Speaker 10 (05:39):
Some great, great movies under his belt, great speeches in Serendipity.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Maybe not the best movie out there, but man, he.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
Delivered some really wonderful speeches, lectures even maybe. And then
of course say anything, where are his firebug keys?
Speaker 4 (05:57):
Where are his firebird keys?
Speaker 11 (05:58):
Key master?
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Yeah, it sounds like she's following you around.
Speaker 8 (06:03):
Where did that come from?
Speaker 1 (06:04):
By the way, we have a thing we called the
talk back MIC. People have an opportunity to send in
audio messages that we can play on.
Speaker 8 (06:13):
She was yelping my old movies I love that serendipitity
Jonathan Trager Television. Oh no, so we stopped that.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
We stopped that.
Speaker 8 (06:22):
Let me tell you why. Let me tell you why,
because first of all, no one, no one wants to
hear their own voice. But you know, I'm very hard
on myself as a performer. I remember that movie and
we were in the middle of shooting and they said
disc over here, and uh and just record this, you know,
really quickly, and I and I had one take, and
(06:42):
I'm very hard on myself, and I anyone that's worked
with me, I'm a real pain in the ass because
I always want another take because I want to try
a different way to do it. So that one I
had one take and I don't like the way it sounds,
and it started playing it. Yeah, I'm weird. I'm a weirdo.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
We're sorry we pulled that.
Speaker 8 (06:57):
Oh no, it's all good, it's all good. I just therapy.
It's okay, it's it's not a big deal about this.
One day you must Yeah, I love that. That was now,
that's that's definitely in the moment. That's in the moment. Yeah,
that was great. But no, to your point earlier, you
got to go where you're loved in this life. And
(07:18):
I have to say and I'm not I'm not just
saying it that that walking on the streets of Boston,
there's a lot of love here and and people are
very honest. They're very much like New York and where
I'm from Chicago, and they'll give it to you straight
and if they don't like you, they're gonna let you know.
And there's love here. And I can't wait to get
to the to the wilbur And a lot of people
(07:39):
don't know I do stand.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
Up, and I was gonna say, what's the show, like.
Speaker 8 (07:42):
Well, I've been on SAT since I was a kid,
and so the stage is my home. And you know,
whether people know me from whatever, any of those eighty
movies or or Ari Golden Entourage, they have a reference
for me, and they're gonna show up not knowing what
they're gonna see. But I've been on the road doing
stand up for a for a decade and I'm a
stage performer, so I tell stories, I do observational stuff
(08:05):
like you've seen a million times before with stand ups. Impressions.
I'm all over the map, but it's me, it's who
I am, and people come up to me afterwards and
they go, we didn't know you were this funny. So
it's a real shot in the arm for me. It's
a backhanded compliment because I'm two hundred years old, I've
done a thousand movies and so but it's just what
(08:25):
I think is funny in this life. And we need
to laugh right now because it's very confusing times for
all of us.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
Well, it's funny. So you will interact with the people
in the crowd when you're at the Wilberfrauden.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
No, I just.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
But that's okay. We have a button for that.
Speaker 8 (08:45):
I love that. I love that. Yay. No, of course,
I'm a stand up comic. And when you come and
you want to, you know, yell something out, then then
we engage and the show takes a different turn, and
I love it. Every every show is completely different. You know,
(09:06):
we're dealing with stuff right now. You can, you know,
pull something that that happened that day. You know, we're
all you know, there was a guy that was assassinated,
you know, and you know people are celebrating his death
and it's it's very strange. We should never celebrate murder ever,
no matter what point of view someone has, whether you
(09:29):
agree with it or not, and we're all dealing with
our anger. And anger is a punishment you give yourself
for something someone else did, kind of like burning your tesla.
Good Night, everyone, thank you for coming. That was a
Jewish goodbye, and Irish goodbye is when you leave without
saying goodbye. And Jewish goodbye is when you say goodbye
and you never leave.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Yeah, and you just keep saying good but you stay
where you are. You solicited restaurant ideas from people here
in Boston. Do you get any good ones?
Speaker 8 (09:59):
I got? I got some good ones. I got some
really good ones. And then I went to let me
tell you, it's on my Instagram page, just just Jeremy
Piven with a little blue check. I went to Aben
Lewis and I'm not just saying I went to Aben
Lewis and uh yesterday and it was one of the
best steaks I've ever had. I have no skin in
(10:19):
the game. I'm not an investor in the place, but uh,
you know, I'm I don't do the seed oil, so
I just said, no, no oil, just a little butter,
and my god, it was incredible. I think I might
just go back today I was streaming about it. So
that's that's my one recommendation. Maybe you guys have others.
Maybe they are people that can call in.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
Oh, we have a lot of restaurant recommendations. You know.
I happen to do food television here on the bus.
Speaker 8 (10:46):
Oh okay, so you know, yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
Just want to make a big deal.
Speaker 8 (10:51):
Yeah, so you know what you're talking about.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
Well, not really, he's the food guy. The food guy, yeah, Jey.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
Sure. I haven't had the opportunity to go there yet
because reservations are quite difficult. But I've heard really, really
great things about Contessa in Boston.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
Oh yes, now Kntessa is on the rooftop of the
Newburray Hotel, which used to be the original Rich Carlton
in Boston.
Speaker 8 (11:17):
Okay, it's that's it's hard to get Okay, it's hard
to get in there.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Well again, I could make a little call for it.
Speaker 8 (11:24):
There you go. That's what I'm talking about.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
The food food. Yeah, Jerry, we did. We did a
whole segment before you came in, and people calling in
giving recommendations for you.
Speaker 8 (11:32):
Oh that's amazing.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
Yeah, a lot of people excited you were coming in.
I think that's so exciting that you're having Scottie Pippin
on today, scott all this time with.
Speaker 8 (11:41):
Balls, no pipping Scotty, no tipping Scottie Pippen.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Hey, can I go back to your movies?
Speaker 8 (11:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (11:50):
Did you mention a number? Earlieres? How many movies have you?
Speaker 8 (11:53):
I've done over eighty movies, and you know it's it's
at this point to be honest with you. I was
in Italy and i've been I've been working on this
movie for about fifteen years. It'll be out this year.
That's the best work of my life, called The Performance,
and we were premiering it in Rome and this guy goes,
Jeremy Bevin, Jemy Bevn. I was like, yeah, he goes
and he's pointing there's a picture of me there because
(12:14):
I was doing a Q and A and he goes,
I don't know you.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
And that was great. You don't know me.
Speaker 8 (12:18):
That's amazing. I love when people tell me they don't
know me.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
You know, that's a really good accent life. Thank you.
Speaker 8 (12:25):
And then I said, can I get a machiato? And
I was a Chicago accent, so it came out wrong
and he goes, gay, thank ya.
Speaker 7 (12:32):
I go.
Speaker 8 (12:34):
He goes, Yaga, and I was like, are you roasting me?
And then I realized you have to do it in
their accent? Ya don't but no, he said. He started
scrolling me on IMDb and I watched him and he
kept looking and then looking up at me and looking down.
And then he goes to Jeremy Beven. He goes, he goes,
where's your wife? I go, I don't have a wife.
(12:55):
Where's your family. I was like, I don't have a family.
I just have that. I just pointed that that's all
I got wrong. And I just had this like you know,
crisis where I was just sitting there going, yeah, what happened? Yeah?
People are like, why you're still single? You know you're
two hundred years old. And I tell him, you know,
I've been busy. I've been married to my work, and
(13:16):
then my work decided to see other people.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
See what I'm doing, sampling I'm doing, You'll get you.
Speaker 8 (13:23):
Yes, No, I have to let me tell you why
I have to do this, because people don't know that
they know me as an actor, and what happens is
and I get it. People have a reference for you
and they go, oh, that's what he does he can
only do that, you know there, and I understand that.
But I'm a performer and I've been a performer my
whole life. I came up at Second City in the
(13:43):
nineties with Chris Farley sketch comedy, you know. So I've
been writing on my feet my whole life. I've been
touring for ten years, you know, about five to eight
shows a week, so about two hundred fifty shows a year.
So I'm ready to go. So when you come to
the wilbur We're going to hit the ground running.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
Okay, I got a touch on one movie. I swear
I had to get therapy after this movie you did
years ago, Very bad Things Judgment Night, Yeah, I think
Milio Estevez, Cuba Gooding Junior, it was. It gave me
nightmares for two years. This is one of those things
where you take the wrong exit off the highway. It
(14:23):
didn't end well for you.
Speaker 8 (14:24):
It did not end well for me. In fact, you know,
spoiler alert, it was two hundred years ago, so it
doesn't matter. But they they Dennis Leary has up throwing
me off a roof and that was like one of
the first scenes up and you don't laugh, No, no,
it's funny.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
It's funny that Dennis Leary was the guy. Well he
was the leader of the gang and he tossed you
off high rise.
Speaker 8 (14:47):
Yeah, he and an Everlast, and you know they were strange.
It was those were those were interesting strange times, Like
it was my first big movie. I remember, you know,
I'm a stage actor from Chicago, and people don't really
know who I am. And after they see my stand
up they'll know who I am. But you know, I've
been on stage since I was eight years old and
(15:07):
I've been grinding my whole life. And I won the
fresh Face of the Year award at forty years old.
I swear to God and I've said, there's nothing fresh
about my face, but thank you. So I would love
to be the face of never give up, to be
honest with you, because that's what my life has been.
And you know, I came from like we lived in
an old folks home growing up to save money because
(15:27):
my parents are theater actors. So I'm not some spoon
fed you know, yeah kid. And I think it's very
easy to label someone, you know, oh, a little white
privilege over there and whatever, and he's already gold and
they don't really know me at all, and so that
was like my first one of my first big breaks,
you know, working with these movie stars like you know,
(15:47):
Emilio Stevez and all these guys in Cuba Gooding and
Classic Movie and you know, and Dennis Leary and everlast
were the villains, and like I just it was a
very interesting, challenging, uh fun, incredible time. And I you know,
you get paid as an actor, and that's the dream.
You know that, you know, the dream is to make
(16:09):
a living as an actor and not and then then
you know, you keep moving the goal posts and go, okay,
my next goal is to not have to audition. Wouldn't
that be great? They know my work, you know, and
here I am, you know, you know, three straight Emmys,
some some Golden Globes and whatnot. I'm still auditioning. It's surreal.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
And by the way, you have a movie coming out
in a couple of days, Primitive War. It's going to
be on Apple TV.
Speaker 8 (16:34):
Yes, it'll be on Apple. It's been in theaters for
about a month. Thanks for supporting me. I really agree, Okay, TV,
it'll be it'll be everyone can see on Apple. But
it's it's a you know, that's something I've filmed in
Australia and it's it's a Vietnam war movie that kind
of matches up the timeline and suddenly we're battling dinosaurs,
(16:55):
so it's like full metal Brontosaurus, kind of like also
My Stripper and the State full metal Brontosaurus. That's the
type of hilarity you can see. The wilbur Friday Night.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
And Jeremy Pi whatever whatever my last name is, that
was incredible restaurant did the night job.
Speaker 8 (17:21):
Sorry I thought it was Scottie Pippen.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
They could find you in a restaurant in and around
Boston at any moment this week, I hope.
Speaker 8 (17:29):
So you know, I'm I'll take all your suggestions because
you're a professional and I don't know what I'm doing,
but yeah, we're I'd love to get some suggestions, and
maybe we'll do like a pre game meal with all
the kids from Kiss and if they if they if
they buy a ticket when they show up at the
(17:49):
box office and they mention you guys, why don't we
give them a free meet and greet so they can
save some money Because the VIPs are all sold out
and I don't want people to be discouraged.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Justin how do they do that? If they want to
get the VP right, literally.
Speaker 8 (18:02):
If they if they just get a ticket and at
the box office, I'll let them know and say, you know,
kiss FM. Yeah, we'll give them some. We'll be able
to hug it out with you, you know.
Speaker 4 (18:13):
Jeremy, thank you.
Speaker 6 (18:14):
I just want to say thank you to Jeremy Piven.
Speaker 12 (18:16):
You are one of my favorite actors and just.
Speaker 8 (18:23):
Think Ari Gold was one of the best of all time.
Speaker 12 (18:29):
So thank you for.
Speaker 8 (18:30):
A woman of taste. Thank you. That's amazing. I love that.
I love that and okay, we got some exciting.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
I love it. Jeremy. I just want to say, huge,
huge fan of yours, thank.
Speaker 8 (18:46):
You, thank you for having me. Thank you. Guys.
Speaker 6 (18:51):
Now the entertainment updates with a Billy Godstep.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
And we have breaking news. Cardi b is ragnant. She
announced it a couple of minutes ago on a CBO lass.
Speaker 12 (19:04):
Rumor about you is that you are having a baby,
and I want to know what, if anything you want
to share about that with the class.
Speaker 6 (19:13):
Well, well, yes i am.
Speaker 13 (19:16):
I'm having a baby with my boyfriend Stefan Diggs. Congratulations,
thank you, congratulations. How are you feeling about that and
that this will be baby number four for you. Carti,
I'm actually very I'm excited, I'm happy. I feel like
I'm in a good space. I feel very strong. I
feel very powerful that I'm doing all this work. But
I'm doing all this work while I'm creating a baby.
(19:37):
Me and my man were very supportive of each other.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
Yeah, And on the Today Show yesterday she talked about
her boyfriend Stefan Diggs.
Speaker 13 (19:45):
You got a new man or right, Yeah, for the sparks, squirky, sparkling.
Speaker 6 (19:50):
Hoey.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
Are you a football fan now?
Speaker 6 (19:53):
Yeah, I'm a football fan, Hoey. I'll be in the
screen on Sunday every day.
Speaker 13 (19:56):
Christy people out.
Speaker 7 (20:01):
And so Stephan, he isn't playing yet because he's been
at Hurt, right.
Speaker 6 (20:05):
I know he's playing. He's playing. Yes, he's playing.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
So have you got in to go and watch him?
Speaker 13 (20:09):
Not yet because I've been preparing for my album. But
after this whole album thing, I'm going I'm going to
every single game.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
You're every single I've done. Now, if I remember correctly,
it was a couple of weeks ago when Carti b
was leaving the courthouse. Yeah, and when he turned to
me and said, I don't want to make a big deal.
I think Cardi B looks pregnant.
Speaker 7 (20:31):
Well, I didn't want to comment on a woman's body,
but she has a certain figure that she keeps very nice.
And she's been pregnant now four times, so we've seen
her pregnant enough to kind of get a sense for
how she shows. And I thought she looked like she
was pregnant.
Speaker 6 (20:44):
But you know what, you were right.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
And she had two announcements this week because she's also
announcing the new tour. She's got the album that comes
out Friday, and she's bringing her tour to the Garden
in Boston April. Second son happen, So.
Speaker 7 (21:05):
I think she probably do sooner rather than later than
right so that she can then journey.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
Yeah, what's the what date does the tour start?
Speaker 7 (21:14):
March something? I got to look it up, but it's
here in April, so and it's not the first show.
I can give you the exact date.
Speaker 6 (21:22):
Wow, So maybe she's due like at the end of
the year.
Speaker 7 (21:25):
February eleventh is her first one in Palm's Palm Desert.
Speaker 6 (21:30):
Damn.
Speaker 10 (21:30):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
And by the way, tickets for the Cardi tour go
on sale next Friday. And she co hosted The Today
Show with Jenna and Friends this week and Lisa, Gail King,
I think is your opening act this week because you're
in Tampa, Florida with Ellen Hildebrand and Gail King was
talking to Ellen Nildebrand yesterday.
Speaker 6 (21:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
So Ellen and her daughter Shelby wrote a book together
called The Academy. So she left Nantucket and she's taking
on sort of a novel about the behind the scenes
of boarding school where her daughter, you know, went to
Saint George's in Rhode Islands. So yeah, so Gail King
asked her yesterday, how did this whole idea come about?
Speaker 14 (22:13):
Shelby attended Saint George's School in Newport, Rhode Island, and
she went as a sophomore the year after COVID and
twenty twenty one, and when she got there, she was
calling four or five times a day having a wonderful time.
But the stories were so mind blowing that eventually, in
the middle of her sophomore year, I said, we.
Speaker 6 (22:32):
Have to write a novel. Yeah, So they did it together.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
And one of the questions I'm going to ask her
tonight at my book club at Birch Lane in Tampa
is how did they work together?
Speaker 6 (22:43):
How was the process?
Speaker 14 (22:45):
So, I, because I'm the novelist, we created the characters
and the arc of the characters together, and then basically
I started writing, and I would give Shelby assignments like
a teacher to a student, and I'd say, okay, you
write the scene where Dobby goes and tells Charlie the
she has to go to first dance. And so Shelby
would write the scene and then send us me via email,
and then I would edit her. And then when I
(23:06):
would write scenes, I'd send them to Shelby and she
edited me.
Speaker 6 (23:10):
And that was where it became very humbling.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Yeah. And by the way, if you're sitting there listening
and wondering how to put these pieces together, well, Lisa
is broadcasting from Tampa, Florida, and her book club is
in Tampa, Florida tonight.
Speaker 10 (23:23):
Lisa, Welcome to Florida. I'm on my way to Tampa
right now. I live in Boca. It's a four hour
drive and I got a hotel room. I'm staying there,
and I'm going solo with out husband and kids. As
much as I love them, it's nice to have a
little break. And I can't wait to meet you, big
(23:43):
big fan, and I used to have FOMO all the
time every time you had a book club, So can't
wait to be a part of it.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
Finally, I gotta tell you your book club is turning
into like a Sabrina Carpenter tour. Like the demand for
the tickets. People are flying to your book clubs in Florida.
They're taking renting cars. It's so true.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
We have like people that flew down from Boston that
are in the book club.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
Lisa, not anymore. But I forgot to tell you this
is exclusive.
Speaker 7 (24:10):
I saw you in someone's obituary, soone passed away and
they talked about going with their daughter to your book
club that she would.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
Always right now.
Speaker 7 (24:19):
I mean I thought it was a very nice sentiment
that they were. That was the thing they bonded over.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
Yeah where is that?
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Oh, I can get it for you.
Speaker 7 (24:27):
But yeah, yeah, I just thought of it because you know,
because we're talking about how this one driving four hours
and this mother and daughter like bonded over your book club.
Speaker 6 (24:39):
Wow my god, that's incredible.
Speaker 10 (24:41):
Right.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
So so anyway, so we want to thank Birch Lane
and the Wayfair group because we are at Joson made
in Boston.
Speaker 6 (24:47):
Bill, you're doing your meat to.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Eat at All Modern, which is another wayfair Brand. And
Burch Lane is here in Florida, so that's why we're here.
And Ellen will be joining us tonight at Burch Lane,
but we will be streaming it at seven pm tonight
on the Kiss Facebook page, so you can join in
all the fun and watch it from Boston.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
Oh, this show was like a fast moving train. I'm
just saying because now we have a date in a
place for Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's wedding. They're going
to tie the not September twenty seven. That's coming up
real soon in Santa Barbara at a private estate. Rooms
are going for like thirty five hundred bucks a night,
and it's the wedding will be in a secret location,
so guests will be picked up and driven there, not
(25:29):
knowing exactly where they're going. And Demi Lovado was on
Andy Cohen last night. She and Selena had well kind
of a falling out several years ago, but they've since
mended fences to some degree, and she was asked about
both Selena and Selena's new album Listen to.
Speaker 9 (25:44):
The Selena Gomez interview with Jake Shane, where she gushed
about how good it is to see you doing your
thing and have you gotten a chance to listen to
her album with Benny Blanco.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
I have listened to the album, really, really great job.
Speaker 6 (25:56):
I love the songs on it. Blewis Flame was my song.
Speaker 14 (26:00):
And I heard clips of what she said on the podcast.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
It was really really sweet and I couldn't be happier
for her.
Speaker 6 (26:07):
She's engaged, and yeah, I just wish her the best.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
And Amiley Sarras has a new song coming out this Friday.
It's called Secrets. We have a click anyway, okay, And
the new season of Dancing with the Stars started last night.
Hilaria Baldwin at her first spin on the dance job. Yeah,
(26:36):
Alec and the kids, we're in the audience, and this
was Hilaria after the dance.
Speaker 15 (26:41):
I like just signed up for this like right before
it started, because I was not on my radar at all,
like at all, and so I was one of these
like crazy last minute things where I guess people were
calling into the show and then Dancing with the Stars
preached out to me, and then I was like on
a plane a couple of days later and I was like,
what am I? And then I moved my whole family
(27:01):
here and I was like, what am I doing? And
I signed the contract as I'm getting off the plane
before bag It's like chasing my two year old who
was pushing our babies her like perten little stroller.
Speaker 6 (27:11):
I was like, what am I doing? But I'm but
I did it and I'm here and I'm happy.
Speaker 9 (27:16):
Maha.
Speaker 7 (27:17):
Maria Baldwin's voice is what I imagine my chiuba sound.
Speaker 4 (27:26):
So crazy. She does have the craziest voice, crazy, insufferable.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
Hey, we're brought to you by Dover Rug. They're gonna
come to your house. Let's say you go to the
store at Dover Rug. You see rugs, you like, you
want them, but you want to see them in your
own home. They make that happen. They will bring the
rugs to your house, put them on the floors you
want the rugs in, and then you make your decision.
So go to Dover Rugg. It's in Natick, Boston, Burlington
or doverrug dot com and there you go.
Speaker 14 (28:00):
From the Planet Fitness Kiss one Await Studios, We're back
with a Billy and Lisa in the morning and.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
In case you're just joining us A. Lisa Dunovan has
been broadcasting live all morning from Tampa, Florida. She's got
an incredible book event with our radio station in Tampa tonight,
and we'll talk about that in a couple of seconds.
But Lisa will be doing her event at Birch Lane
in Tampa, Florida, which was one of Wayfair's properties, and
it so happens. I have an event coming up. It's
(28:29):
our second one. It's called Meat to Eat with a
Billy Costa, and it'll be happening September thirtieth at All
Modern at Market Street in Lynnfield, which is another Wayfair property.
And this is a cool event. We're going to be
teaming up with my buddy, chef Jason Karen from a
post nineteen seventeen steakhouse. They've got two locations, one in
(28:51):
Reading and a newer one in Lexington. And the way
it works, Lisha, you went to the first one.
Speaker 6 (28:56):
I did. I loved it.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
Everybody gathers, we just meet, we talked, we eat, they
serve food, and we have a lot of fun. We'll
have some prizes to give away. So it's a very
cool night out September thirtieth. We announced it yesterday and
we're down to the final few tickets. I think there
are still a few left. So all you have to
do is go to Kiss oneaweight dot com slash eat
(29:20):
Kiss oneaweight dot com slash eat and before this is happening,
I'm sure I'll probably have a private guest list. I
can throw a few people on.
Speaker 4 (29:28):
I'll be there.
Speaker 1 (29:29):
Yeah. So now I've talked a lot about how proud
I am of Elisa Donovan and what she has done
with her book club, the fact that she's in Tampa,
She's done the show in Hartford. I'm sure you'll probably
go to Los Angeles in Atlanta and you'll tour the
whole country and then you'll be at Wembley Stadium in
London eventually. But how cool is this when he found
(29:53):
a story where your book club is mentioned in someone's
old Bitch.
Speaker 7 (30:00):
Yes, Well, thoughts and prayers to the fay he and
Lammy family. So essentially what happened was I used to
work for the Patriots Make Your Jokes Now. And one
of the camera men that I used to book because
I did all the scheduling for all like the in
house camera work named Tom, very nice man. He was
married to this woman named Pamela. They live in Milton,
and she passed away unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago,
(30:22):
and her daughter and her Kristen, are big fans of
the show and they go to the Leasa's book club
and all that. And I was reading through the obituary
when I saw Tom post on Facebook, and I was like,
it dawned on me because obviously we make so many connections.
When I heard the names and I was like, oh
my god, that's Kristin who I've you know, messaged with,
and I felt so bad. I don't want to She
died in an axe a biking accident, I believe. And
(30:45):
in the book club it was mentioned saying that they
would go and bond over the kisuanaw eight book club.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
Yeah, it says Pam as in Pamela O'Reilly fayhee from Milton.
Pam was an avid reader and weather she was attending
a concert or Lisa's book club event, she cherished every
single moment. That to me is just amazingly. She should
be so proud.
Speaker 6 (31:10):
Oh I am. I mean, it's the reason why we started.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
It was to make connections for people to give people
a safe space to come by themselves as women, or
bring their friends, bring their daughters, bring their their moms
or their sisters. So this is exactly what Pam did
with Kristen, and I couldn't be more proud, honestly. Now,
we brought them together and we gave them something to
(31:32):
do that was really fun and different, and they could
spend time with each other. So again I'm like, I'm
overwhelmed with emotion because she's from Milton too, and I
live in Milton. So you know, thoughts and prayers to
their family.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
And you have book club members that have flown to
Tampa for this event tonight, you have them renting cars
and driving to Tampa the event tonight.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
A woman's coming in from Boca, and my parents are
actually driving in from South Carolina. And Ellen was just
in New York yesterday. She was on CBS Mornings with
Gail King doing an interview with her daughter Shelby about
the book The Academy. And that's why Ellen is. She's
on a book tour now and she's stopping in Tampa
for Lisa's book Club. And we're here with Mixed one
(32:16):
hundred point seven, which is an iHeart station in Tampa
and we're doing it together. So Ashley from the station
here will be joining me and Ellen tonight at Berch
Lane in Tampa.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
And for anyone who can't make it to Tampa, Florida,
it's going to stream live from Tampa.
Speaker 11 (32:30):
Right.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
Well, you just go to the Kiss Want to Wait
Facebook page and you can watch our Q and A
with Ellen.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (32:38):
So what you're saying is Gail King was the lead
up opening act to Lisa's book.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
Yeah, opening act.
Speaker 6 (32:44):
Warm up and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
Well, if you're leaving us leftovers, we save this segment
just for you every morning.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
Right Joshin. Yeah, you can join the show throughout the
morning on the iHeart app. Just taped that little microphone
button you recorded right into your phone. Lisa Donovan is
in Tampa from her book club tonight with Ellen Hildebrand
and Lisa. I don't know. Ellen is headed north. It
seems like after she leaves you.
Speaker 7 (33:09):
Hey, gang, Hey, Lisa, Ellen Hildebrand's coming to Charleston on Thursday.
Speaker 10 (33:14):
Why don't you just come with her because I would
love to be able to to one of your book clubs.
Speaker 6 (33:19):
Have a great day.
Speaker 10 (33:21):
Wow.
Speaker 6 (33:21):
That sounds like a good idea. We love Charleston, skip.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
Jump your parents go over there.
Speaker 6 (33:26):
I know, well they live outside, they haven't Bluffton. But yeah.
So yeah, Allen's on a book tour.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
So like she's doing you know, multiple cities right now,
and she has so many fans across the country. I
know she was in Miami with her daughter yesterday. Her
daughter goes to you Miami. She was in New York
with Gail King doing CBS Morning, and now she'll be
in Tampa and then she's going to Charleston.
Speaker 4 (33:50):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
Oh, and I have to mention she will be back
in Boston. So she's doing my book club in Boston
on October twenty first. Oh at Johnson Maine in Burlington.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
Oh that's a small one.
Speaker 12 (34:01):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
She goes from Gail King on CBS to you. Yeah,
it's amazing.
Speaker 4 (34:07):
Gail's the leading How you like that?
Speaker 3 (34:09):
Hey, could you guys say the name of the book again?
I missed it when.
Speaker 6 (34:13):
My radio turned on.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
It's called The Academy and it's about the scandals and
private schools by a novel loosely based Yeah, the boarding
handles the boarding schools.
Speaker 11 (34:27):
Okay, I hope secret sounds still exists in like ten
to fifteen years. My secret weapon my son problem right now,
he can hear everything, except he doesn't know the voca
because he's only a toddler.
Speaker 4 (34:41):
She wants a teammates. Hopefully we'll be doing Secrets Sound
in ten and fifteen years. It's a fun game. The
jackpot's over eighteen hundred dollars right now. We'll play it
again at two ten with the v Bros And Gianna.
Speaker 12 (34:54):
Hey, Billy, Lisa, WHOLKU love you all. Been listening to
you since I can turn on a radio, and we'll
continue to do so until I can't.
Speaker 6 (35:02):
But could you please look into Laria Baldwin.
Speaker 12 (35:04):
She is not Latina. This girl is not anywhere, shape
or form, have any Hispanic blood or heritage. And she
scammed you know, Alec and everybody else.
Speaker 7 (35:17):
We've talked about this, yeah, extensively.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
Think Alec knows she's not.
Speaker 6 (35:21):
Really and I think he's okay with that.
Speaker 4 (35:25):
Yeah, yeah, he doesn't care.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
Yeah, he's in on the scam.
Speaker 4 (35:28):
I think this pretty much sums it up.
Speaker 9 (35:30):
They have a vun trap amount of children and uh
and they name them all I'm not sure, but very
Spanish names like Harmone and Croquetta and Flamenco, you know,
and all of this would be fine and beautiful.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
Except that Ilaria.
Speaker 9 (35:54):
Francispania is actually hiller from Boston. This woman is in
no way Spanish. Her parents are not from Spain. No
one in her life is from Spain.
Speaker 8 (36:17):
So here's my point.
Speaker 6 (36:18):
Okay, I actually have a point. Okay.
Speaker 9 (36:20):
My point is that all evidence points to this woman
since she met her husband has straight up pretended to
be from Spain, and her husband shot someone. Now, stay
with me, Stay with me. My point is neither of
them give.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
A home owned. By the way, it's a Spanish ham.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
Kids one away, it's the morning wrap up on Billy
and Lisa in the Morning.
Speaker 4 (36:52):
Okay, let's take a look back at this Wednesday show, Busy,
busy show, no winner. On the secret sound, the jackpaw
continues to grow. It is one thousand, in eight hundred
and sixty four dollars.
Speaker 3 (37:02):
I think the secret sound is dragging a body across
the floor.
Speaker 4 (37:06):
Okay, that's not the correct answer, but you never would be.
Now you can see all the incorrect guesses on Injury
Money's Instagram, So follow injury Money at injury Money, all
the incorrect guesses are there. In two ten, you'll have
your next shot to guess the secret sound eighteen hundred bucks.
It's not bad.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
Oh, no, I'd take it.
Speaker 4 (37:27):
It's pretty good. It's pretty good. Also, this morning, we
had a whole topic time about restaurant recommendations because of
Jeremy Piven, who was in Boston for the week. He
was looking for them, so you know, we helped him
out and our listeners as well. And Lisa, of course
is in Tampa for her book club.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Good morning.
Speaker 3 (37:42):
I just called in about the restaurant, but I also
forgot to mention that since Lisa is in Tampa, she
should check out the meat Market in Hyde Park Village.
First of all, she would love the shopping area and
the food is great there, great for people watching you.
Speaker 2 (37:59):
Lee's actually really nice, like I've we're saying in a
beautiful hotel like the Downtown air and where we're staying
is really lovely.
Speaker 4 (38:07):
Yeah, meat market, hit the meat mark. Well, you know,
Lisa says.
Speaker 6 (38:09):
You want a little fat in your meat. Flavor.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
Flavor had a good name for a male strip club. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (38:18):
I mentioned Jeremy Piven. He was in studio. He has
a show at the wilbur on Friday Night. That's Ari
Gold from Entourage and so many classic movies, including Serendipity
with John Cusack. We're going way back here, but really
cool moment because we were playing some clips from his movies,
including a little speech he had in Serendipity, and he
told me to take it off. Here's a clip.
Speaker 8 (38:37):
Jonathon Trader from television Producer.
Speaker 4 (38:40):
He was like, oh, shut it off. I don't want
to hear it. I don't want to hear it. He
was cool about it, but he explained that you know,
he takes acting so seriously and he wanted to do
multiple takes. He wants to get it right. Yeah, and
they wouldn't let him one take. That's all he got
and so now it lives forever and he hates it.
Speaker 8 (38:54):
Anyone that's worked with me, I'm a real pain in
the ass because I always want another take, to try
a different way to do it. So that one I
had one take and I don't like the way it sounds.
Speaker 4 (39:03):
Yeah, that's a really cool behind the scenes moment with Jeremy.
Speaker 1 (39:07):
He's a cool guy.
Speaker 4 (39:08):
Yeah, So the wilbrid dot Com. There's probably a few
tickets left for Friday Night go see him and at
Lisa's book club is tonight in Tampa. You can watch
it seven o'clock on the Kiss When I wait Facebook
page with Ellen Hildebrand. The book club heads to Tampa.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
And I have this announcement. The Mush will be at
Fenway Park tonight. Not a good time for the Mush
to go to a Red Sox.
Speaker 4 (39:29):
There are already three games back in the wild. Now
it's going to be Friday.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
Are they kind of out now? Not yet, but they're
mathematically it's there a chance, but it gets further.
Speaker 4 (39:40):
And forward away from them. Roman Anthony got hurt. Yeah,
he's out. And ever since then they've kind of been
struggling and the pitching has been struggling too well. They
have left telling you how many? How many base runs
did they leave? On Dad last night?
Speaker 1 (39:53):
Seven? I think, are you going to the booth? I
don't know yet. I didn't really ask typically if I'm there,
we do. But I know I'm going to the game
Red Sox age tonight fen Waite Park. Boy, sounds good,
sounds good. And I'll be on Boston City Hall Plaza
this afternoon four to eight pm. It's the Namaste Sober
Sober festival. It is a recovery month September. You know,
(40:15):
obviously I work with power of recovery. Some power invited
me to be a guest speaker on Boston City Hall
Plaza and you'll be great.
Speaker 4 (40:22):
I guess. I'll do my best, but.
Speaker 7 (40:25):
And I'll be on my couch. Well, you guys are
all doing these great things.
Speaker 4 (40:28):
That's perfect. That's perfect. So it's really cool. It's a
really cool festival. It brings together wellness, resilience and you
know the power of the community in Austin, so it's
really cool. It's from four to eight. I will be
speaking at four o'clock. If you go to my Instagram
story at just a Beezy, there's a link for tickets.
They're free. I'm sure you could just show up. But
(40:50):
it's pretty cool because I'm not cool. But on City
Hall Plaza, there's a part over there that's kind of
covered and I used to sleep under that little thing
when I during my addiction some rough times. I remember
like laying down and trying to sleep when it was
raining out and it was covered. And now I'll be
speaking there. So it's a full circle moment for the.
Speaker 1 (41:08):
Should put a little brass plate there with their name
on it on the bench, and they.
Speaker 4 (41:12):
Should outline my body like you know, they should do
the chalk line.
Speaker 6 (41:15):
Oh my god.
Speaker 4 (41:16):
Yeah. So anyway, come check it out. You nothing to do,
four o'clock, Boston City Hall Plaza.
Speaker 1 (41:20):
All right, And Lisa, we'll be watching you on the
live stream tonight the Guess you want to be Facebook page.
And meanwhile, we're gonna say hello to the Mighty mckabe
he's up next. And open that door, plea.
