And yeah, the Talkbacker of the Year will be as well.
Hopefully we'll have that person in studio.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Yeah, are we up for awards Friday?
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Yeah, what do you mean?
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Okay, I want to double check that's still in the works.
Speaker 9 (01:45):
Yes, no, it says it's a tradition.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
It's a tradition every year.
Speaker 10 (01:48):
Uh huh.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
That'll be Friday, and yeah, the Talkbacker of the Year.
This is a tough decision, but we will pick a
Talkbacker of the Year and we will honor all of
our favorite talkbackers, including you, Lucy.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yeah, yeah, that's gonna be fun.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
It's going to be a tight race.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
All right, We have an update on that anniversary trip.
Remember this from last week, the one month long anniversary
trip for the husband and wife across Europe.
Speaker 11 (02:11):
Good morning, morning crew, It's Shannon and Ryan checking in
again from our anniversary trip. Today is day seventeenth, and
we just spent the weekend in rey kovc Iceland. We
did the amazing Golden Circle tour. It's so beautiful here.
I know Lisa has been and we just wanted to
say thank you for coming along with us on our trip,
and I hope you all have a great day.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
She's saying, Day seventeen, the hell's going on with those trip?
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Good for that, But Iceland night. She talked about Iceland backstage.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Yeah, and I said, oh, Lisa Dunovan so wanted to
meet you because she's in love with Iceland.
Speaker 12 (02:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
I can't believe I missed that interview. I want to
know if she did the hike.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
I asked her six. Yeah, that tourist thing.
Speaker 9 (02:56):
Oh, it's a tourist.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
He just wasn't a hiker. Yeah, yeah, she's not into that.
But she talked a lot about Iceland. It was pretty cool.
You can watch the interview Kiss oneawait dot com. In
the meantime, let's go to Elaine on line four called
twenty five.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Elaine, you're calling twenty five.
Speaker 13 (03:13):
Thank you so excited.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
You know, you really don't sound any Layne. I just
thought i'd mentioned that. Give me your best excitement to
Elane like, whoa, Okay, all right, Elaine is in Boston,
somewhere in Boston. So you've got a pair of Takency
Edge Sharon Stadium show Jillette Stadium next September and you
(03:41):
qualify for the autograph.
Speaker 9 (03:43):
Vinyl YEP from that Sharon.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
So hold on, Elaine and you'll talk to producer run. Okay,
thank you for listening.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Kiss one O eight. So this is so cool.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Our buddy Matt here who works down the hall at
one of our sister stations, WBZ News Radio or otherwise
known as at reporter Matt on Instagram. Correct, he's got
a one man show, one night only coming to the
wilbur Theater.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
This is awesome, Matt.
Speaker 13 (04:09):
Yeah, it's surreal they actually approached me about this. I
never would have gone to the Wilberth Theater because in
my mind, that's huge, that's huge, I didn't think more
than like my parents and two of my friends from
the group Chat would come out to this thing.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
But they're like, we.
Speaker 13 (04:22):
Think you can do it.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
We really believe in you.
Speaker 13 (04:24):
We've done stuff with Kiss one to wait before. If
Kiss can do it, you can do it. And I'm like,
all right, fine, I believe you. And yeah, now the
tickets have been on sale for less than a week
and they're like seventy five percent gone already.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Well, they'll be gone by the end of this interview, okay,
if we have our way.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
So you know, I'm the producer of this show. Yeah,
So I get emails all the time from all these
venues when they announced these big shows, right and so
on Friday an email came in from the Wilburg and
so I looked at it and it said I did
a double take. It said Matt Shearer live on stage.
I texted him, I go, what is this?
Speaker 1 (04:56):
And then we were texting each other. I said, Matt
share got to show the Wilbur.
Speaker 13 (04:59):
And I'm like, listen, if if that press release intrigued you,
I know a guy I got connections.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
I can get him in the room if you need them.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
All Right, We're gonna talk more about the show and
what people can expect. But you went to your first
ever jingle Ball last night? What were yoursion?
Speaker 13 (05:14):
Okay, it was amazing, first of all, and we were
just talking about music back there too, Like I have
a weird taste in music. I listened to a lot
of punk rock, hardcore, metal, loud stuff.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Right. The loudest concert I've ever been to really jingle Ball.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Because you go to those hard edge shows are to
just punch each other in the face, and ye.
Speaker 13 (05:32):
Punch each other in the face. Hey, I've taken boots
to the face. I've gone home bloody before.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
And you go as a fan, you don't segment. I
go to hop up on stage and then jump onto
people's heads.
Speaker 14 (05:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
One of my best friends, Alan is a big into
the hardcore scene. He tries to get me to go
every weekend. I asked Matt Scherre, do you know any
of these bands like Converge this week?
Speaker 13 (05:49):
He knew them all, Converge our local legends. Yeah, yeah,
and so. But again, like jingle Ball is loud, and
I think it's not just because like the music is loud,
but the Yeah, it's had.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
Some magical space when jingle t Garden.
Speaker 13 (06:04):
Yeah, like hardcore shows are like a lot of bro energy.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Yes, and this is what you are into, Like he's
doing it now, God on camera from you. Yeah he's
quiet and Matt sure.
Speaker 13 (06:23):
But then you go to jingle Ball and you got
like all the young fans in particular who are really loud,
that are singing in pitches that only dogs can hear.
Speaker 9 (06:32):
And and the and their moms.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
And that's right.
Speaker 13 (06:35):
And I'll tell you the loudest moment of the night
took Pop demon Hunter sing along.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Oh God, like without a job.
Speaker 13 (06:42):
Yeah, so many big artists and everything, but once they
put the K Pop demon Hunters on the screen, it
wasn't even.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Them, It was just and the v bros going all right.
Speaker 13 (06:52):
I felt bad for the v bros in that moment,
to be honest, because they were not the stars.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
The screen was up on the screen. The cap Pop
Demon Hunters were the stars.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
Matt, I have to bring this up. I'm looking at
you and your left eye is bloodied.
Speaker 15 (07:04):
You know.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Were you in a mash pit of jingle on Friday night? Yeah?
Speaker 13 (07:08):
On Friday night I went to see Choke Up and
Rebuild Her Over at Brighton Music Hall shout out those bands.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
But yeah, no, it's like a minute, you have a
bloodied eye from Friday Night.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
I guess this is awesome. What an elbow to the face?
Speaker 1 (07:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (07:24):
A few?
Speaker 13 (07:24):
Oh, I mean it was that was a more mellow crowd,
to be honest. That was more of like a singalongy
kind of crowd. But no, no, no, I I.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Woke up with this. I have no idea what this game,
why I was at the show. It could have been
a part of that, but okay, other impressions of Jingle Bob.
Speaker 13 (07:37):
Well, so I was like kind of low key trying
to get something with Ed Sheeran, Like I had my
microphone ready to go, my camera. I just wanted something,
and I was like walking around backstage and just like
trying to get pictures of the stage, and producer Riley
says to she was like, you literally just walked by
Ed Sheeran, Like how did you not notice him? And
I'm like, oh my god, you're right, And so she
(07:59):
left and I told her what I was up to,
and like I'm getting closer and closer, inching my way
towards Ed Sheeran, and then like I'm like there's one
person in between us. Now, I'm like, my moment's about
to happen. And Riley came over and she didn't see him,
and she's like.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Have you talked to Ed yet?
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Well?
Speaker 2 (08:13):
What are you gonna say when you see him? When
you are you talking headliner? I'm like, should be quiet?
Speaker 15 (08:20):
I know.
Speaker 13 (08:20):
Well I was going to until our boss said don't
do it, So yeah, yeah, that would have been bad.
Speaker 15 (08:25):
I know.
Speaker 13 (08:25):
But I was thinking if I was casually like happing
to be standing next to him and be like, hey man,
real quick, I have a thought, I have an idea.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
But I know he wasn't doing interview, so so I
know you do really really nice pieces on your Instagram
at Reporter Matt. So did you do something for at
Reporter Matt at jingle Ball last night and where can
people find it?
Speaker 2 (08:42):
I guess yes.
Speaker 13 (08:43):
I was mostly just capturing videos for the story and stuff,
and I got a pop Dog actually wrote our friend
DJ pup Dog from down the Hall wrote me into
something with Sean Paul that might turn into something.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Ah, okay, okay, so that's fun.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
Okay, J pop Dog is right there. But I did.
I am posting some videos and stuff on my story
right now.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
At reporter Matt Okay, let's talk about your one man
show one night as do you have that song one night?
Speaker 9 (09:14):
Is it like a variety show pretty much?
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Yes.
Speaker 13 (09:16):
So the funny thing about my videos is like, and
unlike other reporters, I bring back a lot of recurring guests.
You know, these people that I don't know. They're so
lovable and fun and funny. It's like, why would you
talk to them once and send them on their way forever?
And so people that you've met I brought here into
the studio, like Parry from Love on the Spectrum, Richard
aka Maria Christina, false eyelashes, beloved characters who are so.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Funny and like.
Speaker 13 (09:41):
I want to get them all on the same stage
at the same time, having a conversation together.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
I'll interview them one by one.
Speaker 13 (09:46):
Tell stories behind the scenes, show some unreleased footage stuff
like that, and then have a few surprises along the way.
So I think it's just going to be a really fun,
hilarious night of real Bostonians. These aren't professional comedians, they're
just really funny people.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Now, are you going to have a giant jumbo tron
screen and everything?
Speaker 8 (10:03):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (10:03):
Yeah, because you gotta show your videos.
Speaker 13 (10:05):
I gotta show except all my videos are vertical. I'm
wondering if they can turn the jumbo tron like ninety
degrees so that it's vertical for the videos.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
But I don't know if they'll do that. Wow, this
is exciting. Well, yeah, he'll have an opening act.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
Yeah, is the wilbur dot com for tickets, Matt, the
Wilber dot com.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
That's right, let's sell it out right now.
Speaker 15 (10:24):
Yes, Liza, Now the entertainment update with a Billy constep.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Okay, we're going to start with the Patriots. They're kind
of getting lost in the middle of all the headlines.
But they lost the Bills yesterday. They had a chance
to clinch the afcast, they had a chance to lock
up a spot in the playoffs. They had a twenty
one point lead and they blew it.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
You brough it.
Speaker 9 (10:53):
How do you mess that up?
Speaker 12 (10:55):
God?
Speaker 4 (10:55):
I was texting all my friends and Billy the first half. Yeah,
super Bowl We're coming. We're unstoppable, We're unbeatable.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
In the second half game they looked perfect. In the
first quarter. I think at the end of the first
quarter they were up twenty one zip. In the first quarter,
I think the Bills only had a total of fourteen yards,
not a single first down, and we managed to lose
that game. Drake May, what's up, dog?
Speaker 16 (11:20):
Yeah, just don't let you don't let it beat you twice.
You'll move on to the next week and learn from it,
and you'll take what we can and know that we
got some football ahead of us. That is important, still
very important, and don't just go hang our hat and
keep your head up and know that you know we
had a chance and you know we're there. Just that
made more plays and credit to them.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
No, we're trying to move on. We talked about this earlier.
We actually met Drake May's parents at Strega in the North.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Then it's Saturday afternoon.
Speaker 9 (11:48):
It was Saturday.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
Yeah, it was a brunch that we had pre jingle
ball brunch for all that on air, Yeah, and marketing
and yeah, they were at the next table and they
were introduced to us, and he came over and said
some nice things and Trent chanting Drake's name.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
Yeah, we got the whole restaurant to chance. Drake. Drake
filmed the mom filmed it. Yeah. I was hoping she
would post it somewhere. Maybe she did. I don't know.
But too bad Drake wasn't there. We could have said, Hi,
Drake May what's up?
Speaker 10 (12:14):
Dog?
Speaker 1 (12:16):
Okay, Pats are going to play the Ravens Sunday night.
They've got a pretty easy schedule going forward. That's the
good news. Uh. There was a moment of silence before
the game in Foxborough yesterday for the victims on the
Brown University campus. And by the way, the update on
that is that the person of interest that they had
(12:39):
in custody we thought was the gunman was not. So
that person has been released and the investigation is back
on right.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
It is the search right.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
But they've canceled exams for this week, so the students
are have been basically sent home.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Yeah, what a crazy situation. Josh Allen and the bills.
We're staying at a hotel near the Brown University campus
and Josh said this yesterday.
Speaker 10 (13:02):
It's a terrible thing. But yeah, I mean, obviously we're out,
some guys are eating dinner, you know, blocks away from
where it was going on, and you know, making sure
that we were getting updates from our team. And I
thought we did a great job of communicating with everybody
and adding some extra security, you know, at the hotel.
But you had a very scary situation.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
A big win for Josh Allen yesterday and he's got
a baby on the way. Was that announced over the weekend.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
With Haley Steinfeld, I didn't even know they were together.
Speaker 9 (13:28):
Yeah they got married.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Yeah, hot couple.
Speaker 9 (13:30):
They've been together for many for several years.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Well, I don't really cover much Hailey Steinfeld News and
we reported the story.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Yeah, it was a while.
Speaker 9 (13:37):
Again, Eley did one of our shows.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Yeah, he's too focused on Drake May.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Drake May, what's up?
Speaker 2 (13:41):
Dog?
Speaker 1 (13:47):
There was another tragedy in the news. Hollywood actor and
director Rob Reiner and his wife were found stabbed to
death in their Los Angeles home, and the investigation is
on knowing it. Do we have any kind of an
update this morning?
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Just a yeah.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
So they were found by their daughter and their throats
were slit.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
Oh, for God's sake, it's just horrendous.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (14:07):
They're saying that People mag is reporting the son Nick
is the main suspect, but no, Wow, no official word yet.
Speaker 9 (14:15):
There's so many horrific stories.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
It's one after the other.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Yeah, it's it's just been a bad weekend. And we
talked about this earlier. It's hard to do our show
because we're here to kind of make people laugh, lighten
things up in the world. And when there were days
and mornings like this.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
Uh and we're coming off a jingle ball, yes, blowing
and all excited and yeah, it's not easy.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Uh well, how about John Cena. He had his final
match with the WWE in d C and lost his
final mass match to uh Gunter.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
How are you going to lose your final match?
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Like? Yeah, they had to. They should have set it up.
It's all fake, but they just up terrible. How do
you not let them walk away with a win? You
know what they're probably thinking, rematch, Well, he'll prounce you.
He'll probably come back. They always come back. That's all
part of the storyline.
Speaker 4 (15:04):
Yeah, you know what I mean. But yeah, Billy, you're right.
Whoever wrote the script there, yeah should have.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
How about we pay a little bit of attention to
script writing and a little bit less attention to cupcakes.
Speaker 7 (15:20):
That was a moment, Yeah, it really was. Everybody was
bringing cupcakes in. I'm a couple more.
Speaker 15 (15:32):
Me.
Speaker 17 (15:33):
See.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
We try to make you laugh, right, we just make
ourselves laugh and hope people laugh about with us. That's
exactly kindness.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Influencer Sam Widenoffer was at our jingle ball last night.
He was there at the John Cena fight in d
C achieving a child's dream chuck it out.
Speaker 18 (15:51):
We took a cance a three time survivor call Benji
just last night and he was able to meet John
Cena and you know he John Tena just stood behind
him and he's like, where do you come from? And
John Cena's like, well, that's the thing. You can't see me.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
And more moments from backstage last night at dingle Ball.
Miles Smith and Ed Shearan now their buddies, right, They
hang out. They hang out together all the time, and
they were hanging out backstage last night. Miles talked to
me about his friendship with Ed.
Speaker 19 (16:21):
I've known Ed the best part of the last eighteen months.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
I would say. We went to a football game.
Speaker 19 (16:26):
We watched Arsenal, which is my team of us Ipswitch,
and we, yeah, we sat and watched the game. We won,
of course, and became friends. Ever ever soon after probably
as I'm sure you guys will know, he's the most
normal person in this world. So it's just like having
another best friend, you know, it's like for someone who
does so much and has such an exceptional career, he
is the most grounded and normal human.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
And we saw that last night with Ed Shearan. He
was basically talking with all the artist backstage and.
Speaker 9 (16:54):
He was like a super fan for Zara Larceni.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
Yeah, Olivia Dean.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
He walked in the building with his jaz It's still
on and ran for Zur Loss and he ran right
by me with his jacket on Big.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
Win and he was very into the show. You could tell.
He just stayed there side stage and watched a couple
of acts. Olivia Dean had the crowd on their feet
jumping the man I need and I after about the
story behind that song.
Speaker 14 (17:16):
The story was we were in the studio and I
knew that I wanted to make something fun and full
of joy and that if it came on you just
immediately had to dance to it, something that I could
tour and just have fun with. And I think kind
of started with the drum.
Speaker 19 (17:30):
Groove a shuffle.
Speaker 14 (17:31):
We love a shuffle, and then we had the chords
on the whorlly and I'm playing on the track and
it just kind of fell out. It was one of
those songs that was just born out of joy, and
I think that that's what can be heard in it,
you know. And I could have never have imagined how
much that song has changed my life, and I love
(17:52):
singing it every time still.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
By the way, Olivia Dean couldn't let go of one
of the puppies last night from Chewiye clause backstage, and
she actually went into the little corral with all of
the puppies and sat on the floor and just had
some fun with them.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
We posted all of these beautiful pictures and videos on
our Instagram, just go to Kiss Went Away.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Yeah, and all the full length interviews at Kiss went
Away dot com.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Want to watch but yeah, across all socials.
Speaker 4 (18:15):
And then tonight seven o'clock we are re airing the
special backstage edition of the Kiss Top thirty Countdown with
all the biggest moments.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
Yeah, seven o'clock tonight, that's right. Meantime, Lady Gaga had
her show over the weekend. One of her dancers slid
right off the stage in Sydney, Australia. Gaga addressed the crowd,
okay everybody to say with us tonight with the land,
we'll doing a lot.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
Of dancing epistles to slip and slide.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
There she went, and a teaser trailer for the new
season of Euphoria dropped this weekend. We have a clip
a few.
Speaker 9 (18:55):
Years after high school.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
I don't know if life was exactly what I wish.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
You walk up in the mouse. You don't even introduce yourself.
Speaker 12 (19:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (19:05):
I like how they're not pretending they're still in high
school because it's been like three or four years since
the last season.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
Aren't they moving it forward five years right? Probably helps
make it more sense. Yeah, I can't and yet still
in high school. I can't wait. You know what's great
about Euphoria. There's a lot of things, but the music
is really really good. They have a great sound. Oh yeah,
like a lot of the songs I heard in the
first couple of seasons. I still listen to old songs too,
(19:31):
Like there's a Sheinad O'Connor song called Drink before the War.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
Oh, it's like a power ballad. I never heard it
until Euphoria, and I still listened to It's a good song.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
So I was driving home from jingle Ball last night.
It was pretty late, but I saw a post that
Tom Brady had sent out. Do you have that justin
where he talks about my son Chris.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
Yeah, name dropped him. All right, that's a wrap from La.
Speaker 20 (19:54):
We're off to Vegas to open card vault number ten.
I just got a text from my boy Chris Costa
and they brought a two thousand contenders football box out
to Vegas from the warehouse. Chris, you better not open
a single pack without being there.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
I'm on my way. I'll see you soon.
Speaker 9 (20:11):
Oh nice, big shout out there, my.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
Fourth Sun right there, Tom Brady, Oh Sun and shouting
out this kid brother.
Speaker 20 (20:18):
I just got a text from my boy Chris Costa.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
Hey, we're brought to you by Wilson Farm in Lexington.
You're a holiday headquarters, mouth watering meats and side dishes,
gorgeous floral arrangements, Gormet gift baskets, by the way, and
they've got.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
Every text from my boy Chris Costa. Excuse me, Bill, Okay, okay.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
They have everything you need to make this year merry,
bright and easy. Visit Wilson Farm in Lexington or go
online at Wilson Farm dot com.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
Here you go, Boston.
Speaker 14 (20:51):
Hello, it's me Olivia Dean and you're waking up with
Billy and Lisa in the Morning on Kiss one A wait, Hi,
Lisa from.
Speaker 9 (20:59):
The planet is Kiss one O eight Studios. We're back
with the Villy and Lisa in the Morning.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
Hey guys, welcome back. Happy Monday. It's the Monday morning
after Jingle Ball, which by the way, was fabulous. Thank
you to everybody who showed up and were there. It
was a phenomenal night. It looked like everybody had a ball.
It was very festive and it's well, it's the kick
off to the holiday season. It's America's Christmas party and
it really lived up to the hype last night. But
(21:26):
it's tough doing a show in a morning like this
because there was so much tragedy out there and our
job in the morning is to kind of, you know,
keep people uplifted and laughing and help them get ready
for their day and help to get the kids off
to school. But just an incredible tragedy on the Brown
University campus. And by the way, there is an update
(21:49):
to that story. The person of interest that was taken
into custody, supposedly the gunman has been released. Apparently is
not the person which is kind of scary because it
means that the gunman is still out there, and my
phone was lighting up all weekend long, people texting me
asking how Lisa Dunovan is doing because her son, Max
(22:09):
goes to Brown University. And I'm sure your.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Phone, Lisa, we were.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
Yeah, So many of our listeners are reaching out, and
I want to say thank you for thinking of our family,
thinking about the Brown community in general through this whole thing.
So I really want to mention that it was really
overwhelming the support.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
Now, keep in mind, two students were killed, nine others hospitalized.
One is supposedly very critical. And like I said, Lisa
son Max goes to Brown University and we've got him
on the phone right now.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Max.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
You there, Yeah, I'm here. Max.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
I got to tell you something.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
I'm always happy to see you when I see you,
but when I saw you last night, it was very
happy to see you.
Speaker 15 (22:52):
So I appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Billy, it's eansy to see you too.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
First and foremost, how are you doing, Max?
Speaker 15 (22:58):
I'm physically okay. I'm just grateful that I was here.
I didn't have to experience that tragedy firsthand, but it's
kind of weird being away from it. All My friends
were sheltered in place for twelve fourteen hours and they're
really shaking up, and so am I.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
So, yeah, Max, have they reactivated the shelter in place
because right now they don't know where this guy is.
Speaker 15 (23:21):
No, there's no shelter in place currently in order. I
mean people are sheltering in place voluntarily, but there's no
mandatory order at this time.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Well, a lot of people have already left, correct because
they canceled exams this week.
Speaker 15 (23:33):
Yeah, they killed everything, all classes, all exams. The first
semester is over, I would say the vast majority of
students have left by this point.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
So what happens with your grades? Max?
Speaker 15 (23:46):
So basically, there's a couple options. If I was satisfact.
If I was satisfied with my grades up to the
point of the shooting, that's it. That's my grades for
the semester. If for some reason I wasn't satisfied with
my grades, I could choose to take the class pass fail.
They would extend that deadline and they would they would
be marked to my transfer best extenuating circumstances. And if
(24:07):
I had any further like projects or papers that I
wanted to submit from my finals, I can do that
by January seventh, and now there's kind of three approaches
to that.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
Now to the hard part, Max, you knew a couple
of the victims.
Speaker 15 (24:23):
I did. Yeah, so I'm not going to say any names.
But the girl who was two rooms down for me
was shot multiple times. She's in the hospital, she's getting
surgery today, her family's here. That's a terrible situation.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
And then I do know one kid phone.
Speaker 15 (24:42):
We talked to him the dorm lounge in the evenings.
Just a great kid, and he did pass away unfortunately.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
I think the thing that stands out for me is
that this class that this guy went into, Max was
telling me, was primarily a freshman econ class primarily, so
you know, all these kids had just started the first
semester of Brown, they're all getting to know each other,
they're developing friendships, and then this happens, this tragic situation.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
And Max, you've been in this classroom multiple times, right, yeah.
Speaker 15 (25:14):
I believe it was the classroom right next to where
I have math every day. So thank you right there.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
Now, have you spoken with any of your friends, any
of the students on campus since the tragedy, Spucking.
Speaker 15 (25:26):
With all my closest friends there. They're all fine.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
Thank God.
Speaker 15 (25:30):
Some of them have already left for home. My roommate,
I think, is going to come up and stay with
us for a couple of days. He's from California, because it's.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
Not easy to just up and leave a lot of
these people with a lot of these students come in
from overseas.
Speaker 15 (25:41):
Right, Yeah, exactly a lot of international students who can't
get home.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
Wow.
Speaker 9 (25:46):
Have you have you heard anything else from the school
this morning?
Speaker 15 (25:51):
No, I've heard some from my teachers individually about just
checking in with us and you know, telling us what
the situation is going to be for finals and grades
and stuff like that.
Speaker 9 (26:02):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
And even more tragically, Max, I heard that a couple
of the students who were there during the shooting had
been through another school shooting. Yeah.
Speaker 15 (26:15):
I looked at the news, and I guess that is
your two students at Brown have experienced the school shooting before.
One of them was in Parkland and Florida.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
Why.
Speaker 15 (26:23):
And then I think another girl was actually shot in
the stomach many years ago. I think it was in California.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
What are the odds of that?
Speaker 15 (26:32):
It's unfathomable, infintestically small.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
Wow. Well, Max, it's great to hear your voice it
was great to see you, if only for a couple
of minutes last night. And our thoughts and prayers go
out to the families of your friends and of all
the victims, because, like Lisa said, there are still nine
people in the hospital. I think at least two maybe
three of which are critical, So our thoughts and prayers
(26:55):
go out to them and Max. Thanks for checking in.
I not know. It hasn't been an easy weekend. Certainly
not an easy morning for you.
Speaker 15 (27:04):
Appreciate it you, Lisa, kiss one, await.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
Talk back leftovers, buddy, Let's get a few looks like
everyone's waking up from jingle Ball last night.
Speaker 4 (27:13):
It's nine thirty. We didn't have from them early on
because while they were sleeping. Well welcome.
Speaker 17 (27:18):
Hey, it's real Sarah from Maine. I'm just waking up
now after doing the down and back to jingle Ball.
And what an amazing experience that was. You guys throw
a great party and a great concert and you all
did fantastic and just what a time to be alive
jingle Ball. Kiss one, await, great job, everyone, have a
(27:41):
fantastic day getting your voices back.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Hi, you two say you know I got to tell
you one of my favorite moments last night and the
TD Garden for jingle Ball was me, Lisa and Justin.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
We were all.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
Standing on stage as Ed Sheeran took the stage and
I just and I know you did the same.
Speaker 15 (27:58):
Lease.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
I just looked out at the cry out, the massive crowd,
everybody on their feet and just living their dream, and
I'm like, what magical events.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
I have to say.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
I was so grateful and thankful that are that that's
who listens to us, and those are our fans, and
everyone comes together and has this giant party and sing along.
Speaker 9 (28:20):
It was really.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Amazing, entire family.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
I was looking at like.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
A ten year old girls dancing and jumping up to
edge Yer and I'm like, look at spanning the ages
this show.
Speaker 2 (28:31):
It was quite a moment.
Speaker 6 (28:32):
They kiss one to wait. I am just sitting in
a talk back. This is Holly went to the jingle
Ball last night. Best time of my life, so much fun.
I am going to go every single year. It was
my first one and I just don't even know who
was my favorite last night. And you guys all looked beautiful,
such a good time.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
Well that's nice, thank you.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
I was really nice to hear.
Speaker 4 (28:56):
Yeah, so a lot of people have gone, you know,
year after year since they were young, and then there's
always people experiencing.
Speaker 9 (29:02):
It for the first time new traditions.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
You're like, well it really is something. I mean, we
do it every single year. But the rotating stage, Yeah,
to see it in action, no waiting, Like so one
act is performing, they're setting up the stage behind there,
and then it just rotates, so there's really not much
waiting in between.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Yeah, we invented.
Speaker 9 (29:20):
It's seamless.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
Yeah, it's great.
Speaker 11 (29:22):
Jingle Ball was great, Billy, justin Lisa, you all looked amazing,
brought the whole family as a Christmas oding and we
had a great time. Thanks so much, Happy Holidays.
Speaker 4 (29:33):
Thank you you too. Wow, I can't believe it's over.
It was all this, all this build up and all
this hype and in this great show and now we're
here a little tired.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
But yeah, we're walking down the hall leaving. It is like, wow,
another one in the can.
Speaker 8 (29:48):
Miles Smith at jingle Ball last night a lot ash show.
I definitely think he was one of the top performers.
My little ten year old was geeking out when he
saw you guys just go out on stage. Great show.
Speaker 4 (30:03):
Yeah, it's so funny. Miles Smith. We had him talking
earlier about doing the dubliner before the show. Yeah, he
announced that around two o'clock where the location would be,
and as social media just went nuts. We like scrambling
at castle gets people down there. Yeah, you know, we
were around there down to see um and that was amazing.
And then he just drove right over a jingle ball.
Yeah really good, really good.
Speaker 12 (30:23):
Ey team wanted to say thank you for an amazing
night last night. Kingle Ball was incredible. My daughter's first
The absolute highlight for me, other than the artists, which
were all amazing, was the little girl who got up
with Zar Larson. She absolutely crushed it and was just amazing.
Like her confidence she got I was. We were blown
(30:44):
away with her. I'd love to see if you guys
would like get her on or something and you just
do a shout out.
Speaker 11 (30:50):
She was amazing.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
Yeah, Zara does it in all of our shows, right.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
Yeah. She pulled someone up on stage and I watched it.
I we had a screen backstage. I saw her backstay.
It was really really good. So kiss Oneawait dot com.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
We want to see all of the interviews, all of
our social media.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
Kiss One to Wait.
Speaker 5 (31:08):
It's the morning wrap up on Billy and Lisa in
the Morning, our first.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
And foremost jingle, All Amazing.
Speaker 4 (31:13):

about it. You can catch the full recap, all the moments,
all the interviews, kiss oneawait dot com, all the kiss
want to Wait social and don't forget seven o'clock tonight, Billy, Billy,
myself and Lisa The backstage Countdown will re air tonight
at seven o'clock. Also, this morning, we talked about is
(31:34):
cash king when it comes to Christmas? Obviously it's crunch
time and Lisa, what is it? Three out of five
people for cash?
Speaker 9 (31:40):
They want it.
Speaker 4 (31:41):
They don't want presents, they don't want goofy gifts, they
want cold, hard cash.
Speaker 21 (31:44):
Good morning guys, especially Billy, listen. Cash is great, but
there's something a little strange about getting cash from somebody
younger than you. It feels a little weird. And all
I want for Christmas, aside from Billy obviously, is to
listen to Lisa's Christmas song and this place and that
place place, Samanoid, Yeah, to be at this place.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
This place, this place, this place, lugging again, we never
got the items.
Speaker 9 (32:06):
Place, this place, this place, this place.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
Lugging any something's never changed.
Speaker 1 (32:10):
The good news for me is I'm never younger than anyone.
I'm getting a gift for you.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
Always the eldest come. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (32:19):
And by the way, if Billy's boyfriend they are the
talkbacker who is in the running for Talkbacker of the Year,
I may have a Christmas gift for him. So if
he's listening to this, sending a talk back with your
information and maybe we'll send you send it to you. Ah,
a special Christmas gift from Billy Costa himself his lover.
Speaker 1 (32:38):
Yeah, I'm sucking up just saying.
Speaker 4 (32:40):
But also in that topic time about cash being king
or not, we got a call from Kristen in Easton.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (32:48):
Before she could even get to what she wanted to
say about the cash, she revealed something about going on
in Easton.
Speaker 12 (32:53):
Supposedly, a very high profile singer songwriter is moving to
my neighborhood and she's dating a member of the Patriots.
Speaker 11 (33:03):
So Cardi b's.
Speaker 12 (33:09):
Hold on, Yes, and in my neighborhood, which is even
crazier because when we bought it a few years ago.
We bought it because it was a very quiet family neighborhood,
not for long.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
Damn.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
She seems pretty confident that Cardi b Is about to
buy a house in Easton, Massachusetts.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
Boy, that's going to wake up the neighborhood. Sugar treating
will be even more.
Speaker 1 (33:29):
Fun next Oh yeah, I'm guessing full candy bars definitely.
Speaker 4 (33:34):
Oh, you may be full boxes for everybody. Yeah, we'll
keep an eye on that. Also, this morning, we had
Matt Cheer from wb Z on reporter. Matt has a
live show at the Wilburg coming up next year.
Speaker 13 (33:45):
It's surreal they actually approached me about this. I never
would have gone to the Wilber Theater because in my
mind that's huge.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
I don't I didn't.
Speaker 13 (33:51):
Think more than like my parents and two of my
friends from the group chat would come out to this thing.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
But they're like, we think you can do it.
Speaker 1 (33:57):
We really believe in you.
Speaker 13 (33:59):
We've done stuff with just want to wait before. If
kiss can do it, you can do it.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
And I'm like, all right, fine, I believe you and U. Yeah.
Speaker 13 (34:05):
Now, the tickets have been on sale for less than
a week and they're like seventy five percent gone already.
Speaker 4 (34:10):
Yeah, let's sell this out for Matt. He's a great guy,
does a lot for people. The Wilburd dot com. Yeah,
tickets is coming up in April, and he's gonna have
all of his characters from all of his videos, like
Parry from Love on the Spectrum on stage and.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
His stories are awesome and they'll come to life on
a large green. It's gonna be very cool. Yeah, it's
gonna be it's gonna be great. So check that out.
And yeah, the Patriots lost, it's up with that, Drake May,
what's up?
Speaker 6 (34:32):
Dog?
Speaker 2 (34:34):
I don't know what happened for but it lives now.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
And that's a wrap from The Billy and Lisa Morning
Show on a Monday after jingle Ball. We'll see you
tomorrow morning, everybody. Thanks for tuning in by now
