Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now best morning show in Boston, Billie and Lisa in
the morning.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's just a great start to my day on Kids
run Away.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Well, good morning everybody, and a happy Monday to you.
It's a very cold Monday morning out there.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Lisa, biting cold wind.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Yeah, yeah, very windy last night, Still windy out there
this morning. It's gonna warm up later this week to
near fifty degrees. But right now we got to get
through this cold. It feels like zero out there.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
It does. Be careful. There's a lot of the black
ice too.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
And it's the morning after jingle Ball. We all managed
to wake up. I'm here, Lisa's here, Justin's here, and
there's a producer Riley right there ending right next to me.
Jingle Ball. That's what happens. It's a long night. It's
a Sunday night. You still have to get up Monday
morning and go to work.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
And the tough thing, too, is not just getting a
little sleep, it's trying to fall asleep. Yes, after the yeah,
you know, you just left to completely pack the TD garden.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Everybody going nuts, you know, and then you got to
get in bed and you're like.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
It's it's like an hour for me to come down
from it.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Oh, man, your brain is just corked.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
I was thinking about everything the whole day. It was
an amazing day.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Yeah, thanks to the performers. We had a great line
up last night. Obviously thanks to the listeners for showing
up and packing the TV garden and a lot of you,
I know are probably up early and doing your thing
this morning. So it was great. Miles Smith was awesome,
Edgeer and Olivia Dean, Raven, Lenney, Zara Larson. Boy can
she dance.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
I'm just saying I like that little choreography she had
going there when she was I don't know how to
describe it. She was like twerking across the stage. Yeah,
that was dope.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
I don't even know how you do that with the
human body, but crazy. And she did that thing where
she brought somebody else to dance during was it Lush Life?
Is that the song?

Speaker 5 (01:47):
She?

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Yes, it is.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
That song's ten years old and now it's back.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
Around by I love that people streaming it playing it everywhere.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
But we'll relive some of the moments. It was all
crazy backstage. You have to understand, I mean, while the
show was going on out there and everybody's having fun.
We're all backstage, me and Lisa and Justin and producer Riley,
and we're doing a live radio show. We're doing all
the interviews, so all of a sudden, it's time to
go home. Is the show over? I never had a
chance to go out and look, but we did see

(02:17):
a few songs when Age Shearon took the out on stage.
How does he do that? Manch oh Man?

Speaker 4 (02:23):
And I like how he announces right when he comes on.
He goes, I want you to know every song you hear
tonight is live. I'm going to build the track on
the spot, and then he does, you know, he takes
a couple of minutes to build the song up before
he sings.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
I think the second song it did was asie Zama,
and it was like the beginning of his one shot
where he starts creating the sound for the song and
then all of a sudden, everybody's on their feet and
going nuts. But yeah, so we'll break down dingle Ball
throughout the morning. But it's one of those difficult moments
for the Billy and Lisa Morning Show, especially the morning

(02:54):
after an event like jingle Ball, when there was such
a tragedy on the Brown University campus. And by the way,
if you're just waking up, there's a new twist to that.
The person of interest that they had taken into custody
has been released. Apparently there wasn't enough evidence to hold

(03:15):
on to this person, which means the investigation now starts
from scratch and they're looking for the gunman, and the
gun person is still out there somewhere.

Speaker 6 (03:24):
Well, I have to say, and if you're listening and
you don't know this, my son is a freshman at
Brown University. So it's really touched our family in such
a deep and tragic way. They've canceled the rest of
the week. They've canceled all the exams, and it's just
a really sad situation and very very scary.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
And Max was at home.

Speaker 6 (03:45):
Max was at home because of jingle Ball. Yeah, the class,
you know, the engineering building in the class. It was
an Econ one hundred class that they were reviewing for
their exam this week. Max knew the victim. One of
the victims, and several of the kids that were shot were.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Friends of our, friends of his.

Speaker 6 (04:07):
So all we are thinking about right now is that
they recover, you know, And it's just it's a horrible tragedy.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Just a crazy situation. My wife Michelle said to me, God,
I can't even imagine this, Like you, Lis, it's like,
you know, you're a parent. You're gearing up for the holidays.
You're excited that your children are coming home for the holidays,
they're wrapping up the semester, they're taking their finals, and
all of a sudden, there's somebody shooting at people on campus,
and now you're wondering if your child is okay, like

(04:38):
you will.

Speaker 6 (04:39):
Yeah, and Brown is such a warm and welcoming environment.
Max has been having such a wonderful time there in
his first semester, so for this to happen to the
students and to the class, it's just over it's overwhelming.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Yeah, it's good to see Max last night, and you
could tell he's really, you know, affected by this whole thing.
And Max, if he's up to it this morning, at least,
we'll see when he wakes up. But he may come
on with us this morning, because, like Lisa said, at
least one of his friends was shot and is still
in the hospital and very very serious wounds.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
Yeah, just saying, at least I'm not going to play them,
but there's about five hundred talkbacks from people that were concerned.

Speaker 6 (05:17):
I have to say thank you to our listening audience
because that for me was overwhelming that everyone was reaching
out and asking if he was okay. So I want
to say thank you to everyone because it was really
it was really nice of.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
You to think of our family. Yeah, look at a
Brown community.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
So many people texting me, is least the son Max? Okay,
all my friends Okay, it hasn't stopped. Yeah, So our
thoughts are with you and with Max and with the
Brown University community. And we'll keep you updated as much
as we can. And if if Max is up for
it this morning, we'll have them on and he can
share his thoughts, especially with regard to his friends, a

(05:55):
couple of which are still in the hospital.

Speaker 7 (05:57):
This morning from the Planet Fitness Kiss one O eight Studios,
we're back with Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Hey guys, so welcome back. It is a Monday, and
it's the Monday morning after jingle Ball, which again was amazingly.

Speaker 6 (06:14):
Oh got every act was more amazing than the next one.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
My favorite.

Speaker 6 (06:18):
I got to actually see Olivia Dean. I was standing
in the crowd oh man.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
She had a cool band too. She had a brass section.
I knew she would she did.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
I saw them walking down the hall like, this is.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
So cool guy.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
I saw a little bit from side stage, but she
was super nice. We met her backstage, just very sweet.
How you would imagine?

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Can I say that the puppies backstage were.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Chewy Claus big hit. The artists loved the puppies. Every
one of them just grabbed the puppy and held.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
On to it. And I think Olivia Dean went in
and sat in the corral with all of the puppies
at one point last night.

Speaker 5 (06:52):
She did it.

Speaker 6 (06:52):
It was Chewy dot com sash Chewy Claus and you
can make a wish for your pet, right Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
You can see all the videos on the kiss social
every artist at the end of the interview with Billy,
they would bring the puppies in and they just lost
their minds.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Great Zara Larson.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
If I'm not mistaken, she may have taken one.

Speaker 6 (07:09):
That was a moment.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
Yeah, she fell in love. I think the dog's name
was Eggnog. They named all the pups after something Christmas
like Tinsel and Holy and joy. But yeah, just to
explain the backstage situation. We're all hanging out there, me
and Lisa and justin producer Riley, and they just come

(07:30):
in like every minute, it seems there's another artist coming
in and you're doing another interview. And we started off
with Miles Smith because he was the first performer to
actually come backstage, and he was working it in the afternoon. Yesterday.
He did a pop up at the Dubliner in Boston
at three o'clock in the afternoon and he talked to

(07:52):
us about it.

Speaker 8 (07:53):
It was incredible, what a time man, and just being
able to take in the city, meet the people, and
just be part of it. Before tonight, I knew I
was coming over, and I knew it was going to
be gone to a few states, and Bustin being one
of my favorites. But it's just like, let's just go
out and do something. Christmas is around the corner. Let's
have some fun.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
And then Sharon had done the Doublinner.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
And that's where he got the idea because he and
Ed Sheeran here bodies. In fact, he'll talk about that
coming up later this morning in the Entertainment Report right
after seven o'clock.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Rumor has it ed was supposed to be there, but
there was a little bit of a scheduling issue.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Maybe Ed didn't get here in time. Oh, but that
was the rumor that Ed was going to join him.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
Yeah, Ed Sharon was hanging out with everybody backstage.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
We have to talk about this. Yeah, yeah, it was
you know, it was pure Ed Saron Like he walked in.
He's standing side stage. Zarah Lawson's going on stage, and
he ran up the stairs and on stage.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
No, he ran, he ran by us with his coat
still on. He had just gotten to the venue. He
ran on stage just to talk to Zara. Then he
came off and watched her performance with Miles Smith. Her
entire performance, they're laughing it up. And then he did
the same with Sean Paul. Sean Paul came off and
there was Edding Seahn.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
Yeah, what a what a nice guy.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
And Olivia Dean was just awesome on stage and backstage.
And I asked her about her experience. Don't forget just
recently she did Saturday.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Night Live and that was the episode where Glenn Powell
was the guest host and Olivia Dean the musical guest.

Speaker 9 (09:20):
It's very surreal, I think, especially being from London SNL
and just the TV over here feels like kind of
the dream thing you'd always want to do. So I
was just sort of looking around the whole time, being like,
this is crazy that I'm actually ESNL. Glenn is fantastic,
and the whole crew and the team and the way
it kind of runs like an actual, you know, live
kind of show.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
It was just it's a bit overwhelming.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
I was just happy to be.

Speaker 9 (09:43):
A part of it, and yeah, I was.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
I'm happy with how it when.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
How cool was Olivia Dean by the way, so elegant
and glassy, just so beautiful. Yeah, and she's a tiny
little thing, yeah yeah, sure, yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
And sweet so pretty.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Zarah Larson crushed it on stage last night. You have
to understand most of these artists are on the so
called jingle Ball or iHeart Tour, and I know that
Zara Larson did our New York show. I think it
was Friday night. But she had the thrill of a
lifetime when she was in New York because she had
an experience on top of the Empire State Building and

(10:20):
she talked about it.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
I was on top of the Empire State Building.

Speaker 10 (10:22):
I got to switch to lights so I got to
pick up what lights I wanted it to be, and
I picked yellow and pink because I feel like that
represents my album Midnight Sun.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Sure.

Speaker 10 (10:31):
So the whole top of this iconic building lit up
in the colors that I picked, and I got to
go up, like up, up, up, up up where they
don't have any sort of safety, like nothing, you know,
it's just like view. Luckily, I'm not scared of heights whatsoever.
So the only thing was that it was very windy

(10:53):
up there.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Oh God, I could see this.

Speaker 10 (10:55):
Beautiful pink light and just a view of the city
and it was really amazing, and it was things to
to iHeart.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Yeah, Justin and I were watching the video of her
experience on top of the Empire State Building early this morning.
Boy she can dance. Yeah, boy, this girl can dance.
And a special moment backstage Sam Whedenhoffer, Now he's the
kindness influencer, and he made a young girl's wish come true.
Backstage with Zara Larson.

Speaker 11 (11:22):
Tonight we made another dream come true as well. Zara
Larson for go called Mimi. She's been battling Kansas. She's
about to ring the bell in a couple of weeks
and a literal ultimate like dream in life was to
meet Zara Larson and she had no idea till about
four hours ago tonight.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
So it's already happened here at jingle Ball.

Speaker 11 (11:42):
Then then yeah, we're gonna go have fun tonight. And yes,
sen her loan to Zara Larson and every other artist
at jingle Bo.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
Wow, it should be a good night. See, that's the
thing we try to explain to everybody, the magic that
is jingle Ball. Even the artists love doing it because
they get to hang out with each other casually. Back stage,
they go from dressing room to dressing room, and you know,
collaborations are born sometime at jingle Yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
But Sam like he's doing the lord's work.

Speaker 6 (12:09):
Kid.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
You can go find his videos on TikTok and Instagram.
I mean, he's got millions of views and he's just
helping people. He's the guy that raised a million and
a half dollars for that veteran, the eighty eight year
old guy that was working in a grocery store.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
Not livable. That was an amazing video to watch, by
the way. Yeah, so good for Sam. We'll hear more
from him coming up later this morning. Meantime, Sean Paul
came back to jingle Ball. He was at our jingle
Ball three years ago. He just loves Boston.

Speaker 12 (12:35):
Yeah, it's always good to find up up here and
get that nice guineas you know, or just like visit friends.

Speaker 13 (12:43):
You know.

Speaker 12 (12:43):
I have a couple of friends that live here. I
have actually a couple of nieces that are in school here.

Speaker 11 (12:47):
Now.

Speaker 12 (12:48):
Oh yeah, they've come to the shoulder outside, so excited
to see what they think of it. But yeah, Boston
has always been a great time to come to for people,
for vibes, for food for me.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
Yeah, we had to run on stage, so McCay had
to do the interview with Sean Paul.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Yeah, that's a duo. That's how crazy I guess. Cave
was wearing the shiniest shoes I think I've ever seen.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
He doesn't even know how you get a shine. He
asked about twenty times if I liked them. I'm like, yeah,
they looked great.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
But was he in the Marines or something? Usually you
have to be in the Marines to get a shine
like that. But we the three of us, had a
really cool moment because at the end of the night,
we got to introduce Ed Shearon on stage, and then
the three of us stood there and watched Ed Sheeran
perform his magic. It was almost like the beginning of
his one Shot special that he did recently, where he

(13:44):
just starts building the song from the bottom up and
people just get on their feet and they go crazy.

Speaker 6 (13:50):
I think that was the moment for us, was watching
the crowd go crazy and the just like enjoying every single.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Second of that was a moment.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
God, we had a young girl in one of us
when we're watching Ed cheer and she had to be
ten years old and she was jumping up and down
to every single lyric and I'm like looking him spanning
the ages.

Speaker 5 (14:10):
It was.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
It was just such a cool moment. Speak of speaking
of d cheerin We've got EDG cheeron tickets at seven,
ten and eighten but they qualify for a grand prize
justin again.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
Yeah, sign Vinyl from Ed Charon. So Ed Sharon's coming
back to Gullette next September. So we're keeping the jingle
Ball Glow going seven ten and a ten. And by
the way, tonight seven o'clock, the special edition Backstage Countdown
will air again. Wow at seven o'clock. Here, all the interviews,
all the moments. It's live, Bud oh Man, what a
show for jingle Ball Awest.

Speaker 9 (14:40):
Hello, it's me Olivia Dean and you're waking up with
Billy and Lisa in the morning on Kiss one Away.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Hi, Lisa from.

Speaker 7 (14:49):
The Planet Fitness Kiss one Await Studios. We're back with
Villy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
Yeah, we're back, and I feel it's like we just
walked across the street from the TV garden, came right
in for.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
The morning show we did. We rolled in, yes, the
morning after jingle Ball. If you're just waking up. We
had a great time, and I'm assuming all of our
listeners that went to jingle Ball had a great time.
Certainly look like they did. Everybody was on their feet
from start to finish. Ed Shearon wrapped up the show.
Oh did I say, ed Shearon? Yes, we have a
pair of tickets to see Ed Shearon when he comes

(15:22):
back to town next summer. He's doing a stadium show
out at Chilette. So we're gonna need a caller twenty
five and caller twenty five you will need a keyword.
Why don't you tell them what the keyword is lace.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
The keyword is puppies.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
Puppies. We had puppies backstage from Chewy Claws at jingle
Ball last night.

Speaker 4 (15:42):
They were so cute. So caller twenty five six justin Yeah,
and there's a grand prize winner. If you are the
grand prize winner, you'll win a signed an autographed vinyl
from ed Ooh vinyl signed.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
And vinyls are cool. You can frame them and hang
them on the wall.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
Oh yeah, okay, So call it twenty five six one
seven night Lisa.

Speaker 7 (16:05):
Now the entertainment update with a billy copstap on kiss.

Speaker 14 (16:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (16:10):
We've got a lot of jingle Ball starf But let's
start this hour with the Patriots.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
They were lost to the Bills yesterday, kind of getting
lost in the headlines this morning. So they had a
chance to clinch the AFC East, They had a chance
to lock up a spot in the playoffs. They had
a twenty one point lead and they blew it. You
blow it.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
I couldn't believe it, man, That first half was perfect. Yeah,
but Travis Scott was in the boot in the box
with Robert Kraft. Yet from the crowd up all pumped
up when they went up twenty one. Zip Justin texted
me on to the Super Bowl. Well, yep, all my
friends too, Yeah, not so much.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
They lost to Josh Allen and the Bills thirty five
thirty one the final. Here's Drake.

Speaker 14 (16:56):
Yeah, just don't let you don't let it beat twice.
You'll move on to the next weekend, learn from it,
and you'll take what we can and know that we
got some football ahead of us. That amis is important,
still very important, and uh, don't just go hang our
hat and keep your head up and know that you
know we had a chance.

Speaker 15 (17:11):
And you know we're there.

Speaker 14 (17:12):
Just they made more plays and credit them.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
You boing and yeah, Drake, we're trying to move on.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
Are we going to mention that we met Drake's parents
this weekend?

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Oh my god, I forgot about that. Yeah, and I
think his sibling, Yeah was there too.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
So we were.

Speaker 6 (17:26):
We had a pre jingle ball brunch with all of
the on air staff for Kiss Went Away and Marketing,
and yeah, his parents were sitting at one of the tables.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
And his dad came over.

Speaker 14 (17:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Hello, We had a nice conversation. Nice nice guy.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
And chanting Drake's name in the restaurant that's right.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
Maybe it was our chap that did it.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
His mom filmed it. I wonder if she posted all right, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
Yeah, that was very cool. That was cool. Meantime, the
Patriots played the Ravens. That's going to be a Sunday
night game, and the good news is they've got a
pretty easy schedule going forward. And there was a moment
of silence before the game for the victims of the
Brown University tragedy. Josh Allen and the Bills. By the way,
we're staying at a hotel near the Brown campus, and

(18:11):
Josh said this, it's a terrible thing.

Speaker 16 (18:14):
But yeah, I mean, obviously we're out, some guys are
eating dinner, you know, blocks away from where it was
going on, and you know, making sure that we were
getting updates from our team. And I thought we did
a great job of communicating with everybody and adding some
extra security, you know, at the hotel. But we have
a very scary situation.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
Yeah, in case you missed it, this morning, the person
of interest taken into custody has been released, so the gunman,
the killer is still on the loose. Two people were killed,
several others injured, one of them a friend of your son, Max.

Speaker 6 (18:45):
Ley's, Yeah, lives on the same floor. She's still in
the hospital and stable condition. It was a lot of
freshmen were injured. And yeah, it's a it's a very sad, sad,
sad situation. But thanks to all of our listeners who
reached out to find out if Max is okay.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
Yeah, I was getting a lot of text messages, is
at least some Max okay? Is he okay? Is he okay?
So yeah, and he is okay.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
Very scary and I couldn't respond to any of them
because I didn't know what I didn't know.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
It was all coming at once. The whole thing was unfolding.
We're going to try to have Max, if he's up
for it, at least, we'll try to have them on
at nine to ten this morning. But another tragedy in
the news. Hollywood actor and director Rob Reiner and his
wife were found stabbed to death in their Los Angeles home.
Now the investigation is ongoing, but reports say their son

(19:39):
is a suspect in this.

Speaker 11 (19:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
People magazine is reporting that Nick Nick Reiner is the
main suspect.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
Their daughter on them dead, stabbed in their own God. Yeah,
and I know a.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
Lot of people know this, but Rob and Nick Reiner
actually made a movie that was based on their relationship
in Nick's Substance Abuse, Even Long Struggles about ten years.
So this is just another horrific situation.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Yeah. Rob Ryner, by the way, was meathead on the
show All in the Family. He also directed movies like
stand By Me, A Few Good Men, When Harry Met Sally,
and he appeared in movies too, like The Wolf of
Wall Streets.

Speaker 11 (20:14):
They're all shaved to get out of here, all shaven,
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 3 (20:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (20:19):
No, bald is a China bush, no bush god.

Speaker 11 (20:23):
All of a sudden, one week, nobody had anything down
there in.

Speaker 3 (20:27):
The New World. They're bald.

Speaker 9 (20:28):
They're bald from the eyebrows down.

Speaker 15 (20:30):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Nothing not a stitch.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
It's like lasers.

Speaker 3 (20:32):
Wow, New worlds.

Speaker 15 (20:34):
See.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
I've never been a fan of the bush to get.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
It's a legendary scene. Uh yeah.

Speaker 4 (20:38):
He had a span I think from nineteen eighty five
to eighty nine. All those movies you just named, they're
like the most quoted movies of all time.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
Wow, when Harry met Sally. Yeah, yeah, iconic movies.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
It's a legend. And All in the Family I think
is the biggest sitcom of all time. Yeah to this
g Archie. Yeah, so yeah, another tragedy. And how about
John Cena. He had his final match with the WWE
and DC over the weekend and by the way, lost
to a gunther and a kindness influencer. Sam Weedenhoffer was

(21:14):
at our jingle Ball last night and he was there
at the John Cena fight helping a young boy achieve
a dream.

Speaker 11 (21:22):
We took a Canaria, a three time survivor call Benji
just last night and he was able to meet John
Cena and you know he John Cena just stood behind
him and he's like, where'd you come from? And John
Cena's like, well, that's the thing. You can't see me.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
Yeah, imagine. He was in DC for John Cena's final match.
Then he flew to jingle Ball and granted a wish
for a little girl for Zara Larson at jingle Ball.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
And speaking of fulfilling dreams, Harry Styles sent a touching
video to a young fan going through a tough time.
I shouldn't he I'm Harry. I hope you did really well.

Speaker 8 (21:58):
Just wanted to say hi, had you gone through a
bit of a tough time, So saying us a love
to you and absolutely sat bait.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
And more moments from backstage to Drinkerboar and Miles Smith
and d Year and their bodies. They hung out together
backstage most of the night. Miles talked to me about
their friendship.

Speaker 8 (22:14):
I've known ed the best part of the last eighteen months.
I would say, we went to a football game. We
watched Arsenal, which is my team of USIP Switch, And yeah,
we sat and watched the game. We won, of course,
and became friends ever ever soon after probably as I'm
sure you guys will know, he's the most normal person
in this world. So it's just like having another best friend,
you know. It's like for someone who does so much

(22:37):
and has such an exceptional career, he's the most grounded
and normal human.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
Yeah. Miles did a pop up at the Dublin Or
in Boston in the afternoon yesterday. Meantime, Olivia Dean had
the crowd on their feet jumping to man, I need
I after about the story behind the song.

Speaker 9 (22:51):
The story was, we were in the studio and I
knew that I wanted to make something fun and full
of joy, and that if it came on, you just
immediately had to dance to it something that I could
tour and just have fun with. And I think kind
of started with the drum groove a shuffle we love
a shuffle nah, And then we had the chords on
the whirlie and I'm playing on the track and it.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
Just kind of fell out.

Speaker 9 (23:15):
It was one of those songs that was just born
out of joy, and I think that that's what can
be heard in it, you know. And I could have
never have imagined how much that song has changed my life.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
And I love singing it every time.

Speaker 14 (23:27):
Still.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
We had a lot of fun with all the artists backstage.

Speaker 6 (23:30):
She's right there every time that song comes on, and
you just have a smile on your face when you're singing.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
I'm a little.

Speaker 17 (23:36):
Tired and I'm a little horse. From the concert last night,
I had a fabulous time, and I watched so have
some of the videos. I loved watching Billy give out
the puppies. That was so cute, and I was wondering,
did any of the stars like give the puppy back, saying,
get this puppy off my dress, have a great day everyone.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Whoah, Yeah, We're pretty sure Zara Larson may have taken
a pup that was a moment she wouldn't give it up.
But speaking of Ed Sharon, we've got a caller twenty
five on the phone right now. Need to is that you?

Speaker 5 (24:10):
Yes, this is me and my son a Cosh.

Speaker 3 (24:14):
You and who her son of Cosh? Oh gosh, what's up? Well?
There you go.

Speaker 13 (24:19):
Hi, Hey guys, So do you know what the keyword is?
Happy puppies is the keyword? Thanks to Chruie Claus. So
you guys now have tickets to Ed Shearon. But there's
a grand prize they qualify for.

Speaker 14 (24:36):
Right.

Speaker 6 (24:36):
Yeah, it's a signed a vinyl from Ed Sharon, which
is very cool because you could play it, you could
actually frame it.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
So there you go. So hold on and you'll talk
to producer Ronie. But you are the very first winners
of the Ed Shearon Giveaway.

Speaker 9 (24:49):
That's Mary Christmas, Marry Christopher, Thanks Ed Yea, marry chrisper.

Speaker 4 (24:57):
Okayed, We're brought to you by Wilson. I'm in Lexington,
the only place to go for all your holiday shopping needs.
While the family and your friends were They're gonna gift baskets,
stunning floral arrangements and fresh, delicious meats and sides.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
So let Wilson Farm. Help me make this year the
most festive ever. Go to Wilsonfarm dot com and there
you go. Hey, busting, this is ed Scheron. Thanks for
that report, Billy. Can we get a fact check it
on this guy? Please?

Speaker 1 (25:24):
I love Billion Lisa kiss One.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
Wait, hey guys one, are those difficult mornings on the
Billion Lise In Morning Show. We try to be funny,
We try to be entertaining in the morning. We try
to provide you and escape because mornings are tough. You know,
you're trying to get the kids ready, go places, do things.
You're trying to get ready for workhead off and do
the job for the day. So we just try to
keep it light as much as we possibly can. But
every so often, just a horrific tragedy pops up and

(25:53):
enters your life. And in this case it's a Brown
University and the shootings on campus over the weekend. Lisa
Dunnovan has a definite connection to the tragedy. Your son,
Max Leics goes to Brown University. He's a freshman and
one of his friends was shot a couple of times.

Speaker 6 (26:12):
Yeah, I mean it's a very welcoming community, loving community,
and the fact that this has happened is so tragic,
and there were still we still don't know much. They
overnight left the guy in question, they let him out.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
They felt like it wasn't the right person.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
Yeah, they thought they had the guy and it turns
out they did right.

Speaker 6 (26:35):
So that is still an ongoing investigation which is making
people very nervous.

Speaker 3 (26:40):
Yeah, so they're starting from scratch if you're just waking up. Yeah,
the person of interest is now released and they're searching
for the gunman still on the loose. Two people killed.
And you talk about a tough morning too. It's not
just that.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
I mean on the news this morning, it's it's the
Brown shooting, it's the Australia shooting. Yes, it's Rob Reiner's
just over and over. Just a really, really hard morning.

Speaker 3 (27:03):
So you know, we still try to keep it light,
but we don't for a second want our listeners to
think we don't have them in our hearts and our
prayers are with the victims at Brown University as well
as so many victims at Bondai Beach in Australia, right
in the middle of a Hanukkah festival. Just a horrible
situation and if you're just waking up. Yeah, well known

(27:25):
Hollywood producer, director, actor Rob Reiner and his wife found
dead in their home and that investigation is ongoing. So
we'll try to keep it light while still keeping you
updated on everything that's going on in the world. And
speaking of keeping it light, the holidays are here. We
had our jingle ball last night, so we were up

(27:46):
late and up early, and we start talking about the
holidays and the stress that goes along with the holidays
and who to get what.

Speaker 4 (27:54):
Well, it's crunch time, right, Yeah, one week, a little
over a week.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
I haven't done any holiday shopping at all.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
Nothing, nothing that's not like you.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
I've had a lot going on.

Speaker 13 (28:05):
No, no, I'm starting And that's why I firmly believe
cash is.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
King when it comes to the holidays.

Speaker 6 (28:15):
Well there three and five people agree with you, Billy,
that they want cold, hard cash, so much so that
gen Z and millennials want you just to send them.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
Cash through zell or Venmo. They don't even want it
like a card.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
They don't even want a car to touch the money.
I don't agree with that. I know that's very in
person by Venmo. Card I can I can just Venmo.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
Produce I think she'd be totally fine with that.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
By the way, feel free to call us or send
us a talk back. You can call it six one
seven nine. When I give cash, typically I will also
give a card with a note or something. But with
me the cash thing, it's like, it's a win win
for both sides. It's a win for the person receiving
the gift because now you're not getting a gift that
you're going to throw in a drawer or in a

(29:01):
closet somewhere, right.

Speaker 6 (29:02):
It gives you the freedom to buy what you want.
But the other side of the coin is that a
lot of people don't want to give cash because they
do want to spend some time thinking about the person
and getting them something that they think they would like.
But the problem is is that when that happens, sometimes
you know, it's like a really, it's not a good gift.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
See, there's a reason returns are such a big thing.
The day after Christmas, everybody's in line at customer service
returning the thing they got.

Speaker 4 (29:30):
Well, that's why you give a gift for seat, Yes,
so they can return. Yeah, the mall's a pack the
day after Christmas?

Speaker 3 (29:35):
Yeah, everybody, Yeah, I mean cash crash is great.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
I love it, but I also do see, you know,
getting something something practical for someone that they're going to
use or that means something to that person.

Speaker 3 (29:47):
Okay, so do you want me to get your socks
in underwear and I'll take cash? Okay, thank you for that.
See what I mean, cash is king. But what am
I going to get my wife cash?

Speaker 1 (29:57):
Well, Billy gets his gifts his wife.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
Cash wife cat. He stacks him.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
Right next to the bedside table.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
Yeah, well, no, I get her. No, I get her
a handful of gifts. But then one of them is
walking around money. That's my trademark. Give your wife walking
around Okay.

Speaker 4 (30:15):
Yeah, but she appreciates it, right, Yeah, Like, for instance,
for her birthday early next year.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
You know we're going on a trip, so one of
the gifts will be like an envelope for some walking
around money on the trip. You really are like Robertson arraw.
She takes it with a smile.

Speaker 4 (30:33):
We talk a lot about your wife and that we
love her, but she can be a little frugal. So
does she ever complain like, no, this is too much?

Speaker 3 (30:40):
Don't interesting you say that? Because she is very careful
and very frugal, but she never complains about the money.

Speaker 4 (30:47):
No, never never says, oh this is too much, you know.
You know what, Wow one year, don't give her the
envelope and see if she says anything. Where's my walking
around money?

Speaker 3 (30:59):
I put it to the tests.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
A question this morning is cash king for the holidays?

Speaker 7 (31:05):
Now it's topic time with Billy and Lisa in the morning,
so we're having.

Speaker 3 (31:11):
This conversation a couple of minutes ago. I'm big on
cash for the holidays, Like I don't want to get cash.
But to me, you know, I see even my wife,
anything I get her she returns.

Speaker 6 (31:21):
You know, it's hard to buy gifts for people. But yeah,
you're big on little walking around money.

Speaker 3 (31:26):
Now you give the money and then they can pick
out whatever they want and enjoy it. You know what
I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (31:30):
And three out of five people right now agree with you.
They like cold, hard cash. Well, let's ask Violet and
Nise Bridgewater. She's on the phone right now. Good morning, Violet,
good morning. So what do you think cash or not?

Speaker 5 (31:44):
Absolutely? Cash? I think the way with the economy is
right now that there's no one that doesn't need cash
and you can spend anything you can pay bills, you
can buy food, and of course you can buy gifts too.

Speaker 14 (31:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
No matter who you are, cash works, right, I mean
you might have you behind in your bills. Hey, I
got cash. I can pay this bill. Now, I can
put some food on the table and instead of some
like ugly sweater that's never going to fit, right, you know.
It's yeah, good one, Violet. How things in Bridgewater?

Speaker 2 (32:15):
Okay, it's good.

Speaker 5 (32:17):
It's nice and snowy and icy here. And I'm actually
on my way to work. I work at Rockland Trust
over in Hull. Oh I'm in Weymouth.

Speaker 6 (32:26):
Now.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
Yeah, you got a good interest rate over there right now?

Speaker 2 (32:29):
Oh yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 5 (32:31):
We got good CDs and money market.

Speaker 3 (32:34):
All right, violence, thank you. Let's go to Raquel Is
in Canton. Good morning, Raquel.

Speaker 18 (32:42):
Good morning guys. Happy holidays, Happy holidays. So I think
I am one of the ones that's on the other
side of the spectrum. I personally think a gift around
the Christmas it's a time to show the people you
love that you're putting thought behind it, that you're going
out and speaking the next form mile to get them
something super thoughtful or a gift of an experience or

(33:05):
something to build those memories. So for me, I'm like, listen,
go that extra mile and get them a gift, even
if they return it. I think it's just the thought
that goes behind it. And I'm super old school like that.
And for me, I'm like, I work, I get my
own things that I need, but when someone else gets
it for me and I get to look at that
gift that they get, I always remember, oh they got me.

(33:26):
Its got me some gift, this gift at this time,
and it's super special. So for me, I think the
old school traditional getting a gift is the way to go.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
Yeah, but Riquel, let's face it, you're getting them the
gift you think they want and most of the time
not so much.

Speaker 6 (33:42):
But I think a good gift giver is someone over
the course of the year, will you know, write down
something if someone says something in a conversation, Oh I
wish I had that, or that's where the thought comes
in and that's where it becomes like a nice thing, like, oh,
they were actually listening to me.

Speaker 11 (33:58):
Well.

Speaker 3 (33:58):
The downside of cash, okay, is that if everybody's giving cash,
you're just exchanging cash with everybody. Right, here's your gift, Oh,
here's your.

Speaker 4 (34:08):
Oh wait a minute, I gave you more than you
gave me, so I started doing that taking notes. This
is the first year I've taken multiple notes for people.
I did take a note on Billy, but I don't
remember what this was. I didn't get you this, Billy,
but at least maybe you remember. It was sometime during
the show this year. I have it written down. Body
deodorant for Billy. What. Yeah, we talked about it, I

(34:30):
suggesting I smell. No, I have a vague memory. We
talked about some kind of deodorant, not just for your armpits,
maybe for your entire body.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
It was in the news one morning where there's a
deodorant for.

Speaker 4 (34:42):
Your privates and yes, and you wanted it, so I
have it on my list. Maybe I will do.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
That's like a quirky gift.

Speaker 3 (34:47):
Well, you wanted to be a happy post there.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
That's you know, every year pens because it is a
different pen.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
That's what I mean. I've got enough pens. Yeah, I still.
You got me a box of like three hundred tens.
This is an empty pen thing in my stee just
came in my office. They're overflowing and by the way
open the cabinet and two boxes that you got me.
So it's two straight years now, I've got about one
hundred and.

Speaker 4 (35:13):
Fifty pence all right, At least I got to return
these pens.

Speaker 11 (35:17):
Hi, Tanya.

Speaker 15 (35:19):
I love walking around money. My fiance we're getting married
in June, also calls it walking around money, and sometimes
she gives me that as a gift and I.

Speaker 18 (35:29):
Have no problem with it.

Speaker 15 (35:31):
I expect it for Christmas and I love it because
I spend it on things that I have a hard
time buying for myself, you know, like if I want
to get my nails done or buy myself a new outfit.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
Sure, I think it's great.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Now you get exactly what you want. Another downside of cash,
but I'm still a fan of cash. Cash is king
is like you forget what you gave someone for cash
the previous year, So if you mistakenly give them less
the following year, they're thinking, what, I'm not as important
in your life anymore? Did that to me last year?
It's fine?

Speaker 10 (36:01):
What?

Speaker 4 (36:01):
No, it's fine, I don't I don't care. I did
you gave me less than the previous year. Don't blame
you for that. You'll probably don't remember and I'm grateful
for anything you give me.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
It could be even less this year. I know, I
expect a hard time. I understand. You know, it's a
tough economy.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
In this economy, you're lucky to get anything. So any present,
cash or otherwise is amazing. Just be thankful and grateful
for that.

Speaker 3 (36:24):
Merry Christmas. Thanks.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
He's right about that.

Speaker 6 (36:27):
Just be thankful and grateful that you have people in
your life that give you gifts.

Speaker 3 (36:31):
Correct. Yeah, I'm grateful for your friendship Bill, not Bill.

Speaker 4 (36:34):
But you're not really Yes, I do what I mean,
this is what happens at the holidays.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
You're not grateful. You just want what you want.

Speaker 4 (36:41):
No, no, no, no grateful being grinchy.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Remember I got you.

Speaker 6 (36:47):
Like monogram stationary one year and I stn't have mono towels.

Speaker 3 (36:51):
Now what does that mean that I still have three years?

Speaker 6 (36:54):
Not because well you don't write personal notes that much,
but when you do, you have it.

Speaker 3 (36:58):
I actually used yourtionary like two days ago, so yeah,
I do use it and I appreciate every time I
see it. So, by the way, that's a good gift.
Idea monogram the stationary. Let's go to Kristin, who's in
the Easton. Hey Kristin, Hey, good morning, Hey Kristin. Let
me ask you something about Easton. I always feel like,
once you get off the Highway, Easton doesn't exist, Like
is it all Highway Eastern?

Speaker 2 (37:21):
No? No, So if you get off twenty four, you're
like you know in brock Day, if you get off
one nine five year any in and then you get
to you know, just come over to Easton. But no,
we're We're in our cute little bubble and most people
prefers to keep it that.

Speaker 3 (37:34):
Do you actually have neighborhoods?

Speaker 2 (37:37):
Yes? Yes, Actually we don't know if it's true or not.
But supposedly a very high profile singer songwriters moving to
my neighborhood and she's gating a member of she's the Patriots,
so we can.

Speaker 6 (37:53):
All moving whoa WHOA hold on post the post.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
Supposedly that's the rumor. There's been a lot of digging
on this to see if it's sure or not.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
Okay, hold on all of a sudden, I don't even
care about cash. You's kidding.

Speaker 4 (38:08):
You're giving us an exclusive story CARDI B is thinking
of moving to Easton, Massachusetts.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
Yes, and in my neighborhood, which is even crazier because
when we bought it a few years ago, we bought
it because it was a very quiet family neighborhood.

Speaker 3 (38:22):
Not for long. Yeah no, And.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
I'm like, O, please don't. Although the house is beautiful,
so I can completely understand if this is true, why
she would buy it.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
So, Kristin, here's the deal. You're our person to Cardi.
B Okay, here's the deal. She's moving into the neighborhood.
You have to make a pie and bring it to her.
Welcome it. Yeah, welcome her to the neighborhood.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
Well, I heard it.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
I will. I will go over with a basket and
at like, you know, one of those cameras that just
hide in the basket.

Speaker 3 (38:49):
Yeah, Kristin, I'm not even kidding. You got to bring
the pie and then call in and tell us how
it went. I will do that. Tell'stackie in the house
or what.

Speaker 5 (39:00):
Beautiful?

Speaker 2 (39:00):
The house is beautiful when she gets it remodeled it.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
Wow, I can't believe this. This is this is breaking news.
Oh yeah, at least don't you have a real estate story?

Speaker 6 (39:11):
Well, I can't mention the other Patriots person who might
be moving up the street from me.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
Oh, you have t two on this.

Speaker 1 (39:19):
Yes, I can't five houses away. Okay, oh yeah, somebody
very famous.

Speaker 3 (39:23):
All right, well, Kristin keep us updated on this please, yeah,
I will.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
I mean again, it's all Rumorab'll see what happens. But
with how this house is on lockdown and yeah whatever
you could, you could totally see it and she'd get
some pride, they'd get some privacy or whatever.

Speaker 1 (39:39):
But we do have we have neighborhoods.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
We do have beautiful neighborhoods here in town, and it's
a great community, and our school systems are good, and
we have one of the best music programs in the state.
I'm just going to get a plug through Eastern Music
right here.

Speaker 3 (39:52):
There you go. You know they're going to fill up
the neighborhood. Stephan's got about thirty seven children.

Speaker 4 (39:56):
Oh yeah, and Cardi B has many children as well. Kristen, look,
you love this. Bill started this conversation with kind of
poking fun at Easton. Now we're all in on the
Oh yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
Want to move to you know what, don'tkno friends

Speaker 3 (40:11):
Good job, krist Thank you, Kristen, Bye bye.
