and the keyword is feast. Feast is the keyword. And
while we wait for college twenty five, this is cool.
My childhood best friend Dookie, who we talk about a lot,
is Uh is in studio with us. Good to see you, buddy.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
How are you good? Bill?

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Now, you're the one that roped me into the no.
I mean you're the one that was kind enough to
invite me to be a part of the feast in
our childhood neighborhood which kicks off tonight.

Speaker 5 (00:53):
Yes, and you've always been pot all your years, grew
up together.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
Well, yeah, this will be a feast.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Would come down the street, be over at your house
having some of your mother's meatballs or something and then
all of a sudden the feast and the little marching
band come by. But now the feast has become a
huge thing, right because tonight I'm hosting and kicking off
the feast and introducing a glory Gainor when did the

(01:18):
Feast of Cosmo and Demion and Cambridge become this big event?
Because Joey McIntyre is performing, one of the guys from
and singh When did it become all this Well.

Speaker 5 (01:29):
I think after the seventy fifth they started to expand,
and prior to that it was only two nights. Then
they were to three, and I'll to celebrate the hundredth year,
they're going for four.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Wow, that's amazing, like end action.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Oh yeah, it actually is almost getting as large as
in the North End now when I get to East
Cambridge tonight to introduce that. Gloria Gainer, could you check,
because I know your wife Sandra worked for years and
years in the Mayor's office as the assistant to the mayor,
could you check in advance if there are any outstanding
warrants that are gonna be you.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
Mean, the shoe box full of do not Seize this
vehicle organizations you can.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Have to park my car somewhere, and I don't want
to come back and find the car on blocks.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
I think you're gonna be walking.

Speaker 6 (02:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Question is this a free event so people can just
wander in.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
And just like the Northern Fast wander in. Wow, and
there's the whole lineup, all the information. You can go
to Cosmus in Damien or how do you what's the
other way to say? Its Cosmo and Damien and Damien
dot org nice.

Speaker 7 (02:39):
I feel like Billy should say Demiana different way to.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Italian, the feast of Cosmo and Demian. I'm just nam
it's Damon.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Probably Donnie. So it starts tonight. What time does all
the festivities get underway.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
They'll take the Saints out out of the chapel which
is right around the corner from Warren Street, probably around
six thirties around the block.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
And now it's all about the Saints.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
And it's rare that you go to a feast where
two saints are being celebrated.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
Yes, I dig this here. A couple of weeks ago
we were invited for the first time, uh probably in
one hundred years to the North End Fisherman's Feast, Fisherman's East.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
We were invited.

Speaker 5 (03:29):
Well, this whole society and we brought our saints there.
You're in the society. I was just inducted. What I
had a meeting like the.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Donkey Albano from Jefferson Street and East Cambridge is in
a society.

Speaker 5 (03:43):
I had to pull out a pacino, I said, just
when I thought I was out.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Ay, Now why.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
My daughter Mary is fourth generation to belong to this
action and she's in the society.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
You have since you have to wear something like a
special outfit.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Or well, I'm gonna wear a vest.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
Oh that's the luck.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Yeah, okay, I will elaborate a little bit more. Because
Joey McIntyre from The New Kids is Saturday night. He
called me earlier this week. Hey, I'm coming to your neighborhood.
Let's talk about it. So he's calling into this show
right after nine o'clock.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
That's super cool. Yeah. Going back home absolutely, and the
house is still there, ten minutes away from where you live. Now,
let's go to Kristen. Hey, Kristin, you call it twenty five.

Speaker 8 (04:40):
Hi, thank you so much.

Speaker 6 (04:42):
I'm so excited.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Oh my god, Da puts on such a big show.
She's incredible on stage.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
So many hits.

Speaker 8 (04:49):
I can't wait.

Speaker 7 (04:49):
This is awesome thing.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Let's not jump the gun and get ahead of yourself.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Okay, I need a keyword here. It was yeah fast,
you know what, Come on out to the feast tonight
or all weekend in these Cambridge. Hold on and producer
Riley will give you all the information. Congratulations, do a leap.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
Yeah, we'll have more dual leap the tickets coming up
with McCabe at twelve ten, and don't forget starting Monday.
At this time, the secret sound returns thousands of dollars
up for grabs. Lisa.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
All right, so there's a lot going on this morning. Obviously,
back to school. Everybody's frantically trying to get the kids
off to school. City of Boston is back to school
all week longs city. Why isn't it just one day?
School starts in all towns the same day.

Speaker 7 (05:31):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
I'm so confusing. And it used to be before Labor Day,
no one ever went back to school. Used to be
after Labor Day. Yes, now it's before they go for
a couple of days after three day weekend then come back.
It's so confused.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
I want to meet the actual person that invented the
idea of having them come back for one day and
then Labor Day weekend.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
They get something to do with the snowstorms and school
cant aliens.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
They have to have a certain number of days in class.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
The other big story obviously Powerball.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Now the next jackpot is one point seven billion dollars.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Wrould be the third highest in US history.

Speaker 9 (06:05):
But Lisa, can you bring down the numbers for us,
because you're doing it for me earlier.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Okay, so this morning they were talking about it on
Channel four. You would if it's one point seven billion,
you would take home seven one hundred and seventy million. Okay,
So that's what the lottery will take out, that is
before more personal taxes are then taken out.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
That's your tax is just the lottery.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Yeah, so then then you get taxes taken out.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Oh my god, what is the state takeout?

Speaker 3 (06:33):
It depends on what you're what state you're in, what
state you're in, So.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
You could end up with one point seven you could
end up with like three hundred and fifty million.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Yeall was said and done. Basically, Well, I think if
you win a million dollars in the lottery or a
scratch ticket, in Massachusetts, you walk away with about four fifty. Oh,
I thought it was about half. Yeah, it's a very
expensive state. Yeah, I know it's on that one a million.

Speaker 9 (06:56):
And they did the payout over twenty, so they got
thirty five yeah times twenty, so I don't I think
that's six hundred.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
Oh yeah, that's how I take the lump sum.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
If the odds right now are one in two hundred
and ninety two million.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
Wow. If you don't play, don't win though you got
it and.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Someone Oh and I have to say, someone always wins.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
Someone always wins. And you know, if you are a
big winner, just be smart with the money.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
I've got an incredible streak going with Powerball and with
Mega millions. I buy ten or twenty quick picks for
every single lottery right, and I never get a single digit, like,
not even one number.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
And that's my streak.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Well, eleven tickets were sold for the million dollar prize.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
Oh, one was sold in Reville. Yeah really, yep, right
down the street.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
I'll take that.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
I'd take a million, oh god, yeah, yeah, that'd be good.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
I would take one hundred dollars yea, yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
I'm curious.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Let's say you hit the one point seven billion this
Saturday night. What's the first thing you do?

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Well, I would come into work. I know you said
you would not come into work. I would one hundred
percent come into work because you have to pretend like
you didn't win, so you.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
Have to you wouldn't tell us.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
I would tell you guys, well, I don't know if
I would tell Bill, Bill tell.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
This is such a leaguer. I would probably tell the
rest of you no.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
But you have to like maintain your regular lifestyle because
I have this theory, like, until you see that money
hit your bank account, it is not yours. Right, So
you got to get the ticket. You got to go
to the lottery, You got to hire a lawyer, you
got to get your accountant, you got to get all
the ducks in a row. They got to certify it.
And then you get your money. And then you give

(08:41):
your notice.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Yeah, oh, you're going to give a notice to thing
to do the right thing to do. I'm honorable.

Speaker 7 (08:48):
If you got two weeks left to work forever, who cares?

Speaker 4 (08:51):
I want to go on record.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
You know, if I win Saturday night, within one hour,
I will have hired a private jet. Right just fly somewhere.
I wouldn't say anything to anyone.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
I'd call you guys. Yeah, you tell us, I'm so jealous.
And he's got a big not to know.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
I'm jealous of you.

Speaker 7 (09:11):
That the fact that without getting the.

Speaker 9 (09:13):
Money yet, you can already have the funds to hire
a private jet like most of us couldn't afford.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
A private one account. On account that you're coming into
one seven billion.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
I have to say, you know, what would happen to Billy.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
There would be some glitch with the ticket, and after
he's on his island and having paid for the private jet,
he finds out he.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Never got the money, with a house on the private
island and the private jet, and I still.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Need a ride back then, and then you'll show back
up to work. I've already been replaced Bill.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Now the entertainment update with a Billy constas again.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
We have to remind everybody the Secret Sound is coming
back next Monday morning at seven to ten. Will do
it twice every morning, seven ten and eight ten. People
love Secret Sound. People get crazy about Secret Sound. At times,
they get angry. It's just one of those things.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Everyone can get involved, classrooms, offices, everyone, they love this game.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
And we know we've got a lot of new people listening.
With school back in session this week, Boston School is
open again this morning, so just mark it down seven
to ten. Next Monday morning we kick off the Secret Sound.
You can play as a family.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Uh huh is it a windshoe wiper?

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Maybe you can play on your way to school.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Absolutely, it's so much fun to play because everyone has
an idea of what they think the sound is.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
Yeah, and had a lot of money up for grabs
this time it's bigger and better.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
So people that don't know, we start with a jackpot, right,
and then every time somebody has an incorrect guess, it
keeps growing and getting getting bigger and bigger and bigger
into the thousands of dollars. So make sure you are
here and listening and playing along ten Monday morning.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Meantime, Lady Gaga last night canceled her show in Miami
literally minutes before the show was about to begin.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
Fans were already there, so just about to walk into
the Cassea Center for.

Speaker 10 (11:11):
The Lady Gaga concert in night three and guess what,
we're literally right here.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
And they canceled the concert. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
You have to imagine a lot of people fly from
some other part of the country to the Gaga show.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
They're already there, and then she posted on Instagram that
she was so so sorry that she needed to postpone
it because her doctor and her vocal coach have advised
me not to go on because of the risk it poses.
So she's trying to reschedule the show as soon as possible.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
What do you do? Leave the arena, leave the stadium
and just go to a local bar.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
It's not really.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
There was an eighty year old guy arrested at the
Benson Boone show right here in Boston the TD Garden
of the other night, justin what was actually going on there?

Speaker 4 (11:59):
So at first the guy was watching the show and
he was yelling at these young girls behind him for
cheering too loud for Benson Boone. Idiot. Then he pulls
out his phone and allegedly opened the Grinder app, which
is the gay cruising app, and had a d pick
up on his phone that the young girl saw. They
reported him and he got arrested. Didn't he threaten to

(12:20):
kill one of them or something? Yeah, he was saying
I'll kill you. I mean, this guy's just completely changed. Yeah,
I got a question for this, Sadi. How you doing though, Yeah, okay,
I'll have fun registering as a sex offender for the
rest of your life. Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 7 (12:33):
At least he'll be a short.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
Is that a positive?

Speaker 7 (12:39):
I know, I'm just saying the rest of what two years?
Three years?

Speaker 4 (12:43):
Wow? Yeah, he's never go to Benson have fun to do?
Grind her at home? What's more fun than a Benson
Boone show? You know what I mean? Grinder for this guy.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Sabrina Carpenter's new album Man Best Friend, breaking Spotify records
this week most streams in a single day for an
album by a female artist, and she was on with
Zane Load this week talking about the new album and
says heartbreak.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
Was at the core.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
The album came out just months after her breakup with
Barry Keyogan.

Speaker 11 (13:18):
I think I came out of a sad situation a
lot less bitter than I intended or expected to, with
like a little bit more of the like you know what,
there's there's two people involved, it's not and this is
part of like growing up.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
I liked her attitude.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
It's okay, I'm hearing that she really liked him.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
I thought maybe she didn't.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Really like him that much, And now it's like, oh,
maybe she did really like him.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
Yeah, it takes two.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
Speaking of relationships, so Travis Kelcey has this advice for
anyone planning to propose.

Speaker 12 (13:58):
You got to know your gal or your significant other.
You got to know them, and it's got to You
can't let how somebody else does it make you feel
like you need to do it. That way, you might
be able to get some ideas from how other people
did it. I would just say, you know your partner,
know who you're doing it for, and do it for
the right reasons.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
Baby, everything else would be be beautiful. Don't make it
a competition. He's so cute that he's so inclusive.

Speaker 7 (14:23):
He'say significant other and partner.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
Yeah, I say, I gotta tell you.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
I've said it before and I'm just gonna say it again.
I'm surprised by how well this relationship is going. I mean,
I really am. This looks like the real do.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
She found her guy and he found his girl.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
There you go, that's well that's from somebody bell who
didn't believe it was real.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
Well, he bet against them.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Yeah, I thought it was an NFL scam, like a
scam involving the NFL and the record labels.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
Hey, I've got an idea.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
Two of the hottest people in the world right now,
Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
Let's get them together and put them out on tour together.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
I have to tell you they look good to other.
From day one, I was like, no, this is real.

Speaker 7 (15:03):
It makes sense, and they do.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
They look good.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
Teddy Swims on with Kelly Clarkson this week. She's got
that show songs and stories, and they covered this is
very cool. They covered Michael Jackson's Rock with You. They
hit a few of the notes.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
Oh, I think that sounded amazing.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
I love that great.

Speaker 9 (15:23):
I kind of Teddy Swims started off very softly and
I kind of wish the whole song was like.

Speaker 7 (15:28):
It was very I mean, I liked it, but.

Speaker 4 (15:31):
Their timing was slightly Oh, come on, I'm sorry. Gloria Gainer.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
Right, it's my girl blow again on stage with me tonight,
East Cambridge The Feast.

Speaker 4 (15:52):
By the way, Kelly.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Kelly's daytime show is coming back September twenty ninth, Yes,
and she will be there.

Speaker 7 (16:04):
Do you think she'll address anything about her ex husband.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
I think I think she absolutely will.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Yeah, she's that kind of a pride like Kelly Clarkson
always has. Latest reports are saying Harry Styles and Zoe
Kravitz are just friends with benefits.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
Yeah, they're just having fun, all right.

Speaker 7 (16:21):
Definitely a good package to me.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
That's a high level.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
That's a good level front right.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
Yeah, traveling the world, you know with friends like here, you.

Speaker 9 (16:32):
Don't really need any other friend, Like, wow, only friend
I would need if you saw that movie?

Speaker 4 (16:37):
What was it?

Speaker 7 (16:38):
Don't worry?

Speaker 3 (16:39):
Worried?

Speaker 4 (16:39):
Yeah, he's really all you need.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
A lot going on in sports, NFL season opener tonight,
Eagles and the Cowboys. Patriots, by the way, have their
opener Sunday one o'clock kickoff in Foxborough, Paths and the Raiders.
Stefan Diggs in town meeting with the media yesterday, ready to.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Go, super excited.

Speaker 10 (16:55):
Has been going on like ten months, you know, and
obviously coming back from injury isn't easy, but going out
there mixing it up. I'm in a good spot. I'm
appreciating where I'm at right now, like you get back
to doing what you love.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
I'm around some good individuals. It's fun, it's it's new.

Speaker 10 (17:10):
It's obviously going to be an adjustment, but you know,
we're trying to get this show on the road. We're
trying to start. I want to know you know what
I'm saying. So for me, I'm just thankful to be
where I'm at right now, back playing football.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Now, justin you and I watched a good chunk of
the press conference with Stefan Gags. I didn't digs. I
didn't see anybody ask about Cardi B.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
I don't, no, no, Well, he started off weird. There
was a weird moment in the beginning when he addressed
the media and basically said that, you know, he doesn't
want to be the villain. He didn't talk a lot
during camp. Were some things the media said, took some
of his words out of context, called him a pain
in the ass, And actually I didn't mind what he said.
He either, you know, I want to have a good
relationship with the media. But no, I did not hear

(17:50):
Cardi B question. Okay.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Roger Goodell asked point blank on The Today Show, will
Taylor Swift do the halftime special?

Speaker 4 (17:58):
After loved that Taylor play. She is a special, special
talent and obviously she would be welcoming anytime.

Speaker 3 (18:07):
Is it in the works.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
I can't tell you anything about it. I like that
she pressed him on it. Was that Savannah Guthrie, It
was Yeah, I like that she pressed him on it.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
And what he's saying is, there's a So you're telling
me there's a chance.

Speaker 7 (18:24):
Yeah, if they can't get Taylor, are you available.

Speaker 4 (18:27):
Bill.

Speaker 8 (18:33):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Red Sox lost to the Guardians eight one. The big
story Roman Anthony. The oblique injury going to keep him
out four weeks, possibly the rest of the regular season.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Here's Quorra. I told him to envision alcs first. I
bet that's what I told him. You know, just put
that goal in your mind and hopefully it happens.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
Roman Anthony was just named American League Rookie of the
Month for August.

Speaker 4 (18:57):
Yeah, they seem to be out of whack a little
bit without him is their leadoff. I think they're having
some problems with the pitching. Yeah, that's too.

Speaker 7 (19:03):
Yeah, So they're gonna make it with the wild corn.

Speaker 4 (19:06):
I think they will. It's close.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
They're still being considered odds on favorites to make it.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
Yeah, there's a chance. It's a maybe. There's a chance. Yeah,
it's a maybe.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Brought to you by the ninety nine Restaurants, Lisa, this
is one of your favorite places.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
I love the ninety nine and you gotta love.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
The ninety nine. And you know what, try the new burger?
Is it the Nines?

Speaker 1 (19:26):
Bigger boulder beefier. They're a half pound one American ang
is beef sure to please everybody in the group. Try
the new Bourbon onion Burger and you'll get more ang
for your mark. You gotta love the Nines And there
you go.

Speaker 10 (19:39):
You know, you know, you know.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
From the Planet Fitness Kiss one O eight Studios, we're
back with Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
Hey guys, so welcome back. This is so cool.

Speaker 1 (19:52):

Kids on the phone.

Speaker 13 (19:56):
Hey Joey, it's the sound of kiss Away.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Yeah, we're bringing your back, buddy.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
Oh, first of a start, we're not playing that anymore, Joey.

Speaker 6 (20:15):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Even back then we only played at Saturdays at noon.

Speaker 8 (20:21):
What was the one at Friday at five?

Speaker 4 (20:23):
Oh that was ready for the weekend?

Speaker 8 (20:26):
Bell?

Speaker 4 (20:26):
No, no, ring my bell? It was are you ready
for the weekend? Everybody is working for the weekend.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
Okay, Joey, I'm really impressed you're in Los Angeles and
you called us before we even had a chance to
call you.

Speaker 8 (20:43):
I know, well, you're good.

Speaker 14 (20:46):
You're a good man, and family is family, and you
gotta you gotta get up sometimes.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
Now, the last time we saw you, you were launching
your solo tour and the entire morning show did the
law with you at the bookstore on very Comics.

Speaker 8 (21:03):
Yeah, huh, those good times.

Speaker 14 (21:05):
Thank you, Yes, Newbury Comics, good old fashioned record signing.

Speaker 8 (21:11):
And it's been it's been a fun year. It's been
a very fun year.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
Now. How'd the solo tour go?

Speaker 8 (21:19):
Great? I did? We did House of Blues in Boston.

Speaker 14 (21:23):
I did about seventeen and April, and then I got
seven more solo dates in October on the West side
of the country.

Speaker 8 (21:30):
And yeah, I'm.

Speaker 14 (21:32):
I'm happy to you know, I'm happy with the album.
And you know, I made a commitment to support the
album on the road.

Speaker 8 (21:40):
So so far living up to that, so Joey.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
The big thing now for artists on the road is
they all seem to do covers of other people's.

Speaker 4 (21:48):
Songs, or they bring other artists out on stage with them.
If sure, if you had to do a cover of
something or someone right now, what would it be.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
Do you have a favorite song that you would do
a cover off right now on your solo tour.

Speaker 8 (22:04):
Oh, geez, put him.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
On the spot, I know.

Speaker 8 (22:08):
And maybe dead.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
Sure, if you'd rather cover someone dead, that's okay.

Speaker 8 (22:13):
You have to bring back someone.

Speaker 14 (22:14):
So, I mean, George Michael was one of the greatest
of all times.

Speaker 8 (22:19):
So something something that maybe his freedom. I wrote a
song my album is called Freedom, but yeah it's not
George Michael's Freedom.

Speaker 14 (22:26):
But yeah, I'd have to pick George Michael and almost
anything he's saying, Oh, you.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
Could do like Caroless Whisper or something. Was that George
Michael a good one.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Hey, Joey, do you think anybody's covering Please don't go girl?

Speaker 10 (22:42):
You know what?

Speaker 4 (22:44):
You know what?

Speaker 8 (22:46):
Don't laugh? Don't laugh.

Speaker 14 (22:47):
Really, that's been that's like an og kind of it's
been bubbling up. The Bruno Mars has two nephews.

Speaker 8 (22:57):
Have you seen them?

Speaker 4 (22:58):
Yeah? When he said as you.

Speaker 8 (23:01):
Looked at um, they did, Please don't go girl.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Wow, that's very cool. Hey, how is Vegas? You guys
did Vegas and you're going back right?

Speaker 8 (23:12):
Yeah, we have it's a residency, but it's like in
and out. So we we did June. We kicked it
off in June.

Speaker 14 (23:19):
It was amazing, and then we go back in November
and then February as well.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
Oh very cool.

Speaker 8 (23:25):
Yeah, three weeks at a time.

Speaker 4 (23:27):
Joey, we want to play play a little game with you.
If that's okay, Justin, you're.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
Ready for a game, go ahead. Are you familiar with
the cliff game?

Speaker 8 (23:37):
The cliff game? Yeah, if you're driving off a cliffs
or something, well.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
Something like that. I'll explain the rules. Go ahead, Okay,
I'm going to name three artists.

Speaker 8 (23:48):
Okay, oh jeez, kill throw or well we're kind.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
Of lightening it up here for the morning show.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
But one you would go on a vacation with, one
you would collaborate with, and the other you would toss.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
Off the cliff.

Speaker 8 (24:02):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
So the list of artists are ninety eight Degrees, Man,
Backstreet Boys, or n Sync.

Speaker 14 (24:15):
I go on vacation with.

Speaker 4 (24:20):
In Sync, just you and Justin? No, actually, hold on,
oh you're changing your mind. Okay.

Speaker 14 (24:32):
I go on vacation in ninety eight degrees because they
could drink you from here to next Thursday.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
All that's a plus.

Speaker 14 (24:40):
Then, and then.

Speaker 8 (24:43):
I collaborate with in Sync, and only because only because
we've already.

Speaker 14 (24:49):
Collaborated with Backstreet Boys. I'm not going to throw them
off the cliff.

Speaker 8 (24:53):
Well i am, but they have like rocket boosters on.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
Futuristic. Oh they'll be fine with the Brewster packs.

Speaker 8 (25:02):
Yeah, yeah, they'll levitate off the cliff.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
So, Joey, the main reason we have you on while
you solo tour and we just love having you on.
But so this weekend you're performing in my childhood neighborhood.

Speaker 4 (25:18):
He's Cambridge.

Speaker 8 (25:19):
That's that's wild. Now you didn't I didn't know.

Speaker 14 (25:22):
I didn't know exactly that you were right from where
the Feast.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Is literally on the same street. Well, it's a combination
of streets. It's Portland Street, it's Cambridge Street, it's Warren Street.
You know, it's East Cambridge. But here's a fun fact,
joe and it just hit me this morning. On Warren Street,
the heart of the Feast, there was a popular bar
named Joey Max.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
Really when we grew up, Yeah, the mob hung out there.

Speaker 8 (25:50):
On the mob Joey Max, an Irish bar with the
Mob and the whole thing. That's Boston. That's more Boston
than that.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Yeah, well we'll try to get Maybe there's still some
merch lying around. We'll try to get you a T shirt.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
Joey Mack I.

Speaker 14 (26:03):
I always went to the North End for the feast,
but I had never I've never been to this feast.
And here it's like one hundred years old, this society and.

Speaker 8 (26:12):
And you know, this organization and great acts and I'm
very excited. It's a free show, So come on out
everybody Saturday night.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
That's a good point. It's absolutely free. I actually kick
off the Feast tonight. Joey introducing Gloria Gainer. Careful, just In,
since Joey is another artist like myself, do you have
a clipmate of me doing Gloria for the cover?

Speaker 4 (26:45):
I think I think the Please Don't Grow Go Girl
covers better.

Speaker 8 (26:49):
Oh nice, nice pool there, nice pool, Joey.

Speaker 14 (26:54):
You're just feeding it up because young producers like to
speed everything else.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
I don't want to make a big deal about the Joey,
but the production value.

Speaker 4 (27:06):
Is on the show.

Speaker 8 (27:08):
We have to speed everything up, can get through everything.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
You're not even making that up. Every two minutes. I
got a wrap sign from either Justin or Winning.

Speaker 4 (27:18):
You gotta wrap it up, you gotta wrap it up. Well,
he thinks that I sped up his new his single
Freedom I didn't does this sound sped up? Come on,
that's a monster hit, Joey.

Speaker 8 (27:32):
You know you know this sick part, the sick part
of this world right now is that could break the song.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
Well, maybe you should re release it Joey's version that
the first one was his version. Actually that's big right now.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
You guys should do the new kids the Kids version,
you know, it seems to be a big thing.

Speaker 8 (27:56):
Now we're too lazy, not a problem.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
So you can see you can not only see Joey
McIntyre live Saturday night on in East Cambridge, my neighborhood,
Warren Street, Jefferson Street, Warren Street, Portland Street. Yeah uh,
and it's Saturday night. Are you going to have backup
singers or something, Joey or is it?

Speaker 14 (28:21):
I have my collaborator, my co writer for my new
albums named Sean Thomas. He can play everything under the sun.
So that there's the two of us and we have
a couple of amazing Boston girl.

Speaker 8 (28:35):
Dancers.

Speaker 4 (28:35):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (28:36):
Hello, So yeah, we got a few bells and whistles.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
And by the way, you're the grand finale Saturday Night
of the sat Cosmo Demeon.

Speaker 8 (28:44):
Feast as as as it should be.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
And I promise you just Justin the producer of this
show that calls Justin will come down to the feast
and speed you up. But here's the deal. We've got
a prize. Now call her twenty five right now. We'll
get two VIP tickets for Joey's performance Saturday night and

the one hundredth anniversary.

behind the scenes? As in, I don't know, Lissa, you

So he ended up pulling out of a festival and
the festival was saying lies and he wanted to clear
so he needed you know, he had a pull out.

Speaker 7 (30:02):

Speaker 4 (30:40):
Yeah, it's tough, man, it's tough. It's life. But yeah,
shout out to Hunter and thank you for listening. And
we hope that we can be a form of getting
your mind off of that today and make you laugh.
You know.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
Originally from Beverly but living in Orlando, and we're on
our way to Disney World.

Speaker 3 (30:56):
Have a great day, guys.

Speaker 9 (30:57):
Okay, well, thank you us.

Speaker 4 (31:01):
She sounded like a Disney person a little bit. A
little bit.

Speaker 9 (31:05):
I wonder if she moved just to be able to
say she can go to Disney whenever she wants.

Speaker 4 (31:08):
People do that.

Speaker 7 (31:08):
They do that, They relocate just for that.

Speaker 4 (31:10):
They do that. Yeah, I'll have fun.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Say hi, I'm here with Mickey and many you guys
have had some big ceremony here today.

Speaker 4 (31:17):

comes back Monday morning, kicks off at seven ten. A
lot of money up for grabs.

Speaker 6 (31:29):
Oh my gosh, Secret Sound coming back. My son is
dying upset because I was just dropping him off at
school and he heard about Secret Sound coming back, and
he went, oh, no, remember how we were one call
away from winning when it was peeling an onion and
then you guys go and play the peeling an onion thing.

Speaker 4 (31:47):
I'm dying laughing. It's fantastic, thanks guys. Yeah, he brings
it all back. Fifteen grand yeah for that one sound
And she was right there. Yeah, so a lot of
money up for grabs, will do it. Again Secrets Sound
Monday morning at seven ten. Thank you everybody for checking in.
You can always use the talk back feature to get
your voice heard on the show. You do it on

(32:08):
the iHeart app. You can download it, look for that
little microphone and say whatever the hell you want.

Speaker 14 (32:15):
SI kids run away into the morning.

Speaker 3 (32:22):
Wrap up on Billy and Lisa in the Morning.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
Yes, the big topic this morning was cell phones in schools.
Boston Public schools back to school today. Welcome back to everybody,
But yes, cell phones in school? Should they be banned?
Are not? We got hundreds and hundreds of talkbacks and
calls on this, a lot of people chiming in.

Speaker 16 (32:40):
Good morning, Miss Rachel from the Seacoast diff New Hampshire.
My kids are both in high school. So the bell
to bell has been implemented at our high school and
it seems fine. The kids don't seem bothered by it whatsoever.

Speaker 17 (32:53):
I think the teachers and the students were slightly nervous
about how it was going to impact the day and
the communication between everyone, but it's fine. They also are
not allowed to have Apple watches or ipause.

Speaker 4 (33:06):
Yeah. I New Hampshire. The wide ban cracking down on
cell phones.

Speaker 18 (33:10):
Yeah, I think I'm on team don't ban the cell phone.
I want to be able to contact my child in
case of an emergency, and I want them to be
able to contact me. There are plans in place, I
understand that, but in an event of emergency, I want
to know my kid's safe, not an hour or two
hours later when I'm able to get in contact with them.
And there are things that teachers can do to mitigate
cell phone use. Write them up if you see them

(33:32):
touching it. And my daughter's school also has a box
they have to put their cell phones in when they
enter class.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
That's a good point too.

Speaker 9 (33:39):
Yeah, but to the point, if the phone's in the
box and a shooter happy, a shooter comes in or something,
they're not gonna get the phone anyways.

Speaker 7 (33:46):
They can't get to the phone, so you know what
I mean.

Speaker 9 (33:49):
And also you're saying teachers communicate, so you can to
mitigate thirty or forty kids at a time that are
probably all using their phone.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
Yeah, an emergency like that, you're just being ushered to
a safer place.

Speaker 4 (34:00):
Did pass legislation in Massachusetts, so it's expected next year
it will be in Boston, Massachusetts. I should say state
wide yes.

Speaker 15 (34:09):
So.

Speaker 4 (34:09):
Also this morning, Billy told a story about he saw
a guy get hitting a scooter yesterday. The guy seems
to be okay, but there were some people that got
out around the guy. Billy just kind of went the
other way.

Speaker 3 (34:19):
He took off.

Speaker 4 (34:19):
He took off right by him.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
So well, in my defense, my car was stuck in
the middle of the intersection.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
I was in the way of an ambulance to come. Yeah,
and there were a lot of people out there with that.
I don't know that he was okay.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
But doesn't sound like it. He locked off his bike.

Speaker 7 (34:37):
There was no reports of a death, and I.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Think we will Yeah, hopefully he is okay.

Speaker 17 (34:43):
I actually went on and downloaded the iHeart app just
so that I could send this talk back and say, Billy,
what the actual hell
