the teams, or maybe it was a team decision, like
they wouldn't even put you know, alcohol sponsorship out there
in the stadium, right, Yeah. I mean they would do
deals for broadcasting and all that stuff, no big deal.
But we've we've really changed in terms of what we allow,
and I think that there was a reason why we

think you're seeing a lot more of that now. And
maybe that means they're going to have to change the
rules and how they do things. But it kind of
seems like the cats out of the bag, right, Oh.

You know, I've never been a gambler. I'm the kind
of guy that if I'm going to go to a casino,

the Patriots. How about those Patriots first placed AFC East.

Gosh, isn't it nice? The boys are back. The boys
are back, They're in town, they're loving it. And you
know what I love the most. These guys like playing
the game of football and they like being around each other.
I mean the camaraderie and and that's a hard thing
to establish if you're if you're a coach that's been
there for a while, right, But look at the job
that coach Brable and the rest of his staff have

done and help and these guys just be a good teammates,
i e. Good humans and then also doing a pretty
darn good job of putting it out there on the
field and winning these games. I mean bodes well. And
they got a lot of young guys that are playing
well too.

Stefan Diggs looks like he's having the time of his
life on the sidelines, I know.

And by the way, like in the past, you know,
there were times where you wondered, is this guy happy?
Does he like where he's at? But I think he does.
I think he enjoys playing with a team where it matters.
I mean, guys like Stefan Diggs, they don't. They don't
just go out there and play the game. They put
everything into it, their heart, their soul, their passion. And
when when you have a whole bunch of other guys

doing the same thing, it's easy. Even when things get difficult, right,
it's easy to bounce back and go out there and
get those wins.

think it was like maybe a second or third of

I remember back when we were winning consistently, right, and

may have even fought each other in practice, but when
we were in that locker room, we enjoyed each other's company. Man.

We we were a tight knit, close organization, and I
think that that is a lot of why teams win.
And I like what these guys are doing, man, I mean,
they're they're getting creative in some ways. Josh is such
a great play caller. You know, it's fun to watch
what he's doing offensively. Defensively, these guys, I mean the turnovers,
you know, the big stops. I mean, they're playing really

was a true freshman playing tight end and I was
getting manhandled by Vrabel, who was a senior I believe
at the time, and of course a much better Ohio

State team than we were a Purdue. But yeah, I've
got a long history with him, and you know, I
think the way he approaches the game is so important. Today.
It's all about toughness, it's all about mentally and physically tough,
and that's that's gonna bode well, especially late in the season.

and we used to do a Halloween party every year,
and I remember when he walked into the Halloween party.
Now he's got jeans with a belt, right, no shirt, okay,
and he's probably wearing a hat of some kind. But
he may be one of the hairiest humans on the planet.

Oh, it's not just the back, it's the full shoulders
all the way down to the to the cuffs link right,
I mean, he he is one hairy human. And he
had shaved right about his elbows right down to his wrist,
and then he shaved a v around his neck and
then a couple of circles in his belly button. It
looked like he was wearing a cardigan and it was hilarious.

the game of football and they like being around each other.
I mean the camaraderie and and that's a hard thing

that coach Brable and the rest of his staff have

done and help and these guys just be a good teammates,
i e. Good humans and then also doing a pretty
darn good job of putting it out there on the
field and winning these games. I mean bodes well. And
they got a lot of young guys that are playing
well too.

life on the sidelines, I know.

And by the way, like in the past, you know,
there were times where you wondered, is this guy happy?
Does he like where he's at? But I think he does.

I mean, guys like Stefan Diggs, they don't. They don't
just go out there and play the game. They put
everything into it, their heart, their soul, their passion. And
when when you have a whole bunch of other guys

doing the same thing, it's easy. Even when things get difficult, right,
it's easy to bounce back and go out there and
get those wins.

think it was like maybe a second or third of

I remember back when we were winning consistently, right, and

may have even fought each other in practice, but when
we were in that locker room, we enjoyed each other's company. Man.

We we were a tight knit, close organization, and I
think that that is a lot of why teams win.
And I like what these guys are doing, man, I mean,
they're they're getting creative in some ways. Josh is such
a great play caller. You know, it's fun to watch
what he's doing offensively. Defensively, these guys, I mean the turnovers,
you know, the big stops. I mean, they're playing really

twist and it's perfect. It is Halloween week.

Hey everyone, I'm a Salem mask ghost tour guide. Check
us out this week Salem Night Tours. But I give
tours at the most haunted spots in Salem. And there
is this giant mansion at the corner of Essex Street
near the Hawthorn and it is where the brutal murder
took place of a man named Captain White. He was
stabbed thirteen times and the murder actually inspired the game Clue.

I've had tons of people take photos of that window
and get a face in their pictures.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
Well, now, yeah, you're familiar with the Captain White story. No,
why do you always ask me questions because I lived
in Salem for a while. Well, I don't know. You know,
it's actually a brutal story.

The eighty two year old merchant was allegedly targeted in
a money motivated crime by two greedy brothers hoping to
secure his fortune. Brothers Joseph and Francis nat enlisted Richard
Crowninshield to carry out out the plan. Late in the evening,
when Captain White is asleep, Dick crowninshields.

Goes upstairs to the second floor and bludgeons the captain
with the club and crushing his skull. Alibiso tells today
dot Com the murder led to a scandalous trial and
is said to have inspired Edgar Allen Poe's The Telltale
Heart and even the board game Clue.

Yeah. I love that word bludgeoning. Wow. Well yeah, check
out that tour. That's cool. Gift so ferocious.

By the way, Billy hosted the Wicked Night at the
Salem Waterfront Hotel this weekend. It sounded like a great
event that was awesome, went off and out a hitch,
But there's a psychic reader that was there that that
does readings in Salem. She dm me and she was
doing readings there for the event. Ah yeah, So she
dm me to see if I was going. I said
it was not, And I said, but Billy is there
do a reading for him? She said, I'm going to

track him down and give Billy Costa a reading. So
then she dm me the next day and said that
she thinks you were scan of her and you were
avoiding her at all costs.

Did you remember meeting her?
Speaker 1 (33:02):
Of course not, she read because I didn't meet her.
She didn't come up and say, hey, can I do
a reading on you? Okay?
Speaker 7 (33:09):
Well you know how Bill, it's skittish, you know what
I mean? He's Yeah, she was probably sitting there doing reading.
Bill saw it went the other way.

Are you afraid of what she's going to find? The cards? No,

So earlier Lisa had a story.

Sixty percent or more of people have said they've had
a paranormal experience, they've seen ghosts. It is Halloween weeks,
so we open the phone lines to talk back, to
take your ghost stories and make us feel scared.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
Did it work? I don't know.
Speaker 13 (33:48):
When I was pregnant with my first child, I was
having a hard time sleeping. It was probably about one
o'clock in the morning and I felt something staring. I
could just feel this eerie feeling, and when I looked.
There was a man standing over the bed and I
was tapping my husband, petrified to wake up, wake up.
And then as we turned back over, the figure just

faded into the wall. The scariest pot was it was
just the top half of a body.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
Okay, okay, oh boygless.
Speaker 7 (34:23):
I got kind of freaked out by that one a
lot bit. But again I said this earlier. I've never
seen a ghost. I'd like to see a ghost. I'll
probably be scared. But what does that say about me?
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Am? I not open minded enough? Again, it comes out
of nowhere. It's whether or not you believe. It just happens, right.
But I'm not a non believer. I just have not
seen them for myself.
Speaker 5 (34:45):
Well, they haven't chosen you yet.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
That's keyword. Yet. Your time will come.
Speaker 12 (34:49):
Yes, Hi, this is Professor Karra from New Jersey, longtime listener,

You were mentioning ghost stories.
Speaker 12 (34:55):
When my daughter was about one and a half, so
old enough to talk, but young enough to still be
in a crib. I came in to get her one
morning and she said to me, Mommy, the rocking chair
stopped rocking. And I said what, And she said, the
rocking chair. It was rocking and now it's not. So
that was a little frightening. I tried not to act scared.
But those little kids, they have some kind of connection.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
Mm.
Speaker 7 (35:19):
The kids thing freaks me out because I do have
this belief that kids can maybe see the other side,
or they see things that we don't, mostly babies.
Speaker 1 (35:29):
No, no, yeah, I want to give me something. I
think I think dogs to see things we don't see.
Speaker 5 (35:34):
You know, I think we see that a lot in movies.
The kids.
Speaker 6 (35:37):
Maybe that's why, because it's always a kid standing next
to someone's bed staring at them.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
Yeah. Well, bills sock, did you see a kid in
the schoolhouse you live in? Yeah, but it was would
appear to be a teacher who was probably a teacher
in the school, and maybe they had some relationship, or
maybe the kid, you know, tragically passed at a young
age or something. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (36:00):
I think it's something to be scared of.
Speaker 1 (36:01):
Though. No, it was very peaceful for me. They're always smiling. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (36:06):
You don't want the ghost attacking you. No, No, you
don't want that.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
No, especially if they're just going to disappear into the wall,
right and only present half there. It's not like that
it's not like what you see in the movies. You
see like horror TV shows. I'm telling you, it comes
out of nowhere and you just lie there and enjoy
it while they're there. Yeah. Well, Hal Colgan visited you
last night, right, was it the Hulk? Okay, somebody in
(36:33):
the middle of the night just shouted at like, Hey,
I don't think it was Hulk. Well, he's just went
to heaven. Like I rolled over, I said, what Like
I thought Michelle was calling me. Yeah, and she was
sound asleep. Yeah, that's freaky. Also, everybody worried. I just
got another headline Boston gearing up for a wet Halloween.

So we keep hearing about rain for the Friday night
Halloween festivities we're gonna have. Hopefully we'll have our guy
Jason Michael, meteorologist over at WBZ. He'll break it all down.
