Joe Gatto talks about rescuing his dogs and more with Billy Costa at Kiss 108’s Jingle Ball Presented by Capital One in Boston.

this is what I love about jingle Ball. This is
what I love about kiss concert. You never know who
you're going to run into. Joe got them, that's it going, Buddy,
good to see you. This is not your first read.

Burnio no no. I crashed plenty of these.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
So you crashed Chicago, Chicago, Detroit, New York.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Here.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Now while you were there, did you prank anybody?

Speaker 2 (00:19):
I was off dutey. Everybody safe?

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Okay, But you do that often in real life? Like
do you have friends that you prank all the time.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
I think people are more scared that they're getting frank
from me. You know, pop are very cautious around me.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Uh and practical jokesters are just an amazing show. And
I know you left, and why not look at you
now you're going to all kinds of jingle Ball.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
That's okay.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
I think you made the right decision.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
You know, I don't disagree.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
But I love this about you because my wife and
I are huge dog fans. You know, we've adopted or
rescued several dogs. We currently have a beautiful dog, High Titus.
And you're really into this you're doing a lot for
that for that field.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
We have a foundation in New York, Ghatto Pups and Friends.
It's a nonprofit that rescue senior dogs out on Long Island.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
And I've got a bunch of.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Old, little decrepit dogs that we love and just give
them some loving and try to place And we actually
just adopted out our one hundred and thirty fifth dog yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
I'm sorry, Yeah, we know, we didn't adopt ourselves.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
We have all Okay, how hell big is your out?
I have twelve one hundred You have twelve dogs in
your home in my home for you, high fives on that.
How did you get.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Involved with that? My wife, she's amazed.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
She loved like rescuing animals, and then she started just
collecting all these old, little decrepit dogs. I was like,
we could probably do better if we try to find home.
So we start our nonprofits.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
So when you have that many dogs, how do you
know who's going out to pee? And who is it
who pooped?

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Most of the most of them are old and we're diapers,
so that works. Yeah, but they follow the.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Past and before you know it will be wearing person.
We'll all get along training well everybody does. Okay, so
you're coming to Boston and you've got a show.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
When is it?

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Where is it?

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Wilbur on the twenty fifth of April.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Yeah, I'm just I just announced I added a second
show because the first one sold out.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
I love Boston, they always come out. So where are you?
Originally from New York? What part of New York? On
Staten Island? And now I live out on Long Island.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
So how's the tour going?

Speaker 3 (02:03):
It's great. Yeah, it's great to start. This is my
second tour. Now it's cool that let's get into a
tour and it's been so much fun.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
I love stand up. I love to make an event
for people to come out and laugh.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Well, you know what, Joe, I think tonight I'll due
respect on the tour and impractical jokes, but I think
tonight you're joining me and Lisa Dunnavan on stage. You're
a jingle ball tonight.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Well that's why I'm here. I finally made it. Is
that going to be your biggest crowd?

Speaker 1 (02:22):
It is all right here we're claiming it as your
biggest crowd. Joe, good to see you, Joe, gotta hanging
