Speaker 3 (00:04):
It's just a great start to my day on kids.
Speaker 4 (00:06):

it's going to be a short week this week.
Speaker 2 (00:15):

a federal holiday.
Speaker 4 (00:21):
It is. Do you happen to see how foggy it
is out there this morning? Really foggy. Yep, it's very
foggy this morning. But we had a pretty nice day yesterday. Yeah,
all things considered, it was a decent weekend. And by
the way, this coming Saturday could be the first Saturday
in fourteen weeks that it's not going to rain.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
And it's going to be hot too.
Speaker 5 (00:42):
We're getting into a like a heat thing coming this
weekend through next week.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
It'll be in the nineties.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
Oh boy, next week.
Speaker 6 (00:49):
And it's the big party Saturday. We deserve it, my
daughter jocause the last two years it's rained.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
No, this is good, this is great.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Well Old mcdonald'd be coming with his farm.
Speaker 6 (01:00):
Is Yeah, there were some issues Old McDonald. The petting
zoo wasn't responding. He did respond, but now they're trying
not to bring the pony.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
Well, the whole point exactly the pony.
Speaker 6 (01:12):
The pony got injured.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
Ah, well, then Justin's been battling with the farm animal
guys for week.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Yeah, but they have other animals, right.
Speaker 6 (01:21):
It's all about the pony. They're gonna bring all kinds
of other animals. But you know, my wife wants the pony,
so they're gonna bring a backup pony, I think.
Speaker 4 (01:28):
Yeah, the backup pony will come one thing.
Speaker 5 (01:32):
In Yeah, I know, you never want to be the
backup pony.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
Happy birthday though.
Speaker 6 (01:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:38):
And her older brother Abel, there's a champion. He won
the whole damn thing.
Speaker 6 (01:42):
This weekend, right, dude. It was such a moment. They
had to win both games Saturday and Sunday, and they
did it. They pulled it off the Salem Red Sox.
So big congratulations to my son, his team, and to
Salem Youth Baseball. It's an amazing program.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Did you really cry? He cried?
Speaker 4 (01:58):
He's eight.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yeah, you have so much more.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
Justin's already eyeballing the red song.
Speaker 7 (02:08):
Gone.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
They're gonna need somebody, yeah, bring him up.
Speaker 6 (02:10):
He pitches and plays third base, Okay, I'm just saying
he isn't when you switch him from he does not complain. No, no,
but yeah, you know when that I mean, Lisa, I know, Billy, Lisa,
you guys can identify with this. But when they pulled
it off and they actually won, sure, and just seeing
him with his teammates on the field, I had sunglasses on,
so it's so good.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
They're jumping around each other.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Yeah, and I know he's the winning pitcher.
Speaker 6 (02:37):
Hey pitched the first three in it. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
Does he carry a big stick to yeah?
Speaker 6 (02:42):
Oh yeah, absolutely, Yeah. He had hit a couple of hits.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Get here.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
I didn't know what that meant in baseball.
Speaker 4 (02:48):
Okay, what did you think I was hoping that?
Speaker 7 (02:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Yeah, well obviously I just didn't know what the baseball term.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
Also, his Father's Day yesterday. Do not say Happy Father's
Day to me, Justine?
Speaker 6 (02:59):
Oh no, no, we are.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
Good morning Morning show.
Speaker 8 (03:01):
This is Michelle calling from the cell shore just to
wish Billy a happy Father's day.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Just in cases.
Speaker 9 (03:07):
Boys forget, have a great day.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Hope it gets spoiled.
Speaker 6 (03:11):
Yeah to me?
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Okay, then will Okay, didn't you see Chris.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
Yes, Chris came over. We had a good afternoon with Chris.
It was good. I had a great day. I talked
to my other two sons who are out of town.
But yeah, it was a great Father's day. And we
took Titus to the Bunker Hill Day Parade yesterday in Charlestown.
Oh fun, that was fun. An old fashioned parade.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
Yeah, Although I gotta be honest with you, Titus is
not a fan of parades.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
I hate parade.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
There's a lot of.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
People jumping up and down, and every time the whole crowd,
because we were near the reviewing stand, every time the
whole crowd collapsed, he had freak out and start parking.
But it was good, was nice, good old fashioned parade,
and half the weekend I was on Nantuck it. Now,
I want to make something very clear. I owe everybody
that listens an apology. First of all, the book festival
(04:07):
was fabulous. I got to be honest, it was really
cool walking through Nantucket and you look in the window
of bookshops and my book was in the window. I'm
just saying, that's fun. But you know how I always
talk about the ice cream place on Nantucket with the
lines forming around two blocks and making fun of it.
We did a shoot there, and now I know why
(04:27):
the lines are there. It's called the Juice Bar on
Nantucket and it's amazing, Like it's not just ice cream,
it's something else, but it was amazing, and I just
wanted to apologize for all of them.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
So you flipped the switch on Nantucket.
Speaker 4 (04:42):
Flip the switch on Nantucket again, and flip the switch
on Juice Bar.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Oh until something happens next time and there's a line.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Are we going back to Nantucket this summer?
Speaker 4 (04:51):
I don't know. We're you know, we're vineyard people know.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Oh okay, yeah.
Speaker 6 (04:54):
So now you're a fan of the ice cream place
on Nansicket. Yes, okay, just to revisit.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
The Kendon microphone. No one ever knows when he's talking
into the candid microphone. This is an ice cream store
on a corner in the middle of town, and lines
go around buildings and around the blocks for a ice
cream cone. Are you do me? I'd go for a
hoodsie cup to the supermarket if I want something cold
(05:24):
and wet. I'm apologizing. Okay, it's a fabulous the Juice Bar.
Oh man.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
I'm only saying that because he didn't have to sit line.
Speaker 6 (05:36):
He did not wait in line.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
You're only saying that because he was.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
On TV exactly.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
When you put a camera in their face right to
the front.
Speaker 4 (05:45):
Of the line. The smoothies, Oh, the smoothies.
Speaker 6 (05:48):
You know what, Billy, You're standing on business.
Speaker 5 (05:49):
It's talking to.
Speaker 4 (05:50):

Speaker 5 (05:59):

matchboard in my entire life. We have twenty four prizes,
fifty spaces, which means there are two free spaces, which
means if you get one of those and you get

But we've got a thousand dollars gift card visa gift card,
which is basically cash.
Speaker 2 (06:19):

Speaker 5 (06:23):
We've got Benson Boone tickets, Tate McCrae tickets, Jonas Brothers
tickets at Fenway.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Whoa so much.
Speaker 6 (06:29):
I'm looking at the board right now. It's literally triple
the size of the previous.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
And it takes up the whole studio enormous.
Speaker 10 (06:37):
So we'll kick it off at seven ten, no eight ten,
eight ten this morning.
Speaker 6 (06:41):
Seven no no no, no, no, no no no no
eight ten.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
I'm standing on business Okay.
Speaker 6 (06:47):
I know if people are wondering these clips I'm playing,
that's Justin Bieber. We're going to cover that. Oh and
people are probably like, what is that's the lead story
coming up?
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Can we talk about the match game one more time?
Speaker 7 (06:59):
Now?
Speaker 5 (07:00):
You have to listen to hear the numbers that are
chosen because we're not posting it.
Speaker 11 (07:04):
No, we're not posting it and we're and then the
podcast you will not be able to get the numbers right.
Speaker 6 (07:09):

Kiss want to wait and don't forget? Eight ten This morning,
the Mega match game kicks off.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Hi, this is Angela the Scientist.
Speaker 12 (07:45):
I'm gonna be a psycho about the match game pretty soon.
Speaker 13 (07:48):
But I'm just wondering.
Speaker 7 (07:49):
Is there a.
Speaker 14 (07:49):
Billy and Lisa hoodie on that board anywhere?
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Because that is what I would be trying to get. Okay,
love you guys, bye, Oh my god, we should have
done that.
Speaker 6 (07:59):
We can add it to the countdown experience.
Speaker 4 (08:03):
Yeah, at least his and hers hoodies? Just one, just one,
just one. Whoever won?
Speaker 2 (08:08):
We have very few left?
Speaker 6 (08:09):
Yes, oh okay, so the billion leaves the hoodies are beautiful.
But out of all those great prizes, all she wants
is the hoodie. Yeah, what about the trip to LA
or one thousand bucks?
Speaker 2 (08:18):
No, she wants you know, scarcity?
Speaker 4 (08:21):
Yeah right, so yeah, but you can't have.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Now the entertainment update with the Billy hopsto here we go.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
Red Sox have traded Raphael Devers to the San Francisco Giants. Devers,
a three time All star, arguably the best hitter on
the team. He's a San Francisco Giant now. ESPN breaking
it down the field Devors.
Speaker 13 (08:45):
After all that had happened with Boston this spring, the
move from third base to d h then then wanting
him to play first base, did not want to be
in Boston anymore, and the Red Sox saw this as
an opportunity to get rid of more than two hundred
and fifty million dollars that he was owed.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
Yeah, it was a money grab basically because now the
Giants will pay off that two hundred and fifty mili
to get Devers.
Speaker 7 (09:10):
It's like fake.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Money, right when you talk about this level.
Speaker 5 (09:13):
Not for Devers, yes, I'm saying, but it's it's so
much money.
Speaker 11 (09:17):
Yeah, they couldn't have get him further away. They couldn't
have get him further away from Austin.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
True, and he's only two years into that ten year
deal for like three hundred and fifty mil or something.
Speaker 6 (09:28):
And the Socks of Red Hot right now, they just
swept the Yankees this weekend. Yeah, I mean they've won
like five in a row. They're doing really well.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
And how's that they're going to play the Giants. I
think it's next weekend in San Francisco, Devers will be
with the Giants.
Speaker 6 (09:41):
Yeah, and he's not going to play third base. They
already have a third basement, so he's going to be
the dh I don't know.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
They're like, go be miserable somewhere else. Buddy.
Speaker 6 (09:48):
Wow, it just feels like Mookie Bets all over again.
Speaker 11 (09:52):
Yes, yeah, this seems different though, because Mooki wanted to
be here and Mooki was a team player. This actually,
to me feels like a good move from team.
Speaker 4 (10:01):
We'll see meantime. NBA Playoffs, the Pacers and the Thunder
Game five tonight, series tied to two games apiece, and
then the Stanley Cup Finals or Oilers and the Panthers
Game six tomorrow night. Panthers lead the series three games too.
I don't know if you caught the game over the weekend. Oh, buddy,
Brad marshaw On had two goals. He's been on fire.
(10:23):
Yeah right, Yeah, this is the biggest slap in the
face of the Bruins organization.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
But I'm so happy for him.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
Yeah, game away from a Stanley Cup.
Speaker 11 (10:31):
Yeah, you want to trade me during an awful season,
I'm gonna win the Cup.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
You have time this morning.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Got it.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
But anyway, Yeah, wow, lot going on. And then there's
the US Open golf tournament. I don't understand professional golf.
This guy JJ spawn had never won anything, and now
he's the US Open champion.
Speaker 5 (10:50):
It's a dream come true, Annie Draine, like a sixty
seven you know.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
Foot putt, Like it's amazing.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
No, it was like it was a definitive win and
I'm so happy for But you're right, like you may
never hear from him again.
Speaker 4 (11:02):
Wow, Like on a given day, your son Riley could
probably beat this guy, and now he s run.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
For his money, right, But that's golf.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Yeah, tough sport.
Speaker 5 (11:13):
Oh god, Yeah, Riley has a big tournament today, big tournament.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
It's a qualifier.
Speaker 6 (11:19):
That's it's so big. We can't even get him on the.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Can't even I can't even get him on the sholf.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
We're trying to get him on to talk about the
grant and Julian. We'll get to that story in a
couple of minutes. But I love this story. Justin Bieber
on Father's Day had a run in with the paparazzi
outside of Malibu restaurant. Not with his family, by the way,
but he laid out photographer. You're not going to do
this today. No, you don't get to ask me questions why.
Speaker 10 (11:46):
Not, because you just don't Why because I'm not your We're.
Speaker 6 (11:52):
Not we're not money that.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
You're a property.
Speaker 6 (11:56):
No no, no no no no no no no.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
No no no no no no no no no.
Speaker 6 (12:00):
I'm a father.
Speaker 4 (12:02):
I'm a dad. I'm a father. I'm a dad. I
understand that. And you guys understand by the property in
front of my car, I understand.
Speaker 12 (12:10):
No, you don't.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
Understand, or else you wouldn't be here.
Speaker 6 (12:16):
To me, I don't know, you, Lisa, what is he doing?
Speaker 1 (12:24):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (12:25):
I means what they want the paparazzi.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
Right, and he feeds right into.
Speaker 6 (12:29):
Why is he going to soho House in Malibu, the
celebrity hotspot.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
And since he's a father, where was his family?
Speaker 5 (12:35):
Well, she didn't post about him yesterday. She was she
was posting about business stuff, but she didn't.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
Most of that. And look, if you don't want to
talk to the paparazzi, you don't walk across the street
to start engaging them, right.
Speaker 6 (12:48):
And once you do, you're giving them what they want.
And I know it's tough Listen, we don't deal with it,
you know, we don't. We don't. We've never gone through
that paparazzi. People are following us, but you just can't
give in like that.
Speaker 4 (12:58):
Right, And he's yelling at them. But in the meantime,
now they've got the video and he was saying, you're
just going to use it out of contact. Of course
they are. You gave him all that material.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
He's mentally ill.
Speaker 11 (13:09):
It's just, yeah, the weird posts he's posted so much
this weekend, he his Instagram.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
It's really concerning.
Speaker 5 (13:15):
Yeah, I don't even Yeah, everything's so cryptic and yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
It's crazy land.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
Yeah, it's getting worse.
Speaker 11 (13:21):
And honestly, your parent anyways, when people he has been followed,
right like obviously his whole life since he's fifteen followed.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
But then when you have him, honest you.
Speaker 11 (13:29):
Actually think people are following you, even if you're not
justin Bieber.
Speaker 4 (13:33):
If you're justin Brittany Vibes, it really is major league.
Taylor and Travis had a night out this weekend. They
went to the Oiler's Panthers game in Florida, which I
thought was very cool, you know, and Taylor also made
a surprise visit to Children's Hospital in Florida visiting with kids,
which is even cooler.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
That was really sweet. I watched all those videos.
Speaker 4 (13:54):
Yeah, they're in the middle of a long break. They're
just living life right now.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
It's nice.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
The Songwriters Hall of Fame this weekend, Gracie Abrams picked
up into Wards.
Speaker 12 (14:03):
Writers use words to make sense of our dreams, fears, heartbreaks, awkwardness,
and aspirations, and when those words leave our brains and
move on to a page, it's always a bit terrifying.
Publishing codifies that terror, but marries it to the hope
that someone will discover those words and the small worlds
built from them and mean something to someone somewhere. And
(14:27):
it's pure magic and always a miracle when that happens.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
So at a ten this morning, we kick off the
Mega Match game and the list of prizes includes tickets
for Gracy Abrams here in Boston and then we fly
you out to Los Angeles for Gracy Abrams show there.
That's pretty cool stuff right there.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
She used words like codifying. I don't even know how
to spell that. We know, we know, yah, yeah, but
anyone know what that means.
Speaker 4 (14:55):
Yeah, Codify is to like solidify it or like melded together.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
It means to arrange.
Speaker 6 (15:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
Oh okay, So Grant and Juliana from The Bachelor have
split after only three months. No no, no, no, no no, no,
yeah no, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm telling you it's so fake.
But remember we had Juliana sitting right in this studio
not long ago. And here's some of it. We heard
(15:25):
Grant is moving here. Yes, it's that accurate.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Yes it is.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
Have you found a place yet together or are you looking?
Speaker 12 (15:33):
Or we don't have like a time frame necessarily for
it because we have so much travel coming up in
the next couple of months.
Speaker 4 (15:38):
You and Grant are good, yeah, really good? Yeah yeah
yeah no no no no no no no yeah no
no no no no no no no no no, not
really good.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
That quickly fell out. Yeah, arrangement. They were not not
codifying arranging themselves together.
Speaker 4 (15:55):
No, no, no, but justin you got a d M or something.
Apparently they were both at the Loft Hotel and the
Seaport District over the weekend. But these are things that
they have to do for ab series or commitments. But
the person was clear to point out that they weren't
doing anything together.
Speaker 6 (16:13):
It was actually last week. It was it was like
a fashion show that Juliana was on, and somebody DM
me that was there and said they definitely did not
like look like they were together.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
You're right.
Speaker 5 (16:22):
They are probably still, you know, under contract with ABC
and the Bachelor franchise because she could go on and
do Bachelor in Paradise or he could, or they can
use them for other things.
Speaker 6 (16:31):
They had a selfie wall and they didn't take one
selfie together. Well it's him with his friends.
Speaker 5 (16:36):
Yeah, yeah, but I don't know. She was so sweet
when she came in. I wish her the best.
Speaker 4 (16:41):
It's not all good.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
I mean, she seems perfectly nice.
Speaker 11 (16:44):
I just feel like this was just so over the
top for like literally nothing.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
But it's always that.
Speaker 6 (16:50):
With the best.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
This is a quick one.
Speaker 5 (16:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
It was the one successful couple in thirty years of
the franchise.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
I think like four maybe.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
Aaron Rodgers brother Jordan still with his.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
Yeah, another breakup to talk about over the weekend to
Katie Perry and Orlando Bloom all over.
Speaker 5 (17:09):
What Well, there's been like rumblings. I've been reading about
it for the past couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
So I didn't see that.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
Is it I don't think it's official.
Speaker 6 (17:22):
It's a little weird. Fun fact. Yeah, several years ago
there was a leak of Orlando blooms area and I
had pulled it to show Billy. This is like ten
years ago, and I never deleted it. And recently I
was going through my photos on my phone and I
found it was there.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
I did you remember?
Speaker 4 (17:44):
It was? I?
Speaker 6 (17:44):
Did I remember? Because Billy was really taken aback by.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
It in a way.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
Is he gifted?
Speaker 6 (17:50):
You don't remember?
Speaker 1 (17:51):
I was.
Speaker 4 (17:52):
I don't remember you were showing me.
Speaker 6 (17:54):
You can find it, it's online, but no, but just
tell us, like, is it worth the look? It depends
what you're into.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
I don't know what do you mean? Okay?
Speaker 6 (18:01):
I mean he was Billy was impressed.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
Well, I wasn't sure if he was.
Speaker 11 (18:08):
Standing on business business.
Speaker 4 (18:15):
The movie How to Train Your Dragon took the top
spot over the weekend more than eighty million dollars. And
I'm sorry, Whinnie, but we have to talk about the
Jonas brothers. They're not selling tickets. They had to shut
down venues. Okay.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
Can I can I talk about it as a Jonas fan?
Speaker 4 (18:31):
No, just do it as a person. Okay.
Speaker 11 (18:33):
So essentially there were six places in La Dallas, I
think Chicago a couple where they had like a stadium,
so like Dodger Stadium, Wrigley Field or whatever, and they
put it to like an amphitheater, like you know, like
a Excinity instead, because I don't think they were selling
as quickly as they thought they would. What really annoys
me is that the people that did buy them have
to get the refund and then re buy them for
(18:55):
the new place, like at least give me a ticket
somewhere near where I bought.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
And also meat's fatigue. I love them and full transparency.
Speaker 11 (19:03):
I get to go to their shows, and I haven't
bought a ticket in a while because I get to
go with work, and I'm annoyed that like they keep
going on tour, like give me a summer off.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
Okay, wow, Like like to I actually believe they could
fill a stadium.
Speaker 11 (19:15):
They have, They've gone, They've done Fenway, they did met
like I saw them at the Yankee stage.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
Do like what Harry Styles did, go on tour for
two years and then take a couple of years off.
Speaker 11 (19:27):
They're going back to like when we were younger and
they would do every summer.
Speaker 5 (19:29):
Because again scarcity creates demands the exactly I don't feel
like I can miss a show, so obdly to go
to every tour.
Speaker 4 (19:39):
So did fans finally find out that Kevin's guitar was
I needed.
Speaker 11 (19:43):
Kevin Flanner to stop. He's a nice person, okay, and.
Speaker 10 (19:48):
Needs to notice he's never done like a lead guitar solo. No, okay,
So he doesn't have to because.
Speaker 11 (19:57):
It's not Billy's just us because he's made millions and
millions off.
Speaker 6 (20:02):
And coming up eight ten on the Match Mega Match Games,
two tickets to the Jon.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
They will be it that way. It is one of
the one of the ten places that they're doing that.
Speaker 6 (20:12):
Like little Billy, why did you even ask?
Speaker 4 (20:14):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
No no, no, no.
Speaker 4 (20:17):
No no no no no no no no, no, no,
no no no.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
You're getting me riled up.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
And it's throwing six fifty three and we're brought to
you by Boston Vision. And you're dealing with contact lenses
and glasses while your eyes are itchy and watery from
the Allergies Book of Free no Obligation Evaluation. Today at
Boston Vision dot com. Your best vision is Boston Vision,
and there you go. It's Nick Jonas and.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
I like it from the Planet Fitness, Kiss one Away Studios.
They're back with a Villy and Lisa in the morning on.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
Kiss guys, So welcome back. A few things going on.
We've got a foggy start to this morning. Eight ten.
This morning we'll kick off the Mega Match Game. We've
got so many great prizes there. Red Sox have traded
Brafael Devers to the Giants. The Karen Reid jury has
its first full day of deliberations today. And don't forget,
in a few minutes, we're gonna have a billion list
in the morning show poll. We are want you to know.
(21:07):
Tell us guilty or innocent.
Speaker 6 (21:08):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
Yeah, leave us a talkback or just give us a call.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
Yeah. But in the meantime we do have some talkbacks.
Speaker 6 (21:14):
Right justin Yeah. Eight ten, the Mega Match Game kicks off.
Everybody is waiting for this. It's bigger and better than ever.
I'm looking at the board. I know people can't see it.
We'll post the picture behind Lisa. It's ginormous.
Speaker 5 (21:26):
I posted it on my Instagram and Kiss has it
on their instagram too.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
If you want to see the board.
Speaker 6 (21:30):
Okay, Lisa Donovan wan to wait on Instagram or kiss one. Await.
It's almost as big as our window in the studio,
really is. It's huge. But yeah, eight ten it kicks off.
Speaker 15 (21:37):
Good morning guys, Happy Monday. It is the start of
the Mega Match game that time of the year. I
really hope I don't have to call in at school
to drop off mom again. So pay attention ladies and
gentlemen in advance.
Speaker 6 (21:55):
Oh yeah, that was a whole thing. Is this some
anger when it comes to the game. It's unnecessary, you know,
But I get I do understand it because people are listening,
they're taking notes, they know what numbers are which, and
then they can't get through. And someone gets through that
doesn't isn't paying attention, Yeah, and just takes a guess.
Speaker 5 (22:14):
And yeah, like you said, this isn't being posted anywhere,
so you have to listen.
Speaker 6 (22:18):
You have to listen to the numbers eight ten, twelve,
ten and three ten.
Speaker 10 (22:23):
Yea, So pay attention, pay attention, drop off mom.
Speaker 6 (22:31):
All right, here we go.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
This message is for Billy.
Speaker 16 (22:34):
Billy, thank you so much for coming off the boat
on Friday and talking to me and my family.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
You really are so kind and.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Nice and you made my weekend have a great day.
Speaker 4 (22:44):
Thank you.
Speaker 6 (22:45):
That's no idea, that is well, well, it's well, you
know we know who they are, your friends a bill.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
We were we drop by the boat Max and I
this weekend.
Speaker 4 (22:54):
You're ye father day ye.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
Yeah, he was so sweet.
Speaker 4 (22:57):
Now there was a nice group of people walking down
the docs and a woman said, oh, I listen to
you guys every morning and get a picture. So that's
a very nice thank you.
Speaker 6 (23:06):
Billy.
Speaker 4 (23:08):
We sat on the boat, brought Max down.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
Sorry, it's just like a quick little visit.
Speaker 6 (23:14):
Yeah, it's nice that you lifted the band of people
coming on the boat. Remember you you banned everybody?
Speaker 11 (23:18):
Oh, he claims if I said that I was just
popping and he let me on it go, that's a lot.
Speaker 4 (23:22):
Well, because what was going on is that every time
we planned it for the morning show, everybody would cancel.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
Not me. I show up every time.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Yeah, I don't think I've ever canceled.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
Yeah, so just so the last time there was going
to be a morning show get together, everybody.
Speaker 6 (23:38):
Had a legitimate reason.
Speaker 4 (23:40):
I've never what you didn't want to drive in New Hampshire.
Speaker 6 (23:43):
Love your boat. It's that my children, this is the thing.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
If Justin cancels, we can still go without Justin. We
don't need him.
Speaker 6 (23:50):
Is that the rule?
Speaker 2 (23:51):
I don't know. I've always shown up.
Speaker 4 (23:54):
I mean to have no need to cancel.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
I'm nothing.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
Pretty consistent shows up.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
I'm consistent, same, I show up.
Speaker 6 (24:02):
All right. Well, let's get an invite out again, Bill,
We'll go to the boat, all right, all right.
Speaker 4 (24:06):
Happy Monday.
Speaker 16 (24:07):
It's the way of the South End. I want to
thank everybody for coming out to the Pride parade on Saturday.
Everyone had a great time. I wore my Billy and
Lisa hoodie. I decorated it for Pride, and I even
made it onto Telemondo TV. I'm excited about the matter
game today and one thing we're all waiting for this.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
Week, the verdict is in. I have a great day everyone. Yeah,
the verdict could come in any minute.
Speaker 11 (24:35):
I hope they do it before Thursday, just because they're
gonna be off Thursday because it's the federal holiday.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
So just get it done before that.
Speaker 4 (24:41):
Yeah, don't. I don't want to see it drag on.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
No, I don't either. You have to Wednesday. In my opinion,
I have to.
Speaker 5 (24:46):
Tell you, I walk in with one decision and then
I talked to somebody who has an opposing decision, and
then I walk out saying.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
Well that's plausible too.
Speaker 4 (24:55):
Yeah, the same thing happens to me.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
Yeah, yeah, I love Billy and Lisa kiss.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
Okay, so it is a crunch time the Karen Reid trial.
I know the jury got the case on Friday, only
managed to deliberate for a couple of hours before they
wrap things up for the weekend. And over the weekend,
least you did your own poll on your Instagram.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
I did.
Speaker 5 (25:14):
I posted Lisa Johnothan one o eight and I just
put guilty, not guilty.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
It's ninety two percent not guilty.
Speaker 6 (25:21):
Wow, I'm looking at the board right now. Producer Riley
and I are heart at work, and same thing really
at the talkbacks and the calls.
Speaker 4 (25:29):
All right, well, let's take a Billy and Lisa the
morning show poll. Karen read guilty or not guilty? You
want to start with the phones or the talkbacks?
Speaker 6 (25:36):
Uh, why don't we start with ourselves?
Speaker 5 (25:39):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (25:39):
Okay, what do you think?
Speaker 6 (25:41):
All right?
Speaker 4 (25:41):
Lisa? You keep changing your mind.
Speaker 5 (25:44):
I I if I was on the jury, I would
be looking at all of the evidence again, because I
walked in I a friend of mine yesterday had one position.
I had another position. About the time I got done
talking with her, I had switched over to her position.
Speaker 6 (25:58):
She turned you, she turned me.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
You have to look at the evidence.
Speaker 6 (26:03):
So what do you think? Do you think.
Speaker 5 (26:05):
If I were going to choose what the jury would say,
I would say not guilty.
Speaker 4 (26:10):
Yeah. I'm not going to offer my own opinion, but yes,
I think the jury will find her not guilty Justine
based on the other guilty.
Speaker 6 (26:17):
Yeah, there's enough reasonable doubt.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
I'm a hung jury. I'm a hungry Okay, Yeah, I
don't going to be how you.
Speaker 4 (26:23):
Could do it either way.
Speaker 11 (26:24):
I don't see how you could pay guilty. And I'm like,
I don't see not guilty. Turning on where you're looking like,
there's twelve people. I don't think twelve people could agree
on this.
Speaker 4 (26:33):
They're not going to producer Riley give me a thumbs
up or a thumbs down. She's saying not guilty, not guilty.
Speaker 6 (26:40):
Okay, Well, because if the jury, if there's any reasonable doubt,
they have to find not guilty. And there's plenty. Yeah,
let's go to Rachel online one. She's in Worcester, all.
Speaker 4 (26:50):
Right, Rachel and Buster go ahead, guilty, not guilty.
Speaker 5 (26:54):
She's not guilty.
Speaker 4 (26:55):
There's no way, Okay, thank you. We're going to keep
it quick. We just want to get any votes as
we can say.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
I don't need your life story.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
So far, it's one hundred percent not guilty. Justin talkback, Yeah, guilty, guilty, guilty.
Speaker 17 (27:08):
She was drunk, she hit him and she left him.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
I eight percent said guilty.
Speaker 5 (27:14):
So again it's I also not one hundred han either way.
Speaker 11 (27:18):
I have a theory that people that think she's guilty
don't say it because there's so much like backlash.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
You actually say, you get a tacks. I mean, Billy
just said he wouldn't offer his own opinion.
Speaker 4 (27:27):
Why is that I'm just winding on business man?
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Is that we're talking to you that I'm standing on business?
Speaker 4 (27:36):
Now?
Speaker 3 (27:36):
It's topic time for the Billy and Lisa in.
Speaker 4 (27:39):
The Morning, and Karen Reid is the topic. And why
not first full day of deliberations for the Karen Reid jury.
This morning, We're going to take a poll on the
Billy and Lisa Morning Show. Very simply guilty or not guilty? Justin?
You want to start with some of the closing arguments
from both sides.
Speaker 6 (27:55):
Yeah, we'll start with the prosecution.
Speaker 4 (27:58):
Okee was forty six years old.
Speaker 7 (28:01):
He's described as a good man, kind, generous, thoughtful. He
was a Boston Police officer. He worked to help the community.
And on January twenty nine, twenty twenty two, John o'keef
needed some help. And there was only one person in
(28:23):
this entire planet who could help him that morning, could
give him a chance.
Speaker 4 (28:27):
And that one person who could help him that morning
was this defendant right here, Karen Greed.
Speaker 6 (28:34):
She made a choice.
Speaker 4 (28:36):
She didn't call nine one mone mm hmmm, wow, Okay.
There was a bright side of the story, yep.
Speaker 18 (28:42):
And then there was no collision. There was no collision.
There was no collision. I want to start with a
simple truth. You folks, not us, nobody else in the courtroom.
You folks are the last line of defense, the last
line of defense between an innocent woman and a system
(29:03):
that has tried to break her. This case was corrupted
from the start. It was corrupted by biases and conflicts
and personal loyalties that you heard about, and most fatally,
it was corrupted by a lead investigator whose misconduct infected
every single part of this case from the top to
the bottom.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Okay, so what do you think.
Speaker 4 (29:23):
We went around the studio a little bit earlier this
morning and it was one hundred percent, not that we
thought she was not guilty, but that the jury would
rule not guilty.
Speaker 6 (29:31):
Before we go to the phones, Billy, can you expand
on Friday's show when you were in Nantucket and you
called in, they were Karen Reid supporters around you. It
was right here.
Speaker 4 (29:41):
But here's the funny part, well not funny, but the
interesting part. How are you yeah for Karen read?
Speaker 6 (29:48):
What happened?
Speaker 4 (29:50):
Okay, it was early in the morning. Obviously, I was
calling into the show from Nantucket and I was sitting
on the docks down at the marina, and you know,
people are kind of waking up and walking by, and
that woman just kind of walk by and said open
like Austin freak Aaron read.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
Was she wearing a pink shirt?
Speaker 6 (30:03):
No?
Speaker 4 (30:04):
Okay, Oh, they're down here too, there everywhere. Okay, let's uh,
what do you want to do? You want to go
to the phone.
Speaker 6 (30:14):
Let's go to Erica and Everett.
Speaker 4 (30:16):
Erica, good morning, guilty, You're not guilty.
Speaker 19 (30:19):
Not guilty.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
It's a beautiful day to free Karen Reid.
Speaker 4 (30:22):
Okay, uh, there's that Carter. Carter, and we've got them
all lined up. Carter, what do you think guilty or
not guilty?
Speaker 6 (30:28):
Karen Reid?
Speaker 4 (30:32):
Carter got not guilty? Okay, not kill Catt? Why Carter?
Speaker 19 (30:39):
Because I don't think you can prove that she did
it beyond a reasonable doubt. I don't think she's a
great person. But like all of the things that the
prosecution have brought up, like there's so many holes in
the story and so many like why did you do that?
Like why'd you sell the house, why'd you sell the dog?
Why why did you destroy your phone and your SIM card?
You know, like there's got to be something more that
(31:00):
you know, well said.
Speaker 6 (31:01):
Good job, Carter. And that's really what it comes down to,
is the reasonable doubt. It's not whether she's a good
person or you know, if you like her you don't
like her. It comes down to is there a reasonable doubt?
And if there's any reasonable doubt, it's not guilty exactly.
That's just the wait and.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
The doubt kind of came right out of the gate
because of the way it was handled at the outset.
Speaker 6 (31:20):
It was a mess.
Speaker 8 (31:21):
I think she's guilty as hell, she bragged about having
seven drinks. Any woman her size that had seven drinks
should not have been behind the wheel of a cash
who was probably in a blackout drunk hit him. Didn't
realize it when she soawd it up some that's when
she realized, oh my god, maybe I hit him. Maybe
(31:42):
it wasn't a dream. I think she should go to jail,
Like seriously, she hasn't even been taken this serious enough so.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
That person thinks it would be guilty.
Speaker 11 (31:52):
Well, the one thing I think we can all agree on,
and that's why I think the issue is that even
if she's the most innocent person or the most guilty
person in the world, think she has much of a
recollection of that night because it was she admitted that
she had seven drinks, so she could be so innocent,
are so guilty, But I don't even think she really
knows what she is because I think she was very druyk.
Speaker 4 (32:11):
And keep in mind they just were hopping from bar
to bar and then there was an Aska party. I
mean a lot of drinking, Yeah, a lot of drinking.
Speaker 17 (32:18):
Good morning, Billy and Lisa and Winnie and Justin. This
is Kirsten from New Hampshire. I'm calling to say that
Karen Reid absolutely should be found not guilty. I have
been absolutely knee deep in this from the beginning and
there's just no way. The fact that this case even
got brought to trial is absolutely crazy, and there's so
(32:42):
much reasonable doubt. Not guilty all the way.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
And bottom line, they also overcharged her. Oh they did.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
That's the biggest part of this whole thing.
Speaker 11 (32:51):
Did you guys even see and Hank Brennan's closing argument,
he said, basically, I'm not saying she meant to hit him.
Speaker 1 (32:58):
She was like, he's a get to tragedy. I'm not
saying that she was malicious.
Speaker 11 (33:01):
He was like, but she did hit him that He
actually did say that in his closing argument.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
But he didn't think that she was malicious in it.
Speaker 5 (33:08):
But it's whether the jury will buy well, did they
prove that she hit him? Yeah, and Alan Jackson said
there's no proof.
Speaker 4 (33:15):
Yeah, And it really doesn't matter what anybody thinks guilty
or not guilty. It's all about what the jury is
going to say exactly.
Speaker 6 (33:20):
Yeah. And also, you know, we can't forget there will
not be justice for John O'Keefe.
Speaker 4 (33:25):
Yeah, there's only one dead person here.
Speaker 9 (33:27):
Yeah, she's guilty, guilty, guilty. The truth came out within
the first few hours after Johnny's death. She was drunk,
she said she hit him, she knew where he was.
Once the lawyers got involved, they start to tell the
lies to cause reasonable though. She is guilty from day one.
Speaker 5 (33:50):
Someone knows what happened. Yeah, because there's a guy dead
on your lawn.
Speaker 11 (33:56):
Yeah, that person has to be John's friend, they said, Johnny,
no one calls him.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
Yes, yeah, I mean it's a lot.
Speaker 5 (34:02):
I mean this is such a local story, Yeah, personal
for so many people, especially the people of Canton.
Speaker 4 (34:08):
Yeah, a lot of people lost a friend or lost a.
Speaker 6 (34:11):
Family member, right John Stamos and the Beach Boys, Oh yes.
Or at the Lowell Auditorium Friday night, I was going
to play the audio, but it's really not that good.
And Stamos was on stage talking about his infatuation with
the Karen Reid trial and said he invited Karen to
the show. Yeah wow, Yeah, isn't that crazy.
Speaker 9 (34:29):
I would say, based on the evidence, she is not guilty.
Speaker 14 (34:33):
Do I think she hit him, Yes, But do I
think she's framed?
Speaker 17 (34:38):
Absolutely?
Speaker 8 (34:39):
And they did a very poor job of covering up
how they framed her.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
Well, she brings up a good point.
Speaker 5 (34:48):
It could be both h Yeah, yeah, both things could
be true.
Speaker 4 (34:52):
But the opinions are far ranging. I mean, we played
the goofy thing from Nantucket a couple of minutes ago,
and we just had John Stamos on with the Beach Boys,
and then last week Kelly Rippa on Mark and Kelly
was talking about how she's obsessed. So people all over
the country are like obsessed with this trial.
Speaker 6 (35:09):
Yeah, all the documentaries.
Speaker 20 (35:12):
Yeah, initially I was not guilty like everyone else, but
after watching the HBO documentary, I'm about one hundred percent guilty.
Like all the physical evidence points to her microplastics in
the swatter, DNA on the headlight. It just there's not
(35:32):
actually that much evidence to show that anyone else was involved.
Speaker 6 (35:37):
I don't know.
Speaker 20 (35:38):
I think she has good lawyers and a good PR team.
Speaker 6 (35:42):
Again, the injuries really weren't that weren't consistent enough for me,
I didn't think so. Yeah, that was a big piece
for me.
Speaker 11 (35:48):
I think if anything, her attitude in the documentary might
make you feel more that she's guilty. That if you're
like in the middle, you might be like damn with
that attitude, maybe you did do something.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
Yeah from the outset, I thought the TV any of
yours wore a mistake.
Speaker 5 (36:02):
And now an attitude doesn't Attitude doesn't mean you're guilty.
It just means you have a bad attitude.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 6 (36:09):
Yeah, sometimes she does come off a little bit unlikable,
and I will say that, but yeah, you're right. Least
doesn't mean she's guilty.
Speaker 4 (36:14):
Not a lot of remorse.
Speaker 6 (36:16):
Right, let's go to Shannon and Boxford. She wants to
weigh in.
Speaker 4 (36:19):
Hey, Shannon, go ahead, Karen Reid, weigh in.
Speaker 19 (36:23):
Not guilty. There's no blood.
Speaker 4 (36:25):
Where's the blood?
Speaker 19 (36:26):
Where's always bloods?
Speaker 2 (36:29):
Okay, Yeah, that's always been a big I will say.
Speaker 4 (36:32):
The arm cuts looked very to me, like a dog lights,
not like not like being bumped by the car.
Speaker 6 (36:38):
Yeah, I agree.
Speaker 14 (36:39):
I am just hoping to God that she's not guilty,
because everyone in my inner circle thinks that she's not guilty.
And right now, as soon as Karen Reid comes off
the lips of somebody that I know, like, there goes
an hour of my life all of a sudden, Like
we're court experts and we're looking at evidence and we're
sitting through information and we're saying, yeah, she's absolutely not guilty,
(37:01):
and I'm just I'm just ready to go back to
normal life.
Speaker 6 (37:05):
That was yesterday at least I was.
Speaker 21 (37:06):
I was getting a bikini wax and the woman's talking
to me as I'm getting a whack, like and I
walked in with one position and she had a different one,
and by the time we were done, I walked out
with it with her.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
Position, like, oh, yeah, you're totally right.
Speaker 4 (37:20):
That's one of the craziest things of this trial is
that everybody feels like a lawyer and they like they
know everything right. They're so engaged in this story.
Speaker 6 (37:30):
Everyone's an expert, yes, and then they get angry.
Speaker 15 (37:33):
Anyone who thinks Karen Read is guilty has a rock
for a brain.
