earlier this morning. He said, you won't believe what happened
to me yesterday. I was out holiday shopping. At least.
Do you want to tell the story now?

Yeah, So I went out to Nordstrom Tuesday to do
all my holiday shopping. I chose that store because I've
got people all over the country. There are a lot
of Nordstrums everywhere. If they don't like if they can
return it, exchange it. So get all my packages out,
put them all in the car. They're in the car overnight.
So yesterday I walk out to my car to get
all the stuff to wrap everything and ship it out.

I bring all the stuff in the bag with all
of your gifts in.

It is missing. The Billy bag is not in my car.
It's nowhere to be Found.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
I get this sinking, sick feeling in my stomach that somehow,
because I was so distracted and I had so many
other things going on while I was shopping, that I
left the bag in the store.

Somewhere and it was a lot of stuff, like just
on a floor somewhere.

Just anywhere in the store. I didn't know where I
put it. And again, a lot of stuff for you, okay,
she told me, a lot of stuff for you, which
I have to say, I don't think I could have
gone back and repurchased it.

So that's why I was having like this sick feeling.
So I called the store.

Customer service says, I'm really sorry, we don't have anything
in lost and found, but we'll take your number down.

So I'm like great.

Didn't hear from them for an hour. So I'm like, okay,
I'm going to go back to the store. Drive all
the way back to the store, retrace my steps, go
into every different department. I was in men's, women's, kids,
finally in kids.

She was not the person who helped me. She was lovely.

She says, you know what, give me a description of
what you're looking for. I'll go in the back and
see she goes in the back, she brings the bag out.

Ab absolute nightmare diverted. You're gonna get your presence. But

thing was it wasn't like I went right back in again.
Like I noticed when I got in the car it
was a full day later.

Someone could have very easily just walked right out and

To me, like, I wait, a million customer.

I was the millionth customer of whatever. They made a
huge deal about it. I was so excited because I
thought I won a gift card or something. I was
so excited. I want a small Duffel bag.

So years ago when you could do Black Friday shopping
for real? But you when you sit out front? We
sat out front of Target for hours waiting to get
in with my girlfriends. Had a little bit of wine
while we waited in our chairs. So when I got
in and I bought everything. One of the things I
bought was a PlayStation, which was like four hundred dollars.
But I was so scatterbrained and whatever. I left the

place station there at their register. So I left with
all my bags except the PlayStation. So I'm it was
so bad. So I went home and I put everything
in the basement. I hadn't didn't realize it for over
three weeks because I just hit everything and then went
back down to sort of start start wrapping, and it
wasn't there. And I panicked, and I went back to
the store and I said, you're never going to believe this.

But three weeks ago I was here and they looked
at me and they were like, yeah, we do believe it.

you open the door for people. So there were you
know the double doors that they have, you know, like
a little vestibule or whatever in the middle. So I
opened one door, she opens the other door. We can

see people frantically, you know, rushing towards the doors. I
was like, well, you know, holiday shopping. I'm sure they're
in a rush. They have things to do. So we're
opening the door and they go flying by us with
all these things in their hands. And Julison said, Mommy,
they didn't even say thank you. I said, well, some
people are rude, but we're doing the right thing.

Then comes to small security. The cops pull up.

Apparently they're robbing the store, and here we are holding
the door.

And it was a smashing round.

Yes, I was like horrified. I'll never forget. It was
just funny because she was so young and I was
trying to teacher to do the right thing, be polite.

Really, it was kind of funny, and I remember I
still remember years ago they had like the Hankley knives
or whatever they're called. Oh yeah, box the boxes they're
running out because this was years ago, so it was

shopping and two days before Christmas, I wrapped the bags
in the car Christmas Eve, I said my husband, I
will go get those bags and he brings them in
and I'm like, he didn't bring them all in and
He's like, yes, I did. I said, no, you didn't.
I go up to the car well he did bring

all the beds in and I was panicking. I'm like,
it's Christmas Eve, I'm missing two bags of stuff. I
talked Bradley the day after Christmas and I did. I
left them at the register.

And they have the two bags.

One time I went shopping a long time ago and
I lost my wallet in the middle of the shopping
and I wasn't even done with my Christmas shopping. The
worst part is whoever found my wallet went to a
little dirty dive bar in Chelsea and had a great
time while I was livable crying and I lost my wallet.

There's other situations where you just it's a total loss.

So fifteen years ago, when my nephews were very small,
my mother in law asked my father in law to
take the garbage out on Christmas Eve morning as she
was getting ready for Christmas Eve festivities that night. Well
later that night, when she went to get the garbage
bag that she had kept all the children's gifts in
guess what we found. We found garbage. All of the
Christmas gifts had been thrown away, and that was that.

There was no trying to retrace our steps in that case.

They mistakenly threw everything in the trash.

They put all the gifts in a trash bag, so
it looked like trash and they.

course wanted nikes. She wanted all before old I'm like,
I have to stop at Zara for me because I

never get anything at Zara for me. I'm like, I'm
not even going in the children's section or so I went.
I got a couple of things. You walked around, did
all the sites. This is during the day, right before
we go to Central Park. I'm like, where's my Tsara bag?
They had theirs and I'm like, oh my god, it's
the only two things I never end up getting myself stuff.

You gravitate, I think, as a mother, typically to the
children's area. So I'm like, I just want these two things.

Okay, so this is the part of the show. We're
actually kick off the topic of the day and then
we go win too topic time. We'll let everybody give
their feelings and their opinions. So Lisa Donovan walked in
earlier this morning. He said, you won't believe what happened
to me yesterday. I was out holiday shopping. At least.
Do you want to tell the story now?
Speaker 4 (24:48):
Yeah, So I went out to Nordstrom Tuesday to do
all my holiday shopping. I chose that store because I've
got people all over the country. There are a lot
of Nordstrums everywhere. If they don't like if they can
return it, exchange it. So get all my packages out,
put them all in the car. They're in the car overnight.
So yesterday I walk out to my car to get
all the stuff to wrap everything and ship it out.
(25:08):
I bring all the stuff in the bag with all
of your gifts in.
Speaker 5 (25:12):
It is missing. The Billy bag is not in my car.
It's nowhere to be Found.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
I get this sinking, sick feeling in my stomach that somehow,
because I was so distracted and I had so many
other things going on while I was shopping, that I
left the bag in the store.
Speaker 5 (25:28):
Somewhere and it was a lot of stuff, like just
on a floor somewhere.
Speaker 4 (25:32):
Just anywhere in the store. I didn't know where I
put it. And again, a lot of stuff for you, okay,
she told me, a lot of stuff for you, which
I have to say, I don't think I could have
gone back and repurchased it.
Speaker 5 (25:44):
So that's why I was having like this sick feeling.
So I called the store.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
Customer service says, I'm really sorry, we don't have anything
in lost and found, but we'll take your number down.
Speaker 5 (25:51):
So I'm like great.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
Didn't hear from them for an hour. So I'm like, okay,
I'm going to go back to the store. Drive all
the way back to the store, retrace my steps, go
into every different department. I was in men's, women's, kids,
finally in kids.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
A woman there.
Speaker 5 (26:03):
She was not the person who helped me. She was lovely.
Speaker 4 (26:06):
She says, you know what, give me a description of
what you're looking for. I'll go in the back and
see she goes in the back, she brings the bag out.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
It's the bag.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
It is the bag.
Speaker 3 (26:15):
That's a Christmas America.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
Ab absolute nightmare diverted. You're gonna get your presence. But
I'm telling you it reminded me of like, has this
happened to other people? Like shopping nightmare just because the
thing was it wasn't like I went right back in again.
Like I noticed when I got in the car it
was a full day later.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
Yeah, that was your lucky.
Speaker 5 (26:36):
I'm so lucky the receipt was in the bag.
Speaker 4 (26:39):
Someone could have very easily just walked right out and
then returned the stuff later.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (26:43):
But you know what this shows us that there are
good people in this world. Still, Yes, definitely yea.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
And also the woman that works there was verifying you.
She knew she had a bag, but she wanted to
know what you had in your bag before she brought
it out exactly. Yeah. Wow, they can I ask, am
I getting skims underwear?
Speaker 1 (27:00):
You're getting You're getting a lot like the entire skim store.
Speaker 6 (27:06):
I can imagine that conversation with Billy if you didn't
get the bag back.
Speaker 4 (27:09):
That's what I was saying, Like what was I gonna say,
I bought you gifts, but now I don't have them
because I lost them.
Speaker 3 (27:14):
Yeah, but you'd be so stretched out I will say anything.
I said, Oh, that's fine, don't worry about.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
It behind your back leaves.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
What an idiot? How do you lose a bag at the.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
North from Christmas shopping? All right, you know what, keep
your frigging bag.
Speaker 6 (27:27):
I don't mean I would have got a commanded microphone from.

Yeah, okay, lyc, you really bought it, all right?

Walking to it, I'd be like one of the odds
had to be my bag. You red about it for
a year to yeah, my bag on the floor alone.

I never told you guys this, but a couple of
years ago, well probably five years ago, I was Christmas
shopping and I was at the mall and I walked
into Macy's. Yeah, and when I walked in, uh, these
bells started going off, all these alarms and music, and
everyone started screaming, all the workers and running up.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
To me, like, I wait, a million customer.
Speaker 6 (28:03):
I was the millionth customer of whatever. They made a
huge deal about it. I was so excited because I
thought I won a gift card or something. I was
so excited. I want a small Duffel bag.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Oh first, so they do that. I've never seen anyone.
Speaker 6 (28:19):
Actually I won it.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
I want a million.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
Was there anything good in it?
Speaker 3 (28:22):
It was empty, just a little.
Speaker 5 (28:25):
Do you still have the Duffel bag?

Oh my god. I will say this though. It's holiday
shopping season. People lose things, drop things, lose their keys

You're scatterbrained and you tend to forget things, lose things
dropping in this.

Place logging he never got the items, Well, you did

Yeah, a Lisa had a scary thing yesterday. Was it Nordstrom?

And you did a lot of shopping in one of
the big bags you just left somewhere.

It was the Billy bag.
Speaker 7 (29:29):
Oh boy, I wouldn't have given for her to lose
all those pressures. Oh no, Billy would have been talking
about this till he died.

Yeah, but still, good morning team.

First of all, I'm sorry that you went through that,
but I'm glad you got your bag back. And secondly,
that reminds me of the story when Billy said he
bought you.

All something on his safari, but it was in his
lost bag.

And then when he got his lost bag back, the
truth came out and he didn't buy you guys anything.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
So that kind of shows what Billy would do.

On the air, Lisa, he lied and said he lost
his bag with all of our gifts and there were

I thought it was genius that I thought of that.

great gifts or leave.

He would get the bag back and got the bag
back and then had to go on the air and
say I'm sorry, I lied.

So years ago when you could do Black Friday shopping
for real? But you when you sit out front? We
sat out front of Target for hours waiting to get
in with my girlfriends. Had a little bit of wine
while we waited in our chairs. So when I got
in and I bought everything. One of the things I
bought was a PlayStation, which was like four hundred dollars.
But I was so scatterbrained and whatever. I left the

place station there at their register. So I left with
all my bags except the PlayStation. So I'm it was
so bad. So I went home and I put everything
in the basement. I hadn't didn't realize it for over
three weeks because I just hit everything and then went
back down to sort of start start wrapping, and it
wasn't there. And I panicked, and I went back to
the store and I said, you're never going to believe this.
(31:20):
But three weeks ago I was here and they looked
at me and they were like, yeah, we do believe it.

Wow, good for Target.
Speaker 9 (31:32):
I believe it.

My husband was so happy.

So years ago, I was shopping. I was going to
Macy's with my daughter, who's four at the time. So
we're going into the store to do some Christmas shopping
and I was teaching her, you know, you be polite,
you open the door for people. So there were you
know the double doors that they have, you know, like
a little vestibule or whatever in the middle. So I
opened one door, she opens the other door. We can
(32:18):
see people frantically, you know, rushing towards the doors. I
was like, well, you know, holiday shopping. I'm sure they're
in a rush. They have things to do. So we're
opening the door and they go flying by us with
all these things in their hands. And Julison said, Mommy,
they didn't even say thank you. I said, well, some
people are rude, but we're doing the right thing.
Speaker 10 (32:37):
Then comes to small security. The cops pull up.
Speaker 16 (32:40):
Apparently they're robbing the store, and here we are holding
the door.
Speaker 3 (32:46):
And it was a smashing round.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
Helped them along.
Speaker 16 (32:51):
Yes, I was like horrified. I'll never forget. It was
just funny because she was so young and I was
trying to teacher to do the right thing, be polite.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
God, they could have question you was an accessory totally.
Speaker 10 (33:02):
Really, it was kind of funny, and I remember I
still remember years ago they had like the Hankley knives
or whatever they're called. Oh yeah, box the boxes they're
running out because this was years ago, so it was
kind of a big thing whatever, But it was just
kind of funny. I love your show, listen every day.

This is like thirty years ago at Bradley's in Medfid.
It's a meadow Glenmor. I had done last minute Christmas
shopping and two days before Christmas, I wrapped the bags
in the car Christmas Eve, I said my husband, I
will go get those bags and he brings them in
and I'm like, he didn't bring them all in and
He's like, yes, I did. I said, no, you didn't.
I go up to the car well he did bring
(34:15):
all the beds in and I was panicking. I'm like,
it's Christmas Eve, I'm missing two bags of stuff. I
talked Bradley the day after Christmas and I did. I
left them at the register.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
And they have the two bags.
Speaker 11 (34:27):
So the day after kiss, I.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
Remember, isn't that what you're choked on? A sausage?
Speaker 1 (34:33):
I choked on a hot t eye. Your brown is
on the side, I remember, brad You know sometimes I
wish you check me out.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
So this must happened more than you know what I mean,
it must happen a lot because the store.
Speaker 3 (34:42):
Is like know what to do, it seems like and
again it's because it's the season and everybody, it's crazy,
you're going to be in this place, this place, this
place so nice, all these all these good stories.

One time I went shopping a long time ago and
I lost my wallet in the middle of the shopping
and I wasn't even done with my Christmas shopping. The
worst part is whoever found my wallet went to a
little dirty dive bar in Chelsea and had a great
time while I was livable crying and I lost my wallet.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Oh that's not good.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
It can't be all good stories now, Yeah, you know
Winders really isn't keepers.
Speaker 6 (35:16):
Yeah, if you find something to give it back again.
There's other situations where you just it's a total loss.
Speaker 12 (35:22):
So fifteen years ago, when my nephews were very small,
my mother in law asked my father in law to
take the garbage out on Christmas Eve morning as she
was getting ready for Christmas Eve festivities that night. Well
later that night, when she went to get the garbage
bag that she had kept all the children's gifts in
guess what we found. We found garbage. All of the
Christmas gifts had been thrown away, and that was that.
(35:44):
There was no trying to retrace our steps in that case.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
They mistakenly threw everything in the trash.
Speaker 6 (35:50):
They put all the gifts in a trash bag, so
it looked like trash and they.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
Threw it away.
Speaker 6 (35:55):
All the gifts.

Hi? The weekend before Thanksgiving, I decided to take my
kids to New York City. My son, Enzo is fourteen,
my daughter's thirteen, so of course they wanted to see everything,
do the touristy thing. I took them shopping. Lorenzo of
course wanted nikes. She wanted all before old I'm like,
I have to stop at Zara for me because I
(36:24):
never get anything at Zara for me. I'm like, I'm
not even going in the children's section or so I went.
I got a couple of things. You walked around, did
all the sites. This is during the day, right before
we go to Central Park. I'm like, where's my Tsara bag?
They had theirs and I'm like, oh my god, it's
the only two things I never end up getting myself stuff.
Speaker 16 (36:41):
Every time I go to store.
Speaker 11 (36:43):
You gravitate, I think, as a mother, typically to the
children's area. So I'm like, I just want these two things.
It's something maybe I'm gonna have for New Year's Eve.
It was really cute. We went and backtracked every store
in New York City, like we don't have a car,
We're pavement.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
At this point.
Speaker 11 (37:01):
My kids like, are you kidding me?
Speaker 16 (37:02):
And I'm like, no, we'll not let you say it.
Speaker 11 (37:04):
Hopefully they's a good Samaritan. I love my name and
number at all these places, and Lulu Lemon had it,
and I was so excited to call them. I finally
got through and they're like, we have your bag. I
had to go there and describe it, and I was
so grateful.

I wrote a review for them.

I'm just saying how kind.

Yeah that was, you know, because it was cute.

Stuff and it's for girls, so you know, they could
have just kept it.

Or someone could have kept it. It's brand new, and nope,
they turned it in and I was so excited. They
made it essential part before sunset.

Oh that's great. At lista. So you were right. I
think they're ready for it, the retailers right during the holidays,
and they're honest, they saved the bags. That's going to
be such a relief. You get there and oh I
think I have your bag. Oh god, thank god, that's amazing.

My Christmas harvest shopping harvest story was just yesterday Bellington
co Factory. Some of them went in to pick up
a few extras, got in line at ten minutes and
three walked out of the store at five past four.
Speaker 3 (38:06):
It was nuts.

Yeah, well, let's crunch time now. If you're doing holiday shopping,
this is forget. This weekend is going to be crazy. Yeah,
