like,
that's how everyone looks in Pee Town around.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
Naked guys and string mkinis walk in the street. Yeah, okay, hey.
Reports over the weekend were suggesting that only one current
cast member of Saturday Night Live is going to be
back for season fifty one. I was shocked by that.
And by the way, it gets better. The one cast
member that's already locked in is James Austin Johnson, who

(23:49):
plays Trump on Saturday Night Live. Yep, that's right, it's
me hot Jack Trump. They finally got the body right.
He rose from the dead on the third day. I
would have done it faster. I don't elect anyone. I
started that. Oh thank you, it's me, Hi, I'm the problem.
And by the way, that guy, the only cast member confirmed,

(24:12):
is coming on this show next Friday.

Speaker 5 (24:15):
Great fun in studio doing Live Trump.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
Patriots had their last preseason game last Thursday, and I
could be a tense practice session today. They've got the
roster cut by tomorrow. Has to happen by tomorrow, so
some people could be leaving meantime. Coach Mike Rabel says
he suspects a leaker. He smells a rat. He says,
there's been leaking stories about Jalen Polk having season ending

(24:41):
shoulder injury.

Speaker 5 (24:43):
Other than I'd like to find out where some of
these come from. You know, some of these rats around
the show.

Speaker 12 (24:47):
We'll figure out out.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
God, that's the only reason I did the story. He's
talking about rats justin.

Speaker 5 (24:54):
Yeah, what's that remind you of?

Speaker 3 (24:56):
You smell a rat?

Speaker 5 (24:57):
My outfit?

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Fast day situation like this kill everybody. Yeah, it turns out, gentlemen,
Polk does have He's out for the season. Yeah, so
the rat was right.

Speaker 5 (25:10):
You know what they say, rats get bats.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
We're brought to you by the ninety nine Restaurants. Listen
visit the ninety nine restaurant Monday through Wednesday for their
newest big deal meal, the Krispy Fried Twin Catch with
the North Atlantic Cod Krispy Shrimp just fourteen ninety nine,
every Monday through Wednesday. You gotta love the nines. And
there you go. You know, somebody's rats around here.

Speaker 7 (25:31):
It's topic time with Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
Hello, Okay, so what what what are you doing?

Speaker 5 (25:42):
Bill?

Speaker 3 (25:43):
I don't know you were pointing, but I didn't have
a microphone on.

Speaker 5 (25:45):
Oh Winnie, you said you were playing he welcome back
a little Rusty from vacation. Well, yeah, we're happened.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
Hello is this on? So kids are back to school
this week, teachers are back to school this week, and Lisa,
you're looking at a list of things teachers would like
to be thinking about our family should be doing before
the kids go back to school.

Speaker 6 (26:08):
Yeah. And I actually like all of these little hot
tips because it's been a long summer and I think
it's like you're throwing the kids right back in and
they're saying, number one, make rest an emotional regulation a priority.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
Can you describe emotional regulation for me?

Speaker 6 (26:23):
Yeah, it's basically just knowing how to manage your emotions.
That's pretty much what it is.

Speaker 5 (26:29):
And also the rest part. You're coming off the summer,
kids are up late, they're sleeping in late, and now
you're telling them to go to bed early and get
up early. You know, it's a hard transition.

Speaker 6 (26:38):
Right, So they're saying start now because a lot of
kids maybe go back to school this Wednesday, So start
it today.

Speaker 5 (26:44):
Good luck.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (26:46):
They also said, let your kids do their own homework,
at least let them take a shot at it first,
before you know, asking for help.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
My kids had no choice. I didn't know how to
do with the homework.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
Well at a certain point you really don't know.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
That's a big issue. But the math is done completely
different now. It is I don't know when if you've
seen the new math, it's I don't even like I'm trying.
And I only want to do is say to them, no,
you do it like this, you know, you add and
subtract this way the way I was taught, And no,
you can't do it.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
No, it's totally different.

Speaker 6 (27:16):
And I'm going to miss my son Max going off
to college because he would always help Riley.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
That's not going to be happy.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
You're going to FaceTime Max, I know we are.

Speaker 6 (27:26):
The next one is established communication with your kids teachers early.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
I like that one.

Speaker 5 (27:31):
Yeah, we have a walk through tonight at my son's
school to meet the teacher, you know, make a good
first impression. Maybe warn her of what's to come.

Speaker 4 (27:39):
You know.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
Now you've got abel Justin. Can I ask you something
now that he's going back to school? Do you allow
him to bring his cell phone to bed?

Speaker 5 (27:48):
Cell phone?

Speaker 3 (27:49):
A cell phone?

Speaker 5 (27:49):
He's too young for the cell phone?

Speaker 3 (27:52):
No?

Speaker 5 (27:52):
No, no, no, yeah, well aiming well, kids in the
neighborhood that are only a year or two older they
have cell phones. We're holding off until I think, what
do you think thirteen?

Speaker 6 (28:02):
Yeh, yeah, we did middle school school? Yeah, okay, all right.
So I like this one because I have a book
club read every night. Make sure they read fifteen minutes
a night. Makes a big difference in improving kids' vocabulary, comprehension,
and focus.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
It settles them down.

Speaker 5 (28:17):
Yep. That's part of his homework actually for the past
year or two, which I do like to sometimes I
struggle to get him to do it.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
Yeah. I like the next one. You've got at least
label everything else.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Yeah, that's label makers.

Speaker 6 (28:31):
Get them out backpacks, water bottles, lunch boxes, everything, coats because.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
Things just go missing.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
They do.

Speaker 3 (28:40):
Oh of course they do, they.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
Do it, They really do. That's a huge one.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
So a lot of kids, a lot of kids. Yeah,
all right, and then the younger kids, you know, let
them do a lot of the things on their own.
See how they make out, right.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
That's exactly what the last one is.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
Yeah, well, let.

Speaker 5 (28:56):
Them make mistakes.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (28:58):
We've talked a lot on this show about helicopter parents
and this new age parenting, which you know, we don't
want to criticize anybody, but the kids need to sometimes
fall in their face, you know, to learn the lessons.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
Not physically, but yeah, just yeah, sometimes they fall, they fall, failure,
they do a lot about But here's the deal. We
have a lot of teachers that listen to this show.
We want to hear from the teachers because we want
to welcome them back officially. And same goes for parents.
A lot of parents are stressing out right now. This
could be their first time, you know, getting the kids

(29:29):
off to school or something. So yeah, let's open it up.

Speaker 5 (29:31):
To because it's not just a transition for the kids,
it's a transition for the parents. Yes, and I say parents,
I mean like my wife, I'm not home, I work
in the morning. Oh, she's got to get the kids ready,
get them to school. It's a whole scene man, you know.
But anyway, welcome back, Lia kiss One.

Speaker 10 (29:48):
A teacher here back with my best season in the morning.
It's actually kind of weird how much I missed listening
to you guys. I did when I could.

Speaker 9 (29:56):
I didn't completely abandon you.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
But happy to be back. Oh thanks.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
Yeah. Back to school week. Yes, cities and towns all
across the Commonwealth, so teachers or back kids are heading
back as stressful time for parents and for teachers.

Speaker 5 (30:11):
Yeah, we get a lot of that every year around
this time, because you know, school's out for the summer,
and teachers listen to us. Thank you for that every
day on the way to school, and then they don't
listen over the summer. But you can listen, I know,
maybe you sleep in. We have a podcast you can
get every day. So if you miss us, if you
really miss us, listen to the podcast on the iHeartRadio
app search BILLI and Lisa in the Morning.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
You know what, Jackie's listening right now. We've got her
on the phone. Jackie, what do you want to say
this morning?

Speaker 12 (30:39):
Well, good morning to all of you. This is an
honor to be on your show.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
It's an honor to have you thank you.

Speaker 12 (30:46):
So I have to say I'm going to rebottle a
comment that was made. I listen to you every time
I'm a teacher. I teach in Norton, ask. This is
my twenty eighth year doing this with only fifth graders,
and I listen to you you every day when I
go on my hour and a half walk and I
literally go through your podcast and you keep me going.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
I love it. Thank you, Jackie. Welcome, thank you. Enjoy
the walker this morning. And I was going to say
hello to Norton. Yeah, Hello, Norton doesn't get much attention.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
Do you know where Norton is?

Speaker 5 (31:19):
Bill no idea, Well in Canton.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
No, it's here.

Speaker 6 (31:24):
Yeah, it's a south shore, right, it's Mansfield.

Speaker 5 (31:30):
Yeah yeah, yeah, okay, yeah that's what that's where I know.

Speaker 3 (31:33):
Well, thank you Jackie, and hello Norton.

Speaker 4 (31:35):
Yeah, good morning, kiss kids, Happy Monday. Welcome back from vacation.
I have to admit I haven't listened live this time
since June, because, you know, teacher vacation a little bit
longer than yours. But I was a little choked up
this morning to hear all your voices. It's nice to
be back for now.

Speaker 8 (31:56):
Oh that's so sweet, they got choked up. He Hello,
if we evoke emotion?

Speaker 5 (32:03):
Yeah, yeah, good Winnie, thank you, you're very good. Yeah, well,
welcome back.

Speaker 10 (32:08):
I am a teacher that is heading back to work
today and I did not listen to Kiss Went Await
all summer.

Speaker 5 (32:15):
See what I mean?

Speaker 10 (32:17):
But I typically listen in my car period. I also
am recovering from a condition called hyperacusis, which is super
sound sensitivity, and it's very difficult to listen to music.
It was very sad. I'm slowly recovering and I'm hoping
for a good school year.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
Oh wow, I've never heard of that before me either.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
I wonder what the cure is.

Speaker 8 (32:40):
I don't know, but that's so sad to not be
able to listen to music and like audio and feel.

Speaker 5 (32:44):
We Yeah, so do our voices bother her? You think
some of our I hope not.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
Well speak for yourself. I'm guessing if any one of
our voices is annoying to someone, probably.

Speaker 5 (32:59):
She feels.

Speaker 12 (33:00):
Hey.

Speaker 10 (33:01):
This is Amy.

Speaker 6 (33:02):
I am a kindergarten teacher heading in from my first
day back with the kids.

Speaker 10 (33:06):
And we had a great summer and had.

Speaker 4 (33:09):
A lot of fun.

Speaker 7 (33:09):
I have two young children myself, so we had a
blast and we're ready for the school year ahead.

Speaker 9 (33:15):
Hope everybody has a great day and a great year.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
Yep, we're ready.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
Yeah, but what do you do if you're a teacher
of young kids and you also have young kids. That's
got to be a handful.

Speaker 5 (33:27):
Yeah. My son's teacher last year second grade and her
kids went to the same school.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (33:32):
I can't imagine don with like a bunch of seven
year olds all day and then going home here on
like eight year old. Oh, that's like NonStop children from
seven to seven.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (33:42):
I always say I have a newfound respective teachers after
you know, having kids and them dealing with not just
your own your kids, but everyone's kids. Yeah, every day.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
That's why a lot of the things on the list
that Lisa had earlier this morning, I think really hold true.

Speaker 5 (33:57):
Oh yeah, absolutely, Hey.

Speaker 11 (33:58):
Teacher here, that high listened all summer. But I am
heading in today and tomorrow to set up my classroom
and officially back on Wednesday. And I just wanted to
say about that last tip, letting your kids fail. Yes, yes, yes,
so many kids do not know what to do when

(34:19):
something doesn't go right or doesn't.

Speaker 3 (34:23):
Go their way.

Speaker 9 (34:24):
They have no grit or perseverance.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
M Wow, well said, well, it's that emotional regulation.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
Yeah, it's all connected.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
Yeah, I learned something this morning, emotional regulation that was
really I should employ that once in a while.

Speaker 5 (34:38):
Yeah it's too late for you, but you know that
was actually a really good list. Yeah, yeah, it was
really good. And also, you know, transitioning is not easy
for kids as well, Matt. You know, transitioning into summer
and then out of summer back into school routines. You know,
the transition can be tough.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
I'm telling you.

Speaker 6 (34:57):
Get your kids to read fifteen minutes a night, read
with them, get them to do it on their own.
It will help with emotional regulation. It calms them down.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
Yes, what you're reading I guess, well, the kid's books
are normally.

Speaker 6 (35:12):
Light.

Speaker 9 (35:12):
Yeah, you know, coming from another teacher here, when you
do not discipline your children at home, they come.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
To school not disciplined.

Speaker 9 (35:25):
So when they do something not right and bad behavior
that they choose when I email home, please don't disagree
with me. You can check in with your child, but
do not disagree with me. That's the thing that makes
teachers go over the edge.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
Yeah, it's great here in the teacher's side.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
It gets confusing, right, yes.

Speaker 5 (35:50):
Yeah, And you know one thing I about my own
son is, you know, he's well behaved outside, so I
don't really have to worry about him when he's not
like outside, you know, the home. It's when he's at
home he's a pain in the ass. Well that's good though, Yeah,
I would rather that way than the other way.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
Street Angels is what you want.

Speaker 8 (36:08):
You want a kid that's going to be like the
nicest kid in town.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
The best thing you could hear as a parent is
one of your children's friends parents saying, oh my god,
your son and your daughter is so polite. When that
happens all the time, you know, and you're like, really,
are we talking about the same kid?

Speaker 5 (36:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (36:25):
I have two wonderful boys, one who's seventeen and one
who's eighteen. And my seventeen year old is starting his
senior year of high school tomorrow, and my eighteen year
old moved.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
Into college for the first time.

Speaker 9 (36:35):
On Friday, and I am an emotional wreck over here.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
Last night I.

Speaker 13 (36:39):
Saw them sitting in one of their rooms.

Speaker 9 (36:41):
Talking about how today is the last day they have
together for a while.

Speaker 8 (36:45):
So check on your senior parents and your freshman parents because.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
We're not doing well right now.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Wow, I have precisely what you're going through.

Speaker 6 (36:54):
Yeah, my son, we're dropping off at college and Riley
starts freshman.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
Year of high school. Yeah, it's a lot.

Speaker 5 (37:01):
So when's the drop off day?

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Wednesday? One o'clock time.

Speaker 13 (37:06):
Then I just wanted to say you got this, Lisa.
I dropped my son off this past weekend also to
Saint Anselm's College in Manchester, New Hampshire for his freshman orientation.
Definitely a tough time for everyone, but just be reassured.
If he's going off to college, you've done something right.
So good luck to all the students who start school today,

(37:29):
especially the freshman in college.

Speaker 6 (37:32):
That's true. It's a it's a growth point, and it's
like it's all good. It's just kind of it's just
a this is a new chapter.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
Had drop off to is hard. You know. I dropped
Chris off to college that I wept openly.

Speaker 1 (37:48):
That's so nice.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
I was in the car though, I waited till.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
I was oh yeah, yeah, me too.

Speaker 8 (37:52):
My parents couldn't wait to drop me off like I
was the third, Like I'm the third of.

Speaker 1 (37:59):
The are like all right, well you know you.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
All see it. Yeah, I see it.

Speaker 13 (38:03):
You know.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
Thanksgiving, Yeah, a framing.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
You don't feel the need to come home for the holidays,
you know, hang with your friends. A lot of poor
kids at the campus they you know, but from Europe,
they can't go home. Just stay there, you know what.

Speaker 5 (38:17):
Thanksgiving, just let it go by to see that.

Speaker 3 (38:19):
Christmas, we're not going to be home anyway.

Speaker 5 (38:23):
We're taking a family vacation. But you're not invited. I'm
just kidding.
