Governor Heally, we'll be addressing the chaotic street takeovers this
morning at the State House. Air traffic controllers are not
showing up for work as the threat of more delays
at airports across the country continues because of the government shutdown.

New Ampshire, which will directly affect New England airports. Heavy

(01:03):
delays in Nashville, Chicago, Denver, and Newark will have an
effect on air travel here too.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
There's not a lot of margin for aeron, so with
the ongoing shortage one or two out, sick has a
bigger impact than it would be if the tower was
fully staffed. It's all built around safety.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
If they don't have enough controllers to handle the traffic,
they keep it on the ground until they can get
enough controllers and they move only the traffic they can
handle safely.
